Google Pixel C - User Reviews

  • Security updates Your Pixel C gets updates for security issues documented in our Public Android Security Bulletins. Note: Your Pixel C will get applicable security updates until June 2019. After that, we can't guarantee more updates.

  • if you compare a phone with a tablet...the tablet has 2/3x more batry than an android mobile

  • Yeah, it's a tablet, not a phone

  • It's not about hatred but about necessity. An Android mobile can do everything and more than a tablet. Most of the tablets can't make calls. Their cameras are weak when compared to mobiles and they are comparatively huge to handle and carry. Hence most of the world prefers mobile to a tablet. But for some, tablet makes a huge difference which is beyond the scope of our discussion. If you seek an one word answer, everyone wants to carry the world in their pocket than at their backpack.

  • CUZ too Big maybe!

  • You can buy it from Amazon! they will deliver to your doorstep, but check also the pixel book just saying

  • Why do so many people hate this tablet? It's not bad at all!

  • there is no google store in egypt and the nearest one to us is located in UAE

  • i need to buy this tab from egypt so where the google store location in egypt ?

  • Where to buy this device in the Philippines?

  • Its used the latest powerful Nvidia Tegra X1 alongside the high performence Maxwell GPU. This is the most powerful android tablet I ever seen!

  • It's not THAT bad. I've seen a lot worse.

  • If you're looking for an Android tablet for a power user, this isn't it.

  • Well I find android really easier to use than iOS and I’m not comfortable with apple

  • Because iPad isn't as easy as android for power users!

  • an iPad does not cost 350 € 😂😂😂

  • Because it's not a ipad, that's why people buy it.

  • For starters, it has - A higher resolution display (2560 X 1800 pixels) - A state-of-the art keyboard. (sticks to the tablet magnetically, communicates and charges itself wirelessly). - The most widely used operating system on earth.

  • Why you want this 3 years old device if you can get latest iPad 32 GB for similar price.

  • and people remember its a tablet and not your phone... even if it doesnt have an external slot it is not your daily burner phone its a device for entertainment and work which im sure you would not store on your device! right?

  • although its two years old i applaud the direction google took with this tablet because 1 the tablet has a Nvdia GPU... over 9000! mAh battery and best of all the features on this thing is that resolution though! thank you google!

  • wow huge battery there

  • This tablet is almost 2 years old, what do you expect?

  • np gps, no storage, no deal

  • use olx to buy

  • Where to buy this device ?

  • Pixel C tablet: I would not recommend this product to anyone. It is probably the worst electronic equipment I've ever owner, and I grew up with Dell computers. The issue is completely because of the wifi connection speeds. After I purchased it new, I noticed how slow it was compared to my phone's wifi speed. I did some reading on forums and came to find a lot of people were having the same issues. It is so bad that I can be standing literally next to my wireless router and not have enough speed to play clash of clans or load simple pdf documents, while my phone sitting in the same spot loads these in seconds. After spending about 10hrs in deliberations with Google, they refused to refund my purchase, and would only agree to send me a replacement pixel c. The replacement device was actually labeled (refurbished) on the shipping order I received and the screen even had a couple pixels visually burnt out. To no surprise, within 1 week of using the replacement tablet, the connection speeds were equally as slow as the 1st tablet, and Google refused to refund me. So after almost 1yr of having this product, the connection speeds have continued to slow leaving me unable to open most websites homepages within 1 min, some will simply not load at all. I seriously hope nobody else had to deal with this product. Make a better decision than I did.

  • There is. Get an active stylus from Amazon or any other major electronics retailer. They start at roughly $20 for versions that don't offer pressure sensitivity. If you want that function, the price will tick up a bit, but will likely be cheaper than many of the branded options from Apple or Samsung.

  • I like this phone but its to cheap and its various part of the mobile

  • NO sim connectivity HOTSPOT for what ????????????

  • There should be a function where we can use a stylus for it.

  • I can't figure out where to how to get that vibration working working on the pixel can't find it anywhere. Did however find a place where you can read the template sensor, weird that they didn't list it in the specs. Also and now without joking around, great specs in this thing, battery is super. Only issue would be that it has a small hardware issue that Google (or LG) does look to solve. One of the sides of the screen cable can get louse and you will lose that side. Send a free new one for you send the old one back, but still a pain for some people.

  • Does the jack socket allow connecting TRRS microphone (like Rode Smartlav+) to record sound?

  • 517 grams is heavy. Google should make a 2560 x 1920 resolution 7.9" tablet to complete with the iPad Mini. Charge a little more because it would be better!

  • Had the same model for around a year now and had no problems to date...

  • I have bought a pixel C 32 GB a year ago. Since than the tablet WENT WRONG 3 times! The problem was with the display all 3 times: it didn't respond or didn't refresh correctly. I also had problems with the wifi, it disconnects sometimes. I just had to send it back, and they replaced it, but it is NOT a stable device in my opinion. If you want a ready-to-use tablet DO NOT buy this one, it's not stable. I won't buy first generation products in the future :(.

  • try looking at this phone from the side, its slick, i really love it, it plays great music and more! but at the same time this product has made me feel like a better option is the iphone6+ due to its easy customizability and comfortability. I like Samsung.

  • Try rooting and flashing an AOSP Nougat ROM to your Pixel C, if you're not into that, you can always just get a Blue Light Filter from the Play Store (Personal Recommendation:

  • Dearest Google android fans.According to the last polling,1000 millions worldwide are using android systems in their devices!!!Supposedly a person just using a minimum of one dollar per day of android systems!!The result is 365,000,000,000 a year amazingly incredibly!!!Of course I know a family whom spend 100 gigs monthly!!Google,s real share is undisclosable for some private reasons!!!Thanks goodness that its security is rising and ascending rapidly and after maybe 2 years will put Microsoft behind too!!Mentionable that Google chrome (About this tablet though have 9 Nos and absence of WiFi ac and a dedicated memory slot but still with paying $600 for a 64 gigs one,you have 3 years of constant Google support, updates and upgrades which logically means you don't need to buy a new tablet!!!That's why Google is called a king with 30,000 scientists and experts working behind mountains or running and ruling the Earth,....)]Thanks everyone everywhere thirsty of knowledge)))] browser in Microsoft devices moves faster than Microsoft browser which is the father and mother of electronic software hardware technology maker!!!

  • Alright, for starters, let me say that I think it's ridiculous you're lugging this big a device to bed. I don't judge... but I do. So, as for Night Light, you have a few options. 1. Grab a screen filter from Google Play 2. Put yourself on an updated custom ROM (I can help you with that if you like, it's great for customizability. I recommend Pure Nexus: 3. Wait for Google to push the Android 7.1 update

  • My Pixel C does not have "Night Light" in the Display options like my Pixel does, I like to think that using it at night with this feature on would help me sleep easier. How do I get that feature on my Pixel C?

  • Reason there will be no SD card slots soon is because of Stutnex. If you don't know what it is looking it up but basically ssd's etc can all be made in secure environment but if you have a card slot so easy for someone to slip in card full of things like Stutnex. Manufacturers know about this and once it came into public domain 5 or so yrs ago only the company's that were at end of design/production process (ie - 3-5 yr) they phased it out quicker as an ex custom rom programmer Google know what their doing if you ever used the old Android market you'll understand as about 70% of it were all adware/malware etc etc . As for pixel C 64gb liking it powerful tablet and okay for money considering 1.9ghz cput and ddr4 ram . You mention Lenovo I have the 510 256gb 2gb Radeon video card 8GB ddr4 ram and an i7 2in1 no probs so far and playing xboxone games like Forza even though says graphics don't meet requirements I just turn it up ,sweet as a nut . Hope I've been of some help .

  • Per CNET, "Google Pixel C is the best Android tablet money can buy".

  • The speakers are very tinny the ones on the Samsung tab s 10.5" are so much superior in clarity.

  • The screen is too narrow, youtube has huge black bars on the top & bottom, the screen needs to be around 10mm wider then the screen would be perfect. Does google do any consumer testing??

  • rob is a batty

  • It can do all the stuff [yourtablethere] can do. How does battery and cooling compare? Anyone actually know anything or is this just another _it's worse because we say it is internet type of thing_?

  • This good tablet is a record breaker in NOs!!B Nos(No +)!Congregations.

  • Agreed. MSD will be the 2nd user data/content (photo, videos, etc) backup when offline.

  • Um the Pixel c has a much higher resolution than the Samsung tab

  • No GPS No LTE No SD card expansion $499.00 price? Are you kidding? Have they sold one yet?

  • I prefer the whole communication package 2G to 4G in addition to WIFI IEEE802.11 AC in the Pixel C and more. Been researching the why no Micro SD card (MSD) slot. This is what I learnt, slot will allow to save your photos, I think most apps by design default to using the limited built-in internal storage (BIS) for most operations Adobe acrobat app pushes PDF files to BIS. The ability to use MSD as extension to BIS well its unstable. I have confirmation from Samsung that was the reason why they removed that feature, seems the other manufacturers are doing the same. So MSD offers very limited advantage. By the way, if you have different experience I like to learn from you how you managed to work around making this feature works perhaps help Samsung return the feature to the S7 and future devices. Perhaps the manufactures removing the MSD slots knew how little benefit this is to users, however if this is true I just cannot figure out why Pixel C is BIS to 64GB, if it has lets say 256GB, this will more then enough for us to use and not worry of running out of memory this also applies to the Internal RAM limits. The cost DRAM, SSD are steady dropping and companies like Samsung makes all the components for tablet or laptop or mobile phone even the batteries for their flame up Note 7. I am glad they discontinued the Note 7, confuses the authorities trying to identified which device has the safer battery. Lithium polymer flame up vulnerability explained by the inventor As I type I get this rather odd conspiracy thought, larking in each of the device manufacturers, some sort of algorithm (manufacturing cost vs sale price equals to profit) is being used and followed religiously creating the proverbial equivalent of the second oldest profession the bean counter in their organisation. But then if the specs are right along with price is justified sales will go up ... as the volume sales counter argument. So Pixel C intended to low volume sales? So is there a solution? I think the above keeps repeating itself, they launch a new device and yet the expectation generated never reach that itch you wanted to scratch. Can you depend on the manufacturers to break that cycle, so far by observation product release seems to show some sort of unofficial cartel in play. Perhaps looking elsewhere for solutions to meet your requirements, where copy rights and privacy are off concern then consumer accessible cloud e.g. Adobe cloud, Drop Box, MS cloud are out, you should look to Network Attach Storage, creating your own secured private and personal cloud, that allows storing of data and images from your devices and keeping BIS free for your apps or apps to have the space to manage large file sizes temporary and storing. I did. I know a lot of people buying product that tells them out of memory house keeping required, then you waste your valuable time doing that and that message keeps popping up regularly like a recurring nightmare, so you look for the next one and repeat that cycle. right or am I that far off target? I am hoping that the manufacturers will wise up and product something that meets the consumer needs today and in the near future. Alienware was mentioned expensive however the performance and power that the laptop gives you the confidence it will meet your today and in the near future for a few years. The tablet is a reinvention of a lower spec laptop with touch screen capability look at the tablet accessories keyboard, mouse, pen, etc. Lenovo Yoga Book 2016 with Android OS looks good but limited BIS of 32GB why?????

  • Why would I buy Google's Pixel when Samsung tablets are superior in features and other specs. Looks like a chinese version of Samsung.

  • I don't have fingerprint on my fingers.Alienware M17xR2CWNGSM1 took my face as my recommendation and saved it to internet the whole shit costed me 2Grand.

  • what!!!!!!!!! no fingerprint sensor.ow that hurts and no sim.ow shit!!!!

  • no sim no love

  • Ahh! No support for SIM

  • Google pixel release date, and Price

  • pixel c or shield x1 from nvidia?

  • Dearest readers.A very good high quality tablet with Google,s constant updating, upgrading and supporting! But I think,WiFi AC has been forgotten to be written down!!I myself prefer 64 gigabits version but it is still too pricey to go to my Grand Virtual Dream Musiem!!!On the other hand, laptops work without gsm support but new social media such as viber, line,Skype,Google talk, etc.can be installed and work well!!!Another Google reason:Working with both GSM and WiFi incure more expenses!!!In the end with comparison with Samsung table A 10.1 2016(being used in selected markets!!!?),price is triple!!!?In the hope of releasing facts bravely by gsmArena!!!Thanks mentioned names plus....Justice Rights.Omid12omidvar....

  • It is a quad-core processor. You can go to NVIDIA's website to check it. The big.LITTLE processor is the NVIDIA Tegra X2 which will be released in 2017 (i think)

  • Not everywhere has WiFi...

  • Google pixel c is the best

  • Who needs 3g or 4g in the device when a) everywhere has wifi or b) we all have high power mobile phones that can be a wireless access point over 4g, so no having to technically up and keeps device size down.! I expect 3g or 4g tablet sales are much less these days too.

  • it's not a quad-core, it's a big.little octa-core

  • Why on earth did they make it without 3g connectivity? Really weird decision.

  • I agree with you.

  • yes Type c adapter suport

  • Why the hell hasn't GSMArena.com conducted a review of this tablet yet? It's been out for 6 months. I personally enjoy reading review on this particular website so my patience is beginning to wear thin here. Lol

  • Can we use type c adapter with micro SD ?

  • no sd has a reason. and thats higher speed in performance as we have seen in all nexus devices.take nexus 5 as an example.

  • Worst of all NO SD slot - what are Google thinking?

  • This tablet built for developers, not ordinary human.

  • No WiFi ac? On a brand new expensive tablet? (Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n)

  • Really No gps??? Anybody Can confirm that plz

  • pixel c has no gps ???

  • This is one fast device. I noticed that GSMARENA states that this device only has WiFi n. However it has WiFi ac (2x2 MIMO).

  • You don't need a smart TV to use Chromecast. You only need HDMI port.

  • Tell that to Nick who is asking for HDMI, not to me!

  • Not Everyone uses smart tv for mirroring.

  • Light and waterproof. Some buttons in standard tablet (like my galaxy tab power button) could fried/died if you press it when your finger slightly damp

  • compare it with sony xperia z4 tablet. mindblowing specs in 390 gram device .520 gm is heaviest in 2015 for a 10 in tablet. its more than even z2 tablet 420 gm

  • Why no microSD slot?

  • Usb type c. One port to rule them all. Yes it does support tv out but not sure if device supports, which is unlikely.

  • The did it on purpose for Google Chromecast. Who needs HDMI when you can use wireless mirroring?

  • That's a nice and big Tablet , im looking forward to buy one myself !

  • You do know that hdmi is obsolete in most devices due to the introduction of usb-c that has superiority video connection.

  • oh no!!! no hdmi sigh

  • Google may kill Chrome OS soon so everything is Android going forward.

  • Agreed. That's literally the only downside I think it had.

  • This tablet should've used Chrome OS, not Android.
