Asus ROG Phone ZS600KL - User Reviews

  • Confirmed - Unfortunately the ROG Phone will not be getting Android Pie. Such a shame...

  • No pie

  • Normally they must prove the physical damage has caused the failure for which you seek a replacement. Review your country's laws on consumer protection and wartanties

  • Your own fault for buying an Asus.

  • Just get an app called island and you can duplicate any app in a sandbox space. You don't need dual space and shit, everything can be done on Android.

  • you 1st time buy phone? which company provide warranty for screen crack caused no other than the user himself. stupid

  • I know your pain, same here!

  • Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? Pie? .............

  • Bought an ASUS ROG phone in 2018 -- loved it! Fast graphics, good UI, easy to customize. However -- I dropped my keys on the back of the phone in May of 2019 -- cracked the glass back. No other damage to the phone, so I bought a TPU case and carried on. In September of this year, the screen died. Every now and then you'd get a flash of screen, but otherwise solid black. I contacted ASUS for a warranty replacement, and learned that ANY physical damage voids the warranty. In my case, a cracked glass back meant they would NOT repair the screen under warranty. If you google "ASUS ROG phone screen replacement", you will read hundreds of cases with ASUS refusing to honor their warranty in this manner. Don't buy ASUS products.

  • As the owner of the original Rog Phone, i'm not so interested about Rog Phone 2 anymore. Some bad design choices for me over the original. For starters, device is too damn big for my taste and it's even heavier than the original which was already maybe too heavy! Speaking about the size of the phone... well, for me original Rog + gamevice controller is pretty much perfect size and looks awesome. I've also seen controllers for Rog Phone 2 and they look ugly, in my opinion. About the performance, let's be honest: overclocked Snapdragon 845 is already more than enough to run all the games in Google Play store, you don't really need Snapdragon 855, it's just a showoff thing. Also i don't know why Asus took away backcover fingerprint sensor that was in the original and placed it in front for Rog Phone 2. I know it's just a matter of taste. I'm pissed off about the fact that Asus have been really lazy giving updates for the original and yet Asus have said the original will get Pie and even Android 10 update!? If Asus really believes i should buy Rog Phone 2 to have Pie and eventually Android 10,they are out of their minds! I'll stick to the original (as i like it more actually), no matter what they will do with the support of the original. I still don't understand why release new phone in less than a year where you could just support the one you already have! Bad choices, Asus... bad choices.

  • Well, received my pre order for the ROG Phone 2 today. And my guess was right - the ROG Phone 2 sports Android 9 out of the box and yet the ROG Phone still did not receive the update despite vague notifications that it will be released in Q3 2019...

  • Asus is really stupid, forget Asus phones.

  • Oooooooooo

  • Where to buy Rog Phone 1 with 512gb in Barcelona or at Canary Islands?

  • I'm still hopeful that Rog will get Pie but it's already so much delayed! Asus just can't do that to customers and to supporters of the original ROG Phone. They have promised it time and time again so they HAVE to deliver it if they ever want to keep their customers!

  • I was just crazy, 1000 euros paid for this phone and no android 9 pie. Asus is stupid, this is my last Asus phone, no more Asus. I don't recommend Asus anyone.

  • Just received new update which appears to be July security update but still no Pie?!? Come on, Asus! Tell us honestly if it's not coming at all.

  • Wrong page! I shall put this in ROGPhone 2 page.

  • Contacted Asus enquiring about system DSP (EQ) and Bluetooth - system DSP in ROG Phone2 does NOT support Bluetooth! So the system DSP in a high-end phone costing near £1000 at the back end of 2019 doesn't support Bluetooth when every crappy third-party EQ app does? I'm astonished, and it puts an end to my interest in ROG Phone 2.

  • Exactly! This is getting ridiculous. I have a feeling Asus will betray us and will just say after months of waiting: "If you want Pie, buy Rog Phone 2!" Ok, maybe i'm exaggerating but Asus have said original ROG will get Pie Q3 2019 so we are still on schedule. Let's see how it goes...

  • Sorry, "where"

  • Who is my Pie Update? Hello Asus can you hear me?

  • How hot is that temperature? if it is over 40 degrees and stay for around 43-45 degrees, it is overheating and that is not a good sign for your battery, you need to plug in the Rog accessories like the fan, this is why the budget for phone alone is not yet complete, you will need those accessories and it cost extra bucks.

  • Yeah i got the same thing as well with my ROG at the start but usually its only when there is a update it reboots itself or i accidentally push on the power button and volume button. for me now it hasn't done it for a while so i might be a small bug and hopefully they will fix that problem soon.

  • My partner got this phone instead of paying the same price for a different brand (apple/Samsung) that doesn't have half of the features. Unfortunately the phone reboots on its own several times a day. Looking online I can only find people talking about a similar problem with the zenphone 5, but solutions for that don't work for the ROG. Does anyone else experience this, know about this or have a solution of their own?

  • 171mm, 11.2mm taller than Rog1 isn't harmful for eyes, staring to these big panels for more than hours at day, from less than 1meter than eyes?!

  • What's the highest temperature that you will get from this gaming phone? PUBG (High graphics) ? Mobile Legends ( High Graphics) ?

  • Thank you my friend :)

  • I'm not sure what is dual app feature you talk about? Do you mean multitasking? For example, YouTube and Chrome sharing the screen? Yes, i have Rog Phone :)

  • Sorry to hear that, well it may be too late to feel regret now. But im sure you will get used to the phone soon

  • if you care about the performance i would said that you can go for the black shark 2 with the latest snapdragon processor. If you prefer more premium and with a 90hz display then you likely should go for rog

  • Most of the phone do come with a dual app feature. It depends if the app support or not. Not only for the ROG

  • Black shark 2 has stereo speaker too, i have tried rog to see if is good but somehow it has a sharp pinch speaker when i raise the volume. After adjusting back to lower volume then everything is ok. Asus speaker may not be the best but their performance is good

  • Did you own a ROG phone ? Please can you tell me does Rog phone have Dual apps function?

  • Xiaomi Black Shark 2 has better chipset but my points go to Rog Phone :) Overall better for gaming and impressive stereo speakers!

  • Someone can tell me which one is better ? ROG phone or Black shark 2 ? i'm so very confuse right now

  • The ROG Phone 2 announced for 23rd July. That phone will be released before the first iteration ever got Android 9 Pie. And with the OS rumoured to be released for Q3 2019. My guess is that the ROG Phone 2 would sport Pie on launch? I love this phone to bits, even left Samsung after 7 years. But wish they could keep what we have now updated rather than brushed under the carpet...

  • The ROG Phone is quite good. It has everything I need and because it's a gaming phone it's not easy to use it like a normal samsung phone. This website might say that this phone is 12 MP but there is something called super resolution that could go to 49 MP. The battery life is not as good ofc because it's made to play games. People say that the Blackshark is a better option than the ROG because it doesn't heat up that hot. But the ROG phone if used in the cold weather is very useful to warm your hands and typing in the ROG phone is basically the same as other phones except for iPhones because that keyboard is still too hard for me. It also shoot 4k 60 fps so I in my opinion that it's the best gaming phone than the Blackshark 2 and Razer phone.

  • Airtriggers on my Rog Phone doesn't lag at all, they are very sensitive and fast responding. Have you used airtriggers while playing games online? Maybe there is lag if you play certain games online but couple of games that i have tried didn't lag at all using airtriggers but i was playing offline single player games. Also i have not experienced overheating while playing. Sounds like you are just mad that you sold your Shark phone and now you hate yourself because of it more than you actually hate Rog Phone ;)

  • I used blackshark 1st gen before.... I am so regret selling it now to buy Asus ROG. The experience was poor in asus, not to mention it heats up like shit. Air trigger?? Don't expect too much from it. Lags like shit. Even cheaper blackshark joystick can play better. Bullshit ROG. -typing using Asus ROG-

  • Apparently Android Pie coming to the ROG Phone in Q3 this year. Apparently...

  • it is water resistant not waterproof

  • Instead of writing a long review, I'll give my opinions to the point. If it was for looks alone, this wins 1st place. Display in general is just amazing and enjoyable. Speakers are CRAZY loud. Plays well anything you throw at it, and even emulations, from NES, to PS2, to DOS, all runs no sweat. I don't consider it to heat that much when gaming. Air Triggers can be usefull for other tasks outside gaming. With regular use through-out the day, with the back LED on, live wallpaper on, making calls, browsing and gaming, lasts all day long. I don't care for call or camara quality. A cover is a Must! My 2 biggest disappointments are the lack of SD slot (2 phone lines? why not a line and a SD slot??!) and though I give props to devices with proper dual speakers, sound quality specially with ear/headphones, is the worse, like, Really Bad. My 2011 ST15i and 2007 Nokia 5310 both have better output. The sound card just can't handle any frequency loads at all, and I never use high volumes as I care for my ears. Not even the fact that I'm an audiophile means I'm bashing on this point, It IS Really BAD! Almost broken! Any questions are welcome.

  • Don't know how it's "waterproof"

  • Glad to have this phone. it have super complete features

  • Yes, i've heard there is already ROG Phone 2 in the making... ...i mean, this one is barely 7 months old, really Asus?!? How about just improve original ROG Phone and forget about the next model for the time being. But no, Asus is ridiculous!

  • They are busy making new models. They don't care if you are upset with the lack of updates or other problems, because there will always be other stupid people who will buy the next one.

  • there are already better phones mate

  • the design is very stylish

  • Yesterday, ROG phone received new update... frikkin' March security update (not even April or May) and still no signs of Pie update!? Seriously, Asus? :O

  • forget it bahaha

  • Still no Pie update!?! Back in January, i've read this on this site: Yeah, "soon" indeed! It's already May.

  • Very good gaming phone

  • Yes there is no sd card slot in this ROG phone as stated in the description of this page. :)

  • their is no sd slot it says in the description

  • There are no sd card slot on ROG phones.

  • This phone is a complate packages of a great phone, plus 90 hz screen. It also have FM radio which is nice

  • Where do I put in my sd card, been trying since I got it

  • just saw a post from asus rog facebook that they will be having a headset with rgb lights a good match for this phone. but im gonna guess the price is around 3k to 5k pesos

  • Whenever I go by the Cyberzone in MOA and check out the Rog Phone at the Rog store, I always wonder, should I Buy this? But it will take my 5 months worth of car monthly payment.

  • in your dreams

  • Amazing gaming phone

  • Where can I get this phone and where to order this phone asus rog. And how much price it is.. I want to buy....

  • yaaa

  • I do miss not having a memory card slot. I'm too conscious about storage, whereas when I had the Galaxy S9 paired with a 200GB microSD card, I had nothing to worry about. Shame the 512GB version isn't available in the UK yet.

  • It has all the advanced technology,,this phone is super perfect

  • But it really does eat up a lot of juice in your battery. Been through that.

  • Always thought this phone was nothing special, but just noticed that it has a 90Hz OLED screen, which is great news. A 90Hz LCD is nothing to run home about, but a 90Hz OLED is industry first. I just hope 120Hz screens become the norm. Once you use one on an iPad, you will never ever want 60Hz again.

  • yes i get Full 4g LTE ( Michigan ) AT&T

  • Hey Undone, Thanks for the reply. true it is a gaming phone but the Note 9 dose not have that issue of the screen heating up that much.. I hope the next version will be better and with a 6.5 inch screen. I actually would have kept the ROG phone but never could get a 4G/LTE connection. Only HSPA+ was what I would get. I am In, USA, Honolulu Hawaii and should have not matter since the Note 9 would get 4G/LTE. So if anyone in the USA that has the phone and can get on 4G/LTE please let me know.

  • This phone offer everything,,Fantastic

  • There is/ was an interesting sale in ASUS' own Shop /Spain you can choose one orig. ROG Phone accessory free, or from the expensive ones at discounted price of only € 100. That "flash sale" ends today, so hurry up if you live in Spain.

  • ROG phone as a whole is a great phone overall with one flaw. Its screen. Due to screen refresh rate, even though you set it to a lower frame rate, really sucks the battery fast. But overall the phone is awesome.

  • SD Card would be a nice touch mainly for the 128G Version coming from someone that is used to having a phone with dedicated or shared micro SD slot. But that issue can be resolved with online storage. Granted it is an older phone but the sim / storage card layout for the zenfone ar and zenfone max plus feels more flexible with dual sim and dedicated micro SD. The battery capacity with heavy usage and heavy data usage may not live up to the all day power ...

  • Hullo. What u are describing is a problem that most probably emerges from long playing times. After all, its still a phone... gaming phone... but phone nonetheless. Nevertheless, is worth taking what you are saying in consideration, because, a lot of reviewers didnt address that issue. If your thumbs tends to get "stick" on the ("heated") screen, thats a problem that affects gaming experience. Im not sure why overclock a phone @2,96 GHz when @2,8 GHz with Asus hardware tunning and setting would make it great enough. I see a great gaming phone but a bit expensive... not sure if i wanna invest almost u$d 1k in a phone, that most probably is gonna get old in 2 or 3 years at most. Salut.

  • Hullo. That phone is "The" Beast for gamers. Just one advice. If you feel hot, that means that the processor is raising its temperature. Most probable it will not make any difference to the chipset, but sooner or later... well... to the battery is another story. When you feel very hot, just let it rest without charging, just to avoid degradating the battery life. Remember that sooner or later, the battery is gonna get hot from da chipset. ¿5 hours of full gaming with PUBG? You are killing that poor thing, haha... enjoy and try to use it a little less... lets say 1.30 or 2.00 hours top before letting get a little rest. Salut and congrats for "THE" (gamers) phone.

  • So that you spend more money to buy their 512GB version

  • Hi there, ASUS overall quality is good, but not for their after-sales customer service or the quality of the service in their service centre.

  • I've had samsung s7 edge for 2 years and after using ROG, I wouldn't want to go back, you really can really feel the 1 ms response time, everything is smooth as silk, phone looks great, a tad heavy but it's something getting used to. The colors are beautiful and neat. What I didn't like was the glass at the back, it feels like it's always gonna crack when you place it on something rough, but it's still beautiful to look at. And now for gaming, PUBG is my most processor hungry game app , everything on high graphics, 60 fps thanks to gfx tool, and the game is smooth. The back get's hot, really hot but I think it's just on the outside and not the internal, hot enough to make you uncomfortable, but it still is playable. But no matter how hot is becomes (been playing for 5 hours) the game still runs smoothly, everything still runs smooth. all in all I give it a 10/10. Will try more games on it, but I have no doubt it could handle everything perfectly.

  • I pre-Ordered it here in the UK for 699.99 GBP, it arrived 19th december, the very next day I had to send it back due to the screen issue, there was a dead pixel on it. The ASUS Customer Service looks like a complete joke to me since I contacted to them. They sent me a youtube link of a 10 years old kid who try to fix his dead pixeled screen. Now they have no more units in stock, so I am still waiting.

  • I have always laughed at ASUS. But not with the ROG Phone. Everything is superb except for the camera.

  • umm go to asus and search for the phone go to specs it says it has dual nano sim for those who ask can u make phone calls :P i think ima buy this phone next year

  • I have to say, I am Impressed ! :D

  • The ultra gaming phone.

  • It's a class device.. Totally PC quality and boosted. Very much worth to the price

  • Of course you can make calls, what question is that??

  • It gets hot on the outside because of the heat dissipation

  • No Card Slot..? Only 4000mAh...?

  • What material on the heat spreader it is use ? Plastik or aluminium ?

  • Why isn't this phone being officially reviewed here yet?

  • No, only splash resistant. It has an IPX4 rating. Source Asus:

  • Does it have ip68? Is it water resistant?

  • No, it's for gaming only. you can't make a call on this PHONE.

  • my kind of phone,

  • The ultra gaming phone with expensive price and with a lot of accesories. Ultimate phone.

  • How’s audio through headphone jack ? Better than lg g7 /v40 quad dac?

  • What is the update all about?

  • Yes for sure. I hope next model will have a larger screen

  • No it does not

  • new update ZS600KL_ WW_15.1618.1810.77 is out

  • Does this have wireless charging?

  • They should make the display bigger (7" may be) , because gaming phone needs big screen.

  • I've had this phone for 2 weeks now and I gotta say I'm impressed. I've had samsung s7 edge for 2 years and after using ROG, I wouldn't want to go back, you really can really feel the 1 ms response time, everything is smooth as silk, phone looks great, a tad heavy but it's something getting used to. The colors are beautiful and neat. What I didn't like was the glass at the back, it feels like it's always gonna crack when you place it on something rough, but it's still beautiful to look at. Will try more games on it, but I have no doubt it could handle everything perfectly.

  • No this one if for playing games like Crysis only. No calling feature.

  • Ok here is my honest hands on user review. I played on it for 2 weeks straight. Pubg mobile the phone heats up at the max 2.96 GHz processor speed the screen also gets warmer than my note 9, Which makes the thumbs stick to the screen and not Glide smooth on the screen to move. This is even with the fan attachement on. I had to drop processor speed to 2.47 GHz for me to game. Also I do play 2 to 3 hours straight.so this review is based on long game plays. I don't feel that the fan attachement did much to cool the device. I also played ARK survival and same issue. I would need to drop the processor speed down so the device does not get too hot. Again the screen seems to get too warm that it affects the smoothness to move my thumbs on the screen. Well my opinion on this rog phone is its fast but having the need to drop the processor speed to keep the phone cool enough to play even with the fan attachement on kind of get me mad.

  • Explain what bugs you are experiencing?

  • this phone is what I really like to have for gaming

  • razer 2 had a review

  • I think They hate ASUS. They always give less preference to asus even there is not any video of 5Z on their youtube chanel. Friends Gsmarena group don't do this.Because we just love products of Republic Of Taiwan as such a small "country" performing in very good numbers and showing disciplines in the world. They reviewed Iphone Xs with very excitement and glamorous review but with truth information. Like iphone there is also a mobile game playing comunity and we'll buy Rog phone asap. Whether you review or not.

  • Why is there not a single review from a gaming phone on this website? Where talking BlackShark/ROG/RAZER. Not one review.

  • How come gsmarena has not yet done a review on this phone yet? it is such an amazing phone, I am really looking forward for the review, especially on the Battery life.

  • Is battery good

  • whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat??!!

  • Really need a review from gsmarena as I would like to pre order asap !

  • Dearest knowledge sharing gsmArena ,Asus, public and all friendsworldwide.I just have a question about this fabulous smartphone that hopefully just someone answer the question!!? Of course Asus with corporations with Google can do it too! Hopefully we get confirmation from the King with 2. billions 500 millions plus android users worldwide. Right now two thirdof my devdevice have been out of order!! A revelations evolutionary reminding by dearest Google is needed.,,,Thanks all mentioned names . Just Justice Rights which is people's is there rights.,,,Please do this good deed ! Price of 512 is $ 2800 here on my left side by Eboy !! But in some X place worldwide will be $14000 unbelievablely....Thanks again....

  • yup It can do anything like a normal android phone

  • Does the rog phone is a like a regular phone to make phone calls?

  • 49995 php pre order last month till nov 7. I don't know if they have new stocks to sell. the freebie jacket was good most of the size are S and M

  • Is somethig wrong with Goooogle Search by you?! :)

  • Can I ask how much is this phone here in Philippines?

  • oh yes oh no

  • The preorders start tomorrow friday in the uk for asus rog phone from asus uk direct, preorders get £100 discount, after discount the price is £699 for the 128gb version.

  • I had mine for about 5 days now. In the US, there are not free accessories. So far the hardware is REALLY nice (except for the super slippery back). But the software, OMG.... They need a team of software engineers to get their UI and bugs fixed. Considering ASUS a hardware company I supposed that was expected.

  • Just got my ROG phone its fast i didn't expect that 90hz will be this faster than any normal 60hz handsets. BTW they gave me a jacket a cover for the phone and the aero cooler with a free asus power bank since it was a pre order here in the ph

  • yes I agree even razer phone 2 had a review and they where release at the same time

  • Just got my pre-order set in Malaysia. 512G version RM3999. FREE ROG CASE and ZENPOWER PRO Powebank. It's a good phone, totally worth the price.

  • No external memory card slot? But WHY?!

  • Cmon we need long term review of this phone in writing and it would really be good if you could put in 360 view of the phone Thank you

  • on the official tech spec sheet it says ipx4. splash resistance. I won't expect it to have any submersion protection

  • how long should we wait for a decent review on THIS phone?

  • I think you're the one that is being scammed, 1150eur is roughly 70K php only

  • Does the phone have any kind of water resistance as there is conflicting information on various sites that this phone is ip68 or some kind of splash resistance and some other sites say it has no water resistance

  • That's a scam for the entire bundle. Even if you were getting the 512GB ROG Phone. Official price in Philippines for the entire bundle is just around 103K if you pre-ordered.

  • That's not correct! Official prices for MY sets, as posted before you. Check that post, or other official sources. Preorder promotion till 4th Nov 2018, but of course already 'Out of stock' for this prices, even the version with bigger storage. That's it, if the price is good. I think some pieces we'll see on ebay & Co. for much more.

  • yes, for the 128GB model of the ROG phone

  • . . . and for that they get the version w/ 512GB of storage vers. w/ 128GB cost RM 3,499 even bundled with expensive orig. ASUS ROG Phone Case as well and of course also there is a PRE-ORDER PROMO a chance to win a GAMEVICE Controller worth RM349! I think they have also the best prices for ROG Phone Accessories. but i know nothing about the av. wages there . . .

  • Are u sure the price is rm 3999?

  • According to rappler, yes, you can preorder now in Asus stores, with the phone arriving starting on the 1st week of November. P49,995 for the 128gb variant and P61,995. for the 512gb

  • You can get it at XUNDD Philippines. Search it on Facebook. total price of the phone + all accessories is Php150,000 ..

  • Yes. This phone was released in the Philippines on Sunday, October 28, during the ESGS 2018 event.

  • Is this phone already available in the philippines?

  • ROG Delta - gaming headset (v. ~eur 199) free for pre-order in France! very good offer, i think . . . but also very limited, only first 200 buyer will get it.

  • dual-SIM? why not tri-SIM, you know, like the explay b240?

  • The ROG Phone is a dual-SIM phone with no memory card slot, you must get the TwinView spilt-screen controller for memory card access which gives the phone some bulk and mass.

  • Hell heavy like a stone lol

  • No, 2 slot sim card and 1 slot memory card. Total 3 slot.

  • can someone confirm that this has only 1 sim card?

  • Wtf.. you buy phone that look pretty?not the spec? you better buy iphone (have dual sim card) and way more expensive. LOL

  • Cost is a way to high and a gaming phone at only 6 inch, 18:9 format. If i was a gamer and a gamer on a silly smartphone... 6 inch... Cmon. I had a Zenfone 3 Ultra which i send on pension couple month ago, but this had a much better size for sure 16:9 6,8 inch and 4600mah a phone from 2016.

  • Fly to Taiwan. Make some vacation and get it there ;)

  • Got a external fan for cooling down the phone. Got the latest version of processor and gpu, huge battery and ram. HAS AUDIO JACK.

  • ... there is a nice pre-order offer in ASUS eShop in Italy. you get EUR100 coupon for ROG Phone accessories. That's a Controller or Dock fully free for you. but att. it's very limited, only on this few days.

  • Pre-order is live on amazon for $899

  • That's an answer, you know . . . It's about POCO F1!

  • When the heck is it gonna be sold in Indonesia? Fml been forever...

  • U clearly dont know what u are talking about.

  • They are both shit as hell… U want performance and quality. Asus ROG is the best

  • Its okay balanced display.

  • with that foulty low midrange display?! No, thanks to expensive for that quality, than i would prefer a better, well balanced midranger for that money . . . a SoC alone makes better phone only for kiddies.

  • Better get iPhone or note 9.

  • Come to Malaysia on 22/10/2018.

  • Let me know your reasons :)

  • We're back to the days of over priced boutique feature phones... Huhhh... Remember when flagships cost $800 max? (iPhone 3gs, galaxy note2.) bring on the midranger with backdated flagship SoC...

  • You can buy pocophone , its more reasonable

  • Pre order MYSET is just rm3999

  • Yep. About as ugly as the cases used to cover pretty looking phones.

  • Pre-order starts on 19th Oct. in Russia.

  • Thank you for telling that much info. Please tell as well, where can I buy similar techs cheaper.

  • The phone itself looks ugly and too expensive

  • yes. It's very cheap. I suggest traveling to malaysia :D

  • Man, that kinda sucks. I didn't expect the phone to be like 500, I thought it would be like 900 and 1k

  • You just forgot to tell, that's not official malaysian set and price. I think overpriced import from Taiwan, (where they were launched with good prices). By the way off. price for Europe EUR 899 for vers. with 128GB of storage. (Don't forget a lots of eu. countries have very high 'copy-taxes' for built-in storage as well.) Off. price for Russia also just a little bit higher, but market prices are there usually lower already at start in some good shops. You can check for prices with the corr. P/N-s, that posted earlier.

  • Yes, for a Malaysian... overpriced... Anyway is an import set from Taiwan.

  • Is that a lot?

  • Malaysia are start selling already. RM4999

  • you don't know all that ROG Phone has to offer . . . Check for all the accessories and for all the comm. options and you will see, no other phone offers similar top-techs this time! This is not only a flagship phone, but more the main piece of a top-class android gaming system with brandnew opportunities.

  • Lol late coming to the market. Next year already new sd chip with more power.

  • An imported set at my country cost as much like note 9 , there is no reason to get this over note 9 if the price is at same range and ofc im talking about it highest variant

  • Who needs that by 512GB of storage and USB 3.1 speeds? but if you buy one of the ROG Docks you will get an SD Card Slot as well. lol Dual-SIM support is the most important thing for lots of people, i think.

  • nice..no memory card slot.. very nice..

  • What do you mean by "yank"?

  • NO! Europe first! Now! Yanks love their Ishit too much to buy this device anyway lol

  • Att, correction! the right P/N-s: 90AZ01Q1-M00070 (for Russia) 90AZ01Q1-M00380 (for W-Europe) Version w/ 128GB of storage will start about EUR 900.

  • In the main camera section, you guys put "(wide)" in the wrong place, the wide angle camera is the 8MP camera

  • Firmware update already available for WW version ROG Phone coming soon search for PN-s like 90AZ01Q1-.......... for ex. 90AZ01Q1-M00380 (for Russia) Pls. post results!

  • Are you sure?

  • US launch announced for October 18 event in N.Y. c. t. twitter

  • Just started in Taiwan ... w/ 512 GB of storage (i think also in mainland China) but no news here about the most interesting phone with a lots of new techs and features. a bit sad You can also find some information in other countries, product-pages have been prepaired (tested) as start nears. Russia may be the next one to get the ROG Phone.

  • Slower refresh rate? I think OLED still yet to support 120hz screen refresh? The other cheaper gaming phones using notably capable LCD

  • Still, the design is kind of cool for those who bored of the too overused kind of look phone out there. But wish asus has one of the lower range on the level of 5z price with this kind of design.

  • I will rather buy 2 xbox or just build up a pc with this 1150 euro ..lol no value of money ......

  • exp realease oct 22nd not 22th :))

  • Pocofone should die if ROG is best

  • Pocofone is there with same specs with lesser price

  • Could you please tell me the problems?

  • This phone is a monster that is every gamer's dream....8GB RAM with 512GB storage on a OLED smartphone? The screen is apparently also OLED, much better than cheaper "gaming" phones that also has slower screen refresh rate and inferior screen in general. I am pretty sure many of us can only dream of such a phone but the accessories seem to also add some advantages. sick!

  • the nubia and shark should be the best for budget gaming phone out there, rog might be over priced Friends got a shark and I think it's good enough

  • lol, yup its not the size that matters its how you use your size

  • lol, yup its not the size that matters its how you use your size

  • best phone yet!!! can't wait to buy it!!!!!

  • Asus phones have so many problems that is is best not to buy anything with Asus marked on it.

  • Vapourware like many Asus "products"?

  • you're right.

  • or rather you :) Buy an ASUS ZenPower Pro PD 45W (PD, for Power Delivery on USB-C) power bank and your prob is solved without must to have a phone with big overweight!

  • Battery sucks. Should at least be 10000 mAH

  • Yup u are right bro

  • still no information about the price of this cool phone? too confusing.

  • you'll need more than 512gb memory?? this is not a phone. this is a laptop with a size of a phone.

  • damn thoughts

  • Launching phones in oct/nov/dec is a big mistake as in the next jan/feb there are already new phones going to be launched with the next gen cpu.

  • Black shark is good but no sd card for real? Jesus! Its the most very important features that should not be removed and the 3.5mm jack holy they did fck it all up BIG! time...

  • What really? It overheat? Oh really?... Bad built quality with its price? Really? Bleeding issue? Wt heck! All apps doesn't have all background brah...and who uses full blast brightness? Only few and 99.9 use only halfway brightness...u really don't know how to put a right price tag on the product don't u?...

  • Which is why you get the Black Shark with liquid cooling!

  • Yes but those who know its falut will never bought it. Screen bleeding Bad built quality And High temperature.

  • Poco is also cheap with liquid cooling. I think rog phone will have a low sale because the existence of Xiaomi Pocophone F1

  • This is one of the best phones I'll never buy

  • Guys just wait more 6 or 7 months because there two new mobile are coming razer (razer phone 2) and samsung (we does not know the name) there a tweet by samsung that there a gaming coming so i will wait untill these all mobiles come in the market and then i will bought the best;)

  • Dont buy this phone! if they release it on fall 2018 few months later samsung s10 will release! and the samsung s10 will defeat this phone in every aspect! or just buy zenfone 5z 8 GB for lower price with just few features downgrade

  • Guys i know the price.$899 for base version,$1010 for 8gb ram and 512 gb rom and $1499 for 8gb ram and 512 gb rom with all gaming equvipments.(The price can be changed when it will be launche.)

  • I spoke with an ASUS rep at Pax West on 08/31 and he told me they were shooting for a late Oct/early Nov release and are shooting for a $899 price tag. Pretty dang good price for the specs if you ask me.

  • ROG Phone was present on IFA Berlin, but unfortunately no news here. :(

  • Small ppi :-(

  • 1500 Euros for highest version.

  • Or even a prebuilt. I do see the attraction to something like this. If it was better priced, it would be awesome, but that price is too GOT DAMN HIGH

  • Oh, so you're that type of person?

  • its camera not camara

  • Lol! Poco is like Jet Engine in a small cheap car. You can't compare it with flagship phones just because it has SD845. Hell they don't even provide metal build what cheap phone is that I'll still prefer oneplus over loco poco any day. Forget about Poco Asus 5z is much better value for money and loaded with feature and Asus 5z 6/64 has approx same price as Poco 6/128

  • If you are trynna get into serious gaming anyone can tell you get a PS4 or something...

  • Okey, i would love that phone, but i think theres a point. if u wanna play, u will search a cool, nice, comfortable place. but if i wanna play for real, i would go for a portatil game module or playstation, nintendo, before a "phone". But its cool anyway... i would pay probly 700$.... but no more -.-

  • Yes, a portatil (portable) PS, yes, you can... ;)

  • your usable is not everyone's usable, 4 inch is enough for me than why 6 inch? why don't you use 4 inch like I do? it is usable to me

  • DOA, Xiaomi Poco killed this.

  • Why not go for Samsung/Huawei/Oneplus Flagship phone if its gonna be a 1K $ phone. My excitement just died.

  • you know you gotta indicate the currency :)

  • maybe $800-$1000

  • 60-65k

  • Expected Price? Anyone?

  • thank you dear rumorist :)

  • 1. ROG phone will come with 4gb, 6gb, and 8gb of ram version 2. It will not have the sencond 8MP camara if you buying the low spec ver. 3. The bettery may only have 3850mAh 4. ROG phone will not be announced before Taiwan and China 5. 128G Rom with 8G Ram version will cost you around $950

  • external card slot for a phone that has 512GB of storage? you use it for what? Camera is acceptable since it is the same or higher edition of the one on the zenfone 5z - Asus's flagship, and who care about camera on a gaming phone anyways? FHD+ is decent res and most people cant differentiate between it and quadHD unless they have very good eyes, and on top of that, 90Hz refresh rate has hugely more impact, remember resolution isn't the only thing that count when talking about displays. Not to mention great cooling, fairly big battery, huge RAM and other features, no doubt this is high-end level phone

  • The phone is cool and beast specially the 90 refresh rate but i think ill pass on this one... this isn't not the phone i want to take with me every day...

  • So much internet traffic?

  • external card slot for a phone that has 512GB of storage? you use it for what? Not to mention great cooling, fairly big battery, huge RAM and other features, no doubt this is high-end level phone

  • I really don't understand the need for resolution higher than 1080p in a smartphone, especially in a 6-inch or less. I have used a 6-inch 720p device and find it more than usable. My current phone is the same resolution and screen size as this phone this and I still don't find it necessary to have a larger resolution, even when my eyes are only 20cm away from the phone. I know that on phones you now can reduce the UI resolution to save battery but actually having lower resolution in hardware level should be much better for your battery. I would rather pay more for a more color accurate or higher refresh rate display. In my opinion, the only time higher than 1080p resolution is when you are using a phone in a VR headset. I am really surprised not many android companies pushing for a higher refresh rate. I want a smoother UI movement and higher refresh rate content. Really surprise that Apple actually somewhat ahead in this regard. Especially for their 2017 iPad pro.

  • No card slot, lowest resolution, Not much camera features and basically buying for the handheld style smartphone.. Maybe or maybe not.

  • have anyone seen a review of this device? it is sick!!!!! asus I need it and I believe you'll find enough supporters to actually make it!!!

  • where can i buy this phone?

  • I guess it will not get heat if u are in the Air-conditioned room or cold country...my concern is how about when u play it in a non Air-conditioned room and hot country like Philippines i doubt it will not get heat... about the battery 4k mah is really good thing bro but i hope it doesn't drain to much bcuz of the phone it self is powerful and powerful gadgets suck too much battery...

  • Dude this phone is so powerful I dont know why did you thought of these heat issues lol. SD845 can handle games with ease how come it will overheat? And 4000mAh battery is very good also I can’t see your point of the cooler fan.

  • My concern about this phone is the battery life and the heating issues...i know it comes with cooling fan but the problem is the cooling fan gets power from the phone so it will suck battery juice so its possible the phone won't last 2nd playing games while charging decrease the life span of the battery...it will be cool if the unit won't heat up like hell while playing and can last for 6 hours straight while playing and won't needing the cooling fan...thats the real super phone...

  • actually yes for sony remote play...

  • Air trigger, 90hz 1ms OLED screen, front facing stereo speakers, overclocked binned SD845, 2 charging port suit your needs, awesome RGB logo... Does Oneplus 6 has even one of the above that ASUS offered?

  • WHUT? how better performance? this is a SD845. an overclocked SD845. this device is optimized for high performance and high graphic games. pls don't give wrong information. the ROG brand is expensive itself. so the people who want a high level device wants this. not that OP6 :))

  • For that price i could buy 2 Oneplus 6 which basically has the same performance or even better. The Rog, the only thing i'm jealous is the 92hz refresh rate and HDR support.

  • No, it's 1300 euro.

  • Ok, I've a question can you play with PS4 in the bus? or maybe, when walking?

  • This is a good phone and specifications. But the pricing will shy off everyone and go for more affordable and reasonable priced phone.

  • @sp33dfingers - the specs clearly indicates a Nano SIM.

  • Lol... if i want a gaming device, and at the price its going to be launch (no less than 900usd) i buy a Nintendo or PS... LOL.

  • no simcard :v

  • haha. look in your dream :)

  • apparently its going to be $1800

  • Asus Rog Gaming Phone global version 128gb 8gb ram is now available for pre-order from gearbest shipping aug 10th and 14th. I checked the price, lol stellar price £1022.92 UK pound but there seems to a massive interest in pre-orders. I thought I'd pass on the news...

  • I`m waiting for it since the first rumors about it... Hardware wise - superb.. with that phone (512gb) i will not need my external hdd with me most of the time :) price wise - high as expected... only concern for me will be the battery life not only as durability but also cycle wise... I love the brand but my Asus laptops can`t get more than year - year and a half and before the battery dies... I have only 1 clevo laptop and I`m still getting 70% from the original capacity after 3 years of heavy use... So my biggest fears about the phone will be how long the battery will keep me before I need new one... I hope Asus team done a lot better job compared to the laptops :D

  • you'd be lucky if this thing stayed below $1000 USD. ROG is an expensive brand

  • There is mo ps3 emulator for android.

  • Good luck with that lol.

  • I would buy it as long as it below the $500 pricetag or better yet, stays in $200 so I could bought more accessories

  • WRONG! Source:

  • Wow i want to buy it

  • Good phone

  • U can use powerbank

  • I think this phone is de wei! O3O

  • Samsung plan to merge Note and Galaxy so does the S-pen still carry on for the future? Source:

  • Wow this phone is so amazing I can't can't wait to have it in my hands. Thanks to ROG. But the little problem I have is the battery, I don't think 4000mAh is enough for a gaming phone like this. By the way what would be the expected price

  • W A N T

  • Good luck carrying the gaming laptop in your pocket everywhere you go 😂

  • Just saw this at marques brownlee's channel. This device is a beast. Insane features man. Great job by Asus.

  • Does anyone know what network it'll be available on?

  • around $1000 for 128GB, don't know 512G version That's all I know for now

  • Still haven't released the price?

  • Me and my son are waiting eagerly to replace our Samsung Tab2 with this amazing gaming phone. Will it be launched along with handy gaming console? Then it will be 🍰

  • Typical stereotype.

  • This will be my new phone for 2019, since the spec and features alone is almost future proof for 5 years (or maybe more depending on the person using it). This gaming phone is the real deal and my true nature call for mobile gamers, with all the latest and upcoming graphic intensive games... It's great to be alive for Mobile Master Race!

  • Ever had first hand experience of using ASUS phones other than seen on some videos from other users and assuming ROG Phone is trash as well? Nice try.

  • In most cases no, I don't think most gamers are streamers. Would it be a nice feature? Sure. But so would an sd card slot and more people would want that.

  • Does this phone have fm radio? On gsm says no, but on asus website says in specs that it have

  • All this cool and new Highend gaming phone are coming and yet it doesn't support 'USB HOST' which is the most important feature for a Game Streamer like me. I mean if you are targeting real gamers, isn't it fair to think that most gamers are mostly streamers too?

  • I want this stupid and powerfull phone at DAY 1 !!!

  • Most of the phones, if not all, I hope to see the day of light. 1 It gives us, the conumers, options 2 It drives the price down 3 It pushes the limits of a mobile phone, like controllers, game distribution, cooling method, etc. Though there is a reality that, "if" they do see the day of light, some will definitely fade if they dont keep up with the trend or requirements of the consumer. A good example is Sega, they dont manufacture consoles anymore. Only software and arcade games. But consumers can hope right? :) I did not include Huawei as they still need to prove themselves on mobile gameing hardware and software. For now lets wait and see. Mentioned manufacturers have experience in gameing desktop hardware. Whats stopping them to intrude the mobile gameing sector. Especially Sony. If Sony can raise the bar, and combine the Playstation with Xperia, im pretty sure a lot of people will buy that device. Assuming they can also emulate PS1, PS2, and PSP games, then most definitely, it will be a great sell. Price is another topic. :) Microsoft/Xbox is another, I want to see come to life, there are a lot of PC games and Xbox games that MS/XB can emulate, with limited controls, or a external keyboard/controller can be integrated in a mobile device no bigger than the size of your jean pocket. So I have higher expectations for both Sony HW and MS/XB based OS, as Asus, Acer, Gigabyte, MSI and Asrock already are a reputable HW manufactureing, with Asus and Acer opening their possibilities in mobile devices. How so? Snapdragon 850. A mobile chip that now challenges Intel and AMD in the laptop department. I would'nt be surprise if they start selling chips for desktop PC, then that would shake up the Desktop / Server department. But that is off topic and should be discussed in a different forum. Thanks that you like this topic. :)

  • Didn't like the samsung galaxy phone. Already have the note 8. And is still not running on oreo.

  • Better go for something like the GALAXY S9 fam

  • When you "accidentally" throw it on the ground cause you lost the round you mean?

  • Very nice post, most of that rumors I didn't know about! And don't forget Huawei, they said that will showing a gaming smartphone at Q1 2019! ;)

  • They said that it will be the first phone to support gorilla glass 6

  • Lets just hope that it won't break when you accidentally drop the phone..

  • All I know is that it's gonna be a beast of a smartphone

  • It is the time for the new Era in smartphone history....cue the dramatic music DUUUN DUUUN DU DU DU DUUUN DU DU DUUUN DU DU DUN

  • You speak of the Note 9 ? Cause ROG Phone already been revealed , and its coming out any of these weeks till end of september . But i want it now XD

  • Smarphone HW: Asus ROG Phone Acer Predator Phone Gigabyte AUROS phone MSI Gameing Phone Sony Play Station Xperia (with detachable memory drive Game chip and Detachable Controller) Microsoft Xbox Phone (???) OS: Android Fire OS PS OS Win 10 Pro / Xbox 1 (?) Win 10 Phone (Dead) If these came true, then we can say a beginning to a new era of mobile gameing. Assuming the manufacturers will attempt to make these a reality and opportunity for developers as well. Let your work be known to the world of gameing!

  • I will buy this phone, because I can count on all my fans out there helping me cool this thing off. Fly away..

  • i will buy it

  • Thick & Heavy Weight

  • Thank you for the gracious thanks, I suppose. I think I speak for most of us when I say that this stuff is something that we like talking and learning about.

  • Thanks dearest kindest friends. You are right about missing IR and radio+RDS .But I still believe that this smartphone is the best quality made of the years.I also respect gsmArena disclaimer and I am waiting for complete gsmArena review! Thanks again based on my moral guidelines following of Just Justice Rights.

  • Amazing smartphone. The first device to have WiFi AD+ other unique qualities !Having a dedicated memory card could have make it the unique in high ends category of 2018-19.Nevertheless good for ultra haves VIP to have it ! Good for them! Thanks gsmArena for publishing facts. Thanks + happiness for Justice Rights followers....But....

  • I've heard of a reveal in October and release in November. I'd say that's good timing, considering that you could choose between the Razer Phone 2 and the Asus ROG.

  • You say that people who already own a gaming laptop or a desktop should buy another laptop or buy iphone x ? What are you trying to prove here ? Rog phone will be similarly priced at iphone x during it's launch .. why even bothering to buy ipx ? .. just buy a generic phone and use ur allowance for devices which lacks mobility

  • Dont forget its all about software aswell , with that kind of managemnt in the ROG phone and Xiaomi's Black Shark they can both last 2 maybe 2 and a half days of minimum to medium usage . Btw on Monday we officialy enter Q3 i wonder when it will be released can't wait to give away my Note 8 for this beauty .

  • Well the Note 9 leaks point towards a large battery being used, and a person who went hands on with it described the battery life as "2 days of comfortable usage", or something like that

  • Well they can put a 5000 mAh as samsung did in 2016 A9 plus , the phone has the same thickness it is just a bit taller , but anyway yeah with the proper software management it could stand a day of usage even with 4000 and trsut me with such colour glamut QHD will be awsome , i am playing atm in QHD+ on my Note 8 and the colours and images are magical though the battery drains up like hell .

  • Why would they?

  • Why would you need 5000 mah? 4000 is enough and that's pretty much all they could for and still be able to use the cooling and mods. It would be cool to have 5000, but they're isn't enough space. QHD isn't needed because on a screen with 6 inches, all them pixels be jammed together. 1080p is fine.

  • Phones are smaller and serve a different purpose than laptops. A gaming phone is still a phone except with a focus on mobile gaming. There's a phone out there for everyone and the reason why these phones exist is because there's a market for them. Personally, I'm not interested in gaming phones, I prefer my S9+ but I can see the attraction to them.

  • For what? You are not using this phone underwater for better cooling:)

  • the clip on fan is included this was already announced

  • As far as i know, the ASUS ROG does not have a fan internally. There is a "clip on" attachment with a fan, that will be sold separately.

  • If only it had 5000 mAh and a QHD resolution , but i will still take this masterpiece . For those asking where are the games , there are game graphic settings that can be applied only on such phones in case you havent noticed , for example in Black Dessert online no matter if you own a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 or an S9+ or a Xiaomi Mi8 , the maximum settings can be unlocked only in razer phone atm .

  • what the phone is like a gaming setup but running on android meanwhile where r the games for it

  • i think not, because it has an internal fan, than needs an exhaust to come out from. that where the water would go in. unless they have some kind of a screen where air can pass but not liquid.

  • iphoneX? not witty aren't yah?

  • It's meant for die hard fans and those who want an extremely beastly smartphone. Plus, the Chinese are crazy about gaming phones, so I wouldn't be surprised if this sells well.

  • it is totally pointless to announce a gaming phone, why get a gaming phone as same price as a decent gaming laptop? you can always put blue stacks on a laptop, if i would choose something else instead of this, i would choose the iphone x or the blackberry key2

  • samsung gonna cry.

  • Xiaomi mi 5, got it last year for only 300 bucks, quite a beast if you dont mind its small battery and non expandable storage

  • In India whenever expected to be launch date & price for mobile ?

  • What a stellar looking device. I love the accents on the back, they're sharp and give it flair.

  • You know that Android 8.0+ devices fully support Vulkan, right?

  • jokes on you - i like that song

  • It is not ip68 ?

  • May I know what's phone model u using now?

  • Where is the IP68? :/

  • You are correct my brother.

  • My phone which cost only quarter the price of rog phone, can easily handle those games you mentioned, so there is no point in buying this phone

  • can you tell us more HEAVY games please :)

  • just shut up and take my money!

  • If you could tell us where this price is I would love to know haha

  • I cannot wait for this one. This just might be the next "The Phone" on the market

  • OP price at this time, do you think it can play smoothly on pspEmulator? etc emultor on buildin 90hz prt? i dont think so if this only equipped OpenGL against Vulkan for best 3D graphic rendering frame, or i wish theywill release a software update for Vulkan api, This is not the best phone only BEAST on price and alot of accessories ,PS: best for multi TAB for those people who loves p0rNhUb lol

  • I would buy it for the unique design... If not overpriced

  • Another nonsense phone from asus., no thanks!

  • I played PUBG on mobile as well on PC. Cant compare one with other.

  • Have you ever heard about PUBG? NOVA Legacy? Warhammers? War Robots? Mobile Legends? Torchlight? Lineage? Real Racing? and tons other CPU and GPU intensive games for Android? Mobile gaming aren't only Candy Crush or Subway Surfer. There are a lot of other games that are comparable to other gaming stations experiences. Well unless you have a silly Android that could only support Candy Crush and Subway Surfer, then you probably pro at that.

  • actually not. is that the only games you know on a phone? or you just lack knowledge about phones mr gamer

  • If you are obsessed with pubg mobile games, this phone is the best for ultra setting, not all my fren has high spec pc, they play pubg on mobile, so i need a powerful phone spec to play with friends

  • we all know that phone gamers already a thing and rog basically we could say its not a phone its a bloody super compact laptop phone (for gaming )

  • Ah come on dude, why are you so close? Not everyone has the time to play on a console or a PC. Why can't you be happy for the people that want to play good games smoothly on the go? By the way, Mobile games are far more diverse than just Candy Crush copycats. I would recommend you the "The Room" saga, Redcon, War Robots, Datawing, Lifeline, Downwell and "Yellow". Please look them up on the playstore, these are good.

  • GOod deal with 3.5mm Jack.... Even though there aint SD Slot... 128/512gb is enough.

  • People saying it doesn't have a headphone jack, but on the Asus website it shows it having one and points to a diagram of where it is on the phone.

  • Yes mr professional gamer at candy crush saga. Real gamers are on PC, Xbox, Playstation etc.

  • Definitely not ps3 emulators for android. PCs can barely handle ps3 emulation. Ps1 and maybe ps2 on the other hand, sure.

  • yea but do you actually need SD if it has a 128/512 GB of ROM?

  • 512 GB internat storage is great and all, but, If you want your data to be stolen while your phone being fixed specifically this one (because no phone in this world is immune to damage, wear and tear so on & so forth) sure, be mah guest, homie.

  • No headphone jacks to some, no dedicated microSD slot to some and none of both to some other phones. What's the point of innovation, if you can't keep the best ones from the past, right?

  • Too bad the Razer phone has no earphone jack and the ROG Phone has no dedictaed MicroSD Slot/ expandable storage. I might as well wait for the, Sony Xperia XA2 Plus or whatever.

  • how about PlayStation games? you do know that there are emulators for even ps3 games for android right? So yeah there is a high demand for horsepower in gaming. Your comment only proves you know little about what you can do with a smartphone.

  • Hello mr gamer, I suppose you are pro in Candy Crush Saga or Subway Surfer.

  • 3 words: most powerful YET. stups

  • pity? when you say gamer, does it mean only as a PC gamer? there are different classifications esp new things are being developed. if you are a basketball varsity player should you say pity chess players calling them a varsity? Pity youve got crab mentality

  • Inovation baby ..

  • Tap .. they cAn ..

  • Silly people, calling themselves gamers, but play on mobile phone. Pity.

  • Point taken.

  • I agree! I hope they sold this model in Europe! The best smartphone of 2018 (atleast on specs)! Thank you Asus, Sony, Nokia and Xiaomi for making things different... and better! :)

  • two words: most powerful + most beautiful..

  • Human's eye can't see the difference between 350 and 800 (PPI).

  • I'm going to get the Razer Phone since the ZTE and Xiaomi gaming phones are like the ROG Phone, it has no memory card slot. I have a 128GB micro SD card prepared for a gaming phone and only the Razer one fits the bill, only those who have money to burn will try to get the 512GB version of the ROG Phone as most will get the 128GB version.

  • No! Not refresh rate. Not response time. I'm talking about pixel resolution.

  • You mean refresh rate and response time? Yeah you really can. Response time usually more competitive gamers notice. Refresh rate can be noticed by anyone it makes everything smother as it allowed for higher FPS and if this is for gaming it makes sense.

  • This phone looked perfect....except for the NO CARD SLOT. Goddang, I don't want to spend extra on the 512GB version when I already have the expendable memory...

  • Can your eyes really discern the differences? Really? Come on. Even using a blind test no one can tell at all. Not even display manufacturer sees the differences.

  • super awesome asus !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is it world wide or selected markets?

  • U can't really see the difference between FHD & QHD. Even if u see a difference, what's the point of a "sharper" display if u can't play Max graphics smoothly

  • yes i know but since it a "gaming" phone everything should be maxed out.like playing games on pc...crispy...sharp...

  • Not gonna freeze another phone. Ever since I froze my previous waterpr- resistant phone and "accidentally" dropped it in the sink it got water damage.

  • That depends on your preferences bro.. plus i think ur not a gamer so check other brand that suits you.

  • This is getting out of hand, you just play mobile legends, coc.

  • Well, the phone looks cool alright, has everything. But i wont pay ASUS absurd prices specially for a phone that will last around 2 years (with luck)

  • FHD screen provides about twice the performance of QHD screen resolution. FHD is perfect. QHD offers no advantage whatever on a mobile screen. It's the screen quality that counts.

  • still can't beat my freaking old nokia 3310! lol

  • OMG! save your money.. if u want performance, get xiaomi mi mix 2s 6/64 for cheapest snapdragon 845 chipset inside..

  • Why do u need card slot for 512gb internal storage.....U need 1000gb??And yes its only 12 megapixels because its a gaming phone....duhh

  • instead of buying this for $1100 and just to play games on mobile,i'd rather get a entry level gaming laptop and kick way more butt than using this.lmao. owh wait...its 6" with 402 PPI...if it was really for gamers it would have 500+ PPI.i mean like everythings good then bam 400 PPI...dont tell me 400 PPI and 500 PPI is the same.come on.

  • back area looks like dessert eagle

  • 12MP camera is Sony IMX363 Sensor,which is a flagship sensor. F/1.8,and a large pixel size of 1.4micron!

  • its still 16:9 the 18:9 is so you can have 16:9 whilst still having the touch bar at the bottom

  • No card slot? High end gaming handphone which probably will cost someones kidneys 🤣🤣🤣 have no most important features.. and still 12 MP camera,

  • Congrats you got robbed. My P20 Pro does that with any type c to hdmi available...

  • Lol

  • Is this the future if computers?

  • My S9 can do that with Dex pad... so it's future proof

  • The sad thing about the innovation this phone has for flagship these days? The headphone jack.

  • because 16:9 is old trend

  • Why the screen is not 16:9????

  • It is not the price of the smartphone that makes up with the performance u know, that is because it is how the brand want to price their smartphones at. Every SNAPDRAGON 845 smartphone, no matter if it is cheap or expensive, can score that high, it is just based on a few situations that u are in. The temperatures of your smartphone, the amount of free RAM before benchmarking, and whether u put the smartphone to rest for a while. Trust me, freeze your SNAPDRAGON 845 smartphone (If u have at least one like me) until it reaches 15°C - 20°C, then start testing, u will get record breaking scores, topping the AnTuTu chart because the temperatures stayed pretty consistent which can help in reducing systen throttling by A LOT based on the temperatures I tested in. Heck, even my daily driver XPERIA XZ scored the highest amongst the SNAPDRAGON 820 smartphones at 166967...

  • beast!

  • So in future , smartphones could be so advanced, when not using, we will place a MiniPC type box and they could be used as desktop computers ? As it is a good quality smartphone is same price as a desktop, so why not have a multipurpose smartphone/ mini Desktop.

  • well actually Mi8 = 301k, and it's not reliable. In reality, the phone first scored 270k

  • yeah, 301k and 304k , not too much expensive

  • So does it have an sd slot and water resistance or not? Everywhere says something different.

  • game beast!!!

  • Also worth mentioning the display is 90Hz

  • I think it does have a Micro SD card slot, as bizarrely it's SIM tray holds two nano SIM's which is strange for this type of phone to allow dual carriers, but one maybe a hybrid slot for either a SIM or MicroSD, might just be left off the specs cause it's kinda expected of most phones nowa days to have a MicroSD slot.

  • Looks fantastic, any word on price?

  • Mi8 took 301k :|

  • It can not be very expensive, Xiaomi MI8 score 401k on antutu with 500 dollars price, and this phone 304k

  • this ROG phone is a monster !!

  • That 512GB internal memory is kinda BEAST!

  • Im defintly gonna try get myself this phone. I like this "edgy" look that is has. plus the two front speakers And I hardly ever use camera

  • look at the picture again, it's ugly *_____* no aesthetic at all just like Xiaomi Blackshark ! ZTE's gaming phone looks great btw

  • This can be way tooooooooooo expensive for me. Aarrrrrgghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

  • I don't think they will be releasing this soon since this gaming smartphone is only a prototype. They'll be probably releasing this phone later this yeat (Maybe around the Holiday season) or next year.

  • No, I wasn't referring to that. I was hoping that this phone would have MicroSD Slot. DIRECTLY TO THE PHONE and thru a mod or ext.

  • what 512gb you still need sd slot?

  • How much do you think it costs?

  • Chill dude it's just below $2000 USD tho.

  • Yes, it is. If you plug into the Twinview pad or another ext.

  • Yo! I thought this gaming smartphone has a MicroSD Slot for expandable storage? Wtf happened?

  • That is the point for the word "Gaming". It applies in the PC world too, it is basically just improvements on the "Founders Edition" I would say, or the original type of product. The key differences of a normal product and a gaming product in the PC world is the gaming aesthetics, the design, the improvements on all other aspects, more importantly anything that have to do with speed like fast refresh rate, overlclocking, and the addition of RGB, 100% similar to what is going on recently in the smartphone world; the rise of gaming smartphones. And since gaming products have a familiar motive in mind, which is "Speed", there is no surprise why this one only packs a 1080p FHD display, as compared to competitors like the GALAXY S9 with a 1440p QHD display (I don't need to mention the + behind, since in the end all of them are either having a FHD or QHD display regardless of different aspect ratios), it is to have better frame rates in the game. And because it is a gaming smartphone, u gotta have a more smooth experience in the game, and this is why they are using a 90hz display

  • True. Same here too. That trailer got me a lot especially with Asphalt 9 and PUBG exclusively has advantages too!

  • How much is this?

  • keep a backup phone dude

  • 2 sim

  • nothing too much added from other gaming phones except the headphone jack, the internal memory and the insane amount of accessories it has. only downside to this is gaming mode + 4k mah battery wouldn't last that too much long wish they made it more. overall would be a better than the others arond the market the only thing i'm afraid of is the price compare to the other brands

  • Best Smartphone 2018 overpower 😍

  • overpriced 1000$ usd

  • meh... facelock just for LAME user but for gaming user fingerprint is enough than that must make phone to face to lock... and its so annoying actually.

  • this all about game changer mobile phone.

  • haha this is game changer mobile phone.. why do you need face lock then lock your face hahaah

  • no facelock.....hows that...

  • it's one sim or two sim !! one sim not enough !!

  • idk, i like the looks, love the contoller, love the spec, cant wait to find the price in AUD

  • release date???!!!! wtf! i will buy this asap!!!

  • Will probably cost around 60K in India.

  • Better than black shark.

  • Now that's some specs for Q3 in 2018! Even the jack port I was always looking for! But mentioning that it can drop on concrete floor, getting lost or stolen, or even expanding its unchangeable battery and cracking its display due to constantly hot environment, like your pocket or at the beach, by not having its cooling module in daily reach... Considering all those innovations exclusively provided by ASUS at this time, I just hope this won't get too much more expensive than iPhone X.

  • The best looking and thought out gaming phone so far. I had high hopes for the Razer phone, but was disappointed. The same with the Xiaomi Black Shark. But this one looks the nicest so far. I would be keen to purchase it, but the price will probably be too high. RGB logo on the back is awesome.

  • Thanks bro, I saw! even though ROG will have about 700 British pound but, the phone is priceless.. Asus ROG Phone is high-tech smartphone (IMHO)..

  • When it will the charts the first batch of 7nm phones will be shipped... Always awesome, but always too late. This is Asus I will buy it anyway just because it's the first soul packed phone in ages

  • Goodbye savings :(

  • very true

  • This phone has an FM radio. Please look at the 1:18 minute of this video

  • shut up ASUS and take my 13th month pay

  • I am interested but for now i will stick with s9+ . Once the rog has proven reliability i would risk parting hard earned money for it. Thumbs up for a big step in the right direction.

  • Live in your old generic phone world, fella!

  • You could've just said you don't like gaming or don't like Asus at all, without the need of having to sound differently from what you actually mean.

  • So far the best phone of 2018.

  • 2.96 ghz,rip galaxy s9+

  • The Ugliest Phone 2018 and The most overpowered Phone 2018. Outstanding.

  • took the words right out of my mouth, just have to wait and see the price :P

  • THIS is hands down the most overpowered phone ever released to date. With regards to phones designed for gaming, the ROG unquestionably blows both the Razer phone and the Xiaomi Black Shark out of the water, and the only reason I'm saying this is because ASUS actually didn't remove the headphone jack unlike the two other phones. I mean, who the actual f*** would buy a phone specifically designed for gaming, if there isn't a headphone jack??? Logic?????

  • now that's called the perfect phone!

  • There is an adaptor which contains an extra screen and a 6000mAh battery

  • GG WP Asus Rog You are the best Best Smart Phone 2018

  • Watch unbox therapy's video on it he shows all of the adaptors for it with one including an extra screen and a sd card slot

  • Good bye iphone x

  • And maybe it can also grant 3 wishes and dispenses free beer.

  • It's not console..

  • 4000Mah for 8GB of ram uhmm .. lets see how long this phone can stand hard gaming

  • i hope it can stand hard gaming graphics with out easily battery draine

  • ..and, missed an option like this: 256GB Internal storage..

  • The phone could be great choice with a card slot! But, ROG is damn so beautiful!! Unique smartphone in design actually (IMO)..

  • When will be released in philippines? and price?

  • PUBG and other mobile game creating companies finance these projects.I am sure Asus wouldn't spend millions on it's project only to earn few bucks by pure customers. You may be surprised but mobile games earn way more than PC games. Many mmos on steam that are for pure PC gaming don't earn enough to make once a month updates but many mobile games earn to make updates each week. Games like clash of clans and sugar crush make way more money presented as a simple game than complexed heavy 3D games like Tera,Neverwinter,ArcheAge or Star Trek online ever will.

  • Hell yeah! good bye galaxy s9+

  • Ugly plain ugly. Yes I had an Asus phone. Gave me nothing but trouble. In warranty period the speakerphone went bad, screen went dead and headphone jack stopped working. No doubt Asus repaired it free of cost.

  • excellent phone, include stereo speakers yesss!!! finaly compareable flagship to samsung S9+ hope price will be not so high only slightly over 500-600eur but why is not fingerprint at back, under or already installed inside amoled display? rear on back ist most worse option.. sadly..

  • I have you system and I don't have any regret on that product I knew Asus will soon be the best company on mobile phone too,pls try to sell your product to Africa you will make more money and more fans .

  • Why are people stated this phone is a game-changer? Asus has always been making smartphones, and their optimization has never been the best. All they've done is slap the word "Gaming" on this device with some display improvements and a larger battery. It will still have inferior performance compared to other flagships. Also it only has a 1080p display, while the competitors generally have 1440p+.

  • For pros: Well there is no sign of the price but latest CPU GPU along with 90 hertz screen 4+ USB C charger with 20W plug for charging phone to full in less than 45 mins sounds a wesome. Display parameters are outstanding. 512GB disk should be m ore than enough for a pornkings who still crying because no SD Slot inside. 8GB ram is super and steeo speakers as well. Phone looks gorgeous. The only cons are: Camera is a bit crap but who needs a camera in a gaming phone. The headphone jack is also a cons because in furute technology this piece of history have no space. Rest is briliant.

  • I will never understand how companies justify the need to for a gaming phone or tablet. In general the games on the Play Store are either seriously casual and full of "pay to win" options or are so easy to run that a s5 could play them. The only exception that I have tried is the Nvidia Shield which is still one of the best handheld devices you can buy and has so many different features that make it worth your while.

  • Excellent Phone. Without Notch & have 3.5 mm headset. Good Job for Asus.

  • what is wrong with the word. i think 6" with fhd resolutian is a bad idea. but the storage seems good

  • There's a couple of things which this phone lacks! And its a major one!

  • awesome smartphone gaming good work asus

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
