Sony Xperia L2 - User Reviews

  • Sony Xperia l2 (4311)battery available in qater. How much QAR. Availability

  • L2 for sure. Massive battery life. Solid perfomance. Solid camera. I'm having my for a year now. Don't upgrade phone because it will drain your battery a lot faster. Call quallity is also good.

  • Speaker is fair to good Display is decent but too much brightness blurs everything The processor is a bit of a lag

  • We've sold Sony phones unlocked for several years now and I have to say this one is slow and too expensive for how outdated it's hardware is. Fingerprint sensor is a plus because Sony was way behind on the feature. I tell people to look at honor 2 because it's a better phone. But I'll sell one of those if people are set on buying this particular phone. It's coming down in price though from $219 to $189 you can get a better deal online though.

  • It works for all phones!

  • L3 please have P22!

  • sony Xperia I2 or Huawei p8 lite 2017 ???

  • This phone is violet

  • Guys can somebody help me which one is the best between Xperia XA1 and L2? please help asap

  • are u sure??

  • Have you tried to access the developer menu and enable force 2d GPU rendering and disable animations, then it should be fast! Camera & battery fix, no way man! O3O

  • It is very poor. It is over heating, battery backup less, camera quality dull

  • Thanks alot dude, i did for xperia E1, itz now blazing fast.

  • Dude all ya need to do is to access the developer menu and enable force 2d GPU rendering and disable animations, then it will be fast like a heat-seeker missile heading for Kim Jong Uns barberque! :D

  • Awesome chipset tough price is a bit high. :)

  • Does it support DSLR effect (defocus background) ?

  • The seems disappointing because it has MTK processor. All Snapdragon Phones produced 2017 to 2018 won't be like this.

  • Actually I have that phone 4 two weeks now I actually did not want a price phone all I want affordable one And actually this phone is amazing I am regular user so it am not pushing it hard it last with me all day and help a lot with my study and the display right it is not that bright but it's much sharper and vivid colours I compared it with my friend Samsung note 8 in light condition and my friend actually impressed about it The phone performance is actually good I think it perfect for me But I really prefer the xa1+. And the xz2. Ultra

  • Please does this phone not come with earphones

  • I think you're wrong. The cameras on note 8 are from Sony ;) And you can\'t compare Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium with SGN8. Please be more intelligent when you write comments like this (srry from my English, I\'m other nation)

  • 5 stars support. i still use 2 of my 5 years old xperia. it works great! higher resolution consume more data.mine xperia with 720p use 1 mb of data, but for 1080p needs 2.5mb. 720p is a good option for people to chose a round.

  • is this phones display good? whats thats quality like? and how about speaker?

  • that is one poorly optimized device. Its got a 720p lcd and weak soc with a battery larger than last years flagship and it gets a 65h endurance rating wtf.

  • Excuse me can anybody who have this phone tell me it's pros and cons please

  • This phone is overpriced. Even Samsung gives more value for money at the same price.

  • HI Sir,you can not compare nokia with sony.

  • My friend is using this phone he is really disappointed with this bad camera and over all performance is not good also this is very costly can get oppo or vivo Samsung in this price range there is good products

  • Not that much

  • It's a shame that a smartphone announced and released in 2018 and at this price range will not get the Android™ version 8.0 (Oreo)

  • Good mobile but a very bad camera

  • Nope the link still works. Here is another link:

  • It will support 5G and 4G ...Guide it...

  • your link is expired (error 404)

  • Don't buy this overpriced garbage. It will not even get Oreo. Source: Nokia 3 received Oreo Beta but this overpriced Xperia L2 will not, despite the same CPU.

  • That video shows that a sub 200$ phone is right behind the performance of a 1000$ phone, the RAM management on Sony devices is amazing. It's obvious that the Note 8 is better, but it costs more than 5 times as much and the performance on day to day usage on the Xperia is not that far behind.

  • your pathetic L2 is low range of Sony and ur comparing with note 8? if u don't know anything better to search carefully before talking.

  • I watched that video and what I saw? Note8 kills L2 easily for all aspects! Speediness, multitasking, camera. What are you try to say? Showing how much pathetic L2? Embarassing yourself?

  • I think this phone is not worth getting with the current price of over €200. I would wait until it gets below €160.

  • Poor you, you probably was afraid to watch the video comparison or you actually did and it triggered you, go here watch it again.

  • You said Note 8 only two times better? Lets do comparison. Snapdragon 835 vs MT6737T. MT6737T same as Snapdragon 617! SD835 vs SD617. 5x BETTER! 3Gb Ram lpddr3 vs 6gb lpddr4x. 3 & 6 = 2x, DDR3 & DDR4X = 3x. 5x BETTER! HD IPS vs 2K AMOLED. HD & QHD = maybe 2x better, IPS & HDR10 Super AMOLED = 3x better. 5x BETTER! Battery = same 20nm vs 10nm. Power efficiency was 2x BETTER! S Pen, wireless charging + fast, fast wireless charging vs nothing. 4x BETTER! Decent 13MP f2.0 pdaf vs Superior 12mp f1.7 dual pixel pdaf + 12mp f2.6 zoom & bokeh = that was 6x BETTER! All I can say, Note 8 is 5 times better, not 2! Price is only 4 times higher, very worth it. Poor you man. Sony has no chance to beat Samsung. You can retired now.

  • You feel it's underrated because you have no idea about the mid-range market. L2, for example, costs 20k in India, while you can get excellent phones like the Moto G5S Plus, Honor 7X, and various other phones for under 15k, which are significantly better than the crappy L2 in every manner. What does the L2 offer for it's price? Crappy old Mediatek 6737T, low res display, subpar camera, ugly design. Nobody in their right mind would get the L2 for that price, when you can get significantly better phones for lower prices. G5S Plus, for example, has dual rear cameras, 1080p display, significantly better SD625 chip, and a lot more. Yes, Sony's software is very well optimized and I'll give that to them, but the ancient Mediatek processor is too slow and that'll show when you try to play demanding games. I get it that you're a Sony fan, but try to open your eyes and see. Even Sony phones wouldn't get this phone (unless you're a blinded diehard fan)

  • When the Samsung Galaxy note 8 is two times better than this phone but for four times the price, the L2 is a very underrated phone.

  • Who said? AMOLED doesn't burn in that easily. I've been using an A5 for over a year, display is still as good as how it was when I bought it. And manufacturers are finally making the move to AMOLED, including your beloved Sony. I hope your opinion about AMOLED will still be the same when Sony makes the move too.

  • i looked up the price point.. for $50 less and for $40 more then this phone costs.. you can get way better phones.. sony shoot themself in the foot with this phone.. Huawei Honor 7X , Huawei Honor 9 Lite, Sharp AQUOS S2 (4gb/64GB).. and lots more... all phones having at least 1080p displays.. and overall better specs.. and that is only in the US.. if you look around on the EU/India/China markets . you will see that this phone in this price range is unacceptable... Sony Xperia L2 is not more worth at this point, considering all the offerings.. is $150... at best.. that display is like a broken leg.. it drags the phone down... the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) cost €30, has 1080p amoled screen. better cpu/gpu.. or the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 for €160-€170.. which frankly also destroys the L2 in any aspect...

  • xperia L2 back body curve model used old of xperia S Lt26i model without transparant line lighting.

  • Please keep yourself updated. Modern OLED screens don't burn in so easily and this quad-core Mediatek-powered phone is more likely to lag than the J7 Pro. No one is forcing you to buy a Samsung. Just letting you know that there are much better alternatives out there for the same or lower price.

  • I love bricks very very much, and it makes me happy.

  • very costly by mediatech processor speed and screen resolution it must be Rs-13000/- only.

  • launched in india for 20k? way more overpriced .for that processer we can expect HMD to launch Nokia 3 2018 for 9k

  • Sony should use helio p23 or p25 in this hh, it should be great and with 720p screen and 3300 mAH, the battery would be superb and fantastic.. At least theoretically.. Who need 1080p in 5 - 5,5 inch? I think 720p is enough for my eyes and of course increasing battery life too

  • In 20 k media tek proceser not gud thing. Screen also 720*1080. Very bad doing sony

  • I wasn't talking about speed/performance. I was talking about update policy because both the L1 & L2 have the same cpu. I was referring to the original poster below.

  • Why should I buy Samsung? After two months this brilliant display will be covered with burn in spots and then two more will be slow as a turtle.Keep this Samsung for yourself. Sony is much better.

  • Well, watch this speed test comparison between the xperia L1 & L2.

  • No, you are wrong. The L2 has the same Quadcore CPU (MT6737T) as the L1 and the same GPU. The only improvement regarding performance is 3GB vs 2GB Ram.

  • Rea Surprised Sony is still making phones, and that people are still buying them. They must love those bezels from ten years ago.... Buy Samsung J7 Pro for less...I bought two already, you can't get better phone for 250 $.

  • Most likely true that's why Manufacturers use the cheapest chipsets like Mediatech because they have no intentions of updating budget phones, Mediatech doesn't provide driver support, E.g. take a look at the Samsung galaxy J3 2016 The Exynos US version recieved Marshmallow, But the European model the "Mediatech Did not. Guys stay away from this tat you could get a Huawei P10 lite for £180 here in the UK whereas this L2 is £200 cus it's new give it a couple of months it'll be like £130.

  • Just checked out the camera performance and it does much better than any cinese junk phones!!!!

  • Note: Quad-core 1.5 GHz may could your phone slow down within most games !

  • This is possibly the best budget smartphone, interesting stuff.

  • For a 230 eur are much better devices on the market with much bigger battery ram better camera and of course no mediatek.

  • Nice price and good specifications (however, the phone has no aptX HD)

  • How can a 5.5 inch phone released in 2018 be 78 mm wide?? That's disgusting.

  • Only £199 in UK

  • Because the L1 was too basic this has much better specs. You're wrong

  • According to some german websites, the L2 will have an entry price of 249 euros. I think the L1 started at 200 euros but its price dropped pretty quick. At least they should have used a better cpu/gpu for the L2.

  • I doubt the L2 will get any major updates. Maybe security patches. It will probably stay at Nougat. Sony has already excluded the L1 from the Oreo update list.

  • I will blame the patents holder, they just got patent but with nothing implant fingerprint sensor at side frame. But I am not living in USA so side fingerprint sensor is the best!

  • Same here i like the side fingerprint, blame the muricans who dont know how to flash int. Firmware to activate FP on the Side.

  • Let's think about practical experience over any trends/hyped. The bezel-less is hard to hold even when taking selfie because there are no place to hold and it has only a tiny side frame can be grabs. But when a reasonable bezel is there then user can grab the bezel and take selfie worry free. The back fingerprint sensor is for some reason the side fingerprint sensor can't be used for one region(USA). I can find atleast it is simple and centered and keep a distance from the camera. However this will never change my mind, I like the side power on button, it is more practical and comfortable and fit when place the thumb on.

  • oh that thick and large bezels. combined with FP in the back. china phones look better than that

  • I also don't like back fingerprint sensor, at least the fingerprint sensor isn't close to the camera lens. It had a NFC in between them, this can avoid miss press the camera lens.

  • I don't like Finger scanner.

  • THey haven't even released the prices of this phone yet, react when it has already been announced dumb...

  • Sony just doesn't get it this kind of sub par models are going to be their undoing Sony should have just sold the xa 2 and the xa2 ultra @ reasonable prices to try regain the customers they have lost over the years missed opportunity again......

  • Bad CPU bad GPU and as a Sony budget phone its price wil be around 300-400. I rather poke with xiaomi A1 for a much better price and specs or Moto G5S plus. This phone was a dissaster even on a first drawing on paper long time before release.

  • Sony is been cheating its customers for a while now. Since from the break from Ericsson group Sony went into survival mode from innovation mode. It has given the consumers nearly nothing useful from the mobile point of view. In that regard Samsung did really well. It really focused on what an average consumer really needs. For an example, Sony keeps on fooling its customers increasing the mega pixel count without really concentrating on the pixel size or aperture size or at least in the software image processing. Result is that 1. Very bad quality pictures both in day and night (Due to very small size compared to other phones and lesser aperture resulting in very high noise rate at low light areas. 2. very poor video quality when compared to other camera brands. 3. very worst image processing technology or at least we can say, very bad steps it is taking in image processing resulting in dull, fade out, over heating, grainy, stutter videos/images. Thought Sony boasts about G Camera, Exmore image processing, Believe me, those are the worst you can get. Sony, hats off to your phone designs. Nothing can go as mindless as those. For your information, Sony top official officially told, they never made phone since 2016 for consumers to buy. They are made just to keep their presence in the market and test their experimental prototypes (Of coarse it's lie that any one had made such statement but so much believable). It's time for sony to give up all the other consumer market for growing companies of china and focus on playstation.

  • Who told you that this phone is $200? I don't know yet, but as far as I know, Sony hasn't made any official statement about pricing just yet. Let's say this will be $150. In comparison, the Galaxy J2 Pro 2018 has lower resolution screen, smaller battery, lower quality cameras, and unlike Samsung, the L2 will be treated with at least one OS upgrade.

  • game over Sony, no one will buy this phone for more than $200

  • I think the new l2 and xa2 and xa2 ultra are very heavy phones because of bigger battery and excellent materials and sony focused in battery life in these phones especially

  • As a huge/diehard Sony fan, unfortunately the design on this is pretty bad... And it's NOT because it's using the OmniBalance/Loop Design, but because it straight up looks weird - uneven bezels top and bottom and that weird-ish rounded back. I still think that the Xperia E5, as far as low-end/budget Sony phones go, is the best design Sony has put out. I guess Sony's going to be using their rumored Mirai design on their flagships first. then slowly-but-surely moving the design to lower-end price categories. Still love Sony tho'

  • phone is everything becomes wow but sony can assemble atleast snapdragon 430 then sony is apsorb our older sony fans and make better phones in 2017

  • looks like a ulefone or something from the back. the L1 actually looked better.

  • 1 cm thickness - nice brick!
