ROCK SOLID PHONE, I have since finlas of 2013, has fall down to the floor incredibly many times and never has break the screen, the battery last more than new phones, it last until two days in normal use, absolutely no problems with these hard quality phone!!!

Using it since daughter birth (4 yearsma very good experience with this smartphone, had a fair connection in very poor conditions, front camera giving grained pictures, but back one is good. Was using it to as a hotspot for mobile internet too and was very good. Never had to go to service for anything. Problem is with low memory so no many application can be installed at the same time. It dropped many times on the flor and the ground but except some phone casing damage no other mailfunction. Battery is still fine. It served me well but now is the time for a change. I hope that I will find again reliable smartphone.

Using it since August 2013. Rock solid - can't remember how many times it fall on the floor. One problem since the beginning - low internal memory for which, one needs to be very selective while installing apps. Also, it's time to change the battery. Sony products are pricier than the competitors but there are reasons! Just wished if there was a similar model with 3GB RAM, full HD display and 32 GB internal memory within 15K in India from Sony. But, that's not to be!

This is the worst phone there is - the only thing worse is the service or lack of it from John Lewis. My phone lasted 1 DAY and John Lewis in collusion with Sony said that despuite any evidence on the phone - it was user fault. May well be a fine phone but be very wary if anything goes wrong. This phone is pretty powerful because it has the dual core 1Ghz "Krait" CPU although it's Snapdragon 400 and Adreno 300 GPU is outdated. Yeah, its old but its specs still challenges most of the phones of 2016. Even NOVA 3 runs smoothly on this phone.. yeah battery drains quicker than before but still it is a very good phone.

I purchased Sony Experia L in 2013 . It works well till last Month. It started charging less than 15% then I called at Helpline They have no updates of its repairing Centers. They messages me the addresses of such centers they closed two years before. Finally I reached the Janakpuri centre Delhi they took Rs. 120/- for repairing set and forword it for repairing and took Rs. 430/- but the problem exits same and demanded Rs. 9000/- for rep[airing. I decided to get exchanged it through Flipcart They just valued it Rs.280/-. This is the current market value of this Product.

Had this phone for almost three yeaer. Dropped it a few times, once in the toilet seat.. took it out, dried it up, and it worked perfectly. This phone is amazing for the money and I'd keep using it if it only hada bigger screen, as now I want a phone to use as in car entertainment. Got a LG G3 and it's GPS is awfull, XL never lost it's GPS signal, G3 looses it all the time. Will try Xperia C4 to see if it's a worthy replacement for my beloved L.

This's the greatest device ever. After I unlocked the bootloader I'm now running Android 6.0.1 and everything is working perfectly the only thing is that the front camera doesn't work well. I have 16GB class 10 sdcard and it's running fast. No lag or bugs on Android 6.0.1 and the apps are running smoothly. If you want to buy this device then go ahead and don't forget to unlock the bootloader and install android m.

This phone is absolute trash. I never ever write reviews on phones but I want to warn people thinking of buying this over a actual SMARTphone. (besides I have time because right now my phone is in the freezer, good job Sony!) So the phone started out normal, blah blah blah here are the issues: 1) Storage & Memory (I downloaded three apps and its done! Won't detect SD) 2) Camera (The front camera is sh** if you post a pic with it you will be bullied by other android device users, and iPhone users will tell you to kill yourself.) 2.5) Another issue is at one point my phone overheated and the cameras, and flash stopped working from that day on, never to work again. (This happens with many different Xperia models do your homework ;) 3) The battery (So, the battery has always died pretty quickly and charged quickly. Brightness = lowest setting, screen timeout 30m. But the thing is is worked...for a while but after I realized the battery is fck'd. It dies really quickly. I had it in the wall for over an hour today after it died, and nothing happened! There's nothing wrong with the charger! The phone was still dead. I had the phone on and charging this morning. I had no apps open except the music app I was listening to. I turned the screen off! And lemme mention again THE PHONE WAS "CHARGING" and the battery went from 72 to 69 in a few minutes. Uh uh sorry papi but I don't mess with a phone who's battery level decreases as it is plugged in! The phone is trash, buy something else!

Hi there are two reasons 1) In internal storage ,DCIm folder might have occupied many GB of memory except photos.Move every photos and delete tat folder. 2)In settings ---> storage---> Internal-->Misc , Miscallenous storage would have estrongs or some thing like tat delete tat.

It says 1gb ram and 8gb internal. Isn't it 2gb ram and 4gb internal? I've been using it for 2+yrs and it is good except for battery /heating issues. Though, i must say I used it too much. On an average, More than 12+ hours of hay day and coc each day, for about 8 months. I'd advise to go for cyanogenmod atleast after the first year. Only then you can use its fullest capacity, getting rid of bloatwares.

Every time phone memory is showing full.It is because of temporary files are storing at 'DCIM' folder and 'Lost Dir' folder at phone memory.Now I am cleaning this folder with storage analyser software;minimum two to three times a day. If your battery is not good, then you should reduce your display brightness, and uninstall unwanted apps thats always running in RAM... It will improve your battery life... Don't use apps like du booster, Instead of that pls try apps cleaner or sd maid app... And also use only sony charger, and charge your battery only if it get low...

It's more than 2.5 years and working brilliantly! I've been using a 32GB class 4 Sandisk card since almost the day of purchase. No problems. Set aside technical jargon - gives far better display quality than more expensive counterparts. I've seen a lot of 720p movies and videos on my L and I know what I'm talking about. Performance is superb. Had the camera and battery life been a little better(say by 20-25%), this phone would've been a winner all the way. Planning to keep this phone for 2 more years at least. Absolute bang for the buck!

Have it since 2 years and 2 months now. Rooted and (not so) well taken care it works perfectly for me. It has fell everywhere and i have not a single scratch on the screen, idk what you did to your poor xperia. The only issue i have had is with the charging port, it's a little bit weak and if you mess arround with it a lot it can break. Also, the front camera sucks really bad.

If want your xperia l not to be hanged then root it and flash the custom ROM which is cm 12 nightly(latest) then see your phone just becomes damn fast......because the original firmware is of 669 mb and if ull root it and flash the cm 12 nightly which is of only 250 mb

According to me its "paisa wasul phone". Cos after using this from 2 years it still does give me 1 day battery back including gaming,internet. Comng to camera clearity it does have good 1 but not up to to tat level. When it comes performance believe me it doesn't hang unless you use memory card.

Have been using it for 2 years now. Phone worked well for first 1 year, but then it started hanging. It can deal with bare minimum apps (light weight). To detail, I use 6,7 apps like watsap, facebook, insta, hdfc, m indicator. I dont play games, still its v slow. The battery back up has worsened after one year. To put it in short, the phone is nice for 1 year, then it suffers due to v low phone memory and v less battery strength. And pathetic front cam.

I have had this phone for 2 years. 1 It runs out of memory there is a memory leak that you cant get memory back after deleting apps etc. You have to install 3rd party app to do this for you SONY apparently cant write one themselves. There are threads in sony "support" about this and the answer is to download the latest version of the operating system from years ago which does not fix the problem these threads are years old. If you dont buy a mem card expansion this will be a problem very fast and the only remedy is to do a factory reset and this time make sure you have a mem cleaner. 2. It has completely broken and needed to be replaced thankfully i had no problem with this under warrenty but i very much got the impression if there was any sign of damage then the blame would be attributed to me. 3. The new replaced version the camera gave out 2 months ago and the battery now lasts 1 hour max. Mentioning this to my phone provider i was informed the warranty on the battery is one year only. I have barely used this phone for the first 6 months i only used it for calls and no apps etc because of my location then and even when i started to try and use apps I encountered the memory problems so the battery really hasnt been stressed at all. I have bought an iPhone and am so very very happy with it. Yes its more expensive but SONY have not fixed any of the problems with this phone whilst apple are still supporting and releasing new iOS for their iPhone 4 I will be selling it to someone who likes the happy customer reviews here once it is unlocked.

A good phone using it since 1 or 1.5 years but some problems are there a big problem is the battery it always turns off in a blink when their is almost 45% battery (if fully charged) and then i try to turn it on it says low battery and i need to connect my charger and charge it from 0% it happens to me like 9 to 10 time daily somebody knows something about this issue plz help me. and some little little issues which were mentioned above in the comments.

Hello. I have been using Sony Xperia L for almost 2 years, I faced some problems; 1) The battery runs out too fast (fully charged battery runs out in 1 hour) eventhough I do not do anything with my phone such as playing games, surfing and etc. 2) The clock on the notification bar does not change according to the setup time, but the clock on the homescreen changes accordingly. It means the clock on the notification bar is not parallel with the clock on the homescreen (e.g: the time now is 5.45 p.m, the clock on the homescreen shows 5.45 p.m, but the clock on the notification bar is still 5.00 p.m.) 3) The alarm clock is not functioning. 4) The mobile data/internet connection cannot be switched off. Does anybody knows how to solve these problems? Please help me.

Hi, I have my Xperia L for 2 years and I don't have any big issues. Only the sensor, a little bugs when somebody calls me and I touch de screen and he does nothing. Sometimes, the screen doesn't work and I have to lock and unlock the phone to screen works. In the past 2 months my battery runs out more fast. I'm very carefull with my phones. Problem are bleow and i like share you solution but not permant but it works. Problem-1 memory gets full-internal memory solution-1. follow link go to file manager-internal memory- DCIM (click details) if showing 1gb or more and in that folder no images/video (please be confimed) then delete it(curropt file is deleted). And your internal memory get free. 2.if not yet clean delete -LOST DIR folder in setting. 3.if not yet clean go to setting -application manager-all apps -memory(force to stop it and again enable) also do same for android storage app ......your memory gets free For you help mail [email protected]

Solid low end phone but was let down by the insufficient storage issues. You can't install much. If you can live with the pre-installed apps and add one or two more then you will have a reliable little phone that can last you a whole day. I have already bought a Samsung Galaxy A8 as a replacement but still use this phone as a GPS and Hot Spot device only..

Xperia L First, where is the "L"? 2nd, don't download any apps, you will overwhelm the system. 3rd, Camera sucks, unless you like blurry pictures and playing with it instead of taking pictures. Zoom has a mind of its own. 4th, Nav disconnects or can't find the network (it is not my location b/c others work just fine in the same locale) 5th, Sony support is misnamed. After about 3 months of having this phone I started receiving notifications that my memory was 100% full so I transferred about half my stuff over to my 16gb SD card which then told me that it was 100% full as well. No matter how many things I deleted, apps I uninstalled and no matter how many times I cleaned the phone up, it still told me everything was 100% full. I've done some research and this is common for xperias though most common in this model and there is apparently no way to change it. Everything else about the phone I'm happy with but I'm being forced to buy a new type as I just can't continue to use this one as it won't even let me take a single picture or have any app other than the very necessary anymore. Would not recommend, I'm sad to say.

I've been using this phone for nearly two years. Never had a problem. I guess the reviews posted here are exceptional. It's a great phone. Just a word of caution - keep it from falling face on, because the screen is very sensitive and company replacement is expensive. Otherwise, enjoy this gadget. I have had my Xperia L for almost 2 years now and I love it. I have dropped it hundreds of time and the screen has never cracked! I even once dropped it in the rain on the ground and the back cover came off (cos i often fiddle and take the back cover off as a wierd habit) and the phone was totally uneffected!! the battery life is great, the only thing i don't like about the phone is the camera is quite bad :( that is the only reason i am going to buy a new phone, or else i'd happily keep my xperia L for my entire life, thats how much i love it!

Don't buy the Xperia L, I have one and regret it !! The memory is crapp, internal is split in 2 parts (1x 1,57 gb, 1x 4,01 gb) apps are installed partly on both parts, i cant install to many apps now the 1,57 part is almost full and the 4,01 part is 3,27gb free !! it's a grep sullution !

Guys, my Xperia L got some scratches on its lens cover and imaging took a big hit after that. Its images are not as sharp as it was before and there was light bleed in my images. Some apps cannot be transfered to Sd card. Only Photos, vdos and Music can be transfered. Goto settings->storage->slide down to misc -> transfer data to sd card-> tap and transfer data. In camera App-> setting-> slide down to Data storage-> tap and select sd card. Photos and vdos are stored in Vdo.

those who all complain about that memory issue. I advice you to go for a custom ROM . kk ROMs are almost stable and can carry any task u throw up except camera quality. It is LP ROM which will give you great camera experience and your phone will survive a day without charging, but you will notice a sudden drain in performance . you can check the rooting ( flashing custom kernel is pretty easy), custom rom flashing steps from xda developers.

Most of the Xperia L's have a defect in it's proximity sensor and doesn't turn off when used in calling. It lags a lot. Sometimes when I'm really pissed off I throw it. This is a fabulous phone but only drawback being that it sucks in case of internal storage. There's no option given to choose default memory, everything is stored in internal storage no matter how bigger your ad card is. You can move only photos and videos to your sd card using transfer to sd card option. All of your photos' and videos'load is bourn by the internal storage even when the files are on sd card which is more irritating. Rest no complain

I have been using this phone since a year and a half now. so far no problems. The battery drains fast. with heavy usage it would last you for approx 5 hours. the back camera is brilliant.The examor sensor really does its work well.The back camera clarity of this 8mp is a thousand times better then 13mp of a mi4i or motoX or HTC 816G. Except for the secondary camera which is the front camera is a below average performance. The shape is beautiful and the size is compact. However the back cover of the phone comes off easily and is prone to breaking.The quality of plastic used for the back cover is absolutely cheap hence if your phone falls off your hands rest assured the screen will be untouched but the back plastic might break. Also over a period of time the camera has slowed down in terms of clicking pics. Overall a good phone. Cant use this for heavy gamming.Good for simple usage like browsing and playing low end games.

Have been using Xperia L for 2 years now. Its a good sturdy set. The battery back up is good. With moderate usage it lasts me a day and a half. However, if I use it extensively to play games or downloading apps, it starts draining out. But as a user one knows one's usage and will use it to fit his/her needs. I haven't found much problems with L.The camera quality is not as one expeects from a Sony phone, but it is still okay. The voice quality is good. The best thing I like about this phone is that it is a very sturdy set. Worth the money.

Dude, you've gone crazy.. the chipset doesn't support 1080 p videos, the snapdragon s4 is an old chip.. but it handles 720p stuffs very well .. And which top tier branded phone has water proof technology under 15000 Inr??? stop being crazy.. the problems with this phone are 1. Touch sensitivity is not good 2. Front camera 3. err because its dirt cheap? i got mine for just 89.99USD in an online shopping site... this phone runs some most games at a decent framerate. I could play GoT, GTA Vice city, Real racing, republique and other HD games decently the battery is sufficient for its price tag. it doesnt lag at normal operations.. try a 200USD phone from Samsung and see the difference in smoothness My only complaint is the touch sensitivity.. i have known about this issue before buying the phone but I got it anyway because the price tag is very alluring.. and yeah it look better than other brands offering at the same price range... it looks more premium thant the cheap looking phones from samsung and HTC...

it depends, if you don't install so many apps that run in background (this is a problem with just 1 gb of ram) you shouldn't have any trouble, i run real racing 3 with extra high graphics (you can do this with an app rr3 Graphics Settings) and it runs smoothly. but you can have problem with the touch feature, 90% of people says it is fixed on update 4.2.2 but it is not totally true, imagine that you have both thumbs aligned on the screen, if they touch the same pixels (i don't know how to explain it other way) in the same "line" that is parallel of any side of the screen, they cancel each other out and it is like if you aren't touching the screen, so, i.e. in a shooting game, you will be exposed and get killed. and it is annoying... hope this helps you

if your phone is rooted, you can install xposed, and the performance profile module, then, you just enter to lockscreen profile and set the governor to powersave, same with screenoff profile, and remember to set te cpu frequency in the cpu2, it's the second or third option i guess, it is very intuitive and easy, by the way, I switch both profiles max cpu 1 step more than the minimum, and the default profile you set interactive governor, leave the frequencies as they are, and that's all.

this phone sucks. i had it one month and it took one fall to the ground and the screen cracked. it still worked and i have been using it that way ever since. the camera is horrible. A 2mp camera on other phones works faster and better. 8mp is a fraud. It only has 4gb internal storage and the minute u climb over 2gb of usage there is an annoying notification that will not stop alerting you that the memory is almost full. It freezes all the time and the battery only lost a day tops (thats everyday use like wifi and texting and call and so fort). Overall the phone is cheap but it sucks. You literally get what you pay for.

Short opinion about Xperia L after 6 months of usage: Design and build quality: Superb design with okayish build quality. Can't expect more in a lower mid range device. Display: Viewing angles are decent and good pixel density for a midranger. You cannot see pixels unless you bring the device close to your eyes. Battery: Im a moderate user. If i unplug it at 100% in the morning at around 7.30am, there will be around 12-18% charge left at around 9pm in the eve. Battery life is not that bad. Call quality: NO issues till now.. clear and adequately loud. Camera and video: 8mp camera is not the best when compared to other 8mp in the same segment. But it gets the job done most of the times. VGA front sucks. Video capture at 720p is good enough. Multimedia: Excellent music player with some tweaking options for the music. Earphones provided wasnt good but anyways I got a skull candy :P . Speaker output is pretty loud to my liking. video playing has no problems in playing upto 720p videos in default app. It couldnt handle 1080p due to hardware limitations. PERFROMANCE: Though its a dual core device with a GB ram, I didnt find any major stutters or hangs. The phone phone is fluid enough to please you apart for some occasional stutters..Adreno 305 could handle some HD games too. Overall the phone is a above average performer. Browsing: Default browser (chrome) exits sometimes while browsing.. after that particular app exits automatically, the phone stutters a little bit for about 10 secs. Other browsers didnt have any issues. no problems with gps. ISSUES I FACED AFTER BUYING: 1. TOUCH SENSITIVITY: I was annoyed by the sensitivity of the screen. When i use my tip of my fingers, It wont respond. I have to use the part below the finger tip to mae it work. Consulted the service center and they told its a common problem for xl. I dont know how far it is true. This issue is sometimes annoying. 2. AUTO RESTART: The 3rd day since i bought this phone, the phone restarted 2 times automatically. Then there was a software update. The problem was solved. 3. CAMERA NOT AVAILABLE!! Man i was shocked to see this.. After that i restarted my phone and the camera worked. I got this error only once. NOw its fine. So i faced these 3 problems. The auto restart problem and camera problem were solved automatically. The only thing that i feel annoying sometimes is the touch sensitivity. still a good phone to use on a daily basis..There are few phones in the same price range. Check them too before buying. This is my personal perception after using it for 6 months. Perceptions may vary person to person. Cheers!!

Simple opinion. This phone is really great on hands-on. I love the 8mp camera idea where it really does good on low light condition as it said in specs of this phone. About the performance, sometimes its get laggy when going to home screen. But anyway, this phone is really the good value of mid-ranged smartphone for anyone that want the best design and camera experience from a mid-range phone. Don't be stupid enough to complain about the camera suck or whatever because you are the one that "sucks" at using camera. Mine doing so well. Peace !

Its hidden in thumbnail folder first download es file explorer and open it tap in left side go to tools check show hidden files then again tap the left side local select internal memory which is 0 in there go to DCIM you will see thumsnail folder its useless delete it dont worry all the photos inside it is just a copied file of ur sd card photos. After deleting thumsnail folder tap new in left side of explorer select file and save it as ".thumnails" then it wont happen next time. Hope it helps.

I'm using this Xperia L nearly 11 months upto that it was fine. I just did once factory reset data from then I'm facing problem is that it is showing 4.01gb available but when I open file commander and enter into it then the memory automatically increases and shows memory used 1.09gb when I check in storage it shows in pictures and videos 1.09gb used but there is no photo or video on my phone in internal memory... dude i agree C3 and M2 (aqua) are good phone, but ZR is still better, C3 only beats ZR in terms of front camera and bigger screen. in terms of processor and GPU, ZR is better than C3 and M2

1.) when you switch to GSM mode only and the problem is fixed, then it means the 3G(WCDMA) network in your place is not that great, if you are on auto mode then no matter how poor the 3G signal is the phone tends to latch on it. so locking the device to 2G(GSM) mode should eliminate any problem that you have with the coverage. 2.) sometimes when the CPU can't take the load it restart itself, as you said it only happened once so this should not be a big deal. 3.) I'm not aware of this problem, but when my phone is laid flat on the table touch sometimes doesn't work. it's just normal i guess if you're bothered i suggest you to takethe phone to sony center, they should be able to check it further. 4.) VGA camera IS the secondary camera, i agree it's not the best and i don't use it too because of poor quality but main camera as you said is OK.

Hi, Everyone I am Using Xperia L from Last week. The First thing I faced when I bought this Phone is, Signal Drop Problem however it happened only 3-4 times and gets resolved by turning on and off AirPlane Mode, also there is one another solution I think is that choose NetWork Mode only GSM. if I choose WCDMA/GSM it will happened(signal Drop) whenever U got 1 or 2 bars of signal. There is some Problem with WCDMA mode. 2nd Problem I faced (only once) auto phone restarted while surfing.. which made me really worried so I re-paired my Software through Sony PC Companion. 3rd Is not an eror just a Defect is Touch sensitivity. Some time I HAVE to Touch harder e.g when moving Apps Shortcuts on Home screen. and last VGA is really really bad .. Hi I have used an xperia L from 15 September 2013 to this September . The battery life is not good at all I usually keep WiFi on. If you forgot to turn of WiFi and battery is around 50% it will discharge overnight. Happened to me more then 11 or 12 times. After it was stolen I switched to a Moto G battery life is much better although as I didn't use an sdcard on xperia L. Moto g 8gb of memory was not a problem for me.

A lot of negative feedback can be seen against Xperia L. And judging by the language of those posts, it's pretty clear that those are works of one or two person. Even the masked IPs look similar(previously, one person used different username and used the same PC). Just to malign Sony. Seems like a marketing ploy from one/two competitor. This phone has its own problem but then what thing in the Universe is perfect? Please don't mislead people without even using the phone just to make it appear inferior than a Samsung/HTC/Nokia. I can see people post that their phone used to hang a lot, you can download Clean master. For issue related to memory low, you can disable unwanted app from Setting> Apps> tap on the app and clear data> force stop> disable. Try this and check if it is working for you.

Xperia L is a fantastic smartphone which has lots of features like camera, video, Walkman, etc close to high-end models (eg. Z2) but at a very affordable price (1/3 the price).. I've been using it since Aug 2013 - not a bit of regret.. No issues at all... :-)

To anyone regardless fast battery draining issue - make sure, that you have enabled STAMINA mode, which can be found in the setup. My XL lasts for two days with average use of 3G (an hour or more per day), wifi, calls and texts. Also, clean up your device with Clean Master, which actually helps with the performance. If it slows down try using clean master or any similar app. Im a draftsman and i can easily use autocad 360 to view large autocad files. So no lagging issues. Battry lasts a day. Asphalt 8 runs smoothly so any gamer can understand the power under the hood. Ok the camera isn't what i expected from a 8mpxl.front camera is not working well under low light conditions. But overall this is an ok phone for this price range. And i forgot to mention the looks. This looks like a luxury phone in your hands.. normally i use aux cable not usb cable, when i plugged in the aux cable on the audio jack on my phone and on the radio speaker it will automatically connect like an earphone then when i play the music it play on the radio speaker, other than that why don't you try bluetooth connection you just need to pair your device

Worse phone, screen doesn't respond well on multi touch. Screen is too weak. It can be cracked on simple drop. If u have already used galaxy, iPhone or htc phones than you can't play any game in it. Touch screen us worse I have ever seen. So this phone is in junk right now.

Actually the problem is when the phone is placed in a horizontal position and I touch the screen for unlocking or for scrolling, the screen doesn't respond. I had to press hard to make it work. And when I'm using the phone with my hand and if I'm using the tip of my finger, the screen doesn't respond. Either I had to press harder or use the finger's middle part (slightly below the top area of my finger) to make it work. I posted questions regarding this issue in many discussion forums and facebook pages. The reply I got was mixed. Some users told that this problem is common. Some others told that xperia L has a good touch screen. I was confused and took my mobile to service center. I hope for the best. I cant digest this issue because even a low cost 3rd class mobile phone has a better touch response. :(

I'm using Sony Xperia L and that's really great. But it has one problem in the screen. Sometimes I have to double touch it to work! but just sometimes! At all it's a nice and really beauty phone. and if you have problems with battery you can use STAMINA mode. go to settings/power management/STAMINA mode. When you are not using your device, if a program is working and that's not necessary, this mode will turn that program off and when you want to use your phone everything goes back to the initial state. Really bad build quality. In new one i found stuck pixels on TFT panel that defect was really bad and no one replacing under warranty. I sell on loss immediately Battery is very bad as well as front camera is the poorest. TFT touch is not that accurate. Rest is fine if left something to describe.

Just check whether your phone is running the latest 15.3.A.1.17 update. Settings-> About Phone-> Build number.

I don't think that issue persists after the 15.3.A.1.17 update. As soon as i connected the device to wifi it showed the update and it doesn't have that issue now. I didn't experience any issues as of now. My friend too told that his phone was restarting frequently before the 15.3.A.1.17 update.

dude!! I guess you are talking about the bottom right corner of the panel (near the microphone).. To be frank, I got the phone from the shop sales guy for checking my brand new phone. I noticed the same issue. I informed it to the sales guy. He talked with the showroom manager and opened another xperia L package. That package was good. So i bought that. So some of the phones have that issue, not all. better get replaced or repaired. I intentionally checked the front panel becoz my friend had that problem in his phone and he got it rpaired from the service center..Don't know why sony is providing stupid quality. :( :(

I'm Xperia E and Xperia L user.. My only problem with xperia L is the function of both its camera. it's not working properly. the quality completely poor, especially front camera. i'm on android 4.2.2 build number 15.3.a.11.7 - Xperia E did better than xperia l on camera, faster capturing, more detail for its class (3,15 mp) than 8mp of Xperia L.. The other functions of My Xperia L such as sound (loud and clear), perform work as well as the spec. Anyway, i'm still waiting for official update 4.3 or 4.4 to fix bugs in this phone. Or, should i use CM 11 custom rom ??

Can anyone help me with my xperia l, the problem is my gallery disappears very often... This is for the 4th time it is happening... After the gallery is disappeared i 'factory restore' the phone, after which the gallery appears bt i have to lose all my contacts,photos, n every single thing in my phone... my 3 month old xperia L is in repair center right now, the other day i just woke up bec. of my alarm but the touch are not working anymore, i try to reset the phone but still it wont work so i decided to bring it to the repair center, good thing I kept my receipt for it warranty purposes, the tech said that the front cover including the lcd of my phone is need to replace.. sadly they don't have stocks of it so I will wait for 2 to 3 weeks before they fix it.. 2 to 3 weeks that I don't have smart phone... x(

U can taste kitkat on your xperia L through cyanogen mod11 or through pac man, omni rom, carbon rom,slimbean etc....go to xda forum. ..u will find all of them...u just need some knowledge abt rooting, flashing, custom rom, custom kermel, clockwork mode recovery etc e.c..these r not too hard to do..just need some patient and intelligence

XL Xperia l is much better than my XS xperia s in terms f performance (multitasking) sound quality on par with my xperia s although my XZ1 sounds lil better, i compared cams of sp and XL both are not good, pics shows blurs, XS and XZ1 r way ahead in cam quality. Performance wise XSP is faster n will never hang like XL does when loaded up with many apps, the more u install apps on XL slower it becomes. Given the price i'd go again for XL even if i lost it, I love it so much. I dunno about gaming performance of XSP as i dont personally own this one but i do know that its not really good. Hope that it helped.

I think u should change it. The difference is: the chipset (quadcore vs dual core), the camera (1080@30fps vs 720p@30fps), the battery ( huge different),the screen size (more pleasing with the 4.8), and the OS (4.3 upgradable to 4.4 vs 4.2), and the design (similar to sony xperia z2). your question was already asked before it should be on page 3. but to answer your question xpeira L can play movies at 720p, it can also 1080p however it will hang, not play sometimes so you need to download third party players for you to be able to watch 1080p videos/movies properly.

Now is it not posible anymore, it comes out off the box with android 4.2 on it. For so far a know is it inposible to downgrade to android 4.1. I have my phone now for a few weeks and was come out of the box with android 4.2 directly. But i aim verry happy with my xperia L, he is better than my iPhone 4S . I bought this because of 8 mp camera, but it performs worse than 1.3 mp Nokia camera. The good thing is it doesn't lag with normal use even in heavy games.

I recently brought my Xperia l.Battery backup is gud , Average camera , gaming performance is gud, sound quality is awsm with X loud, bright screen but touch is not that sensitive as I expected but I have got used to it.It only supports 720p video recording but no full hd + playback . Overall its a good phone. Big things in small package.

Hello, I am using this phone for the past 10 months and its just brilliant, the software is great, no lags, its fast and camera for those who know how to use it is amazing, one thing i dont recommend is to uodate your phone to android 4.2.2 because its full of bugs, mantain the 4.1 version and you will have no problems whatsoever. If you use your phone litle with stamina its drains not fast and he will last minimum 2 days but if you use often social media like twitter and facebook it will drain fast. I have to charge every day my phone but my phone stickes a hole day long on my hands.

ahm you question is a bit confusing, there is no HD songs, songs are classed by kbps. but it can play any music files, i think you are pertaining to HD movies like 720p/1080p, xpeira L can play movies at 720p, however you need to download third party players for you to be able to watch 1080p videos/movies. regarding games yes you can play HD games on the phone although resolution may drop a bit compared to Full HD screened phones.

the coverage in your area for your network provider may not be good, or 3G in your place may be weak, by deafault the phone is set up WCDMA(prefered)/GSM auto mode, no matter how weak the 3G signal is the phone still tries to latch on it, so it is advisable to lock the device to GSM mode only to get a better signal in your place if you only use it for calls and text and put it back on auto mode if you want to use internet ( 1 bar 3G is faster than full bars of 2G in terms of internet). apart from that it is possible that you may have placed the phone on a spot/place that don't have signal for quite some time, it happens on mine sometimes when i put my phone on my locker which is located at the bottom of the rows, there's absolutely no signal inside my locker so when i pull out my phone from my locker it shows no signal even after i went outside the building it's still the same, since your phones was put on a dead spot for a period of time it's having a hard time reconnecting to a network, all you just need to go to settings - more- mobile network-network operator and manually connect to your network provider, signal will re-appear again.

I don't recommend. Usually only the updates provided by the companies are dependable. one of friend installed kitkat on his phone he found issues like not catching cellular networks. speaker not working properly. the software and updates should be customised specifically to your phone.

I Ave been using this phone for about 8 months. It's d worst phone I ever hung up with. It Lags, slow down wen multitask is done. Inside d hood,it's very bad, but outside has a great design for show off. I ll not recommend this phone for spec geeks who needs a faster phone. The battery drains before you even be aware of it. Camera is negotiable. Loudspeaker Volume is like from old sound box. Also there are connectivity issues. No official kitkat updates possible. No otg support. For the same cost dre are lots of mobile surpass this low end specs. Indeed oly the brand and design is better in this phone. Conclusion: Inside empty,outside brand'y.

Well, it's 11 months since I've been using this phone. It's simply superb for this price range. I'd rather say it's the best. Issues are there. Like poor front camera, poor night shots, no option to move the apps to SD card and only 1750 mAh battery. But, nothing in this world is perfect. Those phones which are better in these aspects fall far behind in other aspects. The chipset,VGA and the internal speaker is far better than Galaxy and Micromax mobiles below 20000 INR. The display is richer and textures are better than some reviews and so called 'users' suggest. No lagging in HD games and multitasking. Those who are complaining about the rear camera, probably should learn how to take photoes with a mobile. And then there is design and feel which no benchmark score can't define. When you take it(or for that matter any Sony product) in your hand, the premium feel that you will get will never be felt in other phones.

Hi, I had the same problem after upgrading to version 15.3.A.1.14. I used bootloader to flash the lower version ( 15.3.A.0.26) and its working just fine, and the problem of hanging after phone calls is gone.

unfortunately no, Xperia L do not have the option to move apps to SD card on the phone, you can only move apps to internal memory and device memory but not to SD card. some people root their phone to get this feature, others claims that they do move apps to SD card using a computer by transfering data folder from phone to SD storage. but this will cause problem on the apps. Xperia C on the other hand have an option to install apps directly to SD card by selecting 'Preferred install location' as SD card also it has the option to move apps to sd card on the phone itself.

which galaxy core are you pertaining to? there are diff versions of galaxy cores now. but the original core I8260, uses adreno 203 GPU which is inferior to xperia L, the phone may not be able to play heavy games as it may not be able to handle the graphics properly. in terms of processing power, you can see in benchmark scores that Xperia L is better option so it is better at gaming.

I am also facing issues with Xperia L .It is hanging a lot while playing games . I used to download apps and save it to memory card so that space can be utilized for the phone but still it is hanging a lot. Its been 1 yr ... and this is the second time , i am writing comment .. Phone is sturdy, durable ..No lags .. till date working perfectly fine .. No hanging .. Gaming is awesome a beast as all damn HD games works fine without any lag ..the only biggest disappointment is the internal memory 8 gb we get 4 gb which is full with android updates .Sony keeps us giving new system/Application updates which is really great however there is no memory space left now as Apps cannot be moved to SD card. Pls SONY make this possible ..Otherwise this phone has very high capabilities.
