Hi Golden20.here is a link to the forum where you can some S7-Slim roms... i would suggest you go with cm9 (ICS 4.0.4.) thats what i am running on.... it seems to be the most stable. but a small warning to save you hours and days of frustration. (talking from personal experience) Go through the forum thoroughly, try read all post from the main members, and even from random blokes. It helps... Make sure you follow the steps to the tee.... and that you get the correct Recovery, Boot, and Rom. Im very happy with Asturel's CM9, brilliant piece of work. It cant play 1080p and its stuck on android 2.2.2,most of the fun apps require 2.3 or later. Freezes for nothing. Huawei should have left android the way it was instead for adding their stupid useless ui which is not easy in any way. Don't waste your money even though the price is tempting, this tablet SUCKS!!!

OK very nice tablet... and cheep... only thing u need to have internet all time like all androids i think. Skype works gr8 video calls perfect... Flash works... I download MX player and i watch all kind of movies to 480p... coz u cant watch 720p etc.. it's having lags... Navigation is working pocket sensor 2... Download task killer and battery saver if u wanna longer life of battery... I have only 1 problem i cant play big games like NFS Batman etc.. it says no phone memory... But tablet is very good ask me what eva u need i will answer it coz i have him more then 1 year :)

Bought one of these used from Cowboom (Best Buy's unloader of all things used) for about $70. At this price it's a bargain. Some things to watch out for: 1. Battery life is limited (also unit appears to shut off at about 50% charge with virtualy no warning). 2.The full fledged Asian version has 3G and a SIM slot - on the US version the SIM slot has been blocked (using black foam - not clear if the SIM connections are present). 3. It is COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE to get any kind os a response from Huawei US support (the Web lists a support email, but it appears to be a BLACK HOLE). 4. Uses Android 2.2.2 - somewhat passe now. 5. Screen is very responsive (not up to Kindle Fire responsive but far superior to resistive). 6. Screen resolution is a bit limited - text, in particular, can get pixelated. I suspect that Huawei is unloading this model (look for Fire Sale prices real soon now) and that there will be no support going forward (just like now, at least in the US - so no real change). At the $300 price point I'd look elsewhere, but under a $100 it's well worth a look.

that happened to me once also.mostly associated with installing 3rd party launchers.solved it by doing a hard boot by pressing the power and volume down button simultaneously during booting.this process does rub all user data and apps installed. you should also consider upgrading your rom to fix most of the software bugs.instructions found here :

Hi there, I've had my tablet for just under three months, I thought it was amazing. I wasn't allowed to take it to school so I left it at home in a closet. Yesterday after school I came home and tried to put it on but it didn't respond to any touch, but the buttons worked. I could lower or raise the volume and press the off button, then the menu pops-up that says: "sound-,airplane mode or power off". Yet again I can do nothing. A week ago a bit of water fell on the screen, but was hastily wiped off. Could that be responsible for the chain of events?

Hi, I found that the problem is with my memory card, once I removed it, its working perfectly fine. Never froze again, never needed to take the battery off. If there is a gadget worth to be avoided it is this thing they call Ideos S7 Slim Tablet/Capsule. I bought mine from Safaricom Kenya hardly a month and it has now developed problems that have even left the importers baffled.Once you switch it on it can not open neither close. It is a high time Huawei took it back to their Labs for further tests otherwise I feel it was served too early before it was ready for the table.It is destined for the dust bin for sure.

Hi, I got this tablet 2 days back only thru mtn in south Africa. So far good for the price point. Storage shows as 3gb on tablet n there is an internal SD card which 5gb. But after few apps download it says u don't have enough space to download this app. When I go to storage it shows 2.5 gb on tablet n 4.5 gb on internal still does not download apps. Can someone help me with a solution. I also added 8 gb external memory card n it froze couple of times when i accessed a picture once n a video the othr time. Any solutions?

Hi I finallygot the tablet for a while now it works fine: but i did have problems... The 1st 1 I opened didn't switch on, so lucky I was at the mtn shop I got another, but after a week I found problems with that model... The calls was krap can't tlk over the head set & It used 2 freeze...so I returned that 1... Got another model it came with updated software & it works fine... Well except for 1 home screen widget which freezes the time on the accu weather. But either that that it has no problems works fine n ya. Good buy in my opinion :D

Its a great device. However, the battery doesnt last very long, but that is probably because I have the the Data switched on all the time. So it downloads and refreshes e-mails and online stuff all the time. So far I had to charge the battery every night. I now am going to switch the Data off (and only put it on when i really need it) to see if there is a difference in batteru life. Some Android apps dont work with the Tab yet, but Im sure that it will change as the popularity of the tab increases. I am currently looking for an app that can create Word, powerpoint and Excel documents. With the standard app you can only view such documents. Works beautifully if you have 3G or HSPA reception. If you only have EDGE, browsing and e-mails are very slow and delayed and you might even get a Timeout message from time to time if the signal isn't strong enough.

and yeah battery is good! 5-6 hours of browsing web over 3G! Normal usage 24-30hours! So plsss dont say its bad! My samsung wave with 3.3 screen and 1500mah gives me 32-42 hours depending of usage...but i use more tablet!

Try uninstalling that application using ADB of course the bedugging mode must have been enabled on the tablet before the problem.If not, its a 'soft brick' and the only thing you can do is send it back to the vendor.Its a design flaw by Huawei.

Had the same problem, fixed it as follows: 1. power off (remove battery) 2. put battery back 3. power on with volume down and hold both 4. wait 1 min 5. release the phone then wipes itself to default. hope it works for you ;)

I just got one, and downloaded 'Go-launcher' which have disabled my touch screen. How do I get it back, cause it's pretty useless now. I'm getting mine in a day or two. From what I've read all over the internet, it has a Snapdragon QSD8250 1GHz Scorpion processor with on-chip Adreno 200. Odd how everyone seems to have different specs for this thing. Even the picture here is of an old prototype of the device.

My husband got one for me as an early mother's day present. It would be great except you can't get into your google account to buy any apps or download anything. The internet works fine (facebook, youtube, etc.), but it won't go to google market- it says it can't find a reliable network connection. I think alot ppl confused with the model. The old model (S7) is resistive & low battery life. Meanwhile S7 slim is capacitive & more decent battery life. There's also the S7 Pro model

hi everyone, i have just bought this S7 slim and it is carried under telstra telecom company which is called T-Touch Tap. this device is rather heavy compare to samsaung galaxy touch. the screen resolution is off. Difficult to carry around and the touch screen is not sensitive as the samsung galaxy. the 7inch screen is good but the graphic is just not upto it. i regret purchasing this device. cheers
