I replaced the battery when my phone just did not charge anymore and fell out all the time. Piece of cake, unscrew the back and replace battery with a spare. Performance is again as original, i.e. battery lasts one day ....

What? Why should I blame my self when the battery fails two months after warranty? Only solution is repair/replace by your self. Even my many years old ZTE and Huawei phones are still working like charm. Sony has worse batteries than cheap Chinese brands.

After exactly 2 years and two months (2 months after warranty in my country) I'm having the same issue with battery as MarkinIreland. Battery is drained fast and after ~ 55% goes to zero % in minutes (even when I plug charged in). It was good but it changed one time to this. But still I'm not interested in new phone so I just bought new battery for ~ 20 USD.

Used this phone for 1,5 years, and I hate it. Freezes often, frequently doesn't react when I turn it on, and is very slow. Camera so slow I avoid using it. And if I use it, photos usually not very good. (and catching the frame two seconds after I needed it to shoot). Battery lasts a day if not much used. Worst Xperia I've had. Switching to other brand after following this one for the last few versions.

Comparison has non sense. options depends on the frequencies supported. My country runs on 2g and 3g over 850-1900 4g: Bands 4 and 28. Almost none chinese manufacturer support those bands. I don't know what you want, coz in the screen settings you can set from 100 until 0%. If your smartphone shite still too bright change smartphone, don't you it at night and ect. It's no solution how you and said. For me too bright sometimes is screen, but I just marked automatic adaptability in settings and if my eyes is still sensitive, i'm trying to use less how much possible at this time. It's no any others settings to do brightness until black screen.

Oh, and also, I still use Trend Plus to take pictures. On e4g, photos are like children doing pointillism and then smear the paint. It's surrealistic. Shapes and smears. Otherwise, it's good for calls (good speaker and mic) and sms (only if you install some other keyboard, because with xperia keyboard you can't hit the letter you want)

I have Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus, and it holds battery much longer than 24 hours, with same usage. By the way, I got lost using Google Maps on Xperia E4G, because it's so slow when finding your position, it shows that I'm 100m from where I actually am, everytime I touch and move map it searches for GPS... On Samsung I can see the arrow move while I walk.

This phone can work less than 24 hours, with Stamina mode on. With Ultra stamina it can work several days, but in that case I would rather buy some plain phone for $20 or $30, beacuse this mode alows only calls and messages.

Open your cover, between the sim and mem card there should be a hole written on it's side Off. You need to insert (push) a needle-like object like a pencil lead and dhen try to turn it on again. See if it works...

Advice was for user which is important to get new update. I have C5 Ultra with Lollipop and I have E4G so I can say u are right, most changes are just look, no new features I did not found. But I bought C5 Ultra for one of most reasons - phone memory. I have little more that 9GB free memory for my apps and ect., in the E4G is just more than 4GB, camera in the E4G is only 5MP, in the C5 Ultra both 13MP, C5 ultra will get Marshmallow, E4G will not get any update - my opinion. Indeed it would be better if it had 16GB of internal storage, but we can't be too picky here, don't forget the price here, because everything is proportional to it here (i got mine at 110euros by the way). Although there are many devices that can be found at the very same price, but are hard to find at the right time (you need to search on ebay, amazon ect many times to be lucky to find a good price). For the sake of prices here i just found the other day that 'lenovo k3 note' is over 90 $ on aliexpress which is a hi-specs phone. But i have questionable beliefs about it's longevity as a phone. Now back to the E4G, it's true only some apps can be moved to the sdcard and i do not bother to root it (not interested), although if you want to root it just google and you'll find many tutorials. As for the camera i really can't complain (remember price again). If i wanted a better camera i would have spent some more money and have bought a better phone. And lastly, i would say that comparing this phone with what's in the market now for it's price would be totally pointless, because a year has passed, and we all know how much technology changes in that short amount of time, thus be given to us in a more comfortable price.(see lenovo above, it's price was 140$ on special sale and with a normal price of 200$, but now it costs only 90$) (although i do have my concerns about the sudden drop, maybe it has to do with it's quality or something) Ps: Yeah, a marshmallow update would be cool. I using combination lock screen, before I unlocked it on Xperia Companion was message that is update software, when I unlocked messages gone and Xperia Companion showing that my system is up to date. So I have newest update. After about month I got Lollipop 5.1. But that Xperia C5 Ultra will get Lollipop 5.1 is official information, about E4G is not any information official. So it can be just system bug or something like that. E4G will not I think any update or will get Lollipop, but in the period of update end.... I don't know quality of these Sony headphone like Sony SBH80 Stereo Bluetooth, but I think they are great, coz most or maybe all wireless Sony headphones sounds amazing from class like these one are. Also u can try some others headphones like Sony Stereo Bluetooth® Headset SBH54. I also can't comment about quality of these wireless headphones, but I think these headphone sound too great, how I said most or all Sony's wireless headphones sounds amazing. I have old Sony Ericsson MW6OO wireless headphone, they I bought some years ago, they sounded very good, amazing bass line and sound was so loud and clear, I don't heard near me what people talking. So I could listen music in city without any noise near me. But in this headphone broken some details which catching headphone on my clothes so I can't fasten it in my clothes now so I can't catch it now with me coz i'm afraid to lost it in city. They sound good at these time too, but little badly neither new was (or maybe just for me looks like that), also it's old and I want new headphones too. I saw in my country's IT shops these headphone - Sony Bluetooth AS600BT headphone, they are wireless too, agent from Sony said they sound very good, but they are too big for me, also they supported fro people which sporting. Also I saw these headphone - Sony AS800BT, but in my town one shop these headphone had price much bigger that in other, but in other shop in my town wasn't these headphone on sale. Now these headphones are not on sale. Both they sounds amazing by Sony's agents and both of then are supported for sporting people. So I decided to wait and maybe later to buy others, maybe will be on sale. Sony if u talking about headphones like these, my opinion try some from Sony, look at yours country's or town shops what is on sale and try it. All products u can find in www.sonymobile.com. If u "earphones" mean like speakerphone, then u must bring your smartphone to shop where u bought it or try to bring to repair shop. How I understood u rooted it (how?) coz transfer data files into sd card impossible. U can transfer only some apps. So it's problem this phone and is - memory, like and others smartphone which have less than 16 GB inside. Camera of this phone comparing with C5 Ultra which I have today is worse, but Xperia E4G have only 5 mp camera so it's not high end camera. All others in E4G I like too. By the way about update - Lollipop C5 Ultra already have, will have and marshmallow, for me update it's not so important, but u know marsmallow will give many important things, features like doze, which saving ours mobile battery's life, also camera new interface with I think and hope more settings and ect. So sometimes new update is cool. Sad that Sony forgot, I think, coz it's not information after 1 years already) E4G with update, but maybe will come one :)

Great phone for it's price. Have been using it for about 6 months and i'm really satisfyed whit it. It's really fast despite the fact for being a budget phone. I've seen here many complaits for lack of updates (for lolipop or marshmallow) and to tell the truth i don't really care, every program or game i've installed works fine, and it never lags. And for those who are complaining for malfunctios, try to keep the internal memory over 25% free otherwise the phone will start acting up (as for data, buy a 16gb mem card so you can transfer apps, and you'll do fine), clear the cached data under the storage option on settings (no need for cleaning app), and avoid multiple active programs. Again it's a really nice phone for it's price, and i personally don't think an android update will make things better, if there will be an update or not time will tell, and as for now all i can say is... VIVA 4.4.4 :D

Yes camera is just 5MP, 1,5 MHz and ect. But it's still good phone. Lagging? All mobile lagging if u always using it and don't removing cache files, u need just remove memory and that's all. Smartphone it's like computer if u using all memory ram or eternal u need clean it. E4G it's one of the best by his price. So if u have bad experience with this phone it's not mean that phone is bad. I owe that phone for 8 months and I can tell you that I have not such a good experience.From day one it stacked and I couldn't do anything at all so I returned it to the shop and they gave me a new one. Since then I've sent it to service twice in 4 months.The characteristics seemed to me good in a quick look but they are not so good as I wondered. I love my E4g, I had same problem at first, you could have easily corrected this in a few simple steps. Firstly move as many apps as you can to the Sd card. Secondly you need to go storage, click on apps you dont want or use and uninstall, and apps you cant delete you need to disable. I found this fixed my handset and have had no problems since. Yes when the memory is full the phone still slows but all handsets tend to do the same. A good tip also is! As you have or had an android phone you will have Google photos app, change the settings to upload all your photos and videos and set to automatically delete originals from phone storage. You can download them again but you wont need to as you will be able to se them in the album still.

Anyways with or without lolipop the phone is awsome it plays many games smoothly as possible but not a good battery life and also it getsworsen if you charge it over night and if you charge before it comes to 15 % and the ar effects an exclusive app for the sony phones does not matches with this due to the case of not properly projecting the character but lets make it a excuse because its a low budget phone and theres a small mistake on the review the chipset is actually not mt6732 but mt6752

I bought C5 Ultra Dual, for others reasons, but I know now, that I will get Lollipop 5.1 (coz I have now Lollipop 5.0) and marshmallow too. About E4G I read that M4 Aqua if i'm not wrong will skip Lollipop and will get Marshmallow, I think can be with E4G the same. Also don't forget most new (2015) models of Sony waiting a lot of time for new update. be patient or buy new phone like did I, but how I wrote I bought C5 Ultra Dual for other reasons, update is not that reason :)

The phone is very nyc. Display is too good from other phones but its too bright n we cn not reduced its brightness as low as we cn used on other companies phones. The biggest problem in this phone is camera clarity, which is worst as I ever seen, specially on low light. I hate this phone for its camera clarity.

I searched on YouTube gaming was fabulous.I saw games like gta san Andreas so I bought it buy I don't know it was Sony.mobile system is taking about 3.3 gb.I thought I will move games and apps to sd card but except 3-4 games no more games and apps moves to sd card.I can't install gta sa, asphalt 8 etc.it's processor, ram is able to run high end games but there is no memory to even install those games.so why waste money on processor and other technology of this phone. next about camera it takes maximum upto 500 kb only at daylight.its front camera automatically changes our photo and makes it fully blur.so no selfie at all could be think from this phone.Sony apps like backup and restore, Dive, hangouts, line, liv sports, live on YouTube, lounge, photos, play games, play book, play movies, play newsstand, sketch, sony select, support, what's New etc are useless which can't be uninstalled so very useless phone. camera quality at night in traffic is more clear on my Nokia c201 then e4g. all those have e4g phone just go at night out side and see camera quality it becomes useless. now I have sold this useless phone and bought moto x play which Is actually a smartphone..... internal memory 32 gb so I can play gta sa. waterproof, android lollipop and planned upgradable to marshmallow.in daylight it clicks photos from 5to6 mb usually.no useless apps on moto.

Live with walkman was a midranger.E4/4g are entry level handsets. So Sony doesn't suppot entry level handsets .more specifically this is a mediatek device. I have never seen any manufacture updating mediatek devices except Android one devices.

live with walkman wasn't an entry level phone.it was a midranger. midrangers will definetly receive atleast one update by sony. sony m4 aqua which is the midranger by sony in 2015 will get marshmallow next year may or june. could be even later. if you really want to clarify contact sony support. i even asked sony through chat they said no update. i posted on talk.sonymobile.com requesting to get an update. since even entry level phones by samsung have lollipop. sony removed my thread and request within one day. so really disappointed myself as well. plus there is no way of making a custom rom for this device since the recovery partition is too small can't flash the rom.

Sony won't wait for 18 months to give an update. They announced E1 in January 2014. Released it in may. Updated the phone to kitkat in August. I had the E1. I regret buying E4 as it is stuck in kitkat. But I have to say it is an excellent device. So sorry bro no update.

Sony will probably release the Xperia E5 or E6 within the next 3 months so it is highly unlikely that we will get the update. Sony has only updated one entry level device before.only the E1 was updated to kitkat. So no lollipop or marshmallow update. Pretty sure about it. When I contact Sony they say they have no plans of updating either e4/4g. Really sorry about it. No update forever unless we make a lollipop custom rom for yourself.

Don't be so pessimist. Be patience and we will know get Lollipop/Marshmallow or no E4G. I believe that Sony will update E4G into Lollipop. Marshmallow maybe will not get, but Lollipop really must get. I have the e4 not the 4g model FIFA 16 worked fine but slightly laggy. But definitely playable. It works on Android kitkat. You have to sideload the apk and data.

2 days is tested by factory settings, I mean Sony tested when most apps are turn off, so in the real life battery most of users which using a lot of wifi, gps and ect battery charging most time everyday. I want to say thatit's normal that u using internet and battery draining fst. What's point is turn off wif when u don't using internet? Coz u can safe yr battery life.

U can use for about 4.5 GB so it's mean about 2-3 games in te same time, if game is biggest than 3GB - just one game. Most popular games u can install. But not in the same time. More users rooting mobile, maybe this help and for u, but i'm not recommend coz u lose yr warrenty after root

Not happy with the Sony Xperia e4g. It was great at first, and as per the reviews the battery lasted about 2 days with normal use (wifi, mobile data, mostly standby, but some voice calls, some sms, some whatsapps), but after 3 months battery suddenly started draining in a couple of hours. Was repaired under warranty and new battery supplied in mid August 2015, but now by early December 2015 it has started happening again. Forums say disable wifi and mobile data, but what's the point of having a smartphone if you can only use it to receive voice calls and sms

No its not software problem. Just on ur sync. And don't restart ur phone on safemode. Try reinstall fb app bcoz that factory version is not fair. Try my same method as I wrote on past comments. If not comment here I will be back soon.

Take backup of ur msgs and go to settings click Apps then click on All then click on message and just clear data of ur message app. Then open ur message app and tick on delivery report settings of that app. If problem repeat again then pls contact ur service provider.

Take off the backcover. Between the simcard and micro-sd-slot there is an "OFF"-lettering and a hole with a micro-switch in it. Press the switch, using a needle, paperclip or something likely. Then the phone turns off and you can start again. kind regards

To watch 720p youtube videos on e4g or any phone with low display res 1. download BS player from play store 2. open BS player...select the LAN mode in the top bar...click on the 3 vertical dots (options) in the top right corner->then preferences->then scroll down to bottom and select network/streaming-> then select preferred youtube quality-> then select 720p or 1080p whichever you prefer 3. in your youtube app copy the url of the video you wish to watch...that's it the BS player automatically copyies the url 4. now open BS PLAYER...click on plus sign in the top right corner...u will see your copied url will already be there...just press ok and the video will start playing in 720p or 1080p depending on what quality u selected

By the way in need a lot of memory so why I don't use it now and choose Google Maps which actually working good too. 5MP of camera is 2560 x 1920 look here But much important is not how many pixels have camera (it's not so important how u think). Important result of pic. Sony E4G doing great phone like budget phone. Nokia in the paper resolution is a little bit bigger, but is not mean better :)

And Sony E4G is right supported just 32GB card I mean is biggest which u can use it's 32GB card memory. But u know for music, video and pics is big card, i'm using from14GB which letting for user to use only half or less memory. In the memory card I have about 100 pics which I did and videos HD quality, music one mix (not song but almost 45 min mix of music which I like) and about 5 or 6 movies about 1GB each memory so it's enough for me and 16 GB card if Sony will do transfer of data files to memory card then I maybe will buy and 32GB card memory :)

Problem with transfer files into SD card is from Jelly Bean if I remembering right, so I don't think that Sony will fix that, but I think it's silly things, I mean it's important to us, so if Sony fixed moving apps to memory card they can do the same and with data files, coz apps memory using about 200mb like facebook, but all data files like FIFA 15 using memory about 2GB, so to users important much more data file to transfer to memory card neither apps :) Sony saying that that's Google fault, Google did that, but Samsung letting to transfer data files to memory card without any problems (I mean GT N5100 Samsung Tablet), so I think it's just stupid Sony's excuses :) Everything is possible if u just try or want to do :)

My advices: go to shop where u bought phone it's first advice, second - try connect with Sony Support center which will say u more what to do or just try to restart/restore factory settings in the phone settings or with PC Companion apps :) I hope will help that ;)

You cant 64gb.You can only 32gb no more.Plus you cant move games (all gb example if game is 1.64 gb you can move only small mb of that game not completely). This will be fixed with new os i think. For now you can move only your music files,pictures,videos etc to your sd card. Greetings Sony e4g

I have a e4g but the battery does not last for even half of the day even when i am not using it, i took the phone via mtn and i took it to them and they said its appplications and the have restricted them but still not helping. i think the built in battery is the problem, what will you do then if the battery is faulty.

I've had this phone for about 5 months and it is unbelievably slow. Dialling a number takes about 10 seconds. Responding to a text? Another 10 seconds. Much better off with my old Nokia from 10 years ago. I've done everything to speed it up: cleared cache, uninstalled everything I could, but it's no use. Moto G is FAR better.

E4G Battery is one of positive things, don't forget 4G, wifi, Bluetooth and ect, plus gaming, internet and ect draining battery very, very, very fast so don't write that battery is sucks if u playing all day or using metioned function - by the way gps also draining battery very fast :) Also don't forget most of popular HD games like Gameloft - asphalt 8, EA Fifa 15 and ect request internet connection, so if u want to play be sure u need charge battery very often :) By the way again - use Stamina it helps when u don't using E4G if no, try Stamina 2 it's really helps - i'm sure ;)

e4g will get lollipop.please everyone read "e4g white paper"-download it from sony official support site.under description of accessibility functions-its written android lollipop feature.now white papers describe all features of a phone by the manufacturer -so if sony wrote "android lollipop feature "-they intend to provide lollipop update and they are working on it.

I have this phone - and it works great. The quad core processor is really fast, and the camera is pretty good. There is also some pretty nice sony apps, like the walkman player. The best part I like about this phone, is that it has 4G. This also happens to be the worst part of the phone. To people who are going to buy this phone, be warned as great as it is (in terms of its price for 4G/ LTE device) - the battery sucks!, and takes a really long time to charge. This is the only downside or negative aspect about this device.

I don't know, where you take your hope from, regarding Android 6. Your quoted Post from sonyblog (http://blogs.sonymobile.com/2015/10/06/sony-xpe­ria-and-android-6-0-marshmallow/) doesn't say anything about updates for other phones, than the mentioned ones. Beside: it will take months to provide the Android 6 update to high-end and middle-class xperias first. By then, probably next spring, Sony will reveil the next Generation of the e-series (E5) with Android 6 and some minor hardware improvements. So why should they care about the E4/E4g? Did they do so with E3 or the first E?

guys i have done many test and i saw that the CPU of this phone is not Mediatek 6732, but 6752( more powerful and new)!!! that is for me a big surprise . And about lollipop it will be definitely because same specs are on xperia C4 that has lollipop and will get marshmallow too, as the developers said . But now sony wants to introduce marshmallow on their line and after this they will update this and other phones to lollipop

yes latest is a.31 bro!and I updated directly!but I followed certain precautions-I DID A FACTORY RESET BEFORE AND AFTER THE UPDATE.U SEE some applications which u downloaded from playstore may cause interference in updation.so I simply backed up my data to SD card-removed it-did a factory reset-updated by directly downloading to phone-again after update factory resetted to remove old firmware cache files-voila!MY PHONE IS RUNNING SO SO SO BUTTERY SMOOTH!PS-I DONT HAVE A PC-SO I USED THIS WAY TO UPDATE MY PHONE IN A RIGHT WAY!

I have this phone from April and from these time until now I don't have and I didn't had any problem with touch. With touch is problem than phone a little bit lagging if u used all memory or ram, coz like on computer u must clean always temp files and all garbage, that;s why can be problem wich lag and touch. U must understand that is not device problem is problem of user which using all memory or not deleteding ram or garbages (garbages is after used of internet, games and ect., I hope u understood me)

U always can check which version of firmware u got and have by these steps in the phone: 1. Settings 2. About phone 3. Build number At these time must be number (build number) 25.0.A.2.31, of course always to check whick latest firmware or software is, u can chect at Sony official page also I recommend u to check it's unofficial Xperia Blog, but guys of this page always trying to write about all xperia devices latest news, Sony's news about update or apps and ect. So u can always to read about Xperia E4G (in the right list of device choose E4), of course don't forget to read and Sony's official blog where u can read official news, of course u here will not find about firmware update, but u can find about software update official information :) I hope I helped u :)

everyone update a.31 firmware.1-it resolves multitouch issue.2-it improves performance. antutu score increased by 456 poins as compared to last firmware.3-e4g didn't heat much..and the new update reduces heating even more while playing games so you can play for hours.4-it gives option to uninstall pre-installed sony apps which we couldn't uninstall. 5-it gives smart language selection in keyboard.6-camera slightly improved.

I don't have problems,even I notice that is little faster too.Remember, when you read somewhere that Sony release new update always install through computer via Sony software. I purchased one last week and for this price tag this is an excellent Sony phone but it hanged last night and I had to restart it. The problem emanated from Opera mini app, I uninstalled the app and since then it is working fine. Most probably one of your apps is causing the hanging issue. Yhea I agree with u, coz all budget phone getting newest operating system, but they'll never getting latest operating system :) So, guys, Xperia E4G will get Lollipop, just Sony again waiting for 18 month period and will update I guest about 6-12 month after released of this smartphone :) Look in the plans of oldest budget smartphone, all the time Sony updaiting budget phones into new but not newest operating system :) Flagmans always getting newest and new operating system, that's why i'm not surprised that Z series smartphones from Z3 will get Marshmallow and in the lista re just Z class and some newest models of 2015 which is high price too and is like flagman or flagman but not from Z class :)

Yes that can be after game that ur battery will drain very fast. It's not defect of smartphone or bettery, all smartphones battery will drain very fast after used of wifi, internet (even afte4 3g or 4g), also after games play. Second how I talk with expert or read many post about battery charge, better is charge between 15-90 percent, coz battery quality is not using so much like u charge from 0 until 100 and ect. U understand that i'm saying ? :)

I totally agree with u. I had LG, Samsung, Nokia phones many year ago, but all my last phones (including smartphones) are from Sony (or Sony Ericsson), so I founded Sony many years ago and i'm very glad that I choose this manufacturer, at this time i buying just Sony smartphones, I recommended for friends or others just to buy Sony smartphones or products too (I talking about tv which I buying only from Sony, it good quality, but now I can't connecting between mobile ant tv without any problems too). For me Sony is best manufacturer of smartphones, TV's and ect. Yhea sometimes Sony after update did some mistakes, it happens, but Sony havn't problem with glow, also Sony have the best camera, like u wrote it's smooth and ect. So quality of Sony really is one of the best. What I can't say about others manufacturers :) That's why my opinion about Sony is very good. I had many phones (including mobile) so I know what i'm saying :)

I have this phone from April, when it released and I havn't any touch issues, I think u alobe have this issues, maybe u occupied allphone memory, coz this phone have memory about 5gb for users, one good game like FIFA 15 or FIFA 16 already is about 1.5gb, I guest u like playing more than one game, others games occupied phone memory also about 1.5-2.5 gb so reason is full phone memory - this is my just think, coz memory is very important if u occupied all memory devices yr device becaming very slow and lagging, but is not device problem, u like and on comouter can't use all device memory :)

Cos that's budget smartphone, it's not flagman, everything is cutted here (I talking about features), but all games u can play (I played Fifa 15, Real racing 3, Need For Speed No Limits, also Simpsons, Mortal Kombat X, Sims Free Play, Asphalt 8, Modern Combat 5 and many more, all games work without any lag ;) Camera is 5mp., but really surprised me that is good, yhea it's not flagman smartphone, but camera capturing really good, first my budget smartphone from Sony with 5mp capturing photo so good, also battery keeping good, off course if u always on wifi or internet (4g) u must charge often, but I had some phone from Sony before so this smartphone battery really good. Also here is Stamina and Ultra Stamina, so if u need more that some hours (if u always on internet even wifi), days u can used Stamina and I think will help u. 0ne Sony's budget smartphones problems is memory, why Sony don't llet transfer data files into memry card (all games data files is keeping in phone memory, like and others models), but memory for user is just about 5gb. But all others things is very good for bidget smartphone :)

Guys yesterday i read on xperia official site that sony m2 starts android 5.1... What this mean? The sony m2 is last device with this update (z series are first of course).About this device sony e4g for sure 100 prosent will be with 5.1 (but not for now,is too early must be 1 year old phone,so that update will be after March).. Do not install the latest update 25.0.a.2.31, touch sense is terrible, xperia ui always gives error, power button and volume rockers not working smooth, you can not use camera flash, so go for other brands 30k antutu score is only on paper

For all of you getting low score on benchmark turn off all battery saving modes (STAMINA). Then run test again and it should get about 33000 on Antutu benchmark.

Hi together, I've found an interesting info regarding the Android update: according to the italian android.hdblog.it, an update roadmap says, that Xperia E4 (also E4g?) will skip Android 5, but will receive Android 6 (Marshmallow). It doesn't say when, but there may be hope.

First, I hate samsung and all that overrated companies... Second, it CAN play 4K video, but you really wont notice the difference between that and 480p or HD video, because it is 480p display... It is not HD display because it doesnt have 1280*720 resolution and that is HD or 720p display... It can play the finnest video qualities but it doesnt matter on this display... First learn something about technologies and phones, than you can judge

had this phone for about a month now. A few points: THE BAD -You will need to also buy a screen protector because this screen could easily break. - Sony pre-loads the phone with a lot of crap so that it constantly asks you to update it and that's annoying. - Battery life is not great (2 days tops with lots of surfing, maybe 4 with minimal). -The camera sucks a bit. It works great in high light situations (but so did cameras back in 1850...) but it sucks is just about everything else (can't focus despite having a focus point feature, the flash is too weak, the light reader doesn't understand the correct light level on the object in focus, etc.) THE GOOD - The phone works and it's not too big or too small - The phone was $60 with a one year plan (for me) - The phone was a cheap option for a decent smart phone but was made by a well known (possibly respected) brand

Cpu performance is so good.. everthing works smooth.. the screen is very nice according to its low price.. for me the camera is the worst part of this phone.. it says full hd but do not aspect it to record videos without noise and blur.. it records like dashcam recorders.... autofocus is not working well.. it makes you crazy until it focuses .. i did not expect such bad quality from 5 mp sony phone camera.. if i knew it would be like i would not buy it.. i also have some problem with the screen.. some kind of shadows appear under the touchscreen for some time , the they go off by itself.. i think they made a mistake at assembly process, it looks like some kind of dirty.. i think, it just show off at some certain temperature and humidity then goes of. if they become still in time i will go my phone at service.

Had this phone for about 3 months now. Still hasn't given me a reason to complain about it. Every app opens without any sort of stuttering or lagging, and the games are fantastic. The only minor irritation is that Sony's keeping quiet about the update to Lollipop. I'm sure it would be welcome to take full advantage of the 64-bit processor.

there is a Limit of maKing lie.I have e4g its keypad does Not work proper especially back space key. go to any local store and check it and main diadvantage of this phone is that it is taking more than 3 hours to chatge battery full and memory is low.apps are moving to sd card but internal memory is full. there is no change in internal memory space.I cant play high end games. camera is not so good it is ok.

I'm thinking to purchase Sony E4G! I'm not gamer. But I will be using WhatsApp and other messaging apps regularly. I think moto g gen 3 is better than e4g. you are just trying to satisfy that e4g is better than moto g3.actually you all know that moto g3 is better.I am using e4g but play videos in mx player for zooming the video.so in mx player in moto g3 you will be able to play 4k video format also.moto g 3 camera is better than e4g.I don't know what technology use both phones but I know that moto g 3 camera is very good in low light also.I cant able to play nova 3, fifa 15 and asphalt 8 etc not for processor or gpu but for low internal storage.we get only 4 gb to use in e4g but in moto g3 ww can use 10-11 gb approx.and we can use only 350-400 mb ram in e4g but 1.2 gb in mot g3. about waterproof it is budget phone not flagship model you must be satisfied with ipx7 certified and e4g has no waterproofing but moto g 3 has little technology of waterproofing.you are comparing rs 13000 with rs 21000-22000 phone m4 aqua for waterproof.in moto g 3 you will feel the power of nexus smarphones in your hands.moto g 3 can also be called as mini nexus.the biggest issue of e4g is that its keypad is very poor.e4g is not for whastapp, messaging,hike etc.

turn on battery stamina...and u should know that high speed downloads over wifi lead to increased battery use as e4g has dual band wifi for fastest speeds as compared to other phones that have single band wifi.to put your situation into perspective, my iphone 5 lasts 2.5 hours with continuous high speed downloads...

this phone plays avi,mkv,wmv,wav and all formats in default video and audio player.. awesome work sony.no need for mxplayer.besides it supports ac3 audio codec by default.its the only midrange phone that supports so many codecs out of the box...the sound quality is amazing.besides its very fast,fits very nicely,back cover is velvety matte finish..it has timeshift burst camera mode-31 frames in 1 sec(no other phone other than a xperia has this).it also has screen mirroring -beam ur mobile to ur tv.****the best part is the display -u have to see it to believe it****

1st step-go to update centre and download the latest system update.its numbered as 25.0.b.2.14 for e4g dual..and should be numbered something similar for other e4g models..***this update improves the camera performance(after update,e4g in day takes better shots than any 8mp in superior auto mode)and slightly reduces the super sensitive feather touch so that u don't have any typing errors. 2nd step-if u want to master the manual mode,google e4g user manual-download the official manual from sony and read all the camera features in manual mode!

ifvu love music and play games e4g is for u...open the sony music app-get urself a sony or senheiser headset and get lost in music..the music quality is unmatched.besides the speaker is bassssy with very loud output.ps-i am a music maniac and have been using a sonymdr-xb450ap headset with e4g-its awesome.no phone at midrange price matches this. as for games-motog3 is rumored to come with snapdragon 615 -it heats up so that u can't play games for more than half hour..go google snapdragon 615 overheat and cpu slowing..besides e4g scores more in benchmark tests than snapdragon 615 devices..so u would be better off with e4g no doubt!

1.when stamina is on-just keep e4g screen down on ur table,bed etc and it will lock by itself! 2.e4g is powered by octacore mt 6752 according to cpuz,hardware info and 10 other apps with 4 cores in sleep mode.these xtra 4 cores will be activated in lollipop update..all e4g owner download any cpuz like app..i downloaded all apps in playstore that give cpu info and they all say e4g is powered by octacore mt6752.change ur info gsmarena.

e4g 5mp camera easily takes better shots than samsung 8mp camera.colors are deep n great in photos.clarity is unbeatable in daytime shots...u can just zoom to anydistance!i think the better camera is because e4g has f/2.8 aperture lens as compared to f/2.6 of recent samsung 8mp phone cameras as f/2.8 greatly filters out noise and increases clarity.but night time photos need a little improvement though... speaker is loud and clear.. a very good phone.

yes it was confirmed by sony during launch of phone that e4g is lollipop upgradable but the update hasn't arrived yet.i am sure it will be available by august coinciding with Xperia m2 and t3 lollipop update.. its just that its hard to wait 1 month more..MAKE THE UPDATE A BIT FASTER SONY..!

ddr2,ddr3 are ram speeds..if a ram is ddr3 it reads memory faster,loads apps faster,and makes phone smooth.. ddr2 is slower..DATS WHY SAMSUNG PHONES WITH 2GB RAM HANG,BUT SONY PHONES WITH 1GB RAM IS FAST..(and 2gb ddr2 ram is cheaper than 1gb ddr3..)

I have this phone since released it: it's budget phone, so don't expect flagman features in it, but after almost three month I can say that phone have good camera, pictures really are bright, colors looks beautiful. I'm not professional photograph and I understanding, that is not perfect camera, but camera impressed me if say true. Before I bought this phone I had others Xperia's models with 5mp camera, so this camera is really really good compare with others which I had. Also games running without any lag (and I don't mean tetris games or bubbles, I playing sometime Real Racing 3, FIFA 15 or ect.) Moving this phone smooth. By the way if you complete your phone memory or used all rams it can lag a little bit, but it's normal, coz all device if you complete memory or turn on many apps lagging. So maybe some guys talking about that which cryied that this phone lagging :) Anyway all games which are in the market right now you can play without any problem (if this game is supported with it). memory in this phone can be more that 8GB, but still better 8GB neither 4 :) Screen looks really good, bright and wonderful. Design for me is perfect, good in hand. Also sounds good. What can I say more? I like it very much and i'm proud that I bought it :)

i have some info for you,friend.e4g uses latest ddr3 ram whereas yureka uses ddr2 ram and is slower.infact all companies (except Sony) use low cost,slow ddr2 ram..dats why sony phones with 1gb ddr3 ram are costlier, better,faster than yureka,samsung phones with 2gb ddr2 ram that is cheaper, slower,and good to cheat people.

All the reviews say that this phone has a 2 day battery life in normal mode and that these can be extended using the built in stamina modes. These are wrong. I got one of these a week ago and it's going back to the shop today and I'm going to demand a refund. In normal standby mode making just a 5 minute call during that time the battery lasts about 8 hours and so is completely useless (as work don't let me charge my phone up). Even in stamina mode and making less that 2 minutes of calls during that time it won't even last a whole day. I know Sony have never been the best on battery life (having owned a number of them over the years) but even my 1st Sony phone in 1998 had better battery life than this. It's so poor it's practically useless unless you constantly switch it off unless you want to use it, but then nobody can call you if you do that.

if u dont want the 8mp camera of c3,go for e4g...e4g is better than c3 in everything-better display,processor,4g speed but camera of c3 is 8mp back and 5mp front whereas e4g has 5mp and 2mp camera...camera of e4g is good.

Hi,dearest friend.First sorry for my very weak eyes problems that sometimes makes mistakes in choosing the buttons!!!To judge fairly with reading E4g review and compare it with good affordable lumia 535,Xperia E4g has much more superior qualities in all dimensions than 535 Microsoft!!!Of course I myself prefer to have both but to be fair E4g is better!!Hopefully Microsoft with an update solves lumia 535,s touch problem!!!4g vs 3g,5 inches vs 4.7 inches plus,plus,plus!!!Good luck friend in your right choices of good affordable midrange smartphones!!!

Hi,dearest friend.The differences are in WALN,Bluetooth complete and 4G mostly though both haveincredible Bluetooth 4.1!!!Also Ordinary dual E4 sim is on standby in 2G and you can have access in sim one in 3G on E4!!In short E4G is better advanced version of E4!!!Hopefully I could understand myself though here in gsmArena.com reading E4g review is very useful and even making comparable yourself!!Good luck friend.

samsung phones with amoled display become yellow after a year due to amoled degradation and tend to burn in.and again those are costly.this is a budget phone.display of e4g is the best among all midrangers in terms of brightness, contrast,colour reproduction... e4g beats a5,a3,htc,everything in benchmarks... e4g has miracast, bluetooth 4.1. and for your info,mediatek is worlds 2nd largest chip company.it is a taiwan company that makes chip for htc flagships(one m9 plus,one e9 etc), for samsung,for sony...its a very very powerful chip..

the thing is the processor of these model use mediatek, cheaply manufacture in china these processor are cheap that why Lenovo and now Sony is using it, anyhow we cannot say bad about this processor but the high end A5 series and expensive but better choice

google designs android...so the memory leak bugs was from GOOGLE.SONY did the right thing by not releasing the phone with lollipop. because the original lollipop made all phones (sony,samsung,htc etc)slow...so people would have tld e4g is slow if it was released with lollipop ..NOW WHEN ALL BUGS HAVE BEEN REMOVED BY GOOGLE, LOLLIPOP WILL BE RELEASED for this e4g... and IT WILL BECOME EVEN FASTER AS E4G HAS 64BIT PROCESSOR..

yes there is bugs-memory leak bugs.that is why both c3 and t2 ultra received 2 lollipop updates.first was buggy.2nd was to remove bugs.it is because of memory leak bugs that 5.0.1 (first version that was released by samsung,sony,htc)all made phone slow.if u don't believe me google-samsung s5 lollipop bugs,c3 lollipop bugs etc...

e4g has the best display quality among all phones below 30k in india(go to a shop and compare any phone with e4g.u will see that e4g is better in max brightness, contrast and vivid colour reproduction) . and regarding battery life-just google -sony is the king if battery life...u will get the answer. i get 2 days on this phone on a single charge.

hi guys,i just bought sony xperia e4g from a local store(i am from pune,india) and i feel the phone is good,very good.i was impressed with the high brightness and rich colours of e4g default wallpapers in the store itself.so after i came home,i immediately compared the display with my brothers galaxy s4 with amoled display.and guys i don't whether u will believe me or not(but i am telling the truth)-this entry level e4g phone from sony has insanely higher brightness and looks very rich as compared to the samsung flagship.the display on e4g is awsome,mindblowing,rich,bright,vivid..i just don't know what to say...guys just run a full hd video on this e4g phone and all other phones will lose before e4g in comparison. i bow before u sony-u are awesome for giving such high quality display.next,i took my e4g to compare with a friend having htc desire 816(he bought it at 21k)...and e4g again beat the htc by a huge qualitative margin.get this phone guys.

this phone had TIME SHIFT BURST MODE IN CAMERA-takes 31 photos in 2seconds for moving subjects,sound photos...good.NOW I COMPARED E4G AT FULL 5MP AND IT HAS very GOOD QUALITY. my friend has e4g and i am very sad to have bought lg phone as lg has poor display,lags and LG camera is below e4g camera(when e4g is used at 5mp with HDR).

then u didn't use the camera well....e4g camera is very good because i also compared its camera at the shop with samsung core prime,htc 620g,panasonic eluga s,spirit but e4g took better pics because i took photos in full 5mp resolution.u are a fool because u took photos in 2mp resolution (e4g comes from factory at 2mp settings-u have to change it to 5mp in settings) in e4g and wrongly thought e4g is not good.and u came home with a lg phone???seriously??? lg phones hang after 15 days,battery backup is half day,and for goodness sake lg is the worst mobile in terms of reliability.

NO IT HAS NO HEATING PROBLEM. i am really pleased with this sony phone.it is awesome.even after playing asphalt 8 for 1 hour continuous,it doesn't heat up at all.VERY GOOD AWESOME DISPLAY. very fast with no lags.i will rate 5/5.

this phone had very good camera.i bought this 5 hoyrs back and i am impresseed.u see my old nikon d40 dslr has 6.1mp and e4g has 5mp.i have compared and i think e4g is good in camera. obviously i am a freak to compare a entry level phone with a dslr.but i want to say that the CAMERA IS AWESOME IN DAYLIGHT-WORKS LIKE A CHARM. but in night,u HAVE TO USE FLASH.images may come a little blurry on zooming in night photos-but guys this costs so less!!so nothing bad!final verdict -camera is very good for a 5mp camera in a low cost phone

my dear frndz, I really appreciate Sony Xperia phones due to its CAMERA quality, in other hand it has good processing speed & Nice Battery backup. The only thing in Newly lunched Xperia series mobiles is Positioning of Flash light not very good. Its flash light hampers image quality in darkness at night. But its camera quality is superb. Sony company should modify the flash system. Like a previous model Xperia neo L. It had damn good camera quality. I just fell in love with neo-L camera.

brother,u have been using the e4g camera at 2megapixel resolution(as it comes at 2mp from factory). u should go to camera settings and increase the resolution to 5megapixel and then compare.

e4g has the most sharp 5mp camera.if u want proof,go to gsmarena camera review of e4g-there are sample photos-click and download the full size(i emphasise -download full size photos) photos-each photo size about 1.5-2mb-and urself see how clear photos are.download full size or u will not be able to appreciate the camera quality. but in night,images appear a little blurry when taking photos in dark environment with flash.but if u are in a well lighted room in night,u will get good photos.thnx.hope i helped u.

i mean 1 movie within 1 charge cycle...i charge today-watch a movie and then charge again after 1.5 day-2day..if u watch movies using loudspeaker it uses more battery.

could you guys please tell about the battery performance of this phone? the battery test result here indicates more or less %50 weaker performance than E4. Is it that bad or still beats most models in this segment? I'm thinking of buying a smartphone at the price range of this model. I don't expect much from a smartphone. I would do casual web browsing, occasional video playback, occasional gps usage and a little gaming with games like temple run or angry birds etc. but there could be some times that I may use whatsapp for 3 or 4 hours a day. at this type of usage, is this phone capable to carry on at least one day? one more thing; is this phone stable to use with as less problem as possible for 3 or more years?

tested the brightness of e4g with a luxmeter and achieved 424 LUX, which is great, especially considering the Xperia E4 reaches 217 LUX, the OnePlus One 404 LUX and the HTC One M9 362 LUX.:-). this phone is amazing.
