Vodafone Smart speed 6 - User Reviews

  • I have a problem in unlocking my phone I've forgotten my pin code and some logged in with their email address now am lost please help

  • Unlocked the bootloader in Developer Options.

  • i also thought that it cant be rooted but i did that first using kingo root for pc then it was successful but i then used the mobile kingo root app 5 times until it was successful

  • The name refers to the 4G connectivity.

  • I'm having problems rooting this phone. Any sugestions?

  • The name is baloney. The phone is actually really slow in real world usage.

  • I have been using this phone for two years now I problem with apps. I can't update/ upgrade them anymore. Email isn't working either. It seems playstore is a problem. This phone says no connection even though I have data bundle.

  • Thanx

  • It's not a copy of an Alcatel smartphone, it's an Alcatel, but created to be sold under the Vodafone brand

  • please i wanted to update my vodafone smart speed 6 it has stop on the way and is not caming on completly again

  • Please I bought my Vodafone vf 795 around June las year. My battery is 1780 mAh and my internal storage is about 4GB. I wish to find out if I can get a battery with a higher mAh than this

  • those phone are manufactured by ALCATEL

  • Copy of some sort of Alcatel phone

  • just press power button and volume down at same time.

  • please help, how do I take a screen shot with this phone. messages, whatsapp, screen shots?

  • The phone (new) cannot work on ugandan networks and demands for some codes to open

  • Why u lying?

  • The battery is removable. Not like it says above.

  • Is it open to 2degrees network

  • Piece of crap. Never buying another Vodafone marketed phone ever again. For $89 you get a phone with a severely underpowered processor and glitchy display that randomly restarts itself whenever it feels like it. Battery life is decent but that's about the only upside to the device. Went back to using my Samsung J1, as Samsung knows how to make a reliable device at least

  • My wife and I bought a phone each about 5 months ago. Both phones have increasingly performed badly vis a vis battery losing its charge overnight while on idle. The phone has been sent back to Vodafone on several occasions and no improvements have been made. I guess if you go cheap, you get cheap.

  • If it can play Pokemon go fully, could you do gym battles without it crashing? I'm being certain, sorry

  • Yes you can but witgouth the RA mode

  • can you play pokemon go with it

  • I had my smart speed 6 for about 3-4 months until this thing came up and i pressed 'ok' by accident the last thing i saw was power off or shut down after a couple of secounds my phone turned of itself. help me.

  • how to answer call, sometimes answer icon appears at top. normally a spinning circle appears,.....?????

  • Recently purchased this unit and what i can say is stock android is smooth no lag and the mediatek 64bit processor is non heating its effecient on 1Gigbite ram average of 200mb ram free even on heavy usage and battery lasts overall great device, thumbs up

  • Yes this phone is only a Ghz but it does have the newer 64bit cpu rather than 32 so has double the processing power and with 4 cores that's pretty good. What lets most phones down is the software and the camera is terrible being fixed focus rather than auto focus

  • The battery is removable, as the sim and SD cards are underneath the battery.

  • click and hold the google bar until the delete icon shows up at the top of the screen

  • how do you get rid ov the google task bar from the home screen plz can ANYBODY help me Cheers Pops

  • vf 795

  • Scree is not IPS. It is a ver bad TN screen, with a very slow response time.

  • i just love the device especially for that price

  • i just love the device especially for that price

  • Seriously.... You have to be working for Samsung.

  • best example for "you pay less, you get less" sub-mediocre screen, mediocre perfomance, medium battery life. unusable camera - not only without autofocus, but with very bad artefacts and weird color reproduction. not even remotely reccomended...

  • It's pretty descent device for this price.

  • To open the back to insert SIM, battery and optional microSD: start at the lower left corner (facing screen). There is a small notch, pry open the thin, plastic back. To replace: just snap it back on, you hear it click in place. Note: this phone is mechanically similar to Alcatel Pixi 3 (4.5) for case and screen cover, battery?

  • Vodafone V-795, Smart speed 6. For US$40 (NZ$60) as purchased at HarveyNorman NZ, including NZ$29 Vodafone SIM it is a great, cheap phone. You get 1GB/8GB, quad core SoC, Android 5.1, LTE (4G), GPS, 4.5" screen, removable battery, micro-SD slot(up to 64GB works for me). The camera is less than stellare, but adequate for snaps and WhatsApp. I keep it in the car: great for Navigation, GPS is good, even has a compass. Usable in emergency even without SIM. 4.5" is a good size; any smaller is hard to read, any larger its hard to carry. (I have owned all sizes). Good first phone, spare phone, and for Android beginners. Not a trophy phone but great functional value.

  • How do you open a new phone to insert battery and sim card

  • The battery is removable, you have to put it on first

  • can you give me the model number of this phone cuz i need model number please

  • It does have a removable battery as I have just put mine in upon purchase today!!

  • Please amplify re the 5MP camera. You say it's not!

  • I think it's a great option, considering the low cost.I have not faced any kind of issues(hardware/software) so far,and i have to admit,it carries a very powerful wifi card! The only negative is the rear camera which is considered 5.0 MP,but its not over 3MP... And of course, there's no available root technic...

  • Can anyone help me my LTE service isn't activated please help

  • have had to reset twice in first 24 hour of owning, its not looking good! and not charging very well either

  • this phone needs a serious update, message vibrate doesnt work and google search bar keeps disapearing and option to change wallpaper when u hold on home screen is not there any more apart from that its ok for £40

  • vodafone is taking care of this phone just received an update many manufacturers couldnt even be bothered with that

  • Don`t opt for Android at Vodafone. Wait for IOS in Vodafone. LOLZ....

  • After coming from flagship phones its no shock my review wont be the fairest. Its solid made but still feels less than budget in the hand, although it almost stock android its jam packed full of vodaphone bloatware that is not needed and hinders the all ready over driven CPU and the small amount of ram, After a good clean out of all the vodaphone apps i found it to be a little faster and the UI is smooth untill you start running background multitasks, WHY vodaphone have made the text app all about them is horrific and its better to root your texts via the google hangouts app to avoid the pointless ram eating and very anoying pop ups. The camera is shocking to say the least but will take a picture good enough to be viewed on the handset or of a meal to make your mum cry that your mates mum cooks better grub. The screen is enough for doing normal tasks but you can see the lower spec when trying to read text and view pictures, internet browsing is not very good and you feel how slow CPU is working when loading pages and if you receive any calls or messages the phone clearly cant cope and becomes slow and glitchy In reflaction they could of done a little more at this price but for a very low end phone it does the job, calls are clear and signal is great! simple games work fine and its good to check social media, its very good as a first phone,a back up,going out in the mud or for kids as its built like a tank and can take a few knocks and at the price and be easy to replace if lost or broken, if this is your only option at this price then grab a bargin but if you want a grown ups phone or something for the advanced android lover then hold on to your cash and save up for something far better

  • i loove this phone it is way beyyer than all the other phones ive had and the camera is soo clear and very good just dont know what music apps are recommended for this phone

  • ...Released 2015, October !!!

  • It`s actually a pretty good phone, considering the specs it has. I bought it an year ago and it worked just fine

  • can't download my music from the computer without an account as with other phones, if so I would like to know if such an app is available?

  • Its a basic phone. What do u expect. You will need the ultra 6 if you want higher end specs

  • So Vodafone smart "speed" 6. Yeah..... speed, with a 1.0 ghz quad-core Mediatek cpu and 1 Gb of ram. On the other hand the cpu and gpu don't have much work to do because it has a stupid 4.5" 480x854 pixels screen.

  • pathetic 5mp camera, 1gb ram and 720p video when calendar shows 2015!!!
