The dual cameras have a vertical offset that makes the 3D camera feature useless. As i read on xda, it is a problem for many users. Lucky you who didn't get it second hand and had a chance to solve this problem using the warranty. Also, most Gameloft 3D games won't play on the ICS upgrade even though they show up as compatible on the wapshop, save for the Spiderman game that comes bundled. The EA games that are also bundled work. Still works as a smartphone though (as a secondary one obv)

Turn off your phone, remove battery and place again after 15 to 20 seconds, press volume down and power butten togather and press both till phone on, you will find ''recovery'' option after some seconds on screen, select recovery and select ''cash partion wipe'' option, wipe and restart, "system ui has been stoped" problam solved..

I have one and I had the same problem when i bought it, about 4 years ago. The problem was solved when i replaced the battery with one from JubaTec. The battery fits tightly into the case and I thinh that this fixed the problem. Alternatively use some sort of wedge in order to push the battery against the pins.

Try this, maybe if you push battery pins together to reach a beter contact to the phone power pins . That solved my problem before

in order to install teh simm you must first turnoff the phone, remove the battery, than slide the simm under the camera coming from the battery place, then forwards under the metal protection cage of the simm. It`s a small drowing of the simm showing the position, pressed into the plastic, look at it before you insert it.

I have this from christmas 2011 and it`s still working well. First battery started to swallow last year so i had to replace it with a new one, found an identical very cheap. Dropped down on the street many times , still working, just a few small dents on the edges. First one though got me scarred so i`ve put 2 screen protections on it (just to be sure) and this way i`ve resolved another problem - the touch was too sensitive before, it kindof felt my finger even before i was touching, not anymore after placing the 2 screen protections one over the other :) O had a few problems with BS softs from gogole play market that were keeping my CPU accelerated to max and drained the battery fast - resolve : uninstall them and used pure apps from other places without adds. Don`t let it in the pocket pressed to your body in the hot summers, as the touch will become wild when moist gets into the touch part of the screen. After you let it out dry it will run perfect again. I have more 3D movies inside the 32 gigs mSD card , found on the net, exactly the resolution of the EVO3D, and i love to watch them without stoopid glasses. They are huge, like 3-4 gigs each and work only with the basic player of the phone.

I've owned the HTC EVO 3D for a couple of years. My carrier is Virgin Mobile (Sprint) network. It only has 3G speed, but it's a nice phone. It compares favorably to the specs on the Moto E that is being advertised on the new Total Wireless system. It's a dual core cpu with 1 gig of RAM, and it takes up to a 32 gig memory card. I find the size just about right, and it has the feel of a much more expensive phone. The 3d mode on the camera is gimmicky, but it sets the phone apart from all the other plain vanilla cheapo models out there. Music sounds good too, and the display is easy to read.

I bought this phone as second hand for cheap few months ago. I unlocked the bootloader myself very easy, rooted it, installed a ICS custom ROM on it, and OCed it to 1.5Ghz i have only one thing to say.... Its a hell of a phone, no random freezing up, no glitches, and responsiveness is awesome. I put on it a 32Gb Samsung EVO class 10 microSD card. Only thing died is a battery while it was with previous owner. Now i buying 2 more for my parents. They have difficulties with Xperia-s (as did i)

HTC stands for High-Tech Computers ,but it really mean High-Tech Chinese Crap.This phone puts a greater meaning to the word lemon. Poor battery life . constantly freezes up. Very .unstable, randomly sends calls to messages with allowing user to pickup, only partly notifies user who call. Sometime the phone actually functions well this is merely a carrot given so you will put up with it's bad behavior. I've done so for over a year. On the bad side, on a score from 1 to 5 this is in the minus category . Don't believe me? Check out the reviews "Laptop Magazines " list as one the worst smart phones of all time along with the HTC Cha Cha,and the HTC Wildfire. Like I said HTC,... High-Tech Crap!

I have been using this unofficial port for several months and everything (except the 3D camera) works fine. It's stable, fast and up to date, you get more RAM available for your apps. You can overclock the processor up to 1.7Ghz (I use the safer 1.5Ghz however).

3D pictures are so amazing. Performance really fine. But not good at taking 2D pictures , idky , but they are just not as i expected. And the phone is always heating up , like it's on fire . Those heat causes a lost of battery , that's why the battery can't stay long. Hope Htc can fix it.

I bought this phone used for 100 pouna instead of a budget new smart phone and although its kinda old now I think its ecellent, my girlfriend has a note 2 which I'm used to and I prefer the EVO ! Good points are the large 4.3inch screen, 3d camera and dual core processor even compared to the quad core phones these days this phone performs well, the picture quality is a lot sharper than I expected for a 2 year old phone I can't see no difference compared to a lot of mid/high end phones.available now. The only bad points I can see are lack of jellybean update but you can always root and install a custom rom this was my initial intention but because the phone works so well with ICS I'm not going to bother. I'm also not sure about the 3d camera either it uses the same technology I think as a Nintendo 3ds and just hurts my eyes I'm also thinking that the whole 3d camera phone thing flopped but its cool as a toy I guess. So if your looking for a budget smart phone id definitely consider the EVO 3D it may not be a mainstream phone and a lot of people have forgot about it but it still has some life left in her.

i have this phone 2 years now, and i have 2 friends that have it too and we had no problem with it like ever. Some even dropped it on the floor and it took it well. So if you see a few bad comments about it, remember there are millions that have this phone and they have nothing to complain, but they did not use it as a soccer ball or spoon for some hot tea. Sad thing is no new version is announced with 3D technology and some quad core CPU :(

I bought this phone on February 2012, I came back here wondering if HTC will launch a new version of it, I was kind of hopping for a HTC One 3D. No luck, though. In a few words, this phone is amazing, the 3D pictures are astonishing, the normal ones not so much, they are a bit underexposed or too dark for my taste, or maybe they need a lot of light to be perfect. The battery still last for two days on normal use, browsing, chatting etc and it's also damn fast. It never ever froze, I don't remember rebooting the phone more than 5 times since I bought it. I would give it a 10, but since is a bit heavy and I'm not 100% happy with the normal pictures it takes, I will give it a 9.5 :) Those of you who own a 3D monitor, just go for it, you won't regret this.

The HTC Evo 3D has a huge problem with it's Digitizer. (The part of the phone that you actually touch and it receives touch inputs. It sits on top of the screen.) I just finished repairing one but accidentally destroyed the LCD. I would not recommend this phone. It also has another problem. The Sprint version often has faulty micro usb port.

Download Software update file from any website. If ur fone not showing the update notification. But i recommend u, Do not update to ICS. Ur evo will become unusable. Battery drains faster. 10 percent per hour. My previous fone was evo 3d. I sold it out after update. Now im iPhone user and lovin it :P

ya even i am facing the smae problem with my touch screen. sometimes it is not responding....to avoid this either i have to lock and unlock the screen or i have to restart. sometimes it will hang when i was in call....i cant end the call after the conversation is over due to phone hang..so i am asking other side person to disconnect the call as i cant do. for me some times its very difficult to use keypad to dial any no...especially i cant type '0'...sometimes it wil take other nos than what i entered...my phone is behaving very wierd...pls someone help me

The camera and video with 3d feature is like being on mushrooms in a field of sunflowers. For those who complain go back to the old rotary dial phones. I tried to make one out of,my old commodore 64 parts. It was to heavy with a car battery or I could only go as far as my extension cord. Plus it didnt work at all. Cheers love my htc 3d. The Wizard

sprint does not have 4g lte though. it's only wimax. the phone does not work on 4g lte service only on wimax. so when they upgrade to LTE you're phone is not going to get 4g anymore. but don't worry too much, sprint doesn't really have any plans to bring lte anytime soon. they're 3 years behind everyone else. and if you have cricket, you're stuck with sprints network so no LTE for you either even though cricket is advertising it, it's in like 3 cities.

Have been using this phone since Dec 2011. Have found it to do everything it is said to, completely satisfactory. A little heavy on power, especially when using Sygic GPS, but this can be handled by a power adaptor on the vehicle, so no real problem. Only disappointment is that the lovely 3D photos cannot be viewed in anything except the phone itself.

Hm, have you tried going to manage apps in the settings, list all then select Bluetooth Share and clear data? And maybe unpair the devices you have listed and remove from the person's device list and pair again?

it mostly happens because of two problems 1. SW problem 2. short-circuit in htc it happens mostly because of short circuit.if u'r phone heats near the sim and chip area it must be the problem.

There was a known old issue .. may be the h/w of yours its not fixed... the solution is to place a small chip below the battery near connection point so that it gets raised by 0.5-1 mm...try it ... just fold some paper and put it there

EVO 3D one of the best smartphone I used so far. Galaxy S2 heats up too much. After playing Modern Combat 3 for 10 minutes, I can't even touch it. But no heating in EVO 3D even after 1 hour. Adreno GPU is way better then Mali-400.

I do happen to know what's going on here I have been dealing with the same thing. The carriage that holds the sim card is soldered on to a board. There are 4 corners, 1 or more have cracked and there is no longer contact. I carefully re soldered all 4 corners works fine now.

It is quite simple actually a feature that is really not mentioned.It seems to work for a majority of devices but maybe only OS specific too. For my HTC EVO you can either hold down the POWER button and press the HOME button or press both the POWER and DOWN VOLUME button simultaneously.

It's wonderful experience watching 3d movies on this phone if you can get 3d content. Only one person can watch 3d Movie as it is glassless 3d. There are 3d games bundled with the phone which are good. you can also play non 3d content/games as well.The biggest plus is you can shoot 3d video and pictures from this phone. 3d videos are really amazing. The only -ve I found till now is it's size which may be bulky for some.

Answer: The rooting means breaking the limit of os use. after rooting you can access os folder and edit os files. its means you can change your overall phone. but be careful rooting will avoid warranty and also file change cause errors in phone.

I stuck with the stock OS, and sense is laggy as hell. However when using Go Launcher the framerate is excellent and looks just as good or better with customization. Juice Defender (rooted) works amazingly on this phone as well. Overall I love using it everyday.

It's slow, and what's worst - the phone does have a dedicated external shutter button, BUT you cannot lock exposure with a half press like you do on any camera! Connect Wi-fi because the download is big and go to Settings -> About phone (last option) -> Software updates -> Check now. Then accept the update. Be sure to have battery charged and let your phone update even if it seems "frozen" let it do its process. :)

I don't know who told you that it's normal for HTC's screens to go just out of warranty but they are wrong, maybe a couple go just out of warranty, but quite a number last for years. I've had a HD2 since I lived at my old house and I've lived here now for 3 years and it still works fine, and that was bought second hand from CEX to start with, and I'm now considering upgrading to an Evo3D 'cos I like the HD2 so much but want an Android phone now. The life of the screen usually depends on how you treat the phone, if you go throwing it around and dropping it it ain't gonna last, but if you take care of it, it should last for ages. I've done all sorts with mine even dropped it on cobbles once (thought that was it), but thankfully 'cos I have it in a cover the cover has saved it time and time again.

I had this phone for under a year, I loved it when it worked, but it had many problems. The screen burnt out on it, the motherboard fried, service can go from full bars to emergency only, the battery overheated twice, touch screen became unresponsive, and the system became glitchy when the mobile data and phone were left on for lengthy periods of time.

Got this phone 3 weeks ago in Pakistan, working great, by manual synchronization, I am able to get 14 to 15 hours battery time, I have noticed that wifi requires much less battery than edge/gprs. 3D effects are a great plus, it took me some time to take good 3D pics but at the end of the day it is very good choice to go. I had a travel charger of LG and it charges in couple of hours, I hope it is not harmful for the battery.

DO Not update to official ICS 3D gameloft games will stop working and ics browser will no longer show 3d mpo pics . Basically official ics is not so compatible with EVO 3d and has many other bugs ,more battery drainage and more ram consumption , stick to the official bugfree gingerbread and don't make the mistake I did. Rooted evo3d users can easily downgrade unlike me :(

I have been using this phone since it was launched in my country, and I'm very satisfied with this phone especially with the special features that other phones don't have and I mean the 3d function which many other phone owners want to have but they don't. Dont buy this phone. Only buy if u want to watch 3D stuff. Otherwise it isn't good fone for daily use. Perfomance wise its not pretty good as it has to be with its dual core 1.2 processor and huge amount of RAM. I have evo 3d but im not setisfied. I used iPhone 4 for just a bit and feel the diffrence of speed and smoothness in a very short time. iPhone is much more smoother with its single core processor, and im suprised after using it. Dont see the benchmarks, use it urself and then decide. Sorry for my bad english but i hope its understandable.

Hi, i am from India. I just recently purchased EVO3D and first thing i did was to update it to ICS, 4.0.3. But i can't seem to change the shortcut icons on the lock screen, it shows the same icons as on the home screen. Also, i can't seem to turn off the haptic feedback while typing on the keyboard. I am finding it very disconcerting as i am not used to using vibration feedback while typing. Can anybody help??

The ICS upgrade fixed the video playback. Initially I could not watch Top Gear MKVs on Gingerbread, now it works correctly on MX Player with ICS. Excellent upgrade experience versus my previous phone!!!

hm...? mine works perfect, iam using 32gb class 6 ultra microsd card U Mean when you connect usb cable to pc , then choose mount sd card? try another usb cable try to connect the icrosdcard directly to a card reader or pc to check if the card is working try the card in another phone to make sure its working or just go to settings/storage and check if it shows the information, size , left ..etc

Super User does not come in the original , if superuser is in the phone, well that means the phone is rooted. to check if ur phone is rooted/unlocked, turn off phone,power up by holding power and volume down, it will say unlocked if its unlocked, or locked if its not rooted. i can help u get the 3 files needed(i can send to email), xda tutorial includes complicated goldcard and stuff, i never use one , its really simple if u follow what i said, it will be done in a few minutes

I had my phone rooted, but when the ics 4.0 was released ,i relocked the phone and got it to stock then update it to ics 4.0 1-you need 3 files : adb.exe ,adbwinapi.dll , fastboot.exe get them here: run it , then in the extracted files in "platform-tools" copy the 3 files and put them in a folder name it lets say android, and put the folder in the local disk C: drive 2-turn off phone, then hold volume down button and power the phone (keep holding both buttons) till it starts in boot mode,press power button 1 time on the choice"bootloader" 3-connect usb cable to the phone, and it will say on the phone fastboot---usb 4-open cmd(type in start cmd it will open) type cd c:/Android then type fastboot oem lock this will relock the phone to original state(its not locking sim or anything dont worry) restart phone, and now you will be able to search for update and use it, if not(in case u have custom rom) then download original rom here: choose the right original rom. then turn off phone ,power up and hold volume down ,press power button 1 time,until it says fasboot--usb now run the downloaded original rom , simply run it like a program , pres next next...it will install the original rom on the phone, after it finished , u can search for update and get the new ics ive done this at least 100 times more info/tutorial

I don't recommend rooting, this can void your warranty, if you have problems. Example: if your motherboard goes dead, they can still identify if it's rooted. Thing to keep in mind.

Superuser is an app that manages root access on rooted phones. you shouldn't have it on a stock phone. And you wouldnt be able to update your phone to ics OTA if your phone is rooted or bootloader unlocked.

yes, this phone is definitely worth buying specially now that it's ICS update is out..the phone is very responsive, very fast..battery is average for a smartphone this powerful, if you can live with a need-to-charge-once-a-day smartphone then the battery is definitely not an issue.it's battery will last depending on your usage.but at most you really have to charge it at least once a day. camera is alright, not great but not bad. the 3D is just an added feature for me, it's not really something i look forward to seeing every minute of every day, it's pretty cool though..music is great, i love the sound quality with it's packaged earphones. build quality is great as well. i've had mine for 3 months now and not even a hairline scratch can be found. screen is bright and the colors are very clear and very responsive..so yeah, all in all great phone..i'd rate this phone 9/10..personal preference really.it just has everything i like and need on a smartphone..:)

i am playing GTA III now. frame rate is okay. screen is responsive. but the phone goes hot after some time. i played other games like BIA 2, NOVA 2 and more but no problem with them. wateva, this is a real smartphone. i am totally satisfied with it. no issues. my battery lasts 14-15 hours. everything is alright. if somebody had issues, i wd say that's bad luck. i have used others like SGS2, iphone 4. EVO 3D is one of the best phones ever released (my opinion).

Last night I go to a party were I take same pics from EVO 3d 3d pics are better than 2d pics because there is lot of light in party. 2d pics has some darkness in then not so bright because flash in not on in 2d but in 3d mode flash is on and pics are very bright and clear. I don't know the resone but 3d pics are great with amazing depth I think it is better than any other 3d pics.

i don't think you should bash the phone like that..maybe you just kept getting bad units of this phone..the problems you said i've never experienced at all.i've had this phone for the past 3 months and i had no problem with it at all..the gingerbread OS it came with was a bit slow but that's it, no other issues.specially now that i have the ICS on it, it's working great.battery lasts to at least 24 hours with moderate use, calls and texts, music and web browsing..

I got one of these EVO 3D phone April of 2011 when they were released. I live next to I-64 off the state capital exit in Ky. I am now on my 3rd phone. This is just an expensive paperweight! Drop calls constantly. Battery last about 4 hrs. On a full charge. Locks up. Randomly changes screens, randomly sends calls. I could go on but, you get the picture. If you already have enough stress in your life, stay away from this piece of junk because Sprint really is not going to do anything for you. Sprint has the worst customer service!

Its a vry technically robust set, I received ICS update yesterday but I lost the fluid touch feel of gingerbread 2.3 had.It discernibly took away the speed of 2.3. I am looking for any option to rollback to original gingerbread. Probably, 2.3. is the best suited O.S. for EVO 3d. Now, it is left to you if u would opt for update. Bi Ashok

No screen lag. 3d is very good with great depth. It will take 2-3 days to adjust your eyes for 3d. Don't panic in starting. User interface is great. No lag upto till date. No force restart. My phone is 15 day old. Not updated to ics. India

i just try to answer.... 1.3D just the same as ginger, no better picture, etc. all the same 2.the phone runs ICS perfectly smooth, no much glitches (my opinion). free RAM is much better than gingerbread, after start the phone around 350-370MB,and 300MB above when normally 3.we got HTC sense 3.6, and it's the best UI i've ever use

Actually the battery capacity is much more than some other high-end devices... it's just the way you use it, that's why it probably drains too quick.. for me it's way better than other devices

Don't cry, you can get it back to original firmware version. Take it to a software installer shop nearby and tell him to revert to original biso setup. That's it. You can do it yourself but will require hours of learning on google and You Tube.

Yes, there is an excelent software for viewing 3D movies.Is named 3DVPlayer v3.0.1 If you want to convert mkv SBS 3D movies for your EVO3D you can use "WinAVI All in One Converter".The main settings are: rez-960x540, video decoder H.264/AVC, Audio encoder AAC(don`t use other encoder!!!)Subtitle Stream 0-Disable(always!!!), Enable subtitles-No(always !!!). i've seen some posts saying they have bugs with the ICS of their Evo 3D, so far i haven't seen any in mine..my phone just became 10times better when i updated to ICS..on the gingerbread OS my phone has lags specially in the gallery when swiping through images, it was just very slow.now on the ICS update there's no lag at all.very quick to zoom in, zoom out, swipe pictures.the interface as well, for me, is a whole lot better..everything is just great..the camera on mine works fine as well, 2D and 3D mode..i'm from the Philippines by the way..so yeah, i think HTC Philippines did a great job with the ICS update, i feel like my phone is brandnew again..:)

Hm....well i use a free and amazing program called "mp4forhd" ,i convert all my videos and put them in the phone, i do have other full hd 1080p and 720p But i use an app to run them --->mx player . about the 3D content, well i got no clue if you mean the videos you store or have are in bad quality if you mean in youtube, well thats the a problem in youtube after the updates , the quality of 3d videos really sucks, I reinstalled the old youtube app, and all the 3d videos works perfect with perfect quality

Once the applications are processed by cpu then there data is shifted to ram, ram helps carry more apps data to run more applications at a time to improve multi-tasking. Only new commands are processed again by cpu old commands are retrieved from ram. My opinion is mixed about between evo 3d and sensation xe. Both are good phones xe has better cpu where as evo has more ram. Now find other features that suit your need except ram or cpu.

I own this phone for 3 months and from my experience, this phone is superb! The only disappointment was the battery life which can be overcome with an extended battery from ebay. The screen (size, resolution) is amazing and it is quite fast. 3D is just an extra bonus to an already great device.

But please make sure at this point it comes with gingerbread 2.3.4 that is not good enough for battery life but it would get batter once it gets updated to Ice cream sandwich. Hope it helps..

Evo 3D is a good phone using it from 3 weeks or so no hiccup's up till now hardware is good enough with dualcore 1.2 processor, adreno 220 GPU and 1 GB ram that a good hardware to run Ice-cream sandwich still waiting for that official update. HTC has quite nice UI in comparison to Samsung's Touch Wiz but I feel that HTC UI is a bit heavy due to a lot of High graphics details in UI that eats up your resources. 3D is additional feature 3D images look quiet better then 3D videos captured from EVO 3D. Overall a great phone. I don't regret after buying this phone.

I am using this phone for 2 weeks no problem up till now feels quiet solid phone in hands, decent hardware 1.2 dualcore cpu, 1gb ram, 4.3 screen all features are there you would like to see in phone accept the 3D its not good though and who cares for 3D in mobiles but still you can record your 3d movies and view it on some 3d TV but on phone it would not might be good to view. Some people are complaining about battery timing issue I can suggest you please take the brightness to minimum viewing requirement and shut WiFi off when your not using it see if your able to extend battery life. I would give this phone 4 Stars.

oh ok,I Didnt actually know that. i have the gsm phone not the cdma , dont know if its any difference about the dust part,BUT my htc evo 3d is a bit different the the ony my friend have. just a bit differnce in the back cover at the shutter button and text that says 2d 3D camera mode both are gsm ,same color . the lg optmius 3d does have lags and sudden reboots and stuff like that, i dont have any problems on the htc evo 3d

I asked this question on different formus and websites dedicated to mobile phones and until now I have 3 opininons pro Evo 3D and 4 pro Optimus 2x - coming from people that had both devices (or so they said) The dust under the screen issue is real (write evo 3d dust under screen on xda and there are quite a lot complaining about this) On the other hand I hear a lot of people complaining about crashes or bugs on Optimus 2x and they all say that after rooting and upgrading to Gingerbread it's all gone and phone it's great

Ok, Now you made some stuff clear to me dust under the screen? wtf...i got htc evo 3d, my friend got 1 , i dont have any problems, i use it in dusty areas, when it rains..never heared that problem before to be honest. i care alot about the music in a phone: -Music to begin with,iam using the htc evo 3D and i love the quality , the phone have SRS virtual surround sound and ofcourse qualizer, you can also switch off srs if wanted. i have installed a custom ROM ,so have beats audio(yes its a software not a hardware). and using high quality philips ear-phones which i experience brilliant sound. you hear details in the sound which you might never have heared before with standard ear phones the lg optimus 2x got dolby audio support(havent tried it on the 2X ,but i have tried it on the optimus 3D,its the same ,its actually pretty good.) -Browsing , i got no problems at all,i open many tabs and use them, and then use something else in the background and then back to browsing -Movies and Vidoes, i like the quality alot, its QHD ,you will see the difference clearly between a 540 x 960 pixels and a 480 x 800 pixels, everything is clearer ,more sharp ,not only in videos and movies, but also in sms,settings,youtube,games,typing,reading.etc -Email? are you serious? uh... well i use the standard email service and sync , i use it everyday, i can open mail,write,send,see sent files and more,i can zoom the content of each mail i get ... -Cameras is the biggest concern here, camera is a big difference, dude, we are talking 5mp vs 8mp , 720p vs 1080p ..do the math---->optmius 2x wins clearly(not of the same "class",iam not talking money here... to me,when i use a htc phone which ofcouse have htc sense,every other phone to me is crap. well make something clear for you , 1024mb RAM is twice as fast then a 512mb , and then you have the 1,2ghz dual core which is a bit faster then 1,0ghz dual core. I Can make a video of the htc evo 3d detailed ,not like the ones found on youtube ,no i mean really detailed , but i cannot makes the 2x bec i dont have it

it's not strange at all the choice both phones are dual cores - they both have the same exact price 300E. Sensation is close to 400E and money is an issue. I am not interested in other phones, those 2 are my only options LG is too big in hands? It's smaller than Evo3D I also like HTC sense a lot (I also had a HTC DIamond and a Wildfire) but I heard there are a lot of problems with dust underneath the display in Evo 3D. I have been reading reviews and comments on HTC Evo 3D and LG Optimus 2x for about a week now and I am still not decided what to go for? Both will get ICS, HTC has a bigger screen and a higher resolution but LG Optimus 2x has better results in all benchmark tests. I do not care about the 3D experience, but mainly about hw specs. Is there anyone here that that "played" on both devices? I am not interested in hard fans that will just promote their favourite brand just because it's theirs. Thanks

Simply Amazing...So much complaints about this device, I thought of giving it a test run. On my first charge since I bought last week with moderate usage it last about 8 hours. After that I charged it for 6 hours and kept it unused for 3 days x 24 hours...emails and messages with market place kept buzzeringg but I never used it. Friends, I still have about 30% battery left. If there would have been a fault with the device or battery it would have died out in a day. I had done same test on Samsung Galaxy S2 when I newly bought it last year. It did not last 2 and half days. EVO 3D is a masterpiece.

evo 3D is way better. s2 doesnt touch it. i had many samsung android phones, the evo 3D has a great feel of quality and the texures on the houseing are very nice, the screen has a huge amount of pixels and the paralax display technology for 3D viewing wihtout glasses is just ridiculously sick. OH! and its going to be getting Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. the only reason htc benchmarks are slower are because of the sense wich EATS ram and because of the higher resolution (540x960) compared to the s2(480x800, wich means the gpu and cpu has to do more work)

ok now i understand. step 1:check if your microsd card have shrinked(can happen if you download custom roms or format it sometimes) ,check it on your pc(see the total storage size),if it have shrinked,then download the program called sd formater ,google it, it will restore the total size. if not ,like you say other files,its the cache and stuff like that,could be sometimes pictures and google map cache, to be more accurate what is eating the storage,connect the phone/microsd card to pc, and mark 1 file after another and check the sizes you might have a folder called android something in the card which is taking 100-3000mb , its normal

Got it yesterday at USD 395. First charge and battery lasted about 8 hours on moderate use. Not impressed but would try for few more charges and might be the battery would give optimum results. Many have been complaining about the display being not as good as Samsung etc. But to me EVO 3D has accurate colours and sharpness. Samsung Galaxy S2 has a super amoled display and colours are vivid. Its a matter of personal choice. Another hitch is S2 is much faster, but to me EVO 3D is a good performer if you dont intend to play highly graphic intense games. Internet, Organizer activities, watching movies and playing a few games is not a problem on EVO 3D. One more thing, I watched Mission Impossible on S2 and was knocked with headache due to vivid colours in 30 mins. where as on EVO 3D I tried out for 15 mins and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, ofcourse with high quality headsets. Will EVO 3D get ICS 4, even if it does'nt I dont mind. Not a world of difference in 2.3.4 and 4.04. My Samsung Nexus S got OTA upgraded to ICS 4 so not a big deal. Overall I feel its a good phone to own.

yes, it did make me choose properly..:) as some other reviews were too biased that it got me an even harder time to decide..but now i've decided to go for evo 3D..as 95% of the time i'll be looking at my phone in 2D anyway, i just wanted a smartphone that has a good CPU and GPU with a 3D bonus feature..optimus 3D seemed to be really focused more on it's 3D feature unlike evo 3D which is a slightly more powerful phone with just an added feature -the 3D.. anyways, thanks for the feedback, really helped me decide..:D

I am yet another 3D evo happy owner. I had many Android phones, SE most of them. The last HTC i has was the touch diamond. Yes i was warned that 3D is just a gimmick, yes i was warned that the huge battery is not enough and that the dual core CPU doesnt impress. I was warned for its bulky size and weight. But i just couldnt resist the price tag, this is a high end phone, able to deliver high end experience at a mid range price. There is no pocket you can fill a GS2 or an ARC, that cant host the 3D evo. The weight difference is justified by its materials, esp the glass vs plastic screen. Anyways, i always carry 2 mobiles with me, one for calls (nothing beats the xperia mini, spec/price/performance/dimension wise) and a bigger for multimedia purposes, including GPS guide and browsing. (brilliant navigation for the record, it was my biggest concern, because you cant know till you try it out) There is nothing that i can throw at the 3D that cant handle. Simply put in performs! The big hi res screen was never an issue for me. Generally this phone only has flaws when you actively looking to find them, they dont jump your way with everyday use. As i use a car charger everytime i use my mobile as a GPS, i dont even have to bother charging again. And the heavy weight Sense, saved the hassle to reinstall half of my fav apps, since there are already there. Even the games i own, like dead space a perfectly smooth and generally i have yet to see smth causing lag to the dual core CPU and 220 adreno. This is the first android device that let me live without a task manager (HTC proprietary status bar helps a lot too) If you considering this phone as an all around performer, dont hesitate! It really does what it promises! It goes way beyond its current price tag!

My friend go for the evo 3d. It has better specs than optimus 3d. Even though the lg has a 3d ui, dont be swayed by it cos it easily gets bored and you cant turn it off unlike evo 3d which can be switched from 2d to 3d conserving precious battery. If you're into serious 3d you can get the lg cos it 3d is slightly better. However you can take the htc which gives you powerful smartphone somewhat equal to sensation and still have 3d as addon? Cool huh.

Dude go for the evo 3d why 1. Its more powerful than the galaxy s 2. It will never get ICS. 3.Samsung touch ui sucks. Htc sense is the best ui on the market. 4. Price point could be the same. I know you have to make some compromises but take the htc.As i've used both phones b4. Note that smartphones these days dont give you much battery life,it all depends on ur usage.

@ shawon.nsu There is no easy answer to which phone is the best one that suits your requirements. The Evo 3D is excellent value for money. The downside is the battery life which is poor. It has a 1730mAh battery but it is inferior quality and doesn't last long because the Sense UI draws a lot of power. I purchased a 3rd party 1900mAh battery which gives about 25% extra life. The Evo also has a poor sound chip and doesn't sound very good, but meets all your other requirements. The only other phone I would recommend for what you require, (and not just because I own one), is the Samsung Galaxy S. It has excellent battery life, I get 5 days from a charge, an excellent sound chip, and a very good camera. The Galaxy S III should be released in a few days time, so the price of the Galaxy S should fall soon after. It might be worth waiting. I can't tell you what phone to buy, but if I was looking for a good budget Android phone then these two would be at the top of the list. I hope that helps.

I have had the phone for a few weeks now.Its a beautiful phone and everything is running smooth. The only things I dont like about it is : 1- the battery life is not what u might expect, but gets u through one day of continuos use. 2- its heavy and bulky and hard to carry around. It wasnt much of a problem in winter, I used my jacket pocket, but i donno what to do now as its getting warmer and i am not wearing a jacket. Its too big to fit into my jeans pocket.

so it seems like the issue is your phone..:) and there's a lot who prefer custom OS for androids..since the custom ICS and sense 3.6 is already available for HTC Evo 3D, i think it's a good buy..there are a lot of this for sale that has no HTC warranty, so rooting the phone won't void any warranty..meaning this is already a good choice for those who's thinking of buying it, and can live with the custom OS for it, since everywhere i read the custom OS for this phone is great..

Attn: All those who (like me) purchased this phone from Asda. I ran a Benchmark test on my phone and discovered that it is identified as a HTC Shooter. It appears that this phone was only released in the US, and Wal-Mart, which is the parent company of Asda, have dumped their remaining stock on the UK market to get rid of it. Spec wise, it is the same as the Evo 3D spec, but the question arises with any future update to the Firmware. Will the phone be recognised as a Evo 3D or not, because if it isn't then you won't be able to update it. Only time will tell.

Its good. The only thing about it is the battery which is just average. Which would improve with ICS 4.0 and new sense UI which will arrive soon. Above that everything else works great for it price.

the ice cream sandwich 4.0 will be released with HTC SENSE 3,6 not 4.0 , still good because developers will simply add htc sense 4.0 to evo and other phones..i mean its available right now for rooted mobiles ics 4.0 and sense 4.0 , ive tried it,its goooood just a note, ,i set the data rate in the camera app(htc amaze app) to 4mb/s and recorded video it works,ive tried up to 10mb/s and it works using the original 8gb microsd class 4 that came with the phone. i now bought a new SanDisk Mobile Ultra microSDHC 32GB, Class 6 (its ultra which means 200x which means it supports up to 30mb/s in read and write) ,it have the similar speed of a class 10 non ultra. i recorded videos and achieved the max data rate of the camera app which is 20mb/s so frame rate; 30fps and data rate 20mb/s in htc amaze app which i amazing , so smooth and bugfree, lagg-free video so conclusion, buy another microsd with class 10 or class 6 but ultra,video will better,camera take faster pics,apps faster,faster loading time...everything smoother

@ All those who like to vilify me for my views. I don't hate this phone, in fact I quite like it. What I am trying to do is point out the problems I have discovered so that anyone thinking of purchasing this model will get an idea of it's shortcomings. The phone has a MAJOR problem with battery management due to it's outdated Firmware and outdated Software. These two problems are well known to the HTC engineers but they have never bothered to address them. That is shameful ! The phone is STILL stuck with Android v2.3.4 and Sense 3.0, and if reports that I have read elsewhere on the Internet are true then it won't be updated with ICS and Sense 3.6 until August or September. Finally, I would like the Fanboys out there to have a look at the HTC Homepage... ...Where it clearly states, and I quote "That�s why we encourage, embrace and celebrate users sharing their perspectives. Which is what Freefaller has been trying to tell the muppets all along. The stock OS running Sense is the main cause of battery drain on this phone (and pretty much all HTC phones for that matter). Whereas on a Samsung the UI is lightweight, yet functional so there is no need for a custom ROM. End users should not have to resort to flashing ROMs or Kernels just to get the phone to work properly. Most people wouldn't even know how to anyway. Your comment on the screen is a bit dubious to me. My sister has one of these things and the screen was average at best. Lets face it, you can't beat an AMOLED for clarity and brightness when outdoors in the sun. Fanboyism is a terrible curse on modern society, it makes people say things they know to be untrue. Ray.

Tried to have some serious music listening today on my new EVO 3D. The result is same as GSMArena's conclusion, not good. Voice was distorted and fatigued the ears. I should stick back to watching TV shows on the high res screen.

@freefaller You should not compare the phone with a GALAXY S2. There is a huge difference in their prices, so obviously the Galaxy S2 will have an advantage. I love this phone. The display is so good that I can even read everything in the sun clearly. As far as the battery is concerned, you can install a custom kernel, I can easily pull out 36 hours with medium-heavy usage! It all depends on your kernel!

usually i'm not posting comments on the web but the comments of haters on this phone made me waste some time to add my comments , i tested alot of phones before i consider buying EVO 3D , battery life as most users comment that is not good , i say from personal expierience that is last a bit over 48 hours with just phone and messages usage, well it last full 5 hours playing need for speed on it , signal reception bad ? i live in cyprus where signal sucks and i never had problems with this phone unlike some other phones i tried and had ( not saying witch don't want to depromote any phone ), bad and laggy ? are you ppl serius it's faster than any other dual core phone out there and in all general the phone runs very smooth and fast, so ppl if you own any other phone and you are happy with it just post how happy you are on that phones comment and don't depromote any other models/brands.

@ rusinstein I'm not 'bashing' the phone as you phrase it, I am just pointing out that it has problems; and those faults lies with HTC for not supporting it. HTC have known for a LONG time that there is an issue with the battery and that the cause of it is the Sense UI, but they have let the owners down by not addressing the problem. This is what HTC's chief product officer had to say. HTC's chief product officer believes HTC's Sense UI has got too complicated. In an interview at the company's press conference at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Kouji Kodera told Pocket-lint that the company's user interface, loved by millions of users around the world, has just become too cluttered. "From the original Sense up to Sense 3.5 we added too many things. The original concept was that it had to be simple and it had to be easy to use and we had that philosophy, but over time it got cluttered," Kodera said. The candid acknowledgement comes as the company is preparing to launch a new version of its Sense UI - Sense 4 - for its newest phones, the HTC One X, HTC One S and HTC One V. "There where too many things in there," Kodera added. "Even on the home screen we had four or five icons before consumers got a chance to add things themselves. @Freefaller I think you are bashing the EVO 3D here. Please stop. Information for you to think about: Smartphones are not designed for battery life, especially not while being left on a table. Autostereoscopic screens naturally lose their colour and brightness due to an extra glass/light guide layer for 3D purposes. Selling a phone depends first on the branding done for that phone. The Samsung Galaxy S2 uses the same MHL TV adapter.

Had my HTC Evo 3d for a month now and i should say that am complete satisfied. I bought this for 250£ (207£ by ASDA has been sold out already), for this price it does a lot better than the Iphone 4g. I was a iphone owner till date and i can say Evo 3d is miles apart in terms of performance and UI, no more turning back to apple Os and i love Android the way it is. I will happily recommend this phone to my friends and family. The 3d is just a addon and i wont recomment this phone for 3d only purpose. I saw lot of -ve comments on this but to be honest this phone perform better than any 500£ handset for the price tag of 250£...Just go for it

A LOT of Evo owners are saying exactly what I was trying to point out; that HTC have deserted the Evo 3D. There are a LOT of people complaining about the lack of support for this model.

@ Crash1o6 I agree with a lot of your comments but also disagree with some of them. As a mid price phone, it is only £207 now, it is good value... but... I don't agree with your comments about the battery life. The display is always ON, whether you are using it or whether it is on 'Idle'. Both my phones have been on idle for the last 2 hours. When I checked my SGS, the display was drawing 42& of the battery's power; the Evo 3D was drawing 57%. THAT is where the problem occurs. The SGS has had regular updates, unlike the Evo, and Samsung listened to their users and addressed the problem with the battery, whereas HTC haven't. As I has stated before, I get 5 days use out of a single charge on the SGS due to updated Firmware.

@ Freefaller Since i got this phone it never restarted or froze. I acutaly get better signal than my previous LGkm900 & htc wilfire s. I have no problems while talking to it, i can even hear it louder and clear now. Before i had this phone my girl firend was always angry i didnt hear what she was saying on the phone.. now the problem is gone :P i hear her loud and clear. The phone is working fine, latest games are running without a problem and it's the first phone that i can read the display in the sun. For me is a big difference and at a verry low cost. And by the way.. i tested my phone.. I didnt touch the phone after i charged it for a whole day long.. only 5% of the battery was gone in 24h. The battery drains fast only when the display is on. Great phone, i love it.. and at it's price it does much more than it should.

This following are comments from a review in PCMag, a very highly respected magazine. The article includes many fine points of the phone, but also states..... When it comes to basic phone functions, the EVO 3D fails. I struggled with reception and Internet connectivity issues all through my test period. Calls sounded muddy and garbled, with some syllables swallowed by the phone. The earpiece and speakerphone were both of adequate volume, but voices were muddy on both sides of the connection. and..... The HTC EVO 3D is the most baffling phone I've worked with in a long time. It has a super-fast processor, but awful reception and 3G connectivity. The 3D blows your mind, until it gives you a headache. It connects to TVs using an adapter nobody can find. It's a bunch of brilliant, but half-baked ideas. If I were rating its spec sheet, the EVO 3D would get an easy Editors' Choice. I mean, come on! Dual-core, high-res, 3D, 4G, it's everything you want in tomorrow's smartphone. But the EVO 3D experience has enough missing parts that it's a buyer-beware, early-adopter phone. @ Gasforbuzz To be fair, it was an expert review I linked to rather than just being someone elses opinion. The reviewer spends a lot of time with a lot of different phones, so they know what they are talking about. My own personal experience with the Evo was a poor one. I spent something like 10 minutes with my sisters Evo and was distinctly unimpressed. The 3D was underwhelming and a real pain to get the phone at the correct angle to see the 3D effects properly. Those 10 minutes wrestling with the screen actually gave me a headache. Anyway, I'll leave you alone to play with your HTC and wish you the best of luck. Cheers. Ray.

@ Gasforbuzz I haven't tried to persuade anyone to change their phone to any make. I have only pointed out the inadequacies of the Evo 3D. HTC released this model as their 'flagship' model and then promptly forgot about it. It has outdated Firmware and outdated software, and there has been no announcement on 'if' or 'when' it will have an update. As you consider Samsung phones as 'rubbish' I would point out this.... My wife received a Samsung Galaxy S as an upgrade to her phone. I advertised it on a well known Internet auction site and it sold in 47 minutes. I have advertised the Evo 3D on the same site to try and get rid of it. When I listed it I noticed that no one else with this phone was attracting bidders. In 3 days I didn't receive ONE bid, and that was dispite reducing it to a lower price than anyone else was asking. That answers your arguement.

Yes, U can use it in 2D on a day to day basis. It won't hurt your eye at all, even I text alot. It only turns into a 3D mode while taking/watching pictures or videos, otherwise it will be in 2D mode all the time. While taking picture you can choose between 2D and 3D, so I love it.

@ ash The Galaxy S II is the better phone by far, all day long. The Sense UI has it's moments but is a massive drain on system resources and battery power, whereas Samsung's TouchWiz 4 is functional yet light therefore doesn't trouble the phones resources too much. Ray.

@ omer ICS is supposed to be out shortly, but don't hold your breath ! HTC has neglected this phone miserably. It is still stuck with Android v2.3.4 while every other manufacturer have updated their phones. It STILL has Sense v3.0, which is a disgrace when other models have had an update to v3.5 or v3.6. Reports claim that the ICS update is bugged. As usual, HTC will send out bugged firmware and wait for the complaints to flood in before bothering to release a stable version. HTC use YOU as testers instead of doing the job themselves.

@ Crash There is nothing wrong with the screen on my phone; it's just that I also own a Samsung Galaxy S, which has a Super AMOLED screen. After seeing the crisp, vibrant colours on the SGS you realise what a washed out display the EVO 3D has. Something else that is wrong with the Evo 3D. I allowed the phone to run down till the point where it turned off. I then charged it for 8 hours and turned the phone back on. The battery showed a full 100% charge. I left it on the table and didn't touch it. 4 hours later the battery had dropped to 91% and 4 hours after that it showed 80%. The battery dropped 20% without touching it! The drain on the battery was due solely to the Sense UI, which sucks the life out of the battery; and before you ask I get 5, yes 5, days from one charge on my SGS.

This phone handles everything I chuck at it with ease. Loads of memory means I haven't even moved an app to SD yet and I have well over 100 apps installed. I can only list the negatives as everything else is superb. 2D camera is a little disappointing, but OK. White balance needs setting to Daylight rather than Auto when outside. If you have an Android phone you know the battery's not going to be fantastic. I moved up from a ZTE Blade. I loved that phone, but this moves up to a whole new level in every way.

You can view the damn videos and photos that you take in 3d on your phone, it has 3D display without glasses.. You can also stream them to a 3d tv so you can see it all in 3d on your big screen tv. The resolution is verry good and the colours are great.. I think you have a problem with your phone, probably you 3d display is not working send it to repairs.

all the problems you stated are expected problems, unless someone is stupid enough to believe that you can actually "print" a photo in 3D, and of course it will suck battery life, HTC sense 3.0 is a battery guzzling UI, and so is android 2.3.4. and duh you cant send them in 3D, not all phones support 3D. as for the colors, that is a matter of personal taste, you cant base the problem on something YOU found upsetting. messaging and dialer is also a matter of taste. HTC evo 3D is an amazing phone, no I dont own one but I know a person who does an dis extremely happy with it and had it for 6 months now

@ Ramek Sorry I wasn't able to help, but after a quick search around the Net I discovered that your problem isn't that unusual with this phone. It appears to be a problem with the HTC touchscreen itself; and it only be solved by replacing it. RE: Samsung. From an earlier post you will know that I also have a Galaxy S, which has been faultless in the (almost) 2 years that I have had it. The AMOLED screen on it is the best display I have ever see. The colours are rich and vibrant, and you can read it easily in bright sunlight. Also, you can flash the phone with the latest Firmware without any fear of harm. It's very hard to 'brick' it. I had the LG 3D for a day before this, and thats got a better display ,better 3D options,and almost 8 GB of internal memory + its much cheaper , but trust me, it doesnt even come close to the feeling u have when u hold the EVO 3D in ur hands.

@ Freefaller, thanks for your help :) alreday tried that earlier :) there was no success...so I guess its a hardware problem :( Just remember my Sony Ericsson P910 back in 2004...I was able to use it a couple of months, then I had similar problems with the touchscreen. That was the moment I said goodbye the Sony Ericsson, soo I ll say goodbye to HTC now. Was always very happy with Nokia phones last one the N900. Tomorrow I ll give Samsung a chance, going to get the Galaxy Note...keep fingers crossed :)

@ shzaki The screen is 3d COMPATABLE i.e. It can view pictures that you take in 3D mode, and also 3D videos and 3D games. For anything else, i.e. making calls, sending messages etc it defaults to a 2D (or normal) mode. I think this is what you are asking.

Ok lets get this right. This phone has a 3d screeen and cameras. Its able to capture 3d footage and and view 3d graphic. For example 3d videos, pictures and games are able to be viewed in 3d on this device and also capture 3d footage on this phone. Its a great phone it has good spec and a good user interface. @ anonymous I've had Android phones for a long time and know how to 'tweak' them to their optimum performance, but the biggest power drain is the Sense UI. Even the HTC bosses admit that: So there is nothing you can do do improve the battery life. Just go into your settings and see what is using most of the battery; it shows that it is the Display. The Evo is stuck with Android v2.3.4 and Sense 3.0. Both of these should have been updated by HTC a long time ago, but they can't be bothered. So much for customer service ! I also own a Galaxy S which only has a 1500mAh battery, but I get 5, YES 5 days use from a single charge where the Evo struggles to last one day. I've done everything possible to make the battery last longer, I turn OFF 3G, WiFi, Background Data, and living wallpaper but the battery still drinks power because of the antiquated firmware and software.

Ive was actually forced into the EVO 3D after my son destroyed my EVO 4G and the insurance company only had 3D's. Well i gotta say its the best phone ive owned even compared to my iPhones ive had (3g, 3gs, 4s0 the battery life isnt horrible if you work it right but if you hammer it it dies pretty dam fast thats the only down side really, other wise its faster and smoother then any other phone ive owned

I've had my Evo 3D for a month now and I think it's one of the worst phones I have ever owned ! The colours are very pale, they look really awful, and in sunlight it is almost impossible to see the screen. Everyone knows about the battery life and how bad it is; I had to purchase a 3500mAh one just to make it last longer than one day. I think this is due to the Sense UI, which sucks the life out of the battery. I tried several different launchers, but none of them display properly. The screen seems to have a weird resolution. The inbuilt messaging app is a joke, even with the text size turned up to 'Largest' it looks tiny. I had to change to Go SMS Pro. The dialer is also garish, I ended up installing ExDialer to make it reasonable. Camera, don't even go there! The 3D option is just a gimmick. You can't print your photos in 3D, you can't send them in 3D, so what's the point? In the UK you can now buy this phone for as low as £207, which says it all! Would I recommend this phone to anyone? Not likely!

A lot of people here are complaining about the poor battery life on this phone. I recently purchased an Evo 3D and like others found that I was getting about one day from a charge. I have a friend who repairs phone for a living and he told me that the battery supplied with the phone is well known to be defective and recommended me to purchase a 3rd party one with a higher capacity. The original battery is 1730mAh, and I purchased one with 3500mAh capacity (it requires a larger back cover but that came with it). The HTC battery lasts about one day, and I expected the larger battery with double capacity would last for about 2 days. So far, the extended battery has lasted 3 days and there is still 48% charge left.

This phone is better than the Galaxy S2. Trust me I have both. The HTC sense interface is so good. I know Galaxy S2 has better specs but EVO 3D has got enough to compete with it (keep in mind the price difference). For so much less price you can get a cool 3D phone.

I have this phone for over 1 month now and my experience is as follows: - The screen is very good. The qHD resolution and the size -4.3"- make it excellent for internet browsing and gaming. The minus: Less than impressive screen performance outdoors, but not dramatically bad. - The hardware and software: I have never ever had a lag with Sense or aplications. Also, no freezes in aplication or "force close" messages. But..it's still time :P. The 3D games included: NfS, SIMS3 and Spiderman are cool, works ok, but you have to deal with the angle problems that are specific to 3D games. - The cameras: 2D/3D. In 2D mode the 5MP camera is..mediocre. It makes acceptables photos in good light..but that's all. In low light or evening is...disapointing. In 3D mode: The photos are very cool, if you find the proper angle (is not very wide but not narrow..it's just Ok. Photos have 2MP..but are ok for the screen size. I didn't have the chance to test the photos on a bigger 3D screen (monitor/tv. And I didn't test the movie mode. - Battery life: After the first week I was horrified by the battery life! It didn't last for more than 6-7 hours with average usage! But, after this, i tweaked the settings a little: Auto brightness to screen, GPS: off and, most important, Network selection on GSM or WCDMA only (NOT: AUTO GSM/WCDMA). The result? IS absolutley IMPRESSIVE: With WCDMA only, auto screen brightness, GPS off and WIFI turned ON all day and with average usage..I STILL have in the evening around 60-70% of the battery..So i can say that the life of the battery is around 2 days-2 days and a half. - The phone comes with a 8 GB card..but i brought a 16 GB one because i didn't had enough space. - Overall: i really really like the phone and I'm very satisfied with its performance. But, to be honest, a great part of this satisfaction comes from the price: I've bought mine with 300 euro free of contract. And that's super Ok for a phone better in specs that Sensation (but worse than Sensation XE.) If the price was another, at the level of the price of Sensation...probablly i wouln't bought the phone

I've got HTC EVO 3D for 4 days now and i can say that i'm more than satisfied with it. It's my sixth HTC so far so i know what i'm talking about. The reason for i brought this phone is that i wanted a contract-free phone an it had a killer PRICE for VALUE. In my country, the GSM version, is sold with 280 euro (free of any contract). The package included class 6 8GB MicroSD and a complimentary car charger. The HTC Sensation is sold with 450 euro and LG Optimus 3D with 440 euro (free of any contract). Both those phones are in the same league with EVO 3D, but their price is much higher. To be honest, i don't give a damn about 3D and i have a Nikon D90, so phone cameras are of no interest for me as a main photo source, so i'm more than satisfied with its 5 mp camera. The phone is very responsive and it does everything perfectly (so far :P), but i'm not gonna give a review of the phone. The battery life is not impresive (despite it has 1730 mAh), but WiFi is allways on so it might improve if I turn it off. Overall, the battery sustains a day of work without charging with medium usage and still has around 30% in the evening...oddly, better than my coleagues iPhone 4(S)'s battery. Bottom line: For 5 years i'm a smartphone intensive user (starting with HTC Tytn II) and I was very aware of HTC EVO 3D's pros/cons before buying it. The reason that i brought this phone, as i have said at the begining, is the price reported to its value. If the price would have been the same as the other 2 smartphones (Sensation and Optimus 3D) I would never considered buying it. But so, it was a more than attractive offer...with a 3d flavour ;)

Important note to all who doesnt know this: HTC EVO 3D, you do NOT!!! have to use 3D glasses to play/watch 3D stuff, This is the latest/newest technology of 3D, which doesnt use 3D Glasses like in the cinema for example. lg,samsung etc....are working on new 3D screens which doesnt use 3D Glasseslike the ones found in the stores now,but its hard to make a big screen 3D without glasses, htc evo 3d have it because it have 4,3 inch screen not 52 inch for example... they have managed to create 32inch(MAX at the moment) a 3D TV without glasses but are not sold yet,just being showed in market,and such...

This phone is superb. I can give 8/10 mark. The screen pixels is very good compared to galaxy s2. i hav used it and warranty until this aug 12 and still not rooted. but the background apps is running too many and used my RAM too much. sometime lagging and i compared with iphone 4 is better in term of smoothness. Even if I have killed a process still got too many ram used. anyone know how to fix this?

Ive had this phone after owning a Galaxy SII and a HTC Desire. The experience is zippy, very light and nimble. HTC Sense is great, I would recommend it to anyone who wants there facebook stuff easily accessible from there mobile. Its also a nicer experience on the Evo 3D than on the Sensation. Coming from a Galaxy SII, the main difference is the slickness. I find a subtle difference in web page and menu scrolling, I suspect this is because of the heft of HTC Sense weighing down the CPU, even when it running in the background. Not that it is a problem, in fact it doesnt even register as an irritation but its a trade off you will make from a Samsung with minimal skins and widgets. I didn't purchase this for 3D ability but as a capable smart phone, the 3D is quite a nice treat for the occassional game or if you've got a 3D TV its worth a try. You cant really go wrong at the price its going for, its a strong solid phone with a Upgrade in the pipeline. It certainly is an excellent phone, and it has a price drop at the moment. If your in the UK you can get this at a significant discount from ASDA if your quick.

This is truly a greeaaat phone I've had now for over a month. Performance is superb, battery life for such a high performer good at approx one and a half day, brilliant big screen, truly solid all round, the weight and build quality very reassuring. This is definitely a heavy duty phone, built for challenging uses and highly recommended for anyone who is looking for a NO-nonsense smartphone always at the ready all the time. Highly, highly recommended. Nothing beats it quite frankly.

Hi, I was facing the same questions last month. These are the points I considered: Evo 3D has 1gb memory Sensation has 768. This 256Mb makes for daily use (the SENSE looks smother on EVO 3D) and also it may be good to have 1Gb when migrating to ICS EVO 3D is heavier than Sensation. EVO 3D camera suck when compared with sensation EVO 3D has 3D. (if that matters to you). EVO 3D didn't not presented the 2 serious issues that haunted sensation "death grip" and "touch scree fail". (you should look on internet for that). So, I decided to buy a evo 3D. I don't really care for 3D, and I think it is heavy, but the extra memory and the minor occurrence of death grip guide me to this one (also it costed 40 bucks less than sensation and 200 bucks less than sensation xe). BTW sensation and sensation XE are almost the same thing finally, HTC sense rocks... the software is basically the same on the three of them. None of them will disappoint you.

Best specs mobile that will last till 2012; 3D effect is great without glasses and processor is really fast; battery time lasts 2 and half days with normal usuage. Build quality is great and screen size is perfect for watching movies or any videos Camera quality is great as is the video indeed this is a must to have mobile phone and a great value for money. Some new stuff done for the HTC EVO 3D: custom roms have :Beats system,srs,dolby,equalizer,apps,new themes,new skins, overclocking that you can choose up to 2ghz dual core (1,8ghz fine and stable) custom tweaks,amazing for example if you hold the volume button it changes song + is next ,- is previous song when the screen is off. the front camera have been hacked from 1,3mp to 2mp back camera have been improved with video and photos 3D picture JPS can take up to 4096x 1152 resolution Some says it can now record 1080p,didnt see that but i did compare the video from lg optimus 3d which does 1080p and the htc evo 3d 720p and they look nearly the same, the lg optimus wins a bit over with the camera ,just a bit(both tried on the same 1080p full-HDTV LCD) camera application taken from the htc amaze 4g , that have many different settings ..2d and 3d works ofcourse. and muuuuuuuch more.........best phone ever

Hell yes i does! if not better, dude it got Qhd screen now thats something! it comes also with 3 free games ,Need for speed (3D and you can turn 3D off in all games,apps,videos,pictures if wanted to be watched in 2D. it comes with Spiderman 3D it comes with The Sims 3 3D try some cool games GTA III Brilliant game or 9mm also a great game

Buy many battery joke. Optimize your Battery using android apps the battery saver. the battery sucks depend on your usage. reduce the brightness. turn of 3g and other stuff. lol

If you dont need to use 3g. Use 2g it save a lot of battery energy and reduce the brightness and close apps that you dont want to use. the user is the one who must optimize there phone to save there battery
