This is the worse technology product purchased I have ever purchased. Stay away from this tablet. To call it a medipad is a total joke. Good money just wasted. I am so disappointed. Will never support this brand again - I can just as well throw it in the bin. Useless, pathetic tablet - stay away!@

its just horrible. It took me even 20 mins to load this page, I wonder how long I will wait to post comment. Sometimes u wait for several minutes to load an app to do something basic and after loading it says "app not responding" and crashes before ur very eyes. A lot of times I just feel like smashing it against a wall. Myself and some friends who had this tab cannot just use it, really frustrating

Hello. My tablet was normal throughout the day, use it as usual. He was using as usual and suddenly turn off sen (someday already happened that) and wait for it to renda again but it takes 1 hour and still does not turn on. Yes, it can work on 2G. You can use it for calls but only using internal speaker or a handsfree device. It doesn't have a regular speaker like other phones.

I don't know why you are all complaining about the battery??? My battery is just fine. Someone wrote that battery last 2.5h playing videos... Not true. With mid brightness and turned off wifi and 3G you can watch 3 2hours movies without any problems... I'm much more satisfied with mediapad then with my previous samsung p1000... Much better tablet from every angle... The front camera is usable only by the daylight.

My only advice don't buy this piece of crap. Its slow, heavy, very poor battery performance wont last for 2 hours internet usage and games. Normal use need charge twice a day. Facebook very slow even not smooth scrolling, touch visual keyboard not good and lots of typo error, very uncomfortable to hold and type very tiring. EVEN at low price is not worth the time for this crap!

I had this Huawei Media pad 3 months ago. it is working good i did not experience for any problem with this tab i done already for updates up to SP19 it was released by Huawei 24 April. now all my application is transferred to my SD card not like previous that you cannot transfer your application to your SD card.the only thing is the battery only 3 hours specially if are connected to the internet. We hope Huawei Company can make something to improved the battery life of their Tablet and mobile phones. generally Huawei Tablet is Good.

Before my huawei i have some tablet 2look with little battery capacity 2100 mAh and I can use longer or much longer worked on him! Today on mediapad 7 lite its very short! I think there is a problem with the processor/graphics chip of my mediapad lite because whenever I do multitasking or even loading some websites, suddenly the tablet will crash with garbage display and then hang and sometimes it just restarts instantly. I think the cause of this problem was the power loss that lasted for 3 seconds when my tablet was charging. I am not sure if the sudden return of electricity damaged my tablet.

Been using this tablet for a month. Upgraded to the latest firmware provided by huawei. I have so much problem with its battery life, it can only last for 2.5hrs. I just hope a new upgrade will be released soon to address the battery life. 4Hrs would have been enough for a tablet. Sigh!

REGARDING THE NEW UPDATE FOR MEDIAPAD 7 LITE - I UPGRADED MY MEDIPAD WITH THE LATEST FIRMWARE FROM THE HUAWEI OFFICIAL SITE. IT WAS FINE AND SIMPLE. MAJOR IMPROVEMENT ON BATTERY DRAIN AND WITH FRONT CAMERA ISSUES. THE FRONT CAMERA SHOWS 50% MORE PERFORMANCE. SO NOW IT IS POSSIBLE TO USE FOR VIDEO CHAT AND SKYPE. HOW TO UPGRADE : 1. Go to the above link. 2. Download the archived file to a computer. 3. Format one 4 GB SD Card in FAT32 system. 4. Copy the "dload" folder to the root of the SD Card. 5. Backup all your Apps, Datas(contacts, messages, pics, videos etc) to another SD Card. (Never backup to the same SD Card with the "dload" folder. 6. Power off your tablet and insert the SD Card having "dload" foler and switch on as normal. 7. The tablet may restart for two times and will show the animated Andoroid green emblem on the screen. 8. Be patient for some minutes. Never touch, power off or press the power switch before asked to do the same. 9. After 3-4 minutes the tablet will show a bing "OK" in green colour in the screen. Then pull out the SD Card and power off the tablet with pressing the power button for a while. 10. Turn on the tablet as usual. (Never forget to remove the SD Card from the tablet before turn ON.) Now your table is upgraded and ready to use. You can conform the upgradation by checking the firmware build number on the "About Tablet" tab in the settings menu. If the last digits for the build number ends with SP018 or SP18, you can conform your tablet upgraded. Follow steps as usual for using tablet.

There is a new update again released on the 13th of this month or March 2013, Huawei says it is directly meant to address the battery issues If u Page Back in this Forum U will note that I posted on The Update That Huawei released On February Which Changed The Interface And Made It More Intuitive And Really pleasing On The Eye, Now One month Later Huawei Has Released another One. It Is Sp18 (service pack 18) and The Last one was Sp13, You will note this When U Go To Settings>about Device>software Version Or Build Number towards The End you Will See either Sp13 Meaning You Are Still On The old Update Or Sp18 meaning you Are on The Latest Update. Any other Sp Below These Means you have not Updated At All Or You Are Still On The Stock ROM, Ran My Second Update Yesterday Which Took Me from sp13 To Sp18, Will Give Feedback On The Battery Life After The Update Still Have to test It First. For The Latest update Google Huawei Device Updates, Select The First Link Which Should Take you To The Huawei Website, Click On Support Then Software Downloads, It Is Currently The third On That list Of Updates And Is 451MB Big, If You Read Its Description It will Tell You Somewhere That It reduces Power Consumption. mines is still 4.0.3 but with less bugs then the older version, if u look at the firmware version on settings >> about tablet you will see that it's now changed slightly from the older version SP3 vs SP13

Ok Maboalm this is how u do it, first step go to this website: wo...tid=NDcwNjk= . and download the 448.76MB file, it is actually a zip file, unzip it and inside that zip file you will find a folder called update, open it and inside the folder update you will find another folder called dload. the dload folder contains 3files a pdf file with instructions on how to install the firmware, unlmt and update.app. please confirm that you have these 3files on the folder called dload. I was not happy with the instructions they were not clear because of the English used (not that I am a better English speaker) and so I will help you here to ease the process, cut the pdf file and paste it on your PC desktop (it will help or guide you during the process, so that u may see if u going on the correct direction). once this is done u should have two files left inside the folder dload which is unlmt and update.app. now copy the dload folder that is inside the update folder and paste it into a micro SD card that is empty and formatted to a FAT file system please double check that your microSD card has FAT file system use your tablet to format it if u are not sure it normally formats to FAT, and most important the microSD card must be atleast 4GB or more anything less may not be enough to complete the update and lead to update failure. once formatted(FAT) copy the folder called dload into your micro SD card, and remember only the dload folder, dont copy the whole update folder but just the dload folder inside it, once done open your microSD card and check that you have the dload folder with two files inside it which are unmlt and upadate.app. now your ready to go remove your microSD card, and backup your sms, contacts, and applications that you currently have in your tablet. NB. you might need an extra microSD card to do this, download these two applications sms backup and restore plus app backup and restore in the play store they will help u a lot with backing up your apps plus sms, save all your data on that extra micro sdcard. and please don't use the microsd card that u are going to use to update the firmware with for app backup,sms,contact,pictures, music backup. have an extra one for that like I said used two separate microSD cards one for updating firmware which will have dload folder only and the other one for your data backup(optional) don't forget to save your contact to your sim card also because you will loose everything that is currently on your tablet after the firmware update. when done with backups ensure that your tablets battery has atleast 60% power or rather plug it to power(not PC but directly to a power plug) during the update process. now switch your tablet off, remove the sim card and micro sdcard that has your backups, and then with your tablet in the off state or switched off insert the microSD card with the firmware update (dload folder) and switch it on the update process will start automatically with the green android robot appearing in your screen, please do not touch your tablet during this process, it will also do some auto restarts during the process don't worry its normal just leave it until you get a big and green OK or upgrade successful on your screen then remove your update microsd card. just follow the instructions manual to see the screens you should be getting. after updating u will have the best out of this tablet, with good battery life, and a good looking interface plus some speed. goodluck Maboalm please reply back if you having trouble, I will be happy to assist.

like I said in my last post, I have updated my tab to the latest and official firmware recently released by Huawei. here is a verdict, the Tab has improved dramatically. firstly the battery life has improved enormously by atleast 45%, I played with the Tab for about 4hours after the update with heavy use I must say and still had more battery backup left. The display has also improved with more clarity, the colours look more accurate and are not washed out. there is less pixels and more clarity, and the lagging has been reduced in a big way. the interface is still the same but Huawei has done some improvements and changed some Icons to make it even nicer. the display is really wonderful with this update, Huawei has really done some good work to redeem themselves hear. the one sad part though is that this will always be a single core enabled tab which will still have problems. but this was a good update, cant wait for the next one. so go on and update urs its an easy 16minutes job.

I can't wait to update mine and just to try and match it up to my galaxy tab2. please do remember to backup all your data before doing a firmware update, including your applications, sms, contacts to your sdcard. remove both your simple card and sdcard or memory card before you start the up dating procedure. ensure d that u have the correct USB drivers for your device. you can obtain these on the huawei website...

Nice tab, good built quality, and a reasonable price.. but my goodness the battery life is unacceptable even for an entry level tab. you cannot have a battery running dry from 100% to 32% just by switching into 3G and using it for barely half an hour. wifi just slashes the battery by 20% in barely 5min so as bluetooth takes it down by 15% in 10min. have tried all tweaks to save the battery, tuning brightness down, lowering volume , keeping bluetooth/3G/wifi off when not in use and you name it.. gaming also kills the battery too quick. I mean at 4100mah surely it should outlast my galaxy tab2. I have both of them, and my tab2 at 4000mah lasts almost forever with heavy use. maybe the last option is to root my mediapad and tweak it via setcpu etc. either than the poor battery life this is a good tab, and reasonable performance for a single core CPU. I give it 4\5..

I bought it in Thailand before Christmas last year. I am happy with the product. The salesperson told me not to let the battery drain below 20% and should recharge it not below that point. If it is down to 0%, the battery won't recharge at all. If somebody knows the above info, please enlighten me.

the tab is extremery gr8 its almost same as galaxy tab 2 as i owe both of them i hardly notice any difference that media pad is cheap ........ Yeah but the extra money paid for samsung wuld buy u extra internal storage space so media pad lags behind in storage capacity ....... Also the problem with ICS is that the apps downloded can not be transfered to the memory card ...... Ill rate this tablet as 8/10

It has Kingsoft Office, which isn't only a Excel reader but allows editing as well. I've never tried, but I'm sure it opens word documents as well, It offers creat blank Word, Memo, Spreadsheet and Presentation.

it is worth it, i have one and the browsing on Wi-Fi is very good. the quality of browsing or data usage on a cell network is dependent on your provider and how good they are. processing and running multiple apps works fine. screen resolution is great, i love it... i can watch anything on it and i'm happy with the clarity i get. it comes with everything you need already loded +more. google play store, facebook app, twitter app, bookmarked sites, e-reader, planners. the memory card and sim slot are a big plus. and the volume is loud enough for anything you want to watch.

Not enough 3G frequencies. What about HSDPA 850 for Australia. It nothing to do this so manufacturers sure just do the 4 3G frequencies from the beginning. Cannot buy for this reason.
