  • Remain, mhl system function with charging, if not charging at same time mhl not connect.

  • They need to change the MHL compatibility, it doesn't have that feature, back in 2014 I wasted $5 on an MHL cable and didn't work. Anyways I enjoyed the phone while I had it, good features and superb quality on the screen, a good first smartphone choise. Only bad thing was the internal memory, just 6gb available out of the 8gb Sony announced.

  • I tried 64 GB without problem. But take note that faster speed SD will not work well. I think i used class 6 microSD (i can double check if you are intrested. Since i no longer use the phone) . I have the dusl sim T3 with only 3G

  • we have the same phone and yeah i encountered same problem as yours especially with the front cam.. when i use the front cam the image becomes green, then i thought it is because of the tempered glass because the edge of the hole is too close to the cam so i tried to change the tempered glass to normal screen protector and ask the technician to make the hole of the protector not too close to the cam's lense... but wtf stil. has the same issue, images turn to green. grrr.. (-_-)

  • Worst phone ever i seen. I think micromax have much better services than sony. When i went for camera lens cleaning. They said we have to change tje whole panel which will cost rs 950. I changed it and just after a month it again come to as it was in previous condition. Also they looted as when i bought my own screw kit and opened this cellphone and when cleaned with a cotton it looks like a new and photos getting captured like a new one. .. So if there's need of only lens cleaning then why they changed the whole back panel .. Just cheaters they are. I will never prefer sony

  • Have used this phone for nearly 3 years. I am so satisfied with its performance except low memory space as of now. Otherwise, amazing display, camera quality, even the front 1.1MP camera's performance is amazing. Wonderful video quality. The best thing is its weight of just 171gms, which feels so good. Throughout three years time there is not even a single breaking of display glass, though it went down many times from me.

  • Buying a t2 ultra in 2016-2017 review: The only thing going for this phone is its display and the sony brand Camera: pictures clicked and viewed on phone are awesome. transfer to pc and you will see all the colours are washed out. The front camera is 1 mp. Even a J2 camera is better than this Battery: Battery from 100 to 50 % drains slow...but after 50 % it drains fast. less than a day of heavy use. Only standby time is good. hence they say 2 days...but on screen time in real its less than a day. Loudspeaker: its sharp...indoors...but not peaceful. its more like Rock ! Outdoors you cant hear anything. Display: Just awesome. But 6 inch is unbearable. 5.5 inch is ideal for video watch. And the ppi is really low...so any video less than 720p is not good to watch here Gaming: The phone does hang sometimes. And due to low ppi...the graphics are so blurr...i hate gaming on this. 6 inch too big and blurr. Size and weight: 6 inch is unbearable. Although the weight is less. i dont like the dimensions and the corners. 5.5 inch ideal size for any phone. Verdict: For some reason i like this phone compared to other phones in this generation. Coz of the display. I dont like AMOLED of samsungs, and LG and HTC dont have good color contrast. (I have used ON7, J2, Mega 2, Grand max, Lg g3, HTC 310, Nokia Lumia 620.) I like LG g3 for camera, ON7 for battery !

  • T2ultra comes in two varieties. Single sim international version is 4g enabled and dual sim Indian version is only 3g.answer is yes you can use jio but you need to install jio app if you have a international version single sim phone.

  • I don't have (much) problem with this phone. I bought this in December 13, 2014 and until now it is butter smooth. What I only hate is the internal memory. It has 8 GB but only half of is usable. The front facing camera is acceptable, but sometimes when I take selfies it turns green. Lol. Dunno why but it started happening when I updated to 5.1.1. Display is decent. Camera is okay. Haha. Performance... Hmm... It is okay, too. But sometimes when I play Clash Of Clans or other heavy games, and when I close it/them, the programs and applications load. And when I go to menu, the applications would still load. So overall, at the start when I purchased this device, I didn't expect that much since this is a middle-range device. I'd rate 7/10 for great display, great camera, and performance. The remaining three is because of low RAM, low internal storage, and green-thing on the from camera. I'm planning to upgrade to Xperia Z5 or Z3+ next month. Planning to give this phone to my sister 'cause she lost her's. HAHA.

  • What a terrible phone, here are the reasons why: - The screen doesn't work AT ALL when the temperature is low, making it pretty much impossible to use from October to May. - Starting up the phone can easily take up to 30min. - Front camera takes horrible pictures - Music plays at a terrible quality and it actually sometimes just stops working for minutes, even though the music is still playing according to the software. - Apps randomly stop working - You can randomly not transfer apps/data to the SD card, causing the phone to very quickly run out of memory. As a result, I have not been able to install new apps since I've owned the phone for three months. - Speed is slooooow. I would never advise anyone to buy this phone!

  • Yes - there is a definite 'cpu lag' feel now and then. But if you root it, try maxing the cpu all the time, - performance may be OK with this, but battery life will be shorten. Very Good Video quality and sound as well. I wish this had a better gpu, the 305 chipset is the only bad part to say - as it may be one of the reasons of the 'lag'. Nice thin phone and really big - 6.0 inch. Got it for $125 @ ebay best deal from 6 months ago. Very good camera as well.

  • Before buying any electronic item, I use to think about Sony.Sony the name because if it's quality only.Last year on 3.10.2014 I purchased T2 ultra dual simply at a price of Rs 22000.In the third month from the date of purchase, I faced a display problem in new Mumbai Kharghar.My display went off. I was not in need of calling to three-four persons wherein I was unable to see these nos because of display problem.There was no option for me to go to local repair service centre.I checked online on Internet about Sony service centre in Kharghar.My. but there was no service centre of Sony in Kharghar.Further more it was taking three to four days to repair this defect.It was shocking for me that there is a poor service of Sony after sales.In the 11th month, it's SD card started unlocking.Again I approached to Sony service centre in clinched. That centre told me that my SD card slot is damaged by external force.And the warrantee is void for this reason.This was 2nd shock for me.I requested to Sony that it is not my fault. But it is your fault that you have used slot of poor quality or your workmanship might be poor.I also told Sony that how can a person will damage it's slot externally by paying Rs22000 for procurement.But SONY didn't listen to me.Further when I enquired with local repairing centre, they told me Sony has purposely designed the SD card slot on its motherboard so that when there will be problem, you have to change the mother board at cost of Rs 7000.Whereas with other mobiles like Samsung it was easily available with Rs 300. I just learned a lesson that now I should never buy a product of SONY.The big chitting company with a big brand name.Remember this can happen with anyone.People should always think about running brands like Samsung or another local brand like micromax as these brands may run atleast two years without any defect. Next month I bought Micromax mobile costing Rs 7000 with all the facilities with internal memory of 16 Gb as against Sony mobile internal memory of 5GB.I request to all, think more before going for the big brand like SONY .But go with running popular brands or with other brand having similar features of low cost so that you will not repent in future if any thing happens with your mobile.If any one needs I can share my communications took place with SONY.

  • Seriously? Your phone hangs? I have been using Xperia T2 Ultra since December 23, 2014 and it never hangs. The only thing I hate in this device is the camera functionality at night or dark scene, it doesn't take good photo in the dark. You will have to be very steady to take photo without too much blur in the dark. But on daylight, photo quality is good. It is very good. Anyway, with the hanging problem, I always clear cache and misc files. I don't think it would lag if I don't clear it. Just take a good care of your phone.

  • This is a torture equipment disguised as a cellphone, i had one, broke it with my bare hands 3 months after buying, from the start nothing goes smoothly, you see that it has nearly NO MEMORY and sometimes the touchscreen freaks out, on top of that, you feel that its underperforming, after a momth or so, things get really interesting, it starts to shut down, touchscreen starts creating a life of it's own, it freezes 50+ times a day, stops responding everytime you try to use it and many, many more weird stuff. Also, it's impossible to run ANY game without the cellphone bugging and ruining everything and the camera, apart from sucking, takes at least a full minute to open, STAY AWAY FROM XPERIA T2 IF YOU VALUE YOUR MENTAL HEALTH

  • Really I don't write too much anywhere but here I would love to write because many users complain about T2's heat up, low memory, low storage bla bla. I am using T2 since 10 days and I don't find any single issue. yes, its low mem but there is a solution. Just use sd card and move many apps to it with the help of built in app manager. Regarding battery life, I used sam's note2/3/4 and believe me T2 has a better battery life even at heavy use. Watching movies the best. Playing my fav 8ball thumbs up. front cam is low but rear is fine. its not getting hot bla bla. Like it if u agree with me. Thanks

  • Go for C4 as it has better screen resolution, cameras and storage compared to T2 ultra or C3. I had a T2 ultra but it had some issues after the lollipop update so I bought C4, which is really a great phone.

  • Hi, I experienced the same thing after the upgrade. I followed the instruction to factory reset the phone but I am still having lags and constant restart. Not until i experimented with a few things.I won't drill down the details but I am pretty sure all of you have tweaked a lot in your settings. Here's what I did. 1.) I turned off the developer option, which at first I thought will help by turning on and playing with the settings 2.) disabled some apps which I really don't need and use. After doing those simple steps my phone remarkably performed very well. I am not using any memory booster or cleaner anymore and I can multitask, I don't need to cancel or close apps for the phone to function and not hang. By the way with the Google apps, I removed some, the only google app left is google+, hangouts, gmail and playstore. It worked for me, you may want to try it. I am now satisfied with this phone. I hope this helps.

  • Once you have done the Lollipop upgrade do a factory reset. This works every time. My phone was slow after Lollipop upgrade so I then done factory reset and its fine.

  • Factory setting is not something that you need to install. Just go to setting and look for factory reset..then click reset

  • After I installed the Android 5.0 Lollipop Update it has become really slow, hangs a lot but some improvement can be done by turning of the 'vibrate on touch' option in the settings. but still sometimes bcomes slow but it is now far better than before. Try it.

  • Go with the S4 because E7 is good but low processor power. T2 is rubbish it only has 1gb ram. If you are a heavy user go for s4 if you are a light user go for e7

  • Since you are using too much cpu,the device gets hot meaning that the temperature inside the device goes high,and as smartphones are not like laptops in case of having a fan to be used to cool down the device,you need to stop putting too much pressure on the phone so it can cool down,as a solution i recommend you to buy xperia phones which are waterproof so that when it gets hot you can keep it under water for a few seconds then you are good to go again

  • a very good phone for everyday use. fast and the battery life is ridiculous long. The main problem is the internal memory is only 8GB and the android OS will eat half of it, and including the default app, you will only have about 3GB internal memory.

After the update: 1) Loss of 500 MB of internal storage 2) One handed operation notification dropdown becomes useless.Cannot access with one hand. Close all app button also placed at top right corner, cant access with one hand. 3) Important Punctuation characters( brackets, colon) cannot be accessed by holding button on front screen of xperia keyboard. 4) No option of 'adapt to lighting condition' below brightness slider in notification bar. 5) Materialistic design & home screen notification. Don't update to lollipop, you will loose important features just to get design makeover of materialistic design. Stick to Kitkat.

  • I'm using T2 Ultra for about 4 months and Im pleased with it. Its a good value for the money you pay for it. Its a very good phone, that comes with Sony experience (those who had a Sony before know what i mean). I wont go to details (i know everyone has its own preferences - i had phones from 4 different producers, but at least now this one fits my needs). I had some issues before buying, but... Its a big phone and that comes with some troubles (where you keep it, who it looks when talking to it etc.), but some advantages also (a big screen - you can enjoy a movie better, or a game). After all, you wheather like it or not. I do! The screen resolution, even thow its not FullHD, its enough for everyday "user", you wont see spots or miss details. 1GB RAM! Enough! FB and the rest are hardly using half of it. I play WOT and it works just fine. There are games out there that will probably put this phone in trouble. Camera its good, but not very! But here i have a big disapontment, becouse when you want to make o movie, the field narrows pretty much, it lack of luminosity and loses focus quite often. Im hopping for an software update to fix it... :(

  • It's problem becauce your charger didn't have antimagnetic and static device. So your touch screen panel disturbing by electromagnetic field generated by the charger. I suggest to use other charger and the guiene ones. It's always happen in the device with capasitive touchscreen.

  • This is worst phone I've ever use. The front camera is totally out,it is too sensitive, only at sunlight you'll get a clear pic.It hangs a lot. The phone itself is too sensitive as you cannot use if you use it at outside under sunlight which is too hot.

The sony service is sensational, i earlier had some problem with screen but sony people rectified it. They are customer sensitive. I own sony laptop as well it works flawless. I am a big sony fan.   • I bought my xperia t2 ultra around may 2014. The fornt camera is a huge dissapointment. It's extremely noisy in darkor even indoor environment.i suggest you yo get samsung a7 insteaf since it's just released and offers better spec along with similar price tag. Xperia t2 is great especially in terms of battery life. I don't need to bring power bank everytime i go outside. That said, tge major dissapointment of this phone is tue lack of internal storage. It is jist not enough for to download multiple hd games

  • Nah. It's normal. :D Mine also takes about 1-2 seconds depending on the scene. If it's in darker scene, it will take much longer like 3 seconds. But in the daylight, it will take 1 second. You don't have to worry about that. :D

  • This is (was) my problems with this phone. 1. Walkman app constantly close when playing music. But now, a new update has been released and this problem is solved. 2. When I am done watching a video on Youtube, and I select a video again, it doesn't play. And I will have to restart the Youtube app again. 3. I cannot move large apps to SD Card. Even though it says it was moved to SD Card, and when I checked it, it didn't. 4. Sometimes keyboard and back key is not working. 5. Rear camera and front facing camera is not that great at night scene or in the dark area. But the camera is completely fine in the day. 6. About the design. The back of this phone is very glossy and it's prone to scratches and finger prints especially when you get the black or purple version. I recommend to put a case and screen protector.

And I put a screen protector. And yep, the RAM is only 1 GB, but it is Ultra fast. And the CAMERA! You are very wrong, sir, about the camera. It has very good quality camera.   • Just bought one. Very satisfied with the battery performance. Also, do not update to kitkat if you have no plans of rooting it for the battery life will be compromised. The camera is good if your on manual mode. I prefer camera fv. Superb! All-in-all, this is a must have phone. Better than my Xperia Z and Z1.

  • Battery is very good. It lasts for 2 days if you are not heavy user. But for a heavy user like me, it lasts for 1 day. But it does not totally drains your battery. For example it is 100% in the morning, then I played like Clash of Clans or Asphalt 8, 7 PM it is 20% or 30%...   • I am a user of Sony T2 Ultra. Rear camera is very good in the day, but in the night or darker scene, it is not that good. Front camera is awesome, though there is lot of noise at night scene. Performance is awesome. I can play Asphalt 8 at Medium graphic setting. Battery is very good, I'm a heavy user but still happy with the battery performance. Its size is very nice, it is more fun to play and watch movies with the 6 inches phone. Display is great.   • Front camera is pretty decent but not spectacular considering the fact that it's 1.1 MP, but still does the job well. As far as internal memory is concerned 4.42 is available out of 8 GB, but with the last update (4.4.3) you can move the applications to sd card without any problems, overall a very good phone to have.

  • Front camera is pretty decent compared to other mid range phones which normally have vga cams, for me it hardly makes a difference as this is a kickass phablet.

  • Well, for me it's a good phone, if you want a big screen phone for watching videos or playing games then it's perfect in terms of battery which is really awesome, call quality is great, speaker is not that loud, camera is pretty good (but not as good as Z2/Z3), front camera is ok, does the job for Skype, it's sleek & a bit light considering the size, memory is only 8GB but you can move apps & games to sd card with the latest 4.4.3 update. Rest is upto you to decide afterall it's your money & decision, simply visit a store and check it out and other brands too (for 24) if you have any on your mind.

  • Cameras are pretty decent but you can't compare the quality with Z series as they�re far better, but still the cameras take pretty decent photos, there're a lot of options to choose from so you need to adapt according the lighting conditions, overall it's a nice phablet with pretty good call quality, massive battery life, although it has only 3.89 GB available but you can move the apps to sd card so that's a big relief.

  • I've been using it for a week, using sony's case for T2 ultra which i think it's a good combination. Mine is dual SIM. For me the build quality is very good for the price ($240). And i think T2 ultra is the best compare to similar model. Performance is awesome, almost no lag, good battery performance which i can use it for almost 2 day battery life with quiet a lot of use for Call, messaging, social app and watch video. Screen is good enough, camera is fine for me ( not using it a lot ). Note that i'm not using a heavy apps that use a lot of memory or gpu.

  • Please keep in mind that versions of phones can very from country to country, so I'm speaking only of the US in my case. Just checked the specs for the HTC Desire model 816 - that model is for Virgin Mobil only, so it is pretty useless unless that is your carrier. Remember, carrier portability is more restricted here than elsewhere and you must carefully select your phone as in the US we are all subject to the carrier cartels. The more comparable models spec for spec to the T2 Ultra here in the US are the HTC Desire Eye and the Desire One E8. For for unlocked and no contract, the phones are listed at the HTC website at $549 and $499 respectively (FYI, I do not consider contract phone prices, as they are artificially low). Don't take my word for it - check out the information here: So, sadly, everything considered, including price and carrier portability, this is not a better option than the Xperia T2 Ultra (at least not in this country). If the "better" specs mean that much, be prepared to spend a lot more than the price of this phone. I have better things to spend my money on. ;)

  • This is one of the best phones EVER. And I do not use hyperbole. Given the price for features provided, I DARE anyone to find better. If you do, please post the link so I can see it for myself.

  • I just purchased this phone for a family member (model #D5316), and had the opportunity to work with it while getting it set up for their use. This phone is AMAZING. It came out of the box with about a 50% charge, and I purposefully did not charge it just to see how long it would last. After several hours, it was STILL going strong on the initial charge, even with web surfing, etc. The screen resolution looks GREAT (tested with HD videos), and the phone is very fast and responsive. It does come with a lot of apps preinstalled (including Sony-specific ones) but none of the bloat you'd see with carrier phones. Rooting this phone would allow for some extra clean-up, but again, out of the box, I have no major complaints. A little-advertised (well, not at all advertised at least here in the US) fact is that this phone is the rare pentaband phone - it works equally on AT&T as well as T-Mobile. We get 4G LTE with BOTH carriers, and again speeds are VERY fast. The only thing I do not like is the non-removable battery (meaning it would need to be replaced at a shop if needed). That usually is a deal-breaker for me, but for this phone I made a rare exception and I am so glad I did. The price point relative to quality is quite exceptional, and right now with the pre-Christmas sales, you can get even better deals. I got this phone at $199 USD on Black Friday. There are some complaints I've read elsewhere about the resolution, camera quality (it is 13 MP but pictures not as good as on other devices with same pixel density), etc. Compared to an $800+ phone, that could be very true. So, if it means that much to you, go spend that kind of money. OR you could be smart, buy THIS excellent phone, save a HUGE amount of money, and laugh at all the idiots who blew theirs on the latest toy. :)

  • Check the System Updates. You'll need to install Pc Companion and download the almost 900+MB Firmware 4.4.3

  • You can use office suite, same function as windows office

  • @kelly, the S930 didn't have otg support which made it a no go for me despite the attractive price. The T2 ultra is ok after the latest firmware updates which fixed most of the camera issues.
