Huawei Mate 20 lite - User Reviews

  • Can i get emui 10 or not in this phone?

  • Compare also with my old Moto X4, with my nephew Moto G6 and with my life Galaxy A7. All of them have better results in most cases. Mate 20 Lite camera is very, very poor, that's the sad truth. No matter whit who you'll compare. I bought it for my secondary device, befor one year, just when was announced, and very quick after that i was truly disappointed from his camera. Other than that, build quality is good and battery life is awesome. Its a good device but without camera. Its like you not have such.

  • however, photography is an art only. For example, a professional photographer takes 300 to 500 photos to select 10 of them, how many factories influence the camera, and they have no idea.

  • you can't compare budget huawei phone to a samsung flagship, compare it with p20 pro , p30 /pro , those are huawei flagships

  • One of the worst camera that I've used ever. Compare with mine Galaxy s9, quality is awful Blured images without details. Especially when you're shooting people's. Eyes lack of sharpness, hair looks mushy without any separation and details. So dissapeared with camera on this phone.

  • after system update it's normal to experience faster battery drain, lags, slow phone, because the apps are being optimised and this lasts for about 1 hour to 1 or 2 weeks after the update(depending on how often you use your phone).

  • After my phone was force updated by itself at night to Android 9.0.1.164 without my permission, which was very wierd, I started experiencing lags and serious battery drain, three times faster discharge. After reading in forums, disabling all three animations (from Developer options) and wiping cache partition worked for me and now the phone is again fast and the battery life is fine. Hope this works for people who have a problem like mine.

  • I've had my Mate 20 Lite since December 2018 so i'm coming up on the one year mark. I do not use my phone for playing games, music or watching videos - i use my iPad for that. I do manage several corporate email accounts, whatsapp and phone calls. I typically get 3 days on a single charge and i've not had any issues with the phone so far - no ghosting or frozen navigation buttons. My one and only issue with the phone is that the camera is not great and i will go as far as saying its below average for a new phone. If you're taking photos in bright daylight - the camera is great, otherwise it is comical. I will be upgrading to the Xiaomi Note 8 Pro as i have missed many photo opportunities with this phone in low light situations.

  • So I've was using this phone for about a year. Youtube, camera, browsing, navigation from time to time and listening music. Good things: - the battery. This phone have one of the best battery's that I've ever try. No matter how i use the phone thru the day, when i go to bed aways at least 25% left. Its not a huge 4500mah but never get worried about battery. Battery life is the most powerful side of Mate 20 Lite. - screen. The display is pretty good. Sharp, bright with good colors. Only that huge notch messed up things. But at least have option to hide it. Bad things: - camera. Only on good daylight you can capture decent pictures. Huawei decided to put some weak camera sensor who are struggling to capture decent photos. Pictures are blurry, without dynamic range. Bad saturation and washed colors. On low light or indoors situation goes terrible. Camera is bigger disappointment from this device for me. Even older phones are able to take much better photos than Mate 20 Lite. Very average cameras. - UI. EMUI is... I dont like it But must be honest. With every update goes better. Just cant compare with stock android - updates. Very slow from Oreo to Pie. After update some things goes worse. They remove stabilization from video recorder. Battery life goes worse. Maybe i forgot something but... Now i bought a used Note 8, almost like new, and can say that difference is huge. Feeling, cameras, overal experience is much more satisfying. Only thing that I've miss is battery life. So if someone is on dilemma to buy Mate 20 Lite... My advice is to spend his money to some older flagship rather than this cheap phones. Will be much happier.

  • Emui 10 on this phone confirmed after March

  • Back & front very good Frontal flash is not phisycal, but the screen goes white and makes the flash effect

  • Hey I wanna know does this phone has front flash n how's the camera result main n front both

  • Redmi Note 7

  • With Android, please.

  • Can you please, please tell me an under $200 good camera phone, for filming for YouTube?

  • It's about 200e, using it for two months now, It's not a bad Phone at all. Nothing special, but very okay for a Phone It's class

  • After update camera stabilization in video is gone. I cant understand why they remove that feature. Now every video that i take is shaking. On Oreo we have EIS and things was ok. Other than that, battery live is a bit worse. Slightly better smoothness in scrolling but nothing significant. To me update is not good.

  • Good job to huawei with the last 9.1.0 emui update. -erofs and gpu turbo 3.0 are working perfectly (the phone has 40% more free ram memory than before, better performance in gaming and less power consumption, smoother animations and transitions as well). -Some bugs were fixed with this update. -Also Huawei mate 20 lite was officially confirmed for EMUI 10.

  • I read the opinions and conclude that all this Chinese junk is worth the "how much money is so much music" system. You pay your cell phone 400 euros and then you have a "flea bag" that you can get rid of by throwing your cellphone in the trash. Yes or not , question is now . Kuku lele.....

  • Not too smart example, but... We didn't want to go back. We move forward. Btw, with some restrictions like that, Huawei do exactly this... Thay bring us back in the days. No big of a deal for you maybe, but you are a veeeeeeeery insignificant piece of users, most of which are unhappy about that issues. Have a great weeken ;)

  • well you can live with it as you did since your first smartphone :P there was life before the dark mode became a trend and our eyes were okay

  • That's definitely a fault with your specific phone or your sim card. I've had mine for two months now and I've had absolutely no problems with it whatsoever, and quite frankly for the price I paid for it, it's exceeding my expectations. So please, before blurting out that the model as a whole is bad, do some research to find out wether it's a common issue or not. If not it's more likely to be your SIM card's contacts that are bad from wear and tear and not the phone (to me it's more logical that a small slab of plastic and metal is more likely to be at fault than a brand new phone).

  • All.. It's annoying and there is no fix

  • Anyone else with ghost images on display?

  • Thats on theory. On real usage, I'm sure you didn't notice any difference. Except that you're eyes will feel better. Huawei just makes stupidityes without any sense. Thats the truth.

  • As a matter of fact dark mode on LCD screen uses more energy than normal-bright mode. In LCD technology screen is backlit all the time and additional energy is needed to keep individual pixels dark. So the less the LCD screen has dark areas the less energy is consumed if you maintain the same level of screen brightness.

  • I agree. You can't complain about this phone because of the low price (200-300 euros now) nevertheless this phone is amazing, the camera, processing speed, battery lasts 1.5 day easily, the screen is huge for watching videos, and it's huawei it has quality you can feel huawei is the second biggest smartphone company now bellow first place samsung ans above 3rd place apple ;)

  • If YOU HAVE T MOBILE- This is THE BEST budget phone you can get Reviewers on YouTube say the camera's on it suck, or there are far better options out there. Let me tell you the camera is freaking awesome. It passed my expectations. I went to thr phone finder here with a very specific filter. Bands 2, 4, 12, 2.2+ ghz, 3000+ mAh battery, etc.. Only 10 phones out of the 8,000+ showed up. I did more research and found very underwhelming reviews sadly. I tried it out anyway and it has been the perfect phone. Sure maybe not as good as way more expensive phones, but that doesn't matter. If you're looking for a fast running phone, insanely good battery life, a pretty good camera by today's standards, and have T mobile, this is by far the perfect fit for a budget phone!! At least it was for me

  • Dark mode or dark themed ui works on all types of screens. Oled or Lcd that doesn't matter. Idk why from Huawei decided to put dark ui only on their amoled phones. Absolutely no point. In oled saves energy. Ok, so on Lcd what? Drain battery or what?!?!? Trash.

  • Dark mode works only on oled screens

  • Ok... So now received Emui 9.1 update... No dark mode, datk themes didn't work at all... What's going on?!? Start to hate that Huawei phone. That white theme is awful and damn aggressive to my eyes. I dont care if its power efficient or not. Sick of all Huawei's buls*its. NEVER AGAIN!!!

  • This phone is rubish, very bad quality!!! Suddenly, for no reason, the phone stops making or receiving phone calls. I have to take out the SIM card, and reinsert it, turn off the phone, and turn it back on, to have the problem solved. It happens all the time, every other day. When I am on the go, on the street, I do not have time to stop and take out the needle, put on my glasses, take the phone out of it's case, take out the sim card, replace it etc. If not done carefully, it doesn't work, so it has to be done patiently. It seems to be a problem with the contact beween the card and the harware of the phone. The worst is have not finished paying for it, and will need to buy another one... :(((

  • I buy the Mate 20 lite two months ago and is awesome. Got the update to EMUI 9.1 and maybe the EMUI 10 in a few months. I don't have nothing bad to say about this phone. The only thing that I hate is the hybrid slot for the SD, for rest has a great performance and battery life.

  • Better or worse!

  • Yes, I dont have any problem, phone works great. Im from Istria (EU)

  • I already have EMUI 9.1 on my Huawei Mate 20 Lite, from HiCare app, model SNE-LX3 (i'm from Argentina)

  • instead of buying this 6/64 you can go for 4/64 of Cc9e have equal price

  • same here

  • Me too...

  • I also have some issues after update to Pie. - sometimes navigation buttons must be pressed more than once to work. - battery life is worse. 6hrs screen on time compared to the 7-8hrs on Oreo. - camera quality is worse. Bfor update was bad, now is awful. Overexposed, soft images. Very bad. - no black theme, like amoled models, which i can't understand!?!? Why amoled have it, LCD models not?

  • Emui 9.1 end of August i hope they will correct some minor bugs with this android 9.0.1 uodate

  • After update on emui 9.0.1 games like acting strange. Candy crash saga is not running smootly like before.

  • hi,month ago i bought huawei ANE-LX1 andriod version8.0 chinse version 64Gb phone storage,i install some apps now:apps1.24Gb,Available 44.79Mb.now telling me free space is there a software can run and i use phone storage completely without using SD Card.many thanks.

  • Yes. I have received (Latvia)

  • Huawei mate 20 lite is listed for emui 9.1 update this summer and possibly emui 10 at fall or next year

  • I already have EMUI 9 on my Huawei Mate 20 lite .. Model SNE-LX3, From HiCare app. I'm from Argentina (sorry for bad english)

  • update on emui 9 update The phone is great now the RAM issue has stabilised and everything else is good 👌🏻

  • Huawei phones like P series and Mate series are great.

  • After update I noticed: The phone is slower(specially at installing apps) Have less ram memory(before update always 2gb+, now less than 2gb) Camera quality is worse on both (more noise and over exposed) The phone hanging more than usually.. Not smooth at all So Huawei made this phone worse.. with a reason, new models to be better.

  • After the update I noticed that the camera is worse

  • Does anyone else experiences fadter battery drainage, less RAM memory and slower apps start up after tge android 9 update?

  • Huawei mate 20 lite have a good battery. It will charge for only 1 hour and 45 minutes. Xiaomi is like a plastic phone thats why I dont like it. Also mate 20 lite is very good for gaming. The only problem is the sowftare update.

  • I got the android 9.0.1 (EMUI 9.0) today in Macedonia Europe

  • Pie in Slovenia but doesn't solve SD card error problem...

  • No Pie in Sweden yet.

  • perfect

  • Finally today, after year, i receive Pie update. A year for a single update. But, that's it.

  • it is coming right away! be patient!

  • Please anyone check how RN7 bends easily, and the try it with mate 20 lite. Performance wise RN7 may be ahead, do not forget, mate 20 lite is last years model. And RN7 64gb costs same as mate 20 lite. Also xiaomi ui is awful to me.

  • Yes. 9.0.1

  • Anyone got android pie?

  • Anyone got android pie?

  • with usb-c, bigger notch, and smaller screen

  • Indeed it is hoNor 8x

  • Same here man Europe support suckss big time.. I will trade mine for Samsung Galaxy A70

  • Huawei support sucks. Now is June, but mine Mate 20 Lite is on Oreo and March security patch. That's awful.

  • Phone is OK, but there is so much better out there. Had the mate 20 lite for 1 month now and just have a few problems with it, which is already unacceptable for a phone this age. First of all, the phone is incredibly slippery. You literally can't use this phone without a cover. My desk is quite old and not entirely flat anymore, but I literally can't lay my phone on my desk now. Slowly but surely it will fall off and guess what? The screen breaks first fall, and slowly breaks more and more in your pocket. Second of all, it's not very energy efficient. I have to charge it for 4 hours or more to get it to 100%, and even though it can last for 2 days, if you use it constantly for 10 minutes it will heat up and drain the battery. Last but not least, there is so much crap software on a huawei phone. Why can't I remove Instagram? Why do I have hicare and other shit software which requires you to share your information to huawei, which is kinda scary if you consider the news about huawei and the selling of personal data. (not sure wat really happened here, but wtf I don't want unremoveable software that requires personal info to work) 5/10 Returning to xiaomi now

  • I love Huawei and Macedonia! Good lack!

  • The phone suffering from ghost images on display. Also on gray background, youtube dark mode, easily can see on both sides whiter shadows. Sometimes when use keyboard for longer time on display remain ghost image of keyboard. That's very annoying. Plus softwarr updates delay, not good experience with that phone and brand. Also very often give sd card error. Whit brand new, class 10 sd card Not good phone.

  • I greet all the people you love your newly purchased appliances and be happy with them, great greetings to you and the Croatia from Macedonia

  • Super phone!! Screen, battery, camera, i love it!! Good job Huawei!

  • I’ve got a mate 20 lite, dual sim, 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. For some reason I don’t have the dual sim settings, so I can’t even configure my SIM cards, why is that and what can I do ?

  • That's not true. Performance is equal if not better on Redmi. Camera is faaaaaaaar better than Mate 20 Lite. Battery is better. Development is much, much better. Support from Xiaomi is better. You must be blind to say the Mate 20 Lite or Huawei is better than Redmi Note 7 or Xiaomi. Huawei never again. Never!!!

  • mate 20 lite , is much better in performance with the Xiaomi RDNOTE 7

  • Samsung A50. Newer model. Better camera. Samsung.

  • Mate 20 lite or Samsung A50?

  • Mate 20 lite or Samsung A50?

  • Mate 20 Lite camera is poor. Better go for other phone.

  • Mate 20 lite of course!

  • Mate 20 lite or P30 lite ?

  • Mate 20 lite or samsung a40. For camera pls!!!

  • Yesterday i sold that phone. Now will go for Redmi Note 7. Cheaper and far better device. I will never back to Huawei. So disappointed.

  • I have SNE-LX1 8.2.0.144 (C432) 1 mars security patch in Sweden. Where the hell is Pie Update!!!!!!!

  • Which version do you have ad in which country?

  • On 11 may 2019 new phone , check for upgrade: android 8.2 is the latest. April security patch .

  • I had system message that I can update OTA to 9 android.

  • ram is 4gb

  • What about 9.1 update will it be for Christmas and the Q update for summer 2020? I will sell my Mate 20 lite because this is not acceptabel!!!!!!

  • Yep, they say that Mate 20 Lite will receive Pie in June and P20 Lite in July. That's the Huawei updates. Disappointed alot.

  • What! In june! No way.. :/

  • The Huawei mate 20 lite has two options of ram, 4Gb or 6Gb. Does anyone know if the performance tests were made with the 4Gb or the 6Gb. I'm guessing they were made with the 6Gb. Where can I find in this site the 4Gb tests? Anyone know?

  • So officially from Huawei, Pie update will be available OTA in June. Huawei, are you kidding with us? For one major update we must wait one year?!? That's ridiculous. You've lost a client. This is not serious to deliver a single os update one year. No more Huawei!!!

  • This attitude from Huawei is abusive.

  • Come on when will Pie arrived in Europe SNE-LX1???

  • Most of the time it works in the Philippines.. even if your phone is unlocked.. "they" can make it work..

  • I'm disappointed too. I have constantly sd card error and didn't know how to fix that. Trying with new, expensive sd card but the issue remain. Its very annoying. Other annoying thing is slow update to Android 9 Pie. I was on J7 2016 before and was much more satisfied. I also thinking to sell this phone and back to Samsung. Was a mistake that i not do again.

  • Not true! They're roll out for some countries in Eastern Europe too, but not to all. And then they're stop it.

  • The android 9 update is available only in China ok!

  • East Europe, no Android 9.

  • East Europe android 9.0 long time ago.

  • Do you perhaps have problems with SD card?

  • No Android 9 still... What is the problem? Why Huawei didn't update this phone? I bought it last November but till now only security updates. Its my first Huawei, but maybe will be my last one. Not good experience with that brand. Sorry...

  • Will android 9 solve SD card error problem?

  • John, where do you live?

  • I update my mate20lite to andorid 9 now

  • Camera on daylight is good. On lowlight on other hand is poor. I hope with Pie update to have some improvements, eventually... But when we receive Pie update no one knows.

  • Im using this phone 6 month. Very good IPS screen, but camera just a trash. Look at gsmarena low light tests.

  • Where is the Pie Update, nothing in Sweden yet!!!!!!!

  • I have, Mate 20 Lite. Does not work. Touch not work. Can not be turned off to reset. The screen "froze". Nothing works. Help.

  • China population is equivalent to 20% of the total world population and you feel that you are upset, imagine what will happen if we say stop for the production of the electronic industry. Or it's overcome for your understanding. For this reason you're not worth for my attention, and that's why I put an end to it.

  • Asus zenfone is also made in Taiwan...

  • Hi guys, I hear that audio quality is very poor especially on hands free. Is it true? Also between huawei smart 2019 and this one, is mate 20 lite worth the 100 euro difference on price?

  • Where are you from?

  • So from your words i assume that you are a old man with communism complexes. You are happy with that to restrict you and that's ok to you. So please keep your limit opinion for your self and do not spread your limitations to others. Android is open source but Huawei are not.

  • it's also stupid and your thinking about communism, since you did not come to terms with it, and you are not at all competent to talk about communism, I assume you are a child with a problem with racial and political differences

  • I didn't care which other brands are in China. I have Huawei so i speak about them. They act like communist's and want to pay them for something that other brands like Xiaomi, Nokia, Motorola and other didn't. And your association with cars is stupid. I dont want to nothing than to get rid of that awful EMUI. Thats the difference when you buy a cheap Huawei and cheap other phone. When you get cheap other brand phone atleast you have freedom to personalize it. With Huawei you cant.

  • Chinese communism? and where else, except for China , mobile phones are produced? Except HTC is made in Taiwan all other brand's is made in ''CHINA''

  • you are one of those who want to modify the phones as they make racing cars, so they modify the engines to drive faster by increasing the speeds of the limited 5000rpm to 7000rpm, but how will they sustain it? a short period of time is understood. I personally think that there is nothing that satisfies you. and the rest of us will enjoy in the works that are sure of it.

  • Just got Android 9 on the mate 20 lite

  • So, 2 months with mate 20 lite and I absolutely hate it. The reason why I prefer android phones over ios is because of the freedom of choice. Well, screw that, said Huawei. Pay 60euros extra if you don't want a cancerous OS. The design is beautiful, but is terrible for utility. The front camera blocks more than half of the notification bar. The phone slides off any surface no matter how levelled it is. Best accessory for this phone is a chewing gum you stick to your table so it doesn't end up in the ground. Hell it even slips out of my hands sometimes. If you value the freedom Android gives you to customize your phone, or the physical state of the phone just buy a different brand. A case solves a lot but still doesn't solve any of the limits Huawei decided to integrate into their Android.

  • I was having a Mate 10 Lite bfor and is a pretty much same. So i know what I'm talking about. Garbage cpu and camera like i said. So my advice for those who are thinking to buy a cheap Huawei phones... Don't do it!!! Better go for other brands cheap models. Huawei locks his phones and you are forced to use EMUI and no option to install pure android or any other os like MIUI or other Rom's. Its something like Iphone restricted but with worse quality. In short... The phone is your, you're paid for it, but you cant do what you whant with it. Sound strange, yes?!?! Welcome to Huawei. Chinese communism. People get away from Huawei!!!!!

  • he probably talks about that, what you do not have

  • Garbage cpu and camera... What beast you talking about?

  • honor 9lite is the beast

  • everybody has a sympathy for a someone brand and it will say bad for the other brands . Until 2 months ago I had Alcatel but when I paid the bill for the mobile operator they offer me Honor 8x with a small fee as their long-time user so i decide without checking the specification to buy it, now two months later I can tell you that is superior and rocket speed, but the design is the most beautiful especially in the rear glass section with 15 canvases that shine to the brightness. for the first time I use this brand and I'm overwhelmed, it's already being update in Android 9.0.1 pie.

  • Mi A2, Mi 8Lite, Galaxy A9, Moto G7 Plus, Nokia 7.1... Keep away from Huawei budget models You'll suffer.

  • Mate20 lite, p20 lite or honor 8x?

  • So now even Honor 8x, who is cheaper than Mate 20 Lite, gets Android Pie updates. What's wrong with Huawei? You pay more to wait more? Stupid chinese garbage. Annoyed by that phone now. Never do that mistake again. You didn't get what you pay for. Other manufacturers better that this trash.

  • Bought this phone recently, coming from a Samsung S7. Not happy with it at all. Camera is bad and especially weak in conditions with low light (only seems to work fine in perfect conditions). Camera extremely slow to open and no quick launch option. Repeated SD card errors. Lags. Becomes extremely slow when connected to bluetooth speaker. I also have an issue with the lack of customizability in the settings, my S7 was much better. Positives are battery life (but slow to charge), quick fingerprintscanner and I like the swiftkey keyboard Looking to get it replaced asap

  • As a daily driver, A9 is the better option because of its SuperAMOLED display. Having a notchless display, headphone jack and storage expansion slot makes A9 a very good multimedia device. A9 and Mate20 Lite are a bit heavy, though. P20 is much better than the other two for gaming. Because, Kirin970 is much better than Kirin 710 and SD660, also on par with SD845. On the camera department, P20 and A9 stand out with different advantages. P20 has a very good main camera with OIS and its secondary monochrome sensor lowers noise, improves contrast and the captured detail on footage. On the other hand, A9 has normal, ultra-wide, telephoto and depth sensors. For selfies, all of these phones have 24MP sensors with f/2 0 aperture, therefore will be almost the same on selfies.

  • i think the samsung galaxy a 9 is better

  • Is there a official when Pie will roll out for Mate 20 Lite? I read that Honor 8x now gets 9 Pie in Europe/Macedonia.

  • P20 looks like easy one. I will get P20.

  • Hey guys. I need some assistance with selecting a new device. I can't decide between the mate 20 lite, galaxy a9 or p20. Wich one do you think is gonna be a good daily driver? Please. Any help

  • Hi guys is this phone unlocked?

  • Mate 20 Lite is better choice.

  • Video also 1080p@60fps. Correct that!

  • Sony is most boring phones out there for past few years and you price them hight. That's show how blind you are and how fanboyism clouds your mind.Hah... Typicall sheep kind, iphone like fanboy you are. If most of the users was like you android never will be dominant os. Think about that. If you can...

  • You look like more of a fanboy to me. I had all (except samsung) smartphones. Motorolas looked the worst. Huawei, lg, sony and samsung are most 'complete' phones. Most of users do not care about locked bootloaders, custom roms and so on. Huawei serves me like a tool perfectly. So did lg and sony.

  • Moto is mich bigger compared to Lg and Sony in mid-range and low end devices To be honest, Sony are verry poor in general. Same can be said for LG but they are a bit better bcoz G-Serries. Moto G6/7 are very affordable devices with good quality and muuuuuuuch better software than Huawei's EMUI. Almost pure android, no iphonish hunk's. Agree that Mate 20 Lite have good hardware, except camera which is cheap piece of garbage, but software is close to awful. Other than that, you didn't have android freedom to install what ever you want, i mean to install rom's like lineage os or resurrection remix etc, bcoz Huawei communistic behaviour to not unlocks bootloaders. So no one can convince me that Huawei are better than other in terms of support. Just read the facts carefully and you will see the truth. Dont be blind fanboy.

  • Lol, not everywhere mi 8 lite is pie. I would not call moto as a big manufacturer. Look at sony, lg, samsung. And even if I take your opinion, fact's that huawei lite versions are way better quality than some of others. Xiaomi likes to bend and other build quality issues, lg good quality but features are behind.

  • Should i buy honor 8x or mate 20 lite?

  • Mi 8 Lite have stable Pie already. Moto X4 and other Moto last year models too. Nokia, not a flagship ones too. Huawei are poor about updates.

  • Other manufacturers are no different. Mi 8 lite for example, same 8 android and even earlier security patches. Lg, sony are the same. Huawei with their update policy are not the worst nor the best.

  • Hi guys just wondering for example i bought this phone in rome italy then suddenly got a vacation in philippines, will the sim cards in the philippines works in this phone??

  • You are lucky one when didn't have that error. Many other, like me, have that issue. About updates... Sadly other brands are much better in that regard. Even for their Lote models. But, what we can make? Waiting...

  • There were enough offers in those times. I personally had some strange dimming when opening the light-colored app like facebook with maximum brightness, then phone dimmed a bit, but that were quite smart feature to me. Funny thing, that it is gone. I did not faced any sd errors or something like that. If they could fix camera in dark modes it would be nice, but i doubt that, because it is a cheap sensor problem. And don't forget that LITE models tend to go slower with major updates sooner than non LITE models. It is just my opinion so sorry.

  • I personally, hope new Emui/Android to solve few problems that i have with this phone. Talking about screen dimming, sd card error and maybe some camera improve. Mate 20 Lite is not perfect phone so thats why most of users wait for updates. To fix issue's that they already have. That's the major point of updates. Evolution is the word. Yes, its not such a drastic changes like bfor 5yrs ago, but to make your work with the phone much enjoyable and easy. Bcoz there's a much more offers othere these days. Not like Froyo-Gingerbread times...

  • It is not anymore how it was with 1.6 anroid to 2.1 or 2.1 to 2.2 when features like app to sd were presented. Or there were major ui updates. 95% of mate 20 lite users will not notice any changes between version 8 and 9. It is more psychological thingy.

  • I've had this phone for two weeks now. Here's my extremely short review: I'm very pleased with it. There are only two things that I don't like very much. Number ONE: Camera struggles a lot at night or in low light situations... pretty bad. With good light, it's 'good' nothing to complain about. Number TWO: No Android 9 yet (as of March 18th, 2019). Come on HUAWEI, this phone is barely 6 months old, where's the latest version of Android? It's been more than 7 months since the launch of Android Pie, we are reading lots of news about Android Q and we're still on Oreo? Other than that, I love this phone. This is my first HUAWEI and I'm liking it so far. Hopefully, if they can fix what I referred to as Issue #2, I'll continue trying their products.

  • When i can get the new EMUI 9 and android 9.0 pie in Macedonia. If anyone knows the answer please reply! Thanks

  • Thank you so much

  • As far as I know, only China. Very slow updates from Huawei. Start to getting annoyed. Think to sell that phone. When now, a half year device, cant get updates fast, what can we expect when being a year or more? Bad Hiawei updates politics.

  • Someone got Android 9 Pie? In china was official 10 days ago, but others nothing?!

  • Very good phone , i'm using it for a while now and no problems at all . recommend it to everyone : premium design (solid metal frame glass back large bright display with good colors ) ,great cpu and the battery lasts 1.5 day easily with average gaming , it never heats , also the gaming is outstanding , the ram is ok ( it has 2/2.5/2.8) free space depending on how much apps and settings you have turned on The only thing i think is a bad thing is watching youtube videos in full dusplay its too much zoomed and part of the video is hidden i don't know if that's normal in notched displays . and the other thing is not android pie 9 yet . If i change the region to malaysia will i be able to update it ?

  • I have the same insue man 😒. I noticed 2 days ago, I was at WhatsApp. Then when I left the app, the ghost appeared and stay for about 20 min. Could the problem be software? before installing version 8.2.0.142, it was normal with no problem. And now I have this insue

  • So seems Xiaomi is better regarding to cheaper models. Now Mi A2 Lite have Pie 9.0 And generally they deliver much more updates for its phones. Like camera improvements, performance improvements etc. Next phone will be Xiaomi.

  • Yes, it is easy to crack this glass as I learned the hard way :( a case or some kind of protection is a MUST for this phone. Be warned. However I highly recommend this phone. I am very impressed with Mate 20 Lite - it does everything I want without any fuss at all. I am so used to it now that I'm wondering if its worth going back to iPhone.

  • Hi,I would like to know if a Mate 20 lite (bought in Mexico) will work at France? I'm between this model and the P20 lite. #help

  • Hell no. For that price will be too much, don't you think?

  • It has wireless charging?

  • Only in China for now... Waiting for Europe, I hope it will be soon :)

  • Is it upgradeable to Android 9 in the uk?

  • I have an iPhone 6, but I need to change this celphone, is the mate 20 lite worth it to buy?

  • yes it supports OTG

  • Does this device work on T-Mobile in the u.s?

  • Does this device support USB OTG?

  • Security patch... Where is 9 pie?

  • February google safety update is already on this phone.

  • Still NO PiE!!! Poor!!!

  • It has USB type C and supports fast charge. It has an aluminium body with a back glass panel.

  • Yes, it comes with usb-c port and have glass back.

  • Hello fellows, I am from Bulgaria (Eastern Europe) Does the phone comes with Usb Type-C and does it have plastic back or its made of glass .

  • I got my Huawei Mate 20 lite ! Is excellent ! Better than samsung a7 2018 in processor and gpu(i play PUBG in high settings) ! Screen has Gorilla glass 3 but i am using a glass screen protector and a Spigen case ! Battery life in very good, screen is very good, sound is very good, cameras are good . Go for Huawei Mate 20 Lite is a better choice than Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 !

  • i want to buy huawei mate 20 lite but i'm worried about the screen protection, is it too easy to crack? i dom't see any gorilla glass declaration that's why i can't choose between mate 20 lite and samsung a7 2018 please help :)

  • Bulgaria. But that doesn't matter, bcoz 9.0 Pie is not available for any country. Only available for beta users right now.

  • which country do you live in ? :)

  • No 4k video recording. That's shame but i think the phone is good. Can you tell me does it play 4k video on Youtube for instance because i checked P20 Lite and it can't play anything above 1080p smoothly and no support for 4k.

  • He is commenting wrong phone probably...

  • And how to do that? No update for my country.

  • You are kidding right ? Just uninstall the apps u do not like . The lock screen can be changed . Not Huawei's fault you do not understand how the phone works .

  • I was able to update my Huawei device to EMUI 9 and Android Pie on the first day. Great phone.

  • You can update to EMUI 9 and Android 9 Pie the day you open the box. That's what I did. Great phones.

  • Not bad hardware, but bad software. I'm sure without that ugly EMUI, phone will be rock solid. And still no Android Pie, which is shame.

  • I put a glass one for any case. But i do this on every mine devices no matter if they have gorilla glass or not.

  • What about the screen protection from scratches? Should we add a protective glass or it has antiscratch mechanism?

  • I bought it in late Jan (2019) at $290. Doesn´t make me miss amoled. Camera it´s ok for the price and I´m amazed battery life. Pretty fast response, but it is not perfect. I removed/disabled many things I wouldn´t use and it became snappier.

  • My opinion on this phone (which I have for a few hours) - The hardware is decent, screen, camera, all good. I really like the rear fingerprint sensor, its fast, and lets me skip the lock screen (which is a good thing). - It is my first 'notch' phone and although I was sceptical it is a none issue. But then there's the software: - I have never unboxed a phone so bloated. Not only are there the standard inferior, mail, calendar, contacts and galery bloat apps but there were also some games installed (might be something specific from the carrier). - The way huawei tries to mimic apple is just pathetic, from the lack of an app drawer (it can be enabled) to the design of the settings icon. - With the app drawer enabled I actually liked the launcher but then there is "global search" another piece of bloat that opens whenever you scroll down (unless you really start at the top). This "feature" lets you search your entire phone (like google doesn't know how to do search ? ). There is no option to disable this so another launcher is the only solution. - The lock screen is somthing weird with some random photo's you can like or dislike. It should be customizable, but you need to sign up for yet another bloat app. (Luckily the fingerprint activates the screen and bypasses the lockscreen). My verdict: Huawei made it to the 'never again' list (Joining apple and Samsung)

  • what is the difference between West European and International versions of this phone? Why West European is much cheaper?

  • I have this phone for about a month. After a month of usage I have to say that phone is realy great, camera is ok and battery life is amazing BUT i have two problems. One is "SD card error" message from time to time.Second more anoying is "ghost keyboard" on my screen after I use it for a while and "ghost" of previous application I used in the next one. Those "ghosts" last for about 10-20 minutes and after that they dissapear and everything is normal again.I dont know why is this happening because it is an LCD display so it is not "screen burning".It is "display retention" but I ont know how to solve this.It is not permanent,it is temporary and I dont want to give my phone to service because I dont want they to open my phone and change my display because of that minor issue.Anyone had the same problem?Advice?

  • This phone is the best I have ever had. Stunning display, beautiful colors, fast, responsive, no lag. I have the 4GB RAM version and its more than enough for me. I will give my phone to my sister for a few days so I did a backup and a factory reset. Never trust your sister ha ha :DD I bought my phone for 2/3 of the original price for my TV, internet and mobile 4G subscription and they gave this price. I recommend this phone to everyone.. thanks!

  • When android 9 Pie?

  • Update: SD card now works perfectly and doesn't fail any more (touch wood). There was no phone update or anything but for some reason its OK now. I'm happy now :) Otherwise i still like the phone. Works really well, is fast, has nice big screen, camera is good enough for me, battery is super good (2 days +), has most current features of other flagships (face unlock for example). There are however couple of bad points: face unlock doesn't always work as i would want it to work and can be annoying; charging takes ages (almost 3 hours to full capacity), but i guess its no big deal if you just charge it at night; occasional crash in google feed; beauty mode is annoying to me and I cant see where to turn it off permanently; still on Android 8 and unknown when will be updated; glass on the phone is not Gorilla glass (I believe) so can get damaged quite easily; no case or screen protector included in the box. In addition I didn't get a case for it at first and its more slippery than I expected and I already dropped it and slightly damaged the screen. So if you do get the phone - get a case for it straight away!!!

  • Imo same quality only difference is that M20Lite have eis in 1080p video. Keep in mind also that M20Lite have usb type C. At least to me, very important.

  • Huawei mate 20 lite or honor 8x? Who has better camera?

  • Suffers from screen dimming like many other Huawei phones. Camera is not that good. Maybe software idk but... Still on Oreo. Sometimes gives sd card error. When Bluetooth is on wi-fi didnt work. Sometimes ghost images, more often keyboard one, appears. No development at all. Huawei phones are like forbidden for developers. That mean after year, when from Huawei stop doing updates for him, this phone will die. That'sbad thing's. Good everyday speed. Apps works fine. Good battery life. More than 7hrs screen on. If you're not that demanding camera is ok. On day/bright conditions. Big screen, easy to watch videos, web etc. Nice feel in hand. Feels like premium phone. The good ones.

  • I just bought this phone - Great performance and even better value.

  • I also have this phone, and I´m not getting issues with it. I think it's perfect to me. So, for now I'm waiting for Android P. I have high expectations when my phone will run the new Android OS.

  • Hi, I have a Mate 20 lite and I have had NO problems, none. I love this phone and I think I will keep it for a long time.

  • I have the same problem as well

  • On Firmware Finder appear 150 which is 9.0 Pie. I think soon they will start to update all the regions.

  • Yes it was stated in emiui page on some chinese social network. Also there are 3 or 4 beta versions already launched in china. So 100% 9.0 on mate 20 lite.

  • Does anyone knows if there is any official statement regardin emui 9 and andoid 9 on Mate 20 Lite ? Or perhaps any estimation date for official build? Thx

  • Strange, because I already have 2019 january security patch on MATE 20 LITE.

  • Idk for Samsung, but is better between Honor 8X. If the price is close, better to take Mate 20 Lite. Yesterday i playing with one Nokia 7.1 and must say its a gorgeous phone also. Pure android and decent display. You may consider it too. Same value.

  • My sd card give error very often. Its a phone problem because i insert it on my wife phone(Xiaomi Mi8) for a month and dont give any errors. Put it again on my Mate 20 Lite and on first week give that "corrupted sd card" error. Huawei must solve that issue.

  • I'm supossed o buy a phone this friday and i dont know which one, Huawei mate 20 lite, Samsung Galaxy J8 2019 or a Honor 8X, which one is better and why or do they all have errors?

  • Had it only for a week, but i must say i am impressed with it. Look and feel is great, takes good photos, amazing battery life, not flagship but still is very fast and never struggles with any tasks. The only bad points I can say is that video is not that great. Also my inserted memory card keeps on failing in the phone even though it never failed inside HTC M9. otherwise its a great phone. Lots of quality phone for not that much of money!!

  • Is there private space option in this phone like in mate 10 pro?

  • Phone works well and i didn't care if it will be 8.1 or 9.0.

  • What a company they are... In some regions they've put eis and nfc. On some region one camera sensor(Omni vision), on other regions Sony one. In some regions updates comes bfor 1 month, other still waiting. What a messi company is that? Yesterday my mom's P9 Lite Mini receive December sec patch, phone 2 years old, but mine Mate 20 Lite still no update. Thinking to sold that Chinese trash and go for something else. Never Huawei again!

  • really sad bcusz it doesnt have eis in video ,for latam versions and no nfc , for europe versions they have those both functions, i hope huawei will make somethin with eis in android pie update

  • I have Huawei mate 20 lite " screenshot with 3 finger not work ???????

  • If you care about camera quality ,and AMOLED and beautiful design ..and don't mind micro USB port or the plastic frame then definitely recommend the A7 2018 if you do mind not having those things then mate 20 lite ...the only kind of bad thing about the Mate 20 lite is the camera quality , but overall Mate 20 lite Type C , glass body metal frame etc ...

  • If there's no other option then , yeah you can switch

  • Keep your Mate 10 Pro , mate 20 lite is not as near good as the Pro

  • So I'm in Europe/Bulgaria. Carrier free phone. No December patch. Still on November. Which is kind a ridiculous. Its almost February.

  • I have received december security patch long time ago.

  • Yep that helped. Thanks a lot.

  • See on Settings, System, Developer options. Look if "increase readability under sunlight" is on. If yes, turns it off. Maybe that will help.

  • Does someone have noticed weird colors on the screen under sunlight, like over saturated or something like that ?

  • Today my old Galaxy J5 2017, received Dcember security patch. That's ridiculous... Cmon Huawei...

  • If you not a amoled addicted Mate 20 Lite is better.

  • Mate 10 pro is flagship device. Why the hell you'll move from flagship to Lite?!?

  • Those who said that camera isn't good didn't have the phone or have problem with eyes. Use for month and takes some gorgeous pictures with it. 20mpx give possibility to crop images without lose quality and needs to zoom. Burst mode is devent and helping to take captures of moving objects, like my daughter for example. Color reproduction is great. Details are great. Shutter speed is good. F1.8 aperture helps for natural depth of field. Pro mode is good. Remember, much important in photography os to capture right moment, light and composition, rather than have the most boosted gadgets. For that price this phone is damn good.

  • Should I keep my Mate 10 Pro or switch to the Mate 20 Lite? Not bothered about having the newest model, just the better one.

  • Which one to buy matel 20 lite or samsung a7 2018

  • I am on december 1 security patch. Still 8.1.0 tho.

  • Camera is very good on good light. On low light not. Is there a news about Pie update? I have the phone for 3 months and till now i received only one security update. Still on November patch.

  • To me flash never was bright enough on this phone. As for the camera... Its a good camera especially on pro mode. I'm sure with updates may improves even more.

  • 4 GB Ram not 6 GB

  • Funny peoole complaining budget phone camera. It is even better than MI8. Anyway, have anyone noticed lower flashlight brightness after last big update?

  • Agree. Only way ti get good images is to shoot on pro mode. Reduce the shutter speed and iso helps to take maximum of the camera. Its not a best sensor anyway.

  • I've had a samsung J7 prime for nearly 2 years and I'm willing to switch to the mate 20 lite so should I?

  • Main camera is very poor in low or flood-light. Completly nothing special.

  • This phone is rock. I didn't see a week sides. Love it.

  • This phone to me looks like a Samsung for some reason.

  • Two major disadvantages of the phone was overpricing and Huawei... So second is temporary but the price is not. For below 300 bucks i recommend it strongly.

  • got this phone for 260eur on Vodafone Shop. i am a photographer and had an asus zenfone 3 laser. brilliant camera for photography, though now with this phone i'm just blown away... if you know how to use the camera and all the "pro" mode stuff, it can produce insane results. the AI was something i was joking about at the beginning, but actually it's really cool! i even use it most of the time! performance is great. battery insane. i'm in love. thx for being the best website about smartphones! -- vlad A.

  • To me camera takes very nice color images. Only night photis are bad. On day light is excellent. Great details and pleasing, punch colors with great dynamic range. Video also only 1080p but for me is better than 4k without stabilization. Thats for camera. 7.5/10 in its class. Performance also not bad. Around 140000 on antutu. Feel enough smoothin every day use. No complaints. For battery life many bfor me sayed. No need to comment... Dope. Display... Here I'm 50/50. Overall is good screen. Bright enough. Good colours. Big and pleasure to watch videos on it. But... Idk why is that dim issue on some apps. Not on every, but on some have slightly dimming. Not a huge issue but visible. OS... Emui. Not preferred one but... Hope Huawei put ipdates regular at least. I also buy it for around 300$ so for that money is a go phone. Have things for improvement but who didn't?

  • Hi. This is actually pretty damm good! I understand it was a bit overpriced at lunch (around of 400 USD). But as a common trend in Huawei P and Mate lites, their prices goes down for around 100 USD couple months after release. Just bought mine 5 days ago at 300 USD!. And I gotta say, im extremely satisfied with this phone. - Kirin 710 its such a big improvement (although kinda behind SD 710) over Kirin 659 which was an average SOC (with just Cortex A53 cores), the Cortex A73 cores in the new Kirin 710 makes such a big difference. Phone is butter smooth with those 4gb of RAM and Kirin 710 and gaming performance its very very good (impressed by the Mali G51 mp4) - Screen its amazing, way better than many mid range phones, no complains about it (perhaps a bit extra brightness?, still good brightness tough) - 64GB internal storage for 300 USD? Really Nice!, Pixel 3 XL gives you the same for 800 USD - Cameras are way better than expected for the price! Crispy and detailed, and kind of ok at night (for the price), also bokeh mode in Selfie Mode, works wayyy better than expected (At 1st I thought that Huawei just slapped dual front facing camera because so) - Also the design looks and feel way premium (and slippery too) - And of course Battery Life!, AMAZING, phone can last a day and a half with a moderate usage, and a full day with a extremely intensive usage. No complains, if you buy for 300 USD as I did, DO IT! You will not be disappointing.

  • When the hell will be updated to emui 9 pie? So many devices already have it. What a Huawei doing?

  • Yes

  • Performance, pretty much like Snapdragon 821. Smooth animations and scrolling. Didn't notice laging or freezes. Seems good midrange chip who helps also for great battery life. To me downside is Huawei software. That phone hardware plus stock android will be muuuuuuuuch beter experience. Hope for some devs love later. Will be like elixir for the phone. Overall good gadget.

  • After some use with the mobile, I have to say, the camera is pretty good, did a photo-shoot yesterday and the photos came out great. Also tried the pro options and did a few changes and it got better, of curse you need to change the pro settings according to multiple features like light, type, etc. battery endurance is very good even doe it has only 3750mAh even playing a lot (brawl stars) I finished the day with around 25% - 30%, good work on battery management from the OS. overall I would give a 7 - 8 stars in quality - price ratio. Still I need more time to check the device, one down side on the camera is nigh mode, nothing that can't be fixed.

  • Didn't agree with that. Camera is not crap at all. Its a good camera for phone that cost around 300$. I use this phone 2 months now and very satisfied. Yeah P20 is better, but is much more expensive. For the money Mate 20 Lite is rock. People says Honor 8x is good, so Mate 20 Lite is even better Usb C and eis in camera.

  • I suggest you get the P20 ,no debate bra , mate 20 lite is not a good enough phone for the price , camera is crap

  • this phone is amazing for 320EURO but the GPU is not that good 22000 antutu score snapdragon 660 31000

  • Idk why you say camera is bad. In mine opinion camera is good. On day light takes great photos. Yeah on low light strugles but its normal for cheap phone. Video on 1080/30fps is stabilized and with good quality. Overall im pretty satisfied of the phone. Great display. Good speed. Nice camera. Exellent battery life. For less than 300$ Happy with this buy.

  • Actually i wanna only about back vamera

  • Nova seems to be better not only for camera, but in general.

  • Need suggestions, Which has better back camera. Nova 3 (it is 3 not 3i) or Mate 20 Lite?

  • does it have facial recognision to unlock ??

  • Huawei website says it's support aptx and aptx HD connection.

  • Does it have aptX bluetooth? could someone verify?

  • I have tested this phone thru benchmark tests, and this phone have powerful CPU and GPU very close to snapdragon 820 but probably not good optimised.. third party apps doesn't run smooth specially Google apps

  • I have it for a 2 monts now... First was thinking that camera is ok but when compare with my wife Moto Z Play and with my nephew Moto G6, I realized that is not good at all. Idk what is the reason, but on their phonesnpictures looks much sharp and clear. For example when i shot my daughter face with both phones, mine and Z Play, when zoomed in eyes on Z Play is much detailed. Starting to regret that make decision to buy Huawei midrange.Better try other brand imho.

  • Hi. I want to buy this mobile but some comments have created doubt in my mind. Is Camera of this mobile is that bad?

  • Camera sensor is weak. Omni vision 20880. 1micron with 20mpx... Too many pixels for such a small sensor. Nowadays most of the phones used bigger sensors. 1.40-1.50 microns who captures whey more data and details. You can see that even flagship devices uses 12-16mpx sensors but with bigger sizes. Here Huawei put they're old trick to put numbers but not qualify. Thats why they will lose customers. Companies like Xiaomi and Vivo make more for same money. Matter of time.

  • Hello, I already did, and sound is let's say 10% better, but still not enough to beat my old HTC Desire 630. Sound is very low on maximum. I might go to my carrier and ask for the other one, but I am really perplexed why is the headphone volume that low.

  • Hey mate go to settings>sound>huawei histen sound effects>natural,is much louder or try another settings

  • Mono speaker is a joke, but even mi8 has only one. Awfuly absurd downgrade from old xperia z5. Camera is midrange, better than 3yrs old sony, but not that far. Overall very good midrange phone. But never mono speaker again.

  • turns out we didn't noticed message incoming.. phone works flawlessly xD

  • Has anyone experienced very low headphone volume. I can only say that I'm using good headph9nes which are expensive and work on other phones excellent. I did comparison with ky old HTC Desire 630 and the headphone sound on 630 is way better incomparable. Also I tried every settings that I could try. Any help, experiences or is it a factory problem?

  • Back camera is poor quality. No details. No sharpness. Hdr not working correctly. 20mp but only on paper. Images are soft. I compared it with Moto G5s, G6 and Mi A2. All of them have less mp's but make much more crisp and detailed photos. Hope from Huawei fix that problem. Dim screen on apps is another problem of this device.

  • No if you want better the p20 but if you want the new one you should take mate 20 lite

  • I like this phone but the proplem is it is not kirin 970 or 980 but the phone is so good

  • Only the brand Huawei is similar. P29 is a flagship one. Mate 20 LITE... LITE... Gi for P20 have more in any aspect.

  • I'm looking to either get the Huawei P20 or the Huawei Mate 20 Lite. From all the data it looks like they're very similar phones. What would you recommend me getting?

  • I suggest to buy a9 or s8 or s9 This Huawei Mate, its not water proof. Has no ANT+ And no barometer. If you do sports you will understand how important are the above thinks.

  • Hello, I have Samsung A5(2017),and I am very satisfied. it's time to change the phone. I'm interested in your opinion. whether to continue with one of the A series, or to take Mate 20 lite (I look at it at that price range). Thank you all in advance for the answer. Please little help 😊

  • Phone suddenly started ringing although none were calling and we couldn't turn the ringing off. Player displayed that nothing is playing and media sound is set to half way. This ringing was as loud as phone calls are set to. Had to restart phone to resolve. ( 3 days after buying) Any thoughts?

  • If you're having difficult what phone to plat GTA LC try the Pocophone it has Snapdragon 845 i am %100 guarntee you will play it smoothly

  • I think it's a good phone but the FM radio has a defect. The hands-free button used to switch stations does not work in the background after the phone is turned off or after using YouTube. It is fixed when a call comes in. Does the same thing happen to you?

  • We choose Mate 20 Lite...

  • Mate 20 lite, Samsung a7 or iphone 7?? Please help

  • Stock player can sort by Artist.

  • Got my Mate20 Lite, 7 days ago and absolutely loving it. Doubted it when I first bought it and thought I should have gone for the Pro, but I'm now happy. Only issue, i don't like the music player. Doesn't sort the music how I want it, especially by Genre. Maybe it just my lack of knowledge. Is there any player that I can download that that will sort by Artist (all song) not the different albums, and genre.

  • I can say this: quality at a lite phone.

  • Any idea how will GTA Liberty City stories run on this thing? Playing this game is the decisive factor for my choice of a phone.

  • A'ight, thanks.

  • Are you have screen dim in certain apps like Instagram, Facebook Chrome etc.? It's very annoying. Even I'm put auto brightness off, phone reduce screen tone in that apps. Wtf?!?!

  • I think its only China models.

  • I am from Bulgaria and I study in the Netherlands. In both countries I can only find the 4GB RAM version. Does anyone know where can I buy the 6GB one?

  • If I remember correctly Huawei P20 is suppose to compete with Samsunge S9 so I think that is better than the other models you are considering but I have no idea about the quality of Hauwei.

  • Got my mate 20 lite 2 days ago. Not disappointed it has alot of flagship features for a mid range phone. Definitely doesn't feel mid range in your hands. Some of my favorite pros: *cameras perform well; massive screen doesn't compromise pixel density and bright ; fast not visual lagging; AI and Emui features. Cons: back camera bumps; screen notch too large.

  • I'm trying to decide between a Iphone 7 (because its cheaper than other iphones) / Samsung galaxy A7 / Huawei Mate 20 lite?

  • In my opinion mate 20 lite

  • Mate 20 lite or P Smart +

  • Nova 3i Nokai X7 Mate 20 lite Samsung Galaxy A7 Which one is better?

  • Rank these phones please according to which is better: Nova 3i Nokai X7 Mate 20 lite Samsung Galaxy A7 Which one is better?

  • OIS or EIS on this phone?

  • On first question... Nokia 7 plus. But if you want only between this 3 that you mentioned... Mate 20 Lite for me is best. On second question. Have notification led between front camera and earpiece grill. Dont have aways on display.

  • Yes, the mate 20lite has a led notification. Mate 20lite is better overall imo, only 2 things where the A7 is better that it has a brighter display and probably a better camera.

  • I bought this mobile today, and so far I'm very satisfied, it's fast, the camera is actually very good, and I like the big 6.3"screen, the build quality is also top notch. My only dissapointment is that the screen is not bright enough, it's hard to read outside in sunlight. I could choose between this and the A7(2018) at my mobile service provider, the A7 build quality felt a little cheap in my hands and no fastcharging, but it had a much brighter screen so if this is important to you choose the A7. I hope I won't regret my decision in the long run though.

  • Which phone is better regarding the camera and battery and overall of course...Samsung A7, A6+ or Huawei Mate 20 lite ? also, does the Huawei Mate 20 lite have a LED notification display?

  • Poco have better spec's, but i dont like the build quality. To me feels cheap in hand. Thats why i pick up a Mate 20. Its personal needs i guess.

  • maybe because with the dual sim the second one is a hybrid slot which allows micro SD but with a single sim theres a dedicated slot

  • Is the Mate 20 lite's camera better than the Huawei Nova 3?

  • Need advice: this pos or poco?

  • Hey all, in my country (Bulgaria) the single sim option is more expensive than the dual one. Why is that? Any ideas? The dual variant is more problematic?

  • Aoa, brother i want to buy this phone. Whats the price in pakistan? Has it been launched in Pakistan?

  • Have it for 3days. For now very happy with it. Most impressed by the battery life. Great job. SoT aways between 7 and 9hrs. Camera quality is ok to me Not excellent not bad. Build quality is great. But put it on case immediately. Sound is a bit flat to my taste but it is what it is... Nothing to worry about. Major down side to me is display. Yes is huge but not enough bright. Especially outdoors. Mine biggest concern is Huawei software support. Hope to receive at least one major Software update. Overall feeling is above good for me. Hope to be like that in future.

  • it is launched by the way.it has been launched worldwide.

  • Nice

  • I would buy Mate 20 lite for sure.

  • Huawei mate 20 lite or huawei p10? which one is better?

  • Honor 8x or Mate 20 lite?

  • Need suggestion. Huawei Mate 20 Lite or Nokia 7.1 Plus (Nokia x7)?

  • Where I live it is being updated already.

  • if you do the math that's 20€ x24 months (2 years) = 480€, + 200€ upfront, so 680€ total, when the recommended price is around 300€ it doesn't sound like a very good deal at all...

  • for the first time i bought a Huawei device, the Mate 20 lite and paid 400€, just learn they won´t update it to Android P...Huawei never again

  • A carrier offers me a deal where I pay 200 euros for the phone, and then I pay 20 euros monthly for two years. Is it an attractive offer?

  • mate 20 lite!!!!!

  • Maybe you should stop buying these budget phones then huh.

  • i dont know

  • MAte 20 lite or Honor 10????

  • Mate 20 Lite

  • what is better huawei mate 20 lite or motorola moto g6 plus urgent help

  • Norway

  • Please, I need to know where Mate 20 Lite Lunched ? At which Country Lunched ???

  • I was also debating, whether to get Samsung A 7 ( 2018), or Mate 20 Lite. Went for Mate 20 Lite at the end, mainly because price was around the same ( long time Samsung user here, J7 Pro was my most recent one). I am using it for a week and so far, it is working quite well. Camera in Auto mode isn't that special however, with manual adjustments or a bit RAW editing, you can fine tune that pic to look like it was made from more expensive phones ( aka, much better quality than Auto) . As for the rest : Screen is good, UI is snappy ( as soon as you remove some bloat) , battery life is excellent , loudspeaker is solid, a lot of customizable options, phone feels premium in hand, fast charging isn't the fastest one around, but it gets the job done ( from 8% to 91 in around 1h 20 minutes or so) ... In conclusion : Nice and well balanced mid-range phone, that certainly has the feeling and customization of a high end one. I can't say much about gaming, since I don't play games on mobile phones however, if that is what you do, Honor series are probably a better choice.

  • Mate 20 Lite of course as per price of both phones in Pakistan, Mate 20 Lite delivers and is even cheeper.

  • According to your opinion which one has a better camera? Mate 20 lite or Mi Mix 2? I already own Mi Mix 2 but I'm not satisfied with its camera.

  • Huawei mate 2018 lite or Samsung A7 2018

  • Thanks mate!

  • No, the Xiaomi Mix 2 is a better phone still. Just wait for the Mix 3 or something, because the Mate 20 lite is a downgrade from the Mix 2 since the 20 lite is a mid ranger.

  • mate 20

  • mate20 lite

  • Should I replace my Mi Mix2 with Mate 20 lite? What do you think? I know, kirrin 710 instead of the SD835 but it's a new model and I really like the 6,3" display.

  • Mate 20 lite or Samsung galaxy A8?

  • you can find for sale in ebay now available

  • It's launched. I could have bought it here 1-2 weeks ago (can't remember exactly). But I talk about the gsmarena samples, the daylight samples are horrible, with ugly blotchy artifacts on solid colors (the sky mainly). Also, not very sharp, muddy images... The 16 mpx old sensor is way better. The Poco F1 is even better. Well, most phone cameras are better. The f1.8 is the only advantage...

  • How can you say that as it is not officially launched yet in the market.

  • Don't know what to buy: Honor10, Xiaomi Mi8 or Mate 20 lite?? Is Mate 20 Lite different from P20 or P20 Lite?

  • The main one is the worst, the sensor gives bad artifacts, blotches on solid colors, etc... It looks excellent on the paper, but in practice is horrible

  • see before you say

  • when will be available at Egypt ?

  • Phone has really mediocre camera. 4 cameras are nothing more than a marketing gimmick.

  • Buy*

  • I Need This Mobile Phone in Saudi Arabia This is amazing Features Phone How i Buy This Phone in Saudi Arabia and How Much Price

  • Good phone, don't have it but good. Bye it.

  • dear friends, I am waiting to get this phone, it's amazing smart phone in cheaper rates.

  • AHEM Different processor which means better battery life AHEM....

  • p20 .

  • Its good , but i can buy it if thay price more 300 $. Becuse HUAWEI is very ship company

  • P20 ,mate 20 is essentially just a bigger p20 lite

  • Mate 20 Lite or P 20 ?

  • what the price it has?? what is the difference between it and Y7 prime phone?? what would be the final price of it?? it would be full warranty or of few moths????

  • honor 10 as it has kirin 970 which is better than mate 20 lite's kirin 710 and it also have 8gb ram as compared to mate 20 lite

  • No no I'm not interested thanks >:(

  • No IP Rating, No buy

  • Should i buy honor 10 or mate 20 lite?

  • No Gorilla Glass, no buy.

  • So they abandoned Gorilla Glass, then Leica lenses, but the prices are still the same or higher. I guess Xiaomi is the new Huawei, Huawei is becoming more like the other expensive brands. But it's not only about the lenses, which are soft, the sensor is also very bad quality, noisy, blotchy, worst I've seen in a very long time on a phone.

  • Mate 20 lite is non leica lenses camera. Im doubful about the camera and Mate 10 pro far better ... its confusing me where latest version of Mate model should be better.. the new the better but its wrong!

  • Honor play. Honor 8x.mate 20 lite . Which is best

  • The camera samples are a disaster, low contrast, blotchy, worse than most phones (even cheaper ones). The comparison tool also show it. Some reviewers praise the camera though. I'm confused. The 16mpx f2.2 in the Honor Play and other Huawei phones is much better in daylight and the Pocophone yet even better.

  • huawei honor play more better

  • which is best? for gaming and browsing and faster nova 3i or Huawei mate 20 lite?

  • How can a pun this expensive not be water resistant? O3O

  • This shit of a phone. I had it for 1 week testing for local telekom. The headphone jack is soo poor that i could belive the sound could be so bad. Checked with multiple headphones. AI is garbage, only good for instagram THOTS, u need to disable everything and get into pro mode to get usefull results. Graphics doesnt work in 8/10 games, dont buy for gaming. In 2 games that did work i got crazy artifacts.

  • Internal Memory Should have 128GB variant and also have Separate SD CARD Slot

  • A wee bit pricey, but that will be lowered after a few months

  • makes you think if this is the mate 20 lite... what will the pro be like?

  • Does it support nfc

  • Yes it is embedded within the earpiece

  • Not even aptX? unbelievable.

  • This phone has a notification led ?

  • 400euros and no IP67/68 rating? O3O

  • this device is sometimes realy laggy. special with the default mail-app. also the led is not that good enoigh ... for the ret 8/10

  • Yes, I got this, but is there a limitation of the slo-mo video time-length???

  • But the prices vary on different regions because of tax, like 50 to 100 euros difference for all brands. -,-

  • bro next month in 40

  • You can only use slow-mo in 720p

  • The Mate 9 was amazing but I couldn't get one. I loved the sleek design. Which is the average on screen-on time you get? I get about 7-8 hours of Screen On time every day from my Mate 10 and 5 on my LG V30, both with screens at 2k quality and brightness ranging from 30 to 70% depending if I'm home or outside.

  • In which countries launched ande available?? And when will be launched in Pakistan.

  • Is there any time limit to the slo-mo videos, anyone knows?

  • Mate 20 Lite has better camera.

  • This or Honor Play, which one has a better camera???

  • You are the boss

  • Yes! tomorow i get my device (Netherlands) Now i have a mate 10 lite wich is a perfect telephone for me, but that one goes to my son, and i take the mate 20 lite.

  • Better than samsung midrange

  • still no giro ?

  • 2018 Samsung Huawei Apple LG and Sony phones are over priced ... I was lucky and bought my P20 for 360 Euro on a sale offer. I would never spend the 650euro they ask for it. Also the P20 lite is over priced and it's very poor in specifications. Mate 20 lite seems to be a nice phone but doesn't deserve the money the ask for it

  • good for you, 3 overpriced well marketed products. Huawei mate 20 lite for 400 euros in Europe. You can get a last year flagship, with better specs at the same price is a no brainer for a informed user. Guess people just wants the latest phone just because it's the latest..doesn't matter if it's worst than already existence phones. If it's new it must be better right?

  • I own a P9 Lite yesterday a an 18 ton truck drove over it and it came out without a scratch, So Huawei products are of high quality. The Mate 20 is my next love...

  • You got it all sorted out.. ;)

  • Mate 20 Lite for my kid, Mate 20 for my wife, and Mate 20 pro for myself.

  • That camera design though... XD

  • nope :(

  • Mate 20 lite or honor play or nova 3?

  • Screen size is increased. But phone size is decreased as new phones comes with less bezel. Also, screen ration 18:9 instead 16:9

  • Not impressive under "P" tagline.

  • I think 420 € is a bit too expensive, it should be about 375 €

  • its have gyro eis or not?

  • That does not come with 6GB of ram, it only has 4GB.

  • Do we really need four cameras on a phone ? I would prefer a front flash and stereo speakers...

  • This phone has the same size as the huge S9+...Phones are getting bigger every year. With so many new phones, why not a small one ?

  • honor Play looks better than this :(. Looks like an old fone. Its better to go for honor play or Honor Note 10.

  • Gorilla glass????

  • i had an android one device , trust me , Launcher isn't just enough , menus as well , like when u go to settings and so on looks boring too , those things can't be changed by launcher :D

  • Good thing Huawei allows us to use 3rd-party launchers!

  • Use nova launcher. Enjoy pure android with nice UI

  • Another phone without ois, eis? Why?

  • Nokia stock android is boring. This phone is better.

  • no unlockable bootloader = no buy = bye

  • Go get the Nokia 7+, it is 350$, it has a better dual camera with 2x optical zoom, no notch and a clean Android experience!!!

  • Make the base price 250-260 euro or it will be beaten by Pocophone F1 very badly.

  • It's a good looking phone, the back looks like the Mate 10 Porsche Design.

  • Yes

  • For 400 euros people can buy Honor note 10. Better specs and battery

  • Soo the mate 20 lite will be presented before Mate20 and 20Pro... ?? Who can confirm this info ?

  • IP68? :(

  • It was good not until pocophone f1 appeared.

  • Huawei mate 20 lite is going to be a perfect midranged smartphone.

  • Kirin 710 will use on many Huawei, honor brand on future.Price will be RM799 to RM999.For ppl no need more strong camera function.

  • Perhaps the honor 8x will also look like this with just a little twist.

  • All this specs and its the lite version then what about pro version :D

  • nowadays, every phone that's coming out has nothing like some kind of innovation. Just overcrowding the market with smartphones which are very similar in terms of specs and even hardware too. I think this year we're not going to see any kind of innovation in smartphones works rather copycat each other

  • Another 20k phone for Indian market.

  • Oh Huawei, no 4K video for Kirin 710 too? all the midrange chipset of Qualcomm snapdragon can do 4K video recording why Huawei?

  • Agreed, love my Mate 9 Pro

  • Good phone.. Wish it would have NFC, and/or infrared

  • Not much difference to a nova 3.... Hopefully we get to see the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro soon

  • i have nova 3i, beside my mate 10. same screen size, same soc, battery only 3340mah, it is ok. Daily,my wife can get nearly 8 hours sot with 24 hours standby before left with 10%. expect better with bigger battery. performance wise, more or less sd660, p60, battery consumption wise, better than her previous oppo f7 p60 3500mah, which around 6 hours sot, 24 hours standby. all with single sim, 4g mobile data always on.

  • Actually, the battery suits well for the display. Don't expect Huawei to slap a Lite series with 4k mah battery dude... Or somehow in the future...

  • Hmmm... No 4K even for Kirin 710? Pfff. A9 Star please?

  • It will be better if he has k970 because he has a good size

  • wow looks very nice. you people dont have passion for looks notch is the new thing now live with it

  • Bro.. check the processor... It's kirin 710 which is very power efficient.. so for 6.3 inch 3600 will be sufficient...

  • Directly buy oppo f7 youth,Redmi note 5 AI,or others better than this model.

  • damn that back looks ugly in the picture, not sure how it will look irl

  • WOW, my long awaited phone is landing very soon on the market am happy. It has almost everything we need but only the camera did not state the aperture which is very important to us. I think I like the design that looks like mate 9 Porsche.

  • All is good But Why use 6.3 " display in lite version?? what a value of 2MP for depth sensor?? Battery only 3600mAh for 6.3" display!???
