Canvas A72 getting irritating to me Display is going off, in the othe caller disconnects frst, and will back after 2 or 3 or 5 min While charging, if we power off..or power on..... phone will dead, ....will back only once after removing the battery out and again re-insert it.... My A70 touch is not working fine, when i touch below, the upper icon got selected, means the touch is working reverse, need upper area touch for menu and setting etc. I had gone to service center but they told that the touch part of A70 is not available, even the part is also not available in open market, So don't ever buy Micromax brands. the poor service experience as well as poor hand on exp.

i used this mobile from 2 years.first 1 year its work good.ofter it create problems... every one say this... i am going to help ... how you can use one more year??? touch screen woks like mad... solve.like this way open ur mobile screen,,,, under the screen u see a paper with white rushes... remove it. 1.but ur bottom buttons does't work 2.some part of touch screen is does't work except this two things ur mobile is good???? ofter u face this problems 1.u can not unlock 2. does't answer phone call.. if touch screen works only half ***so first u need to install some apps . before remove the touch paper... 1.root ur mobile (very easy) 2.instal button savior(root) for back,option,home ... etc buttons 3.screen rotators(auto rotate all ways) 4.total call controller 5.virtual track ball 6.perfect key board 7.dw dailer select proper settings for each application then ur mobile works well.. if u can't do all this things just through it don't run to repair shops... finally u got sim insert problem... then it is useless...

It is worst experience. Battery just lasts for half day.. if you are not using internet 2g/3g it works while using whats up it just get turned off al of a sudden only way it turn it on is to remove and insert battery. People are just leaving with the android in phone it seems. basic requirements are not satisfactory like call. and messages are received multiple times even when the sender have sent it only once.

micromax have worst service centre. micromax phones are good but service is of z class. no management no customer feed back on top of that if your phone is in warranty they will say there is water in your phone or some other reason they will give and they will say it does not cover under warranty you have to pay for it.so my suggestion is you buy micromax phone without warranty you will get better service from any other local service centre and in cheaper rate then micromax and fast service also.

I've been the A70 for about a month now it has a solid design amd overall satisfactory performance but when I use Skype or Viber and talk for more than 10 minutes the phone heats up very quickly and shuts down completely and the only way to boot it again is to plugin the charger and remove and reinsert the battery.

GPS is fine as long as you have a open sky above you. For dust gathering under the screen, open the phone up guys and clean the screen, thats what they do at the service centre's too. bettery goes low when you watch youtube because it opens winamp too in the background.

I have been using this phone from last 10 months and since than it is working perfectly fine, I haven't faced any problem with this phone yet. Touch is great and battery back up is 3 days(in normal working) after 100% charging. Custom ROM is working fine. It is a good Andro phone in this budget.

I just checked the SAR rating of this phone on the official website (http://www.micromaxinfo.com/sar.php). It says: "The highest SAR value tested for this phone model is 0.890 W/kg @ 10 g." From what I see on the official website, it sounds healthy. I'm not an expert on SAR calculations, so if anybody has more info on this, please comment!

Micromax A70 works excellently... I have tried GPRS / 3g and WiFi and it works awesome with all three. perfect 3G speeds on a 3G network and same with WiFi. Have use it as a Hotspot to access its 3G internet via WiFi on my laptop. Have now rooted it with Z4Root and am using Link2SD to move all non-movable application to SD --- and it works like a charm... Note - You need to be technically sound to root your Android phone else you might end up turning it into a Brick....

Camera is decent, but could be better given it is 5MP. Buy a good set of earphones(in-ear) and the audio is crystal clear. lg optimus net,mmx a70,explorer all these mobiles have adreno200 gpu...so gaming is not a problem...but explorer has 600 MHz processor,where lg optimus net has 800 MHz processor,so net will be even faster than explorer...lg optimus net has 3.2mbps max 3g speed,if u want 7.2mbps max 3g speed u can think of buying lg optimus net duos with dual sim...but if u ask me i will suggest u to buy lg optimus net for rs8500

don't buy a70...a70 is almost 1yr old mobile,every day a new android mobile is launching with latest technology...besides Micromax company is not good,their service center are bad,u r fully aware of that coz u have a mmx mobile... well still I am answering ur questions... 1)a70 supports almost all apps and games for mid range android mobiles... 2)no,I am writing this comment from my a70 3)yes response is good as it has capacative touch screen...but during charging touch sometimes gives problem but I have heard it happens with many android mobiles,my sister has spice mi-350,it happens with her mobile also... 4)it has some problem in wifi and Bluetooth conclusion don't buy a70 for mainly bad service centers,bad mmx company not releasing kernel source codes---so no official and no unofficial update in android version stuck at 2.2,low ram compared to lg optimus net which has 512mb ram...

sorry dk for so late reply :) don't use hybrid or any custom rom...I have used those custom roms,they don't give good battery performance,according to me stock rom gives best battery performance...also hybrid hav some bug like installing some app like office apps gives problem...so I will advice u to stay in ur stock rom...flash transparent dialer and ics theme via cwm recovery...I will suggest u to flash boot.img used in custom roms using fastboot(if u dont know d procedure,I will give a tutorial how to fastboot later)...if u do it then u can avail adobe flash support in ur a70,so u can watch flash content as well as u can watch live streaming(watch live ipl matches using set max live app :p ) I will also tell u a trick to improve benchmark score and improve wifi performance in stock rom... u had asked me after flashing hybrid rom all ur apps were gone,basically u have to take backup of ur apps using titanium backup app,as u flash rom and do factory reset thatsy all ur apps were gone,so basically u have to restore apps using titanium backup :)

hello bunny,don't worry a70 has 2.2 android aka froyo,not 2.1...to confirm it,go to settings>about phone>android version,here u can see 2.2.1.... but unfortunately u can't update the android version of a70,root will not help u to update the android version,if ur mobile is rooted then u can use full potential of android...u can install very useful apps like titanium backup(using this app u can take backup of ur install apps & restore later if required),rom manager(using this app u can install clockworkmod recovery,take backup of ur rom etc),link2sd app(u can partition ur sd card and apps will be totally installed in ur sd card,u can install as many apps u like, no internal memory will be reduced)

I am using a70 since 7 months .. getting hanged, screen becomes black and unresponsive for that u hav to remove battery n again start .. some of the good features r there like nice screen display, camera, gaming. Go for good brand like Samsung, Nokia, HTC..

I am getting standby time of 7-8 days in Micromax A70 using setcpu app which set to powersave profile of 122MHz which is enough for most of the calling function except internet.. i also use Advance task manager to kill the unneeded apps once in 2 days to conserve power. @nill22 thank nill...the problem is solved...i removed the battery and left it for sometime and the inserted it again then it didnt directed me to mmx logo...then i got a chance to boot the phone into recovery mode by pressing vol button down and power button..then i again formatted the phone and installed the ics full update rom this time i was succeeded...and ur suggestions were really helpful...i again got my phone back because of ur suggestion..very thankful to u...but the rom is not that good...can usuggest me a good rom??? thank u once again..:)

no u don't need to reroot,I will suggest u to again flash cwm recovery using rom manager(give rom manager super user permission & make that remember) & try to backup ur rom again...I think it should solve ur problem...if still u have problem in recovery,then flash cwm recovery via fastboot technique...I have given steps how to flash cwm recovery via fastboot in my earlier posts...

dont backup ur current rom using rom manager,switch off ur mobile,press vol- & power button to boot into recovery,from recovery backup ur current rom,make sure u have free space in ur sd card coz ur backup size is normally more than 250mb...it take normally 5min to backup...

hmm...ok just another time try to boot into recovery...swich off ur mobile...vol- & press power switch...if u have successfully boot into recovery then good,restore ur backup...if u couldn't boot into recovery then u have to do fastboot to install cwm recovery... d procedure is.... 1)download--- 2)Extract the zip file to a folder of your choice. 3)Rename the downloaded recovery to "recovery5.img" and keep it in the extracted zip folder of CWM-A70 4)Turn off your mobile. 5)WHILE HOLDING THE CAMERA BUTTON, Connect the usb cable to the phone and PC(u need windows07 installed in ur pc) 6)switch on windows update make it automatic,go device manager and u should find android device,click on the troubleshoot in android device and download & install d driver of a70 mobile,basically 8.5mb file... 7)Open cmd prompt and cd to the directory of your extracted folder. Example: If have extracted to C:\CWM-A70, then type: cd C:\CWM-A70 8) type: fastboot-windows flash recovery recovery5.img 9) type: fastboot-windows reboot 10)if everything goes right u should install cwm recovery,so boot into cwm recovery & restore ur backup

have u installed clockworkmod recovery???using cwm recovery u can take backup...no basically it 5-10min to backup...switch off ur mobile...press vol- button + press power button to enter recovery then go to backup/restore then backup...it should not take that much time...go to this video to understand how to backup ur tom...

I think this is due to either low free ram or low internal memory...how much free ram & internal memory u have????to close unnecessary apps use fast reboot app...don't use any heavy launcher like go launcher...use light weight launcher like zeam launcher(best) or adw launcher...make sure u have moved all movable apps to sd card using app2sd,clear all cache(it also may a reason)...if u still have low internal memory then there r also process of all moving all user apps completely to sd card...I have many installed apps & games but I have 148mb free internal memory :)

finally i have successfully installed chain-fire 3d :D i was having some trouble installing cf3d...thatsy it take so long to reply.... so d procedure for installing cf3d is----- 1)u must be rooted & must have clockworkmod recovery...(to know how to root & install cwm recovery refer to my earlier post) 2)take a backup of ur system using cwm recovery so that if something goes wrong u can restore ur system... 3)download cf3d app+plugins from d link below... keep all plugins zips in ur sd card(dont extract d plugins,just keep them in ur sdcard root folder(root foler means in sdcard---dont create any folder in sdcard to keep those files)) 4)install ch3d app,open it,it may ask u for superuser permission so give it... 5)click on click on "CF3D DRIVER">click on "install using cwm recovery" d mobile will reboot... again after reboot open cf3d>click on "CF3D DRIVER">click on "install driver" again d phone will reboot now u have successfully installed cf3d but few steps are remaining to complete... 6)open cf3d,scroll down and select "install plugins/shaders" wait it scans your sd card and after scanning it shows 3 files namely i)libGLEMU_NVIDIA ii)libGLEMU_POWERVR iii)libGLEMU_QUALCOMM install all three of them by tapping on them 7) after that go to "default opengl settings" and select reduce texture quality,reduce texture size and in use plugin select qualcomm and go back to menu and hit market settings... u r done :) njoy gaming :)

I personally have the A78 and my dad has gifted 8 A70 to his employees after consent from me and that too after getting views from this forum. Dear Akshay, Don't bet on Micromax. Service of Micromax is really WORST. My A70 troubling since 2nd week of purchase and is with company for almost TWO MONTHS. With rapid changes in technology, if you can't use your phone for few months, what's use of spending on it? Think 2-3 times before making final decision. well use fast reboot app(download from market,better than mobile guard)to close all apps...how much free internal memory u have?move apps to sd card using app2sd app...use camera360 app to click better image...make sure u r taking pics at 5mp mode(coz initially by default it stays at vga mode)...if u still face problem i will advise u to do a factory reset(if needed i will tell u d procedure later)...d best launcher is zeam launcher..really li8w8..consume little ram...it also supports horizontal transparent app grid,take a look---

Hi guys, I have recently purchased A70 and there is an issue with it, the phone freezes and the screen goes blank if I try to click few pics. or listen to some music, I have tried closing applications using the mobile guard and the task manager but still the same happens and everytime i have to remove the battery and then put it back in to make it work. I don't think u need factory reset...just swich off mobile,removed ur sim card restart ur mobile after 2min...I think this should solve ur problem don't forget to enable data connectivity from wireless network :p to backup ur contact, go to contact> press options via touch buttons > import/export >export to sd card to backup ur installed apps u need to root,then install titanium backup from market, using this app u can take backup of ur apps & u can restore them later... but I don't know exactly how to backup msg :( i think in market some apps must be available... actually there is computer software like kies for Samsung which can backup ur personal data...

You can buy SGY with your eyes closed bcoz Samsung is a trusted brand. However if u would like to go for optimus net then you have to pay Rs 2000 more. But If u are a 3G user, I would suggest not to go for Optimus Net as its maximum speed is 3.6 Mbps. In recent months BSNL and other service providers may provide 3G speed exceeding 4-5 Mbps. In that case u will not get optimum speed. And if u plan to buy A70, i suggest you to buy TWO A70 phones so that you can use them alternatively when one of your A70 will go to service centre for 6 months minimum.

I am already rooted and tried setcpu...but setcpu didn't overclock cpu...600mhz is max frequency...by d way I have partitioned my sd card,now all apps can totally installed in my partitioned sd card...so lots of internal memory is free & I can install ne no of apps :) it also speeds up d mobile :)

install app2sd app from market & move all movable apps to sd cards & clear cache using d app...now check how much internal memory is available...if still it is low & u can't install apps.. install titanium backup (first u have to root :p ) & take backup of ur apps( so that u can reinstall them later,installing tb is optional,basically it helps to backup ur apps,even using tb u can move some apps like Google maps that can't be moved to sd card ) and export ur contacts to ur sd card & do a factory reset using recovery (factory reset removes all user apps & data only system apps will be there)...it should solve ur problem... :)

dear all, an appeal to avoid unestablished brand - micromax. micromax is only interested in sales and are having very poor service record. you may google it n see many complaints on service. for a single problem in my "a70" i had to register 5 complaints, call up 'n' number of times to service center & call center. nothing works. micromax claims that they provide urgent-special service to android phones customers, but i'm yet waiting for return of my handset even after 1.5 months. in case of any doubts, once visit any service center, get the feedback from customers and then make purchase decision. please save yourself... your money...avoid micromax. thanks nilesh

d process is little tricky...suppose ur default ringtone is tone1 & u want to set tone2 as ringtone for someone else...so first select d tone2 as ur ringtone,then again select ur previous tone1 as ur ringtone...now try to set ringtone for that contact & now u can set tone2 as ringtone for that person(now tone2 will come in d options along with preloaded tones),basically when u add any tone as ur ringtone from then onwards that tone will come as options along with other preloaded tones...

You cannot blame Samsung company for back button problem in your SGY. This problem is with your handset only. You can go to service center and have it repaired within a week. But you can blame mmx company for wifi problem which exists in each and every handset of A70.

@bichey...I do understand that u use this bad words to aware users about mmx company coz mmx is relatively a bad company compared to Samsung or LG & for that reason even I don't advice ne one to buy mmx products...but I was reading some complaints in consumerforum about Sony Ericsson service centers & I felt they r worse than mmx...d price of d sony errsn mobiles r too costly but even they were not giving aftersale service...recently mmx service centers have replaced two old faulty a70 with new a70 within a month(which has created a little trust in me about mmx service centers)...I am not supporting mmx coz still it is a bad company coz they lack at after sale services & also they r not releasing d kernel source codes...but I must say mmx company is manufacturing some good mobiles in low cost example A70 which is a really good mobile for 7k(wifi is not a big issue when u install custom roms,wifi reception is better in custom roms than stock rom )...but new customer be aware of mmx mobiles & add few extra money to buy a better mobile :)

Hi Everybody, I'm in trouble plz somebody help me, I have brought mmx a70 4month ago from MobileStore but now my phone's lower half touch is not working. When i goes to mmx service center in borivali(Mumbai). They said that i have already repair this mobile from outside repairing shop, coz my phone doesn't have any screw as well as any seal on screw hole as they claimed.But the thing is i never repair it. I am sure SANSUNG uses best quality hardwares & tweaks the codes in OS in such a way that optimum Internet speed is received. @bunty...r u using 3g in ur galaxy y???I didn't knew lg optimus net has max 3.6mbps speed,but actly in mobile normally we get on average 600-700kbps download speed in 3g,I don't use 3g so I shouldn't talk about this but as per my knowledge(I can be wrong also) no one get 7.2mbps download speed,I think 3.6mbps is good...so one -ve point in lg optimus net...but lg optimus net has 512mb ram,adreno200 gpu for better gaming performance,480x320 resolution, 3.2inch screen, 3.15 autofocus camera,1500 mah battery...so no doubt lg optimus net is d best buy within 10k budget with 6 +ve points over galaxy y and only one -ve point 3.6mbps max 3g speed... :)

factory reset should solve ur problem...but factory reset will remove all apps just system apps will be there,all contacts will be lost,ur mobile will just become like new..so take backup before doing factory reset...export ur contacts to sd card,so u can retain ur contacts later... to do factory reset----- 1)switch off ur mobile 2)hold volume down button + power button 3)now u will enter into android recovery & an android logo will come,now click camera button 4)now few options will come,there select factory reset option...use volume buttons to navigate & use power button to select factory reset...give some time when everything is done then do reboot...its done :) it should solve ur problem... :)

do u know bichey, when i went to mmx service center(bhubaneswar,odisha) for minor track ball problem wid my q75 they placed another trackball. when they open my cell and put that track ball there was some dust placed inside my display. which can see and make me feel ugly in sun light. when i told them about that they replied me have u ur handkerchief ? i said why ? they again replied for clean ur phone's inside. it made me think that i did a mistake by go for mmx

Dell xcd35 is also a good option but it has a very high resolution screen of 400*800 pixels resolution on only a 600 mhz processor .The processor has to push many more pixels on the screen than A70's HVGA(320*480) screen.It affects the performance of dell xcd35.Due to this many times dell xcd35 lags even on simple commands and doesn't perform well.Many times apps refuses to start and many apps crashes often.But that's not the case with A70.All apps runs perèctly.Also autofocus of a70 is compared to dell xcd35.Many times dell xcd is unable to focus properly.A70 has a good and continuous autofocussing.Also HVGA resolution is very good at this price value.DELL xcd35 has a 512MB of ram but there no advantage of this high ram on slow 600mhz processor having high resolution screen(overweighed than its capacity as in xcd35)

Bunty, go with LG Optimus Net if your budget is ~10K as NIL said or Galaxy Y if budget is ~7K. But dont go with XCD as many complained that its battery gets heated up during normal ph use or during charging. Also, it has very high screen resolution but only 600 MHz processor. So lags may appear.

As i see many new a70 users, I am giving A70 battery improvement & optimization tips... :) 1>always keep ur mobile switch off during charging,it gives better battery performance & keeps battery's health better... 2>use fast reboot app...when u start ur mobile u will see android os has opened lots of unnecessary apps,they kill ur ram & battery,even mobile guard app cant kill all this apps...so use fast reboot app..really a light app & very useful..really saves a lot of ram & battery...i use both fast reboot app & mobile guard app widget..this 2 app helps a lot...u can also go to settings>application>running app & there force stop map,market,netquin antivirus (when u r using them)...they waste ur battery & ram...always before switching ur screen off use fast reboot app...it take only 1sec to optimize ur mobile...also u can use es task manager to stop unnecessary apps to start at boot.. 3>use Zeam launcher(highly recommended)...i hav tried many launchers starting from default lancher to launcher pro,golauncher ect..but i hv found Zeam launcher is very good...very light launcher but gives u d power of customization...really saves a lot of ram & battery...my standby battery life has improved a lot afer using zeam launcher... if u follow above mention 3 points u will see better battery life & more ram will be available... 4>if u r not using wifi,gprs,gps then keep them off... 5>to take better pictures use lgcamera or camera360 apps...make sure u have focused well coz when u halfpress d camera button it does focus & when u press it further then it takes d picture... :)

Am using Wifi Tethering of Galaxy Y with my Laptop and amazed with its performance. If the mobile is in the ground floor, I can access internet in the 3rd floor. What a performance.... But u see in MMX A70.... The A70 shud have eye contact with Laptop :P(ie there shud not be any wall in between) and shud be placed very near to the Laptop for wifi to work correctly. Yeah LG Optimus is good, but the after sale service of LG is not upto the mark. Samsung in this case is much better. Also DELL XCD35 is having battery problem. Many complained that during charging the battery gets too much heated. Also as the screen resolution is very high and the processor speed is low, i don't think it will perform good.

it is true that galaxy y has greater processor than a70 but a70 has a big and better resolution screen than galaxy y.also a70 has a very good 5mp camera than galaxy y's 2mp.also a70 has a bigger screen in which you can type easily but not on galaxy y ddue to its small screen.the biggest downside of galaxy y comparing to a70 is that galaxy y doesn't have gpu whereas a70 has adreno 200 gpu.it is the same gpu in a70 that is also in some high end devices like galaxy ace and nexus one.hd games are easily playable in a70 but not on galaxy y.an android device lose all of its charm if it doesn't have gpu ,the same case is with galaxy y.i have experienced both my a70 and my friend's galaxy and i experienced that a70 is a way better than galaxy y in overall aspect.also galaxy y has automatic sd card removing problem .i bought a70 5 months ago and now also it is working like a charm as it is working on the first day i bought it.i am a heavy gamer and used to play lot of hd games daily but there is no lag in the device till now.

Front screen useful, if you know how and what application can be installed to be used with it. its a android so it can be customized. 5 MP camera, beautiful pics even in broad daylight, not good enough in dark, but obvious because of absence of flash for camera. Why r u guys worried about the quadrant scores, it does not matter as long as you can customize and bend it to your requirements. Samsung Y has a bad qvga screen, pathetic. overclock your A70, it works at 750 MHz much better than ur Y.

I own both of these devices If you want to compare A70 with galaxy y, Galaxy Y has 800 mhz processor vs a70's 600 mhz Galaxy Y's camera can take better pictures under low light conditions @ 2MP but A70's camera blows it if shot in good lighting.. like in day time Video capture, A70 wins VGA (A70) vs QVGA (Galaxy Y) A70 has 320 by 480 res screen vs Galaxy Y's 240 by 320 Screen res is very important, dont neglect it.. i m having a hard time typing a message on my Y but i can do the same quite easily on my A70.. A70's loudspeakers are average, Y's speakers are slightly better Capacitative screen response is same for both... A70 has a front camera (even though its useless, it cant be used for 3g video calling) but hey, its better than not having a front cam.. lol and besides (fring anyone ? :P) Quadrant scores are useless IMO... i used to get around 480 on stock but around 900-1000 on Leandros ROM.. On Y, i get around 800ish.. Y outperforms in gaming obviously but the low res screen really takes all that fun from them.. If you have to go for an android device at low price range, dont go for either of these.. go for Optimus net, One , or Dell XCD35..

@rahul....sorry rahul for late reply...Just download z4root app and install it. Then open it,you can see two options : Permanent Root and Temporary Root. You are recommended to use the permanent root option. Once you click the option, the phone reboots (do not worry if it stays frozen for some amount of time). That is it, after the reboot, you have successfully rooted your phone. To confirm that you have rooted your phone, you can check your apps to see a new app called "Superuser" has appeared. This app can be used allow/deny root permissions to other apps...u can unroot also using d same app... :) after rooting install titanium backup...using this app 1st take backup of the app which u want to uninstall then uninstall the app...if u need the app later u can restore it from the backup... :) so u can get ur factory settings easyly... :)

Please Don't Buy this kind of crap. their is no meaning of android without rooting or having custom kernels. We can do lot of things by have the Kernel source code. MMX failed to provide the code for the developers. Micromax is the rebrand of chinese phones. I was going through the comments, saw a guy mention if the CPU can be overclocked with a application called setcpu. i tried it, i could take it to 800 MHZ. kept it at that for 2 months, works like a dream, tried again and forced it to 925 MHZ works superb, but the mobile gets hot. took it back to 750 MHZ. the phone has to be rooted first.

I have personally used one of my frnd's Galaxy Y for a week and found it is a great phone @7000 Now all Y's are coming with 2.3.6 and problems related to battery & SD Card is no more. Those who complain of battery, dont know how to save battery. Also each & every smartphone drains battery very fast. So no issues in battery. The resolution is bit low but the hardware quality is excellent. No Lags in application. Wi-Fi, Radio, Earphones etc are of excellent quality considering the price. Also Galaxy can be updated using KIES. Y supports SWYPE keyboard where as MMX A70 does not. Those who have not used SWYPE, they missed a lot. LG Optimus is no doubt better phone comparing to Y. But price difference is almost 2000-3000. If anyone can afford LG Optimus, then they can also afford HTC by paying another 2000. So, MORE SUGAR = MORE SWEET.

A70 is a good mobl but micromax customer service is bad...once u hav ne problem in ur mobl then they took long time to repair & in many cases they fail to repair...that is d only reason,i am not advising u to buy a70 except that A70 is d optimum mobl for RS7000... Samsung y has also few issue likes small screen,low resolution,battery problem,sd card problem,poor camera etc... that's why i am advising u to increase ur budget & buy lg optimus net which cost around 9k which is best in its class...

I have purchased A 70 in november 2011 for my 18 year old daughter.Our guest tried to open her phone in her absense and phone got hang.Our phone is in warrenty period but then also at service centre they told us that we will have to pay Rs 250/ Then he told that he is not able to solve problem It will take minimum 3 days or may need to send to Micromax company.Also Charger of Micromax are of worst quality.He agreed to replace my charger but it will take 15 days.I wonder what is use of service centre? No, Android in MMX cannot be upgraded/updated. You have to be happy with what rubbish MMX have provided you. Avoid MMX for its cheap hardware quality and poor after sale service. We all know that MMX A70 has wifi problem. Even MMX A75 is having problems in playing simplest games like Angry Birds (see igyaan review) which proves the cheap hardware quality of MMX.

for 1st time Some people advise to charge the mobile for some extra hours...normally a70 takes 2.3hr for full charge...but dont use to over charge ur mobl everyday...for 1st day it might be ok but from next time dont over charge ur mobl...i am using a70 over 3months so i am telling u from my own experience keep ur mobl switch off during charging & charge till it shows full bettery...it will give better battery performance...& dont charge ur mobl till battery goes down to 20-15%... use apps like fast reboot & mobile guard to close unnecessary apps thats keeps running in background...i hav given a battery optimization tips in my earlier post,use that for better battery & mobile performance...

the A70 is a nice phone. I must say that I have seen better, but if you want to compare with Samsung Y. samsung's got a Qvga screen while as MMX a70 a better, think its a VGA, LOL. also camera differs. Have you checked the model Magic from the mobile manufacturer BLU. they are virtually the same. except for the camera. infact BLU Magic has more RAM and ROM than the Micromax Mobile. I guess Micromax must have decided to take the Cocoa Brown and BLU the white and give it different names and give different memory and cameras.

d battery backup of a70 is good...u just need to optimize ur mobl... I am giving a optimization tip,use it it will improve ur mobile battery performance for sure... 1>always keep ur mobile switch off during charging 2>usefast reboot app(download it from market for free)...when u start ur mobile u will see android os has opened lots of unnecessary apps,they kill ur ram & battery,even mobile guard app cant kill all this apps...so use fast reboot app..really a light app & very useful..dont use any other apps(they actly kill ur memory and battery)...fast beboot app & mobile guard app really saves a lot of ram & battery...i use both fast reboot app & mobile guard app widget..this 2 app helps a lot...u can also go to settings>application>running app & there force stop map,market,netquin antivirus(when u r using them)...they waste ur battery & ram...always before switching ur screen off use fast reboot app & mobile guard app optimize option...it take only 1sec to optimize ur mobile... 3>use Zeam launcher(highly recommended)...i hav tried many launchers starting from default lancher to launcher pro,golauncher ect..but i hv found Zeam launcher is very good...very light launcher...really saves a lot of ram & battery...my standby battery life has improved a lot afer using zeam launcher... if u follow above mention 3 points u will see better battery life & more ram will be available... 4>keepgprs,gps,wifi off when not using them...

Recently bought Galaxy Y. It is not that bad. Speaker volume is little bit low, but earphone volume is good. The screen is of OK type (If you are not a heavy user of phone internet). If your budget is below 10,000 go for Y. You can opt for Samsung Galaxy Y COLOR PLUS where u will get 4 additional back covers including black & white. If you are a serious gamer, go for branded mobiles with GPU. Don't go for any local brands. It will make u suffer in after sale service.

i am writing this post on behalf of all the users of mmx Mobile who are protesting against mmx as they are not releasing the kernel source codes of android mobiles...android is open-source which means the mobile maker must release the kernel source codes & the users can modify the kernel...all other companies like htc,Samsung, LG etc release the kernel source codes & even give update to latest android versions but Micromax is such a fraud company that they are not even releasing kernel source codes...they are violating gpl & gnu rules( open-source rules)...if mmx release the kernel source code then we could port cyanageon mode in the android mobiles like a60,a70 etc...the cost of the mmx mobile are cheap coz they don't care to give any customer care & service...after u have bought d mobile they don't care about their customers...if ur mobile gets any problem(it may be hardware or software) & u go to service center & then 1 thing is sure ur mobile will never be repaired!!!!and if u r lucky enough then only u will get back ur mobile...there are hundreds of cases where customers have given their mobile to service centers but they didn't get back their mobile even after 2-3months(if ur mobile needs serious repairing then they send ur mobile to delhi,ur mobile can't be repaired in local service center)...just think wisely, u r using mmx mobile & presently its condition is good but after few months say 6months u encounted a problem in ur mobile & the moment u go to service center then u will realize how pathetic the customer service is (it can happen with ne 1)...that is the reason why their mobile is so cheap coz after sale they don't care about their customers...if u don't believe me just visit the fb account of Micromax mobile,we all are requesting the kernel source codes of a70 mobile over a months but they are not releasing it...they did the same thing for a60 mobile...& they are doing the same thing for mobiles a70,a75,a85 mobile... even igyaan has supported us..

when u want gud batery backup..den u've to think twice taking android phone.it may not give gud batery backup like other java dumb phones. Do you have a scrtch guard, if so then change it. also make sure that the mobile is not kept on any fans for a duration of time. it might be drawing in dust. check the pouch, does it gather static. Trying to assume, that this maybe some of the solutions.

I purchased this mobile A70 on 16Nov. I found this as a dust magnet. in just 8-10 days I could see a visible enough gathered under the touchscreen. Accumulation of dust is continuing and I afraid of usability of touchscreen & phone after few days. I called up/emailed problem to micromax. It seems the problem is rampant, and asking me to visit service center. Isn't it sad to visit service center in just. two weeks time. What is the quality? There are phones which are even waterproof. make sure u hav focused properly,initially d camera button is a bit hard,so u can hav problem,after using it for sometimes it will become normal,when u first press d button it does the focus,when u press further it takes d picture...in camera go to setting & there select 5mp quality...the camera is good but default camera app is not good :) just download lg camera app...u will definitely like a70 camera if u r using lg camera app or ne other camera apps like camera360 etc...

after seeing ur comment I hav downloaded d widget...d widget works perfectly in a70 :) even when I turn on d live wallpaper of the widget it worked very nice... :) actly it gave better performance in a70 with no or minimum lag...I had disable the click event... but few thing u should remember,optimize ur mobl...I use launcher pro,default launcher is slow & not good...use either launcher pro or zeam launcher...use fast reboot & mobile guard app to close all unnecessary background apps...& always force close map,market when u r not using them...

@rahul86....sorry rahul for late reply...I will suggest u to buy from letsbuy coz u can find discount coupons for letsbuy & u can avail discount 5-10%,just search in Google I will suggest u to buy a local good screen guard for rs 150-250 coz I think u don't have experience (just like me)to fit the screen guard properly,go to a good local shop & buy screen guard from there & ask them to fit the screen guard... if u listen music in mobl then buy a good headphone coz the Micromax headphone is not good for music,I don't listen music in a70 so I can't tell u name of good headphones but u can find good headphone for 400-500,even local headphones costing 150 can be excellent... presently I am using a 2gb sd card but I don't hav much knowledge in class of sd cards,buy a good 4gb/8gb sd card as per ur requirement...

don't worry dude mine too ws stopped..just open up the phone carefully by unscrewing all screws..after tht take out back upper panel carefully..u would see the small vibrator in that..place a little rolled piece of ppr betwn the two copper pin contacts and the vibrator itself..pull those copper pins upside a little bit so tht it cn come in contact.. thts all place it as it ws before screw it and start phone ..ur phone will vibrate..it just looses contact with the motherboard connection thts all..

every mobile has its +-points,so as a70 as well as Samsung y...but i can say a70 is a optimum mobile 4 7000 rupees...if I were u then I would hav choose a70... d only 2 +point Samsung y has are 2.3os nd better processor but it is not enough bcoz today we want many other things from our mobile...there r many -ve points of Samsung y... small screen bad resolution no adreno gpu 200 only 2mp rear camera,no front cam,so no video calling possible... Presently there is a problem in Samsung y---mobile automatic restart after incoming call,many users are complaining about this problem,so be aware before buying Samsung y... +ve points of a70 over Samsung y... a70 has bigger screen,better resolution,good 5mp rear camera and front camera for video calling,adreno gpu200 so u can enjoy good hd games and ur gaming experience will b beautiful... but a70 also few drawbacks but they r negligible like... fm is poor(I don't listen fm in phone...but headphone sound quality of music of a70 is very good if u r using a good headphone :D ) doesn't hav digital compass(I hav download gmap and used navigation and it was perfect, only there will b no compass) wifi can b weak if u r far from wifi- point... CONCLUSION---if u compare a70 with Samsung y then u will find a70 is a much compact mobile than y...I will recommend u Micromax a70... now it is ur decision,buy d mobile which u like d most... :)

Battery is the big problem. u can't use it properly due to weak battery. volume of music is not very laud but ok good with head phone. sometimes screen will stop responding during surfing net. front camera I m not able to use I tried everything. back camera is not as 5 megapixel. Samsung 3.2 is batter than this but good than Samsung 2 megapixel.

a70 doesnt has digital compass,but it is not a big issue...for navigation u need gps...a70 has gps...so there will be no trouble during navigation...just u hav to download gmap & u can use navigation...digital compass is different,u don't need compass for navigation,u need compass to identify direction like north,south,west,east :)

actually i don hav an idea about the digital compass.. but why do u need it anyway,, i dont find any use for it.. and here in my area.. a basic compass is availabl for rs.50.. and yes.. there is no flash supprt.. but u really wouldnt see the difference..since the browser is really excellent.. and the audio quality is really excellent.. i use a senheisser ear phone .. a pleomax or sound magic. ear phones should just work fine.. and for the batery life is great.. see buddy.. android phones need to be optimised.. and if u optimise them properly.. u can screw out a lot of battery life.. mine stays awake for a whole day of heavy work and makes it up for tomoro easily.. andf for best equaliser effects use poweramp :D

every mobile has its +-points,so as a70 as well as Samsung y...but i can say a70 is a optimum mobile 4 7000 rupees...if I were u then I would hav choose a70... d only 2 +point Samsung y has are 2.3os nd better processor but it is not enough bcoz today we want many other things from our mobile...there r many -ve points of Samsung y... small screen bad resolution no adreno gpu 200 only 2mp rear camera,no front cam,so no video calling possible... +ve points of a70 over Samsung y... a70 has bigger screen,better resolution,good 5mp rear camera and front camera for video calling,adreno gpu200 so u can enjoy good hd games and ur gaming experience will b beautiful... but a70 also few drawbacks but they r negligible like... fm is poor(I don't listen fm in phone...but headphone sound quality of music of a70 is very good if u r using a good headphone :D ) doesn't hav digital compass(I hav download gmap and used navigation and it was perfect, only there will b no compass) wifi can b weak if u r too far from wifi- point... CONCLUSION---if u compare a70 with Samsung y then u will find a70 is a much compact mobile than y...I will recommend u Micromax a70... now it is ur decision,buy d mobile which u like d most... :)

I am giving a optimization tip,use it it will improve ur mobile battery performance for sure... :) 1>always keep ur mobile switch off during charging 2>usefast reboot app(download it from market for free)...when u start ur mobile u will see android os has opened lots of unnecessary apps,they kill ur ram & battery,even mobile guard app cant kill all this apps...so use fast reboot app..really a light app & very useful..dont use any other apps(they actly kill ur memory and battery)...fast beboot app & mobile guard app really saves a lot of ram & battery...i use both fast reboot app & mobile guard app widget..this 2 app helps a lot...u can also go to settings>application>running app & there force stop map,market,netquin antivirus(when u r using them)...they waste ur battery & ram...always before switching ur screen off use fast reboot app & mobile guard app optimize option...it take only 1sec to optimize ur mobile... 3>use Zeam launcher(highly recommended)...i hav tried many launchers starting from default lancher to launcher pro,golauncher ect..but i hv found Zeam launcher is very good...very light launcher...really saves a lot of ram & battery...my standby battery life has improved a lot afer using zeam launcher... if u follow above mention 3 points u will see better battery life & more ram will be available... 4>keepgprs,gps,wifi off when not using them...
