Thanks for the info. I have tried all such things like cleaning port switching cables etc. Took it to an authorised service center and it seems that issue is with port itself. Warranty is still valid but the problem is I bought it from UAE and I am residing in Pakistan. Here it is considered without warranty and they said they wud charge fees for charging port connector plus service charges. Considering options at the moment.

mine did that lack of supercharging thing right before it stopped charging altogether, issue was with the actual USB port, no amount of cleaning or changing chargers fixed it, took it in for a warranty repair, check if your IMEI is still under warranty, mine only expires January 2020.

Need some help. Since last few days my mate 10 Pro is not super charging. Super charging appears initially when connected to charger but disappears after few seconds and phone takes 3 hours for full charge. I hv tried factory reset, clearing cache cleaning charging port but issue still exists. Using original charger and cable and phone is still in warranty. All things appear fine. Suggestions please....

But hey, and the memory left now is like 10GB and it still doesn't lag in anyway. Superb Phone. I wanted to but Mate 30 Pro, but without Google Apps, I'm not sure..........

Had my M10P in the drawer since I purchased my Mate 20 X last November. Just set it up for my sister who had an Express 3. I had forgot but the Mate 10 Pro is a fast and snappy phone still. For her coming from an Express 3 it's like warp speed. She had a smile on all day. A little overwhelmed but she'll get used to all the features the M10P has.

Hi. After update my mate 10 pro to 9.1 i can't answer for sms from notification panel. When i recive sms and read it from notification panel, tap "answer", keys shows, cursor blinking, but text i write didn't show on notification panel and send Arrow stays black.

The mic is starting to cut out randomly - So calling out/receiving a call sometimes results in a "Hello? HELLO?" from the other end before they hang up, whilst you're shouting down the phone lol. Resets by restarting. So it's annoying. But the rest of the phone is aok, and have not experienced any lag whatsoever in the 15 months I've had it. Hoping an update will fix the aforementioned problem, oh and just found out you can contact a help service through the phone which is cool, will try that tomorrow morning.

Device is laggy and not as smooth as before. Best experience was with oreo out of the box. Emui 9 dropped it to 80% and now Emui 9.1 has dropped it to 60%. There are frequent stutters and freezing apps with laginess. Disappointed

It's not downloaded from firmware finder, the working option at firmware finder is the DNS method, firmware finder will give you a DNS for grabbing the Official OTA update directly from Huawei servers, you can search at YouTube for it or at xda-developer website.

Huawei should be worried about its sales if they created a phone this magnificent. My 2nd phone already changed twice in a year. This one I'm keeping it forever. Perfect phone indeed.

Further it is also in line to get android Q later this year if things settle down with Google which seems highly likely as per recent developments

Clearly you don't know a lot about technology, the truth that bluetooth version of any device is a hardware related (bluetooth module), and the truth that you misunderstood the news about Essential PH-1 update, which clearly describes that it added Support for bluetooth 5.0 devices, and that means headphones, printers etc with Bluetooth 5.0. Which have connection problems with Essential phone, so they updated the Essential firmware to recognize these new Bluetooth version protocols, hope you got the point here.

It was great at first and I was using it often but now, I barely even use it. Images looks just brightened up, and not what it used to which took usable photos for me. Before, the photos I take at night or in dark areas would impress my friends, but now, it just doesnt and you can see their unimpressed expressions in their face. Now, it's just really soft, noisy, unnatural, really fake and plasticky looking photos. It has that plasticky look to it even in the beginning but now its just way, way worse. It was really good before but now it is utterly trash. These updates made the Mate 20s, P20s, and P30s look upgradable or viable at least. They made sure that the previous line up, which is the Mate 10s, look worse than their newer line ups. I'm sorry, this phone is the best I've ever used but Huawei is cheating me. So no more Huawei for me in the future. No matter how great the specs and better value it is compared to Samsung and such.

I experienced the same thing. After upgrading to pie the battery life sucked donkey ass. So i downgraded back to 8.0 with hicare. Hicare has to be in a specific version in order for one to use it to downgrade to prevois android versions.

i dont think so that battery degradation is the issue, if that was the thing is should have been bad in the start also as i bought mine in nov 2018, but it was beautiful easy 1 day with a single charge, and soon as the emui 9 came along with android 9 ,and there u go from a full day charge to a 15 hour charge :( might be they are trying to walk in the footsteps on Apple, so that people have to go for their new flagship phones :/

Got May 05 2019 security patch today with an update of 485MB. A bit strange since I have never seen a security patch dated other then 01 of the respective month neither on huawei nor Samsung or any other phone. Also heard emui 9.1 is also coming to mate 10 series. Stay tuned..

I still enjoy good battery with mine but I agree, it did get worse after several updates. Relatively, the device is almost 2 years old already but its crazy if the degradation in battery is this fast. I faced battery life degradation with my previous Xperia but not as bad as this one. My Xperia served me 4 years but its battery degradation was not half bad as this.

This phone has been very good since the first day I picked it up. Had no problem since August 2018, and I still think there isn't one real competitor who can compete with it, as you can't find a relatively "cheap" phone with 4000 mah battery, oled screen, good dual camera, ip67, stereo speakers, 128 gb ecc. However, I'd like to ask some questions. 1) i recently started having some issues with the mic, nothing particularly bad, however it sometimes just didn't work, and I needed to restart the device. It happened like twice in a week so it's not a big deal, but if someone had my problem, please tell me how you dealt with it :) 2) I know this phone was launched in October 2017, and cameras have been improving since then. I'm not saying my phone has a bad camera, but I'd like to know if there is a way to improve the general color gamut, as sometimes it seems it overexposures and oversaturates. Been using the phone for like 6 months already and here are some of my frustrations: 1. The Fingerprint Scanner - At first, it was blazing fast and really reliable. Then it stopped working all of the sudden. I was puzzled about that because I never damaged the phone or the scanner in any way. I went to settings a number of times but the fingerprint section in the settings just wont be clicked. I thought Android Pie would fix it but Huawei completely removed the fingerprint section in the settings in the update. I felt left out as a user and that it felt like Huawei covered their product's imperfection through an update by completely removing the setting for the fingerprint scanner. 2. Camera - Oil painting-like shots in daylight. Night Mode turned into garbage after Android Pie. Unusable selfies too. Video recording is also bad. 3. Battery - Still the best phone I had that has the best battery but I feel like for a 4000mAh, it should do a lot more compared to my xperia z3's 3100mAh and xperia m2's 2000-ish mAh that last almost just as long as this. 4. EMUI - It's ugly as hell. I can't completely give ignore how ugly it is. It's almost unusable for me so I installed an Xperia theme on it. 5. Native apps - Not hating Huawei but their native apps are just straight up garbage. 6. No SD Card and Headphone Jack- I bought this phone knowing it doesnt have both of them, but I still long for them. Dont get me wrong, I really love this phone and I think there still isnt a phone thats worth the upgrade for me from this. The P30 Pro and s10+ are close contender but they arent an upgrade for me. Maybe the next Mate i guess.

That's due to the new battery management UI I think, you can mange all app launch manually for (boot, secondary launch and run on background) from the battery management, that will solve the high consumption of battery.

I dont know what your talking about. I use this phone as a daily driver and I play Mobile Legends a lot. I've never seen it lag or hang on me while playing Mobile Legends except when someone gives me a call.

I Used This Phone For About 2 months now. It had minor issues at first like lagging in high end games like CSR2,And the portrait camera was not good.I was really disappointed at that point but after the pie update CSR2 playes like an absolute dream (maybe because of GPU Turbo) and the portrait camera has gotten a lot better(almost perfect). it looked like huawei has decided to use all of the A.I power after that update and im really happy with it.

Guys, I have a issue with mate 10 pro after pie update. I'ts about security. Now everyone can easely unlock my phone - press blocking button and just swipe up or down. Thats it. Phone doesn't demand any security pass - not PIN code, not fingerprint. Face recognition is not working at all. I tried few times to reset all phone settings, but no changes. Where is a problem? This mourning phone recieved update 9.0.0.206(C432E4R1P11) - but no changes in this departement.

I am facing an issue. During calls if a put the phone on speaker the phone mic seems to stop working and the person on the other end can not hear me, while in normal mode without speakers microphone works fine. I have tested the same scenario on whatsapp and mic seems to work fine during speaker call whereas in default calling app of phone mic fails on speaker call. Could anyone test their phone as per above scenarios and let me know the results? Thanks...

If you want the better screen, Better processor and gpu, micro sd expansion and a headphone jack, go for the s8+ but if you want a better battery life, go for the Mate 10 Pro. I have the Mate 10 Pro and I'd choose it over the S8+ anyday.

Anyone noticed how bad the image quality in Night Mode has become after the Mate 20s were introduced? Yes, Huawei nerfed Night Mode on the previous Mate series to make it look as if image quality improved. It was stunning before and now I dont even use it that much anymore.

Nothing seems wrong with the phone. Its a brand new device brought from UAE. What I hv noticed so far that after factory reset fone gives amazing battery life for a few days and then In batter---Power Consumption Details---Mobile Network Signal a small green bar appears which keeps on increasing as days pass by while battery life keeps on decreasing. Haven't figured out so far the solution but from extensive searching on google it seems that mobile network signal indeed has something to do with battery drain.

You did something wrong, or your Phone have some issue. I updated to Android 9 Pie, and The battery backup is significantly better than before with Android 8. With Android 8 my SOT was around 8 hours, and now with the Android 9 my battery last around 10 hours SOT. I have friends who have Mate 10 Pro or P20 Pro and they say the same thing, better battery with Pie.

Guys after update to pie/emui 9, battery backup & timing has reduced upto a significant extent. before I was getting around 2 days with normal usage. whereas now i get not even one full day. If you're satisfied with Oreo and EMUI 8 then stay with it. Pie and EMUI 9 change camera settings, auto-brightness function and folder view. Though there's an option to downgrade back to Oreo but it'll be doing like a factory reset.

On my Mate 10 Pro I can only run large updates over wi-fi. When the notification about Android 9 came up I called Huawei and was told that was how they do things in case I use too much data, so I went to a nearby café and did the update in about 20 minutes using their wi-fi. Only cost me about £2.50 for the coffee.

Just a reminder for those freaking out that huawei has a hisuite desktop program which can pull available ota updates directly from server (depending on your phones region code this will differ on ota) and apply it if its available. My old international mate 10 regular was missing updates and this pulled all of them for me depending on the updates available for the region the phone was for. Their default "app" for getting ota updates is notoriously buggy.

ho ho ho i give you the way to update your phones to android pie, go to hicare, after you set it up look for the update icon in the middle tab, middle of the screen (quick servies) i think, once you click it it will say your update will come withing 30 mins, phone will switch to the updater in the setting and you will see the update, be wary it is 3.9gb

Just bought the phone, got a good deal on Amazon in Germany. Coming from a Xiaomi mi5S plus, I must say I'm not impressed. So far battery life seems a bit worse, I'm using two sim cards, 4g only active on one. I rarely play games, but the performance is a bit worse than the Adreno 530, using higher image quality settings. So is EMUI, it just feels slower to react. Xiaomi is far from perfect, but at least their prices are better matched. I can't really see how people were paying 7-800 euros or whatever when this thing was released. If anyone is thinking about moving from a Snapdragon 820/821 to this, don't.

Go for the Mate 10 Pro. I own one right now and its nothing short of a spectular device. Build, size, connectivity, camera(except the front facing), performance and especially the battery life is amazing. It fills almost everything that you'll miss in P20 Pro and a S8+ though you would be missing the MicroSD card.

Just bought my second mate 10 pro after I smashed the screen on the other. I did a lot of looking around at rival phones but then when I found one for £449 on amazon I decided to go for it. I wanted a phone with seamless docking to a monitor keyboard and mouse, a large battery life, AMOLED screen and plenty of RAM. It's also got the water resistance rating and a processor which is fast enough for a few years and performs tasks really well. I couldn't find a phone that matched specs and value, especially given the camera the mate 10 pro has. Ok the P20 Pro has a better camera but a smaller battery, is it worth another £190? I don't think so, especially since the chipset is going to be dated fairly soon. All in all for £449, a phone with USB 3.1, water resistant, amazing camera and, great functionality is unbeatable. I was toying with the the honor 10, but the camera is sub par compared to the mate 10 pro. Leica put it another level up. Oneplus's don't have the USB hardware, if they did I probably would have gone for a Oneplus 6, but even then retail for the same price. The mate 10 pro camera is better and battery life as well. No front screen figner print scanner, on it, but still I can live with that. I love the huawei gestures and I'm used to it, so until something else comes along that's significantly better for the price, I'll stick with it. I think because the camera is so good, I can't see it's price dropping too much any time soon as then it's competing against cameras which are significantly worse. Good lenses and sensors cost money and don't move on as quick as processors and other tech

For cam both are equally decent. But as per your other conditions i will recommend Mate 10 pro only. Because it has great battery, durability and faster updates reception. S8 plus is also great but it has lesser battery backup and it is fragile bearing edge display. Mate 10 pro will get Android Q but S8 won't. So for a long term use go for Mate 10 pro.

My SOT would be 6 -10 hrs depending on usage. Standby drain is constantly 1-5%. Last night, I slept with 16% left and I got 12% when I woke up this morning so thats a 4% decrease which is not great for me considering my previous Xperias drain just 1-2% at standby. Btw, I dont use the GPS, location and bluetooth that much.

So far here are my experiences with the Mate 10 Pro and lets start with the Pros: *Great battery life and charging speed *Snappy and very good for everyday use *Great build quality and in hand feel *Spacious 6+128GB storage *Great for multimedia purposes *Most feature-packed phone I ever owned *Great signal reception *Display is good enough. CONS: *Software - EMUI is very buggy. Although this phone is the best one I ever purchased, its also is the one with the most software issues I have(I used some Sony handsets and software was never a headache with those). Sometimes, the display turns black all of the sudden and freezes for a minute especially after using or when you try to open Facebook. The settings menu doesn't display the Fingerprint option anymore and now my fps is NOT working. Ugly EMUI :/ Sometimes it doesn't display notifications. And I had to restart the device sometimes due to some software issues. *Camera- Don't get me wrong, it takes incredible photos. Auto Mode is disappointing, Manual mode is really fun and handy and Night Mode is a hit or miss but mostly hit. I recently restarted the device due to the camera software not displaying the other modes such as Night mode. Like who can explain that to me? Video is hit and miss too. If you want a point and shoot camera, look elsewhere. *It overheats in certain occasions. I love the phone so much but with that unrealible software, it makes me really miss my Xperias which doesn't get much software bugs (though my Xperias doesn't have good cameras). Have got my Mate 10 Pro at 17/06 and it have lots of issues.. wi-fi always caching and need to reset network options to make it work again , battery drain issues.. need to charge phone every day even if location or wi-fi turned off, screen freeze randomly while using similar apps. BTW looks like Huawei not really care about client satisfaction, issue with wi-fi was reported to them just after phone was released but it still exists. Willing to get back money I paid for it and change to something working well. I do not recommend this device.

Had my Mate 10 Pro for a month now and I've had a bit of a go with its cameras. Some of its pictures look oversharpend especially in b/w mode, for example when photographing trees and plants. Best solution I've found is to take b/w photos at 8mp and with the camera turned toward any available sunlight. What could help here would be separate adjustment toggles for each individual camera. I thought I'd share this as it could probably apply to any other similar Huawei phone cameras.

Does anyone face an issue with the camera? My mate 10 pro clicks over-saturated or reddish photos after noon times especially in portrait mode. I think it is because of the so called AI feature which cannot be disabled in camera app. No difference beauty mode on or off. Photos become unusable sometimes. Do someone have a solution? I didn't face any till date. And as far as i knew through reviews there are no known common issues. I hope you don't care negligible criticism like galss back is worthless without wireless charging or it is finger print magnet etc. The Type C to 3.5mm converter works seamless.

I was and I just received an update this week. It's named as BLA-L29 9.0.0.128. Is it Android Pie or not? I can't distinguish because my current version is BLA-L29 8.0.0.144 and I don't really know if BLA-L29 9.0.0.128 is Android Pie. The changelog doesn't say its Android Pie either. It only says it brings Party mode app and I'm not updating just because of that. Please someone tell me if its Android Pie.

Yeah, emui 8.1 & above doesnt load system ui features in the themes, emui 5 & 8.0 works perfectly. But i heard it can be fixed using Substratum, search it on XDA.

Overall the camera is good especially in the morning daylight but in the afternoon and night, not so much. Idk but the processing is kinda different in those times. Colors are on the natural side but it doesn't always get the correct representation of the scene. Camera app is full of features and manual is also packed with different settings and such but I dont know how to use them so its kinda wasted on me. Overall, I love the camera and you can really get great shots with it. I just dont know how to use the Pro mode on it which makes better photos than the auto. Auto mode is not really great. Camera would be Galaxy s8 or s9 level.

My previous phone was the Z3 and I loved the device but it broke for no reason so I bought the Mate 10 Pro. If you are interested, buy the Mate 10 Pro. it fast and very reliable just like the Z3. I have found nothing to hate about the phone except the lack of the microsd and headphone jack which is present on the Z3. I really miss these features a lot. About the design and size, both are equally beautiful in front and back.(Idk but I buy phones which has impressive back designs and both are have great back designs) and size, mate 10 pro is significantly larger. About Performance, as I said, both excel in this department(yes, z3 is still fast in 2018). Camera is no competition, the pro crushes the z3's unusable cameras and will be the biggest reason for you to buy the Pro. Battery life: because the Pro is a newer phone and has the higher capacity, the Pro definitely is better and the charging time is really fast on the Pro. About the UI, if you buy the Pro, you will really miss Sony's clean near to stock android experience. I mean the EMUI is impressive but it's really ugly. And although its really ugly, it will hand you A LOT of features. Gosh, theres so many features that EMUI has and most of them are really useful and that somehow will compensate for its ugliness. Just use the z3 as a backup phone especially for music as music quality is not as great as the Z3's. I suggest waiting for newer phones next year though since midrangers are really good enough. I hope you find it useful.

I got my Mate 10 Pro just two days ago. Right out of the box the first thing I noticed was its fast charging, from 48% to 100% in about half an hour, which makes it about five times faster to charge than the LG G4 it has replaced. It looks and feels premium, and I hadn't any noticeable problems in setting it up. Browsing is noticeably quicker than the G4 and the Mate 10 held up well even in the local signal blackspots where I live. Music playback is also tremendous and the supplied headphones are of really good quality. They won't be staying in the box. The home buttons are unobtrusive on the 6" screen and the slider function, which was a prime feature of my G4, are easy to use. I am still working around the camera but the first photos I took are vivid and detailed, at 12mp. I have noticed that the zoom function isn't available at 20mp but I can always enlarge any of those panoramic landscape pictures I like taking, and I haven't yet completely mastered the camera modes, so I am expecting continued great results. It isn't breaking the bank either, thanks to the deal I got from my phone provider I am paying just under £300 for my Mate 10, on top of a generous data package, which is also quite impressive. My G4 had a lot going for it, in terms of display, sound quality and camera but the Mate 10 is in another ballpark. The fast charging, build quality and camera experience are superb. Buying it feels like one of the better decisions I've made recently, beyond question.

Had Mate 10 Pro, went on op hype train with 6 and returned to Mate. Appreciate superior battery life and cameras over performance in games I don't play. Screens are basically the same,op has maybe punchy colors but BOE display on mate is bit sharper. Mate is a stereo too which comes in handy...op6 has a headphone jack. Charging speeds are similar.

I love my mate 10 pro. Just got one through amazon and love the excellent battery life. Even when checking what messages I have and some light activities, the battery still stays around the upper 90s. It's nice to know it's water resistant even though I've never let my phone near any water. Have to get used to a phone not having a removable sd card slot. Loving the BT 5.0 range too

Yeah, I suppose that would be ideal for most of us. In actuality, it's because of the weight increase and the internal design that usually does not allow for gigantic batteries in a lot of flagships. Not to mention, you can't have a phone too thick otherwise it does not appeal to the main market. But, now Huawei is stepping it up with 5000 in their 20 Pro. Expect others to follow

My thoughts on this are the battery endurance. In real life, it's because of the size, the extraneural AI, and a few other miscellaneous things that make the phone with slightly less battery life, but significantly better cameras, features, and look in general. Better performance. If you wanna wait, I'd say wait. But know that there is more to a phone than its battery life

Hello, phone fans, i have one for your thoughts: I am a Mate 8 owner and using it every day since 2.5 years ago. Phone still runs without a problem, fast, on Android 7.0, EMUI 5.0.2 How is it that Mate 10 /pro using 2 generation newer SoC (Kirin 970 compared to 950) it has a lower battery life according to GSMArena's test (Mate8 - 103 hours, Mate 10pro - 96 hours) . Manufacturers always advertise 20-30-40 % better performance and better battery life from generation to generation of SoC's. Other big differences between these two phones are not notable, same battery size, even more mate 10's display should use less battery cause actually is smaller in area (only diagonal is similar) and also is amoled. It's just that i don't like to be scammed by fancy advertising. I don't see big performance differences between these two, that's what i am saying, not a big leap, and why can't we get better battery life? To buy phones more often probably but that's just not fair! What's your thoughts on this?

IMHO this phone is piece of garbage, camera at first place, display ratio next,...only marketing. EMUI is useless and in compare to other brands drives me pretty crazy. My advice = Go for other brands if you hesitate !

Samsung s7 have full AOD, both have Amoled but Samsung have native AOD, Huawei have from software, function are hide inside lock screen, password and security, Samsung are function settings display. I have both phones, but now I keep Mate for big display and battery, is amazing.

When you receive a photo sent from an Iphone X you are unable to forward it the usual way by long press on photo and selecting forward, your outbox says this message "Maximum length reached" and it cannot be sent. The only way you can send a picture received form an IPhone X is to save to gallery and the select from gallery.

Gosh, why are you shortlisting those two? They're so different. Maybe get the one that is more comfortable to use, OS wise. If you go for an Apple, could you stretch to a 7, or 8? Remember bendgate? Apple pretty much used pressed foil-wrap for the 6/6s - It's taken 3 years but by the 8 they've kind of got the design and build right. But you posted in the comments for the Mate 10 Pro - Is that a model you were considering too? It won't be replaced until around this November and even then the Kirin 970 will be a chipset in current models for around a year to come, has come down in price by nearly half, great build, has a brilliant camera, fast optimised chipset (slower than the SD845 but wins half or more of speed tests on day-to-day stuff....).

You won't regret either purchase - Get the S9 if budget isn't your primary concern. Just check if the S9 has a consistent bokeh/portrait mode (the S9 is single camera so don't use S9+ reviews) - You'll find portrait mode great fun and makes a material difference to your shots.

Got it as it's a current model, has flagship specs, lovely camera, at a upper mid-range price here in the UK (c£400). It's pretty much identical to the Google Pixel 2XL, but at around half the price (you're missing a 2k screen, but on the + side it has 6gb vs 4gb ram, and Kirin 970 is on level with the SD835). Camera is similar to GP2XL too, the latter's images are just a tiny bit more consistently good, but the Huawei's x2 digital zoom is surprisingly effective, near enough lossless as you can get with the technology. As of yesterday an OTA update updated the security patch, plus brought the impressive n incredible 4 second handheld night mode from the P20 / P20 Pro, and lightning fast face recognition.

As I own both of these phones both have their strong and weak points. Xz2 uses the latest Snapdragon 845 while the Mate 10 Pro uses a last generation Kirin 970. Real world usage wise, you won't be able to tell the difference. Probably a tad slower in the pro. Xz2 has the option to expand the storage while the Pro doesn't. Can be a deal breaker for some but is fine for me Cameras for the Pro is better in my opinion pictures aren't as detailed when take by Xz2. Xz2 has the better multimedia apps. Music sounds way better in the Xz2 than the pro. Xz2 has better speaker setup with dual front firing speakers and sound more crisp than the pro speakers. Battery is where the Pro shines over the Xz2. It last a lot longer than the Xz2 and charges faster because of Huawei Supercharge technology. Despite its much smaller battery capacity it can certainly last a day with a single charge with moderate to heavy usage because of Sony excellent battery optimization software. Sony releases updates regularly for their phones. I owned the Xz2 slightly over a month but I already received 4 system updates while I owned the pro for 5 months but received 3 updates. Having said all of that, it boils down to preference. I would chose the Pro because it performs almost as good as the Xz2 but has a better battery life which I need because I m a heavy user

As a Mate 10 Pro user, i likely suggesting the newer XZ2. Reasons: - More performance both on CPU and GPU. - Eventhough just 64gb internal memory, but got expandable storage. - Camera are better (especially video recording) - Better media apps (music, video player, album) - Faster on updates and near stock Android experience Design & fps placement is better on Mate 10 pro though, period. If u could live with it, XZ2 a better choice.

The Mate Pro suffers from old firmware issues, it still runs on 8.0, this creates issues with current apps and integration with the new iphone x. My current phone issues include not being able to forward pictures taken with an Iphone X, new voice mail delivery can't be opened, loss of phone voice dial, apps freeze and Google assistant not operating correctly. Product support know the issues but are in no rush to fix and provide the latest firmware.

Huawei has always been my favourite phone for the last Four years(mate7, 8, 9 p8, 9, 10), but now sadly they have slipped. Why o why make phones with No Micro SD Card Slot and No Headphone Socket, if you wanna take on the likes of Samsung then take a leaf out of their book. I have had the New Samsung S9 plus for the last Two months and I can say this Samsung S9+ phone has Everything that's right Everything, huge Internal Memory, Micro SD Card Slot, Headphone Socket, Stereo Speakers and if you Tinkle with the settings you can get a Full days Usage without running for the charger. At this present moment I don't think I would go back to a Huawei phone unless you correct this issue and bring back the Micro SD Card Slot and The Headphone Socket.

I think you should let the price decide. i have a mate 10 pro and like it a lot. main selling points are camera and of course battery. the op6 has newer chipset which has higher performance especially games (mate 10 pro quickly overheats). i think for gaming take op6, for battery take mate 10 pro. personally i would let the price decide in my country the mate 10 pro is 470€ and the op6 (8gb/128rom) 570€. i would take the mate again today, cause i dont play games. (it is really bad for playing high end games it overheats after 10min then the game has framedrops all the time)

Forget to tell that when switch to 20mp color mode, no improvement in details from 12mp. It just upsample the resolution to 20mp. Better stick with 12mp. Monochrome stick with 20mp for more details but noise not visible as color sensor, hence they put it as 20mp.

The monochrome sensor was just not for black and white color lol....in certain situation (especially low light scene), both rgb+monochrome fused to create one single picture with improved contrast, details and preserve lights (monochrome catch 3x more light than rgb). About using 12mp, i think they want the pictures looks more clean with lesser noise than higher megapixel (more details but more noise). Most DSLR nowadays still using 12mp lol.

About the camera, is the 20 MP B/W a hardware limitation or just software? IMO they should have switched the 20 MP camera to the color and the 12 for B/W. Not many people will use the B/W or as frequent as the colored 12 MP.

I've bought this phone since Dec 2017 I can only say the battery life is definitely good. I played some mobile games(Pokemon Go and Brave Frontier) normally 2 to 3 hours and still able to last without charging till the next day. I would charge my phone max 95% so when I played those 2 games for around 2 to 3 hours, I'll still have around 58%(highest record of battery drain), 65%(lowest record of battery drained). Once I off WIFI and let it go to sleep/display off, the next day I would still have at least 50% of battery life which can last the whole day if I don't game with it or use for gaming for around 1hour. Only bad is that the WIFI connection doesn't seem to be stable.

After 2 weeks I have to say that overall the Mate 10 Pro it's a solid performer. My only concern, as already stated, is the camera. I found that my Nexus 5x produced better results with higher level of details. Do you think that is due to the bigger sensor size of Nexus and Pixel dimensions? (1/2.3 + 1,55um on Nexus 5x) - Camera is an important factor for me and I cannot believe what I saw after all the good reviews on-line praising Mate 10 Pro camera.Of course you can edit Raws to have better results - but the jpg are most of the time like paintings without details and even the bw monochrome does not produce better results. Do you think that the camera will be improved somehow? I am really disappointed by such poor quality in images. As a second choice I could jump on a Samsung S8/9, OP6 or even a P20. Do you think I will have better results with the cameras in these phones? I know P20 is mounting a 1/2.3 sensor, while I do not really know about OP6 pictures quality. Samsung seems pretty good. Iphone has excellent image process far the best by any other OS. When you looking at pictures from your gallery they look pretty sharp and colorful. At least in some of my devices from Iphone 5, Iphone 7, and Iphone X.

No website is calling them out after reporting fast android updates at the press conferance. GSMarena how about doing an article about it. Im on 8.0.0 137 c432 and when I go to check updates, it always says no updates available, so i decided to contact Huawei Support for that. And what a surprise they have NO IDEA about it. So i did a research of mine and found out that my phone was unlocked from some Hungarian network and that they receive updates LAST ONES. Anybody with same issue? Because some of mine friends that are using P10 and Mate 9, already got update for Face Unlock.

Samsung S9 Plus of course It will have better picture quality because of Super AMOLED display. But only ON PHONE. When you checking pictures on your laptop, desktop pc, tablet, It isnt that great. I personally dont like Samsung camera because its not natural. Most natural pics are produced by Iphone, Huawei and Sony.

Ya fked. This is usb-c problem, pixel 2 also has this problem. The thing is that usb-c connection is low quality (on all phones), and there is no fixation, meaning the connection get loose very fast, and it becomes very hard to get the contact between the cable and the phone. Try putting the cable not all the way in, but more like 90%-80% in and see if headphones will connect. I was thinking about this phone, but then huawei decided to lock bootloaders, and at the same time i discovered all this usb-c crap, so i most likely will not buy this phone.

For now I don't have any issues with WhatsApp application. Message notifications are on spot, calls are pretty good quality still. But after all I use Viber a lot more because all my friends use that app instead :D

Hi, You can use the f.scanner for navigation, but that feature is limited to; Take photo or video, turn off alarm, answer call, browse photos in gallery in full screen mode, scroll down notification panel. Data transfer via USB 3 to Mate 10 pro type-c is perform nearly USB 3 transfer speed. From my old phone's SD card, about 25 GB data, photos and music, so plenty of small size file was transferred to the Mate 10 pro in aprx. 5 mins. I hope this help.

No problem mate :D . I am using mate 10 pro since March and I am pretty satisfied. But you should consider that some time in near future P20 Pro and Mate 10 Pro will be very similar (IF NOT THE SAME) price. Phone with same processor, RAM, ROM, only newer camera generation, and I had a opportunity to hold P20 Pro and there are only MINOR differences in camera aspect. Three camera variant is only fashionable look, I like how my Mate 10 Pro takes photos which is pretty high level. Only thing that I kinda hate about Huawei is their slow UPDATES.

Actually you cant do anything, its up to Huawei to provide fix in their next update for Mate 9. While I had that device i was getting around 5/6 hours of SOT. Thats what happened with my Mate 10 Pro after March security update I think, I got mixed SOT , one day is about 6 hours or more, and next day I could barely get 3 or 4 hours.

I had a lot of time to clarify mine: 1)No notch or button on front of the phone, screen to body ratio as big as possible 2)Resistance to water/dust, it is good feeling to know that your phone is safe 3)Two sim card slots, personally I can now use one phone instead of two, which i used for several years and now its so great to get rid of the second. 4) Battery life, thats why I was looking at RN5 My final decision was made because of processors AI. Actually I was about to get RedmiNote5, specs are ok, also Im not a heavy camera user, but it was delayed to launch for too long, I was waiting since last December, and has no IP cert. So after Xiaomi I was about to choose between Mate10pro and OnePlus. Battery life, IP certification and processor made my decision. After using mate10pro for a month I can say its almost a perfect phone, I'd say its perfect but it depends on necessary things for everyone of us. I came from Mid range samsungs stage and Camera for me is something superior here. My GF have s9plus so I can't see big difference on cameras. Samsung for me has more non realistic colors, a bit fake tones. But 960p slow-motion on sams is something new and what I was missing on 2017s huawei flags. Any way, I love this camera and having great new experience with photography, its making me heavier and heavier user everyday. Processor and battery is wonderful. At the beginning phone was a bit laggy, especially keyboard. During very first days I was looking for new keyboard because I couldn't stand longer with it, but you know what? Then 970 Kirins AI made a hit at its best, after two weeks keyboard became quick and smooth af. After a month of usage battery addapted to my processes. I can feel around 1/4 better SOT, for example I charged my phone on Fridays evening, and today - Monday morning I have left 25%. Ofcouse I was not using it much, I made several photos and a video of my cat:) , some facebook sot, but still its surprisingly A LOT. Meanwhile, S9plus had to recharge on Sundays morning (same SOT). I constanty making comparisons between s9plus and mine matepro, so I can answer any differences between those two if you need to make a decision. Cheers

What is happen with your phone? Seems like it messed up the notification settings, u should get it by default. Mine got zero problem, all notification works normally. Go to settings>apps&notification>choose your desired apps to turn on. Did u buy new phone or second hand?

Definitely a problem with your device as mine has been working flawlessly for 4 months. Maybe try a factory reset then when you start the phone use the built in software to quickly transfer everything from your old phone.

Nope not a problem in my Mate 10 pro, battery life is the advantage of this phone compare to others. For the 1st week i own it, yes just average battery life, but it becomes better endurance by day usage using their AI learn system. Now i easily got 7-8 hour sot. Of all smartphone u mentioned, mate 10 pro camera gives the best low light photos. Daylight almost the same.

Between the two, Mate 10 Pro is better. SoC is essentially the same as in the OP5T but as pointed out by someone else, it has AI and NPU features which they claim help capture better images. Also, the Mate 10 Pro is water & dust resistant. But I suggest you wait it out just a little bit. OnePlus 6 will be out soon with a more powerful SoC and possibly water & dust resistance. If a notched phone doesn't bother you, it could be better than the Mate 10 Pro for the same, or even lower, price.

I went from Iphone 7 to Mate 10 PRO. After couple of days in use, I absolutely love it. Yesterday I got around 4:40 SOT with 51 percent of battery left with heavily usage of phone (chrome browsing, camera, Instagram, Messenger, Viber, phone calls). EMUI is not a strange OS to me as before I had p10 plus,p10, mate 9, p9 plus, p9, and so on. Its very similar to IOS with menu bar, navigation bar, settings bar etc. Sound speaker is located at good place, no headphone jack is not a big thing for me because I dont listen music through my mobile phone. Fingerprint reader is extremely fast, photos are superb all reasons to buy this phone.

I've seen people say that EMUI is annoying to use, and that it's not very intuitive, compared to other phones. Audio through headphones is obviously important, which is why I'm considering the V30 for the quad DAC, along with battery life; standby time especially, since I'm a light user. I don't game or take mess around with camera settings, other than the occasional point-and-shoot photo. I'd appreciate your input.

I love the battery life of the Mate 10 pro. I can go more than a day without charging. Just to give everyone an idea, I am usually on the field and my work requires me to be connected to the internet 24/7 so my mobile data is always on. With intensive use like calling, using messenger apps, emails and taking pictures I can still go home and have around 30-40% battery. On my previous device, around 1pm I already need to charge using my power bank. With this device, I hardly use my power bank at all. It works really fast but my only problem is it heats up after almost an hour of browsing using mobile data but it doesn't really affect the speed. I just don't like the feeling of holding a hot phone. I also love the camera. I like to take photos of places and sometimes people. I love the bokeh effect of the camera. I can say that I've been abusing the bokeh feature a lot. even it it is just to take pictures of receipts. LOL! I really like the device all in all. it's worth every penny. I also love that they placed the finger print scanner at the back because I came from LG G5 and having the finger print scanner at the back makes the transition easier for me. I do hope they add the knock to open feature like the ones on the LG phones. Sometimes I still try to knock on the screen to open and close it. Hard to take it out of my system because I came from G4 and G5. I also love the navigation dock. I'm no longer using the navigation bar and already hid the navigation bar because of the navigation dock. It's easy to learn, convenient and allows you to maximize your screen more. There are a lot of cool features that I like about this phone but I guess you can all see them on youtube. Summary: Great battery life, Great Camera, Very Fast, Navigation Dock is awesome, finger print scanner is in the perfect spot, and sometimes heats up with intensive use.

Have to agree with the previous positive posts....the Mate 10 Pro is an incredible device. Was a little hesitant to pull the trigger initially due to youtube tech reviewers all complaining about the downfalls of EMUI. Now, I have experienced stock android in the past with a more basic user interface and it is clean but it left me longing for more standard (and useful) features. So it was time for a change, and although I was prepared(I think) to deal with a notch due to the overwhelming number of manufacturers releasing devices with the notch, although I really did not want to take the plunge(sound familiar?). Needless to say, I took the gamble on the Huawei and boy am I glad that I did. The Mate 10 Pro is fast, packed full of useful features/settings, has a damn impressive camera, excellent/fast fingerprint scanner, stunning display and a beautiful body. This thing makes heads turn and rightfully so, I don't believe another smartphone in today's market can compare to the look of the Mate 10 Pro. Perhaps the most impressive thing about this phone is the battery life. Granted, I am not a power user and probably don't exceed more than 2 hrs of screen on time per day but I have never owned a device that I considered to have great battery life. Trying to get through a day on a full charge with other flagship devices was to say the least, challenging...on rare occasions with one previous device, I may have made it until noon the following day. Simply to put this into perspective....as I type this review, it is around 8:30pm on a Thursday night and I have about 35% battery left. My last charge was Tuesday at around 4pm and the battery was on 93% when I pulled the plug. I won't even have to consider putting the phone back on the charger until tomorrow afternoon. 3 FULL DAYS PEOPLE! I realize this is not typical for most people but I have been extremely impressed with the battery life. A few thoughts about the camera. I have friends/co-workers with the latest devices from Samsung, Apple, LG, Sony...etc. Compared side by side to these other devices for standard pick up and shoot without playing with camera settings for 10 minutes or making adjustments in pro mode, the Mate 10 Pro shines. I would have been hard pressed to choose a "better" photo from one of these other devices in identical settings. Colors are natural and images are crisp with superb detail. Not enough character space to discuss how fantastic the monochrome feature is...you get the point. Everything about the Mate 10 Pro makes sense and comes together to create an excellent user experience. If you follow reviews like I do, you will certainly encounter similar negative opinions, but quite frankly, the none of the perceived negatives about the Mate 10 Pro bother me. For example as this is a popular one: Glass back with no wireless charging - why? Why would any manufacturer do that? Why you ask? So the phone looks fricken amazing, that's why. Until wireless charging evolves into wireless quick charging with charging bases being free with purchase of the phone as a standard practice, I will gladly take fast charging with a cable any day of the week. In summary, this is a high end device loaded with great features and very few flaws if any. I would not hesitate to recommend this phone to anyone.

Hi guys, I have been doing my research about mate 10 pro since last week or so. I am currently using a Moto G4 plus phone which you all know was an entry level phone. Honestly speaking, it was a very good experience and there is no need to change the phone other than it has only got 16 GB internal memory. I was almost sold on mate 10 pro and was going to order it online but someone on gsmarena advised to go and physically see the phone. Anyway today I managed to see the mate 10 pro in reality at a phone shop. My apologies to all the mate 10 pro fans in advance. The screen and overall brightness was awful. I put the brightness to full but it was still not as bright as I would like it to be. I was only comparing it with my moto G4 plus. It was very fast and camera quality was very sharp but the screen and display was dull. I am shocked. I was looking forward to have mate 10 pro. This is my personal experience and I would like to mention that I am sad not to like this phone cos I was soooo much looking forward to buy it. Now I am back to square one. My next option will be lg v30. Please recommend any other phone if you know which is in the same league as mate 10 pro. Thanks

Great looking phone, good speeds on all aspects, internet, bluetooth etc etc. Loving the longer lasting battery. But other parts of this phone are bad, i.e power button very sensitive and too close to volume buttons. No radio or jack. AI system can get annoying esp when texting, where I text in slang the phone will not recognise this and puts in words it thinks should go there, they don't. Watching films using video player, after 10 mins it asks me if I want to use same video player or photos, very very annoying esp as film starts again.

Just bought this phone. 48%battery lasted a heavy setup and SOT of 3h. After full charge 6.5 and 7 SOT ON FULL BRIGHTNESS. BEEEAAAST. AND HEAVY USAGE(GAMES MOSTLY). Unplugged the device saturday morning at 9am. At 11:30 pm I had 60% with 3h SOT (needles to say full brighness) from which 1h was gaming and 20 minutes photos. AMAZING. Really fast charging,a SPLENDID camera, everything runs smooth, GREAT audio,verry good display, water rezistent. Did I mention the great design? I am fully sastisfied. Highly recomend

Great phone but Huawei are still lacking updates for this phone. Even though they promised faster updates. Still on January security patch. Updates are like a lottery with some people receiving(March Update) and others not. Support are not helpful, basically saying for update and dont update manually or you void your warranty. Hi everyone, So I've narrowed my choices for my next phone between the LG V30+ and the Mate 10 Pro. Obviously, with the 4,000 mAh battery, I'm assuming battery life and standby time on the Mate 10 Pro is a non-issue, as is the screen legibility in direct sunlight. My other two concerns are the sound through the dongle with a pair of quality, high impedance earbuds ( I'm considering the V30+ for the quad DAC) and the software. I've seen a lot of people say EMUI is bad due to its supposed "redundancy". My father has a Mate 9, so I have very little experience with EMUI, other than setting the phone up for him. Visually, it's an obvious copy of iOS, which I actually don't mind. In fact, I prefer the EMUI/ iOS folder icons, that allow you to view nine apps per folder. To me, it's a much cleaner look. But aside from that, what are the things you like and dislike about EMUI? Are your dislikes just little annoyances or deal breakers? How do you get around it? I'm coming from a Nexus 6P, so I tried but I'm quite bored with stock, so I'm looking for a more feature-packed replacement again. I'd put the S9+ on my list of options, but Samsung's battery life apparently continues to suck, so that's a no go. What are your opinions? Should I go for the Mate 10 Pro, or the LG V30+? Feedback is appreciated.

despite that the phone doesnt have a 3.5mm headphone jack it has an adapter from type-c to 3.5 mm audio jack which is very helpful . i happen to break the original earbuds that come with it and i use some cheap earbuds with it now and the sound is just fantastic i plugged these same earpohones in other phones and they sounded terrible . the audio optimization is just top notch 10/10 recommended i love every feature in this phone

Not true,those were only two xperias with heating snapdragon 810,but with sd 810 all androids had the same issues,not with my 5 years old z1 and 3 years old z3.Mate 10 is excellent,more fluid than Samsung,but still not fluid like Sony or Gtc or Pixel,specially in long terms of usage.

Don't know what previous comment mean by lagging? I upgraded from Mate 7 to Mate 10 Pro. The most obvious thing is the performance. You can't ask for more. The response is how fast you can touch. Camera is just excellent and again the response is immediate. The only thing I can question is both Mate 7/9 claimed 6", Mate 10 Pro is 6" also. But visibly and looking at the specs you can tell Mate 7/8/9/10's screens are larger than 10 Pro, even the viewable area. Maybe it's the way of calculation?

I used to have Samsung, S7 was ok. S8 was horrible. Battery life was bad, and I use it for work. It is not equipped to handle business, and within 2 months the damned thing started slowing down on me. The S7 I sold my friend is still working better than the s8, go figure! So after 4 years of not owning a Huawei, I get this mate 10 pro, and I have never been happier. It's perfect for business and the battery is amazing. Samsung learn from this, sleek looks mean nothing if the phone is barely usable for 4+ hours. Huawei doesn't slow down, it reminds me of the Navy seal that never quits or slows down. This is the best phone I've ever owned. I hate wires, I have Bluetooth headphones and it's called pro, for professional people. Wires look tacky, you complaining about this means you don't get it. That's why you get the normal mate 10, wires mean you don't care about how you look. Wireless charging is slow and honestly when the phone lasts all day, why do you need a wireless charger? That's only convenience for phones that need multiple charges throughout the day. Micro SD card? It's got 128 gbs. Learn to organize stuff and move it to your computer or the cloud. I never touching Samsung again. Good riddance.

After i purchased this phone i can say goodbye Samsung .. i never used a phone with a battery like Mate 10 pro...i can easily use formore than 24 hours with at least 7 Hours screen on. The phone speed still the same like the day of unboxing it. In Note after 1 month of usage the phone become slower...this is never happened till now wit Mate 10 pro after 2 months. I'm not a Huawei fan and this is my 1st phone from this brand..but i really can see the difference since i was a heavy Note user. I read many reveiws about spy...the reveiws really make me laughing since Samsung & iPhone actually do the same..user privacy issue exist in both of Samsung & iPhone.. all what you need is not to give permissions for unknown appor junk system app that want to collect your personal info.. If we are here to reveiw phone functionality..so..this Mate 10 pro one of the best phones in the market. But it still have some down sides..for example there is a bug that kills automatic call recording if the phone in the sleep mode..but i think that next update will handle these issues.

I was fed up with my Samsung s8, battery life being dumb, and it just wasn't cutting it. As a business person the s8 really doesn't work. One of the blunder I did ever was purchasing mate 10 pro.. All the hype and specs are just good in paper.. I bought this phone last December from Dubai and even at the very moment as I speak the phone is in huawei service centre.. this is the 2nd time the phone is broke and for the same reason.. 1st time it was the speaker and network issue.for which they have replaced the speakers and replaced some software according to the customer service rep and now again after 1 week it again got the network issues.. and this time they are going to change the motherboard.. so from my experience I wouldn't recommend this phone..

I've had this phone for two months now. Can't complain. The only thing difficult to get used to is the lack of the 3.5 mm jack. I am really curious if/how the constant plug-in-plug out of the headphones is going to affect the USB-c port in the long run. And, since the phone does not have Wireless charging, if the port gets damaged after the warranty expires, you either replace it or upgrade to a new phone. The battery is awesome. The 58% do charge in 30 minutes, hopefully will work like this for a long time. General experience is great and I find the EMUI really helpful in certain scenarios.

everyone is soo happy about their phone. i have a huawei mate 10 pro, and i kinda think it might be the worse one on the planet.(because i never heard this from other devices) it is full of bugs, sometimes it does stuff on its own for 1 minute or longer, it has lag in some animation, doesn,t detect touches, slides sometimes. and i heard that this one isn,t just for me- when always on display is activated and phone stays a few minutes most of the time it doesn t open either with fingerprint wither with the power button. if someoane doesn.t have that on can you try it? it is in security settings the last thing i think.

ok. so. this phone is the bomb. the batteri lasts 6 to 7 or more hours of screen on time. 12 hours on stand by it eats about 3% of the battery. it is great. the headphone jack isn t as good as the lg v30 but it is still very good. and the screen is great in any condition, "infinite" viewing angles :)) totally recommend it

Using for 1 week, I can say this is the best phone for 6 inch flagship. The battery is a beast ! The silicon case they include in the package is not nice so I bought my own back case. The convenience is doubled when you get your own back case. Mate 10 Pro over Note 8 is its battery and no software error. The little disappointment is, Chinese brand doesn't allow to change font type unlike Korean. Sometimes we just get bored with the default font. Change the default keyboard with Gboard. Now I don't have a feeling that I want to change my phone anymore.

Agree, the front camera is really out of standards of a flagship phone. Cons: For Groufie, the people's face at the back are not in focus (EXTREMELY OUT OF FOCUS!) Distorted part in some edge because of wide angle NO HDR, so when you take a shot against the light, no more details (unlike my old LG G5) Pros: For selfie, the details are acceptable when shot in close up (It's a hit or miss tho). I must say this phone is the best phone I have seen speed comparison between different phones, iPhone X is having similar speed but much much much less battery life. I was having Note 8 which was not at all speedy in comparison to mate 10 Pro and battery life just half a day but mate 10 Pro gives me more than 1 day battery life so usually night to night charging with approximately 25% remaining. Camera blazing fast with both auto and Pro features, no need to buy any other software. UI, I will not say very beautiful but still most effective one, I think npu chip is making all the difference it is lightning speedy and speed improved over the days as publicized. Thanks

Can't really fault this phone - apart from the fact it doesn't have a MicroSD card slot - that would have been the icing on the cake. However, I love this phone - spent a lot of time comparing different makes and models and settled for this one. Great standby time, I love the big 6" display and that fact that it's not bundled with loads of apps that you can't get rid of (unlike some other manufacturers). People moan that there's no 3.5mm headphone jack, but you're provided with a USB C to 3.5mm adapter, so that does just fine. Plus you're also given a clear silicone case in the box too - a nice touch! The Mate 10 pro is fast with 6gb RAM and it has plenty storage too (128gb) - plus you can obviously use cloud storage if you want to store that little bit more.

I had the same issue I solved it. Now the battery life is amazing. Go to Settings, tap Battery, Tap battery usage, then tap phone manager, Tap App info, Tape Storage and Clear data and clear cache. It's done. This gave me two days battery life. let me know if it works

My Wow Factors: 1. npu - camera does auto sync to best suited mode when u point to an object, pics quality is very good, maybe not the best but I can say its 1 of the top range among the flagship. 2. minimal bloatware, very good experience for me as I am kind of minimalist, compare to what I see dozens of unused apps from Samsung. 3. detailed apps launcher & battery optimizer, where it allows me to control and monitor the apps behavior. 4. fast thumb print response. (my 1st time since I was using a s. note4. 5. multiple profile where I can create 1 profile for work and 1 for my personal use. Con: 1. power hunger, kirin 970 is a beast, huge improvement from kirin 960 but I guess it can do better. 2. a lot of apps not optimized yet. whereby google maps, waze, fb and social apps drain a lot of juice out of the 4000mah capacity.

I gotta say these stuffs out as I just got this Mate 10 Pro for 2 weeks. Overalls, I love it. The camera is cool and fast. Performance is pretty fast. Battery life is longer enough for full day or full day and a half, of course it depends on how much you use it. Storage and RAM are damn nice. For the price, I could get with USD 799. Design and look are very nice n not bad if you compare to Note8 or S8 or even overpriced iPhone X. Buy it if you love it, no big deal guys!

I got the beautiful gadget one week before. It's an amazing smartphone. You can say full package. beautiful design, display battery speed, and price everything is fine. You no need to compare and think about other phones if you get this. EMUI 8.0 is great UI. I like EMUI 8.0 Some people are saying there should be wireless charging. I think when you can get a full day charge in 30 minutes then there is no need for the wireless charge. That is interesting because my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has a 3600mah battery and the wireless charging is very fast. I see no reason why wireless charging cannot be sped up. Yes, it is less efficient in power slightly but it is difficult for me to believe it isn't possible as wireless charging has been upgraded several times recently and has more realistic world usage.

I had the same decision to make, I choose the Mate 10 Pro after extensively trying both. - Way better battery life, especially standby time is brilliant. I loose about 3 to 4 percent over night with 200 apps installed, everything enabled. - Quick charging is incredibly fast. I travel a lot and just a quick top up of 10 minutes in the airport gives me over 25% extra battery. It's like REALLY fast! - Feels smoother, I like EMUI. - Better finger print sensor placement. - Better form factor, I found the Note 8 to be too tall. - GPS reception is notably better on the Mate 10 Pro. - Don't need the 3,5 mm jack, as I have Dash Pro bluetooth headphones. - The lack of expandable storage left me in doubt, but since I back up everything on Dropbox, i can safely free up space on my Mate.

How did you notice battery behavior with the AlwaysON Display option? It seems to me, however, that this option is not well optimized and still consumes too much battery, with regard to consumption without switching on AlwaysON. I think it' 10-15% battery drain overnight for 6-9h time.

SOT is heavily influenced by how the device is used. For me on my Mate 10 Pro, most of the battery life is used while the device is in standby....so my SOT will be lower currently compared to if I was actively using the device the entire day non stop. My battery lasts me x3 days before I need to charge it. So based on that, no one can give you an accurate SOT rating on any other device, you will somehow need to test it yourself based on your usage patterns.

I'm looking to replace a Samsung note 4 and I like the look of this phone, the battery life and the camera. However at least where I live the actual pricing is the same as the Note 8. (Lazada 13th Dec 17). The note 8 has more in the box (earphones), a better screen , wireless charging and I already have a 128gb memory card so the extra memory isn't a value add. The note 8 will have better resale value and there are many more available accessories. Nobody charges their phone and listens to music on the move. Only when you are at home with an aux cable or maybe in the car (use bluetooth, its 2017). The thing charges rapid so in half an hour charging you can listen the rest of your working day. The only bad thing about the lack of an aux is that you'll have to carry the dongel around all day, the rest is managable.

Just bought my huawei mate 10 pro on 21 nov 2017. And i already spotted an abnormality on the camera mode. Whenever i go into camera mode, there will always be a black speck of shade and it will appear on any picture that i took. So much for a camera intensive marketing technique, turns out not a very good camera phone. Their service center is atrocious, i have sent the phone in on the 3rd of dec and the staff mentioned repair would take 3 to 5 days, its the 9th dec now and still no news. I called their helpdesk and they could only tell me to wait for their call with no status update and could only get their manager or service staff to call me back but that would take another 24 to 48 hours as mentioned by their customer service staff. This could only mean more time wasted and to me its just buying time as their customer service department is totally weak and incompetent. In this era now where mobile phone is such an important and essential gadget and this mobile maker can afford such unreliable service and product quality. Those who are considering this phone please think twice if you have time for such unreliability and unreactive customer service this phone is just right for you.
