Go to any local reputed mobile repair shop they ll get it & replace the battery or you could get a battery online and get it replaced. I got mine replaced 2 weeks ago n the phone is much better now, can run it another 12-15 months for sure.

I bought this phone on contract back in 2016, I absolutely loved the camera being pretty decent at the price range of a medium grade phone. I used this phone heavily until the middle of this year (2019). The battery life kept getting worse over time, from being able to be used for the whole day to having to be used only while it is being charged. The battery is so bad that it can't even stay on for more than 5 seconds when it is not being charged. It also heats up quite badly sometimes. Up to 80 degrees celsius at times. I bought this phone based on the advice of a friend, but I wish I had known more information about the device before purchase. I would have definitely not picked this phone model.

Very good smartphone. MicroSD slot allows to store lots of apps and photos. HTC original charger lasted only 6months. The battery is an issue. I had to replace after three years.

I've had this phone for over 2 years, and love it. However, the camera is known to come loose if you use it as a webcam on a moving vehicle, for example. I've had to order a new camera part and avoided giving the phone the shakes as much as possible. The battery life is crap and I've also had to replace that. Cracked the screen the 1st time, so removing it is harder than anything else. Overall the phone cost me more than an iPhone 7, but it's worth it being Android. Tough as nails if dropped on the corners too and the screen never cracked once.

Great phone. After two years still going strong in performance, also when compared to other phones, like new midrangers or old flagships. Camera and screen are great, especial the videos, image stabilization works very well. Very solid device. Great audio performance also. Battery naturally is getting tired, maybe will buy a new battery, don’t want the risk of getting a device with lower camera performance.

I own an HTC One A9 also. This is a really great phone. The fingerprint sensor responsiveness and overall phone performance is really nice for the price I paid ($249.00). but unfortunately as many of our other fellow Purchasers/Users of this phone, the battery life sucks. So, I now have this phone as a backup. But at least I got the Nougat update on it. :-)

This device is pretty decent for the price I got it for ($200 CAD Brand New) around a year ago. Anything higher than that I would not recommend. It has horrible battery life (2150 mah is not enough) and the screen already shows sign of burn in (less than a year) by the navigation bar.

I'll be honest, this is the best HTC brand I've ever used. it's fast in charging, fast in functions, doesn't hang, good camera, all my documents work on it is superb, the operating system is wow. I found this phone on a website for $79.99 it's for boost mobile though. Anyway I love the phone but the 2 things I dislike the most is where the speaker is and the battery. The battery is tolerable but I guess I'm still old fashioned and don't use earbuds as much so listening to videos and stuff can be a real struggle. Great phone though. Worth the buy in my opinion.

It should get android o because Androids usually get 2 major updates. For example, a phone that comes with KitKat can get 1 update to lollipop and than a 2nd to marshmallow. No nougat. You should get android o on your A9

Hi! My boyfriend has it and it is still running smoothly, he is happy with his phone, always saying htc is the best. Only the battery is quite weak but if you do not mind it, for 250 bucks it is such a great deal. (when it was released, its price was around 600 euro) The camera is still good in 2017, the photos are clear, front camera could be better.. If you are ok with older models, I can suggest to you LG G2 for the same price, but with 3000 battery.

Worst ever employees of HTC I have been asking HTC from few months to replace my HTC One A9 Sprint to T-Mobile (GSM) and it has been the "5th time" HTC sent me a wrong phone and every time I have been spending few hours to explain the issue and getting it registered. I have been asking HTC to send me a develeoper edition phone instead where there wouldn't be CDMA problems. Last device I received is not only a wrong device, but also came with defects where the SD card window wouldn't open. I have been struggling with HTC phone and even I wonder any of the management associates have any concern for their customers. Every time I have been asking to send me right device, but every single time HTC is sending me Sprint model which does not allow T-Mobile network! Today, I requested customer care to connect me to the escalation department and the person named "Brian" put me on hold for “more than an hour” (I don’t know what kind of human being asks anyone to be on hold), until I disconnected with no hope (btn 12:20PM-1:30PM EST). I understand either your service department/sales department/customer care/escalation department really don't care about their customers and they simply want to relax at their workplace. My experience with HTC has been pathetic so far and I will be bringing these unacceptable behavior to anyone planning to buy an HTC product, until my issue being resolved. It is really sad to see the demise of a companied once I adored, diminishing because of worst employees. Your sales department or customer care has 0 knowledge on the different models of your devices and I can easily say I know better than most of them, just being a user of these phones. Following are the HTC ticket numbers for the same issue: 1. 217038840001264 (Jan 26th ) 2. 217038840001264 (tickets on Jan 17th and Jan 26th had the same ticket number) 3. 216538840001543 (Jan 5th) 4. 216538840001543 (Dec 28th ) – I spent more than 4 hours on phone and chatbox to make them understand the issue and I had to contact T-Mobile to show them the proof that the SIM card does not work. The HTC associate argued that the phone is SIM unlocked for GSM to make it work on T-Mobile. I contacted 4 HTC associates and the last person helped me to create another ticket. 5. 216498840000930 (Dec 1st ) 6. There was one more ticket, I don’t have the ticket information.

Absolutely! It's definitely worth 300€... ...build quality is top notch, really nice AMOLED screen and audio quality is brilliant (especially when using headphones). If you find it in the pricerange of 200-300€, i'd say go for it!

after 3 weeks, the thing that really concerns me about this phone (as an htc fan) is none of all these comments, but it is I feel this phone missing some "htc-DNA", I don't know how to spell it but htc fans will get me. The absence of calendar's and peoples' widgets together with the absence of the authentic htc music player....etc Also the amoled display, it is for sure the best, but makes me feel I am holding a Samsung (with all respect to Samsung) and believe or not I switched the colour temperature from amoled to standard RGB !!! the absence of the system tuner which forbids me from editing the quick settings to bring the screenshot tab on the quick setting....etc many things, I don't know how to express myself, but I feel this is not an htc phone!! however, camera and battery are very good and of course the performance and design,,.. I have also the desire 628 that the company brought me and I got my youngest son a desire 526g+..... believe it or not, the one A9 is of course the highest, but when I touch the 628 or the 526g+ I feel I miss a true htc !!!!!

The thing that distinguish this phone is that it is a joy to hold it, it feels so nice in hand The camera and sound are also amazing The display is wonderful The battery thing is real, without the battery saving mode and htc boost+ u cannot bear how fast the battery drains But i still love it and it is my default mobile But in days when i know i will be away of the charger, i switch to xperia z3(the best handset made in mobile history in my opinion) The thing about the a9 is that it is the single most ergonomic and handy mobile for an htc fan like me

Nope, it's come with LTE (Supports 4G Data). So no VOLTE support. If you planning to use JIO sim then you can use JIO Voice app for calls. Note: Required mobile data to be on for calling or messaging.

After 7 months of daily usage, this phone is still in perfect condition. The battery is still good and full charge takes only about an hour and half (without quick charge). Great Amoled screen quality and the sound experience is amazing. I'm waiting its Android 7.0 Nougat update.

Bought this phone in Nigeria in November 2015. Good phone but the screen is a mess. Very fragile. A friend also bought it with me same day. It had a short fall on Monday and the screen went out. Phone was working but you can't see anything. My friend's phone had fallen a week before and the screen also went out. No one around had the screen for a replacement. Luckily, my friend was slated to travel to the Netherlands yesterday and he said he would replace his screen there. I gave him my phone to do so too. So far, most of the places he's been to have to order it. The only place where it's available is charging 160 Euros. If you do eventually buy this phone, just arm it with all the screen protection you can get. And oh, the camera and video quality are not fantastic. Other than those, I like it.

Ultrafast Finger print scanner :-Unlike other mobiles it dont have physical button, its a capacitive button. And i compared it with samsung note and other mobiles it is ultrafast and it never fails. And you can configure upto 5 finger. Unbeatable Music Experience :- It has Audio DAC, which is digital to analog converter. Which converts your audio file to 192 kbps quality which is amazing, But to feel it you need to use High res Audio phones and 3rd party app. Any sony earphones with above 1500 will be good(Recommended). Let's say you repeated this process many times from morning to night (which is normal to everybody), Android can accumulate all the "screen ON time" and put it in total hours. So, if somebody says screen ON time (SOT) 4 hours, it means equivalent to continuous ON the screen for 4 hours non-stop! It's some kind of measurement to compare smartphones' battery life / strength ...

Sorry about the last message, so i have this phone and what i say about it is that is really good, if you like pictures, a fast phone for daily use and a phone very well produce In terms os build quallity this is perfect the fingerprint scanner is very good and fast, but the cons of the phone are the battery life, for normal use is good Last for 1,5/2 days(for me) but heavy use you have to charge it every day, plus is not the most powerfull phone to play heavy games but you can play a lot of good and kinda heavy like asphalt 8 or real racing but others more heavy it Will lag a little, but for daily use is perfect

Hi Abdul Hafeez, The A9 has a sensor for the compass but not an app. I downloaded one from the play store to use. My Huawei P8 Max has the sensor and came with a compass app (made by Huawei), so I think it just depends on the OEM. I really enjoy the HTC A9, it's a nice phone :-)

okay am using htc one A9 for past 2 weeks and i think the phone is best in this range... good camera ( 4 mp front ultra-pixel camera is awesome) good display, slim design ( may have copied iPhone who cares?) finger print sensor...(good high speed sensor with no lag) processor does its job no hang nothing ..with 3 gb ram. and its installed with latest android version... The battery: The main issue lies here and its because of its slim design it cant accommodate a bigger battery..common all phones have its pros and cons and its something which can be dealt with. The phones runs till after noon if its full charged (hard use) and if its normal use ( whats apping, calling, sms) it can run till night. If games are onn...its drains fast..hence its not meant for gamers. Apart from this battery issue its a good phone which looks good, build well, perfroms well.

Iv had my HTC A9 for about a month now and I must say I thought it would be a sluggish phone, when I got it I wasn't looking for a high end phone as I own a N6, but to my surprise it ant to bad, it handles everything i throw at it, and it is also very snappy, I had a choice of iPhone SE N5x, don't like Apple and I thought the N5x looked to plastic, so took the A9, the only quarks I have with the A9 is the fingerprint scanner should be on the back and camera could be better but it's still good.

I am a normal user and i do not play lots of games. Just usual social media and emails + calls. I take my cell phone with me 6 in the morning when i wake up at 100 % charge and i was pleasantly surprised that around 8 pm, i still had aroun 50 % of battery left. The brightness was around 40 % the whole time. This is brilliant and i am glad i made the right choice. BTW this AMOLED screen is incredible !

I've never had any problems with my A9 overheating. I browse news feeds, watch a few short YouTube vids, play puzzle games, create art pics, take photos & use Facebook/Twitter. I also have a case on the device. The only time it gets warm is during firmware download and if i have a bunch of app updates. I'm really quite amazed at how happy I am with the A9!

Guyz after checjing loads of reviews on internet i decided to let u know that this phone is a step back from m9 and design is similar to iphone 6. Phone works good overall performance with sd617 on board its good but not excellent for sure. Design is v.nice is feel and front glass looks awesome. Camera is mediocre i mean its not upto the mark just get the job done for most of times not a breath taker front cam is good. Display is v.good its best at this price amoled panel with high sunlight legibility is something i really liked. Battery its the worst part but guys if u r intelligent enough to get some tweaks and power managment added u will get some way better results. Sound quality without handfree is good but with handfree they r amazing. I rate it as 7.5 on 10 good phone but nexus 5x is way better i know design,display and sound quality are not upto the mark but camera and performance are just killer.

I want my HTC One M7 back! After owning the M7 for 2.5 years I reluctantly 'upgraded' to the A9 after the dreaded purple tint hit my M7. Everything else was great. I'm so disappointed with the A9 that I'm getting the M7 camera fixed and the A9 can go on ebay. A9 battery worse than that of the 30 month old M7. A9 screen plasticky and attracts dust - can't beat M7 gorilla glass. A9 speakers tinny - M7 beats audio awesome. A9 has micro sd but who needs one these days? A9 has no IR blaster so TV remote (peel) doesn't work - a great feature sadly missed A9 charger / usb socket - hard to tell when the cable is properly in. M7 has a nice positive click. A9 home button disappears when you need it - hard to swipe it back in some apps. M7 permanent home button - always there when you need it. Surprisingly the A9 is no faster than the 30 month old M7. A9 power button - in the wrong place IMHO. A9 cheap plastic back is so slippy I've dropped it twice in two days. A9 finger print scanner - OK - this is pretty cool but doesn't make up for the other disappointments.

I've been using the HTC A9 for a week now and I really enjoy it. I'm used to phablet sized phones but I wanted to add a 5.0 screen into my device rotation and choose HTC. I swap between Huawei p8 max, Galaxy note 4 and Nexus 6p. The A9 is compact and has snappy performance. Photos come out great (I changed the setting in the camera to full size). I'm impressed with the sound codecs they use, it sounds great with my Bose headset. I normally use a Cowon Plenue D but the A9 is right up there so I don't need to swap devices if I'm not in the mood. I love the build quality and 2.5d screen of the A9. I also like the software. I've discovered I'm not a fan of pure Android, finding it too dull. The HTC offers lots of customizations and their own special apps and widgets. Eventually I'll put a 3rd party launcher on it but for now is great. The battery is modest but for me it's not a big deal since I'm usually around a charger. It's only gotten down to 25% once but I hadn't fully charged it and was downloading & installing a bunch of updates. It lasts a whole work day with blue tooth, email and Slack running along with reading my news feed. It's no Huawei p8 max (that thing goes forever!) but it's better than my iOS experience. All in all, the A9 is a super nice phone and makes me consider HTC's higher end offerings.

I don't play games on phone so don't ask me about that, i targeted an all-arround nice looking phone and get it right. I am especially happy with earphone use when travelling, walking on street or bus, i bought also a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-CKX9iS earphones for can enjoy various kind of music everywhere and all what i can say it is amazing! A lot of reviews and myself i can confirm this is the best phone for audiophiles if you use decent earphones. The other qualities maybe not the best, but for a midrange device, this offer a good combo with not too much disadvandages. Personnaly only thing what i not like on it is the maybe too slippery body. I totally recommand it, especially for those who spend daily time for listen music when travelling.

unfortunately I didn't buy the phone, however I heard that it as really good battery life even though it has only 2150 (or more, I don't know how big the battery is :P) mAh...if somebody else can answer your question it would be great...heard that it can hold for entire day with normal usage (playing music, texting, midium intenet usage etc...basically like every smartphone on the market nowadays)

I got this phone and its almost a week now and these are some things noticable when using HTC One A9 -The looks and feel of this phone is absolutely amazing. the design is something anybody would love and is not too huge too big to fit your face. -The display is fantastic, and you can get a good dose of your 1080 HD video experience on your device. PLUS, the earphones that come with this phone is built for Experiencing pleasure, the boom sound when turned on in the phone gives your earphones an extra boost that will make music sound incredible specially when it comes to bass. -The Volume of the device is not impressive but you can change that if your earphones are connected. -Battery life is saddening, when you are really having a good time with your phone browsing youtube or playing games, you can see the battery life drained quiker and that's a turn off about this phone. BUT, this phone caharges very quick Although, the Qualcom Quik charger is not included in the box and you will have to buy it separately if you want to own this. -Camera is delightful. clear and performs well in low light. the selfie camera also is pretty cool. -I have so far not found any severe heating problems with the phone. and the only time you can notice it heating is when you are playing some games. -Finger Print Scanner is very responsive and quick. and can unlock the phone in just a second. Using this phone past a month very good phone the only issue is battery which I have to charge twice a day on using 4G with sync on for 4 email ids, facebook,twitter and whatsapp. Its a decent phone no hanging problems. I think you did not use the same phone HTC a9. Not the best phone is a fact but many things that you said are not so true. The camera is not bad compared to other brands, Sony, Asus, Huawei and even iPhone. The icons give to change site yes. Using one a9 for a month now. This is my second attempt to buy HTC after Sensation 5 years ago. Bought it in Taiwan, in their official store in SynTrend in Xinsheng. Please read this before purchasing one. And think twice. Don't be me, I bought it on a pure impulse without going through forums and asking people and now regret this decision. I'm not bashing I'm giving an opinion. Battery is crap. I keep all background apps completely off by constantly usung shutapp and similar apps, which is annoying as hell. All comms are off except for 4g and Wi-Fi where possible. Battery save mode on. Still battery dies before I get home. It's ridiculous how fast it dies, people. Literary watching one 5 minute video on youtube drains up to 4-5%. Iphone has even smaller capacity battery and still lives longer! Sense is horrible. It does not have common sense usability, oh irony. It's like HTC deliberatly calls things that they lack, sending subtle message to us. Moreover, it lacks functions that Android has by default. Is HTC trying to pull some control freak mode on us or what? I can't even change the order of icons in the quick panel. After Samsung, Sony, Asus and Iphone - this is the worst UI I have ever seen. Apps inside are poor. You dont get a music app, fine there are better options on play market. You don't get a solid gallery. All you get is a cheap, one day effort from a coding beginner app that you can't use even to delete multiple pics at the same time. You've made 100 picture you want to delete? Sure, tap, delete, tap, delete, tap, delete, tap, delete... Camera is shi... sorry, it's just so bad. The quality of picture even in daylight remains horrible, slight zoom on my computer (15" fullhd) shows all posible pixels you may find. The most annoying thing is this weird promise to have a 13mp camera, but guess what, you can use all 13mp in a 4:3 mode, whilst 16:9 allows only 10mp. WHAT? So you are lying to customers when promise 13mp and fullhd pics? Because you can't do both at the same time? However you flip it, the quality of pictures is plain crap. Speed. Not so good either. Say we take BBTAN as an example. When we get to the point of having 20-30 balls on the screen this phone starts to lag. Forget the game, it LAGS in browser when sliding down the page. LAGS! OMG 2016 and a phone lags when browsing, like it's 2007 again! Samsung s3 mini does much better job although it's 3 or 4 years older. And does not lag in BBTan even when you have 80 balls. The size. It has a similar size to Z3, but somehow feels much lighter and smaller in hand. Ok, not bad. The build is nice, fine. But again how come you put such a shitty battery inside and expect it to work a day? The led on the front is the same as it was in Sensation as well as the speaker, haha. It's like you are not even trying. All in all NT$16000 for this. Really? You are trying to sell a budget phone as a top model, but in reality it's actual price should be around NT$8000 and not a dollar more. Jesus, HTC, this is my second phone from you, and this will be the last one, I will discourage anyone around me to buy anything from you ever again. You make dozens of phones and all of them are shit, have you considered making 3 phones, but making them good? You were number one once and now you barely doing it out of your bankruptsy. I have been using htc a9 for more than two weeks.... Its great phone worths to be carried..... It feels good in your fist and has got an amazing amoled screen..... Camera is great outsideand good inside house too.... Battery is good but not great butit will reach your till the the end of the day though using it heavily.... Great android marshmallow and very fast when scrolling between open windows..... Some say storage is not suffi ient I say you can change your external sd card to internal coz marshmallow allows that and enjoy great space.... . .. Selfies are fantastic too...... Ni doubt thst htc will be updating this flagshi and for sure it will get andriod N when rolls out...... Bought and used this (One A9) for a week. Started experiencing its goodness. Someone reviews did mention battery issue (small battery, quick draining). I experienced "similar" the first day of use. I downloaded power management app and got an HTC software update. Thing improved much much greatly. I am a regular business user. Yes that the unit would sit idle when I am at my desk. Compared with phone I had used before (converting from WP Nokia 925 which was OK until it went dead unexpectedly), this phone power management appears to be superb. I still have around 30% battery left after more heavy use this holiday. One thing I notice is the phone never - so far - go warm. A sign of good power management. Probably they were not skilled enough harassing Google newest OS. Downloading app and getting software update solves the problem. Other than that I have no complaint to this unit. Transition from WP to Android is easy, as is switching between systems.

Man this phone sells in Europe for about 400 euro for the 16GB version which is quite a lot and the processor inside is snapdragon 617, like seriously if you want to have a good looking phone just buy the Oneplus X or sth else. Why spend the extra 150 euro for a snapdragon 617 and a fingerprint reader. If you want a fingerprint reader so badly you could buy Meizu MX5 which has the crazy octa core Helio X10 or the Nexus 5x which has a Snapdragon 808. If you were from NA though where the phone sells for about 300$ for the 32 GB version so yeah it's money well spent there, because this phone does look good and has some good midrange specs. But seriously it's not even worth to consider buying it if you were to live in Europe.

Dear all, I have checked all the opinions from many sources. Many are OK and others are against the handset. I was very impressed with the phone also bought the carbon Grey. Battery gets full charged in an hour which is the best quality.I as a moderate user gets the Battery life the whole day.Browsing speed is amazing. Fingerprint scanner is the best infact better than iPhone 6s.Only disadvantage is heavy users feel heating issues and bit lag in loading high profile games which due to the Snapdragon 617.

I agree with you, but in two points I completely disagree with you. Those are battery life and finger print sensor. Though the battery is only 2150 mAh, its easily support full day for heavy users, for moderate users it lasts 1.5 days easily due to power efficient SD617 chipset. 2nd thing, finger print sensor. I think A9's finger print scanner is the world's best finger print scanner till now. Apple's finger print sensor is way behind than A9's scanner. No dual front facing stereo speakers, a midrange chipset, a small battery, and a silly fingerprint sensor. Definitely not worth the price tag. Look to answer your first 3 concerns, This phone is meant to be used as smartphone itself. The battery would last u the entire day with medium usage. I am a sales guy with lots of calls, emails n stuff happening and this beast gives an avg run time on battery of bout 12 hrs on wifi for the entire duration. Using this for the last month or so and havent found a need to charge during my office hours. As far as speakers are concerned they are not as gud as boom sound speakers on the m series but if you use quality headsets the boom sound and dolby surround kicks in which is top notch even better than the apple. And finally yes there is no lag or heating issues with this device while gaming but extensive hrs may result in heating issues. I play gta sa on my device at highest graphic settings with no lagging issues.

Great phone. Similar to other posters, I've been using HTC for a long time, since the Hero. I've always been impressed by the build quality of HTC. Not only is the A9 no exception to that, it's, in my estimation the best built HTC yet. I'm not into specs. It's a phone, not a pc. It's a phone, not a gaming device. I use it for texting, emailing, talking, web browsing, reading work documents, reminders, weather, etc., etc. It excels for those things. Stressing over 700 series or 800 series processor is a bit like needing to drop a few grams as a cyclist. You can do it, for a lot more money, and it's bragworthy, but for real world use it's unnecessary. This is a great phone that feels wonderful in your hand. The battery will last easily through a day of medium use. The external speaker doesn't sound like a concert hall, but with ear buds the sound is very good. The camera is not an SLR, but it's great for snapshots. Very, very good phone.

Definitely the best HTC phone I've ever had the pleasure of using/owning/holding in my hand, and I've been using HTC phones since the first HTC Desire came out. Build quality is rock solid and very slick, feels like I'm holding an iPhone6/s in my hand. Am so glad that HTC finally took to plunge to make a device that feels like a premium quality phone in your hand. It is sure fresh and snappy enough for every day tasks and apps (no intense gaming), which is exactly what I need it for. The buttons are nice and sturdy, raised by just the right amount for a great tactile feel when using them. The fingerprint sensor works a treat, seems to be extremely accurate and fast. Honestly HTC has outdone themselves this time, I love how slim and light it is while having a sturdy aluminum body! I don't know why there is some bad hype online about this phone from several expert reviewers... because it looks like an iPhone? C'mon guys... for all those android users out there that have wanted to buy an iPhone because of the look and feel of it (I bought an iPhone 6 last year to test it out, I was drawn to it because of the sleek premium build quality of the device, but ended up hating the Apple software and OS, and so I sold it 6 months after I just couldn't stand using it anymore) I'm so happy that now I have the best of both worlds... a product that feels premium but that runs Android.... and specifically HTC Sense. Very very happy with the HTC A9. I hope you are listening HTC, keep making phones like this and people will buy them! If you want to skim on the CPU, you should have opted for Mediatek Helio X or even Intel Atom instead of Snapdragon 617. 2. 2150mAh battery is for 2011, it's 2015, most flagships have 3k. 3. I use the 16/2 one.. it is OK.. all negative draw backs are not valid... including the battery, I see the software more stable and does not eat your battery in the background... If I compare it to LG G4 or Sony Z3 batteries, I would definitely rank it better in terms of software stability ,power consumption and heat build up at the same configuration and downloaded applications.

The following is my HONEST review of the HTC One A9, all of the following information are according to my personal usage for one month. 1- Build Quality: Beyond excellent. If you purchased the HTC Dot View grap, you will feel the need to get your phone out all of the time just to touch it and feel its superb, smooth and extraordinary build quality. 2- Screen: Pro: Sharpness is excellent, all colors are accurate and natural, as usual. Con: Outdoors at sunlight, the visibility is low, you have to turn the brightness to maximum. 3- Performance: Sense is smooth as usual, highly customizable and well organized. RAM is more than enough, usually with apps running in the background you will get about 1.5 GB / 2 GB occupied. I don't know about gaming because I don't play demanding games on mobile. I haven't experienced any overheating issues so far. Marshmallow is running without any problems and I haven't got any apps to crash so far. 4- Voice calls / Signal Quality: Voice is clear and loud. Signal reception is amazing. I live in an area where the reception is pretty bad on most phones, yet I am one of the few residents who can get a consistent signal. 5- Music Loudness: With earphones on, I dare you turn the loudness more than 70%, you might suffer hear loss :D. As for speaker, the sound is clear, yet I did not find it as loud as the previous BoomSound dual speaker setup. 6- Camera: I am not a fan of taking photos/selfies either. But occasionally when I did, the photos were more than great to me, I am not a camera expert, sorry. But overall, satisfying to me. 7- Battery life: Now that's the bullet in the heart of the HTC One A9. Under any circumstances, the maximum screen time you can get is 4 HOURS AND 15 MINUTES MAXIMUM. I love this phone, the first couple of days I used to think the batter was a little problem, but it was because I was using the phone all the time. Now, the battery always last for the entire day and more, with normal use. The camera is awesome (more with pro mode, my father has an iphone and the camera is way better because you can adjust the aperture and take awesome pics), audio with headphones great, colors, screen, I love everything from this phone, is very customizable. I bought a cellphone for my wife too, drop it from the stair during the first week and received a new phone the next day, customer service is the best.

3GB and 2GB versions are way too different. My 3GB version gives 4hours SOT with conservative use, 3.15hrs SOT with moderate use and 2.8 hours with continuous heavy usage. Morning 7PM I leave to office with full battery, and I return home at 6:30 with 66% left (I don't do anything other than checking whatsapp and facebook for few min). Then I play some games, youtube videos and lot of stuffs and when I hit the bed at 11:15PM I am left with around 15%. I think it is a great battery performance. Anyways I don't live in a place where electricity is a big problem and whenever I feel needed I can plug and charge in 10min for hours of usage.

The handset is what I would call a superbly optimised handset. Refined build and going back to the heydays of HTC design (they started unibody metal and the peculiar antenna placement). I bought so many HTC phones including all flagship models. Surprisingly I am seeing that "People" is missing as widgets in A9, instead "favourite contacts" is available under widgets which is not useful at all comparing to "people" as widgets. "People widgets" is unique to hTC and the most useful feature which others can't provide & this is one of the most important point for me to sticking with hTC from very beginning. A9 is better than Desire Eye. 4MP ultra pixel is innovation of HTC, In terms of pixel it is equivalent to 16 Mega Pixel. It is good for low light shoot. A9 uses this 4MP ultra pixel camera as selfie snapper. A9 also uses 13 MP OIS camera in back which is one of the best camera in the market. Though M9 uses 20.7 Mp back camera, but in terms of quality & performance A9's 13 MP is better than M9's 20 MP.

How much you pay for iphone 6s? is it value for money? You mention about Camera battery and processor. Just listen, A9's Front Camera is world's best selfie camera and none can not beat it. Then rear Camera, it secure its position in top 3 mobile camera. If you have any doubt, just use it and make comments. Then battery, though it uses 2150 mAh battery, it lasts easily 2 days for normal use (I am using this it lasts 2 days), Because of the power efficient SD 617 chipset and marshmallow. For normal use, it lasts 2 days easily. For heavy use it will lasts 1.5 days. If you require more battery support, it has quick charge option. I am normal user, mainly browsing social networking, listening music and few 3g calls. 100% charge lasts 2 days easily with me.

After conditioning the battery properly (Letting it charge COMPLETELY before using it and then letting it die completely), I was able to get a solid 13 hours of usage. That's because I only use it occasionally during the day, but if you're talking about constant usage with games, I would say you could hope for up to 3 hours.

Battery life is excellent. For normal use it lasts 2 days easily. I am using it, excellent battery back up. Physical battery size does not mean sense, it depends on chipset and operating system. Gionee Marathon M4 uses 5000mAh battery where iphone 6s uses 1715 mAh battery and the iphone 6s battery back up is better than Gionee Marathon M4. So, what is the benefits of large battery? Mostly agree with your. HTC is badly underestimated brand and I'm happy that people started to realize that. However, HTC guys must help their fans to help them... I mean that good but still mid class device like A9 must be priced correctly to be a good purchase candidate. Unfortunately A9 priced the way too high and it's mostly price what is going to be a biggest deal breaker for this overall good model. They just must change pricing politics. You can not expect flagship specs from a mid range device. If you are a Samsung Fan, are you expect same specs from Galaxy S6 and Galaxy E5. 16 GB internal storage is good enough. If you require storage image, MP3 or any other file you can use external SD card, A9 support SD card upto 2 TB which is the highest mobile storage facility. I am using HTC desire 626 which internal memory is 16 GB. It still free near about 8GB. I am using external SD card 32 GB for storage images, audio & video file. so, its not a big deal...

The battery is a big issue, have decide not to continue pruchasing their products until it is rectified. After three HTC phones this has become a deal killer. I will say this, I love the phones.

What I'm saying is if you want a plastic phone that most people buy for the name Samsung, it's foolish. If you want a very well built phone HTC is the way to go. Like Apple, Samsung buyers buy because it's the popular thing too do. I buy the best product no matter what manufacturer. I've had the Samsung s6 and in my opinion right or wrong the Droid turbo destroys it and any HTC. You just need to be happy with your own decision.

It's a mid range processor and mid range Price. M series is the flagship of HTC which uses high end processor, and also pricing high. Latest flagship M9 uses snapdragon 810 processor and uses $700 price tag. You know, HTC is always expensive Brand..

One or two reasons are the use of a thinner screen panel in order to make the phone slimmer, or to use a panel that is friendlier on battery usage. Although HTC's LCD screens were very good.

Can you verify where you get you info on HTC paying for reviews. I would like in on it. I have had htc phones forever and never been contacted by them. I have been contacted by Apple and Samsung though and never have or will buy either one of their products. I'll leave that up to the foolish

Samsung makes one good thing, and really its just OK. Refrigerators, that's it. Their phones are terrible. I have owned only HTC phones since phones became smart. Friends and family that have LG or Samsung or iPhones are always waiting for the NEW one to come out, because they think it will somehow be better. I run an HTC for two years or so because they just don't screw up.

UI is subjective, just because you prefer htc's UI doesnt mean the next person will feel the same way. All we're saying is specs wise this phone is way overpriced. There are much better alternatives at better prices.

Just to let you know that I personally think that this a cheaper version of the iPhone 6 and on. But apart from that I have had a htc one m9 in the past and the battery life was terrible didn't even last a day and that was on power saving mode all the time I never took it off power saver mode or it would last (average use) and everything else about the phone was okay but I wouldn't waste my time again on any htc until they sort the battery problem out

Ok so it's almost an exact ripoff of an iPhone 6 from a design standpoint. I don't care. It looks great and I love the idea of a non-clicky capacitive home key/fingerprint scanner. Just wish HTC would realize how important battery life is. I'd gladly trade an extra mm thickness for a half day more from my battery.

We just ordered 4 for our business. Cant wait. i think it looks very classy from the videos and is a great upgrade from the One S. Android, Amoled, Image Stabilization, Image processing and sleekness and battery saver mode and a host of other goodies etc. It will be just fine. Im getting a solid day out of a smaller battery with moderate use and this is bigger, more efficient chipset / cores. I also like the Apple i6, and thought wouldn't that be nice to have if only it had Android in it. I must have had a dream and it just came true. I must say i like HTC overall builds.
