Apple iPad 9.7 (2018) - User Reviews

  • You can transfer photos and pictures via computer. Install iTunes or iAmazing or you just need to plug your cable in and I recommended the iPad Air 3 more I owned this iPad

  • Hello guys, I have never used apple products but this time I am planning to buy this tablet instead of android one . My biggest fear of buying apple products is that you cannot transfer photos, files and movies from USB or PC. Can anyone please help me out in this matter ? Thank you.

  • o2?

  • Yay!

  • yes, but it supports IpadOS 13 that will be launched next week

  • Which ipad would be best this one or the ipad mini , I'm confused as 128gb ipad 2018 and the ipad mini 64gb are around same price in my country, My usage is just media consumption and some office purposes only not for gaming

  • I think it doesn’t support ios 13, no update from my ipad yet

  • Yes, airpod works for this Ipad as well..

  • Club Red. Or from that options Club Navy

  • I'm gonna buy this tablet with an Apple Pencil 1st gen and Beats by Dr. Dre Solo3 Club Collection. Can you give me a color advice: Club Navy or Club White?

  • Yes

  • It'll get iPadOS

  • no. from ios to ipados

  • Does this support fast charging? 18w or 15w or something?

  • Do AirPods work with this tablet?

  • It will have 1-2 yrs warranty just take it to apple

  • İ neither used this tablet heavily nor scratched/dropped. And here is what happened. There are horizontal lines on my screen. There is a really serious hardware problem. İt has been 7 months since i bought this. Model number :A1893

  • Of course it can. All voip phone apps available on the AppStore plus all the voice call apps from all the social media companies work perfectly fine on the iPad, and even better on the cellular iPad since you aren’t limited to being on wifi in order to use those apps/features.

  • You are clueless. Of course it’ll get iOS 13. And 14,15,16,17,18, and possibly more.

  • You take it back to the Apple store is what you do. It’s fully covered under warranty still and they’ll just replace it with a new one.

  • here we are talking about the ipad 9.7 2018 edition and not the ipad 2.

  • Yo yo peep dis one time - got a call off ma mobile provider offering me this model of iPad - 18 quid upfront and 25 a month - bargain. Gets thru the credit check - tell me I gotta pay a deposit of 375. Red mist descends. Can of carlin sent flyin. FUMIN

  • the battery life on ipad 9.7 2018 is truly amazing!!!!

  • I’m sorry to buy this garbage, I tried to save my favorite videos for offline view but it frequently restarts even after downloading almost 99%. I will replace it with Samsung soon.

  • I bought one for last month. The screen is high detail and good colors. Battery life as well lasting until 9 hours. What’s the good i choiced !

  • Completely false. I have it and the opposite of what U wrote is true in my device . I don't know if something is wrong with your device .

  • do not confuse iPad Air and iPad 2018 lol

  • Awful, extremely slow; it can’t run SimplePlanes very well, and Touch ID barely works. Battery is garbage.

  • Yes, it's fine for digital drawing. However, you may want to buy a Paperlike screen protector to make the drawing experience feel more like paper, rather than glass. If you are a professional artist, you may also want to think about the iPad Pro models, as they have a better drawing experience.

  • The Home app is used to control smart home devices such as Philips Hue light bulbs, smart thermostats, ect. Unless you connected any smart devices to the Home app, your iPad should be perfectly fine.

  • I read a few questions so answering them 1. Home app is used to control home automation. If you do not have a smart bulb or lock then no need 2. Apple iPad 2018 supports Apple Pencil well with pressure sensitivity as well. So it is pretty awesome for designers as well.

  • Can anyone tell me is this device good for digital drawing?

  • What is the use of Home icon app on iPad? I have deleted the app...does it affects?

  • This is my first Apple product.i own an ipad 2018. I was surfing on the net and it suddenly went white screen . I tried reset but nothing happens. There is no even a scratch on my ipad. i wish i had not bought... I dont know what to do :( System version:Ios 12.3.4(i am not sure of it) device model:A1893

  • Indeed. iOS is better than Android.

  • I bought this four days ago and for 299€ tablet it destroys the Android competition. All my previous similarly priced Android tablets never got any updates so im not going to waste anymore money on those, and this device is really smooth. - iPad 2018 has 2gt of RAM but is faster than Android tablets with more RAM. - screen is really good for the price. Superior to similarly priced Android tablets no doubt about it. - Software is really good and I got update to ios 12 right away, with Android tablets I rarely got any updates Be it os or security. I predict iPad OS going to make this even better.

  • It will get the new iPad OS.

  • Nope

  • This tablet support otg (for connecting flash)???

  • iOS 13 support for tis device

  • no prob

  • Any storage problems?

  • Yes there is heating issues when you play pubg, but game will run good, so dont need to worry.

  • Is there any heating issue when u play heavy games like pubg?

  • I think that this tablet is of good quality. I don't lean towards any side of loving or hating it. I use it to make midi remixes of music and to add drums to my guitar songs. It works well enough, but is not the most powerful tablet in its size range. That said, this is the only iPad with GarageBand and good-quality audio apps for mixing. If I had an Android tablet, it would not work well for my audio editing, but would probably work better for other uses.

  • The fact I can make calls annd receive calls from iPad logged on to my sprint account is amazing I don’t even have to be home... I can give my cell phone to my wife and we both can make call from my number

  • Anybody making (music production) and playing music (synth/midi/keys) on this? How it goes?

  • i bought ipad 9.7 6th gen. It is very good for its price range. using it for 9 months no problem till now.

  • It is avaible on amazon

  • Shall I update it to iOS 12.2? Please I need users experience.Thank you.

  • Yes. 20GB will be free for use.

  • 32 gb of storage is enough for school purposes?

  • You don't have to get an android. I am still really happy with my iPhone 7 which is around 250 € used.

  • 2018. It's the same price as 2017 but has pencil support and is quite a bit faster.

  • You can use the pencil on the newer one which is nice

  • Guys i want to buy an iPad. I need suggestions which one i should buy 2017 or 2018 model. I am an new user for iPad, so please suggest

  • Sorry, you're wrong, you could never make calls on cellular ipads. Never. It is not a mistake and you must'nt have known since you seem concerned. The cellular ipads are only for data, and you can the sim from your phone can work but also a data sim from your carrier.

  • I use this ipad for pubg...and its heating so much...

  • The cellular version can't even make normal cellular call. This is always a thing in every iPad. You can actually do it by using your iPhone to transfer the call, but it eliminates single usage of iPad. That's why I'm sticking with iPhone only.

  • You can get a cellular version mate

  • Why do so many folks want to get an £800+ phone to flaunt with when they can get a budget android and this ipad for around half the price or less

  • good and affordable nice work

  • Well Apple could actually make iPad do cellular call, but they don’t because it will hurt iPhone sales. They can make iPad having Mac OS-like interface, but they don’t because it will hurt Mac sales

  • One thing about me, I do not buy Apple products because it's too expensive for what you get but, this iPad is cheap and worth the price ($ 269) The design is slim and beautiful Very good battery The operating system works fast without any blasts High-quality loud speakers with bold basses Sharp and clear screen This is not the most satisfying thing here, it's the camera and the operating system that blocks options that, for example, on Android devices can be done

  • I don't like that comment very rude

  • If you are getting it for browsing the web, reading ebooks, pdfs, etc.. emails, social apps, watching movies, videos (as long as you don't store everything), 32gb version would be more than enough for you. At least for me, it is. And I use my iPad for the same stuff I mentioned earlier. It's a lovely tablet, you won't regret your purchase

  • Hey, i might get my iPad by tomorrow. It's 32GB, how big is the iOS? And do you think that 32 is enough for non-gamer like me?

  • What you're saying doesn't make sense because that's exactly what I was talking about. It's an iPad, it can't be a phone

  • Because they want iPad to be iPad. Not to be iPhone or MacBook

  • Well damn i couldve saved about £100 doing that, didnt even think of u.s amazon 🤦‍♂️

  • I got this when gsmarena advertised, that on Amazon they are 229$, using a mail forwarding service, for another 10$ i got in in Europe. Insane price/value ratio :)

  • Because some disabled people need to use a large phone or they can't use a mobile phone. Unfortunately there are still lots of people that are unable to naturally risk asses for a disabled person without saying that they need training,

  • Why would you want to use such a huge device as your phone? You can just get the WiFi only version, and use skype, Google duo, facetime, and many other social apps

  • Battery life is noticeably better on iOS 12.1.4 Did anyone notice that? It's much better than 12.1.3

  • Can a cellular iPad also be used as a phone with the right app?

  • The camera is good enough for an iPad since what kind of human being takes photos in an iPad, of course it's bad. Okay. For the price it's offering this is a must. With a single core of 3482, sure it sounds not too much but trust me on this one. And the multi-core score is 5932. Even it is faster than iPhone 7+ and the iPad pro 12.9 inch 2015. I mean you can't complain about what you are getting for $300. And the battery score is 5229. Which is incredible since the highest score is 8292 from an iPad pro 12.9 2017

  • Is the camera good ? How is it compared to midrange and bidget smartphones ?

  • 300 usd is a good price for a tablet that can definitely last at least half a decade, in the uk theyr around £300-320 which comes to around 400 usd. You guys are lucky you dont have to pay taxes on apple products. I have the 2017 ipad, almost 2 yrs in with heavy usage - never updated to ios11 and will try and use it for at least another 4 yrs

  • I thank God for using this beast.

  • I don't agree that iOS is buggy. I mean, yes it isn't perfect. But is it worse than Android? C'mon! As much as I love Android for what it offers, it doesn't come close to iOS when it comes to smoothness, stability and overall experience. Android has a long way to go to catch up. And I'm not hating on Android. I use an Android phone, and I love it.

  • Depends on what you want a tablet for. But still, I'd say this one is more than enough to do the job and will save you a few hundred bucks. Unless you need a tablet for 4k video editing, or other hardcore stuff (pros do these better of course), this one would be more than enough for you for browsing the web, emails, social apps, media consumption, facetime, etc and it can run all apps on the app store. It's got a gorgeous display too. When it comes to gaming, I'm pretty sure it'd be enough for you, though pros are better at that indeed. I decided to go with this one and I don't regret my decision one bit. In fact, it saved me about 300 bucks.

  • Is this tablet worth buying? I've been considering this or one of the pro's but with pro being so expensive I'm considering whether its worth spending the money on or just to go for this standard model.

  • Pocophone costs $300. It's doable. It's my first Apple product too, I've got to say many say the only good that comes out of Apple are the iPad, and I agree with them. Very nice hardware, iOS is egregious though. And as buggy as Android, which is surprising considering Apple's reputation on software stability.

  • I haven't said this tablet is bad. I am suffering about battery life. It is really great tablet.

  • It's a no-brainer. Galaxy Tab A 8 inch doesn't hold a candle to this iPad 6th gen. Galaxy Tab A is simply no match for this iPad when it comes to performance, display, build quality, speaker, battery life, pretty much everything. This iPad is superior in every way. But Android and iOS are two very different operating systems. If you have never used iOS, it might take a few days getting familiar with the OS. And if you do end up getting the iPad, (though it's a personal advice), don't update it to the newest OS, when they come out. Because updates tend to slow down Apple devices. I know there are many who would deny it. But it's a fact, I've experienced it. So I know I'm not wrong

  • Just want to remind you that this ipad ONLY costs 300$. the cheapest Ipad ever so far. You are expecting its performace to equate Ipad Pro or any tablet that cost 800$ and up?? Seriously.????

  • I would prefer ipad. Galaxy tab has less resolution, and worse processor. Even if you watch film or surf on the net, it will lag soon. I use ipad 2018 and has a great screen and great speakers. No lag on the net.

  • can anyone give me advice between the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.0inch) and the Applie iPad 9.7? I don't do gaming or movies. I just do Email, IM, internet, pictures. Advice appreciated on which to choose.

  • I m agree with u brother

  • 5-6 hours of gaming shouldnt be anything to fuss about

  • Do they solve the battery problem with new updates? Sometimes it drops %5 within 5 minutes.

  • Ios 12.1.1(16C50)

  • What iOS version are you on?

  • When the device is plugged in and charging, and I touch the home button, I feel a very mild electric shock. It's very mild, a tingling sensation. My iPad otherwise performs normally, charges normally, discharges normally, doesn't heat up when I use it, or when I charge it. Everything else is fine other than that. But yeah, I do feel it. Only when I touch the home button when it is plugged in and charging. Is it just me? And is it normal?

  • Battery life is bad, when i play pubg for 1 hour, it drops %100 to %80. I used LG G PAD 10.1 and got 15 hours screen on time and still getting good results. But this battery life of ipad is disappointing.and When you surf on the net, it doesn't heat. But when you play game like pubg it turns to a fire ball which is bad. Screen :8/10 Battery: 5/10 Speakers:9/10 (you can feel the basses :) ) Build quality :6/10 Gaming performance:8/10 Camera quality for tablet:6/10 Touch sensitive: 7/10 (it doesn't recognize nail, but no issue at all) Charging time :5/10(about 3 hours from 0 to 100) Wifi range: 9/10 (it is really good) Multitasking :8/10 (opens almost all applications in the background) And It is my first apple product, i am an Android user.

  • I felt in love with my iPad and no one can separate me from it, hahaha.... Thank you Apple.

  • Yea, it has a big battery.

  • 32.4wh or 8827mah. I’m not the buggest ios fan but this 2018 ipad (I own) big battery basically last all day with good performance & long term updates which I can’t say for any other tablet in the market.

  • how about the battery design capacity for this ipad 6th generation ?

  • I updated it the day I got my iPad. I haven't faced any issues. Its buttery smooth and battery life is also good. I have PUBG loaded on the background and few tabs open in chrome. Everything seems to be in place. RAM management also seems good.

  • I'm wondering how long iPad 2018 takes to charge from zero all the way up to 100% ?? Today I plugged it in and it had 45% of charge left. I checked the time, it was 4:47pm. When I unplugged it at 6:57pm, battery percentage had climbed to 96%, so it took my iPad 2 hours and 10 minutes, for its battery percentage to move from 45 to 96. 130 minutes for a 51% increase. I wonder if it's normal?

  • S4 is good but it will be full as soon as possible and start freezing..ipad don't. android is best if you buy new every year or after 2 yrs. waste of money.

  • You mean in Horizontal mode? Like Instagram app, you can only use it by Vertical mode all the time

  • great device

  • Buy iPad, New Photoshop capable of things that you Could make on PC in 2019

  • Same here. Amazing display

  • Or if anyone else has installed iOS 12.1 on iPad 2018, has its battery life changed? Please share with us

  • Thanks. I've seen countless claims that iOS 12 is better than iOS 11 when it comes to performance and battery life. Ok, I think performance would be more or less the same on iPad 2018, because it's a new device. But battery life? Do you have any experience with iOS 12.1? How good or bad is the battery life?

  • Stick to that ios, its pointless to update unless youre already having issues with the current ios. I got last yrs model and updated to ios10, wont risk updating anymore - its only 32gb so no point in wasting memory just to play fortnite like a nerd

  • 32&128gb

  • I have purchased this iPad 6, or iPad 2018. And I am loving it, it's a very capable device. Display is gorgeous, and everything is very smooth. Non-laminated display is not an issue at all. I have used laminated screens before, and I was worried that I might not like it. But this iPad has a gorgeous display. I need a suggestion. Mine shipped with iOS 11.4.1. And it's working perfectly fine, it does everything I got this iPad for. My question is, should I update to iOS 12.1.1? 1) How will it affect the battery life? Will it be worse? 2) Will it affect its multitasking? On iOS 11.4.1, I can multitask easily. Tabs in Safari don't reload, and can have multiple apps in the background. Does iOS 12.1.1 change it? For the worse? For the better? I am looking for honest answers. Thanks

  • What is capacity on this ipad ?

  • So, it'll be easy for me to use Photoshop on it? As it is my first time to use Tablets at all.

  • You should go for iPad 2018 iPad has great apps which with pencil are awesome. I myself is using iPad 2018 128gb

  • May I ask you why the Tab S4 will be good for me? Because it's an android system and will be ease to use but the iPad is IOS or because iPad lagging?

  • dude go for the tab s4 its great and better than the ipad

  • Thank you :)

  • So, using Photoshop will be ease at this iPad? It's the first time for me to use tablets.

  • I would personally buy the iPad 2018.

  • i believe both ipad 2018;and ipad pro 10.5 will be great for your needs ... both are able of be used by apple pencil so that is a great deal .

  • Hi, I need your recommendation because I am going to buy one of these tabs ( Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 10.5 or Apple ipad 9.7 2018 ). I need it for my work and I will use some kind of apps like Photoshop, all Microsoft accounts like word, excel ... etc and Facebook pages, also will use YouTube and gmail. So, which one will be ease to use at anytime anywhere? Thanks in advance.

  • using this unit since one week and i am more than satisfied with that except some minor isssure below : the main keyboard is somehow to short in high so in my opinion i would like to see if i could adjust the keyboard high in the features. the battery life is great . some apps are still not optimized for ipad and that is a little painful because than i can't use my ipad in vertical position at all time . overall it is one of the best tablet i ever use so far .

  • How does this iPad 2018 perform on iOS 12.1? Is there any lag, anything at all? What I want to know is, is 12.1 as smooth as 11.4 was, on this iPad? And has 12.1 affected it's battery life (even slightly)? If I purchase one, will it come with 11.4, or 12.1? Thanks in advance. Please answer my questions honestly. I'm considering buying one. Thank you

  • This iPad is an amazing deal for its price. I would argue that this is the iOS device that gives you the most bang for your buck. It is able to do anything I throw at it with ease and I use it for a lot of gaming and streaming. Also the size of the lithium ion battery in this is 8557 mAH, slightly down from the 8827 mAH found in the 2017 model, except this should not be abig concern because they still get around the same battery life which is likely due to the fact that the Apple A10 processor in the 2018 model is more efficient than the Apple A9 processor found in the 2017 model. Anyways if your considering buying this, it is totally worth it!

  • Try to play with PUBG Mobile also buddy. This ipad recommended for user seeking a better performance and affordable to have.

  • If you are looking for a better performance, yes, its recommended to buy. And for me its more affordable to have a new ipad 2018.

  • If you're intending to use it for everyday tasks such as gmail, word, etc. the normal iPad is fine. If you're looking for something that can handle more intensive things such as photoshop and video editing. The normal iPad can handle the latter two tasks, but don't except to be multi-tasking and switching between multiple apps or it will slow down.

  • Play Asphalt 9 perfect!!!

  • should i buy ipad 2018 or ipad pro 10.5? this time i used ipad mini 4

  • My ipad 2018, 6th generation 128GB has a little low sound through the speakers especially when playing YouTube videos. Is anyone experiencing the same issue?

  • While watching or playing, the waiting icon suddenly appeared then the screen became black. Then when u press the power button, the ipad was locked but i didn't lock the ipad. Then when i unlock it, the apps were closed. Anyone experiencing this? It is because I haven't still updated the ipad? My ipad is still on IOS 11.

  • My ipad 2018, 6th generation 128GB has a little low sound through the speakers especially when playing YouTube videos. Is anyone experiencing the same issue?

  • This or iPad pro 9.7 2016 better for fortnite?

  • So, you are an android user, tell me more about your expierence, please; because android tablets in note taking is not as good as ipad, that what I concluded. Do you agree ?

  • Talking about the latest iOS 12.1 (features, etc.) and especially the Files app which platform/device do you think has a better, more open & bit flexible file management system: an iPad Mini with iOS or a Google Chromebook with Chrome OS? (in relation and comparison with the more robust & more flexible Windows File Manager system).

  • Got this iPad earlier and it is a beast. Not bad for the price. The camera is decent but do not expect too much. It is just that A10 is worth every penny. Not too expensive. Works excellent!

  • The camera is okay. Just like iPhone 5s/6 camera. Only downside is the low light performance. It is bad. Don’t expect $329 iPad for a great camera lol.

  • can share their experience on the camera of this ipad

  • how about the camera?

  • I have been using this ipad for note taking the last few weeks. Can't beat it. I don't like any apple products except this ipad :D

  • Is the sound through earpodes on ipad 9.7 2018 as good as in iphone 7?

  • tab s3 or ipad 2018 in note taking ?

  • 2gb ram, lol.

  • They should launch one with 16:9 ratio

  • IPad for tablet and Note 8 is a real good combination. I use the same. I needed more flexibility on my phone so have remained with Android. Best of Android phones as on date is Note8/9. Best of tablets as I have experienced is iPad. Best of both worlds.

  • I got last yrs version and it can last around 11-12 hrs but 50% brightness and not if youre gaming. I think it takes a little longer to charge but i never updated to ios11

  • I am an iPhone user, two MacBooks and in general I could say I was an Apple sympathizer for many years. This year I bought an iPad 2018, and I am so disappointed. It was the worst purchase of the year for me. This device is pretty expensive, but their greed doesn't end there. They force you to buy/pay more and more, if you want it to be functional at all. You cannot have two accounts on it. I need one account for me, another for my girlfriend. If you need that, you have to buy two iPads! I have an Apple Magic Mouse, which I wanted to pair with it, to use it more like a handy laptop. Nope, you cannot do that, because they don't offer you a mouse arrow! Now I need to print some ticket I purchased on a site. I have a printer attached to my lan WiFi router. No, I can throw it to the ocean, where all other plastics will end, because now I need to buy and AirPrint device if you want to print something! Apple was once a great idea because "it just worked". But with this iPad expensive useless gadget, they crossed the line. I promise I will never ever use anything from Apple again.

  • 4-5 Hours from 0-100%. Best money/Performance tablet. Bought it 3 weeks ago and it is just awesome for multimedia. 8-10 hours of screen on time.(i have The only wifi version)

  • how long it will be fully charge?

  • i prefer buy the wifi only, beside its cheaper, i dont like to have many SIM card, so if i want to connect to internet, use wifi hotspot or looking for wifi

  • if you're using iphone, get the ipad

  • Can anyone let me know I need to buy iPad 2018 or huawei m5 pro? I’m using iPhone 7 now

  • Can anyone let me know I need to buy iPad 2018 or huawei m5 pro? I’m using iPhone 7 now

  • 6th gen has better benchmarks for both single and mutli cores. I doubt there is a noticeable difference between them. I play bulet force on ipad 5th gen and it has no issues the gameplay is smooth. Dont update past ios 11 though, benchmarks have been proven to slow down after updates.

  • Should I buy a cellular iPad or a wifi Ipad? And why? Thank in advance.

  • Which is better for gaming, iPad 6th Generation with A10 chip and 6 core graphics or this iPad Pro 1st generation with A9X and 12 core graphics?

  • This is really good for the price! it's the best tablet for gaming, school, study and more! And the apple pencil is really good for the tablet :)

  • May I ask, what is your main reason for getting the tablet? I have iPad, iPhone android tablet and android phone. Maybe, I can help you choose.

  • If you are an android user then you shouldn’t buy ipad, because your android phone isn’t compatible with iPad. If you want to use ipad than you should have an iPhone also. But ipad 9.7 is better than any android tablets. After all, if you wish to use ipad than I recommend you that, you should buy cellular iPad for more features. Thanks

  • Thanks But as I know the Huawei M5 pro supports pen & already includes the e-pen in the package, concerning the battery I don't know its performance. Any other opinions?

  • I personally for the iPad for one main reason: it can run the Procreate drawing app. I don't know how Huawei tablet performs, but I discovered that iPads can really run more than 10 hours on one charge! The only down side to owning iOS devices as an Android user is buying the needed accessories like extra lightning cables, a lightning to USB flash drive to transfer media between my devices, incompatible wireless mirroring to TV unless you have an Apple Airport connected (thankfully my work place has those on TVs).

  • I have note 8 & I am regular android user, now I want to buy a tablet,I am confused which to buy: Ipad 2018 or Huawei mediapad M5. Kindly if anyone can help me in the decision concerning performance, expected life span. Thanks

  • That statement just doesn't make any sense at all

  • about gaming on your brand new ipad look it has 220.000+ points on antutu benchmark..so hell yeah it can run everything like a true beast.

  • i think that you shouldnt worry because i had that same problem when upgraded my 8plus to ios12 just let all apps install and restart and fully recharge your ipad and no more worrys i had battery drainage like 10% at 10min but now it s just fine..hope i helped!

  • I updated to iOS 12 on my iPad 6 and the battery drain is so fast like never before. I’m deeply concerned.

  • Takes about 2 hours for it to fully charge and it lasts about 10 hours on one full charge.

  • How many hours until this ipad 9.7 fully charge?

  • Tbh is not bad for €370 it’s fast it really has good multitasking and everything

  • Still loving this. The front facing camera is awful though, and while it's not a deal breaker, i'd take smaller bezels.

  • Best tablet in the market today! Because I own one and loving it.

  • easily. i own this and i have tried fortnite and it is quite smooth. pubg is also smooth on this device but much smoother on my oneplus 5t. although i am an android guy but gaming on ipad(not iphone) is one of the best things ever.

  • This IOS device not Android device and yeah it can since my mini 4 can run fortinte.

  • Can this keep up with Fortnite? I mean the RAM specs of 2 GB? Thanks!

  • Thanks for your opinion it's really useful

  • Is this good in gaming? Like Rules of survival?

  • I doubt it is and even so itll be a very trivial difference thats not easy to detect. Not worth over 1.5gb to play some fortnite

  • Great phone and nice specification, thanks Fiverr review

  • the cellular version of the iPad does.

  • iOS 11.4.1 is faster than 10.3.3 and 9.3.5 because of faster animations. iOS 12 Beta is already faster than 11.4.1 because of shorter loading times, not to forget much faster camera access from lockscreen and Keyboard popup.

  • The ipad 2018 should meet your needs, no point in paying over 300 more if you just want to do basic tasks. In regards to the "support" youre talking about, there have been a lot users of ipads and iphones who have confirmed that their device has slowed down more and more with the introduction of new updates. This is partly why i havent updated my iphone 6s its still on ios 9, and i dont think I'll update my ipad 2017 past ios 10.3 However if i had more storage (iphone is 16gb and ipad is 32gb) the furthest i would update is to ios 11 and thats it. So unless youre always playing the newest games like fortnite and whatnot, theres no point updating.

  • Ipad should have SMS features aside from IM and iMessage

  • See iPad Pro is little bigger than ipad9.7 , and the configuration seems to be the same, but it depends on your motive of buy too, if you work you need a pro, if you study buy ipad9.7.

  • easy go to a store and look at both of them. also pencil is the least required thing for your needs that you mentioned.

  • Hello guys I am a little lost and wondering if I should get the ipad pro(2017) 10.5 inch or the ipad 2018. Owning actually an ipad mini I find it a little difficult to picture the ipad pro in real life and worrying if I get it, It would turn out to be too big. My usage consist mainly of watching seeries ,videos some reading music and a very little amount of games. Which is the best option to me? And which is the best deal considering the amount of money and the support that each device will get plus the lasting performance(over the years)? Ps: is the pentil that essential to either of these two for a good usage?

  • Again, the $400 price difference does not compute to the slight improvements that are NOT so perceivable. I did an hour long comparison between the Pro 10.5 and the iPad 2018. The .7" difference in screen size is practically nothing to write about. The twice more screen refresh rate is not a huge issue - 60Hz is already so good. I can live with the 2GB RAM for the next 5 months till I can get the updated 12.9 Pro ($1200+ for the higher specs that I am willing to pay for). Bigger screen means better drawing area, but not getting the current one because it's getting a refresh this September - so, it is logical to hold off getting one till the announcement. Yes, the smaller form factor of the 9.7" is handy, and fits exactly in my tiny Pacsafe sling bag. I would also agree the 10.5 Pro is a good size - for regular users. I've started using a tablet more often now than my Note8 when I'm home, or sitting down in the cafe doing some casual drawing/sketching. It is fantastic with Procreate!

  • You didnt need to go into detail like that, the pro 10.5 should do; screen size almost perfect for drawing, ram is top notch and screen is probably the best of its time.

  • I didn’t get the Pro 10.5” because the difference doesn’t justify the $400 extra with almost the same screen real-estate, no apparent parallax that can bother me when drawing. I wanted the 12.9 but there will be likely a refresh this October. It takes another 2 months for it to arrive in my region (December). I can’t wait that long (5 months) to finally get the hardware that works with Procreate. I’m cheap-skating on the iPad Pro 10.5, but I know I really want to get the 12.9. For the meantime, I could live with the smaller maximum 33 megapixel (8,192 x 4,096, 2 layers) limitations on the iPad 2018, versus the 67 megapixel resolution (16,384 x 4,096, 4 layers) with any of the Pro because they have 4gb RAM. These are the maximum limitations if you go for higher resolutions with Procreate. As for the higher storage memory capacity, I actually need the space for my 60+ GB (1000+) worth of architecture and art e-books and pdfs; video recording of my Procreate processes in 4K; and utilise storage for media entertainment without the need for internet connection. 128 GB seems to hit the right spot at this time as well. So far, I am enjoying the Apple Pencil with Procreate and learning the basics of plotting perspective drawings with snapping grids and rulered lines. Just the thing I need. And if indeed the new iPad Pro 12.9” will come with 6GB RAM, I will think 100 megapixel resolution over the current 67 mp would give me a tremendous boost on making more elaborate, more impressive drawings/paintings for the next 3 years. I think that’s worth the wait.

  • Ok but didnt you settle with this ipad? Thats 2gb ram, im sure you can still draw gothic things with that bro

  • The drawing app Procreate offers more resolution pixels and layers when an iPad has more RAM. While you regular users don’t need more RAM, we do.

  • Why you need so much storage and ram? 3-4gb ram is perfect and 64gb space is enough. Even the 2gb ram on my ipad 2017 is ok (for now) but im thinking if i update to ios 11 itll just get slower

  • Taking a second look at the 10.5" iPad Pro and comparing it with this 2018 "budget" iPad with Pencil, I do not see a significant reason for paying at least $400 more for increased memory space, and increased resolution because of the more RAM is better off with a bigger screen. So I was looking for the 12.9", and shops have stopped stocking them. I suspect this is due to the eventual refresh this coming October. So, I settled for the iPad 2018 128GB, for an additional $100 than the 32GB version. This is until I get the upcoming 12.9" Pro refresh this coming October. I would hate it if I bought the current one and Apple made the refresh with a probable 6GB RAM and up to 1TB space.

  • Right now I'm using apple ipad and it's a really good product for me where its battery condition is very Good. Easy to open and its applications are much easier to access and its sound and display color quality is very good. apple ipad ram 2gb any application you can open it fast i can help you this phone will be good for you i mean here i am talking about apple ipad here you can browse your internet faster via wifi. Apple iPad's camera is 8 megapixels but its video resolution is very good so you can easily use it as a youtube creator for uploading videos to youtube. But I think Apple iPad could have a product like Radio if it could be better. The apple ipad has its own sound system, its sound is not high, so I will not say very good sound, but you can hear its beautiful sweet voice through the headphones. apple ipad is a really good service, but its price is a bit more. If you have any problems with apple ipad, you can solve this problem by contacting the company like {applesupportnowdotcom}, which will be a lot more helpful for you. With my own opinion and ideas I can say apple ipad you can certainly buy and if you are a fan of fans of Apple. Call : +1 855-707-0673

  • I enjoy using the Pencil. For more than half the price for a set than the 10.5" Pro, I sure as heck don't complain about how the glass is "more slippery" for the Pencil. It goes glides good on the surface on the screen. Perfect for those long lines strokes I want. Overall, I'm thrilled that the Pencil performs as well as the iPad Pro version. I've tried the Pros, and I don't remember those having less slippery screens. I'm already selling this 32gb to get the iPad Pro 10.5 512 GB because I have finally realized I need something with a higher memory capacity. I am skipping even the regular 128 GB iPad. I thought I needed the 12.9 but that would have been very difficult to carry around.

  • Out of interest, how is the pencil? I heard the display makes it a little more slippery than what the Pro offers.

  • I'd take yours back If I was you, or to an Apple shop. Mine's perfectly fine.

  • Funny. I fell in love with the Apple Pencil having the best response with the Procreate app over a year ago. Procreate is not on Android that does 90% of what drawing with Photoshop can do. The S Pen is great, and I have bought the S Pen of the Tab S3, however, Autodesk Sketchbook on Android just can't match the intuitive interface of Procreate. My main reason for getting devices are those that will aid me in drawing and painting. Apple and Procreate offer the best experience on a tablet. I have saved up and was waiting for the iPad Pro refresh, but, trying out this ordinary iPad with the Pencil integration at HALF the cost of a Tab S3 is just too enticing to pass. It's making me rethink about why would I be using the Galaxy Note for my drawing studies prior to my actual artwork on paper. I will eventually get the iPad Pro 12.9 512 GB. The 9.7" is convenient to carry, but the 12.9 will be something to use for very serious pieces and commissioned work.

  • Oh no! You were supposed to destroy the Sith, not join them. :P Ok theatrics, aside... I still can't believe you of all people would use iOS. I thought you would wait for the Tab S4 with S-Pen, which finally brings back the widescreen ratio to a flagship Samsung tablet. I was sure you would also like the upcoming Note9 with 4000 mAh. But price-wise, I must agree the iPad 9.7 is great. But still, maaaaybe you could have gone for the Tab A with S-Pen, for your students.

  • Bad pad ....need more ram...with sim... .....no more in popular.....

  • I am officially an iOS user with this iPad (32 GB) mainly since it has the Apple Pencil integration. The Pencil integration and the Procreate app just nailed it to finally get this for some drawing, and replaces my old Note 8 of 2013. The resolution of some 5000 to 8000 pixels is more than enough for sketch studies, and I am just enjoying the experience. At more than half the price of an entry iPad Pro, I'm convincing my school to get dozens of these for my students to draw with.

  • I think i will stay with my ipad air 2 because its still perfectly fast and design of ipad air 2 more thin than new ipad 2018 display is good and there is no airgap betwen screen and lcd😉😉

  • Im still using my old ipad mini and lg g pad...both works perfectly but i like more my LG G Pad because of the screen display.....i do not like retina display....

  • I have this Ipad since 3 April and I'm very pleased with it. I have even jailbreak on it, because I kept the 11.3 ios version. Mainly I use it for Procreate app along with Apple Pencil. It is cheaper then Ipad Pro, but a good substitute.

  • 0 to 100 in 3.5hrs? Youve timed this? When it comes to battery life and charging speed i think its just down to pure luck, i assume that apple also recycle batteries and whether you get a recycled one or brand new one is just down to chance. My 9.7 2017 ipad charges in approx 4 - 4.5 hrs

  • I have nothing against your opinion, I myself can't use any apple product besides the iPad, I even use to android devices, an LG G6 and Sony Xperia Z5, but I also use an iPad 2017 9.7" and I know for a fact that either your device is faulty, or u are just trying to discredit apple, because mine charges from 0% - 100% in no more than 3hrs 30 mins at most. Your review isn't correct, and I just want to point out that..

  • I got this for almost 4 mos and unfortunately there is already discoloration of screen...

  • read again. its his opinion.

  • You won't be disappointed, but don't expect a massive leap forward for tablets. The iPad 2018 does its job as expected, but uses technology already in place a few years back in Apple products which is why the price is reasonable. A smart move by Apple, as it knows that a lot of people are still using tablets from 5 or more years ago, they simply do not get replaced at the same rate as smartphones, hence the decline in general tablet sales. Spare the top tech for the Pro series. Price wise, and with the future support offered, you can't buy a better tablet for this price.

  • i ordered one, 32 Gb wifi.. i dont like apple or ios, but apple make best tablets, now, these 2017 and 2018 budget very good deal for money.. i have ipad air 2 in house, it is an old device, 2014. with newest ios 11.4 lags here and there..

  • Probably this one. It's performance is way more that Air 2 hence it will last longer. Has Apple pencil support and is overall much better.

  • Does really work great on gaming

  • This one or Air 2?

  • You kidding me? Best tablet?

  • True. That's why i dump my samsung. Now, i am no longer buy apple. I buy ios, and look for anything fit my budget. Anything not loaded with ios is not worth a penny, even if the price tag is lower.

  • best ipad ever best tablet ever ( for me)

  • How can you compare a tablet to a smartwatch? You cant do half the things on a smartwatch. I doubt that audience is as thin as you think though, i think the audience is growing. The demand for conveniant handheld devices which can do more than a chromebook can is always increasing, not to mention the demand for mobile games. I think therell always be people like me who will always overly enjoy current/future mobile games which share some aspects of cod: waw, medal of honour, san andreas etc, the good ol days

  • Well, I don't want to be rude but think logically for a second. Why do tablets still exists in 2018? Of course they have an audience otherwise Apple, Samsung and Huawei will not produce them. But that audience is so thin you can see right through it. Maybe If you are a professional or a true fanboy, or in last case just full of money and you don't really care how much you spend on your gadgets. Otherwise tablets are just gimmicks, is the same scenario like smartwatches.

  • Do tablets still exists?

  • then , hows that samtab 3 goes ? did people know it exits ?

  • I like how Apple is called out for using inferior technology (that it specs and designs itself) when it also uses its own In House OS. Android is free. It's cheaper to tweak a free OS for your device than build your own that repeatedly aces benchmarks

  • update 11.4 nice ipad6 very nice for gaming uses...

  • So many exaggerations, unworthy of a reply.

  • Wow chill out bro thers no need to write a dissertation, at the end of the day everybody has their own preference and needs. I use ipad 2017 9.7 heavily for over a year now and rarely any issues have occured if at all.

  • lets do a comparison shall we: Samsung Tab 3 launched March 2017, This ipad March 2018 Screen: Super AMOLED 16MColors, ipad 2018 still using 20+ year old LED...LOL Camera: Yes people use it 13MP/5MP, ipad 2018 8MP/1.3MP...How do you video conference with a resolution from 1997???? LOL Pencil: Samsung Included, Ipad 2018 $100 You said cheap? Let do math if you can. Samsung LTE $600 & Decent Case = $640 Ipad 2018 LTE $460 plus pencil $100 plus case $600 (ipad cases rarely $40 fyi) Battery Life: Easy Tie My S3 still gets 10 hrs of video over wifi Battery Charge: S3 fast charger 5% to 100% 4 hrs with 50% in 1 hr Ipad2018: Well this is a fact, it takes about 18 hrs. I know because my wife has one. Storage: Mine has 32GB w/64GB added which came with it BTW. Ipad 64GB, you do not want to know the price for the 256GB version...OMG If you don't work then $330 iPad is not bad but you are paying for inferior technology. Only thing that works great is iOS and the processor combo, my parents and my wife like Apple because its easy. Its like a 70's station wagon with a 454. Fast and easy to drive. I need split screen and video conference on the go. Just can't do that with the iPad. I'm not a hater since we own an iphone 7s, ipad mini 4, iPad Air 2, Macbook Pro that was $2800 and this new addition, all my wife's.Me S9+ G-Tab 3, HP Spectre 360 2-1 4k Touch, Asus ROG (back-up laptop) G-75s. Tech on my side is incomparable because they all use different processors, screens, GPUs, RAM. Apple is the same tech different shape! Besides the Mac Pro which has the same specs as my spectre minus 4k touch and m.2 HDD, but for $1300 cheaper!! Its about preference and value. This is MY opinion so don't respond with anything but your own OPINION. Please be logical and don't say "no one uses the camera". Why would Apple include Facetime preloaded, or Bloatware as you call it if no one uses it? Prove me wrong. Just some other fun facts. I stream and control anything to my Samsung Tv and LG with $55 Chromecast 4k HDR. And there is plenty of content on Netflix & Online. Ipad....lol

  • Under $300? Where? I can't find it for less than $329 wifi only, add data and jumps to $460 and does not come with the pencil, thats another $100. Add a decent case and we are at $620 or $680 (cases with keyboard) plus easy. What are you talking about? Cheap? Whats with the 1990's front camera for facetime 1.3Mp??? Seriously

  • for me i have the ipad and to be honest its really worth buying the camera is good the processor is super fast the battery is long lasting and its support apple pencil

  • for android devices? yes 2gb ram is unusable but you cant deny that iOS is different beast when come to RAM management.. i mean look iphone X, its still using only 3gb ram and yet it can manage many app/games easily. Also i look up gaming review for this ipad and damn it can run many games that i interested very easily compared to any android tablet in same price range.

  • Why not? Apple Pencil Support, new processor, or is it because it's not an Eastern made product like the new Samsung Tab that's coming out?

  • There's no point for a review anyway

  • Still no review, yet they are all over the next Samsung tablet.

  • how long will it take to fully charge the battery???

  • you need a LTE supported (sim card) ipad model to install whatsapp. In just WiFi model you cannot do that.

  • The battery life is very good but the charging sucks so bad. It takes forever to charge this thing with the given charger.

  • Can anyone advise if I can install WhatsApp’s in this lpad. How?

  • iPad 9.7 battery life is superlative, the best of every mobile device.

  • Great product indeed! Really fast without bugs. But the battery.. how long it lasts?

  • Really love it with apple pencil.....its work great for a budget tablet...good job👍🏻

  • great product

  • Purchase one as working tablet are great.

  • You knew it isn't unusable if you used it

  • Good on apple for decreasing the price of their tablets. Lets try and see a new mini with an A10x chip next year for 250 gbp or a 9.7 one. Ill get a 2nd tablet no doubt

  • The battery is the same as prior ipads, 32.4Wh, which is huge. Just update the description.

  • I take it you don't use demanding tasks.

  • Stop nagging about ram, apple is more optimized to handle less ram than android.

  • Take the idea he is has conveyed, not the grammar. 2GB RAM? Lol. This is already unusable.

  • "Won't be usable"? Lmao, go do some reading, kid.

  • Let's talk in 12 months from now. I bet the device won't be usable due to its absurd specs and greedy Apple will surely slow it down like previous devices. Good luck with that buddy.

  • Haters gonna hate "The screen is awful" when 4k content isn't even readily available for most. "Not enough RAM" - uneducated Android fans "Old Technology, Apple sucks" - Tablet still outsells every other on the market "Poor camera" - lol, who uses cameras on tablets. "Apple products are so expensi.....oh"

  • This pad is good....I just bought one nd he ever regretted

  • What do you expect for a freaking tablet. The highest PPI for tablet now is 350 There are no tablet has a higher PPI than that...

  • if it could text and call even if not connected to mobile internet, it will be perfect.

  • Apple transfer the role on Ipad 9.7 to education sector. The edu market on the world are very big business opportunity.

  • whats with the crap ppi?? 2008 want it screen back! Should at least be in the 500s

  • I got last years model and its super fast! Even if it only has 2gb of ram, it handles apps as good as my pixel does because of how light iOS is. Battery is great too. For the cameras... who the f*** uses cameras on a tablet lmao Tbh for that price I think its a bargain

  • At that price, finding a windows laptop with the same speed and power is impossible. Thats why people buy Apple. I dont like Apple but I bought one of these because there is nothing that directly competes it.

  • The Pro 9.7 is better overall, but the iPad 2018 is much cheaper.

  • Still my i pad pro 9.7 is best.

  • No more inspiration from Tim Cook..

  • I never realized this would be such a piece of garbage... The only thing it's got going for it is the processor... The screen is awful, it's only got 2 gigs of ram, and it's only got 8 and 1.2 megapixel cameras... I don't know how big the battery is but I'm sure they cut corners on that too. Even for 300 bucks this isn't good.

  • Apple managed to trick you as well. I don't blame you - They are really that good. 2GB is be the bare minimum TODAY. It's certainly not even near-future proof. As always, in a few months from now, they will be releasing iOS updates that will slow down the device significantly to a level that will force you to spend money and upgrade your device. They have been doing it for many years and will continue doing so, despite of the recent device slow down scandal. Good luck.

  • It is weird that they allow physical keyboard on a touch screen device. - tell that to touchscreen laptop also It is weird that they allow stylus on a touch screen device. - how about samsung note? It is weird that they still use aging A10 on an iPad. - it still faster than most android device , and how come u call it aging when its only years old It is weird that they did not upgrade iPad mini 4. - because they more focus on pro It is weird that they have no haptic engine in iPad. - what for ? u want ur ipad vibrate also ? It is weird that a sim card enabled device cannot make call or send sms. - thats not wierd at all , its more weird when people make call with tablet . people still using sms ? we got more alternative for message like imsg, facebook , wechat , as long it got internet *thats what sim slot for . dont tell me people still using 1990 phone ? It is weird that it's camera have no flash, or no upgrade at all. - theres ipad with flash but nobody care about it It is weird that Whatsapp have no native app for it. - blame whatsapp

  • $300 ipad for rich student ? seriously ??

  • Ipad Pro is faster and has better screen, but it is more expensive

  • Yeah. Thats enough for apple ecosystem. And its a budget iPad which gives you almost everything an Android tab can't.

  • Show me one better tablet which can draw illustrations with oen or pencil. I'm a Designer and I want to demonstrate my work to clients. Please let me know there's any tablet which has good color accuracy and screen resolution and butter smooth performance under 300$.

  • What?? You want to make hoardings or cutout with the selfie?? Or you just want to share via social media/skype video?

  • I've used a mouse on an Android tablet. It's the only way to write long essays of more than a couple of hundred words. It's faster than having to reach over and touch the screen if you are using a physical keyboard with the tablet on an independent stand, as I do.

  • It is also weird that they didnt designed the same features as an iphone x screen design after it released 10 yrs anniversaries too.

  • new ipad for (rich) student, for standard student keep using your physical book

  • It may be Apple clear stock before new outlook launch?

  • It is weird that they allow physical keyboard on a touch screen device. It is weird that they allow stylus on a touch screen device. It is weird that they still use aging A10 on an iPad. It is weird that they did not upgrade iPad mini 4. It is weird that they have no haptic engine in iPad. It is weird that a sim card enabled device cannot make call or send sms. It is weird that it's camera have no flash, or no upgrade at all. It is weird that Whatsapp have no native app for it. But of all the weirdness. There is one thing that is not weird: Apple wants your money, while doing the absolute minimum.

  • Isn't it weird to have a mouse on a touch screen device?

  • Never been hacked??? where were you in 2016-2017 when apple iclouds are being hacked? Ipad email exchanges from Warner bros top execs leaks? Celebrity scadal leaks? Come to PH, Malaysia or Singapore where stolen iPhones can be unlocked and hacked.

  • not an apple fan but IOS is certainly much cleaner and secure, to be fair apple's never been hacked.

  • Prices depend per region and that "About 350Eur" is estimated price. That's why there is "ABOUT".

  • If you can't connect a Bluetooth mouse, it's useless to me. Why allow a physical keyboard to be connected via Bluetooth but not a mouse? Typical Apple controlling, manipulative move to keep people buying their laptops.

  • maybe to voit people taking selfie with tablet device ...

  • when people comparing mobile os with desktop os ...

  • How come in the article they say it is $329 and in the specs they say 350 EUR? It is like 100 EUR more.

  • 1.2 megapixel on the 9.7inch screen. Ridiculous

  • I thought this crap was gone. Not again! These useless iOS toys cannot compete with Windows Convertibles in term of productivity. But if you have a narcissistic personality, Apple IPad is definitely for you.

  • lol at 1.2 selfie camera.. Apple loves shit technology

  • No, you don't need to but an Apple Pencil or Logitech Crayon with this iPad. It works fine without it.

  • its not android u know ...

  • Only 2GB RAM? Someone needs to wake up...

  • iPad is my favorite smartphone.

  • Do we need to buy stylus pen with this ipad

  • With a10 fusion it is good for 350$ only disappointment is no rear camera flash
