This phone is shit! I had it for two years and I had several issues like two times went crazy for it self responding and I had to send it to repair two Times. On the sides of the screen it comes in to much dust you can easy see it and the screen response oh god! Awful!!! Its made of plastic and if you press it to hard due several no responses becomes that part damage and you wont be able to use that part of the screen anymore until you replace the hole screen, the only great thing is the camera it makes great pics and video quality is awesome!!!!!! So my advice is Don't buy it!!! Instead get the xperia ray....is just 5 times better and it has a great anti scratch glass screen, response inmediately and his camara is just wow!!! I had it also for two years and didnt have any problem at all.

I'm deeply grieved for my already died Vivaz.. Just using it for approx 6moth or something.. I did love how the camera and the video capture.. the 720p screen quite good though.. It's resistive touch so can't say about the screen , it need some effort.. Already hack the Symbian and already running what the **** the apps is, its 2-3years old, its running so much better than the current UI.. Playing Need For Speed Shift on this phone.. I'm serious, no lag.. Google for downloading Symbian Apps.. :'( Really sad for bad experience with it..

I used this phone for appro. 3 yrs. Frankly speaking, the only major problem of this phone is the unsensitive screen. It could be a great frustration before you get used to it. However, the credits of this phone fall into its photo quality and shock resistance. It would be a good companion, a long-lived companion, but not an ideal "toy".

ok this phone is a 2010 phone, already 4 years old, all the old tech and running on symbian S60v5 which is already abandoned. And seriously, people trying to compare to phones nowaday? I still have this phone, bought 3.5 years ago, and can still work well, but the biggest problem is, apps support. It was a good phone back in the day, but not today. This phone is totally outdated, in hardware & software. Simply not worth the money, just get any low end android if u have low budget. Better app support. Even if u can get Symbian apps, u still need to have skill & know the "trick" to install them, its not for average users.

Don't buy this phone. The quality of the handset is poor, mine started falling apart within 2 months of ownership. Its responsiveness is not great, the touch-resistive screen is nowhere near as good as Samsung's screens. Seriously, choose a Samsung over this phone.

If u r facing with that problem. Try to turn off your phone when it does not start up, take out the memory card and swith it on again. After that, you can insert the memory card back. It freezes at the start up screen because before you turn off the phone, there were many running background apps. U can download App Stop for Symbian.

Terrible phone. Really a garbage. Battery wears off rather quickly, and that OS... OMG Symbian is such a piece of sh!t, I'm glad it's dead. Overall, a big let down I totally got the buyer's remorse, especially after the perfect Motorola Razr V8 that I had. It's a thing of the past now, but noted to myself, never again Symbian, SE (now Sony) showcased a good portion of phones but the build in quality is what is holding me back. Plus the Motorola RazrI is out so yeah.

You must be turned it off in options,because there is option to displey rotate or not....Menu/Settings/Phone/Sensor settings/Turning control/Auto rotate display(should be marked) :D :) That's it,..I'm glad if I helped you....

I got this phone because I liked the specs, but boy did I wish I did not get this phone. This phone has a mind of its own, and doesn't care about you. Here are the problems I had with it: 1. The unlock is super easy, and when the phone is in your pocket it will be doing everything from changing your shortcuts, to pocket dialing people. 2. If I go inside where there is no service, the phone will not look for service no matter what. Even if you leave, and go somewhere else and wait 4 hours, It will not let you find service and call unless you turn it off, then back on. 3. Even when on silent, sometimes the vibration will not go off, so you end up missing a bunch of phone calls, and texts, and people get mad at you. 4. It can be glitchy at times, such as the screen won't rotate when you rotate the phone, it will freeze for a little while, among other issues. 5. Lastly the camera doesn't do a very good job of taking pictures when it is dark, the flash on it is useless. In Summary: Just go get a Nokia.

i agree totally , the worst phone ever made, it didn't last a year for me either and only 40hours of talk time !!!, it's the best kept phone from me, never dropped, never overused or misused, the factory protective foil still is on the screen, BUT... the touch screen went nuts it clicked it self and dialed random contacts, the camera video recording is good but flickers and misses frames, the still image camera is fine though. The call volume is too low the speaker is low on quality, there is no battery low warning so many times the phone turned off without any notice. GPS won't work unless used within gsm assistance, the battery holds to little time, none of the S60v5 symbian apps works on it, browsing on the internet is a pain in the a*s, the official updates were shut down 2 months after i bought the phone (i paid 400eur for it when it was promoted and when tried to update the software the sony-ericsson site told me you have an old phone model, please buy a new model ...WTF???!

for battery do this: 1)change your flash home screen from "sony ericsson" to other just go menu>>settings>>personal>>stan­dby>>standby theme>>and choose any other HS..Mine use "Tsunanmi Homescreen" it's perfect for battery consumption and also will free up your RAM by 20MB with a great look...download from here 2)go to Settings>>Phone>>Display>> and from Brightness make it's level bar to lowest. 3)go to Settings>>Connectivity>>Network and from "Network mode" select GSM...also from Connectivity go to WIFI select options then settings and from "Show WIFI availability" choose Never.. That's all about options :) now Battery Consumption Depends on your normal usage. For Mic recording: Insert your headphone in the mobile then open camera and press record to record from the headphone mic..now compare the two videos one from phone mic and other from headphone mic if there is a big different so it's your hardware problem, If not so Download BAM MOD it will solve it :) Hope this helped...Salaam (^_^)

this is a third party app for viewing and editing office files i.e "word,,excel,power point,PDF's...etc" it provides an excellent UI and very powerful editing and viewing tools...it's independent app "not an update of the internal viewer" and to install first H@ck your vivaz using this method "everything described in this video" then extract the file you downloaded from previous post and transfer the file inside it named "Picsel Smart Office v1.08(0) S60v5 S^3 SymbianOS9.x Unsigned Retail by DSPDAT.sis" to your vivaz then go to it from your file manager press the file and follow installation instruction then voila! you have installed it.

Nope,I Don't agree It has DLNA,TV out,good pixel density = more real colors,Full flash support = Good web experience "with Opera browser",720MB processor plus a really huge RAM for symbian = Running even a non S60V5 games like PES2011 & NFS shift,Great GPS chip mine locks with 12 satellite...etc And about screen yes I agree it deliver a very bad response but don't tell me you don't know that the phone you're buying has a resistive touch! you and I know before buying vivaz it has a resistive screen. Also almost every backward on symbian which people complain can be override using apps i.e... 1) you don't like the symbian keyboard? just install swype or DayHand input or Baidu input. 2) you don't like all vivaz home screens? just install SPB shell or Tsunami HS. 3) you hate vivaz cause it doesn't have Smart dial? just install "Youlu Address Book" and enjoy smart dialing feature... and many many more! WHEN WILL PEOPLE KNOW THAT WHAT THEY HAVE IS A SMART PHONE THEY WILL BE SURPRISED OF WHAT SMART PHONE CAN DO.

I bought my Vivaz from Amazon for 135$ and I was very excited but after it arrived I was Totally Shocked :( the seller lies about every thing it's not international version it was at&t but unlocked! also there is no headset in the box! and every Original thing in the box was replaced..battery looks very cheap and usb cable has a Blackberry logo!!there was no memory card.I don't know what to do as I can't return it cause I live in egypt..any advice please?

I just bought one for £28 on Ebay 24/07/2012 and it comes boxed with charger etc but it is a used phone not brand new but I have wanted this phone since it came out and knew if I just waited a couple of years I would get it for a fraction of the price it was back in March 2010, also the phone has everything you possibly need plus it is great for pictures and records in high definition, well 720p is more like 2 thirds high definition lol but the phone is not out dated really ether as you have wifi and 3g plus it has gps etc. So I think I got it for a really good deal at only £28 Pounds (ENGLISH STERLING) WELL i KNOW i DID LOL....

The design is cool, it was nicely designed especially at the back of it. Camera and vid are in high quality. Sound is fine. It hangs and you have no choice but to turn it off and on. my rate is 7/10

Totally awful device, definately the worst I've ever had (and used). Bad sound quality, bad wifi connectivity, horrible browsing experience, bad touchscreen, unresponsive in general, average camera, protected against hacking or modding, not to mention it runs on Symbian OS, which is slow, unflexible and uninteresting. Not even for free I would accept that piece of ****, more than 10 years old brick-phones deliver a better experience than Vivaz, run away from it.

I have used the phone for 2 years, yes battery life is not great, but it is a great value phone and have no huge complaints although phone speaker volume is poor. Camera and video recording is good You can find the licences on line to activate adobe and quickoffice (just stick them in the directory). Yes skype works yes mobipocket reader works garmin works (v6 is better than v5.05 but this version needs route directory hack) not all nokia stuff works easiest way to install stuff is to use the route directory hack (hack installs a standard antivirus package to give you route access, then install rompatcher)

People! I don't understand why this phone didn't make heavier impact on market as it should have. Maybe cause of symbian? Anyhow, the mobile is absolutely brilliant in terms of camera results! The only lag is when taking shots on dusk or at night when this what they call-flash light is useable only at near point shot, meaning cm's. My hronological experience with great phones/cameras is k750, k800 (wow!), n82 and now u5i. Two things bother me though. First is that it doesn't have cyber-shot taste with option such as BestPic! (major downer!) and as second, why in the earth SE staff haven't paid attention to all user ideas about updating more, better? SE is no more, I guess we'll never see another update for this piece of art... Although N8 is next on my wishlist, I'm going to keep vivaz to show how design and performance can match... Pozdrav!

FPS stands for Frames Per Second. The quality of video depends on different phones based off their CPU structure and how it can handle many frames at once. In this case, 24fps works best with the Vivaz's 720MHz CPU and the 30fps works best with the 1024 MHz CPU of the Ray. But this is not the case with 24fps which need less space in comparison. So it is upto you to decide which you want; a cinematic, detailed, economic clip or a smoother, vibrant, heavier clip? But yet, I suggest 24fps for high definition use for everyday purposes.

You've got differnet options for typing: on screen portrait-mode keyboard with small buttons, handwriting recognition which is best when used with stylus and landscape-mode keyboard with large buttons. I recommend using the landscape mode for texting since it is fast, smooth and very easy to configure. If you are in search of a keypad with the same specs, then best go for Sony ericsson vivaz pro u8i.

i would just like to say i have had this phone for over a yr and never had any problems with it , its easy to use and very light so u dont feel like u have a brick in ur pocket .the camera is good quality and u have pretty much every function u could need . if someone was lookin at a affordable touch screen phone i would recomend this with out question , my only point on the size of screen is if u do like to spend alot of time on the net then the screen is a little on the small side and can make it tricky to read certain pages , but on a whole a nice little phone for people who dont have the money to buy a iphone for example

i have a vivaz u5i for more then a year now..i have no problem whats so ever with the phone..even now it has 1 of the best cameras on the market and does amaizing pictures during the day light ..i compared my pictures with some pictures i did with a cannon 400d camera ...witch is a prity good camera and the close up pictures are the same ,the sound its not so loud on ither ring tones or cals and some times it moves a littel slower but i have a 8 gb memory card in it and its full so i was expecting thet....it takes damage prity well i droped on the concrit flor a cuple of times and ather then a few srtches it workes fine...the batery its a dicent 1 ...fulll charged it keeps me about 3 days in normal functioning conditions..thet means some calls and a few pictures a day...all the aplications workes for thi phone so yea..the best thing about this phone is the camera tho..1 of the best on the 2012 market ..beter then the 12 megapixel of the nokia phones..far better..becose the quality of the pictures stayes in the lents of the camera not in the megapixels !!!! as far as i know the camera on this phone has carl zise lents and it realy shows..best camera ever.any qestions i will be more then happy to answer ..

Oh c'mon! Honestly, I wouldn't choose the Galaxy Y over the Vivaz. These are stereotypes created to ditch Symbian saying that Android is better. Its all part of the marketing here. Well, definitely not. Apple products have got 'capacitive' touch screen which measures sking heat. Whereas, SE Vivaz (Nokia 5800, SE Satio etc) has got 'resistive' touch which measures amount of pressure applied on the screen. But if you want it to work at its best, I suggest you use the edge/tip of your finger/nails, and in no time, you'll work it out and typing/scrolling on its screen shall work like a breeze.

Well, definitely not. Apple products have got 'capacitive' touch screen which measures sking heat. Whereas, SE Vivaz (Nokia 5800, SE Satio etc) has got 'resistive' touch which measures amount of pressure applied on the screen. But if you want it to work at its best, I suggest you use the edge/tip of your finger/nails, and in no time, you'll work it out and typing/scrolling on its screen shall work like a breeze.

Let me say that the phone is awesome , one of most popular sonyericsson phones . Great camera (2Mb size of landscape photos ) very good speed ( saves 10 minutes camera shooting 720p high quality with size of 600MB !! in less that 3 seconds !) I'm a hard user of phone and i know how to test the power of cellphone.I've been using this phone since 1 year ago and it's CPU (740 MHZ) is greater than X6 nokia (5800 is just a kid ) an example : i've installed "Need for speed Shift Game " on my cell phone and played it easily . X6 nokia installed this game but didn't run , 5800 didn't install at all. other point is the great touch screen that i really love it ! The vivaz is a full option symbian phone that is small , cool and easy to use .

do not buy this phone as there is no support for the symbian installed on this phone...no updates... most of the nokia symbian apps not compatible with this phone... eventhough the design is nice, it is useless phone except camera..sony is making phones with good design but do not provide software support/updates like nokia / samsung... i & my friends planned not to buy in future any sony phones eventhough the design may be good...

So I have this phone for about a year and the battery doesn't hold it charge, the screen has a mind of its own some areas are highly sensitive others you have to press hard...speakerphone sucks. Right now it only works when I keep it plugged in. My other Sony flip phone was better than this...common! Gonna have to find a better company to take my business hopefully I can just exchange the phone and keep my plan

I had vivaz for almost a year. Really disappointed with the performance, they say it's 700mhz but it doesn't work like one. It hangs on data or wifi connections so often, it doesn't have kinetic scrolling which makes it really really hard to work with a touch screen, there is no update, can't play avi, many players which work no nokia ones don't work on this, just a black screen, doesn't have split screen keyboard which doubled with the lack of kinetic scrolling is really annoying, I'm totally disappointed at the money I wasted for this. If you like symbian, getting one of the nokias would be definitely better.

Well, according to my experience, you can avoid putting alot of pressure on the screen if you use the tip of the edge of your fingernails. It works like a breeze. I have avoided using the stylus since I've noticed harsh scratches on the screen protector after every swipe. It was annoying!

one of my worst phones yet. I have had it just over a year and am finding myself becoming increasingly frustrated. Firstly the screen is absolutely shocking, spots appeared on the screen within a few months, sensitivity is shocking with portions of the screen not working while other have become highly sensitive. Phone unlocks in your pocket easily. Has so little on board memory that having any pictures, music, lots of saved messages or applications makes it impossible to accept bluetooth files. Over all the worst phone i have ever had, i would trade it in from my nokia 3210 if the 3210 could have whatsapp

I'd say its very user friendly when you've been using it for quite a while. You'll soon get the hang of it. To make it user friendly, you can change the standby theme style and everything gets done easier by touch, instead of pressing the 3 main buttons. About the touch screen, I gotta say its the most responsive screen you could ever find on a 'resistive' device. To give it more, you feel a slight vibration when you select anything on the screen. But I'd recommend you this phone if you're budget-limited, coz I've had a great experience with this phone.

Well, the newspaper is right since the flash light is situated in different areas on the Vivaz and the Vivaz pro. On the Vivaz U5i, the camera is situated beside the camera lens, whereas on the Vivaz Pro U8i, the camera is situated on top of the camera lens. The major difference between these two phones is that the Vivaz has got a better camera of 8MP and the Vivaz Pro has got a down-sized 5MP camera. For more info, you can search for the Vivaz pro and compare its details with the Vivaz. But yet, I suggest you go for the Vivaz since its much more stability in the long run.

it was either between the galaxy ace and the SE vivaz...i opted the vivaz becoz of its design and HD recording..the vivaz contains the S60 5th edition of Symbian which is the same in N5800 but doesnt support all the softwares that are compatible in the 5800..see?..that made me real mad..the touchscreen is ok but sometimes it drives u crazy..the pictures, music, video are good and the headphones are excellent..its a multimedia phone so in those respects its good..it comes pre installed with the facebook, twitter, roadsync, wisepilot all of which i had to uninstall...the internet specifications mentioned are excelent to make it a great phones but not so in reality, the net is not upto the mark..proximty sensors are missing and importantly the secondary camera... i really wished i went for a secon cam phone..the volume is less but the Se quality is excellent..thats it..

It was great at first with its HD cam (720p) and portable size, but after seeing the Android OS comparing it with the applications that I could get with Android I became so much hater for Vivaz, also its screen is soooo scratchble whilst other mobiles has a bad-ass anti-scratch screens, also on this phone I can't get that much of applications and much of them has compatibility issues and SE's app store sucks soooo bad, don't know why did SE went for Symbian OS which came from Nokia, but on Nokia it is working better much more... yah one more thing is the touch sensitivity which isn't on your finger-heat detection you can control through any pen, key whatever you want, and it doesn't have smart dedection so that's why I'm always got to be careful while writing sms cuz I always get mistakes... The only thing holding me from trashing this phone is its camera.

Vivaz can have resolution of 360*640. So you need to convert your video to that resolution. There is a converter named as "King Converter". thats working well for vivaz. You can watch MP4 WMV with best resolution and clarity.

I was so curios about this product, but after some struggle i get it and now i have.it is a true experience not a word fake. 1). look---------perfect and costly. 2). camera-------in low light not o.k. in normal and high light fine not excellent. 3). screen-------fine but not in sunny day. 4). batt. life---not more than 5 hours on net. with many apps open. with music 2 days. call 8 hours. with normal mix uses 2 and half day. 5).sound quality-low but fine. 6).performance---as u know ram is 256mb but not usable after 136mb free memory camera could not take pictures says- close opened apps? yes i use some apps in background but what about ram which is 136mb free. which i check with x-plore. 7).apps----------some sis,sisx apps only use in nokia phone u can not use them on vivaz or satio. 8).software------only after 3 months software start laging hangs and automatic default some settings and 720p came on 7 frame/sec. to repair it i need to reflash it and after some time same problam came again. 9).conclusion----if u not use much apps and internet it will give u fine experiance but if u a hard core user u will not satisfied. thats all and true

it's a good phone, nice sound, nice quality film HD although i use the programe xmediarecode (it's free btw) to convert the vid that i want but and the memory is really good, i haven't addited anything and i have about 250 songs and 13 episodes + 1 movie on the thing + homework that i just put on it when i didn't have my memorystick with me. the only thing i havent figured out yet is how to read files on the thing, can somebody help me with that? it's got adobe reader and indeed quickoffice on it, but idk how to use, ow and the only downpart of this phone is the battery and having to start it back up again. you'll eventually will be able to do so, but it's a pain in the ass

The Vivaz has software problems. Your units will just freeze/hang one of these days. SonyEricsson knows this and came up with these "update" to remedy the situation but as in my case, a new mother board is needed...and its about the same price as the unit. 15 months use, and P20,500.. gone down the drain.

Sorry to say this I am an SE fan but this phone was a flop due to a very poor os but all is not forgotten if you still like the look of this phone grab the Xperia Neo or Neo V looks like this only heaps more sexier and especially in white (i have a Neo V white, its gorgeous!). I had purchased a Sony Ericsson VIVAZ , model number U5i in May 2010. Not more than a year from its purchase the charger socket became loose and and after few days came back. I studied it on net that many people are getting this issue in their phone and this is basically a design fault. According to warranty policy they should repair this or replace the handset. but instead I went to both the service centres they did not had the spare part and even contacted chennai centre but in vain. They could not help and straigt away said NO. What is this ? What is the use of warranty then? Sony Ericsson should certainly check their services after selling their products !

This phone is all good and doesn't have any issues. I've been using it for over a year and haven't encountered any problem. The only negative thing about this phone is that it doesn't have any app store. Ovi store won't work with it so all the time you've to google the apps you want.

My had my S.E Hazel broken 2 weeks ago.So,I decided to replace with a decent handset in the meantime,& I got the Vivaz.Here's my review about it; Firstly,The U.I is quite good.You do not face resistance while using the touch screen (Although it is resistive touch screen)But ofcourse,it's not comparable to that of the I-Phone or N8 :) Scrolling between photos is greatly impressive.I never suffered any king od lag while scrolling between 'em..neither did I face it in the music player. Ofcourse the S60 is not the best in market,when compared to Android,Symbian ^3 & IOS.But It offers pretty much applications as well as games.If you're familiar with the Nokia xpress music,Vivaz won't be a surprise ! The accelerometer is quite smooth & responds to the slightest tilts (not in a bad way ofcourse). The camera,which is the best part about the phone,snaps very high-quality photos.There is much resolved detail in the photos & the colours are rich & eye-catching.The photos are as good as those taken by the C905 & thereby,is one of the best camera phones in market.The camcorder records videos at 720p & is quite clear,with very little over-sharpening :) One drawback about the camera is,at certain times,when setting the picture size to 8mp,you can suffer of low memory..but it happens at very rare times. Let's come to the audio quality.The vivaz produces a clean audio quality,but the loudness is too low.However,when connected to a sony headset,the audio quality is remarkbly good :) The connectivity is quite good.I never faced any problem with it even when in the elevator! The video player(real player) plays alot of video codecs,including rmvb,mpeg4,etc.but not xVid or DivX ! This problem can be solved by downloading a software that plays these codecs,or by converting them before syncing them to the phone.You can enjoy playing HD videos,& I tried doing that when playing Avatar.The video quality is too clear & smooth ;D In conclusion,The Vivaz is a very decent & good handset.The design is stylish,but one ting to mention is that the black colour stays a fingerprint mess.So I advice you to get the silver colour,which hardly leaves any fingerprints at all.If your're looking for a touch-screen phone with a splendid camera,at a reasonable price,ignoring the loudness of the handset.Then surely vivaz would serve you good :)

Bought this phone less 9 months ago for �235,had nothing but problems with freezing etc.Then a few days ago it went completely dead.Brought it back to my local vodafone shop where I bought it.They sent it for repair and then told me today It was broken and that I must have dropped it(which I absolutely didn't)and that I won't be covered under my waranty.It obviously had problems with the internal components and now I have to take the loss.Absolute Joke,I will never buy a sony ericsson phone again.Sorry for the rant but I'm still so angry!:-(

Great phone, really superior- I have been a fan/user of Ericsson/Sony Ericsson cell phones since 1997. My wife has been using the other "popular cell phone brand" Manage to convince her to switch to SE. She did !!!. Will never go back to the "overrated cellphone". You just can't beat SE. The Vivaz touchscreen is a genuine piece of engineering equipment.

Is a great phone, deserve all the money, is not expensive, and it have a lot of benefits. Sincerely I bought a vivaz in may , this year, and I love it, the camera is great, you can record hd. Soon to be launched "Live with Walkman" with Android 2.3 has almost the same hardware as Vivaz except for capacitive touch screen. I have a suggestion - why not make available software of "Live with Walkman" as an added option to Vivaz users through SE's offical website i.e. its update service. I can assure you, even Vivaz will start selling like hotcakes. Think over it. Why not give option to users whether they want to use Symbian or Android OS.

RUBBBBIIIDSSSSSSSHHH meaning A COMPLETE AND UTTERLY RUBBISH PHONE! Dont buy it, too much hassle. Has a mind of it's own. Got it as a gift from friends so couldn't even complain. Plus it was a surprise gift so i couldn't even tell them i disliked touchscreen phones to begin with though never had one previously, this one has confirmed that dislike into hate with passion lol. Only two days ago the youtube videos were working via wi-fi web browser. And have done the whole time. Now suddenly it decided to no longer. I checked the settings and done everything possible within my knowledge etc... and tried to research the net on how to get it working again but to avail it will and does not for the last two days. This is on mobile version. However when i put it on desktop version it does, though ever so slightly slower. But still a utterly rubbish phone! Save your money for something that actually works!

It hangs, it crashes, responses are slow, handling is sometimes inconvenient, certain display arrangements are not informative at all, and S-E doesn't even come up with a firmware upgrade, they seem not interested to give client service.

Yes, after some months, this phone will give touch problems, in ur pocket it get rubbed ... and hence it give problems in touch ... also its a resistive touchscreen, go for captative screen !! :)

This phone is quite good actually, I'm not a heavy user but there are days where I can be gettin more than 20 calls and the battery does an excellent job. the touchscreen is very responsive and the camera is amazing. The only thing that disappoints me is that I can't select a profile on which I can do call filtering which I could with the SE W810. It comes with a leather pouch...dats nice. The shape of the phone is very helpful in holding it. Internet browsing is very fast and easy to use. Interchangeable home screens let you have a very good control on your preferred shortcuts. Its been a year already and its running as a brand new one. I definitely would recommend this phone, especially now that is price gone down.

well, about me, i'm using vivaz for 5 months. now you can download many hd games like: -sims 3 -Need For Speed Shift -Uno -Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 -Ferrari GT hd -etc but you have to sign it first, butits just a spectacular hd games also you have to try kokoro 0.4. it's a software that will make your phone smoother just seacrh it on google and enjoy ^^

Before buying vivaz , i had read many opinions about it. many people were satisfied but many were so regretful about buying vivaz. i dont know what's wrong with it but i have one now. i've been using it since may2011 and it's working as well. The 720 Mhz CPU (i've installed NFS shift on my vivaz . it works but it didn't work on Nokia X6 !!!) , camera is amazing, networks, anything on this phone is great.. its display resolution and quality and touch sensitivity and ..... .but honestly the speakers are really weak buy headphone quality is matchless stuff! stylish and cool by any aspect. If you dont have much money and dont care speaker sound , i offer you buy it right now! I'm a hardworking user of cellphone. once i used GPS , wifi , bluetooth , GPRS while listening music and taking a photo to test the phone... , no problem and high speed... I love it , it loves me too !! :-) I hope this could be helped

i know that this phone is a bit old, but this is my short review: 1. OS/user interface: the Symbian OS is reli outdated, with less customizations. Less games and apps. If u like to play games, please go for Android instead. 2/10 2. Design: design is quite nice, sexy and slim, though not comparable to new phones like Samsung Galaxy S II and SE Arc. It's slim enough so it can be slipped into any pockets. 8/10 3. Telephony: the call quality is OK, sometimes i felt the sound for the other party is quite low and muffled, but most of the time is OK. the speaker volume is disappointing, whether ringtone or playing music. 5/10 4. Multimedia: the audio quality is OK, the only concern is its somewhat lack of bass if compared to other walkman phones. Downloaded the equalizer app from PlayNow and it improved a bit, recommended to use a new pair of earphone to improve the quality. Video playback is quite nice, with support up to 720p videos, but note that not every 720p can be played. 6/10 5. Camera: this is where Vivaz perform greatly. Its camera is one of the nicest in a phone. The HD video recording capability is even better, with continuous autofocus. The quality of Vivaz camera is comparable to a digicam (sometimes even better). if it is equipped with xenon flash u dun even need to waste money for a digicam. bear in mind that Vivaz is a lot slimmer than most of the digicam in the market. 9.5/10 Conclusion: Vivaz is a good buy if u wan a phone who great camera, if u wan games and apps please go for Android.

the audio quality is not great, but its better than a lot of android smartphones, u can download the equalizer application from PlayNow, its free, then u wil hav megabass as 1 of the preset equalizer. u can use another pair of earphone, to improve the quality.

The Vivaz is not a good phone, I advise you not to purchase it. It goes in and out of functions, the camera is not easy to use, the touch screen sticks constantly, it loses time (five minutes over a 24-hour period), sending e-mails is difficult because you have to change over from al[pha to numeric and in the process the phone often goes into all sorts of other unwanted applications, the touch keys often fail to respond.The Vivaz looks good but it is unreliable and unpleasant to use. Don't buy it.

It's funny how some people are blaming the Vivaz for bad behaviour when they did not even bother reading the manual or reviews. There are some that want Galaxy or N8 features on much lower priced Vivaz !!! Just learn to work with what you afforded to buy ! I will say that I managed to make better outdoor pictures than Nokia N8 (only xenon flash is a clear plus), the colors seem to be much natural. Not to mention that Vivaz has a superb panorama stitch shot which N8 has not, better photo menu layout.

I had this phone for 1 year now, its alright, i had my hopes high though. Pros: - Slim - Camera is good Cons: - Ringtone too softed (missed over 50 calls because of that) - The volume is really bad, turning it to the max made the speakers so so dead and squeaky - NO GAMES? well there is, but there isnt a proper website for it _ not much themes - Its very hard to figure out how to change the settings because the manual didnt have much instuction - I can't put a password to it ( like when locking and unlocking the phone) - Battery life is like omg... I have to charge it daily if i used it to listen to music for 2 hours - Sometimes when its out of battery and you charge it, and try to turn it back on, like it would take years for it to turn on, you just have to spam the on button - There isnt like a 'slide to unlock' - there isnt EBUDDY? REALLY? no ebuddy? - You can't do a two way call - It doesnt lock itself when talking on the phone (that means that you are likely to end the call without noticing) - You can't add a call picture to like separate people ( i added my bf's picture on his- ended up on everyone elses one, and i always had my hopes high thinking it was him calling) - this list can go on forever!

Plus the funcionalitys of it awsome, it identifies the sound track you currently listening with trackid. OS symple and easy to browse, radio included. One of the most complete phones out there. Dont know why some here are laying hate. The Vivaz is a great phone, remember you MUST update the o/s as soon as you want to start using it, this is very important. First thing is to obviously insert the battery and sim (the micro mem card should already be factory installed) , then charge the phone, once done load the factory pre apps from the memory card, then go to the Sony website and UPDATE THE FIRMWARE!! Im finding most people that have trouble are still on old..really old firmware. The new stuff will solve your problem. Alongside that remember theres Conversations ..say it via chat-style text messaging, one of my fav things, makes sms so easy. These phone are still selling HUGE amount throughout the world. Hope this helps. Thank you for reading.

This phone is a real dissapointment as it cost me a decent amount of money and is a rather poor phone in general, apart from the camera and video which is not that gr8 either. What is also pathetic is Sony Ericsson's lack of support for this phone and actually most of their phones released over the past 2 years, the vivaz received a few minor software updates which were good for nothing and fix nothing really at all. This phone is slow, touchscreen is poor, I've used and owned other resistive ts phones and this one is by far the worst and most frustrating, the amount of apps for this phone is extremely limited and alot of the cooler apps available for other symbian phones are not available for this one as it cant install qt mobility which is necessary for some of the better apps. Really dissapointed with this phone and with Sony Ericsson, dont think i'll buy a SE phone again!

Bought my phone in April. If I have used it for 1 week I am lucky. Had it for two days - would not start. Problems with the screen, battery, start up, and needed a software update before I could even use it.. Eventually got it back on monday - have had to charge the phone 3 times in one week. You probably didn't use the camera up close & personal for a long time to say (no offense) but i use vivaz & i can tell you other than the contrast issue & the weak flash it's a superb camera really. I'm using it for 8 months now & the only downside i can find is the weak flash if only it was xenon+led like the samsung pixon 12 or at least dual led flash Go easy on the vivaz it's a good phone i know it's not great or super but it's a device you'd be proud to own though it's not the top of it's class

i have it for 8 months now & i can tell what i don't like about it 1-for me i believe it's kinda small screen 2-the battery isn't bad but it could've been better 3-low volume either in the earphones or in the loudspeaker but you can avoid by using "powermp3" application which is for symbiam os only & buy another earphones cuz the one with the mobile's crappy 4-weak led flash for camera but not terrible though. Other than these things it's light weighted,incredibly sexy looking.has continious auto-focus which's to me kinda annoying but that's just me & it's own user interface If i'm thinking of changing it will be for small screen & average audio & finally the stupid symbian os but i used nokia my whole life that's why i'm weak when it comes to os. If you're not bound by the symbian there are plenty of sony ericssons out there like xperia neo or experia arc and 10 Hope i helped

i'm changing it only for it's small screen low music & moderate battery though it breaks my heart leaving sexy looking vivaz with it's continious autofocus & LEDs i'm switching to i8910 OHD for the screen & audio though the i8910 doesn't even come near the sexy looks of my vivaz but that's it

yes it does it's in the box when buying but i'd advise you not to use stylus cuz after a while the screen will be full of slashes

Poor phone is the only way to describe this handset. Camera is not very good and can be difficult to use at times. Had mine 6months now and the speaker is already going. When scrolling through the phone it jumps and is very slow. All in all Very dissapointed cant wait to get rid

on may 30 my vivaz phone will turn 1 yr old and still loving it.. still in great condition.. though it has no yahoo messenger and limited games but i can still say its awesome phone

Don't buy this phone unless you want to use the camera very much. It's getting laggy after week by week or day by day eventough my memory is not to full. I think it's because symbian OS that sucks because like my nokia i used, it has same problem.

phone freezes from time to and when being used on the net, handset has to be refreshed or switched off just in order for the touch screen to function properly. customer is a loyal Vodacom client and has this problem. has the problem for the past year or more.

My phone was dead few days ago. I didn't know how to hard reset manually so just flashed it by updating new firmware n it works. You guys can have Nokia apps/games from Ovi Store(google it). Although it sometimes shows unexpected behaviour(eg.backlight,battery) I still love my phone. the sound quality is okay

Totally disappointed as an SE fan... The brand is SonyEricsson but inside is a Nokia software... Poor files and applications organization. Bluetooth files were received through the SMS inbox, while the orig SE software file multimedia files are delivery to their respected folder. NO MEGABASS for music Camera is good but no automatic flash. Light should be manual turned on when taking pictures on poor lighting... I should have read all the comments before i buy. damn!

Hey i've downloaded the power MP3 player for symbian s60 5th edition and had it installed in my phone.. but the only problem is now when i go to Options --> Update Music then it let me choose my folder on which i can select my songs. Then after i selected my folder containing my songs, it automatically shuts down my application. Can anyone please HELP ME?

Yes, it's true, loudspeaker is kinda weak, specially for playing music outdoors, for example, though it's strong enough to play the ringtones, so you will have no problem getting your calls. Putting this aside, this is the best smart phone you can get for the price, it has cool features, all the apps you may need, good signal an it has amazing looks. I recommend it.

yes the speakers are really bad..n the volume is pathetically low.. You can hear it ringing only if you have it quite nearby.. Music is okay in earphones..
