BLU Studio XL2 - User Reviews

  • Blu XL2 is a good phone but I can't find the screen shot Icon you know to do a screenshot. Thanks

  • I have had good results from BLU phones, so when it was time to get a new phone I chose the Studio XL 2. I prefer the larger phones because they are easier for me to read and to use, and this was a great price for what you get. The phone is very nice looking, and the screen is great. However, it must be from something in the PlayStore that I downloaded that did not agree with the phone.... it went into a Boot Loop. I had to reset to factory, did not have the apps reloaded, and it works wonderfully again. The battery lasts a long time, more than most phones. The only drawback is the small memory and I would prefer more RAM, but other than that it is an excellent phone.

  • You can format the SD card to internal memory, set the SD card as default download location and transfer all apps except the Google set to the SD card. The problem however is the phone and apps all work well for a short time then it suddenly says the SD card needs reinserted. I've had two phones and tried several different cards and continue to have this issue

  • But my both sim slots 4G isn't working I tried but failed

  • Hello... This is one of the best phone I had ever.... After a 1 year..It never give me a problem.. elegant..slim and super FAST.:!!... and for the price.... Incredible..!!.... This is my 3rd Blu phone and I´ll continue with them.... !!! Strongly recommend it..!!

  • I have this phone now a half year. I am very glad with it. With Blü it is always important that you charge and decharche the battery 3 times when you take it in use. The battery life is very good. I have transferred the data and apps from my former Samsung Galaxy S 5. In a few minutes the transfer was completed. I really appreciate the options the phone has. I only regret that I cannot replace the battery by myself.

  • This phone sucks big time, it keeps on glitching out and restarting itself, battery last about 12 hours if your on constantly, will drain anyways if your not using it.

  • I've had this phone for about a year now and can't see why anyone else has had problems with it. My battery will go about 2 or 3 days on a full charge and at this price range it can do it all. This is a great device to have, just take care of it and only charge it when it's around 30 percent, and disconnect at 100 to take better care of the battery.

  • Ive had this phone for about a year as my back up. It probably got used about 3 months in that time and is already falling apart. It randomly freezes and shuts down and just generally sucks the big one. Avoid at all costs.

  • Honestly, this phone sucks. Battery life was shot after about 6 months of use. Seems to freeze every 5-15 minutes, time gets stuck (I have to manually fix it, a restart doesn't do jack squat. Invest a bit more and get a decent phone instead of this crap. I'm so getting an iPhone after having this. Haven't had a good android phone.. ever. Do. Not. Buy. This. Phone.

  • Hello this is not an opinion but a question. Indeed I bought this model since one year and I have a battery problem (swelling). For a month I've been looking and I can't find any. My question is, is it possible to have any? Thank you

  • I can't agree with you more.

  • This phone really cool I can get a week from this phone. Since am not a heavy user

  • I have this phone my mom bought it for me cuz she cracked my my honor 5x/sense lte.its okay good for back up or for using for wifi calling or porn downloading or for YouTube battery good the screen touch sucks other than that decent phone

  • The HTC evo 3D was a good phone. And, Sony Xperia Z2 is a good phone!😀

  • lmao

  • I bought this phone to replace my Blu Studio 5.5. With this phone, I finally have a decent camera. It takes perfect pictures, and decent video. Mostly, the phone is fast and the RAM and ROM is MUCH better with this phone. I was concerned when replacing the Studio 5.5 that wouldn't be able to afford a larger size phone that does all that I would require, so it was a relief when I found this affordable phone, and really excited when I put the two phones side by side and saw how much bigger the XL2 is over the 5.5; and I was really pleased that the old phone was able to transmit my personal files to the new phone. I was NOT happy with all of the advertising, and how much advertising is connected to Apps via PLAY STORE. It's difficult to find apps that are free and do not have apps- it just takes a little effort to find the ones that are w/out. Pay for an app or 2 and no ads, is worth it. There are apps that remove advertising. I am still getting used to the differences in how this phone operates v. my last phone, but I am really loving this phone. What you get for the money is quite a lot. I do wish it had more than 16G but I had to get a phone right that second and only had X amount to spend at the time. But, I'm happy with this phone so far. At least I don't keep a lot of pictures or videos on the phone, so it should last long enough for my purposes.

  • I had the same problem with hearing volume, then I realized the problem was me. I wasn't used to a 6 inch phone so I wasnt holding the speaker exactly at my ear. Make sure you're holding the phone at your ear correctly. The top 30% of your ear should be visible when using

  • Here's the deal this phone is shit. Excuse my language but that is the only way to describe this phone. Extreme lag, crappy picture quality, Bluetooth problems, GPS locator extremely off and the list goes on and on. Let me save you all some time DON'T BUY THIS PHONE. Spend a extra $100 and go get yourself a legit brand phone from HTC, Apple, or Samsung. Worst choice of my life.

  • After I updated the phone from play store the problems.

  • The camera is up side down why how to fix it

  • Me have the same problem too

  • This phone does have a recent OTA patch that fixes the trojan and removes 4 bloatware games and apps. There will be no "root check error" on wireless update. Trojan in the "HTMLviewer" file that was non-removable is also repaired. OTA patch was dated 16 June 2017. Battery on phone really does live up to it's promises!

  • I've had phone for two weeks had nothin but troble seems to have a mind of its own, wish I never bought it

  • i have heard this phone has a installed trojan that cannot be uninstalled

  • So I've had this blu device for almost 2 weeks now, pro's great battery life I've hardly had to charge the phone and I'm a power user, whenever I play music on the phone it just laughs at me I could literally be playing music for days the most I've seen the battery drop while playing music is about 10% , secondly the screen is HUGE, 6 inches is nothing to laugh at ,though it's 720p and not very pixel dense you will see pixels but I wasnt enough to let me hate it (Movies are awesome on the device especially when you're on the go).My productivity has increased typing up docs is a breeze, video editing you name it, 2G ram doesn't seem like a lot now but it's more than adequate for light multitasking, Speakers are loud, very loud ,call quality is great as well. Also I don't have big hands and I don't really have a problem getting around the screen with 1 hand and I've never really felt like I was going to drop it , the best part about this is putting the phone in my skinny jeans ,sure that pocket is now only for the phone but at least I can take it with me and it only peeks out a bit . Look out for the next post about the cons I'll let you know what's up and tell me what you think.

  • I've had my BLU now for 3 months, and I couldn't be happier. Everything works like it's supposed to, and I've had none of the issues I see other reviews complaining about. I can hear everything perfectly loud and clear during calls, the Bluetooth is reliable, I can move my apps from SD card to sim and back, change my alert tones and alarm tones with ease, create ringtones from my music and so on. Im glad I picked this as my replacement phone. The only issue I've had with the phone is a lack of cases for it, and in looking at the big picture, lol if that's the only thing I ever find wrong with it, then I can deal with that.

  • the phone has problem with the following does not read SD , does not allow to use your own music for alarms even if saved in music internal storage folder, the software in general bad , does not allow for modification i downloaded many external software to replace the phones software the speaker is not great

  • I've read several comments about the problems others are having. Camera, sd card, music, speakers etc... And, I have to agree. This phone is very difficult. The most annoying for me is the speakers. When a call comes in you can barely hear the person, and they can barely hear you! The position of the speaker on this phone is all wrong. I have an iPhone 7, and I bought the Blu for the 2 chip capability. Problem is it's very difficult to hear when talking to a person, and vise a versa. I've done the volume trick everyone else has done, and it barely helps. My neighbor loves the phone, but, she has the same problem when trying to talk with someone. You have to turn the phone over and talk and listen from the same speaker. There is no way you can hold it like a regular cell phone and just talk away. Very disappointed!

  • Why would a new phone don't want to turn on

  • Why doesnt this phone transfer apps to SD cards

  • Why California State declared warning on this phone?

  • This is a really good phone at a really great value especially if you want a large screen phone, however it does have its pros and its cons. I have only had minor glitches with the network connectivity but overall its been great its 4G LTE is super fast and the WI-FI antenna is phenomenal but i agree with the previous review on this site when it comes to the Bluetooth it is wonky at times but it would probably be reliable enough for most people. The speed of the phone is also modernly fast and good for day to day use with popular apps however i recommend you get the lite versions of Facebook and Messenger since they are more lightweight, The screen (contrary to other reviews i have seen) is actually decent and has a good back-light and HD videos have a sharp appearance. The battery life on this phone is without a doubt the best thing about this phone i have stress tested this on day trips and it has held up beating any expectations you may have and i feel like it charges faster than other phones i have had. Now lets move on to the cons :(, the speaker and even the headphone jack is really substandard for music and video but notifications are pretty loud, so if your a music playing through the speaker kind of person don't buy this phone for that reason you will be disappointed. But overall this phone is a GOOD purchase to be had and i would recommend it especially for the price considering it has a huge screen and awesome battery!

  • It accepts micro SIM cards, but any reputable dealer will have cutters and adapters that will allow you to use any size card with the device.

  • Good phone but the Bluetooth capability is "wonkie".

  • I have done that n the phone is still cramp for space ,the manufacturer need to remedid that problem then become a great phone

  • I have done that

  • Overall not a terrible device. The camera however is super disappointing, often producing worse results than the 5mp camera on my Moto E 2015. Before you say yeah well what do you expect for the price keep in mind the Moto E cost me $54 brand new. For three times the cost I would expect a better photo experience with the Studio XL2, it really is just an awful, awful camera on this phone.

  • Hi, can anyone help me, I would like to delete some pictures off this phone ,I can't figure out how

  • android from 5 up on most phones don't let you transfer to SD card however there is an app Total Commander that does it.

  • This version of Android requires you setup SD cards as internal storage

  • I like the phone however it will not attach a photo from my photos to a text message. I purchased it from Amazon and I believe I will return it.

  • The virdict is in after a month with Blu I am now seeing red and upset .. I my the fone fore space only realized apps can't be move to the sd card after installation. These developers are a set of criminal. I see Blu and I imagine watching American greed . So you the space for an SD card when your installed can't be move to the sd card to save space .. this is indeed an insult after u spend u hard earn cash ...

  • I'm using mine with a micro SIM. Might accept a nano SIM as is, not certain as I did not have to try.

  • Does it use nano sim or micro sim?

  • Have this phone for a month now good phone but BLU said battery last for three days ... I can comfortably say a full day with data usage and 3 days in idle mood ... 30 days indle mood that's a laugh

  • I love my phone not a bad buy battery power solid two sim work prefer.... in love with the picture quality... and I recommend it to my honey and he bought one too... so in all the phone dealer got sale for three.

  • I cannot get the 2nd SIM to do anything. Won't receive or send voice or data. It's really a 1 sim phone. disappointed.

  • Both sims re 4G enable I own one. Nice phone

  • ... NO, since the 2nd SIM CARD slot is mean to be most for calls and texting!

  • Question: Is the 2nd SIM LTE Compatible?

  • It's a good phone,but I live in a rural area and can't get cell signal.

  • shut up BLU and take my money!!!
