Asus Zenfone 6 ZS630KL - User Reviews

  • nice phone..no complaint

  • When the price in my country Portugal become about 500 us dolars equivalent at about 440 euros.

  • When do you buy this phone?

  • Motherboard failure.

  • Best phone I've used

  • how do you expect to cool the camera? the camera is small and it can't have a robust cooling solution because of how it acts as the front facing camera when it flips. I'd argue this is normal but the processor is pretty well cooled

  • very happy with this phone

  • The phone has no cooling system. That's a big problem. During the game, the processor is 80 degrees Celsius. When you shoot, after 10 minutes, you have 60 celzius .... When you make 4k video, the whole phone gets hot. Plenty of motherboards go broke because of this. Asus should not sell this phone.

  • great screen on time..gsmarena rated it 114 h

  • how about the cooling sysytem of this phone?

  • Great phone so far!! Best bang for buck I've seen in a while. btw the Asus site says the SD Card slot is up to 2 TB, not 1 as shown.

  • Screen on time?

  • Outstanding camera,,love the result

  • what is exactly the problem??

  • super great phone

  • Quite expensive price between S10 and S10+.

  • Might be you have LTE but no 3G reception? The Zenfone 6 has no VoLTE/VoWiFi. If that's the case, go to the Asus ZenTalk forums and tell them to finally implement it. The more people ask, the more likely it is that they'll do it.

  • Bad call quality and reception. Data works fine but only 50% of calls go out and none come in. When I do call it's scratchy and drops out. Have full bars on signal with T-Mobile. Neither T-Mobile or Asus any help.

  • greatest phone i've ever used. super value for money

  • I think it is better for Asus to discontinue the productions of Zenfone 6 if the problem is worsened like what Samsung do to Galaxy Note 7. Shutdown this model and move on with new and better model because there is no point to continue in this case where the problem still persist and the phone are no longer available in the market.

  • Best budget phone. All of the features are better than xiami

  • What are the video formats

  • I like the camera very much

  • very good gaming experience with this phone.super fast performance and amazing battery life

  • I am using zenfone 6 for last two months , the main problem of my device is that its heating. at the charging time device temperature shows 46 degree , the phone cannot touch the hand because of the heat , and after charging its battery draining so fast . with out using my phone 25 percent battery goes on at night ,but the other phones only use 3 percentage battery at night . camera and sound quality is better and other performance is average

  • Seems that Asus is having big, big problems with this phone and production is extremely limited (meaning on hold) to limit the amount of returns and repairs. There are almost no units available from third parties (such as Amazon) and there is no available stock on the Asus store for almost 3 weeks. Seems they rushed to get this new design out and there are a significant number of issues with the flip camera, firmware and motherboard. Buyer beware.

  • The motherboard issue is being confirmed by ZenTalk admin, ASUS Zenfone official forum (you can Google for it). However, it is not clear if the issue is plague for all region or just happen on region, which might have different batch of made. It is advisable to go to the official ASUS service center to make the motherboard exchange rather than arguing who is owning the phone who made the complain. It is more like the issue happen on Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on the battery issue, but ASUS didn't make the recall like Samsung did.

  • Overall I'm okay with the phone. There have been issues I'd like to report though. The main and major one is that you can NOT restart the phone with the charger plugged in. If I do, I have to unplug it and hold the power button down for about 5 straight minutes before it will reboot to the start screen. I've haven't seen anything about this issue anywhere yet. Also the camera will sometimes say that it doesn't want to flip up right now.

  • seems like we have a big problem with the phone being bricked!!!! wondering if these actually owners are real or just trolls.

  • Very happy with this phone

  • Greatest snapdragon 855 phone

  • Super phone

  • Device died after latest update. Do not update at any cost. Phone does not hard reboot or power up. Waiting for replacement unit from Asus. Call issues were there from day 1 so this was only used as a multimedia tablet. Flip camera is a hit or miss experience.

  • Motherboard died within 6 days of purchase. Gyro was all over the place after first 2 days, i could not make it stabilize. Phone was updated to latest Aug'19 patch before it rebooted multiple times and went dead. Awaiting Asus service center for replacement.

  • Nice rotating camera

  • headphone jack and fm radio are still present..what a nice phone it is

  • using this phone for 3 weeks,,overall great experience with it. amazing battery life and camera

  • Zenfone 6 experienced multiple crashes over the last few days. No it is a bricked device. Asus service center refusing to take it. What to do?

  • Phone crashed after 5 days of normal use. I updated to latest software update as prompted but then it rebooted continuously and then died completely. Battery is fine, local shop suggests well known motherboard issue. I am yet to take it to Asus Service Center which is far from my house.

  • Motherboard crashed even on replacement unit within 5 days! What is going on, this is highly frustrating.

  • the phone works great,no issues,,the batery life is amazing

  • Phone crashed after 5 days of normal use. I updated to latest software update as prompted but then it rebooted continuously and then died completely. Battery is fine, local shop suggests well known motherboard issue. I am yet to take it to Asus Service Center which is far from my house.

  • Nice phone,,very happy with it

  • Motherboard has crashed within 24 hours of purchase. Phone rebooting continuously and turning hot. What a disaster!

  • This phone have great camera with same quality between front and rear. This phone have fm radio. This phone have headphone jack. This phone have 5000 mah battery. This phone have non oled screen which is more durable. This phone have bezelless display..what an amazing phone

  • Phone bricked within 8 days of use after Software update! Multiple crashes, phone heating and camera flipping mechanism stopped working. Upon rebooting it will not start again.

  • Haha don't get frustrated an under-screen fingerprint sensor is only possible with an amoled screen since they are a lot thinner, and this phone has an IPS LCD display. Also capacitive scanners (like the one on this device) are usually more reliable than under-screen ones.

  • Nope do not update your phone

  • Motherboard crashed after 16 days of use and recent software update. Asus Service Center quoting 60 day repair period. What is going on?

  • Best snapdragon 855 phone

  • I got my 256/8GB in Germany via Asus webshop in July, there was a short window of availability. It's really good, no issues so far!

  • Its very strange Asus is basically motherbord making company.

  • Asus recalling phones with motherboard crash. Just found this on the net, and I’ll e ry8ng this myself at the service center.

  • Phone is really good it has everything a gaming phone needs! except that it's LCD.

  • OK, right after I posted this comment, after weeks out of stock for the variant I want (Black 128GB), I go to the Asus store to check, and they have it in stock! :o Just bought it. Awesome! I'm finally gona be able to loose my old Moto G 2015 which is as slow as a snail and as spacious as a prison cell. I don't think it's gonna remain in stock for a long time though.

  • That's a real shame it's out of stock (the black 128 GB) in France and most european countries. I finally found the ideal phone for me. But it's unavailable. And I don't even know if they will sell it again in the future. :/

  • The phone specs is real good bt where to buy it in China ? coz in my country not yet available even in Africa not sure if available

  • The price of this phone in my country has skyrocketed, but some people still buy it. You can have almost two phones of similar performance for the price of this one.

  • ironically, this phone is produced in Indonesia but not yet sold in Indonesia's market.. :(

  • This phone is perfect,,so happy to have it

  • This is so basically the perfect phone for me... except it doesn't have the right frequencies! Uggghhh... so close, ASUS, so close. Make sure the American version is actually compatible with all the American carriers, please...

  • I love that it has a headphone jack, dedicated MicroSD and battery size. Only drawback for me is the IPS LCD. I'd much prefer amoled and would pay slightly more to get amoled over LCD. Hopefully the next version has amoled as that is the only single reason, but overall this phone looks awesome especially for the price

  • My phone is dead after the recent 191 update. Phone is with service center and they claim the motherboard is dead. Please do not buy this phone and did you have it do not update the software at any cost!

  • I have been using Asus 6Z (India) and its working absolutely fine. No issues with call quality or any bugs as reported by many users. The latest update 191 has improved the phone drastically. Flip camera module is extraordinary and when combined with gcam module it improves camera performance in a huge way. All in all a best VFM phone to acquire SD 855. Pricing is definitely costlier than K20 pro but then its different.

  • I guess that is different region version stock.EU or US different region....

  • I have this phone for a month now, was one of the few lucky people that bough it in Lithuania where Zenfone 6 is no longer available. I have not experienced any problems with it so far, it is a fast and realible phone. Used Zenfone 2 ZE551ML without major problems before upgraded to Z6. I can not understand why all this hate come to Asus...

  • DO NOT BUY this phone. Within a few weeks the phone started to hang and restart itself a few times a day. The frequency increased over the next week or so. Soon the phone wouldn't boot and had to manually hard boot it. Next the 2nd SIM slot malfunctioned. I sent it in for warranty repairs 3 weeks ago but they now claim the handset is not repairable due to non availability of parts. They have offered to refund me 80% of device value as a solution. So I've lost 6400 for no fault of my own. Companies like Asus will never reach the heights of its peers like Samsung or One Plus because of substandard products and even worse service. Please do not waste your money and time with such devices. I am so disappointed and poorer by 6400 and without a phone since 3 week.

  • Got mine yesterday in Finland. This phone feels so good.

  • Does the A,B, or C versions when referring to 4G coincide with your ram/GB amounts? Meaning Version C 8GB Ram, 256GB mem?? Or is there something else that differentiates this?

  • I just tried to updated from 167,then 174,so far no problem at all ( I update coz the camera have problem while using whatsapp and take picutres with front camera,it won't auto turn upside down properly,or will not closed the proper position and says something stuck the camera (actually nothing block the camera but can't turn back ) now have 189 comeout already, coz I just updated 174 I have to use some days to try it if it's work normally so that I can update again .

  • Here’s a video of phone dying after update 167. Asus recalling phones selectively.

  • Hoping this coming September.

  • Asus has confirmed hardware issues in Motherboard causing phones to reboot, malfunction and go dead:

  • No is not !

  • No is not , i did not find it in any online store .

  • 3 months and counting. approaching 4 months by mid september, and still no release on philippines.

  • Honestly, you bothered typing basically the same comment under different names? Lol I don't even think you're serious now.

  • I don't like under display fingerprint!

  • it is available in romania now

  • End of August and no trace of Z6 in Europe ...shame .

  • Not try to be hater, but there really is an official response by ASUS saying the updates of .167 cause the phone crash. You can Google search Zentalk, Phone Crashing and Network Problems AFTER 167 OTA!!! It is said to be motherboard issue. The only solution is go to ASUS service center to get the motherboard replaced. Many bitter on the replacement due to not bought the device locally with local warranty (bought at other country, or imported set), and get charged for motherboard replacement fee. This going to be a motherboard gate by ASUS. PS: Even update the phone to .174 also causing the same problem. Luckily this phone is not yet release at my country region.

  • Lol, get with times. Either use Cloud or use an app. There's a couple (of million!) on Google Playstore

  • try comparing speed of in display and rear mounted

  • Fried motherboard. Phone only lasted 2 weeks as a superheating tablet with faulty camera and unusable as a calling device. Last update finally drove it to its cold, waiting grave.

  • I am using Asus Zenfone3 for years but going to get this Zenfone6. Through my experience with Zenfone3, the first 1-2 years the system updates is quite often, not until after two years, system updates is no longer happens and stuck at Android 8.0 As I am software developer, Google had a bug made on Android 8.0 and only fixed at 8.1 Which make me hard to debug the phone after it stuck at Android 8.0 So far the system updates all the way from 7 to 8.0 is ok on Zenfone3. ...two features that make this phone special: 1TB microsd card and QZSS (Japan GPS) support.

  • selling phone for 500 euro but still fingerprint scanner not under display.. what the hell??

  • Do not install update , my phone has crashed again and again and now has become dead paperweight. Waiting for service center to respond.

  • The bad part of Asus they don't provide stable update to it's devices. They provide update but not stable update after sale service very poor they only downgrade your software to fix issues but this is not the remedy. If software is bugy better to stop providing bugy software at least performance of devices will not deteriorates for certain aspects.

  • Phone dead after latest update. Appears to be a fried motherboard. Why is Asus pushing untested software?

  • Your grammar is awful

  • Bricked phone after update 167. Fatal crash, loss of connectivity, reboot failure after recent update.

  • When appears something bringing more, (in this case for less), invariantly appears the trolls.

  • Almost 3 months after release its not available in Europe

  • i dont want my notes on the cloud

  • Where is the edition 30 review atlest add a rummored tab people actualy have tryed it and reviewed it awredy im buying one in 13 days and you guys still dont have even a review on it come on i aweys go to you for do i buy it or not for years now and you totaly let me down this time :X

  • I already saw so many different forums and I can think that if anyone got bricked because the user not using mobile os upgrade(with steady wifi signal),or use with your own method to download the firmware not completely or wrong version to fresh it caused, that's why it bricked easily. (not just asus have, almost other brand of phone also have that kind of problem as well. I'm using 6G128G version phone and just updated the first os with wifi and don't have any problem at all,167,174 not yet update coz my phone dont have any big issue so I no need upgrade all the time.

  • Bought around 1month using, my opinion is: Good : big battery with no any gaming it could be long last; Actually 100% full screen; tricky and foldable (HI resolution) camera ,fast CPU ,play pubg ,with no lag; for normal use thats also fast enough; hi speed ac wifi support;basic version of memory is better than other same range of zf6( very expected the limited edition will have soon), even like this big volume but still could be able to use bigger micro sd!!! well done~ Bad : Asus issue all the ways, photo problem; First before I bought it I saw that's 48Mp resolution of camera, but actually, you'll just only could be used 12Mp all the time if u need those auto function (normal picture with no function, professional mode still can use 48Mp) that's some of the users from Taiwan and HK already annoying this problem ,yes is that like 90's DC ,SW interpolation again? oh god! And the other problem: do not manual twist the camera while filming! unless you gonna mute the clips and remake some music or voice later coz you can hear the motor noise . And about this camera, as so many ppl have the issue, the cam it will loose itself randomly, even I already not using the volume turning . last thing is; when u using whatsapp to hear voice msg, it always fail to listen coz the sensor is different. My opinion is, Asus is doing a good, resonable price of like high-ended phone but it still not good enough for their hardware and software issue,I already used over 3 pcs of their phone but it feels like, xiaomi's (I also used few models as well) every hardware an software doing better and better,no matter someone says xiaomi made cheap phones, but their techicnal support is much better than Asus nowadays.

  • It has a double Sim tray and an extra SD card tray, so triple

  • Can I have this phone? Which websites and from which country? Asus no longer turkey: ((

  • Crashed repeatedly after latest update. Bricked phone now. Flipkart India not accepting returns or responding to calls or Service Requests as it is outside the 15 day period.

  • This phone does NOT have a "Tripple" slot, it has 1 SIM slot, and a second slot that can do either SIM, or SD Card, not both...

  • google keep.... is the only notes app you need in life

  • Dead in 3 days because of motherboard issues- it started off with multiple crashes over the first 2 Days and the phone dying on the 3rd. All attempts to boot and hard reboot have failed. Flipkart replacement process is sheer harassment!

  • The major issue is that of voice clarity during calls. Even HD calls are not recognisable. The voice comes cracky.

  • Flipping mechanism has stopped working. It will only Flip to about 70 degrees and then stop. Device was bought on Flipkart Sale last week.

  • no asus supernote app in there.

  • I find it kind of unlikely that people choose to spend their free time to come here only to leave fake "troll" comments about issues regarding this phone (call problems, heating) unless they actually have experienced them! Are they somehow gaining something by doing that? Wanting to help their favorite brand by bashing Asus here and hoping it will make less people want to buy this phone? Seems far-fetched to me to say the least... Could it perhaps instead be that they happen to be the unlucky ones to have gotten a bad copy and the majority of people who has gotten a good unit don't take their time to come in here and leave comments to the same extent as people who are experiencing issues? Still would mean you run the risk of having these issues if you happen to get a defective unit but maybe it is like 1 in every 10000 hard to say...

  • Yeah.RGB led notification light.

  • For anyone using the phone, is the notification led a RGB one?

  • Someone please tell me if this asus has a native notes app like samsung or huawei, I know there was asus supernote in old models of zenfones but i think it disappeared. And also does it have a private space or can you add other user profiles

  • Yeah, Asus are just sitting there in their HQ reading comments on GSM Arena, waiting to refund your money. Oh, hang on, they aren't. Duh.

  • OP7 or Asus6z? Pros n cons pls

  • Cannot make calls now even after using a headphone. Last update has also ruined earphone functionality. Asus please refund my hard earned money!

  • There are NO call issues and heating issues. Thats just the Trolls lying here.

  • It has a triple slot. SD card slot and 2 x 4G sim card slots.

  • US pre-orders starting: Just ordered my 8GB... @Anon, the storage size of the phone is less important on this phone because it is one of the few that has an SDcard slot, so in a way, all versions of this phone are the 2TB model...

  • Then get used to it. I have a Nokia 8 and it's getting problems that could've make customers throw it away but I dealt with it like it's nothing. Gets hot when gaming while charging at the same time, phantom touches like my phone registered touches on areas that I didn't even touch, auto removed fingerprints and the like. I just don't care and still cherishes it while moving on. I'll act the same on Zenfone 6.

  • If they launch that base model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage for around $500/$600 that is an insane deal! I mean sure, the phone does not have an SD card slot so I can see why some people would want to grab the 512 GB storage model... But I would think 128 GB is enough for most and the extra RAM is more or less pointless unless you're a crazy power-user that uses a hefty amount of applications!

  • in china rog 2 base price is 3499 yuan =504$ 8/128 for 12/512 - 864$ hmmm.. good deal for gamers

  • I Like this New phone very Very Best Design

  • This phone was bought as a gift on birthday... Thank you Asus for ruining the moment! Yesterday I got this and today it's the second day and already all the issues started 1. the display is showing 2 lines on it 2. the phone gets hanged 3. sometime multiple applications starts at at a time automatically and even by pressing home button does not work. It feels like an untested phone was shipped !

  • From what I've read the ROG Phone 2 is coming in early September and GSMarena even has the status "expected release August@ so it should be just around the corner... I'm just not sure if it is worth buying over the Zenfone 6... ROG Phone 2 is expected to cost around 900 dollars compared to the 500 dollars that Zenfone 6 is priced at! Also I am not a person who likes to swap out phone every other year so I want a phone for several years which is why I'm worried about screen burn-in which at the same time makes me question if getting a AMOLED phone is stupid and if it would be smarter to choose the Zenfone 6. But with all the call issues and heating issues I read about it here I'm hesitant to go for it as well...

  • Rog Phone 2 realese date: 2019 Christmas. ( in Europe) or 2020 .....Asus 6 : normal video calling: 10 minutes and very hot...".fab " phone

  • Dont confysed Go with the s10e

  • I see... Is this only the case when you use the phone to record video in 4k 60 fps that it reaches these kind of temperatures? For example if you just use it for normal video calls does that pressure the phone in the same way so that it gets really hot in a few minutes? What about when you play the most demanding games available... Does that pressure the phone as much or are the temperature levels fine when gaming? You are saying that it also reaches these temperatures by just using the camera app and taking photos for 20 minutes and it even shuts down and turns off if you try recording video for too long? I'm struggling to decide if this heating issue is a big enough problem for me and if I am better off going for Asus ROG Phone 2 which I would assume has solid cooling since it is intended for gaming and has special design with this in mind... The price difference will probably be pretty big however and I'm also worried about AMOLED display and burn-ins which is why I was thinking to buy the Zenfone 6 since it has LCD! Anyone here with some advice on whether to go for this Zenfone 6 or wait for the upcoming ROG Phone 2?

  • 20 minutes photo...or .2X 5 minutes video ( 4 K fps 60) : the phone and flip camera cca. 60-70 celzius very hot. The flip camera, selfie mode ( 4 K fps 60), 5 minutes .cca.70 celzius, once more 5 minutes, and the phone off.

  • Does the phone get hot even from normal usage like for example playing games or doing video calls or is it only from really demanding tasks?

  • The phone gets hot as the two motherboards fit together without a heat sink - this is clearly revealed and highlighted in Jerry's put-out video.

  • It can throttle the CPU clock speed to cool it. Tweaking the task scheduler and speed governor

  • Video length limit of 5 minutes is done to avoid paying extra tax/import duty by labelling it as a video recorder (higher tax slab)

  • Call quality issues REMAIN, unfortunately. Phone gets hot because of the way the 2 motherboards are sandwiched together without a heat sink provision - this is clearly revealed and highlighted in Jerry's teardown video.

  • Any news about availability for the USA? I'd love it if there was a new model, but I doubt Asus will do one.

  • What does Asus want to do with the phone getting hot? Updating software, So this is a hardware error.

  • If you are Indian, the call quality is just as shitty. asus the hot temperatures that occur during photography and video

  • It takes time for sure ... demand is much bigger, than predicted. (and ROG Phone II starting as well!) Phone is sold out evrywhere, only to get, when placing pre-orders. This days available (in black, silver is incoming) on asus store inTaiwan. Check resellers from Taiwan or HK, f.e. Expansys PH and ...)

  • can any one please tell...Call quality issue is solved? I'm waiting for this issue to solved or otherwise shall i buy any other device....please anyone reply

  • are there no releases on PH? we've been waiting for almost 2 months ffs

  • Had this phone for about a month and a bit. really good phone havent had any problems would reccomend it to anyone. Chose this over the oneplus 7 & the redmi k20 pro because the video recording on the zenfone is so good; it doesnt have OIS but holy crap the EIS is so damn good. Only thingh i noticed recently is when polaying graphic heavy games the phone screen gets really hot. puts me off a bit sometimes but hey

  • Can we hide the upper portion of screen like we hide notches, cuz bottom bezel is big and the screen is uneven when playing pubg.

  • Does anybody try to change imei? I realy wonder it is possible or not.

  • White spot appears on camera lens every time phone heats up to 50-60 degrees after using camera for 5 mins!

  • he asus 6 also limits the 4K FPS video length to 5 minutes. Only here will the phone be 70 degrees Celsius ....LOL

  • Samsung S10e

  • Please help me choose between zenfone 6 vs s10e(exynos) really confused..

  • the heat will damage the optics. Temperatures of 60-70 degrees will kill you soon. such temperatures damage the phone components.

  • Calling issues still persist after recent upgrade. Lowering volume to 80% and disabling outdoor mode does not help. Is this an issue with my device or are you all also facing the same after July'19 update?

  • Wonderful comment knowing that you don't have one in your hand to confirm those 'features' you just gathered those b...t infos from other persons talking about it, who don't have it either... Good thing is that there will be one more available on stock as it looks like it is difficult to buy one. ;-)

  • I have Mi 9 (only bought for a month, china version but changed to global stable rom). ram 6GB/128 GB. I wanna change directly ( it is more than 50 % of ur price). please confirm if u interested. tell me ur specifications.

  • New supply 6G/128G Black sold out in one day in Taiwan. Silver sold out as well. You can find some pre-order listings in Europe this time, but act quickly if you will get one.

  • elsewhere video is limited to 5 min. or even less! lol picture-processing is a very high load, so heating is normal

  • you make long video! telephone and flip kamera is hot. very hot. this is not normality.

  • Haven't got any issues with the temperature so far.. But I haven't made any long videos for the moment.

  • Yes I got from Darty. But I don't know if they are shipping abroad, if you're not leaving in France...

  • It's been annouced that it will be available for prepurchase July 31st.

  • Samsung Note 8 is more premium smartphone and Asus 6Z is mid range flagship grade phone.Display,Camera and Software experience everything is perfect with Note 8

  • Where did you buy? Do you recommend Darty? They will probably get any soon.

  • Asus totally botched this phone 's introduction. I have been waiting since May but no more.

  • How are you invested?

  • After 20 minutes of shooting and mainly video, the phone heats up terribly. approx. 70 celzius. The flip camera and the whole phone will be very hot. Does it apply to me only? I think it's a hardware failure. Software updates cannot fix this.

  • Getting SIM Not Found Error after last update, how to roll back?

  • Few phones in 6GB / 128GB black versions are available in French market place. But I had to go really quick to get it. All were sold in less than 24hours..

  • Poor you and me...too late to present in the market.

  • when will release this phone on the philippines?

  • They completely botched the UK order, if I wasn't so invested in the phone I would have bought something else buy now.

  • is missing allover the europe , canot place an order , Asus sayz it will be on market by end of August ...loosing patience .

  • Oh great, thank you very much for your enlighten. it will be my next phone, but unfortunately my country did not sell out in market yet.

  • Where do you buy your phone? it's out of stock everywhere I checked (asus estore the whole eu), it's impossible to place an order, I'm losing my patience

  • Yes you can record a single or all conversations..

  • Hi Guy, i'm also a fan of Asus Fone so far, Since Zenfon2, Zenfone3, Asus build in call recording automatically, while you guy already using it, Does this Asus Zenfone 6 got this options of call recording automatically? I'm looking to buy this phone too with this options. In my market this phone not yet out for sell. Thanks in advance for your reply. thanks.

  • What are you waiting for getting into contact with your seller, rather than complaning and trolling here? Do you think that someone here has a solution for you???

  • Guyzz I have purchased Asus Zenfone 6(Asus 6z in India).. Everything is brilliant n a perfect practical phone..n those who are facing issues in call quality, just go to "Sound" in setting n disable "outdoor mode" n then check call quality.. it's better.. for me no call quality issue...perfect smartphone n u won't miss AMOLED bcoz it's display is absolutely brilliant.. Go for it guyzz

  • Severe call quality issues from day 1 and GPS does not work anymore now. My device is only 2 weeks old. Last update has improved camera focusing and night-time clarity. But issues with calling and location tracking render most of the functionalities useless.

  • Phone stuck in bootloop after recent update!

  • 30th Anniversary special edition of this phone announced, 12GB+512GB+Special Shell+Special Warranty+Only 3000 made...

  • So many bad comments here.. Are you sure you have this phone? Or are you sure you don't have a bad chinese copy? Got this phone for 3 days now after more that 2 years with a LG V20. _ Battery life is just great!! close to 2 days in intense use. _ Screen is just perfect, even if it is not a AMOLED one. Brightness is fin even under sunlight _ Good quality manufacturing _ Good pictures.. and so many other good features Really no complains. Maybe the weight which is quite important.. My 2 cents..

  • yes.. i guess

  • sir in asus 6z.. does it make crackling sound only in earpiece during call?? or do we still hear the crackling sound effect even if we use the headphones??.. is it the transmission issue or the earpiece issue??

  • Why do you say that, what did the update do?

  • I am confused in samsung note 8 & asus 6z, those who are using please help how is the camera quality & audio quality & display, Thanks

  • Phone is dead after yesterday's update, this is heights!

  • They say it is a joke phone thru their opinion,.. then why it is sold out in some country?

  • Asus 6z Start Rebooting again and again after update. Finally it is dead and Flipkart is not ready for exchange as it happened after 12 Days.I heard similar issue from other user but after service center update his software that start working. But my phone is permanently dead.Still waiting for update from service center.

  • display very good? good? or bad? brightness?

  • New update fixes Asus Zenfone 6 camera rotation issues, improves image quality and improve call quality.

  • Words get out ? Lol you are fake

  • I have a problem with my 6Z. When I connect or restart it with the sim card inserted, the device simply does not give life signal, if I eject the tray it turns on and only then can I put the sim card again ... more anyone with this problem in 6Z?

  • His phone probably is a chinese copy!

  • Cannot get GPS to work, apparently it is a hardware problem. Check out the thread on XDA, now looking to sell this phone before the word gets out.

  • Ohh is it?How much u gt paid for this? I am using 6Z and I dnt have any problem with Call making or Network reception

  • Is the zenfone 6 gonna launch in the UAE?

  • GPS has problems with applications like Uber, Food Apps and Whatsapp. Location information from GPS sensor/Carrier does not populate coordinates correctly for these apps to work. Google Map has to be restarted once in every 3 times. WHy isn't anyone reporting GPS issue?

  • ASUS should had implemented an AMOLED or OLED display. For 500€ it isn't bad but the IPS ...

  • im really like to buy this smart phone but after see the negative comment it almost make me want to change my mind to buy the asus zenfone 5z but after I look at the comment before asus 6z get launch in india it don't have any problem at all so I think the problem just happen on 6Z variant and not asus ZenFone 6(the global vision) I hope asus release the phone to other asia country soon as possible btw hope asus india can more careful went release phone or update or people will hate asus product

  • Since you cannot use it to make calls, I’m using it as a camera tablet. A couple of observations- Camera does not focus in slow motion. And device gets incredibly hot after continuous use of 5 mins. Yes, you read that right, 5 mins! Gaming is no different with the device reaching 60 degrees after 10 long mins of continuous gaming.

  • If U want phone with 5.45 inch there is one, Redmi 7A. There are another phone (almost same specs) with smaller battery than Zenfone 6/6z but can have better battery efficiency than this one. Phone with 5000mAh and display size around 5.99 to 6.99 inch should can last more than 24 hour, atleast 36 hour. If it cannot last for 24 hour its meaningless to have massive size battery and its better to us to buy phone with smaller size battery

  • Bigger screen more battery drain, tough smaller screen means you have room for smaller battery, best ratio I have seen is 5.45inch + 4000mAh battery. ^_^

  • Getting 1 day of average battery usage average on moderate use. This device is still rare so hard to compare mine with another but I’ve seen the Pixel 3a and Oneplus 7 consistently get through >1.5 days. Call quality problems are very real, thank god we have a headphone jack as a workaround. I do not call much so my use is mainly as a mini-tablet. In slow-motion, camera does not focus and night time photos are bad. I can not afford to buy another phone this year so hope Asus fixes these problems soon via updates.

  • 5000mAh cannot last for 1 day usage ? Thats really bad, its should at least stand for 2 days. Cannot make a call ? Thats the basic use of phone, what a terrible phone we have here.

  • Of course they regret after buy this phone because its spec look nice on paper but on reality its worse. i have told your so this phone are not so good as your think but people never listen.

  • "the known manufacturing defects" any reliable proof/source for that? It is known, that you only have to do some settings ... and the ASUS 6z has good ratings and reviews even on Flipkart, despite "the known" amount of trolling people in India. I follow ASUS India on Twitter, it is just terrible that you are doing there ...

  • I was planned to buy this.now seems many people regret with their purchase.

  • I think he meant "cannot make calls using the phone's in-built microphone". I am facing the same issue and calling does not work unless using a headphone with mic. Indian Retailer Flipkart is not issuing Refund and the only option is Replacement - which given the known manufacturing defects, doesn't improve the situation.

  • "2 weeks usage of one phone, that cannot make phone calls" Your story is very reliable. lol (... and the solution (some settings) is posted even here!) Why you did not apply for exchange or refund, instead of trolling here?!

  • And Notebookcheck's review confirms it too. Also i noticed the GPS is quite crappy, so are speakers and display has poor uniformity. And battery is pretty average. So this is a great phone on paper, but still typical Asus - poorly build, poorly optimized.

  • Yes, tried 4 SIMs, different carriers. My colleague is also facing the same issue. We were very excited when we bought it but now this seems to be the biggest joke =(

  • Feedback after 2 weeks usage. The Asus Zenfone 6/6z CANNOT: 1. Make phone calls 2. Take low light photos 3. Focus while shooting in slow motion 4. Last 15 mins of gaming or video without getting unbearably hot (>60 degrees) 5. Get through 1 full day of battery usage on single charge, with day starting at 9am.

  • Thats becouse the phone will be available until the 17th Juli in north america, (in about 2 days!) its not released yet

  • Have you tried a different SIM in the phone? Or getting a replacement sim?

  • Have a sinking feeling of wasted my hard earned money. I am not able to make calls with this device despite getting full network connectivity. Only connects voice calls 2/10 times and when the call is connected I am unable to hear the other person. Disabling Outdoor mode makes no difference at all as all I can hear is noise. I have tried this at different locations (workplace, home, friend's place) before registering a complaint with retailer. Hope I get a refund.

  • Those who have earpiece issue, please disable sync volume and outdoor mode, then your problem will be solved 😊

  • stock is really low. Please we want it here in Philippines. I will wait until August. If there is no stock until august i will just buy Samsung A80.

  • When do you release the Asus Zenfone 6 here in the philippines? so disappointing

  • This isasue seems to be only in India. Asus india has mentioned software alteration done for Indian variants.

  • FYI Preorder starts at 12am ET, Thu Aug 01 at B&H Photo in US (ASUS online store may be earlier, check it in coming days) It is usual, that some markets starting months later (or never lol). Gearbest/ China-shops offer Asian version (model B at ASUS), so limited 4G Bands support for EU and US! Demand is much higher, than supply, so some retailers asking over list price. I still do not know a better option in this price range ... so You can suggest some phones with - full-screen (without any disturbing things, like notch & co.) - flagship SoC, - 3,5mm audio out, - color notification light, - 3 card-slots and - at least 5000mAh battery

  • This is only a WiFi-tablet and not a phone. You cannot make calls with this device at all. 4G and 3G reception are non existent. Indian retailers are not accepting returns and consumer complaints are piling up! Also, night time camera is bad with flash not working.

  • I was planned to buy one.......give up now. Still cant get one in the North America market. Gearbest is selling it on $549 for 64gb Model which is 50$ higher than MSRP, and not sure it is global model. I was the best phone for me when it first released, but now I can find better option after 2 month

  • Question about wifi6 do you have a number indicating the type of connected wifi Network?

  • A very good quality phablet but too expensive price...unaffordable for budget les people.More than 90 % worldwide people.Comment based on gsmArena specification and its disclaimer.Dearest Asus . Why so unaffordable , 60 % extra price....PA !?

  • Sold out in one day! (ASUS eShops in 17 countries accross Europe.) Amazon DE list pre-order for ZF 6 with higher price now. Original asus-collection Stand Case launched in Europe.

  • 2 months since this phone was announced and stock is really low (no left at all store I checked: us, eu, asia), nicely done asuck. The phone is nice but it's better if user can buy it. When will it be released in SEA?

  • Please disable the outdoor mode. Then I thing every thing is fine.

  • Unable to make calls. It's not the call quality but the phone hangs when trying to make a call. As a result, you can only accept but not make any. Also the camera Flash timer is off - it fires 2-3 seconds after the photo is taken which makes it unusable and often embarrassing in public.

  • I guess this is one of asus marketing staff or just a sales promotion staff [?], I can see it from how he/she counter all negative opinions and everyone who complaining issue about this phone. hahah

  • There is in fact a problem, even if you choose to ignore it. Many people are reporting this issue. Until now, from the feedback that I gathered, this problem seems to be affecting only the Indian variant of the phone which has VoLTE enabled for the calls. The european users that gave feedback are reporting good call quality but without VoLTE support. Different things could be happening here: 1-the different variants could be using different speaker hardware integrated in the FlipCam, explaining the difference in audio quality; 2-VoLTE is capable of reproducing a wider range of sound frequencies which, in theory, greatly improves the call quality (such as VoiceHD codec over some 3G operators) but in practice could be causing the distortion if the speaker is unable to handle them, especially the lower tones which causes more vibrations; 3-software/implementation bugs. Maybe some incompatibility issues with some operators are happening; 4-All of the above :P In conclusion, if the speaker hardware is the same for all phone variants, and the problem becomes apparent by using VoLTE, this issue can eventually spread to other countries when Asus adds VoLTE support for more carriers. This is truly an amazing phone, but I prefer to wait a bit longer to see how this plays before spending my hard-earned money.

  • Feeling AWSOME. My busy life need day 1time charge. Good cam. Good display. . great speaker. 3.5 jack Hattsoff...thanks to 5k mah .. very small mobile but 6.4 inch display. Blindly u can buy this. This tym looks stockandroid.

  • awsome features. its ips lcd but looks better than amoled in some angles. bottom speaker fireing louder than iphone. no complaints . low budget better than many flagships.better than oppo reno 10x. oneplus7. some ppl complaining but asus great. os stock android. untouchble. all the best for futre.

  • There are major issues with calling. Your voice is audible to the other person but the other person's voice is not audible to you. One can only hear noise. FLipkart- Indian retailer is not accepting returns. THis is unacceptable Asus India! I

  • Version w/ 128GB of storage available again in ASUS eShops accross Europe. Lots of retailers listing it with short delivery time. I think other versions coming in next days as well ...

  • The big issue seems to be at you. Can t you check reviews and user opinions? Some noisy user (?) from India are complaining, but the phone has good reviews and ratings on Flipkart through buyers.

  • ... man it is a common state, even if a product is very popular. Global versions of Xiaomi/ Redmi phones came allways months later and never came US versions, despite Xiaomi is a much bigger player on phone-market. It takes months to prepare production ... and who complains, knows nothing about supply-chain & Co. for sure. People are very impatient nowadays.

  • Can anyone confirm that this call issue with very distorted sound (because of the speaker being integrated inside the FlipCam) is only affecting the Indian variant? Or has someone with a variant for Europe, for example, experienced the same problem? If it also affects the European version, I would be very surprised, as even GSMarena does not mention anything about this HUGE issue. Every phone should be able to handle calls... Otherwise it is just a small tablet... :( If this is, in fact, a global issue (affecting all variants), it is incredible how a big issue like this passes the early stages of quality control and reaches the massive production stage!!!

  • not yet available in Indonesia...!

  • I don't know man, he has a right to complain as a consumer like everyone else in the market. This has always been Asus's problem when it comes to releasing new models of their smartphone, which in turn will make them lose money and people if you put out an attractive product like this.

  • Phone was available in late May in Europe as announced and accompanied by other storage-versions through June. The phone was released in Russia, Taiwan, Hong-Kong and India in the maintime. Lots of markets still waiting, so do not complain.

  • But you had the opportunity to pre-order the phone at B&H Photo for US-price ... and get it among first, when launched in US. The phone is very popular everywhere, can be bought mostly through pre-orders in Europe as well. Pre-orders are always sold out! Only few smaller - not very wellknown - ASUS retailers have one version in stock left. Thats it, if phone popular and price is good.

  • Unable to make calls with this phone. The microphone and earpiece do not work. After reading the comments this is the first thing I checked upon purchase and unfortunately the reviews are true. Calling doesn't work on this device. To make matters worse, I took it to service center and they are falsely blaming me for physically damaging the phone. It's funny because I took it to the center within 24 hours of unboxing the phone. I am going to register a formal complaint with the company for 1. manufacturing a defective product and 2. then trying to cover up.

  • This is part of ASUS biggest issue, they take the approach of Xiaomi, to control the supply to make the cost dow, so they cannot supply the phone on demand. Not all Asia country can get the phone too. This is the fate of smaller smartphone brand that try to compete with the market, but don't have the capacity to supply it.

  • Have you bring to service center to check? Service center is one of the way. Not trying to hide the issue, but it is important to do so.

  • One cannot make calls with this device purchased in India/Asia region. This is not a calling device. It's a great camera (only daylight), a decent gaming device and a reasonable screen with good battery - overall a great tablet device, which cannot make calls. There are no plans shared by Asus to fix the calling issue in upcoming updates. Please be mindful before purchasing.

  • Pros and cons and all, but HOLY SH*T this was announced as "released in May" , and it's STILL not on the US store in July?!?!?!?! It's like they only want PR and don't want actual money?!?!?! And no, I'm not going to import it from TW or EU for a +$200 premium.

  • Can't even buy this phone anywhere in the USA. Not available on Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon, BhPhotoVideo, Ebay, etc. Banggood and GearBest have the Asian market version for a huge markup with limited band support in the US...

  • The call quality is pathetic. The voice that u hear is shrill yet low and it's very difficult to hear. The main purpose of a phone is gone with that. If anybody knows or has been in touch with Asus about this and if they have confirmed of a software upgrade to improve upon this then then u can consider buying this phone else u will be really disappointed . Let me know if anyone knows how to improve it else it's a waste.

  • Asus 6z scores well, but what about call quality and SAR value. I guess SAR value is high.

  • This is the saying where every smartphone has their own pros and cons. Each has their own selling point. Price per feature wise, I think this Zenfone 6 has out value other smartphone on the market at the same price point. Redmi K20 Pro comes at very close competition, provided if K20 Pro really have global presence rather than just a market dependent smartphone. Yes, this smartphone has cut corners, but with justifiable price point, meaning they perform cut corners in conjunction with the price cut too. They charge less with less features, they are much more honest than other overpriced brand out there.

  • The way I see this phone is only lacking IP rating (water resistant), no wireless charging, lack telephoto camera. Others lacking are choices for cost cutting. AMOLED or LCD: It is about display quality, cost and also durability consideration. It still got a LCD screen, of course the reason it use LCD is to lower the selling price. ASUS decided don't want to go head to head to Samsung/LG/Huawei/Sony. In Display or Physical Fingerprint Reader : Another choices thing, nothing is lacking here. Both are fingerprint reader. In Display fingerprint only workable on AMOLED screen, so definitely LCD screen is out of question. It is more on the cool factor decision rather than a functional decision. OIS/No OIS : This is very subjective. OIS in smartphone do not help much to improve the image quality. It is EIS and post processing that impact the most on the final resulting image. It is having the same high end camera sensor, but subjectively to exclude the OIS. So, no right and wrong here, it is simply down to the choices. If AMOLED/Telephono/In Display fingerprint is the priority, at the low price there are Xiaomi Mi9, Redmi K20 Pro, all have their own pros and cons, and only Xiaomi Mi9 offer wireless charging at that price point, but with notched screen. If you still not satisfy, please see the price again, clearly this smartphone is targeting different market segment. PS: To be most fair, for notch less smartphone at this period, Redmi K20 Pro and ASUS Zenfone 6 are the starter for this year that sport SD855. Rise up there, there are Oneplus 7 Pro and OPPO Reno 10x Zoom.

  • Come on guys, can we just stop and appreciate this phone. Its a budget flagship with everything we need Asus went all out for this price point and gave us all the wonderful specs out there. It may lack 2 to 3 critical things for you but it still have 10+ critical features that are soon to be extinct Honestly, im also craving for Amoled screens ( since most comments talks about oleds anyways). But with everything this phone has, I am more than willing to use LCDs " again " coz I know its going to be a worthy sacrifice

  • Can you suggest an other phone with - 3 slots, - 5000mAh battery, - color notification light, - stockish Android (and OEM with good update record) oh wait - front cams with AF and ultrawide would be nice as well. your turn! and please no burn-in, flicker OLED dp! WE do not like that.

  • Are you sure about this ? Do you have any proof to support your statement ?

  • Advantage of this phone is bigger capacity battery 5000mAh, huge internal memory and also can support massive external memory card, 3.5mm audio jack (this features are abandon by most of another flagship phone), FM radio, and thats it. This phone lacks Amoled/Oled screen, specific selfie/front camera use motorized flip up rear camera, only have 2 main rear camera others have 3 and also dont have telephoto camera and no OIS, not very fast quick charge 18W others use more than 20W, use back mounted finger print scanner other use under display front screen finger print scanner.

  • Doesn't matter what kind LCD display it have it still inferior to Amoled or Oled display.

  • "Version w/ 256GB storage sold out in India in short time", are you very sure about this ? Do you have any proof to support your statement ? I doubt it.

  • IPS lcd

  • Version w/ 256GB storage sold out in India in short time. Same preordered phones starting in Europe in ASUS eShop. More shops start selling/ listing other versions across Europe some with hefty prices.

  • Ok thanks...but is it bad to have an LCD this time compared to how premium the AMOLED feels in the market now?

  • Is VoWiFi available in this phone? Are both SIM 4G VoLTE simultaneously?

  • Because of this call quality issue I was on the verge of buying this handset, but cancelled. Please update us when the call quality issue is solved. I am hoping to buy the silver version whn it comes to India, hoping at that time, they will solve this issue I mean with a new motherboard or ear speaker...fingers crossed

  • Please rectify the audio call quality. It is really very irritating

  • .. or even recognize* the voice

  • Call Volume & Quality - renders this otherwise fantastic devise UNUSABLE! Asus needs to fix the tweaks they made to the Indian version, because the receiver of the present device distorts the incoming audio to such an extent that you cannot understand the content or even voice of the person calling you. This happens irrespective of the volume or network. Even the latest .133 patch does nothing to address it. Yes, secondary issues (lowlight camera performance and heating) also needs work and can be sorted later as software fixes, but they need to fix the primary feature of the phone first - Calling!

  • Asus Zenfone 6 use ZenUI not Stock Android like Max Pro M1 and M2.

  • How is it performing in your daily use especially battery back up and the cameras? Need some true user inputs before buying it to replace my Mate 20. TIA -,-

  • yes.

  • How is the call quality brother..? Some users told that, during call some irrelevant noice happens.

  • This phone is able to install GCam?

  • New OTA update rolling out in EU ZS630KL_EU_16.1210.1906.156 400MB Release Note 10.Updated Security Patch to June, 2019 1.Enabled ARCore 2.Improved Video Call Experience 3.Camera; Enabled 8X zoom in Photo mode 4.Camera; Removed the time limit for FHD video recording 5.Camera; Added the function: to start/stop video recording with Volume Keys in Camera app 6.Optimized Screenshot Stability and solved bug related to screenshot functionality 7.Enabled TaiwanMobile VoWiFi 8.Camera; Improved Photo Image Quality on Noice Reduction 9.Camera; Improved Camera Flipping Stability

  • please do not feed the troll!

  • This is the best software because you get stock android experience but also get the features not available in stock android. Don't have the laggy heavy android skins but still have features of those skins and still fast stock android interface. And pf course, it's almost complete hardware-wise. Only missiong ir blaster and amoled screen

  • Agree but it's still the current flagship of Asus. We have different preferences and needs for our daily drivers, what's good for you doesn't suit other's taste especially regarding vanilla Android or UIs.

  • More of question: Onzenfone 6/6z do you get camera motor noise/vibration when you lock/unlock phone using power button? It seems like when you click/single press power button, camera motor tries to start/or does some check whic make a mouse click like sound from camera motor. please confirm. Just bring the phone part near to your ear where camera motor is and press/click power button. I hear motor click like noise everytime as if it got some power on signal. Do you get this issue. Yes call quality is bad high volume, but very much ok at mid volume even at 80-90% it is good. What I observed is call quality is excellent on apps like what's app but normal call its bad at high max volume.. So I think that's software issue of app used for calling, hope they fix it soon.

  • All commentimg about the display, camera motor and phone getting heat ,they didn't not to worry coz it all normal. The main issue is the call quality when having a call. The Receiver end (Asus 6z) is pathetic and you will hear a distorted voice of the other end user. The company made a good phone in outer asthetic but forgot to look into the main thing we use in a phone.

  • More of question to other Zenfone 6 users : On your Zenfone 6z do you get camera motor noise/vibration when you lock/unlock phone using power button? It seems like when you click/single press power button, camera motor tries to start/or does some check or send a power signal to camera motor which make a mouse click like sound from camera motor. please check and confirm. Just bring phone close to your ear where camera motor is and click power button.

  • Who cares your answer? We also can comment too, which are disagreements to your comments.

  • You should only compare Zenfone 6 with Mi9, not Mi9T. Or compare Zenfone 6 to K20 Pro, not Mi9T. Depend what you really want. If you want AMOLED, pop up camera, telephoto camera, but is using SD730, no Micro SD slot, then pick Mi9T. Only Zenfone 6, it would be no AMOLED, no telephoto camera.

  • To all who replied my comment my answer is LOL.

  • when is this coming out in canada

  • Pls...guys help.. Mi 9t or Asus Zenfone 6??????

  • go home and troll in MY :s

  • You're pretty much just against this phone since day one considering your comments. Get a life already.

  • Hi I'm curious. Why don't you simply explain the features of a flagship mobile!!! Is it really worthy. According to me even the rotating camera is an unnecessary feature. The best models are: The ROG Phone, S9, Pixel 3, Pixel 3a. I don't care about the brand of pen I use but, I am keen about what I write.

  • Wow iPhone? I'd rather buy even a Galaxy A10 over the crippled iPhone.

  • while i have to agree with ZF6 being a budget flagship, zenui 6 has seen major improvements from its predecessor. it is very close to stock android now. it also has some features that some other non-premium flagships in its price range dont have like headphone jack, triple card slot, huge battery, and stereo speakers. some may see the lcd as a turn off but some people prefers lcd over amoled so it depends on preference. however i do agree on pricing, though not as extreme as your example. myr500 can only get you a decent midranger. with all the aggressive pricing from the chinese manufacturers it is inevitable that ZF6 will fall off the radar when its finally becoming available here

  • Not worthy to buy this phone with EUR500 or USD500 even MYR500

  • I beg to differ because this phone cannot compete with another premium flagship from other brand or Apple Iphone. This phone is categorized in non premium flagship how come it can compete with premium flagship. It should compete with another non premium flagship which cost lesser than this phone. And this phone are not using Stock/Vanilla Android as is operating system but Android with ZenUI 6 on its skin.

  • What about video calling ?

  • Wish this phone had Infrared port and OIS cameras. Then this would be the best of 2019

  • A flagship is the best device that an OEM has to offer. A flagship sports many of the top specs currently available. A flagship is an Android smartphone that can compete with Apple's iPhone. A flagship device doesn't have any compromises. A flagship device is the best of all devices within a certain price range. The definition of "flagship" suits with this phone.

  • The Zenfone 6 has all the features that no other phone have. Only Zenfone 6 has a dedicated microSD card so it has three slots (two of which is SIM cards), it has a notification light and every underrated features that flagship phones these days dont have. This is a real flagship.

  • Yes, only fanboy cares, and those lousy biased and getting paid smartphone reviewer, which spread the bad word, disseminate bad influence, overuse this "flagship" word. Simply just waste time to argue over this flagship thing, I will consider buying this ASUS Zenfone 6 when it is officially sold at my region. My second pick for this year is Redmi K20 Pro, I don't care about flagship, I just care about price and features.

  • A wise word from JerryRigEverything Youtuber: If you want features, all you have to do is spend less money on your phone.

  • The definition of flagship corresponds to phones like "Samsung galaxy s10" , "Iphone xs" which has all the features. But the phone "Asus 6z" is not flagship as claimed, they are value flagship's . For your knowledge even "Oneplus 7" or "Oneplus 7 pro" doesn't come under flagship which costs you around 32k and 48k respectively and lacks in so many features because, its simple they are not flagship phones. You cannot complain that they dont have all the features in a value flagships. Though "Asus 6z" is the only phone in its price segment which provides all and most of the useful features which none of the value flagship smartphones provide.

  • Can anyone tell what is the SAR value of Asus Zenfone 6..

  • Too bad the idea of a flagsh!t phone today is a phone which is 99.9% display but lacks features that make the definition of a smartphone. Sad.

  • This is it, this phone have everything, except no AMOLED, no wireless charging, no IP rating, no telephono camera, by today high end standard. But it is complement with 3.5mm headphone jack, triple card slot with dedicated dual sim and Micro SD slots, 5000mah battery, flip camera that makes the screen no notch, stereo speakers. Those nitpick on it's cut corners, please make yourself easy, pick other smartphone. There are plenty of choices out there for you to choose from. Not try to protect this smartphone, but I appreciate their effort for bringing the price down without cutting too much features. Please, do a fair comparison, don't just spread the hate word to influence people's purchasing decision.

  • Someone keep disqualify this phone as a flagship. Well, I can disqualify Apple iPhone XS Max, and Google Pixel 3 XL as well, because those have small battery, no memory expansion slot, no headphone jack.

  • OK, please tell us. A $500, not 500 Euros phone. Another phone with 5,000mah battery, Dual 4G sims, memory card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, SD855, 6GB Ram, Stock Android, front facing selfie flash, Stereo speakers, 48mp selfie camera, Radio, NFC ????

  • I beg to differ

  • actually you cant, for 500 Euro, you cant find phone with 855 soc, with massive 5000mah, with memory card slot, with headphone jack, 48MP. the closest contender in this price range is the Black shark but with 4kmah, no headphone jack and no mem card slot. OP 7pro is a bit pricier as well as Samsung A80 and Oppo Reno. you can also go to Realme X for 160Euro which has a good specs but not as good as this.

  • EUR500 for this phone is expensive & over price, can get better phone with this price.

  • Does people like you just spit bs out of thin air? I have been using my Lenovo P2 with sAMOLED display for 2 years now and no problems yet.

  • NON PREMIUM FLAGSHIP is a great description for this phone. Possibly my next phone. For $500 is an amazing deal.

  • Maybe both pixel and zenfone 6 can be categorized as NON PREMIUM FLAGSHIP, DO YOU SATISFIED ? But for me flagship smartphone must be premium and have all or almost all the best and premium features at the time its released or its should not be called flagship.

  • SO with your reasoning google pixel smartphone not flagship because it not have three camera and/or no telephoto

  • Does this mobile has native video calling dialer?

  • This phone has no AMOLED

  • Some new infos about availability Europe 6 - 64GB still available 8 - 256GB ver. can ordered w/ short delivery in ASUS eShops, 6 - 128GB available by some early bird retailers across Europe, all that in Black. Some few pre-orders for versions in silver sold out. Hong Kong – hk.store.asus 6 -128GB Black Sold Out in short time, – All other versions shipping after July 6 - incl. Silver ones! Retailers from Taiwan selling on ebay!

  • Can somebody verify if there's a display dimming bug? Activate developer options. Put the 3 animation rows in developer settings to no animation (or 0x). Set the brightness to roughly 50%. Then go from the settings menu to chrome. Does the screen dim when switching between the settings menu and Chrome or other apps? Thanks in advance.

  • Does it support HD streaming?

  • the game is too hacked....no point playing it. But i wonder if the battery life is good for heavy drainers like Pogo.

  • Problem will start after one year of usage. One of the biggest problem is rapid discoloration of the AMOLED in just one year (white turns yellow)

  • Maybe not because I currently using zenfone 5z and still no lag issues

  • It will have no trouble playing Pubg. The LCD will be very responsive.

  • can we play pubg well here..this phone include LCD display when we toch hard the displya is it fine..beccoz its lcd...can someone help me

  • Not just no Amoled screen but also no specific selfie camera too (used main camera with motorized flip up as selfie camera) and only have 2 main camera compare to other flagship that have minimum 3 main camera (dont have telephoto camera which is a must to current flagship smartphone). This phone should be price below EUR400 not EUR500 and dont deserved to be call flagship on current flagship standard.

  • Does it have a private mode

  • Which variant will be best among 6/64 or 6/128 or 8/256 gb or for atleast 3 year use.I am not a heavy user but dont want my phone to get slow.

  • silence? not really ... (but media-coverage is not very well :s) meanwhile phone launched in Taiwan, later in Hong-Kong ... that means resellers (will) offer it on ebay, Amazon and usual places, some Chinashops will sell it as well. Also available in Russia, vers. w/ 256GB in pre-order as well. As ASUS 6z phone launched today in India. Lets see, wich versions and colors they ll get next week.

  • You are the one being not serious here. The phone was and is available even earlier (late May) as they promised in ASUS eShops across Europe. (Version with 64GB still available!) Retailers, that ordered timely have got phones as well ... but sometimes they were sold-out even in preorder phase. Do not complain, use goooogle! ... and use pre-orders! (if no retailer has it near you or would like other color)

  • Ugly phone, No Amoled Screen

  • When will this phone be available for Montenegro, southestern Europe? Or to any neighbour country?

  • Pretty sure they inproved it on this phone by changed the style of the zen ui to almost stock Android

  • I am also waiting for the 8gb ram version of this phone. The 6gb ram is already available in Europe.

  • Glad they use LCD because nobody really know the many problem that come with AMOLED display that is permanent and the problem will start after one year of usage. One of the biggest problem is rapid discoloration of the AMOLED in just one year (white turns yellow) -Vysair

  • They did not improve since then? I am interested on this Zenfone 6 to replace my Mate 20 and I'm looking for possible alternatives.

  • If the screen is amoled, it would be perfect phone for 2019 ! otherwise good specs overall also let's forget the bloat / bad ZenUI, this one is very clean ! (trying to be stock while still be ZenUI)

  • Same here in Eastern Europe. They are not being serious. I guess I'll be buying the Mi 9T since Asus don't want me to buy their phone...

  • Can anyone tell me, when this phone out for Asia market? Seem silence after it’s announced

  • front camera solution is most efficent one in the market. i congratz Asus and hope that solution will be end of notches, 2nd screens and flip/slide cameras.

  • The old Zen UI have bit heavy skinned of Android. Especially at Intel's Zenfones.

  • i think people need to move on from the past failure of the intel zenfones

  • Are you sure about that?have you used the old asus phone?where asus still use the old zen ui?

  • At least asus still keep the headphone jack and sd card.Thumbs up for that

  • Asus phones are heavily skinned? Have you use one? Already use 3 types of Asus phones and all of them is pure android with no skin whatsoever.

  • This is internet, everyone can troll here and there, express your own opinion. I think it is simply non-sense to argue what is actually flagship smartphone these days. Please don't believe any online review, they simply just being paid to make good review on expensive product only, and give bad review for whatever that is not famous, purposely create this kind of "fake competition"of smartphone race that suit to these big smartphone company marketing, meaning they want their user to feel proud to own their smartphone, and bash the rest that isn't, purposely raise the fight between fanboys, spread emotional comments. You only can take these reviews as reference, but not as full facts. It is just common facts that these review site only give credit to expensive smartphone, but then forget the rest, keep pinpoint on the flaws of cheaper smartphone, but hide the flaws of expensive one, real shame on these reviewer, get no respect from me. All in all, just bought the smartphone that you enjoy, that's it.

  • WTF it you think zenfone is better than its up to you. I'm here not to argue which one is better just to express my opinion. According to GSMArena Mid 2019 Smartphone Buying Guide, the Zenfone 6 is not included in Flagship buying guide only listed in Battery life and All rounder buying guides. So thinks it yourself.

  • Apart from AMOLED on K20 pro I didn't see any other advantage over Asus 6z. So, apart from the obvious pricing difference and no SD slot in k20 pro and interior battery compared to Zenfone 6, how about you provide some info on your "Better specs than Asus Zenfone 6" opinion.

  • I am now officially an ASUS fan and this will be my next phone by God's grace. Thanks for the good work gsmarena.

  • is this support 5g? is this gonna be lag? coz previous asus phone i bought were so lag.

  • is this gonna be lag if long-term using?

  • Perhaps this one can help:

  • Which one will be the better choice between Asus Zenfone 6 ZS630KL and Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro? If there anyone uses it then please let me know

  • Compare it yourself at GSMArena we can easily compare the phone specs. Here the link . Dont be lazy.

  • I'm thinking between This & redmi k20 pro , what do you think ?

  • if that contain a fan at back to cool down, and thats will be the great phone. taking 4k video make the phone hotter, without fan at the it will distroy your phone.

  • Both Redmi and Asus have heavy skinned of Android, so performance really matter of UI of Android. Based on Antutu and Geekbench, Asus have the fastest performance, even with S10, but CMIIW later. But I think ZenUI 6 is near stock, so the performance can be helped, plus with AI boost.

  • Yes, but LCD use little more power than LED. Because of that, phones that use LED and smaller battery helped with little longer battery life, but it still depend on brightness level and your usage (ie. on LED showing full white screen use more power than LCD, so it is the opposite, LED showing full black almost use no power than LCD.

  • 720p@480fps Slow-mo ? There are phones that record 1080@960fps with the 845 processor and 6gb of ram.... such shame.

  • My daily used phone since more than two years is a V20 of LG, with a LCD /IPC display and I'm satisfied with their performance and their more natural colour.

  • Redmi K20 Pro has better specs than Zenfone 6. Explain how?

  • I actually prefer LCD screens though, because the colours tend to be more natural. I have a Nokia 7 plus (LCD screen)and the screen's really good :)

  • Why Asus become underrated brand ? Because the biggest mistake Asus done back in 2015 is to launch phone with Intel SoC, Asus Zenfone 2. This phone should be a star but it become otherwise, a disaster. Intel SoC proven useless, fast battery drain, lagged and easily heated. Its bring bad image to Asus.

  • Yes agree with U. Smartphone is not Asus field.

  • I dont think it can happen

  • maybe you dont know, but ASUS invented much more than the other hyped brands. Nearly all ZF 4 series phones came with ultrawide secondary cams in 2017 ... even the affordable ones. Neither of them were reviewed here ... ZF 2 came with 4GB of RAM in 2015! (..... versions w/ 128GB of storage as well). ZenFone Zoom with real optical zoom, bigger phones (6", 6,8" ) much earlier, first phone with 5000mAh battery in 2015 (ZenFone Max), and so on.... Sadly the most underrated brand.

  • With the ASUS "Zenfone ' 6 ZS630KL can be famous in mobile phones also.

  • Asus are famous for laptop and computer not in mobile phones.

  • Is this phone out for the users yet? Did anyone use it for more than one week? If yes, how is it?

  • This phone almost perfect on all sectors (perfomance, camera, features, etc.). Unfortunately, it still use LCD instead of LED / OLED and no IP67 / IP68 certification.

  • gsmarena (and other reviewers) should have include the touch screen delay test in every review as this is crucial factor which affects user experience (yeah having a latest specs doesn't mean touch delay is also good)

  • This is an upside, not a downside, OLEDs have more downsides than benefits.

  • What you consider a lack, for me is a factor to their purchase.

  • As per the specs it has

  • The only downside of this phone is missing amoled display. Other then that everything is super great. I wish it had amoled / oled display.

  • Does this have HDR10 display..

  • I generally use multiple accounts of some apps like facebook, messenger. Some of the asus phones (zenfone 5, 5z etc) have twin apps option. some of zenfones (max pro m1, m2 etc) are without that facility. Now my question is do zenfone has Twin Apps facility?

  • Actually you are the first people I encounter in GSMArena that care much about smartphone motherboard, most of them just care about System on Chips, camera, memory card slot and size, LED screen, notch, IR blaster, fast charging, battery size, bazel size and etc. Probably you are laptop or desktop guy.

  • Asus is motherboard famous manufacture, yes for laptop and personal computer but maybe not for smartphone because never heard about it. For many people they dont care about smartphone motherboard either is Asus, Samsung or Apple. Asus Zenfone 6 specs just so-so. Probably 6-7 years ago this kind of specs are great but not now, but its depend on individual taste and choice.

  • The only problem is not specs, the quality of K20 cannot be compare to Asus, which are the best in the market for known reason to the gamers, overclocking, that's why the give you unlocked bootload from day 1. they know you will play with tweaks and can make this phone last for 130h battery life plus tweak for gaming and have better drivers for camera and can use max of benefits :) Motherboard is the heart of the phone, and Asus is motherboard famous manufacture

  • I believe the opposites, Redmi K20 Pro have better specs than Zenfone 6. About battery life it is better we wait GSMArena do a full review on Redmi K20 Pro. The bigger battery capacity doesnt mean it have better power efficiencies because its depend on optimization done by the manufacturers. At this link we can find some phone with smaller battery capacity do have excellent battery life compare to other phone which have bigger battery capacity.

  • I wonder what sort of phone case is suitable to protect this zen 6 in a 360 way?

  • As it's a cheap LCD, does it have any ghosting? My Mi Max 2 is dirt cheap but has no ghosting, yet my Mate 20 which costs 5x more does have ghosting.

  • Zenfone 6 because has better quality and longer battery life (112h gsmarena battery test)

  • I'm not saying OLED is superior just for me.. It's actually the next display tech standard after LED... Plus blacks are really black on OLED's while not quite so on LEDs... So... bring on the fight with the standardization association, not with me... I am also a Galaxy user from the very beginning of the branding's inception... Owned a S2, S3, S4 Active (TFT LCD) jumping then to the great Note series starting with the Note4 as I was close to getting a Note3 but I'm glad I waited for the perfection of the never to be beaten King Note4 as all the others were in my opinion not yet fully well-built devices. Wanted to upgrade to the Note5 but it was so limited that I'm also glad I didn't get it and while the wait was never-ending as the Note6 never came out, I actually got the Note7 and briefly had it but we know what happened so I returned it. Note8 was a step in a new direction and I wanted it but I'm glad once again that I waited and got the almost perfected Note 9 instead. Good things do come to those who wait, eh? :) And about the eye strain issue, I believe it's just your sensitive eyes and other people's sensitive eyes. Most likely you like to use the brightness at a very high setting blasting full white at your face especially at night so no wonder your eyes are fatigued. I don't do that, I have my brightness at an acceptable for me low and I have the blue light filter on all the time so yeah.. that's your issue with your eyes and not mine. Plus, I have a LG V20 and the LCD on it makes no difference to me compared to the AMOLED on my Note's except for the obvious slight color differences as these are two different display technologies in the first place.

  • Yes it has double tap to wake/lock.

  • Ffffuuu.. why does ZenFone have to be so big, if it was a 5''-5.5'' in it's all screen form I'd swim seas to get it.

  • N-Am. version not out yet, but listed on B+H Photo site and can be ordered and as they mentioning .... -- Your order will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis. -- but it takes some weeks ... Phone just announced in TW and they get it first about 20th

  • This would be waterproof if people didn't like selfies.

  • how about sunlight?

  • ASUS zenfone 6 is now rebranded as ASUS 6Z in India

  • 12 gb ram not useless for android os.. if u say ios yes that's true useless for 12 gb ram

  • I agree. This is more what people really want. Watch this become a number 1 seller in 2019. Amazing specs and amazing price. And of course, the Oled screen question also. Other brands are already starting with 5,000mah batterys and looking at stock or near stock Android.

  • Where I can get the version C of ZS630KL??

  • it was expensive to want a lower price of Asus or cheap

  • Yea i suspect they've been caught by surprise. Hope they'll increase production.

  • 128 Gb not sold out in France

  • 6 GB 128GB version is sold out in ASUS eShops in Europe ... this phone is very popular it will be not as easy to get one

  • Just the best smartphone right nos (2019-06-06). Responsive, fast. AnTuTu gives it almost 390 000 pts. Ahead of S10 or Pixel 3. Caméra IS just wonderful... For a (quite) soft Price : €499, 6/64 Gigs. BUY IT if you owe it !!!

  • What is superior for you, need not be superior for others. I am a user of Galaxy series (note1, 4, s7 and now note 9), though i feel AMOLED is good, it does strain eyes a lot... lg g6 i used earlier had LCD screen and it doesnt strain eyes much to me.

  • Best phone so far

  • That's fine, you can have your preference of having LED rather than OLED even though the latter is superior but okay, you can live in that world if you like.

  • My knowledge is shallow ? Lol, you probably don't even even have a clue what was before LED's...So let me shine some light on you so that you know that LCD's didn't always have LED's as their backlight as CCFL's were there before...And by the way, I was talking about liquid crystal displays vs LED's specifically. That's a 1 vs 1 not few against few as in LCD's with LED's vs LED's which you were getting at...

  • The 6GB 64GB and 6 GB 128GB versions can already be ordered in Asus' German eShop, the 8GB 256 GB version will be released at the end of June according to an email I got from them.

  • i'd go for this one, just don't trust the internal build quality of the k20 pro. amoled and sd855 at that price... a little too good to be true. and when something is too good to be true, it usually isn't! amyway, the global version of that thing will be more expensive as well, o expect it to go near the zenfone price point. anyway, even with the lcd and less cameras, i think the zenfone 6 is a bit better.

  • Bloody hell. When is this phone being released (jokingly I'm starting to think this was just a prototype) Honestly 4th June and no update :/ it's a shame because this phone seems so underrated

  • I AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • when is this gonna be for sale in the usa? why release it if ur not gonna put it up for sale????????????????????

  • Would be great, but there is no hardware to do that. Best they can do is to make 48MP photo and crop it, but that's not a zoom really. Nevertheless, can you link the source of your claim? Would like to see this from Asus.

  • Asus claims that it 2 x lossless digital zoom.

  • This or Xiaomi Poco F2 aka k20 pro?

  • So is it just me or are they not putting too much efforts in making this phone available?

  • Unfortunately, no. It has no appropriate hardware built-in. All it can do is digital zoom, go to the review on gsmarena, quote: "You switch modes by swiping side to side, there's a main/wide toggle and a 1.0x/2.0x zoom button for engaging the digital zoom"

  • I don't even understand what's your point. I just said I prefer LED to OLED.

  • well LCDs are backlit with LEDs tho. just shows how shallow your knowledge is.

  • I'd say time is an endless feature or even service while life is THE best teacher. Actually, it is a master above all. :)

  • I'd also like to know if it's capable of HD voice calls.

  • "this thing is way too big." ...and what is your height and hand size? Way too big or way too small?

  • If you disqualify OLEDs from the start then tell me; would you rather have a LCD or a LED as a light source? At home for example, no light bulbs or any other form of lighting including natural lighting as well.

  • Yup, but: -fairly low display contrast (1200) -incosistent maximum brightness from app to app (maybe will be fixed at some point) -bad camera processing (fixed to some degree, but still pretty bad) -a bit too heavy and big (heavier and larger than the official lying specs) -the 5000mAh battery is big, but there are a lot of 4000mAh models that last almost the same, probably has about 4500-4600 real spec) Still the best on the market, because most phones have fatal flaws. Also, subjective, since I disqualify OLEDs from the start due to burn in and other problems.

  • Flagship: great performance: snapdragon 855 & near stock android great camera: 48 mp with great processing and same quality between front and rear camera great endurance : 5000 mah battery lot of feature: dedicated sd card slot, headphone jack,FM radio,LED notif CMIIW

  • TRUE

  • so damn ture

  • If they made a compact version, I'd be interested, but as it stands, even with no notch and a smaller footprint, this thing is way too big.

  • It's an impressive phone, the only thing I would like to know is how good it's the reception of the signal. Does it work with Verizon? Does it have Tmobile bands?

  • Why don't you explain about it? (Flagship mobile)

  • Time is a very good teacher. Experience it yourself with time. For every lesson there is a cost associated. Thanks for your counselling session. Good luck.

  • Zenfone 6 or oneplus 7 pro? Does Zenfone 6 have a double tap to wake and sleep like oneplus?

  • Asus Zenfone 6 or Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro ???

  • Lots of phone don't have OIS these days. I found that out yesterday. The "king" of camera's phones (Pixel 3a) doesn't have it... so your opinion is worthless.

  • Wrong. Asus is already using 5000mah battery in other models. The public want larger, longer lasting batterys. And its been a huge success. Same applies with stock Android.

  • Your whole body flips and pops out every second of your life, I call that really durable. You, along with others got plenty to learn in order to transfer this vision into practical applications of things.

  • Without OSI Camera it dead on arrival

  • They add 5000mah battery because they need it to balance the heavy flip camera on top, otherwise the phone will be extremely top heavy and uncomfortable to hold. Also, the flip camera is 10.8mm thick, they want the phone body to be thicker 9.8mm, otherwise the camera module will pop up more than 1mm.

  • my current asus has built in security , which is a old model ,3 laser, so i believe this should have

  • It has a lossless 2X camera zoom.

  • is this coming out any time soon???????????????????

  • Do you really now the meaning of flagship phone ?

  • This is the true flagship phone

  • Though your requirements are justified, manufacturers have also to think about the requirements of other consumers across the globe. As far as I am concerned the best professional model of any mobile should be like that of a ROG phone or the Samsung Galaxy S9. Personally, I don't like the notch even in the case of an Apple's mobile. But, manufacturers too have their own personal preferences. That is how the world works.

  • Huawei phone price drop because of US government ban.

  • I agree 100%.

  • LOL yea, "not following trends" and using your own brain is such a bad thing these days, right? Actually it's for those who think current flagships are a joke and would't buy them even at the Zenfone's price (Actually in my coultry i can find brand new P30 pro for 550 EUR, which will probably be Zenfone 6's price. Guess what? Still not interested due to lack of 3.5mm jack, the notch and the Edge display. Actually i wounldn't buy a phone like P30 pro for any price. And i wouldn't buy the S10+ for the abysmal battery, cancerous front camera and again, edge screen.

  • zenfone 6 blew all other flagship to the dust

  • This phone for a cheapo, stingy and not following trend people who like to use high end phone but not realized this phone is inferior to other cheaper high end phone. For me if I want to buy a high end phone, I want a phone that can give a complete latest features with a moderate price. Why should I buy an inferior high end phone with higher price if I can get a better deal with a lower price.

  • Among high end phone released this year Zenfone 6 have the biggest battery capacity but it maybe not a best power efficiencies among the top tier. If we compare Zenfone 6 with 5000mAh battery and Oppo Reno 10x zoom with 4065mAh battery based on GSMArena battery lab test, the result are not so much different. For endurance Zenfone 6 112h and Reno 10x Zoom 107h, talk time Zenfone 6 36:22h and Reno 10x zoom 36:24h, web browsing Zenfone 6 15:42h and Reno 10x zoom 14:19h, video playback Zenfone 6 16:07h and Reno 10x zoom 19.58h. Based on this test Zenfone win on endurance and web browsing, and Reno 10x zoom win on talk time and video playback. This prove the optimization done by OEM is playing bigger and importance part of the phone efficiencies and performances.

  • On the contrary, it's about great sound and software experience too. With the software update fixing brightness issues, it has no major weak points. You, on the other hand, want a phone that only focuses on camera (Which is already more than great). This phone is for thinking people who actually do have a life. It's not for you, but there are tons of phones that do just that: Focus on camera and neglect most other details, like battery, 3.5mm jack, speakers and whatnot.

  • Thats reduntant gimmick ip68, like Apple, Samsung, Sony etc. cover the costs of water damage in its warranty so its irrelevant/gimmick feature just to increase cost... Heck like anyone in their right mind would dive their phones underwater constantly, unless you just want more stream views..... Eitherway it should atleast be splash or dust resistant.....

  • This phone is about battery and thats it. Want a better camera buy another phone.

  • Nope... It's a Godzilla (king of the monsters)!

  • may i know if this phone has own security where you can hide your files? i mean built in security?

  • this is a monster !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ... and here we have the explanation of the questionable brightness measurement results: -- Update, May 29: We dug further into our brightness testing, and came to some peculiar findings. In addition to our usual routine that's based on an industry-standard software/hardware combination, we did a couple of low-fi tests as well. Opening a pure white image in Chrome got us the promised 600nits, precisely. Viewing the same image in the Gallery app we got 545nits, which is also about what we measured on a blank white area in the settings menu. -- So the display is a similar top-rated LCD, as in ZF 5z! 550-600 nits !!!

  • Excellne

  • it have positive review on camera, battery life and performance. at first,i tought the missing thing on this phone is oled screen, but then i realize, oled will have degradation over time, so,lcd is not that bad

  • I really think this phone is interesting, I may end up buying it, but two things make me think: - Average display. Don't mind the non-OLED technology, it has some pros but the low brightness mentioned in the review is disappointing. - Lack of zoom camera. I have much more case I'd like to use it. I'd really prefer it over the wide one. Other than that two issues the rest is top notch for me.

  • Everything in the long term would be damaged, mate. Not just the mechanical parts.

  • It'd be more expensive then. They had the ability to add in OLED/AMOLED, but they didn't, to keep costs and pricing down. And a 90hz one would skyrocket the price and suck the battery dry even faster.

  • Battery is still rubbish...5000mah with low quality ppi screen

  • When will we get it in INDIAN region, like Bangladesh?

  • Man, if only it had an OLED, better yet a 90hz one.

  • Movement camera is not risky in long time ? Because there are some mechanical parts for moving camera so in my idea maybe in long term to be damaged. Please advise and guide me for this issue.

  • go to Divisoria or store168 haft the price pre-order.

  • no IP certification sorry

  • u right

  • did they say it would be released on verizon? The bands i saw didn't seem to match up with verizons but did with all other US carriers

  • Need an answer when will this phone be released in NA? It's on ASUS website:

  • has this phone any IP certification? ip68 o similar ? Thanks

  • Excellnet👌👍

  • I'm in USA on Verizon. When I called them they told me this phone will be released in July.

  • Does anyone know when this phone is coming out. All I can see on the Asus estore is pre order the zenfone 6

  • Same here in Bulgaria (And you can find all previous version nobody wants). WTF is wrong with them? They finally released a phone people can't wait to buy, but they don't care to offer it?

  • I personally like phones where I can hold the phone in my hand not accidently touch the screen and accidently set off the touch interface. Example: holding the phone with one hand, trying to use my pointing finger to select something, but the phone registers two fingers touching and try's to zoom, scroll or select multiple things.

  • Just look at the specs, and combine that with the price. You see mouth-watering it is? It's gonna attract a lot. Even though it might struggle against the big boys, like Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Oneplus. If it couldn't beat those companies, it still would stand on it's own in the sales market.

  • But unlike Motorola, they actually released a product that people actually care about! This could be a huge game changer for Asus in the smartphone department. Nobody cares about Moto now, due to how overpriced, and undervalued it is. Asus actually created something that will go head to head with the likes of Mi 9, Samsung S10E, and other companies such as Oppo, Vivo and even Oneplus.

  • A - Limited Edition - version announced at Computex with a whopping 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, incl. special design as well. --------------- Preorder for US versions live at B&H Photo online shop.

  • Hey GSMARENA pls tell me , sony xperia 10, motorolla vision and Asus zenfone 6 which one has the better camera ?

  • Kinda annoyed TBH Both models 6GB with 128GB and 8GB with 256GB are both out of stock on the Asus UK store. As it stands no retailer in the UK will be selling this. So atm the only place that you can pre-order this is from (that I've seen anyway) is Gearbest or Giztop. Giztop told me that they're selling the Chinese variant (with Chinese ROM but has Play store pre-installed) Gearbest is £483.22 which is £16 cheaper than what Asus was selling it at. Would rather pay that extra £16 and get a UK charger along with 2-year manufacturer warranty and not have to worry about paying customes fee with gearbest.. Patiently waiting for toy deals/global to sell this, because I know it will be global version and it will be much cheaper, plus they both offer good discount codes

  • There do have a hands on video to demo this, much similar like Oneplus 7 Pro, where the sensor sense the phone if dropping, the camera will auto move to it's original default position. This motorized flip camera implementation is first demonstrated by OPPO N3 on smartphone. I will check the comment section at there. Of course, almost similar implementation such as OPPO Find X, Vivo Nex S, OPPO F11 Pro, Vivo V15 Pro, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, Oneplus 7 Pro, OPPO Reno also have similar concern on the motorized wear and tear part, not just on this Zenfone 6.

  • Try Gearbest

  • Other opinion: I barely ever use selfi-cam, if the motorized thing breaks I would likely not even realize it. I do not have a problem with a small chin bar, but I want 80+% screen to body ratio, simply because I want to have the most possible phone in the same size. Side bezels are okay, because palm rejection won't ever work reliably, top and bottom bezels don't do anything for me (I don't need front firing speakers, I don't need selfi-cam)

  • what asus m3 do you mean? m2 I guess? because if you mean m2 max pro then it is already available in the ph

  • The phone has a proximity sensor so the camera module won't open accidentally in pocket or when it shouldn't. The proximity centre also allows it to close entirely if dropped from high enough (1.25m) and if it's lower then it tries to avoid hitting the ground first, according to Engadgets article.

  • This is not a professional reply. It seems like excuses. My question is for the professionals who manufacture these devices. Your answer is admissible for persons like you. Anyhow thanks for the reply.

  • 2nd minus is LCD display

  • when is this coming to the USA? WHERE can I get global version?

  • wished instead of this option Power bank/Reverse charging 10W sport with wireless charging 10W so better

  • Only 1 minus, no fingerprint on display buy is perfect!

  • Clearly, you don't understand the Smartphone industry.

  • in Dec 2019 because asus max pro m2 was in Dec 2018

  • Clearly they are not, they bought by Google, then sell to Lenovo.

  • Not a concern. It definitely will last far beyond enough times for use in the 1-2 years tops anyone will own this. Nobody keeps their phone 8 years, which is maybe just maybe enough open and closes for the motor to wear out. If anything, the phone is glass and will get dropped and broken long before the camera.

  • Considering the cost of production of a near bezelless screen with a flip camera, why can't consumers accept a phone which would look like a ROG phone or Samsung galaxy S9. What's wrong with a phone if it has a head and a chin? What's wrong with a dog, if it has a tail? These motorized cameras either flip type or the pop up type definitely won't be durable in the long run.

  • Pros Clean almost Stock Android OS(little to NO BLOATWARES) with only little but necessary Apps preinstalled.

  • Cons: Debatable if one prefer OLED/LCD No IP68 Water Resistant but obviously it should be splash proof/dust proof the least Only 1 pair of camera that flips back and forth mechanically and only time will tell how long it will survive and no OIS Pros FM Radio(Yes I still use this) 3.5mm jack(with integrated HiRes DAC) Dedicated SD SLOT(2 nano sims + SD SLOT) 5000mah Batteries w/c can also charge other devices Stereo Speakers Huge RAM/Storage options 6gb/64-128gb or 8gb/256gb Latest Flagships SoC SD855 No DRM/KNOX Crap like Samsung/Sony even ASUS Provided BootUnlock Options for Custom Firmware Developers And lastly and most importantly its VERY ATTRACTIVE PRICE of $500-599.

  • It has Gravity sensor which makes camera flip back if anybody drop it.

  • The table will flip along with the camera obviously. Duhh.

  • Congratulations on the best purchase of 2019!

  • Already ordered one

  • Hey LOLS this phone has 3 slot which is 2 slot nano sim + 1 dedicated slot micro sd

  • Where can I buy his phone?

  • I believe you flip the camera physically if you want to take a selfie. The software only flip the picture over to the right orientation

  • What will happen if you put it on the table and then accidentally touch the selfie menu. Will it break the camera?

  • What are the pros and cons of this phone?

  • Few years maybe smaller motherboards and components and better battery technology The problem is the more efficient they make it they more slimmer they decide to make the phone which limits space

  • Isnt it too thick? Does the ui still offer call recording out if the box?

  • The screen is not 92% of the body. Asus is only providing the diagonal ratio : the phone is 6"22 x 2"97 (i.e surface of 18.59 inch square) which makes a body diagonal of 6"92. And 6"92 * 92% = 6"4, the diagonal of the screen. But if the screen respects the same ratio length / width as the body it is a 5"78 x 2"74 (15.86 inch square). Though 15.86 / 18.59 = 85.3% As the phone as a chin it will actually have a slightly better screen to body ratio. For instance a 0"1 chin will end up with a 86.2% ratio.

  • I am a big fan of Asus and they can do very well, they are still behind on few things like none of their new phones are IP68, and I hope they fixed the Bluetooth issue they had in Zenfone 3.

  • It's an amazing phone!!!

  • There's no pleasing some people 6.4-inch display with a 92% screen to body ratio Gorilla glass 6 at the front, 3 on the back SD 855 UI that has been refreshed and looks VERY close to stock Promised update to Q and beyond 5000 MAH Battery with Qualcomm quick charge 3.5 mm headphone jack ( even comes with headphones in the box with rubber buds) hybrid sim slot ( so 2 nano sims along with space for MicroSD card) According to MRWhosTheBoss in Antutu it scored almost 30k higher than his Samsung S10Plus using SD855 not Exynos The speaker is comparable to OnePlus7 Pro 600 nits LED Notifications Sony IMX586 camera (which for stock camera, the photos and videos looking amazing, dying to know what a GCam port would look like) And credits for Asus themselves for releasing a bootloader unlock tool along with kernel source, within 4 days of the phone being announced Think about it mate, you're paying £500 for a phone that has all those specs.

  • When asus zenfone max pro m3 lunch on philippines?

  • Are you a social climber who wants to get the latest just to flaunt and increase your e-peen? 4G is still capable and strong and adding 5G will add 100 - 200 dollars which won't get the buzz they're currently getting. Be glad that this is the rated Flagship Killer we would've ever wanted.

  • Motorola is a big smartphone player as its owned by Lenono.

  • What do you expect for $500 ? This phone was aimed at upper mid range price, but with a fast cpu. If you want those extra features, you can pay about $800 or more for another brand.

  • For those who are interested - SAR level (EU) for this phone is Head: 1,57 W/kg; Body: 0,98 W/kg. I got the info directly from Asus Germany.

  • I said it will do very well... there's nothing wrong with it, it could well be a flagship killer !!!

  • If they do release a "Z" version, I would like it to have an OLED screen.

  • This phone won't perform well in the market. Just wait and see

  • anyone know when this will be released in the US?

  • It's missing an AMOLED screen, IR blaster, optical zoom, and it's kinda ugly from an industrial design standpoint, but wow! The Spec/value ratio is amazing. I hope we can buy it in the US soon.

  • Too bad, do not support 5G 😢

  • 92% screen-to-body ratio

  • Exactly! Thank you

  • Watch this video mate A lot of people are saying that this has comparable speakers to the One Plus 7 Pro

  • when does tests coming(loudspeakers, battery etc...?)

  • ASUS is holding back because they flopped on Zenfone 2, and didn't recover since Zenfone 3, where they actually has released the AMOLED version of Zenfone 3 Deluxe, but cost almost the same as Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, which lost their edge, sales is so poor until their Zenfone 4 Pro doesn't get launched in many country. They makes serious comeback with last year Zenfone 5, Zenfone Max Pro M1, and ROG phone. So, all your wishlist actually depend on the sales of this Zenfone 6. If the sales still poor, then no need talk about any special version. Do remember they are not some big smartphone player like Samsung, Huawei/Honor, OPPO/Vivo/Oneplus/Realme, Xiaomi/Redmi, not even ZTE. They are more like Motorola.

  • Funny to read comments at here. Those aiming to blame the phone shortcoming forget to look at the phone price, which actually almost half price of top flagship. Then, when the price jack up, those will blame this phone just cost as much as Samsung and iPhone, complain not worth it. Just pick the one that you like, then just seal the deal, because every smartphone has shortcoming.

  • Compare it your self than your know which phone have more features. It useless for me to write it here.

  • Great phone ! Just a typical fanboy

  • Except water resistant everything is perfect. Specially front cam is a brilliant idea. Hopefully Asus should add water resistant option in their next flagship.

  • Taiwan Brand good

  • How calculate GSMArena the screen to body ratio? Asus says that the screen to body ratio is 92%, GSMArena says that it's just 83.8%. Why the difference is so big? Thank you!

  • This is looking like a really great bang for buck.

  • No

  • And let's not forget it even had removable battery. So did Galaxy S5 and many other, less popular brands/models.

  • But that's exactly what the guy you quoted said...? I'm confused. And yes, it's scary how many people fall for marketing lies along the lines "we couldn't implement a headphone solution because of water resistance" etc.

  • Disregard... My bad...

  • GSMARENA: PLease update the Network bands as per the three versions of this phone (A,B,C)

  • Lol redmi k20 has less features. What better specs?

  • Even Sony joined the sith last year and if Asus wanted to cut corners I think they would use this lame excuse.

  • just plug a dummy waterproof 3.5mm jack, lmao

  • Yes compromise but not to much compromises like this one. If we buy smartphone base on our need, we doesnt need high tier or flagship, the entry level phone is quite enough.

  • I hope there actually is a 512gb version. If I have the money, I'd take it in a heartbeat.

  • For neophites... Thats not quite right... Motorola defy was water resistant and hv a minijack 3,5... Salute.

  • Unless you are a blind fan of chinese-bad-implemented-over-the-top-hardware/samsung/apple phones, this is a great phone to go... No selfie camera?... So if u hv a digital ir and old réflex camera, u cant take selfies... Oh, wait... The trick is in your wraist... And theres the selfie... Theres a selfie camera, and the servo motor didnt take longer than a common selfie camera to kick in on focus... So, yes... Selfie camera is present. The real question is... Today, is there any need of 48/12 mp selfie cam? Is UP to us, the users to answer ir... As always premium feel, cheap top-hardware and a little bit exaggerated zenui are available to the ones who cannot paid an insane thousand bucks for the same specifications. Again, thanks Asus and let see the real mobile stars Samsung, apple, redmi how reacts to this... Maybe with enhaced AI? Salute

  • My friend, wake up! Every phone has some compromises, even the top tier flagships. You choose by the needs you have. Move along!

  • This phone have no selfie camera only use main camera as selfie (rotate and pop up mechanism). Zenfone 6 advantage is big battery capacity 5000mAh and dying features like 3.5mm jack, and that its. Asus fanboys praise Zenfone 6 a perfect phone like no other phones are better than this. This phone is over price with moderate specs better wait Redmi K20 with better specs and price.

  • EU retailers have 3 SKUs: 6/64, 6/128, and 8/256GB. But I saw Russian claim there will be even 12/512GB version.

  • This fone is fire 🔥🔥🔥!! I also like the fact that all buttuns amd speakers are located on the right (perfect) side of the fone. I hate fones who use both sides or dumb placements like S10, LG and most other companies. Only Huawei does it right and Asus 💪😍

  • This is going to be my next phone , it's quite amazing balanced device with extreme performance , huge battery and Great camera for a very reasonable price , don't care for the cons that people are talking about , for this price , this thing is amazing

  • No thanks! :)

  • I'd be happy to pay the extra costs associated with the addition of my wish-list specs. I am sure many customer will be too. :)

  • LuL where have you been all this years thinking 3.5mm jack prevents phones from being water resistant......

  • This phone has everything but ip68 water resistance. However there would be another reason to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack if they added that water resistance.

  • Yeah but think about how much the phone would cost if it was to include some of its current specs along with your personal wishlist

  • But you cannot untrip Knox once tripped and when you reinstall Official Firmware it will be detected as Void and wont get OTA Official Updates anymore.

  • then it tripled the price

  • I just want to buy one in Australia

  • Unfortunately removable battery wont ever happen again

  • If u want to use the face detection, u have to tap the lock screen first to confirm the camera to be flipped, to avoid accidental camera blocking.

  • I doubt ip rating is possible with this camera.

  • ASUS just needs to make a special version with these things to make it the world's best phone (personal wish-list): - OLED - Replaceable battery - IR Blaster - In-screen fingerprint scanner - IP68 dust/water proof (if possible with the replaceable battery) - 5G NSA / Sub6 / mmWave

  • Somehow the design are so plain it kinda hurts looking at it especially the asus logo on the back, they really should hire better designer with a better design its guaranteed to be a Flagship instead of flagship killer

  • People think overprocessed, over auto photoshop photo looks better to eye, good for FB, IG posting, showing fake image, but high contrast, over saturation. While the real thing isn't that pop out. It really depend which image people like. Just like the front facing camera beautification mode, selfie lover love it.

  • Discussing between OLED and LCD. Yes, OLED being describe as more superior than LCD, due to it's true black, more punchy color, wider color gamut, wide viewing angle. However, it is more costly to implement. LCD almost can achieve similar result, just not having true black color in total low light viewing, where easily can see the back light, side by side still less punchy than AMOLED. Then, there is the color preference on our eye. Most people like vivid saturated color screen that is popularized by Samsung and iPhone screen that show off what maximum color saturation is all about and the strong color makes the image pop. There are others that comment that vivid color is not accurate in color representation, some blame these make color look fake, unnatural. This is where LCD comes in, not as saturated, but more natural looking than AMOLED screen. Then LCD screen is more durable than AMOLED, due to having much longer lifetime. For those who hate LCD, get rid of this phone, this phone is not for you. For those who really doesn't matter on screen tech of choice, this phone actually offer more value than you can think. I have these phone using side by side, at long term use, my eye actually prefer the natural looking LCD, despite it look dull compare to AMOLED screen.

  • I think the real cons would be the flip camera itself. I just read inside if want to use the face unlock, the rear camera would flip up to take image of your face for face unlock. Imagine if we are not holding the phone up, just leave it on table, would there be a sensor to prevent the camera miss flip if it is laid on a flat surface, or imagine we put the phone in the pocket and miss click the power button for screen on. I know, this similar hazard will happen on OPPO Find X, Vivo Nex S, OPPO Reno.

  • Show me a phone that will have jack and front display scanner or wireless charger and 5000 battery. As for the amoled it might come for a Pro version

  • 12gb of ram on a phone is useless

  • yeah i know from front code series "ZS". But i still hope asus make the 1 TB and 12 GB ram later..

  • For the price this phone isn't missing anything, considering you are getting the same performance and a nice ui look, you also get a huge battery, 3,5mm jack and expandable memory & NFC. These are what I want above the oled or 5G connectivity (which is still in beta fase?). It's all about priorities in the end tho

  • It's quite a good phone with reasonable price but the only thing i disappointed is that, it is not amoled display nor water and dust resistant. Fingerprint in display and 5G support is optional but quite nice to have to me.

  • Can you prove any of this ? Or is it just hating ?

  • Very impressive phone

  • Does anyone know which label the panel is? Hope is AUO

  • I can't find the Notebookcheck review anywhere

  • Yep, on top of that turned out that OP's screen flickers at 120hz! That's unprecedented and will surely cause headaches. Its GPS is also crappy. Source: Notebookcheck's review... So it's even a bigger POS i imagined.

  • Samsung phones shipped with bootloaders already unlocked out of the box. You don't even need to unlock bootloader. I agree on sony though. On sony, it is a very painful process to unlock bootloader.

  • Cons : USB 2.1 instead of 3.0 No IR Storage is UFS2.1 instead of new UFS3.0 which are double Bandwidth and speed for moving data and play games. Main Camera is F/1.79 now days it is F/1.5 or F/1.6 ( better night photography) Slow Charging 18W Compare to new 22.5W to 55W fast charging but still Battery is 5000Mah other than this, all amazing, because it has fastest processor and amazing battery and super wide angle camera ( 11mm) and Finally a Brand Name Famous in Motherboard and gaming so no worry about explode ! (specially battery is Li-Po and not Li-on) waiting for gaming pad to be install on this phone same as ROG because it is faster than ROG and half the price :) Well-Done Asus

  • Is there OIS in camera ?

  • And no notches or holes too, which is extremely important, because threy are not just aestetical, but functional problem.

  • Z6 is a better Flagship than S10+, OP7, and others, because Z6 price is less yet the specs are complete and the battery is massive. No matter how good is your phone if the battery suck, you'll end up charging your phone all the time and worry more outside when doing outdoor activities. Kudos ASUS, this is the best Flagship money can buy right now !!

  • the s10 battery plague for almost 1000 euros and they call that a flagship.Laughable.

  • i agree that flagships are defined as top of the line phones with many if not all of the best/latest features available. that includes stuffs like using the best and latest SoCs, IP ratings, best cameras, screen quality, stereo speakers, fast storage/transfer speed, big ram/storage size, and design/build quality. IMO, ZF6 is still a flagship. however, not all flagships are created equal, and ZF6 happened to be on the lower spectrum of the flagships. if all flagships have the same specs it would be bad for consumers who want a bit of variations. not everyone likes oled/amoled or in-display fp scanner. some dont mind the absence of the 3.5mm jack or expandable storage but some do. Poco is definitely not a flagship just because it had SD845 because it had too many compromises just to be able to have that chip at that price point. in the end its just a midranger with flagship chip.

  • And I will buy it even it triple the zenfone 6 price if I want flaqship phone.

  • It has pathetic battery and ridiculous black "cancer" on its screen. And not to mention it costs at least 50% more than the Zenfone. Still much better than the OP, but i'd buy the Asus over the 10+ even if price was the same.

  • samsung galaxy s10+ define the flagship

  • Yes indeed. How about Samsung Galaxy S10+ its have all the flagship features.

  • Pocophone F1 is not flagship. In your case as long as the phone equip with SD8xx series is a flaqship ? even it come with 500MB RAM and 2MP camera ? or without fast charging ? Flagship define the best all feature the phone can have at the current times.

  • And OP7 doesn't have IP rating or wireless charging either. On the other hand, it does have flagship price, unlike the Zenfone. As for OIS...have you seen video tests? It does the same job with the EIS. And not the first time i've seen this: So called "flagships" are totally overrated. EVEN in terms of camera and camera doesn't define a phone.

  • Features like the ones you mentioned don't define flagship; Only processors do. If the processor has a SD855, Kirin 980, A12 or A13, or Exynos 9820, it's a flagship. Nothing more. No matter how many cr@ppy features this phone has but in the end, it has SD855 so it's a flagship. Pocophone F1 is a Flagship killer because it sells SD845 at unprecedented rates.

  • Well to be honest I am actually having mix feelings about the Asus zenfone 6. The motorized camera lookes kinda cool , but I dont know about the durability in real life use , and I really do prefer amoled over LCD screen .

  • 3.5mm jack and massive external memory card storage not a flagship features dude. Flagship features right now are like Optical Images Stabilizer (OIS), telephoto camera, fingerprint under display and IP68 dust and water resistance rate, do this Zenfone 6 have it ? I believe not . Yes I agreed OLED/AMOLED is no longer flagship features but most flagship do have it. To me Zenfone 6 ZS630KL are more like premium midrange than flagship with minimum flagship price on the market. I'm not Asus haters, I do own one Asus phone right now.

  • Standard support after release is 2 yrs OS Upgrades and 3 yrs Security Updates. Eitherway Asus Phones are easier to bootunlock with no DRM/losing functionality/triggerng Security Crap like KNOX compared to say like Sony/Samsung that triggers or removes functionality whilst with Asus you can freely go Official or CustomROMS of your choice.

  • Hello guys, i cant find from where to pre-order or order this phone (for europe) if anybody knows let me know pls thanks!

  • They'll do that once they do a full review. This is hands-on review.

  • I've noticed that. Been searching for a new phone to replace mine which is starting to get faults (fingerprint reader/home buttons not working). There are lots of 'hands-on' reviews that say about doing a full review, but they don't seem to turn up :(

  • I had been thinking of the 1+7 (not pro), but looking at this one seems a better deal, I mean you get a much larger battery, SD card, 3.5mm jack, no notch, reverse charging, Gorilla Glass 6, ultrawide lens AND a FM Radio (does any actually use those on a phone?). And it is €50 cheaper. About the only things I can see the 1+ has over the Zenfone is it has 3.1USB rather than the ZF with USB 2.0 and an in-screen fingerprint reader. I am not mentioning screens here because personally I prefer an LCD over OLED. Mostly because all my previous phones with OLED have suffered with some form of burn in or yellowing. My only real concern is how long with Asus support the phone for? I can't find anything that talks about support.

  • please gsmarena what is the Endurance rating Battery life for Asus Zenfone 6

  • Does gsma have intentions of doing the review? They did not for zen4 nor zen5

  • The fact that there is no AMOLED is a deal braker for me.

  • Asus Zenfone 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Camera Test Comparison

  • if the phone has nice audio output through headphones and good volume output i am sold.

  • IP68 dust/water proof is 0k!

  • As you said the camera sensor in view 20 is the same and almost as good as the p30 pro's sensor. Camera quality can be improved by updates and tweaked as Asus have done many times in the past, the phone isnt even out yet.

  • You can easily bring out things from the shadows on the Huaweis, but you can never fix the blothces, artifacts and blurriness on the Asus. Raising the shadows isn't that much of an acomplishment.

  • The camera is not that bad, look at the photo with the bike ..(Asus photo 8 & p30 pro photo 22).. the camera of the p30 Pro looks sharper and looks better because of the higher contrast ... but look at the shop (door entrance to the building behind it) is completely dark (you can't even look inside the building) all details lost somehow? why?? while the camera of the Zenfone shows everything. I think both cameras have advantages and disadvantages. p30 Pros is better overall but Zenfone's is without extreme zooming in absolutely wonderfull

  • above on the right side of the screen

  • OK, but the View20 has an almost as good camera as the P30, while Asus processing, with the same sensor, renders the pictures almost unusable (I repeat, the grass in the Asus sample can't even be identified as grass, just green blotches). The View20 has no SD card, deal breaker for me. So, on paper the Asus is all I needed, except for the camera. I can't bear the fact that it has the best sensor on the market and makes some of the worst pictures I've seen.

  • They look less impressive next to p30 Pro the phone with the best camera to date. Im glad the pictures turned out actually great! (especcially the picture with the orange tree, HDR is soo much better) looks to my eyeballs better than p30 Pro. But yes nothing at the moment can beat the p30 Pro camera's but hey you get what you pay for ? no 3,5mm jack, less battery, no micro SD and no sterio speakers, no 4k@60 beautiful selfies.. but hey you get great cameras!

  • you dont even have a phone on your hands and call out other people by providing shitty youtube video as a source to compare camera quality? do you even know basics of video compression?

  • you are comparing pixel 3a with SD 670 to this one with SD855, and you type "LOL"? you are comparing unknown sources uploaded to youtube of some nonamer and compressed with god knows what settings? also, calling OIS on flagship camera not-needet or hollow gimmicks is ludicrous. just get lost

  • more .... no bloatware 97% stock flat screen no notch or punch hole awesome stereo speakers, better than iphone max (check unbox's video)

  • That means the OnePlus 7 Pro is absolutely a budget flagship with a premium pricetag? its missing 50% features of a real flagship. No ip rating, 3,5mm jack, wirreless charging, AOD, LED notification, It doesnt even have a Micro SD slot. The Zenfone 6 missing only 2 features (wirreless charging and ip rating) Maybe you can consider oled display premium but a LCD last longer than oled displays and have less problems.

  • -Notification LED -5,000 mAh Battery -Triple Card Slot -Stereo speakers -SD 855 -Brilliant Flipping camera -USB C -10 watt Reverse charging -Gorilla Glass 6 -NFC -Rear FP Scanner (Non Intrusive) -LCD better for long term usage/reading -Customizable button (how nice!) $ 499. Very Cool. Asus People have good Brains.

  • I agree with you. It is really more of a premium midrange than a real flagship. Flagship devices is not only determined by RAM, CPU, battery and camera. Flagship is a combination of everything current tech can offer.

  • I'm not hater just express my opinion on ZS630KL. For me this phone are not qualified to be consider as flagship maybe premium midrange. So much shortcoming on this phone speculations like no OLED display, use one set of camera as rear and selfie camera (rotate camera), no telephoto and OIS on camera, no IP67/68 rating for dust and water resistance.

  • Asus should have put the FPS at the side (power button) so there is a clean look at the back.

  • Haters gotta hate....lel

  • delicious finally some good freakin phone

  • Is this phone better than One Plus 7 pro or nonpro, Mi 9 vanilla/Explorer or Samsung Galaxy S10/S10e/S10+ ? Other than huge battery, chipset, big external storage plus dedicated slot and quite competitive price other aspects is not very impressive to me esspecially the camera.

  • dark mode might not have any benefits for LCDs, but they are more pleasing to the eyes regardless, especially during night time use

  • Does not support rSAP ! :(

  • You can directly use the product code ZS630KL instead of the Zenfone 6 name.

  • LThis is the 6z it will just be named differently for different markets.

  • I'm waiting for 6z.. Hope 6z comes with 1 TB Internal Memory and 12 GB RAM!!!

  • Do not support 5g network yet

  • Exactly! I am wondering the same thing. Why the hell Asus didn't choose a new name!

  • charge other devices using the phone

  • Think its obvious - it can charge other devices at 10w power.

  • Use phone as a power bank to charge other device.

  • 10w reverse charging means the zonfone 6 can work also as a power bank to charge any other device

  • Zenfone 6 has Fast battery charging 18W (Quick Charge 4.0). The best phone money can buy. Saves you money.

  • Are you blind? It's not even debatable, the P30 camera is better. Just zoom 100% on the city scenes at full 48mpx resolution. It's a processing problem for Asus, there's an algorythm that destroys the pictures completely, they're barely usable at 12mpx. The 12mpx of Asus have the 48mpx quality of Huawei at 100%. Download the 11th and the 25th samples from the fullsize gallery, zoom 100% and look in the left-bottom corner at the grass and those white taxis. You can't even tell it's grass in the Asus sample, it's just random green pixels, and the taxis are all blotchy, blurry, blocky. The 3rd taxi sign on Asus isn't even readable, while on the P30 even the 4th sign is very clear. So, again, are you blind, or drunk? So, how can the best mobile sensor available can give worse pictures than most low-midrangers?! Asus, what's going on?! Is the review unit defective? Is there a bug in the camera app?

  • Zenfone 6 is better than One Plus 7 Pro, and also cheaper I'm sure. One of the best phone in 2019.

  • What is 10W reverse charging?

  • How will this phone benefit from Android Q dark mode if it has LCD display?

  • LOL so every review/comparison is fake? Because According to this test/comparison (Although without the pixel), the camera is indeed one of the best:

  • Price as per Asus website : 1- 6GB 128GB is EUR 499 2- 8GB 256GB is EUR 599 micro SD is dedicated means you can use two sim card + micro SD card Up To 1 TB 4 Cameras in two only it is the best in market now

  • Sure content creators can put that 4K capability to good use. Of course, if you shoot in 4k, it's not just gonna sit there on the phone. It's going to be uploaded on the net and be watched somewhere else on any capable electronic device. Yeah, desktop panels are above 25" Needless to say.

  • Don't forget 3,5mm Jack and FM Radio. This phones has a complete Flagship specs but the price is medium. ASUS rocks 2019 !!

  • Camera of Asus better than P30 pro see this link China phone is always diff from Asus top PC brand in the world.

  • That's a fake video...

  • I see more details when zoomed

  • its fake all his videos its fake he want money from viewrs

  • ASUS phones are very good.

  • The burn in depend on usage pattern too. Normally we just turn on the screen for a while, then also set the brightness not more than half then will reduce the risk, but the risk is still there, not everyone have the same usage pattern. I should elaborate more. The burn in is much more likely to happen when the Always On Display and All Screen tech are introduce. Former one of course is always turn on certain pixels at the display, until causing the burn in. The latter is because using on screen navigation button, which is white color, also increase the risk of burn in a lot. Another thing regarding the AMOLED is the life time. I got a OPPO Find 7 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 from around the same period. The Find 7 screen still look good from the 1st day, the Galaxy Note 4 screen already degraded until the screen look very greenish, then has bad pixels around the screen.

  • Thanks!! That looks acceptable.

  • so does it have notification led after all or not!?

  • There are others who noticed it. When you zoom to 100% they look horrible, some have like an aggressive clarity effect added and ugly artifacts. The sensor can't be at fault, since it produces nice photos in View 20, so it might be the processing, but something went terribly wrong with this phone's camera. Why bring the 3.5 and other unrelated stuff into discussion, though?

  • Thank you. That's good to see it's positioned on the front and not on the underside next to the charging port, like I saw with another bezel-less phone. I know the Zenfone 5 was limited to just red, green and orange. But it would be amazing if this one can do all different colours. I loved the RGB notification light on my OnePlus One and LG G4.

  • RIP OnePlus 7 14-05-19 / 17-05-19

  • Read carefully: fingerprint sensor on the back

  • Seriously ?How did you come up with this conclusion when they are mostly better than even Pixel 3? Funny how people are never satisfied with the good stuff, but they are always perfectly.fime with crappy batteries, lack of 3.5mm and all sorts of REAL compromises...

  • I've just seen the camera samples. I thought they would be like the others from the same 48MP Sony sensors, but these look like taken with a $150 phone. How is this possible? The Honor View 20 samples look way better.

  • Top bezel, towards the right. You can see it flashing orange here: I'm trying to find out if its multi-colour.

  • Oh god please let the camera be good!

  • I Agree with you. under display can deteriorate screen faster, that's why it is only apply to those OLED and SUPER AMOLED screens, it its unreliable too, I agree. This phone is not the counter part of Galaxy s10 and s10+, as ASUS said, this is the counter part of SAMSUNG A80, with the flip rear-to-front camera and OP7, with reso and display elegance

  • I'm concerned about battery lifespan...the actually advertised the thinnes of cathode used in their batyery...doesn't that mean it will degrade faster compared to the smallest capacity batteries, but with greatjer thickness?

  • Finally, an affordable top notch phone from Asus... I always bought Asus laptops and always wanted to buy an Asus phone, this could've been it, if I wasn't tired of that crazy super charging Oppo Find X... 0% to 90% in 30-35 minutes and all day battery is priceless...

  • Where is the notification LED located?

  • I can understand for wireless charging feature as it's suposedly supported, and OLED screen option but Asus may have consider to keep the price in check to cast thiose two aside, however why in-display fingerprint? that's not realiable and deteriorate the screen faster than using conventional fingerprint scanner

  • I'm a HUGE Sony fanboy... (Z3, Z5, Z5P, XZP, XZ2) and was waiting for the Xperia 1... but I'm seriously considering to get this instead. More ram, bigger battery, good screen and fun camera for half the price!

  • Besides, it's a 500E phone... Do people seriously think it's lacking, especially for that price? Pixel's camera is only slightly better in night shots (And if gcam mod for the Zenfone comes out, it could beat the Pixel even in night shots).

  • LOL those "garbage quality videos" are actually better than Pixel 3's Why exactly do you need OIS? This phone is for power users and isn't a fashiophone for people whose top priorityis the brand or hollow gimmicks.

  • Very promising phone.

  • I wonder whose bright idea it was to recycle a model name from 2014. Not going to be fun searching for accessories for this phone.

  • too bad they chose that garbage 48mp overhyped sensor for the main camera with no OIS, enjoy garbage quality videos and awful low light everything. goodbye sales.

  • Add wireless charging, add OLED, add under display finger = price up to 900euro for no and useless reason.

  • congratulation ASUS, this is, by so far, the most innovative phone. I really like the display and design. with a massive battery, and amazing camera. and I really love that rear mounted finger sensor, I prefer rear mounted rather than under display, the fact that it is under display, it will consume some of your battery. Im enjoying 5z at the moment and I will swap it to this one.

  • Lcd screen is still good unless u put it side by side with oled screen! Wireless charge has no use for me. Charge too slow!!!! Great phone. Will buy it.

  • Why they keep on making really long n big phone? 155mm in lenght is as big as it gets. Cant put in pocket if too big!!!

  • I think this ticks the most important boxes that many flagships are missing (especially when you look at the price of Asus). First thing for me the audio jack... How hard can it be? Good screen (could have a little better res. but still fine, could be some AMOLED, OLED but then not this price), great processor, good enough RAM amount, BATTERY (oh man 5k mAh :D), loving the cameras (4k at 60fps / and it will be the same for selfies - not frequently seen at this price point). No IP68 which can be important to some but who actually takes a shower with a phone... You can never trust an IP rating even if you use a phone in the rain...

  • Barometer?

  • I have a p2 which 3 years old. There is no burn in. Dont expect people to accept this phone as manna from heaven with no cons.

  • 3.5mm jack????? 100% gonna buy as my next flagship phone for reasonable price of $500 bucks or so.

  • I like big battery and the high end specs. This smartphone is what I want.

  • Looking good so far, finally a phone I could replace my Lenovo P2 with! I can live without wireless charging and all that, only USB 2.0 seems like a bit of a bummer in 2019. Beats most "flagship" phones with the features. And yes, anyone know if it's a multicolour, "programmable" notification LED?

  • All of that happened because of iphone X's unnecessary notch and other brands joined the bandwagon...

  • But if you're going to buy a new phone don't expect it to be 16:9 because it is very rare nowadays at any brand

  • Any idea if it's a multi-colour one ?

  • Masterpiece, complete specs, Great battery, Medium Price, Congratulation ASUS Great Job !!

  • the only reason i was going to buy the new Asus Zenfone 6 was for the 16:9 screen ratio but they sold out and now i will never buy an asus phone.

  • Every smartphone has pros and cons. Valid reason to pick a phone? It really depend on personal needs. I won't say this phone will full win on others. I only can say, it win some, it lose some, that's it.

  • There's no such device as Zenfone 6z. Asus will release just one device with 3 RAM and storage variants.

  • Key missing feature? I only can agree with no waterproof thing. Pure Android? No brand other than Oneplus and Google Pixel series, then Android One smartphone are offering that. OLED? LCD is good too. In display fingerprint? The one that is inferior to reliable physical fingerprint reader? I would pick this one than those that offer non-sense features that increase the price for no reason.

  • You shouldn't upgrade. No AMOLED is not a big issue. I know AMOLED offer deep black, but AMOLED also will have screen burn in mark. I witness this AMOLED burn in from all my friend Samsung Note 8 screen after long usage, the burn in mark doesn't go away. Don't come and tell me AMOLED has come long way, Note 8 is just 1 1/2 year old.

  • Time to comment back. Yes, even iPhone XS Max and Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus should cost just 300E. Even Xiaomi Mi9 128GB real price is 430E, not 350E. So, please don't come and comment about it's price, this phone got more value than others. 5000mah? triple card slot? 3.5mm jack? Go ask from these similar priced phone before you come here to comment.

  • There is no Zenfone 6Z... This is Asus' latest flagship

  • lol people be like : oh no no oled screen ima not buy it *puts an oled screen * price rise oh no who needs oled screen and what is that price ima not buy it -_-

  • Asus, we really want OLED. Coming from 5z, I'll not upgrade for this. Other than that, great job.

  • This Camera has pro mode. Please check the launch event for all the features :

  • Awsome phone i love this and i will take if use pure android stock.

  • Does anyone know if the camera has pro mode?

  • Oled and Amoled might look cooler with dark themes but it can get screen burns and increases the price unnecessarily. As for the onscreen finger print, I'm so glade they didn't flow the rest, since it's much slower, and not security reliable as proven from many different people (look it up if you don't believe me). If this phone supports US T-mobile LTE bands and has unlocked Bootloader, then ASUS you GOT MY MONEY. YOU HEAR ME?!!!

  • Just WOW! Go check out first YouTube reviews, this one simply kills competition. Definitely my next phone! That 5000mAh battery is no joke

  • I think the price for the phone its nice and very good for budget flagship I think this more interesting than OP 7👍👍👍

  • Lol go buy your "premium" fashionphones with crappy batteries, lack of basic features like 3.5mm jack and sd slot; and screens giving you headaches and prone to burn-ins. This is a phone for power users and is has exactly what and how we need.

  • 500E sounds good until you think about what the phone is missing. Mi9 offers more for less money. zefone 6 shouldn't be more than 350E.

  • your point? I said no to 6T too

  • -Notification LED, -5,000 ahs Battery -Triple Card Slot -Stereo speakers -SD 855 -Brilliant Flipping camera -USB C -10 watt Reverse changing -Gorilla Glass 6 -NFC -Rear FP Scanner -Protective Phone Case $499. Very Cool. Asus People have good Brains.

  • GOD this is such a great phone out of no where, i hope they have a smaller size, like 5.7 inch, ditch that SD 855 and go for 710 and get a Oled screen instead

  • Yes, it has a LED noticifation light.

  • It runs pure Android. Your other 3 points were ommited to keep price below 500 Euros. Or you can go and 850 Euros for everything that you want.

  • Any news about the 12GB variant?

  • bruh OP6T also have usb 2.0..

  • They already confirmed, that they'll only make Zenfone 6, no 6 Lite or 6z

  • No notch, 3.5mm jack, big battery, and a flipping camera? and at a decent price? Sold.

  • Actually, when you think about it, underscreen fingerprint is just more of a niche thing than a practical thing, because, if you use the underscreen one, it would respond much, much slower than a traditional fingerprint sensor. Also, the OP7, while does have water-resistance, it's not confirmed nor official to decide that it has it. But, up to you, just saying my opinion. OLED would have made this thing better, but remember, it costs around 500 EUR, so there has to be something they had to cheap out on.

  • If this has a very high battery rating this could be one of my choices for my next phone.

  • Amazing job ASUS! I love the flip camera design. + SD 855 + 5000mAh battery + Headphone jack + 1080p display + Really good camera setup Some negatives: - No IR blaster - No waterproofing - No OIS

  • Lcd is way better than amoled

  • The key missing features 1 OLED Display 2.finger Print under display 3.IP Rating for DUST and WATER 4. PURE ANDROID Unless its a Great Phone

  • OP7 Pro doesn't have ip rating either. This one has an entirely different mechanism and it's $200 cheaper.

  • There is no more Asus... Now it's IPSus ! Bad news. A flagship WITHOUT a screen... A freak !

  • The camera will automatically close if u drop it

  • I’m sure the screen is amazing. Sadly, I’m moving from an iPhone 6 and hence I want oled for once.. always-on display would be nice. This wouldn’t matter but now I really want an oled. No IP rating No mechanism as oneplus 7. What happens if I somehow drop the phone during a selfie photo? *camera brakes* No optical zoom. Not nearly as good in lowlight as Huawei phones. Would be my main reasons for not picking this phone.. But if I drop my P30 and it brakes or flow with the river then sure.. Zenfone is a guaranteed opponent.

  • I was waiting for this to be OLED with under display fingerprint scanner. I'm somewhat really disappointed. Other than that, great phone.

  • Waiting for Zenfone 6z features. Hope they go with dot notch or pop up camera. I will instantly buy it.

  • This keeps the manufacturing cost lower compared to putting on an OLED panel. All-screen phone, SD 855 and 5000 mAh battery for less than $550 ? It's a win for me

  • Is it really USB 2.0 ? Maybe an error in the spec sheet? I transfer a lot of data using the usb-port. This is a total no-go

  • Does it have a multi-colour LED notification light?

  • Actually good quality lcd is much better than amoled. And seriously amoled have burn issues if you dont know i have experience i have samsung A5(2017) and its close to a year old it has burn issue like grey color becomes greenish tint.it destroys your whole experience and there is no warranty for burn in issues. And my 3 year old device lcd screen is perfect and now i use my old device for streaming youtube, movies etc....And replacing amoled display is crazy expensive. It will cost like half the price of phone itself.

  • Indeed, no AMOLED is instant skip for a flagship. For me now Oppo Reno Zoom 10x or Numbia Red Magic 3.

  • I hope it won't have the Max Pro M2 auto-dimming problem, where the display is dimming in some apps even with auto-brightness off. It would be a waste of a nice phone. That besides the white balance concerns that I have. (lack of settings to compensate for aggressive blue tint) PS: It has the screen temperature setting, just seen it in a picture of the phone on the site.

  • Hey... What about waterproof features? Nothing was mentioned... Ruben Rodrigues

  • From my experiece with Smartisan R1 DCI-P3 100% + HDR10 on LCD = Great LCD Screen.

  • This phone looks solid for now. Price is good too, 499Euros. Too bad for the lack of IP-rating...also hope the cam is resistent.

  • I'm a fan of LCD due to not having to worry about burn-in. I care most about color reproduction and maximum brightness. It looks like there will be a variant that supports ALL of the U.S.'s LTE bands on T-Mobile (Band 2,4,12). The pricing is ridiculous. It is making thousand dollar flagships look silly. AND...it is near stock Android and retains the headphone jack,. This could be steal.

  • usb 2.0 - no hdmi output IPS no IR NO THANKS !

  • I wouldn't buy it if it was AMOLED, because I don't need burn in. And I know most people don't get bad burn in, but some use high brightness and static graphics. The problem for me is that it won't have the Huawei color temperature setting wheel, nor it will be balanced, since almost all phones come with a blue tint.

  • For cost reasons - its only 500 euros

  • If ASUS made this with an Amoled, they would have had a KILLER phone... I would have bought it INSTANTLY... IPS is just inferior in almost every way. Wth Asus? So sad.

  • i rather go with rear mounted finger print reader than the under display, because the fact that its under display, it will consume some of your battery life, plus, rear mounted is more convenient than using your thumb.

  • Evreything looks good for a pre-release specs, but after Rog Phone, I was expecting Oled Screen not IPS in a flagship phone...

  • I'm quite content with IPS screen, I think the mobile I have right now has a great screen and it is an IPS. If the specs will be like the ones presented here when ASUS presents the Zenfone 6 tonight I will propably buy Zenfone 6. :) The only thing I'm missing atm with my phone is IP-classification.

  • i agree

  • I think Zenfone 6 is better than One Plus 7 Pro because of 5,000 mAh battery, cheaper price, microSD slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a notification LED.

  • It comes with IPS LCD screen, not OLED!!.

  • If the price is right, then this is my next phone. Currently extremely happy with Zenfone 5z.

  • back fingerprint not under screen fingerprint. gorilla glass 6

  • Is it confirmed is 6.6 inch, 48 MP or 6.3 inch, 5000mah?

  • You are in love Razer Phone 2? for me looks this like a brick!

  • Yeah you're right I am confusing the two but they're unlikely to be different. No-one has zero chin because it's a limitation of current screen technology.

  • I looked at the videos:

  • I hate tiny bezels. Cant hold the phone without bumping the screen when I don't mean to. Plus the curved screens display all weird with a lot of content. Personally I love the Razor Phone 2. I just want these specs and the headphone jack more.

  • The nubia red magic 3 has a single 48mp, this has a 48mp and a 13mp. The nubia red magic 3 has severe compatibility issues with Google apps and users are reporting most wont even launch. All specs listed are rumored/leaked and we wont know anything for sure until the livestream.

  • How do you know that if there's no official pictures yet, and the leaks we have are confusing the 6 and 6z

  • please make it waterproof below USD 800

  • Damn, those specs are insane... Seriously for those specs don't give a damn about the size. Yeah, yeah I know, tall aspect ratio, 6.6", and a heavy device, but still I would trade those stuff for great specs if you ask me.

  • People really need to learn do use two hands while using a phone since just using one is far too limiting

  • You might be right but too much width can make it hard for people to hold and control with one hand, so it can be a big issue. The push for more screen real estate plus that is why phones are turning into "rulers."

  • 16:9 died with the notch and the race of screen to body ratio began. phones doesnt really get bigger, its still around 5-7 inch range. the screen just starts occupying more of the front real estate that it seems bigger. also most people who keep complaining about a 0.3cm bezel lol

  • hopefully it is not become so long like ruler 165 x 75 it is ruler hopefully max 160 and width 77 to 78 wide screen phone is best for reading

  • LOL, put down the crackpipe, this phone has a massive chin. It's bigger than most.

  • Wrong. Screens are getting bigger but phone size has stabilised at around the 75 x 165mm mark.

  • Good specs for gaming and movies.

  • Smart Phone size is getting bigger and bigger nowadays. Someday you will need a suitcase to carry it wherever you go.

  • C'mon Asus pls add wireless charging to your new asus model.

  • Game needed

  • OP7P still has a tiny chin, this has absolutely none.

  • Waiting realme uses SD 885 with logic price

  • Other than what looks like a couple gimmicks with the motorized camera, no, the One Plus isn't better.

  • Yes it does, you are only arguing with yourself here and you are simply wrong. Don't be stubborn.

  • One plus 7 pro is better..

  • official image??

  • Higher resolution does not always provide sharper image. From 300 PPI you enter diminishing returns, from 500 PPI and up is almost imperceptible, from 1000 PPI it is completely impresceptible. So, no, higher resolution does not always equal a sharper image, it definitely does so below 300 PPI, it kind of does between 300 and 500 and from 500 and up it is a fool's errand. It makes sense to think that PPI is wasted from some point onwards. For some that point is the 300 PPI mark for others it is the 500 PPI mark, for most it is somewhere in between. So it is perfectly valid for many/most people to prefer better battery life over small differences...

  • Dream phone... Superior to all of the rest of phones.

  • Keep your word man! I guarantee you there are no more 16:9 phone. So the only option for you is feature phone hahaaha. Never say never

  • If you have a solution for cramming all of those in a less than 7-inch screen, then make one and I’ll buy it off from you.

  • Resolution and quality of the screen is the most important aspect of any smartphone. For you high resolution is useless because you want more battery time but most people will pick higher resolution because it provides sharper image and before you say nobody can see different let me tell you that the fact is that everybody can see the difference between 1080p and higher and only people who say they don't are people who simply don't care and will buy the 1080p phone.

  • ZTE Nubia Red Magic 3 have also 5000 mah, but better camera

  • Because that is what the market (most of the people) want to buy.

  • because of rich dumb people who cannot use 2 fingers to type but relied on one thumb instead.

  • I totally get it but why all phones must be big or have more than 18:9 ratio, I don't believe that there's no demand for phones like Samsung S7 with newer processor and camera but same screen size and spect ratio. I would totaly buy Samsung S7 2019 version

  • 18:9 or bigger ratio phones are better devices for social media, reading news etc. It makes sense to make them like that, also movies are shot in 21:9 and there are a lot of persons who use their phone as their multi-tool device so camera, car navigation, social media, youtube, netflix and so on all on one device. That's why the phones are getting bigger and bigger. I use an iPhone SE but I can see why most people demand and prefer bigger phones and therefore leading the companies to start produce bigger phones. Nowadays most people don't even call on their phones anymore but through wireless headphones so the size is not a problem for calling and handling the device since it stays inside the pocket on short calls and when they take it out they expect a big screen that shows a lot of staff on it.

  • It's pretty much impossible to fit all that in a 5 inch bezel-less design. A 5inch bezel-less should be iPhone SE form factor which has 1600mah battery. And you want 5500mah battery LOL.

  • 5000 mAh, finally some juice in the top-of-the-line devices. It's always 3000 - 3300, all the time.

  • A full-screen phone with 5.8" or 6" is acceptable also looking good and very handy. But these stupid companies produce a lot of 6.2"+ and even 6.6" mobiles. Then how can we use handy devices with full-screen design? We are looking for a device with good specs like Xiaomi Mi 9 SE but Xiaomi never brings the beautiful phones to India. We hate Xiaomi and Lenovo.

  • After testing new phones I will say that I'll never buy a phone that screen is larger than 6 inches, I already have a tablet. Also I'll never buy a phone with stupid aspect ratio 19.5:9 or 21:9, just never. What was wrong with 5 inch 16:9 phones that they became "obsolete"?

  • For real!? a headphone jack? this is cool..

  • 6.6" Screen.... How nice! But lemme guess the Dimensions: 19cm X 5cm X 0.6cm !!! Hmm... The way Mobile Phones are evolving, soon a 20" Device will be a (How HANDY!!!) Mobile PHONE!!! Tsk, tsk, tsk, that's really bad!!!! I would happily buy a Mobile PHONE of 5" (MAX), FHD Screen, 64 GB / 128 GB Internal Storage, 4 - 10 GB LPDDR4 RAM, Chipset: Qualcomm SnapDragon 675 or better, Type C USB Port, 3.5" Sound Port, Radio FM w/ Recording, mSD Card Slot - Dedicated, Dual SIM (Nano) and 5500 mAh Li-Po Battery that would support Fast Charging! And Gorilla Glass 6. Beautiful, isn't it? :-)

  • Aspect ratio is also a factor. For me a 5.2" 16:9 is the highest I can go for comfortable one-handed use. A 5.2" 16:9 has the same width as a 5.7" 18:9/5.8" 18.5:/6" 19:9 or a 6.1" 19.5:9 display.

  • for sure, this series includes 2 mid ranger phones, like what they did in ASUS ZENFONE 5, 5z and 5 lite, so there will be 6 lite, 6 and 6z (hope so)

  • increasing the resolution on a small screen has almost 0 benefit. the only use for 4k is for screens > 25 inches to improve smoothness without using AA. if the image is crisp and clear and no pixelation noticeable why would you increase cost for useless pixel increase with 0 benefit and performance/battery disadvantages.

  • Phones are getting are way too big these which is actually becoming less convenient to use. I think a 6" good display is enough for most people.

  • 12 GB of RAM, and 5000 mAh of battery? Oh, and even half of TB? This is insane! :)

  • If this phone comes with 4 camara's including tof and 2k display and 5000mah battery definitly it will best phone 2019

  • My phone is 5 years old and it's 1080p, I expected improvement over time, especially considering OLED screens have lower resolution by default than LCD.

  • Very interested. Hope Asus can deliver on this - want it to be my next phone.

  • If its enough for most TVs and PC monitors I doubt 1080p will be that much of a problem...

  • That's a massive phone! Too bad screen is of low resolution.

  • may 16 announced, will be available 6 months later :D this is asus :D
