ZTE Axon 7s - User Reviews

  • I've had this phone for 6 months. I had to get the Kaspersky Battery Life App to control the auto loading of Bloatware that zaps the battery without warning. The battery power control sucks bad, as it shuts down the phone anywhere near 56% or less battery. Or, anytime you restart the phone. Or, anytime the phone has been in Airplane mode too long, It decides it only has 01% battery and goes into limp mode. The designated, Qualcom charger requirement is bad as well because it doesn't accept an external battery recharge well. So, the apps sap the battery, and the power manager can't figure out what is going on unless power is connected. I would not buy this phone or recommend it to a friend. The Qualcom power control and charging is as bad a feature as well. If the power issues were not so bad this could be a good phone, with a better camera and more sensitive GPS receiver.

  • Hi all Those who have used the phone, will like to know the following before i buy it. 1.Do the phone heat when you are browsing and when playing games like Dreamleague does it heat so much? 2.on switching data on the whole day can the battery manage?

  • Rumors are predicting Oreo for August 2nd. We'll see after 5 days.

  • I was a big fan of ZTE 2 years ago, but that was 2 years ago. My phone is still stuck on Nougat even though ZTE promised in Dec. 2017 that we would get the Oreo update by April; 3 months ago. More important, I used an app that checks security updates and there are several security patches that haven't been installed even though ZTE claims they were. That blatant lie was enough to completely shake my trust in any Chinese phone manufacturer! ZTE phones pose a HUGE security risk IMHO.

  • It was available in China for government officials only. But if you look hard enough you might find some online for about £450

  • I like thes one

  • Calm down, GSMArena is probably just too lazy to update every single little spec on every new phone.

  • No Stereo Speakers such a dealbreaker.

  • Where can one buy this device

  • Only 4 GB RAM versions for sale?? They announced 6, and even the Axon 7 had versions with 6GB RAM already.

  • The device is finally available on aliexpress. Just placed my order today!

  • No OIS like the previous Axon 7 No EIS No Dolby Amos No dual stereo speakers 24-bit/192kHz audio, downgraded from 32-bit?? WTF ZTE??

  • Because ZTE can't make good sales. Plus YouTubers will review it if it is a good phone

  • Its weird that this phone was released in June but I still can't find it being sold on Aliexpress and can't find any reviews about in on Youtube!

  • There are hundreds of phones here man they are human they cant update everyting without fail

  • A very nice looking phone also good stats i like it. But here in Slovakia we dont have this brand for sale.

  • Kirin 960 is on par with the 835 in performance

  • Was looking after Axon 7 for a while,in my country cost about 550$(incl.2+1year warranty)for a 4/64gb version and gold only(!?),on Aliexpress almost bought it for 345$(incl.custom&taxes) but with 1year chinese warranty.New Axon 7s costs 700€???Good news ZTE,i went for Xiaomi mi6,was 450$,it rocks, better in almost every way for 300$ less.

  • Yeah.....the ZTE marketing idiots haven't put any of the info even on their own website. So, goodbye ZTE. Who the f*** is going to bother.

  • Half the time these guys don't even bother updating these spec sheets unless it's a Samsung

  • How true are these specs? Because no Gorilla Glass, no Stereo speakers and no NFC?

  • Look behind your iPhone, shit, its chinese..Besides the cars of the 60' 70,us quality has Been shitty since the 70's..so You would go and buy a Levis jeans...electronics Are an disaster..ok iPhone 3was the last time its was hurray

  • I have been using my blade S6 for 18mnth so far it's trouble free. The sound so nice espciaily when u connet the ZTE original earphones .it's give marvelous sound I m. Looking forward to buy the axon7s good job ZTE

  • Secondary camera 12 mg

  • No stereo speakers and no Dolby Atmos? WTF ZTE?

  • Huawei did their Mate 9 like that, and I think its Kirin 960 is close in performance to the 820/821.

  • Good advice, but not relevant to this phone.

  • R.I.P., Verizon support...

  • For those who are thinking the speakers are gone, fear not. The picture doesn't do justice, but the new speaker grills are designed with an immense number of small holes in them that it is difficult to see them at a distance/ in a picture.

  • i agree with you. because the axon 7 is already most probably the best price to performance flagship killer, and this axon 7s is even better.. but in this, the specs sheet list of the gsmarena, its not clear what about the fantastic dual stereo seakers and about the backlight bottons. but most probably is because gsmarena still needs to updated more. i m looking really forward for this zte axon 7s, and because as i said, the zte axon 7 is already the best value for money phone so imagine this axon 7s

  • But bro, Did you read the Disclaimer down Below the Specifications ? " Disclaimer : We can not guarantee that the information on this page is 100% correct " Is Computer or Mouse are you Using ? isn't there a Scroll down key ? or you know how to Scroll down ?... wahah .. Jokes bro .. Just don't Rely fully on Papers

  • THERE ARE FRONT FACING STERO SPEAKERS I had the Axon 7, and this (7s) phone has the potential to be one of the best. Only if they added backlight to the navigation buttons, or at least give us the option to have on screen navigation. Until then, I would steer away.

  • Where do you see that, neither the pictures or specifications display dual speakers? What glasses have you used for seeing this?

  • Sometimes I gotta wonder how these companies run their market survey. At this size I wouldn't mind FHD, 2GB less RAM down to 4GB if it means a bigger battery instead like 4000mAh. It's shocking that only HP Elite X3 and Leeco Le Pro 3 did their Snapdragon 82x phones with 4000mAh batteries.

  • There ARE stereo speakers...

  • Are you kidding me Zte??? Hello! Front facing stereo speakers!!!

  • Will there be released a global version? This looks like a release for the asian marked. Not full network support for Europe / Scandinavia... :(

  • They would better use sd835

  • Dear Stander7, Look closely, and you'll see it. And no, they didn't remove them.

  • Is this really the Successor of the old Axon? It's missing alot notably Front Stereo Speakers!!!

  • DEAR ZTE Front STEREO speakers is messing.

  • Yes you're right and so i agree with you, but most probably is because it is new in, and so the GSMArena team still needs to update the specs sheet list more in depth/ detail.

  • This variant will not be marketed to the public. ZTE is keeping it for their corporate employees only.

  • Eagerly waiting for an Axon 8 over here....

  • Front facing speakers??? Any kind of speaker for that matter, I don't even see an earpiece.

  • For what sake is the dual cam? By reading its specs I felt like it's Huawei-ish

  • We are in the 6GB of phone RAM era

  • Phone looks great for good price it could be really awesome. Not like some so called flagships with similar specs and twice or three times higher price.

  • Dolby Atmos audio enhancement, etc.

  • Well, the ZTE Axon 7 was (and still is) already an excellent great value for money phone, overall, a true flagship killer, at only $399 and even less. Now we have this new Axon 7s, and it has some considerable upgrades: SD821 instead of SD820, 6GB RAM over 4GB, 128GB over 64GB, Dual Camera setup, 20MP + 12MP Over single 20MP, and even a slightly More Battery juice. So specs wise it is absolutely even more better than before. But then, what about the sound, the dual front facing stereo speakers, Atoms, etc ? And hopefully this won't be instead of an Axon 8 with the SD835, etc.
