Motorola MILESTONE 3 XT860 - User Reviews

  • This phone was good but the Wi-Fi is terrible. It loves to shut itself off then back on, only good thing about it was the keyboard, it ran games okay like fruit ninja and dead trigger, it's good for apps, considering it has a dual-core processor, it's not the best or how you would think it is. Do not get only if you are a light user.

  • I have had the xt860 for just about 3 years. I've dropped it more times then I can count on ceramic floors, parking lot at work and my concrete floor. It fell into a puddle back side down with back cover off and battery in the water too. I dried it with a Kleenex and it turned on no problem. About a month ago I forgot it on my car and drove over it....no damage....and still works. I own a G6 that weighs about 3600 to 3800 lbs. I have had the time freezing issue and the KB does sometimes stick or not register but it fixes itself. But all in all....I LOVE my phone! I looked into changing to the Samsung S5 but its looking as a no so far.....

  • This phone absolutely sucks. It was glitchy starting after the first few months I had it. If I try to call out, it may take 10 minutes for the phone to finally respond, and now my clock time is freezing, caused me to be late to work this morning because it was stuck at 6:49 until 8:02 when I sent a text message. WASTE

  • Very disappointed. I thought this was the cheapest phone with the sufficient features and performance at a required level of quality I'd need. I loved it had a QWERTY keyboard. Unfortunately these phones are very glitchy. At the first week of use it started to reboot randomly (it usually happens when I use the QWERTY keyboard); this problem is most likely a hardware flaw and it's been reported extensively on forums. With time it becomes unreliable and slow. A month later, another issue that many users have also experienced appeared: the physical keyboard started to fail (keys become non responsive, the phone types duplicated letters, etc.). I bought this phone because I thought it would be useful to have the best of both worlds (virtual and physical keyboard), but now I don't want to use the QWERTY keyboard as it is becoming unusable and annoying. It just sucks, don't buy it.

  • I have the XT862. It is carried by nTelos. East coast USA. THE PHONE IS HONESTLY A FANTASTIC PHONE AND VALUE. The quality With the camera and the video are undeniable. I only get concerned that it seems to heat up a lot with prolonged use. Must phones will though. It can be serviced either via GSM Or CDMA. NICE PHONE AND BETTER THAN ALOT ON MARKET NOW IN 13. HANDS DOWN.

  • Hi I had this phone 2 1/2 years its not the best but I liked it and be careful once you get it they say "oh it doesn't scratch or its nearly impossible to crack lol mines shattered and I got it BC it don't do so it doesn't take screen shots and it crappy compared to phones today its 2013 don't get it move on to something bigger it was cool in 2011 now its just meh

  • How do you download pictures

  • The top button and the center button at the same time

  • How do you take screenshots ?

  • is this phone worth getting ?

  • How do you take screen shots with the phone?

  • does anyone know if you can make video calls through skype on this phone? I read on a skype forum that only voice calls are possible

  • I think it just means that it comes with a mini sim, but it can be compatible with micro mini nano or full size, as can most smart phones.

  • I have brought an XT860 from Canada, I live in UK, the phone works fine but the layout of the contact number view is set to show ###-###-##### and I want to change it to either #####-###### or simply ########### does anyone know how to do this?

  • i have got a milestone 2 for two years and love the way it looks, but the right side of touch screen is not working and sometimes it starts to click around by it self, should i risk it to get milestone 3?

  • I used to love this phone, but now the keyboard is not working properly: sometimes it misses key, others it doubles the key pressed.

  • Mini sim is the full size sim. The other 2 is micro sim and nano sim.

  • My XT860 uses a full size sim, specs say mini-sim

  • It's an excellent mobile, the only improvement would be increasing 512MB RAM to 1GB :-)

  • The PowerVR SXG540 from Milestone 3 is more powerful than Adreno 205. Adreno 205 is comparable with PowerVR SXG530, which equips the older Milestone 2. I Have a Milestone 2 with PowerVR SXG530 and a Xperia Mini Pro with Adreno 205, they have equivalent performance, very close.

  • This phone is amazing, I'll never let go of qwerty KB, 512Mb of RAM isn't so much, but it's enough to run clean the android OS, with a dual-core processor, this phone is all I ever wante

  • It`s a very complete cell phone, and android is amazing!!! Its support an enormous quantity of aplications. From Argentina.

  • Considering only relevant things, please help me: A bit hard choise: Xperia Pro or MM3? In terms of GPU, for web browsing and ~very~ casual gamming which is better: PowerVR SGX540 or Adreno 205. By how much? I know MM3 has Dual Core processor, a bigger res screen and 1080p@30fps video capture, but these are not my concerns. So, please help me decide :) - L. Btw, the slide keyboard on the MM3 is as the MM2(loose)? Or this new is better? Thanks you'll!

  • is this phone available in the philippines?? help anyone....

  • my milestone need to be repaired. but i could not find any repair shop or spare parts shop in lahore, Pakistan. Can u guide me in this. regards

  • When it will be available in India ?

  • realy k but y s it that there were no available case or protective cover like that of nokia and samsung... bur aside from accessories all were nice and fantastic. y is it that seemingly no stock in the market.. full out?

  • samsung phone's look all the same , same design with almost everyphone with few changes, samsung phones might be good but i dislike it so much all looks like bricks ..:P But Motorola's different they care about the look and the peformance I know 512ram's not much but after all this's not a very new phone but 512 would do just fine and the look of the phone's just so nice, having a phone's not just the specs people , it should give some states to you if you pay big for it ,that's something samsung doesn't get ! :P :)

  • This phone is awesome. Even its rating is higher than SGS3.

  • Perhaps it's a personal preference. But I'd forego the extra RAM to have the seperate number row on the keyboard.

  • Definetely it's the best phone I've ever had, and I changes phones quite often, but this is a keeper !

  • i think this mob is awesome, just got mine couple days ago , just amazing .. love this phone

  • one phone better than this? samsung captivate glide. tegra 2, 1gb ram, 8mp cam and 1080p video, with guaranteed ICS upgrade

  • name one phone out there in the qwerty phone catagary better than this... 1Ghz Dual core processer 5 raw qwerty key boared 8 MP cam (auto focus+HD vid 1080P) 512ram 4 inch display 16 GB internal storage 512 ram is not enough ? In like 2009 a PC with a 512 ram could do hell lot of work and it was so awesome so why don't you think that this's not gonna be enough for a phone ? It's not like you're gonna install more than 500 apps or run more than 50 apps at once .. So why crying over the 512 ram ? This's the best in the catagary ..go for it if you're looking for the coolest qwert phone with best pefomance Sorry if the english's not so good..

  • It has FM Radio !! Please correct the data.

  • Videocall only possible using a 3rd party app like Tango, There is No Native video call for MM3 memory is enough,, Battery will not last all day long if you are a heavy user

  • I have this MM3 and it does have FM radio. I listen to it everyday (It is not the Radio Shoutcast that also have)

  • I have just bought this MM3 and can tell it has FM RADIO. youtube.com/watch?v=uslWPdwjPS0&context=C421e72fADvjVQa1PpcFO7BGPRZMDder5KmTCvh6LHMAr9VMWjnKM=

  • Yes, video calling is possible thru the front cam.

  • Come on, the Iphone 4S have 512 RAM!!!

  • WTF you talking about people? A few years ago having 512MB on a desktop PC was a marvel. I own the phone, had it for a few months and NEVER had an issue with RAM capacity. And I'm not a noob in the Android ecosystem. So if you consider RAM amount a reason why not to buy the phone think twice, it's an amazing handset.

  • everything is good except w eak (512) ram.

  • Sometimes i get extremely perplexed as regards using a small ram on crazy machines 9.6 overall on a 512ram Device?,,,,you definitely gotta be kidding me.

  • I am waiting for review about this mobile from gsmarena, i always read your review of each other mobiles. But before buying this mobile I want to know your professional opinion about this mobile motorola milestone 3. I read in others sites about review and say that the camera is poor.

  • Are you kidding me with that 512 Mb of RAM rite?

  • The battery is a shame. The specs are great, the design is cool too, but the battery...

  • Motorola announced that this phone is available in Colombia. however I have found out and nobody knows it. How to get it in Colombia?

  • Is video calling poss?

  • Hi I bought this cel in Argentina for 2 months and I to resulpado very good, and had had the milestone 1 are very good teams very full

  • In HK this phone costs around US$511, unlocked without contract. Whether or not the phone is expensive nobody can judge except yourself.

  • i dont think the phone is that good, taken it for repairs more than once, not fixed, I do not recommend it, some cellular co. charges are R1 200.00. that is too much for a phone that is on contract.i am not happy, my phone got faulty within a year of purchase!

  • just got this device right now. lets do this :D

  • I think is a good cels but, i need more information to learn about this cels, i need the price of this celular, i need to learn if celular is cheap or expensive. please help me???????????????????
