Motorola Moto G 4G - User Reviews

 • moto G king mid smart for 8years. Prefer g8 plus offer iphone 11

 • Got one for free recently, for running kitkat and being quite low-end it's actually fast

 • how did you install it? and is it any good with the performance?

 • I've had this phone since christmas 2014 so 3,5 years almost. It's been a good phone for the price. But now I miss internal space a lot. It comes with only 8 GB which actually only leaves you around 5GB. Since you can't put every app on the external SD card and even then, only a part of the movable apps go to the SD card, you run out of space very quickly. Another problem is speed. Light apps run ok. But heavier ones are slow to start and run or even freeze for 1 or 2 minutes in the worst cases (Google, Google News, Google Maps for instance). The overall experience of the device is not snappy at all. I compared it to a friends expensive phone and OMG this looked so fast compared to my old Moto G 1st gen! So I think I'm gonna look towards a more recent device. Maybe the Moto G6 Plus since it's one of the few to deliver every options I want for a decent price : SD card support, Bluetooth 5.0, Wifi ac, USB-C, Headphones Jack, NFC, Oreo and even FM radio and splashproofness). I dont really care about the picture quality or the design of the device. So I think this Moto G 1st gen it totally outdated and should be avoided for newer ones now.

 • Hi, would you mind sharing which SD card you recommend, which apps you also recommend and what is Lineage 15.1? I have had my Moto G 4G for 3.5 years and don't want to get rid of it but it needs an upgrade for sure! Thanks.

 • Just seconding what you say about this phone. Mine is 2.5 years old now and I'm still happy with its performance. I use Link2SD with a 64GB SD card. The only issue encountered was that the second partition had to begin within the first 32GB of the card otherwise it wasn't visible.

 • A lot of the complaints on here seem to be about the G4 instead of the 4G! I like this phone a lot, very reliable. A combination of Lineage 15.1 for the Oreo experience, an SD card, a decent app-to-SD app and a decent RAM booster app is best. The battery is possible to replace too.

 • Its available for this phone, installed it on my old Moto G 4G and I should say, it completely feels like a new phone. Made the UI look just like the Pixel.

 • I just want to say for any onlookers I lots of complaints for other versions of moto not moto g4. Some complaints yes and I sympathize but most of complaints seem to be about other phones not g4. I wish it was easier to use but its still great! if you want to try it out first buy from a store that has take back allowances

 • my headphones work great, I am not demanding with what others are complaining about, For what I paid, it does what it can and I accept whatever limitations people have, I have not tried to save allot of numbers so I can't say if that part is bad, I don't know where all the notifications and settings are, its a very complex phone for price, I wish it was easier to use but for the most basic things nothing comes close at this price point

 • the only part I don't like about phone is I get notification of youtube videos every few minutes I want to turn it off. I am not demanding so I think the phone is outstanding for the low price My camera not only focuses but its the best camera I ever used on a cell phone, The display is bright and sharp, and the sound is loud and music clear, With headphones its great, Someone put some hard work on this phone and cnet is right nothing comes close to this I can write more if anyone has any questions

 • in developer options you probably have strict mode enabled, so it flashes to tell you when your main process is processing.

 • Sir I loss my mobile how to get back that phone IME Num through

 • friends this phone is awesome i have been using it for 4 month no any issue is found yet except for one thing it doesn't have active screen plz otherwise superb phone awesome battery timing can recommend to those people who love to chat and do calls for long hours keep it up moto

 • I do this but my devise showing your devise up to date, what can I do more plz help me I need loipop version but I don't have update option

 • Three weeks of trying to input phone numbers of contacts, over and over again. For some reason, it has saved 4 or 5 but refuses to save many frequently used ones although all the old email addresses are saved.

 • I have the Moto G xt1039 which is beyond repair, I made backup of stock ROM using TWRP recovery on my PC, if I was to buy the same Moto G and root it, will it be safe to flash the old Stock ROM into the new phone?

 • i bought a g4 but it was so unstable i returned it within 2 weeks for an upgrade of the same phone which came with the same issues. they sell the g4 cheap. why? i believe the model is defective by design. the g4 was a terrible first experience with a smartphone. i had such high hopes. i've been thinking of getting an iphone 5s except i don't need a smartphone at all.

 • will jio sim work on this phone

 • just go playstore update motorola services and now go system update check it will give lollipop update 5.1

 • i had moto g 4g xt1045 but it has no hotspot i has no official update please help me in getting it update i had 4.4.4 KitKat version please help .!!

 • Go oto sounds notification settings..on main settinhs Select notification ringtone. Then check Also your message settings on text screen

 • I recently bought motorola 4g. When I receive text messages I do not get sound notification. They appear on screen as junk message

 • Unlocked the bootloader on mine and flashed CM13 (Android 6.0.1). I don't believe official MM will be released for this old phone.

 • Me too having the same issue...headphone is not working....can anyone help me to fix the issue or is it a complaint?

 • I have moto g xt1039,when are you planning to update it to mashallaw?(6.0)

 • Here I got my new motto g4plus, head sets are not working which I got via Amazon, slso the screen is so sensitive.

 • Hi Sparky, this happened to me too. I was at a loss to understand why, then I realised the phone was overheating and seemed to be using up all its capacity and a huge amount of background data. Eventually I realised that Exchange Services (which I was using for email) was the problem app behind this; moving my email to a different app and no longer using Exchange Services solved the problem. Perhaps something similar is happening with one of your apps - check your background data usage to see if that shows anything? Hope this helps if you haven't already managed to solve the issue.

 • Yes bro you can....

 • Sane thing happened to us, and they pretty much said there was no way it would click on by itself, that we had to of turned it on. Then we found out that Apps were updating whenever they want. You need to go into each app and tell it you do not want auto updates. It will now have to ask you if you want to update, other then that phone sucks!

 • Phone is heating up while playing games

 • Wait for zuk z2, it has no heating problems but costlier.

 • Moto G 4G first gen phone. Worked great for 18months then started to switch itself off despite battery still >50%, bluetooth intermittent. Eventually seemed to die completely. Tried all reset, forcing power on etc. No joy (except once gave message "failure to initialise partition table"). Took it to Mobile Store for diagnosis (princely sum of £5). Answer came back....dead, main board chips blown due to overheating. Took it home ready to ditch but one last try...did a fast boot, factory reset.....worked! So much for Mobile Store diagnosis. All seemed fine again .... except microphone not working. Internet research, bought phone tool kit (£6), opened up, took out battery and main board....rattle rattle... lower microphone fell out. Reckon maybe Mobile Store engineer knocked it off (case had been scratched too). Found out where and which way round it went but main board pads did not connect (too low) so blob of solder on each main board pad, bluetack to hold, back together...hey presto...a fully working phone again. Been working for a week now. Fingers crossed. Very pleased with phone...has all functions I need, is good size and weight.

 • Digitel in Venezuela the company works with technology 4g with 1800 MHz frequency band 3 , this cell rises with 4g in digitel ?

 • Sir, while clicking the sms column, a red border line is flickering around the screen. Can u please suggest how the problem can be rectified. It looks a red alert.

 • Happy with this phone. The volume is also very good.

 • Anyone here had Data Disable and get charge for data even thought data has been disabled ? I am wondering if there is a firmware fault. I am using WiFi only and Data - Data Roaming Have Been Disabled. Thanks.

 • phone memory full but can't former or download anything y.. last time just back up .. now can't remove backup file

 • phone memory full but can't former or download anything y.. last time just back up .. now can't remove backup file

 • my mob is Moto G2 sec Gen... now ther was an update for mashmallow... can i do this or not??... pls tell anyone who know abt this

 • my mob is Moto G2 sec Gen... now ther was an update for mashmallow... can i do this or not??... pls tell anyone who know abt this

 • I have a MotoG (2G) phone , I have replaced the SIM slot Assembly Two times.I had to shell out Rs 3000/- per replacement ,which was done two times ie:- I had to shell out Rs 6000/-.This is inspite of the phone being in Guarentee period. The reason attributed was the slim slot mishandling by the authourised service centre of Motorola.

 • My moto g does not open the facebook messenger app. It crushes the app on startup... anyone having the same problem? Except that, it works like a charm!!!

 • In addition, even with a fast microSD card, it does not seem that Moto G 4G fully supports transferring Apps to SDCard. I also removed wechat. So I am not very sure what was the cause of the black out that is common among Moto G 4G.

 • If any Moto G 4G user are having issues with the phone turning off by itself, like I did. I manage to stop it by removing some apps and keeping the internal storage about 1GB free. I do not know is it an app that cause the auto off/ black screen freezing or storage issue. As with Linux OS, it does not operate well when the internal storage is too low in free space.

 • Anyone in Malaysia manage to upgrade to Lollipop with no issues ? After my last mainboard change with the local supplier here, I was advised by the technical not to upgrade to Lollipop. But from what I have gathered, then new mainboard is using Samsung eMMC compared to the board the failed with Sandisk eMMC. If anyone have any info that it is safe to upgrade to Lollipop in Malaysia, do let me know. Thanks

 • xt1040 ca version no lolipop y

 • is it may be cdma or gsm. not working after insert cdma sim.

 • I think Motorola best device forever... Updating every quickly

 • Best phone ever had, still have it for over 12 months, no issues at all and never bored of it because iv rooted it wich means total control of system files. i didn't like lollipop because it dosnt manage ram as good as carbon costum rom 4.4.4, also changing system theme is easier with this cyanogen based rom, with few kick ass apps like luckypatcher, xposed, greenify...my moto g becomes flawless and cheap...

 • We can't. There are lot if complex things to do it but it will result in problem for sure. Wait for mashmillow then the dark style is about to arrive.

 • Where I can find a battery for xt1039?? 2700mah@ 2070mah

 • Download the new whats its name download manager for motorola smartphones and the upgrade should show up. Troubled me for some time. It doesn't auto detect upgrade as i thought.

 • Just received 5.1 on Moto G 4 G 1st gen in Bolivia. Cool

 • I have the first Moto G 4G/LTE version (2013), bought and used in Australia. Can't remember now if it was loaded with KitKat to start with, but I did use KitKat 4.4.4 up until a few weeks ago with no problems. I delayed for a while before upgrading to Lollipop 5.1 because I had bad experiences on my 2012 Nexus 7 32GB 3G Tablet ( ran really slow and used battery quickly; have reverted it to KitKat since). The Lollipop 5.1 upgrade on the Moto G went really smoothly and I have had no problems with the Moto G running on that OS. Apart from some visible and operating changes etc the major difference I am impressed with is my battery charge lasts longer than before. I use this phone for travel and trekking because it is small and has very good features for its price. I also wanted something running almost pure Android, ie without bloatware. At the time this was a really good value phone for the money and hopefully the latest one also is. Like any computer equipment, avoid loading up too many unnecessary apps/programmes; run it lean and mean.

 • It appears that it can play most games reasonably well, but you should look at the reviews on youtube.co.uk Within YouTube You should search for < Motorola Moto G 4G Games > and search through the list. If GSMArena allows my reply.

 • go for moto g 3rd generation

 • the moto g is a very good device the camera is not bad in full light it dont have a long battery durattion.but you can uptade your sustem if you want i my device it happens all the time so if you want to uptade your system from kit kat to lollipop is very easy.

 • This is a good device with an acceptable performance to be a mid range phone, however I realized a few days ago, the material for the Battery got hot easily. and get drains quickly....

 • Is it good or waste for money? any lags for hd games/playing hd video?

 • Still no Lollipop Update. And Yes, I do have my Motorola Updates Services completely updated as per App Information and Playstore's information. And Now we have the Android 6.0 :/ Why is that?

 • Moto G (1st Gen) users need to ensure that they have the latest Motorola Updates Services from the Play Store, otherwise you will not see the future Lollipop upgrade notification. This is not necessary for Moto G (2nd Gen).

 • Thats crap my Moto g 4g was updated to lollypop as soon as it was available.

 • i have old moto g 2014 and no lollipop. don't buy motorola, motorola don't give updates!

 • Note: Moto G (1st Gen) users need to ensure that they have the latest Motorola Updates Services from the Play Store. If you see an update available, please install it - otherwise you will not see the future Lollipop upgrade notification. This is not necessary for Moto G (2nd Gen).

 • Check if an update for you version of the phone has been released at

 • Hi! Could anyone tell me please how to update my Moto G 4G in Colombia to Lollipop? I've tried to update on Playstore the Motorola Service Update but is updated already and when I go to "Software Update" it says my Moto G is up to date. I also have a couple of friends with the Moto G and Moto X (Both 1st Gen) and they recieved the update on the past couple days. :( Can anyone help me please? Mrs. No-Lollipop-For-Your-Device

 • Even though 3rd gen is coming soon XT1039 is still one of the best budget/mid range phones. It's updated with the latest android, but works fine with older one (kitkat). No matter if kitkat or lolipop - you get nice and clean android with only some bloatware. The system performs well, stock launcher is fast and gives you hi-end experience. It's good for both normal, everyday use and developement. Easy root method available and support with custom roms. Battery life is above average, call quality is surprisingly good. Now the negatives - the phone I've bought at Tesco UK was a Vodafone version. It's LED notification light didn't work and I also couldn't unlock the network to use it with different carrier. The only solution was flashing retail rom. Another thing is the lack of double tap to wake up option that makes you use power button every time you want to switch the screen on or off. This can be fixed with additional software. I also find the lack of ability to set 2G network as preferred annoying, because 3G and 4G are massive battery drainers. However, this can also be fixed. Generally, I must say LG L40 I used before is a little bit more user friendly as it has all these options built-in. After all I would recommend this phone anyway.

 • You have to go to google play store and update "motorola update services". After that go back to phone settings and you should be able to get lolipop.

 • Moto G 4G model XT1039 purchased July 1, 2015 Android 4.4.4 (already out the update for Lollipop). Screen high quality and excellent definition. USB host for OTG cable connections. SD card connector. Good battery life (I disable unused applications, Motorola Spotlight, talkback, Pinyin Input, etc.) The best value for money. I installed Textra, CCleaner, Ampere, TeslaLight, Sony Audio Recorder and AIDA64 (for detailed information of the cell). I recommend this phone.

 • Just got back my Moto G 4G after the repair. Mainboard was replaced. For Malaysia purchased Moto G 4G, I do not recommend to upgrade to Lollipop. From what the tech says, more and more Moto G and Moto G 4G have been pouring in for repairs due to mainboard failure after upgrading to Lollipop. They can't say is it due to mainboard failure or the upgrade caused something to fail. Mine was loaded with 4.4.3. Hope to get more feedback if any users have upgraded to official release of Lollipop 5.1 on Moto G 4G without issues in Malaysia.

 • so far i love the 5.1 version. it gives me 1 day more. the features are good however some of them are too new. nothing to report at this point.

 • thank you for your answer.

 • i got lollipop 5.1 update fluid experience

 • anyone has to say something about the new 5.1 android? i'm not sure if i have to upgrate... what you say? anyone having any problem so far?

 • I just updtred os to 5.1. Too early to give any comments. My moto G 4g lte bought in US one year ago. I use this phone in rural area of Indonesia . But still got update via OTA. THX

 • This model have issues with auto shutdown. I have experience it many times after 3 months of performing flawlessly. The auto shutdown started consistently 1.5 days after full charge but then it became random. After upgrading to Lollipop 5.1 OTA, it became worst. I have tried everything available but finally, it was dead and I have to send it in for warranty claim. I was informed by the tech that Moto G and Moto G 4G (all generations) have issues with the mainboard. Some come earlier and some come later. I hope they have rectified the mainboard and I will get a mainboard replacement. Very sad.

 • After updating to lollipop the screen cracked !!! That's what people call coincidence...........

 • no issues with 5.1 on my G 4G whatsoever.

 • first time rating and performance 8.1 now 7.7 what happened ???

 • Yes it is 4G phone. But check the frequency of 4G where you live. It may or may not suporting 4G in ypur area.

 • Does old version Moto G 1st Grneration supports 4G network ?

 • Friends, My Moto G 4G XT1039 has custom 5.1.1 installed and rooted. Now I want to install the official 5.1. But I am confused about the region of my phone. If I search 5.1 update at xda, there are many files regarding different region. I will unroot and install official 5.1 if I know my phone's region. Please help me if I am wrong or tell me the procedure please.

 • I just updated this to 5.1 and I just got the phone two days ago. Very smooth with good battery life so far.

 • Just upgraded to Android 5.1 and I am a happy user again. This upgrade feels so faster! It was almost worth the delay!

 • Motorola updates in waves during several days, besides it is only selected users on the reteu at this point. You also need an updated Moto Update Service, find it here: I am still worried about the "Mobile radio active" battery drain bug, some Moto X are affected, anyone on Moto G 4G yet? Some say viping the cache helps: androidforums.com/threads/battery-drain-android-os-mobile-radio-active.919694/ The issue has 2081 stars (votes?), top 4 of all open issues and still no answer from Google since Apr 14:

 • I'm using motorola moto G 4g EU version...... According to most of the posts in here, the 5.1 update is out and running but unfortunately i think i should've gotten an update by now since one EU owner like me claims to have gotten the update! Mine is still not in yet and when ever i check it says "device is up to date" what shud i do????? Pls help I'm in Ghana

 • Just got 5.1 update OTA in UK, didn't get a notification but was available when I checked.... All good so far, a few things have changed and some new handy short cuts to get used too.

 • 5.0.1? No, Moto G 4G is getting 5.1, skipping 5.0.x

 • I don't understand your questions: you should elaborate (expand on what you mean). I have to assume that you want to use the phone with a USA Network. USA networks it appears that they will only use phones purchased from themselves on their own network, and don't have to agree for somebody who purchase their phones from another seller, to use it on their network. Therefore, whichever USA Network you want to use you should verify with the particular network if you purchased ANY phone (Android or Apple; cheap or expensive) from another seller would they either allow you to use your phone on their network, and if so how much would they charge? My advice would be to buy a Motorola G 4G 2nd generation 2015 XT1072 phone, and not a Moto 1st G 4G XT1039 phone - quality. Find information from www.YouTube.co.uk in UK: Use keywords for e.g; < Moto G 4G 2nd Gen 2015>,< Lollipop 5>,< Tips or Tricks>.

 • Trust me you dont want 5.0.1 its awful. wait for 5.1 it's a solid release!

 • hey.my moto 4g still 4.4.4 . checking update still show 'your device's software is up to date' . argggg I wan 5.0.1 !! help me please.... btw iam in malaysia . tq

 • any 1 know why a brand new moto g 4g would not make or receive calls company & att services tell me the phone & sims card are good help plz

 • Today update to Android 5.1 UK retailer version jupi.

 • Moto g 4g xt1039 retail UK has just received the update to 5.1 today. So much better than 4.4.4

 • OTA duuh. If you are in Europe or Asia you would already be running 5.1. Latin America and US didn't receive it yet. I have a retail EU Moto G 4G and i got the update.

 • ok. how do you updated?

 • I have a Moto G 4g and I got the 5.1 last week, don't talk about things which you don't know. If you want, I can give a screenshot

 • 5.1 has started rolling out since 19th May.

 • There is no problem with 5.1, my Moto G 4G got the 5.1 update last week. Battery life and performance has improved A LOT.

 • I repeat : they are liars. actually don't exist the possibility to update lollipot 5.1 so it's impossible they did it

 • Here you can find the official lollipop release plan for Moto G and Moto 4G LTE: Be aware of that staying on 4.4.4 KitKat might be a good idea if the battery drain bug for 3G is a problem for Moto G too (I don't know, I will stay on KitKat until I am sure it is fixed):

 • first of all don't call anyone else a liar based on your own ignorance and stupidity, and 2nd Motorola has stated that the moto g 4g xt1045 will be updated to lolipop 5.1 when that happens is up in the air.

 • I have the Moto G 4G (XT1039). I hear a lot about updates to 5.1 but I still haven't seen anything. Is there any plan for this model or I shouldn't hope? I bought a Motorola because they were "pure Android", almost like Nexus devices, and they were supposed to continue offering upgrades. If they don't do this, I don't really find a good reason to buy a Moto instead of another brand...

 • Officially Motorola didn't upgrade to Lollipop so there is two possibilities: first. you are a liar or you are speaking about another model phone but not moto g 4g.

 • nice cell moto g 4g

 • I updated to 5.1

 • U just updated to 5.1

 • Just upgraded my moto g 4g 1st gen to Lolipop 5.1, officially! Nice and awesome mobile OS

 • Check "cellular networks", then " preferred network type ", there you should see 2g, 3g and, if your device is capable, 4g.

 • I was surprised about Moto. They are cheating all moto g4g onwners when planned upgrade to v5.1 (Lollipop) and don't arrives. Another phonemaker without any credibility. Moto is the second one that I never will buy any devices. I hope all onwers are doing the same to avoid these tricky companies. They must learn from apple.

 • am using Moto XT1068 model, will that support 4G ?

 • dual sim?

 • Yes this is the XT1039 model with 4G/LTE. I just brought my Mrs one. Great little phone for the money.

 • Is this the XT1039 model?

 • Hi Guys, Try to use different charger, It should not be moto g brand,

 • Does it support 3g on sim 1 ?

 • hi guys; When will arrive update Lollipop to moto g 4g

 • I have had similar issues where when I plug it in, it will become unresponsive until I let the battery drain. Then once it has a base charge again, it will turn on. I have been told that it has something to do with the circuit of the battery charger, and it does seem that once it "calibrates" the battery (i.e. freezes) a few times, it has stopped. I have had the phone since January 10th and it happened once in jan, twice in feb, and once in march, but has not happened since. Hope this helps!

 • Hello there...! Today something happened to my cellphone that almost drives crazy. I was listening to music when I plugged the phone to the charger, all of the sudden the screen went blank and the nothification like was blinking like twice per second. I tried to turn it on or off but was not responding. After 10 minutes it responded again. I looked for some info on Google and people were saying it was related with the Software update to KitKat 4.4.4. Is there anyone who knows if this is true? Or could know why that happend? The cellphone was purchased brand new on Saturday.

 • He/she just probably didn't know that the 4G version supports SD cards, unlike the regular original Moto G.

 • Hi! I just noticed that among the specifications for this decive, it shows a SD Card Slot to place external memory. However, earlier this day I asked in one of my country's mobile carrier and they told me it does not support external memory. So now I'm confused. Does it have sd card lost? Or it doesn't? Thanks in advance for the answer.

 • This is a very nice smartphone. VERY good display. Good battery life. GOOD responsiveness. Very good overall (running on 4.4.4). I wouldn't update to Lollipop unless I am 1000% sure I know what I'm doing and that it's worth it. Right now on 4.4.4 it's so smooth and lovely. May Jesus Christ bless you all. - Leonardo.

 • you got to be kiding!! there are 2 reasons that i can think of your post. 1. you bought a defective phone. most probably 2. you are talking about another phone. i use my phone only for calls and recently my moto g lasted 6 days with the battery droping at 43%. so you see the battery is exelent! the interface is nothing special but is much better than an iphone believe me! the back ground light is good, i've seen worst..the phone never crashed to me..never. and the camera has like every other phone digital zoom..yep the camera is not so good but it ok. and for the budget you can buy 4 moto g or 1 overpriced iphone with nothing to justify the price!

 • Please decrease moto g 4g price

 • Just bought this phone a few hours ago. I'm very impressive about the speed so far.

 • Yea....... Vry much better than htc desire 620/620g bcz of its chipset configuration whch nvr allow the phone to crash or run out of ram.....

 • I am sure you do not talk about moto g, have this phone for almost a year, never even crashed and the battery life is very good

 • No NFC on the Moto G.

 • is it better than htc desire 620 ?????

 • Tell me the phone with best gps antenna in US$200 range

 • Does it have nfc

 • Hi All, I want to use a mobile as offline gps navigator (using apps like sygic or MapFactor without internet/data connection). My questions are: 1. How is Moto E's offline GPS capability? Does it catch gps easily? 2. Should I go for Moto G as I have seen lot of people have fantastic gps catch with Moto G even inside their house? 3. Moto E's processor is Snapdragon 410 which should be better then Moto G's Snapdragon 400, isn't it? 4. Is Beidou working on Moto E? Please reply Thanks

 • Offline (Data or Wi-Fi not required after downloaded Map) for Android Smartphones: Google Play (free uk road maps offline) You should be able to transfer (backup/export); photos, Videos, media, and audio files to SDHC (32GB-well 2GB too small) Memory Cards. Can only transfer Apps.(Applications/programs) to SDHC cards IF the Author/Manufacturer who created the App. allow you to do so. In theory should be able to transfer everything from the phone to a computer: told by Motorola UK. It maybe possible to back up everything to a Google Cloud account free for each account created - get 15GB free storage told by Motorola UK. YES: you should be able to transfer Locus Pro to the SD Memory Card. Haven't purchased the phone yet, but you should be able to transfer Locus Pro to SD Memory Card, because found their website Forum: I have eventually found this link, which is probably better than the next 2nd to 4th Links below from the forum: LOCUS - Knowledge Base: Properly read the following website' links maybe three times, before trying to use any of them if you have any problems. Format should probably be (NTFS or 32 FAT, I think, because exFAT, if using greater than 32GB probably may not work) It probably didn't work for the person, because used Beta (experimental) software - Too risky to use any Beta Software. Three Forum Links: I don't know if the following will be any help, which I probably found yesterday; Android 5.0 Lollipop Tips & Tricks! - YouTube - Dopla Khoea - Superb! *Off-line (don't require Data to use Maps) - Google (Lite version): Play from 11:30 Mins.

 • How is gps of Moto G?

 • Get any Android or Windows Phone 8.1 phone and use Nokia HERE maps. They work completely without data connection if necessary. For Android you need to download HERE maps from Google Play. On the GPS receiver issue I can't help you, though, you will just have to experiment.

 • Heh there, Im a nexus 5, iphone 5s and moto g user and have no issues with the moto g on strava or running any other multiple apps (better than my 5s in may ways). Doesn't sound like yours is as it should be to me, you could try installing the google now launcher but I would be returning it to seller in your case. Hope that helps

 • Hold fast there , they are skipping initial lollipop build to move straight to 5.1. Im a nexus 5 and moto g user and take it from me this is a very good thing. Hope that helps

 • Hi All, I want to use smartphone as a offline gps device which: 1. Doesn't require data connection for navigation 2. Have good gps catching capacity ( currently using mediatek processor which doesn't catch gps) 2. Is Qualcomm processor better than Mediatek or Intel processor fo gps? Please replye

 • is it support 2 gsm sims?

 • Biggest pile of doggy doo I have ever used. User interface has no logic. Everything takes 3-4 steps where an iPhone would take 1. I have to have the thing on permanent charge when using at work as battery life is sooo poor. easily takes 4-5 hours to fully charge. And don't think of going to bed on quarter charge cos it will be dead by morning. Facial recognition only works indoors in good/office level lighting. Screen is unreadable even on full brightness in outdoor sun. Maps/directions are good...as long as you have a compass in your other hand. Won't run 2 apps at same time (podcast and strava with out crashing/freezing one of them. Camera has no zoom facility and quality is not even upto iPhone 4. Very little to recommend

 • Its battery backup is so gud. Display is also good. No dual sim. Upgradbl lollipop. 4g.

 • Its battery backup is so gud. Display is also good.

 • wanted to buy a 4g mobile searching ,warranty period cost

 • will this phone supports 4G??????????

 • the model shown is xt 1039 and yes they should include this

 • UK: XT1072 is known as Moto 4G LTE and XT1072. Please could you also include part numbers for all smartphones? Could you also enter a section for operating systems especially Android?

 • Great phone for the price. It doesn't compete with high-end handsets, but it doesn't intend to. The smaller form factor and rich list of features make this perfect for me. I have the first gen 4G version and rooted it and updated to Lollipop. Works like a dream. I love the freedom of Nexus devices. Unless you want a phone for games or photos, this can't really be beaten. A perfect every day phone. There is nothing it can't do.

 • Depends on what you want, but Moto G 4G, 2nd Gen., XT1072, 2015 is probably better than Moto G 2nd Gen., XT1068, 2014. XT1072: 4G future proof-Battery 2390 mAh instead of 2070 mAh. XT1068: 3G Dual SIMs, but XT1072 only one SIM. Amazon UK Prices: XT1068 = £135.89 & XT1072 = £149.99

 • I love my 4G moto g dropped it 3x and its still working although in my area 4g is slow

 • i will sell my phone as all phones before and after it recived android l. yet im still and 4.4.4

 • when will moto g 4g(2015) come to indian market? and what is it battery capacity and is it supports dual sim?

 • I was only interested in Motorola UK; XT1068 (Moto G 2nd Gen, 2014), and XT1072 (Moto G 4G, 2nd Gen 2015) latter was sold on Motorola UK, then Amazon UK, and now it is beginning to be sold by other sellers. The last hopefully correct information, which I heard from Motorola is that finally all the 2nd generation Moto G and 4G phones will come with Lollipop 5.0.2. First generation Moto series will probably have a longer wait to get Lollipop 5.0.2. But you can contact Motorola UK, and hope that they can give you a date when Lollipop 5+ maybe available for first generation (obsolete) phones - Good news yes, but the bad news they probably won't be able to tell you - you will probably know before they do with a message on your phones:

 • i got a Motorola because they promise early updates, 4 months after android 5.0 comes out and im still waiting for lolipop despite the moto g 2013 which is pretty much the same phone getting it already tricked again

 • everything about the phone is good like the great battery backup and great screen, the only draw back for me is the updates as even moto g 3g recived update to v 5.0 but mine is at 4.4.4

 • its really good product i feel the best phone is my lovely motoooooooooooooooooooooo g 4gggggg:)

 • Still no Lollipop! >:(

 • This is a great phone, really reliable and works great. I dropped it a few time and still no crack. I think overall this phone is the best in the market for it's price

 • I've just got my moto g 4 g & I LOVE it although it didn't come with an adapater I had to use my old phone's adapter to charge it which didn't really work, I had to go out and buy one for £12 and now it works perfectly no problems what so ever

 • Is moto G 4G which supports 4G network available in market. What is its price.

 • I have one, I have had it more than half a year, it is well worth it. It is very good. No problems. Cant complain. I had regular Moto G before.

 • If you can even get the LTE 2015 model it's only available in Brazil right now

 • Is it worth to buy this older version of Moto G LTE over the new Moto G LTE (2015)? (for the overall experience and the price difference)

 • Is it worthy to buy this old Moto G LTE over the new one? (I mean the overall experience and the price) Thank you!

 • The Moto G 2nd Gen has a bigger screen but lower resolution, so screen isn't as nice. Battery is the same in both, but the bigger screen on the Moto G 2nd Gen drains the battery faster. Moto G 2nd Gen has stereo front facing speakers, but that isn't good enough to make me switch from my Moto G 4G LTE as the Moto G 2nd Gen doesn't have LTE. Motorola may make an LTE version for worldwide distribution.

 • I leave my Moto G on 4G LTE and my battery is fine. I downloaded Juice Defender from Google Play and have it set to disable my data on screen blackout. that way it isn't connected to LTE when not in use.

 • What about it's battery backup...?

 • I like motorola technology , I would like to visit the firm of motorola Thinks

 • Which one is the best overall: MOTO G 4G or MOTO G(2nd generation)?

 • Which one is the best overall: MOTO G 4G or MOTO G(2nd generation)?

 • when will i get lolipop for moto g first generation and moto e

 • I got this Moto G 4G from bargain hunt. The owner got this great phone but unfortunately he was unable to fully unlock it's potential. He thought after unlock the bootloader it will be problematic. I can see his problem and battery draining fast. Actually this phone was real fine. 1st I reset it all to it to factory setting. 2nd in order to make it really fast, I would disable all bloatwares except Moto Assist and related apps. 3rd I go to Developer Option to disable all animation. 4th change 4G to 3G. After all these, it will be light, fast and energy saving. Yes, WiFi consumer lesser power than the Mobile Data, far lesser. In indoor 5% Brightness is all you need. Day time outdoor 30%~50% Brightness is all you need. Complete dark room, 0% !!! Camera can be optimize by either unlocking the Camera+ or Open Camera app(my favorite). Now only waiting for OTA 5.0.2 update. Hope this help. Cheers.

 • ist west less phone

 • you guys haven't updated to lollipop?. iam now running lollipop 5.0.2 in my Moto G 3g.update is available at XDA forums.

 • £129.99:on Three network,what a bargain for this little Beauty !

 • So buggy it hurts! The touch screen sucks and it's too heavy! Seriously, I keep going back to my rooted Galaxy S GT-i9000 from 2010. It's considerable slower but far more stable and convient with Omnirom (KitKat).

 • - Google Drive (50 GB cloud storage) -> this is not offered to this version.

 • Is this cell a eroupean version?

 • Use this if you want to reset to factory default:

 • Not sure though if a reset button exists like with other motorola devices, but look for reset button behind the back panel and reset it using a pin, that will not reset the data but will start your phone.

 • Hi guys! Any news about lollipop update for moto g lte?

 • is there chance of 4g version in dual sim?

 • Moto G 4G is better than the LG G" Mini because is stock android...

 • The Moto G will have a stronger antenna, louder speakers, limited water resistance, and a more solid feeling build over the LG G2 Mini, while the LG G2 Mini may have a better battery life and will definitely have a better camera. Can't comment on screen resolutions between the two as it's been awhile since I've seen the LG.

 • My droid 4G LTE will not turn on this morning. When plugged in the light is on showing fully charged however wont come on. It was on when I plugged in last night so any suggestions on how to get it to go on? Hilding down the on button is not working and I pressed the "resewt" button inside the left side rail. Help?

 • Which phone is bettet, this or LG G2 mini? Thanks

 • Thanks for the advice

 • Thanks for that, I'll definitely give it a try ;)

 • This is one amazing phone for its' price. My previous phone was a Samsung Galaxy S Advance and the specs were descend for its time...so I thought. It was horrible to use and that was when I switch to iPhone .. a premium cost but no lags, hangs and wasted time for reboot and multiple factory reset. Back to the Moto G LTE. With a budget in mind, I went searching for a smartphone for a virgin cellphone user. I want it to be lag free, quick response and has an IPS screen to enhance the experience for the user and not to get frustrated as I did with the Samsung. I am a technical guy and I will try to optimize all the equipment I buy. I won't go into too deep of the review because Merwin's review covers most of what I have to say. Good job bro ! The Moto G LTE comes with a near stock Android OS.. What does that mean ? I don't know how a stock Android OS is but all I can say is the OS is light without compromises. I rather have this than all the fluff and bluff of the other Android phone manufacturers. If you want your future phone to be quick, get this phone ! The microSD slot supports Class 10 cards without issues. Mine is a microSDHC 16GB. I haven't try the microSDXC and the UHS-I models. The pictures taken are fuzzy due to the Noise Reduction being too high on the camera app. There is a solution for it, to gain access to the hidden functions of the camera. Google how-to-unlock-advanced-camera-settings-t2884035. You can even activate face detection. The test pictures came out a lot clearer and more define. The Malaysian box set I got came with the phone with back cover, wall charger, cheap Motorola earphones and a screen protector. There is no USB data cable. The charger is 5V 500mA so it is a slow charger, good for overnight charging but it will take about 4-5 hours to charge from 0% to 100%. The longest the battery ever lasted with Wifi On and 10 calls was 3 days with vibration off. Hats off to Motorola !

 • this phne is awsom

 • Please update ur sim card into 4g sim card first before you can play with 4g. Go to tel center for upgarde. After that find area that have 4g.

 • Wonderful review. Thank you. Awesome! Also, I will add one thing. Get Juice Defender from Google Play. Set it up to disable LTE and mobile data when screen times out. Battery life increases significantly as LTE isn't on when the screen is black. :)

 • led blinks when you have notifications which you can control. in settings you can turn it off or on. some google play apps claim they can do more, i did not look into them.

 • Overall Review 9.0/10 Based on 3 months USE (Smooth and Extreme) 1- The phone is sleek and sick, the design is pretty lovely, it got a great performance for 1.2 GHZ Snapdragon and A7 Cortex, why people complaining about Camera, cause of the lightning or exposure ?, well I see it as "how to use" problem, use the camera proper you'll get the picture as the way you see it, no worries about Secondary Camera, its pretty good for a phone like that, as for game performance, I run games smooth with no lag, but always make sure you move your apps to SD CARD, and clear space as much as possible for your internal so you don't experience low performance, as for the charger issue and battery, when you're phone is below 20%, don't use anything at all, and keep your USB cable with you if you're going out for a long time, and the only thing I find it weird, is that Mobile Data consume battery, while wifi doesn't but after going on 3G (my country doesn't support 4g yet) it consumes less, if your phone suddenly shut down, do the volume power button trick, it always work, and my tip is when you get this phone, download "Google Now" it runs amazing on your phone and looking better than the Stock Android, and quick tip too if you cant move your music due to country (From Internal to SD Card) and if you want to make it available on Google Music App, Copy the audio file on your Internal, and make a new folder called "Music" then copy it inside, and move all your music, it will automatically sync. 2-Recommended Apps for your daily use phone: The Motorola Assist and Alert is one of the most finest apps I've ever seen in a phone, and it helps you very much. Google Now Google Camera (YES the phone got Gyro-sphere) Ringtone maker (For people who loves to create their own ring tone) Zedge (Of course everyone use it) You don't need office, you got quickoffice (FOR FREE) ES File Explorer (Best File Manager) Note App (No, Motorola doesn't Got the Note App Installed) Another Browser if you love to, but Google Chrome is amazing as usual. 3- Why it's a budget and cheap ? It doesn't come with a wall adapter and Headset (getting all including the cover and memory card , won't pass the budget themed phone), while its Google Product, (as if you're owning a cheap nexus phone) and getting the all updates from Google, while keeping on a price level that competes with big names, while preserving the name of Motorola, and getting Android L update too. 4- My Conclusion I've made my research carefully before buying a new phone, I was on a real budget that couldn't make afford big stuff, so I was checking budget priced phones and it all came to that, what made eager to get this phone is the price, because from where I come, prices are too heavy to handle, and I had the worst experience from an Xperia phone, so another reason I was changing, first of all I would like to say "Hats off" Motorola for making such a real good phone like this, everyone who moves to new phones, wants the phone that please their needs, and this one is a very smart purchase according to everyone I know, people been talking about how good the 1+1, why I would get a Beta phone by invite ?, while I can get a true brand name in Telecommunication Industry that was once owned by Google and now Lenovo, 5-Nevertheless; whoever got the Google Owned Phone is a lucky bastard and I am one of them, so hurry up and get it before a new theme phone made by Moto and Lenovo. Why its 9.0, because I never believed in 10/10. its 9.0 for the price, design and features, and performance, but it needs more enhancement on the mobile data battery. while its on LTE.

 • It's Google.

 • I don't think so. At least mine isn't and I got mine directly from Motorola USA Online.

 • Any info about the date of this getting Android 5 update? Is it going to be the same time as normal Moto G is getting the update?

 • You can buy it here:

 • How long is a piece of string!!

 • Hi. Can you tell me which telco do you use. I currently use celcom but my moto g cannot connect to 4g network

 • I need to buy this nobile but its not available plz hlp me

 • How long does this device last

 • It's definitely 4.5"

 • is moto g 4g compatible with 4g network in Pakistan

 • its 5 inch display in the official site.

 • Hey guys , is the led notification light running during standby mode? Can anyone explain in details how the led light works? Thanks

 • I would be interested to buy this device in Sydney - where did you get it from, Thanks.

 • As a user of the more high-end models of phones for the last years - I "settled" with this one, as the high-end phones now are becoming too large and bulky. The 4G and reasonable price and attractive specs did not dissapoint. The only problem I experienced is the poor camera quality. Wiko would be a better deal in this price-range if the camera is of concern. If you don't mind - this phone is fast, sturdy, perfect size and feels good in the hand. Love it.

 • you are totally wrong man ur fact unreasonable my moto g 4G show 4G signal at 75mbps at malaysia

 • well said bro!I 've been using it for 5 months

 • Worth smartphone from my exprience motoG 4G the best smartphone ive used support memory card slot fast accept new update n support 4G speed in my country..

 • You know nothing about band in ur country support 4G or not.. I got signal 4G in Malaysia 70Mbps testspeed!

 • Bought the phone a bit less than a week ago (Unlocked), and so far so good! The separate Motorola Shell cases that you can buy work extremely well! I've already dropped the phone twice (accidentally of course...) onto a tiled floor from around a meter high, and the phone has survived without a scratch. In the box I received a USB wall charger, USB cable, earphones, and of course the phone... Let me just say not to buy the phone for the earphones, as it's a budget phone and the earphones are horrible. 4G on Telstra works extremely well, as do calls. Operating speed is excellent as well, with the phone fully started and ready to use in 45 seconds! Android 4.4.4 KitKat is also extremely fluid and runs extremely well on the Moto G 4G hardware. The MicroSD card slot is a great addition to the 4G model as well. Also, Motorola has guaranteed that the first generation Moto G (including the 4G LTE model) will receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. All in all (in my opinion) the Motorola Moto G 4G is an excellent choice if you're looking for a semi-budget phone that performs extremely well.

 • yes, it is a budget phone. its $179 dollars what you think will come with it? but yes it only comes with usb

 • No you will not get 4g. Obviously if your operator doesn't supply a 4G connection, regardless of which phone you buy you will not be able to get 4G.

 • there's a fix now, you plug it in to the charger then hold down the volume down button together with the power button, for 120 seconds (over 2 minutes). The flash boot screen will display with normal reboot automatically selected. Press the volume up key to boot your phone. if this doesn't work charge your moto for 15 minutes then retry again. obviously this is a long process so it is much better just to keep your moto g charged

 • Sorry I do not play games. But whenever I move apps to SS CARD I experience the lag. So I keep all apps in internal memory

 • for something so simple as running out of battery while using it, they actually forgot to QA that properly and as a result it will just brick itself when it runs out of juice. It won't even charge. Google around the phrase "Moto G won't charge or turn on" and you'll see a lot. The solutions you see don't work for all who have had this issue. Me included.

 • don't get this phone. my moto g 4g is now officially bricked according to a moto technician. it just ran out of battery. pathetic.

 • Friend, can I transfer or, store my games into the external memory card ?? I love playing HD games which take a lot of space.. If I have to keep the games in the phone's internal memory, it'll be a problem.. Thanks.

 • i live in bangladesh.. our operator provides this type of network given in the below: 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 3G Network UMTS 900/2100 now my question is "Does moto g 4G support in my country..??" please answer...thank you..

 • yes thats all it is a budget phone

 • They dont include earphones and wall adapter because its a budget phone, everyone should own a pair or earphones/headphones an a wall adapter and keeping to the budget

 • yes it doesn't come with the items you mentioned

 • I bought Moto G 4G today and in the box there is the phone and a USB cable NO earphones??? Is this how it comes like? Please reply before i return it

 • I have Motorola RAZR the original battery is small and stared weak . I ordered new batter kit from Amazon it came with video . From video I learned how to change battery. I di changed battery to 3300 mah by myself. So do not worry much someone will be able to change battery for you. I am now using MOTO G 4 LTE

If you search more you will find instructions how to change battery . I have Moto RAZR. I change battery to 3300 mah by myself with the help of video from supplier. so try

 • my phone just died after 4 mos. it ran out of battery and won't charge anymore. i just get a steady solid white led notification light everytime i plug it in. it seems like this phone really dies (literaly won't come back to life with a charger) after losing battery charge. google around and a lot of people are complaining of this issue. poor implementation. i actually did enjoy it before it died tho. i guess this is the price for going cheap.

 • Yes

 • i have some questions..please answer them if u know.. :) 1. whats is the price of this phone in UK..?? 2. where can i buy it in london..?? please mention the address of showrooms of motorola or any online shop where i can buy a brand new motorola moto g 4G.. 3. how is the front camera??? 4. what is in the box?? 5. how is the battery backup..??? thanks in advance.. :)

 • With more and more cameras coming out with NFC/Wifi it wouldn't have hurt this device to have that feature.

 • Think Display specs are incorrect 2014 Model has 5" Display.

 • Does this phone come with a screen protector when you buy it? and also will a HTC usb charger work for it?

 • Yes

 • will it void the warranty if i install custom rom on this phone

 • Yes. This phone support OTG. you have to install E FILE EXPLORER MANGO or other file Manger to read you files.. i am using this phone every day

 • Does Moto G 4g support OTG

 • its approx 5.5 gb

 • This Moto G is an amazing device, battery can handle more than 24 h with moderate use, the design is flawless and it feels good in the hand whit its mat back cover, it never lags unless if you charge it with multiple tasks wish is normal to any device, quick and fast at tasks you will be disappointed, quite heavy but thats cool since everything is correct on its specifications, you may consider that 5 Mb is low average but personnaly i have no problem with that...you will never find everything perfect with this price range so think smart and buy it, the moto G 2014 may have 8 Mb but you get a much bigger/heavy device.

 • does it heat up soon ?

 • Moto g 4g

 • If you are going to be primarily in the USA, get the Moto G 4G LTE, so you can use the LTE available here in the USA.

 • I think about 5gb. Remember, you can use expandable memory on this model for your media.

 • Thnx man...!

 • Hi, I want to buy MOTO g2 but I have plans to go for study to US. So will the phone be compatible with that network.? Is it worth buying in this scenario costs apart?

 • I have this phone for 6 months. I don't play games but I installed lot of apps. Memory available is 5.5 GB. after all apps installed, I still have 3.6 GB left. I have 32 GB external memory on my phone. So far I have no problem with this phone.

 • I like to know how much usable memory do we get out of 8gb...plz answer.(i like to install apps and games on phone)

 • Friends, I'm going to buy a phone but my budget isn't high. Which phone will be better ??? Moto G 4G or, Galaxy Grand 2.. I heard grand 2 has some problems. My question is Can I store the games in the memory card ?? I love playing racing games.. Help me frndzz.

 • The Moto G 4G do not read the WAV.

 • MOTO G 4G i think it's better :)

 • I got my phone today.. But I can't found any option to open memory card.. I HV bkup in memory card..gallery shows photos n videos which is in memory card but not others like apps n music

 • moto g 4g

 • Hi friends I,ll select mob modals plz suggest me friends which one is best, I want to buy that mob.... 1.Sony Xperia M 2.Sony Xperia L 3.Moto G 4G

 • Hi all I would like to know is the Moto G 4G lte really read the wav or is it just for the ringtones? Because when I check on other website it is not always specified or some other said it is just MP3

 • Indian 4G network is not compatible with Moto G because in India, operators use 4G 2300Mhz band which is very rare and not popular. So most of the 4G mobiles do not support this band. Lets wait until the operators deploy 1800MHz global LTE band.

 • is in india moto g 4g network compatible

 • I have to give my Moto G 16GB to my brother, because his phone has problems and I got 1 of these, because they stopped making the basic Moto G 16GB. So I got a micro sd card with this 1. My question is the following. What stuff can we move to the Micro SD. Ofcourse stuff like music and movies, but can we move games to SD. If so, the whole games or just partially?

 • Hi ...I will answer your questions 1) does it support OTG..?? yes, It supports OTG(On The-Go) I found it in settings->storage 2) does it become hot while playing games..?? I played Asphalt 8 and I do not feel a big heat in the phone 3) how is the display quality in sunlight..?? Its amazing,I play tennis out door and the screen works excellent . 4) what is price of this phone in USD..?? Look in my country(Colombia-South America) the phones have a lot of taxes and the phones are unlocked so I paid too much.. I bought this phone in 235USD ..PS:On the Box motoG-LTE, Shell with FlipCover, Extra black Shell, NO headset, charger(NO data cable) - In my country we use European phones,I think Box content may vary by continent or conuntry but I'm not shure--- More: I got Earpods(apple) and works good, you can stop/play music and you can use "ok google", the volume buttons does not work.

 • thank you for your kind reply..please answer some other questions if you can.. 1) does it support OTG..?? 2) does it become hot while playing games..?? 3) how is the display quality in sunlight..?? 4) what is price of this phone in USD..??

 • I is an amazing phone, I bought this phone two weeks ago and The 4G TLE is really fast, Moto G 4G LTE is the bestest of low pricing 4G phones.

 • is it a dual sim or single sim?

 • i just got it and I love it. the previous phone was a 4.0.3 so 4.4.4 is also new. what i really like is the power management. i would say after 2 days, android finally learned "its not about the muscle, its about the brain". as far as i can tell, the phone with heavy usage (new phone so i use it really often), after one day is still 49%. the camera is awsome. not the best, but the whitebalance is good, even with flash. and the hdr auto makes surprisingly good pictures. the display is better then expected. i currently use it oves seas, in europe and the 3g upto 21mbps is working too and of course the 4g is not. the phone is fast, the memory and storage is fast, fast and do what a smartphone should do. i had to disable some unnecessary preinstalled apps, but nothing extra. the moto spotlight is annoying, but otherwise accepatble. at the moment i recommend for everybody.

 • I can't answer all your questions, but I'll answer what I can. I'm in the USA so I really don't know about price in other places. It should support video calling, such as Skype, as it has a front facing camera. The battery is pretty good. I get through a day of heavy use, but that's about it. If the phone hangs bad (probably won't) just turn it off and wait a little, turn it back on. Just like rebooting a computer. The speaker is in the back and loud, but nothing compares to the HTC One and it's dual speakers in sound quality. Calls are good and reception is good. Some of that depends on your carrier, however. You won't get LTE as the LTE bands are designed for North America, and may or may not get 3G.It doesn't get 1800 band 3G, only 2G, so unless you are in an are getting 900 band 3G, you won't get 3G. You would be better off getting the Global Version of the Moto G (1st or 2nd Gen).

 • Hi Guys just got my Moto G with card slot. Question can I use my existing Sat Nav which is Co-Pilot?

 • does motorolla will reduce moto g 2nd gen ph cost at d time of diwali? anyone guess it so?.....

 • I have XT1039 Moto G LTE model (8Gb) Can anyone tell me if this NModel has a working micro - HDMI TV out port so I can get a TV adapter to show output on my TV? If it does - can anyone name the compatible TV adapter that will work please!

 • i have some questions about it.. 1) Does it suppports 3g video calling that means native video calling..?? 2) Does it support 3g network in bangladesh..?? 3) Is it available in Thailand..?? how is the price..?? 4) How is the battery backup of this phone..?? as it has a non removable battery, if the phn hangs what to do then..?? 5) How is the sound quality both in calling and music..?? thanx in advance.. :)

 • Yes. It supports up to 32gb, but can probably handle 64gb. Just make sure you get a decent memory card. It's been having issues reading cheap no name brands. I have a 32gb card in mine and it's been just great. :)

 • is this phone has an extended card slot!!!!

 • This phone is NOT dual sim, according to Motorola Live Chat

 • Been asked already, but does anyone know if this is dual sim?

 • Sorry, didn't read your question all the way. If they come out with an LTE Moto G 2nd Generation, it will probably follow the same pattern of pricing and be around $220. At least that's what I've been hearing.

 • The new Moto G 2nd Generation is on the Motorola website for $179.99. It's a great price, but I don't want to give up my LTE, and I like my screen size just fine. I'll pass. :)

 • K thnk u and you expected how much cost of the moto g 2nd gen lte

 • what about dual sim.

 • amazing phone....!!!!! :) cheers :))

 • very good

 • I think the Moto G 4G is a great phone and a good value of money as well. I've got it a month ago and so far no bad issues yet. I often stream videos ie. Netflix, Youtube etc. and quality is pretty good!

 • Another thing, the camera isn't great, but not as bad as a lot of reviewers say it is. Will it compare to the Samsung Galaxy S5 or high end Nokia Luminas? Nope, but it works just fine for posting to Facebook, instagram, and such. The shutter is slow, but in good lighting you can get good pictures. As a real example, myself and two friends were at a festival earlier this year. The sun was bright. My pictures were coming out quite a bit better than my friend with his Note 3. My other friend had a Samsung Galaxy S4, and my pictures under those conditions were only slightly inferior to hers. Just a real perspective. Moto Gs or even the Moto Xs don't have great cameras. If you take a lot of pictures and really need a good camera, you should probably get a camera. :)

 • I'm very happy with my Moto G LTE and am not even considering the 2nd Gen Moto G. It brings no improvement other than front facing speakers. The new Moto G has a bigger lower resolution screen which I'm certain will result in a worse battery life. The new one also doesn't have LTE. If I didn't have either and had to chose, I would get the Moto G LTE. That said,if you aren't in a hurry, I would wait awhile and see if Motorola releases a newer 2nd Gen Moto G with LTE as a follow up to the one just released. :)

 • I will get either this phone or the 2nd gen, but will there be any major downsides with this phone? I'm pretty sure this will have better battery life then the new one, but the camera is pretty bad though. I don't really need LTE since I don't have data, but sometimes I do like to have internet access in certain places so I get data addons.

 • It's not waterproof, but water resistant. Don't throw it in the pool, but it will be fine if you need to make a phone call in the rain.

 • Well, you're right, but my connections at Moto did tell me that the reason the Moto G LTE was made was because of user demand as Motorola didn't expect the Moto G to sell as well in the US as it did. The Moto X was supposed to do that, but was priced too high. The Moto G was designed primarily for emerging markets that largely lacked LTE, so LTE wasn't built into the first Moto G to keep costs down. You're right, they didn't used to care much about what the customers wanted, but they listened on this. :)

 • Yes, you can move apps to SD Card. I don't know if you can with all apps, but I have moved a bunch to SD Card. As far as downloads, speed is good but that also depends on your carrier as well, or the wifi you are using.

 • Short answer, yes. Just watched the movie "Blade" on mine.

 • Si, consulta en la pagina de motorola e ingresa a soporte y chatea con un asesor el te dira que hacer para validar las 50GB

 • Google Drive 50GB Promo is not eligible on Play Store Edition or 4G LTE!

 • This item what is the available in india ? I want this item

 • Is this available at the Philippines?

 • For the price this is a great phone. It is fast and has just had a 32gb memory card popped in. How I wished some of my previous phones could of done that. The company I work for are that impressed they are rolling this model out to our staff.

 • Can moto g 4g can playing movies such as world war z without lag?

 • First time so happy with a mobile phone. It is excellent and not only for its price. The battery lasts easily over 2 days with mixed use (Wi-Fi internet access only), the GPS is fast even in difficult situations, the speaker is loud and clear, the display is more than good and generally it is fast enough for what I need. Even the camera is not so bad in good lighting conditions (haven't really tested it in low light). Also it's size and weight are good and one-hand friendly. Nice job Motorola, I certainly recommend this phone!

 • Are motorola phones available in Namibia?

 • what Price it is in india....i am waiting for 4G phones.....

 • Well, Chinese-owned Motorola is selling phones all over the world, not just in the States (and non-Americans might want 4G too...). It's quite common to release a 3G version first, and then an upgraded 4G version (e.g. Xiaomi's Redmi Note, which just has had its 4G version released), and the 4G Moto G is selling exceptionally well on Tesco's new 4G network here in the UK. A few years back I used the (excellent) Atrix 4G, it was very clear that back then the US-owned Motorola couldn't care less about its users and what they wanted...

 • can anyone tell me how fast does it download apps and also if there is an option to move to sd card

 • Is this Moto G 4g Version Available in India....??

 • Only 8 Gb, as far as I know from other sites. But you can use a supplementary micro SD card that increases the capacity up to additional 32 GB. the micro SD card works better in with Android 4.4.4. - the updated version of Kit-Kat.

 • I want to use it ....

 • I want it

 • Dope phone I'd say up to bar with iPhone 5.

 • For the price. Hands down its an awesome little phone. You don't have to worry about it getting wet. Also this phone has slow motion video capture which is a feature I have only seen on more expensive smart phones. Its a great value for its price. I got two for my kids. Its even cheaper then iPods and does even more with their HD displays. Expandable storage is nice to have as well.

 • Lol

 • What is the internal memory in your phone 8gb or16gby?

 • Flipkart the great ecom... Replaced my moto g, which had small issues like needed to tap more then twice, and gallery was not showing all folders, they sent me latest Aug make device kitkat 4.4.4 out of the box, really great so thanku flipkart and Motorola moto for such a wonderful phone in my hand.

 • please any one say that motto gi 4g is waterproof phone ?

 • Bought Moto G last week and was constantly having problems keeping the phone connected to network. Today got OS System update to 4.4.4. Now connectivity issue is fixed. Was about to return the device.

 • I just got an update OS to 4.4.4. I don't know what changes made yet. I live in Indonesia but bought this phone in US in early July

 • nyc app

 • Hello, In the specs there is a 16gb version. Did motorola announced a 16gb version? Regards

 • This device is "LTE" for the USA. It was designed for the USA because the Moto G sold better in the USA than Motorola expected. USA users complained that the only drawbacks were lack of LTE and expandable storage. Since Motorola is based in the USA, they listened to what the people wanted and designed the LTE version for the USA. It's similar to how Samsung and LG both release certain devices primarily for the locals. :)

 • I believe that price is for the non-LTE version

 • Motorola will have news conference on Sept 4. That time you will know Moto release few new phone. May be bigger screen .

 • The thing is why they r not giving the 5 in Screen bcz now days this screen is very popular in every mobiles

 • all the creativity on specs but forgot the battery. minimum 3000 mah required.

 • Wow, why this phone is so expansive in USA. Some canadian stores like futureshop actually sell it for 122$ w/o any contract.

 • But batter was not removable so how to change the battery...dear

 • with in one month

 • When can I expect this mobile in India. Pls reply me.

 • Don't worry about battery. It will last you for 2 years. By that time you want to change the phone. I have Motorola X 10. Ayer 2 years I bought a replacement battery from Amazon. I came with video instructions. I changed the battery by myself. Now 2 years with replaced battery I am still using the phone. most of high end phone now a day comes with non removable battery .

 • what about non-removeable battery. any one plz clarify.

 • if its LTE US model, buying 4G only makes sense if you are opting for sd card slot, it doesnt have 2300 band to support Indian LTE

 • LTE version has sd card slot

 • LTE wont work in India, but you can get option of SD card in it India LTE requires 2300

 • Actually, motorola moto g lte has a card slot, so info is good

 • if battery of moto g expires then the repairing is costly or not ? because battery provided with moto g is non removable...

 • Love this phone. volume adjustable, great photo's, fast internet response, great screen, easy to read, such a bargain. My last phone was an HTC, wouldn't swap back to that especially when considering cost. So user friendly. I am able to charge it on my existing micro-charger that I bought for my HTC.

 • very good phone web is fast very smooth

 • will 4g lte band compatible in India..what is the band specification in india

 • You have posted a wrong information about the memory card slot which is not available

 • i want it and bcoz it's damn gd bro..,...,

 • Comparing to old Galaxy S (CM rom). Moto G Audio output quality is lower, screen is little less sensitive, phone feels too heavy, vibrates too loud. Otherwise Perfect phone! Great screen, gps and it's fast.

 • hey guys, I am loving to moto 4G, I'm also very curious about this phone. As I haven't operate any touch phone so far, as I've been waiting for touch phone since a long time, ....just wanna know whether we would able to buy this phone in India or not.......? if yes..then when....?

 • Right in my hand!, freaking awesome phone, excellent interface and nice display resolution, i`ll coment a new experience in a couple of weeks

 • YES

 • i chek this Motorola Moto G 4G, trail.. is very verry good.

 • concerned with mobile "moto G" unable to support 4G bandwidth network in UK????

 • Motorola Moto G 4G available in dual sim...???

 • Plz anyone tell me when this phone is comen to india

 • There are some users on Moto x forum complaining about call volume too low after update whereby the person on the other end cannot hear them as good. Does this handset suffer from same?

 • can u please be more specific.

 • the only accurate way to describe this phone is if you compare the original moto g to intercourse, this phone is the moto g bareback edition

 • It does come with a charger via usb port but the package does not include a wall adapter

 • Hi is the phone has dual sim version, and is this phone available in saudi?

 • Lack of charger lowered the price of device on the market. It's not like you don't have USB ports.. That who wants faster charging will buy the charger.. Those satisfied with USB will not. 3.0 gives 0.9A which is enough.

 • I am glad of the KitKat update now i can use my class 10 sd card had to use the drop down on the main screen to format the card it now works a treat.

 • Very very very surprised and disappointed that the phone doesn't come with charger. What a company?

 • When will be the Moto G 4G be available in India. I'm planning to buy the Moto G 16gb version. But the Moto G 4G caught my eyes and now i am in a dilema. Need help to decide weather to wait or go for Moto G 16gb.

 • Seems like the 4.4.4 update is a hit and miss for most people. I regularly check the Motorola forum and also this xda forum ( ). Glad that it worked out for you. Please post here if you encounter the problem again. Anyway, I am still waiting for the phone to be released here in India. I am running out of patience.

 • You are an eejit Apple fanboy. I have a Samsung Galaxy S i9000, running Jelly Bean, in great condition from 2010. Even what are considered cheap phones are built to a very high standard these days and they are all built by the same companies like foxconn. What matters is how you use and care for your equipment, put it in a tough cover and clean it regulary - great advice for ALL your equipment.

 • does this moto g support multi touch?

 • if you are looking to use a mobile for 4yrs thats too long for a smartphone to survive these days however get a iphone its build quality with excellant battery life will serve your purpose...well you cannot get iphone 5 or 5c/s in that price but get a iphone 4 or 4s that will just do fine ..

 • motorola please make mobile with dual sim type in higher end models like motox if you make moto x in dual sim its very useful to all and worthfull. my config is dual sim, 1.5gb ram, 8/16 internal memory, and expendable memory, and 8 or 13 mp camera 5"gorilla glass display,2mp front camera pls consider it

 • Thanks. I got the 4.4.4 update from Motorola this morning and, so far, it seems to have solved my SD card problems. However, there are still quite a few people on the Motorola forum saying it has not worked for them.

 • I waited for 3 months...i have decided to go with standard moto g and to buy a otg device to backup files in sd card...

 • TRY THIS SOLUTION. It might work. Got this from the motorola forum. PLEASE REPLY IF IT WORKS. I'm curious. Permalink: ------------------------ Vlady: "Try to format the card on pc put mp3 on it or other file phone can read and try again. Worked for me" ------------------------- nnMartin: "Hallo thanks, Now is my SD card working. It seems to me that there is some issue with internal formatting software as well. With 4.4.3 was my brand new SDHC Sandisk 32GB Class 10 USH-1 not working. I upgraded to 4.4.4, put there empty SD card previously formated in PC and formatted it in phone. But card wasnt working. I tried to format it again in PC but PC was not able to mount it. I tried 2 another PCs but it seems that card was damaged. I was very frustrated as it look like Moto G had damaged my new card. But fortunately Ive got old Nokia Phone, and as last attempt Ive got idea to read it in this old Nokia. And old good Nokia was able to mount the card and I was able to format it again. Then I put it in PC and copied some stuff on it as you recommended and it was working!! Thanks for advice. And lesson learnt do not format your SD card in Moto G and do not insert empty card either." ----------------- SimonDK: "I installed 4.4.4 on the 25th, and am now happy to report the above mentioned Sandisk has been used without a flaw for past two days. cool. Have set the options for camera, music players and more to use the sd card for storage, but not moved apps to the card. Have not cleared cache, have not done factory reset. Have not formatted card in phone but on pc and added a few files before insertion, as someone suggested. I was really sceptical before, as I read the cases here where posters who had non-working card even after 4.4.4 install seemed very often was the Sandisk one like my own.." ---------------------------

 • Anyone know when this will release in India? I was wondering whether I should wait for this phone or just go with the standard Moto G. I really want that SD card slot. I'll get about 12 GB usable space from the 16 GB version of standard Moto G, which I dont think will be enough for my needs. But at the same time I am deeply disturbed about the SD card compatibility issues in the 4G model. Most of the class 10 cards doesnt seem to work, so far.

 • The details of my cards were in my original post.

 • If you think I'm the only one with this problem, I suggest you look at Motorola's own forum. I gave a link to it in my original post. But as you seem to have missed it the address is: There are still loads of people with the SD card problem - many even after the update to 4.4.4 which was supposed to fix it. There are also many reports of the problem from other owners around the web. For instance dozens of people posting reviews on Amazon.co.uk Oh! and if that's not enough proof for you - Motorola itself has admitted the problem here and on it's own forum. You couldn't have looked very hard, assuming you live on the same planet as the rest of us!

 • Moto g 4g when launch this phone in india

 • can u please tell me the cost of 4lte version u bought from amazon in ruppees?

 • I dont think so motorola is going to or interested in launching Moto g 4g in india as it has be earlier launched in US & UK a month ago. Moto e, Moto g & Moto x are their outstanding contenders here in india but I dont know what are their strategies for this phone, only motorola n god knows that... they are losing ther shares n money with mi3 n asus. All the best moto

 • i want to buy smartphone in range of 10k to 14k ...as i will be using these phone fr next 4 yrs pls suggest me phone wd a good battery backup n i prefer android only...plssss help me

 • I use my xperia m charger which is a charger with usb plug in, but my Samsung one works just as well.

 • Yes you can install apps on the sd card, if you install Mobiledit on your PC you can do do a lot more things besides.Tip open settings go down to about phone scroll down to build and tap on build 7 times, opens developments in settings, tick usb debugging.

 • Can anyone confirm if you can install apps on the SD card? If not, I'll need to wait for the 16GB to go on sale in the UK

 • I bought mind from Amazon. Universal version. No charger. There's only data cable in the box. Thevphone is very good for that price.

 • were 2 buy ????

 • when launch this mobile in INDIA

 • when this phone will be available in Gulf I am waiting for this phone

 • Got mine yesterday, nice phone looks and feels great. Was quite a shock when I realized that it doesn't come with a charger. After adding MOBILedit enterprise to my PC I can do most things with the phone, makes it a lot easier to add and delete stuff and backup my SD card. All in all I really like the phone and would recommend it.Ordered it at 13-30 pm Friday and it arrived 10-40 am Saturday from Phones4U.

 • @mjm any issues with 4g access in Portugal?

 • At Phones4U £139-95 delivered.

 • where it is availble to buy?

 • Losing my hope about this one. waiting for along time but no news qbout its release date. can any one know about the release date of this phone in india.

 • The update to Android 4.4.4, now rolling out in phases globally, has software improvements that should address occassional problems reading or recognizing SDcards on Moto G 4G/LTE. Memo Motorola Support

 • what your brand sd card u use and what class...hope ur information can help the problem for sd card :)

 • You have posted this exact comment word for word at numerous websites. A Google search indicates the only reports of a micro SD problem are your posts. Why report a problem that doesn't exist? Chinese Counterfeit microsd cats often fail to work in any device.

 • where u got this phone

 • moto g 4g is dual sim

 • on which side it is available . kindly tell me please

 • It's already available at Ipmart.com.my. It cost about RM 730+ with Motorola warranty upto 1 year.Trust me this site is trustful. I've orded an Xperia J last year and recieved it in good condition.

 • Is it going to to be launched in india or not if yes then when plz reply soon

 • I like motorola g 4g mobile

 • Put the mp3 file that u want to use as ringtone into "ringtone" folder under internal storage.

 • It's a good phone,no hanging issue,i purchase this phone last month end of the june.

 • Lelong already got this phone... Rm759 from Directd

 • I ordered mine tuesday from Orange Portugal and it arrived on thursday. It does not play mp3 as your ringtone unless you have some mp3 rings app installed. Great phone; no problem with the microSD card whatsoever.

 • I don't know man. I'm a Malaysian too. I've googled regarding your question. Soyacincau says it will be released this Friday. Not sure if it's true. Can't wait for this phone!

 • I have also had the SD Card problems reported by others. I bought this phone from Tesco in the UK a week ago and in many ways it is very impressive. It is smooth, responsive, the screen is very good and ALMOST everything works as it should. However, potential buyers need to be aware that it has been launched with a problem regarding the SD card slot (a major feature of the new model). My first card (a SanDisk 32 GB class 10) would not work in the phone, despite being fine in other devices. On researching the issue I came across this thread on Motorola's Community Forum: It appears this is a very common problem for users - particularly, but not exclusively, for those trying to use high speed SD cards. Some slower speed cards seem to work for some users. Motorola has admitted there is a fault and said there will be a software fix, but are presently being a bit vague about how and when it will be fixed. For me switching to a Samsung 32GB Pro MICRO SD MEMORY CARD CLASS 10 UHS-I did the trick. It works fine for me so far. However, if you are considering buying now, be aware that you may need to either fiddle around with SD cards till you find one that works, or wait for a fix to come from Motorola. You can read about if for yourself on the above forum and make up your own mind. Incidentally I tried to paste a review of the phone on Tecso's website which said exactly the same as above and they have so far blocked it without explanation. However, I think their customers and people generally have the right to know and decide for themselves.

 • Will this phone work on 4G networks in Caribbean? (Which are basically run off Erickson equipment...)

 • testing completed

 • plz tell me when moto 4g lte relese in INDIA.

 • It will not get 4G in India. It was made with 4G for North America and uses those bandwidths. It may not even get 3G in India.

 • But will that work in India...???

 • B&W P3s aren't quite "high quality", mate.

 • The LTE band supported for this phone is not supported by operators providing 4G support. At least this is what I could make out from some internet sites. In India LTE is band 40(2300Mhz). Which is not supported by MotoG LTE. SO cant use 4G in India with this phone.May be that is the reason Motorola has not launched this product in India. Please correct me if I am wrong.

 • Moto G 4G problems - Various big brand and no name MicroSD cards not recognised by phone! Particularly doesn't seem to like Class 10 UHS-1 rated cards! Also a problem with headphones, some like B&W P3s not recognised as connected. Cheap ass stereo ones seem to be ok, plug in high quality phones and it's a gamble! I'm considering returning mine even though it's my backup phone.

 • I just bought Moto g 4G universal model from Amzon 2 days ago. It is a good phone. Have not use it that much yet

 • Why wait until released in India buy direct from Motorola or from Amazon job done

 • the Z10 blackberry is far better value in Indonesia

 • do anyone have any idea on release date of MOTO G lte i neeed to buy a mobile in 10-15 days at any cost so can anyone tell me if it would be available by then

 • Any news about the 16GB version? When will it be available?

 • i went and brought one of these the other day, this was the first time i used a motorola device and i was very impressed with the performance and build quality also was happy to see 4G logo.. i am still using it and plan to try out the moto x and try and get the g soon

 • When is it coming in india plz tell a date as i need to buy a phone on urgent basis it will b available in 7-10 days then i should wait but it not i would look for another mobile

 • Please note that Motorola has added the gyroscope sensor to the 4G edition of Moto G. This means this phone is able to capture Photo Sphere with the Google Camera app.

 • There is a major issue with this phone: Many users (including myself) are finding that there is an SD Card problem, in that the phone randomly rejects working SD cards and they cannot be made to work with the phone. Motorola are 'working hard on a solution' but haven't yet given a date for a fix. I would avoid this phone until this issue is rectified. Motorola have now admitted there is a problem and you canpost here for updates and to help them build a solution/ put pressure on them to fix the issue:

 • when will it release in india?? nobody knows the!!! :(. I am now thinking of buying moto g 16gb. which features are added in 4g version except 4g and sd card slot?? and one more question. will it get next android update called android "L"???

 • Lot of people work away from their hometown. So they need to have two connections to avoid roaming problems. SO dual phone will be convenient for them.

 • My opinion is 16Gb version. Better.

 • Moto G 16gb or Moto G 4G 8GB? Moto G 4G 8gb is only available to me in my country.

 • When is it coming in india plz tell a date as i need to buy a phone on urgent basis it will b available in 7-10 days then i should wait but it not i would look for another mobile

 • Upper midrange, but another success from Motorola. I have a higher end device, though.

 • no b'coz moto g 4g phone have inbuilt battery only

 • b'coz few people can't carry at the time two phones

 • Sometimes people get a mobile number from their offices for official purpose only. Their company pays its bills, and then they have a personal number as well where they don't want any official calls. These people have to carry two SIM cards. Dual sim phones make their life easier

 • i REALLY REALLY like want this phone??? is any one aware when the moto G 4G will be available in the middle east??? please? your answer will be much appreciated.

 • no nfc in the moto g 4g lte

 • is there option to change the battery.... plz reply fast

 • Moto G 4G LTE it does have the option but it will depend on your carrier because some of them block that option in the phone.

 • Im planning to buy this from my twins in Canada ~ then using it Indonesia cause cant wait no more XD

 • PraPat we advice to wait until the model is available through local carriers to ensure 100% compatibility.

 • Here are all the bands- Global GSM Model: GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz) UMTS/HSPA+ up to 21 Mbps (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz) Requires a microSIM card (not included) CDMA Model: CDMA/EVDO Rev A (850, 1900 MHz)

 • Does Moto G 4G come with NFC? cuz i dont see it in specs session. Thanks

 • For those of you upset about the specs or remarking about Motorola releasing such a low specced phone: Motorola also sells the Moto X, which has much higher specs (and is also about twice the price, depending on configuration). I think it's a great thing that Motorola is releasing fewer phones; the glut of options from Samsung et. al. is just more confusion that most shoppers (and arguably Android as a whole) do not need.

 • But it doesn't support microSD 32 GB class 10. My Samsung Galaxy SIII mini GT-I8190L does.

 • The Moto G 4G model XT1040 doesn't work with microSD 32 GB class 10.

 • Why would you need two sim cards?

 • It is not a status thing. Its just easier to carry one phone. Simple.

 • Why is dual sim so important in India? Is it a status thing? This is a serious question - please answer.

 • Could someone please upload the LTE bands this phone supports?

 • Currently available @ Good Guys in Australia $298RRP - Great 4G phone for its price. Quick and responsive =3

 • Single, unfortunately.

 • Its already released in Canada

 • Whether it is dual sim or single sim phone(India) please answer.

 • It's already July. When will it be released?

 • When its going to be in India?????

 • What about service

 • This phone is a fantastic piece of kit, it runs incredibly smooth and fast and out performs many flagship phones it goes up against. I work in the mobile industry and shift a lot of these daily!!! For a budget mid range handset its great. Anyone who says it isn't either doesn't understand or is a phone snob!!!

 • Will this model bought in USA work in India Thanks

 • Aaand $200 more

 • get nexus 5

 • Madamot ang motorola sa high mp ng kamera. The motorola moto g creator must give high megapixel of the camera. 5mp is too far from other competitor from the market which buyers are considering the highest megapixel of camera. Motorola is a branded name which doesnt make any sense in competing their product in a low to medium smartphone creations.

 • they need to concentrate of mid to high tier, phones. there known as budget phones. maybe a snapdragon 800, 13 meg cam. 5" screen.

 • Time for Moto G2, 8mp camera with OIS, 4.8 screen Full HD screen, S800 processor, expandable storage and andriod LLLLLLLL.

 • Will moto g get the android L version??

 • when it realease in INDIA

 • With this price tag you're expecting high end spec? For what? Bro the performance of this phone is top notch, even better with other flagship phones. If you want high end specs you can buy other brands but still the same performance with this 'cheap' phone by motorola.

 • I'm not sure if you noticed, but this is their mid-entry level phone for people who want cheap phones without a contract. They have many other flagships with much higher prices, if that's what you're interested in.

 • It probably has a better battery and the software might be changed to save the battery

 • Actually this little phone is one of the top rated models of 2014. And its currently the second best selling unlocked phone on amazon. This is a big swing by motorola to regain a foothold in the cell phone market. Don't let the specs fool you. This phone goes head to head with models twice its price.

 • Actually this little phone is one of the top

 • hey does the 4g lte model consumes more battery than the normal 3g model?? .............anyone plzzzz reply

 • i do not know if Motorola is still competing in the mobile market or just simply existing??? coming with this very mean specs as part of your latest model, i just could not reconcile whats in your head...because other brands are competing on the top for higher specs, here you are flagging your latest model with super cheap in specs...you are no different with the walking zombies in field of phone competitions.

 • wait! wait! wait!

 • moto G is now rckg .

 • I wonder whether you are from Mars or some distant planet. Probably you want the phone for £10 or free. Do a market survey of mobile phones in its class [Sony Xperia T ,the Sony Xperia SP ,LG Optimus L9 II or the Samsung Galaxy S III] and see if you will still hold on to your warped view afterwards. Cheers.

 • BIGGEST NEGATIVE - nonremobable low capasity battery -for LTE phone - very bad - why motorola selling cheap chinese made "junk" 2014 ?

 • Today this phone is available in uk for £160. may be i think it has that much value compare to the other branded phones . it is a resonable price. waiting for it when motorola launched this one. any news about its releasing date in india.

 • At £160 this is expensive for a device that has hardly any decent features, should have been more like £100. It won't sell.

 • Why can't anyone post the lte bands the universal version will support?? Is it too much to ask for?

 • What happened to the """confirmed""" 22nd June release date for the U.K ? I still can't fine it for sale. Anyone want a 7 day old Moto G 16gb ?

 • i hv seen this phone is available on amazon.com...can i buy this from that website...reply plz..!!!

 • Processing power is not a limitation for simple storage. 64GB (capital letters for gigabytes) is a limitation of the Secure Digital 2.0 (SDHC) specifications.

 • When this phone will be available in Qatar Exact Date???

 • Because of 1.2ghz quad core A7 and only Adreno 305! 64gb would be too much for its processor!

 • When will the moto g 4g lte version will be available in India.....I am waiting for the lte version to buy it so kindly tell the exact date

 • Notification light?, when it come to other countries.

 • Been using the Moto G for about 6 months now and it is simply the best value for money phone out there 100% .The moto g is a phone that is waterproof ( ish ) better screen than an iphone 5s ( higher rez and a 4.5" screen ) , very loud speaker ( front and rear ) , 1-3 days battery life , an ok 5 meg camera with flash , runs pure android ( and will receive updates sooner than any other phone there is ) the moto g is buttery smooth and fast with no lag EVER ! , notification L.E.D. and all this fits in your pocket easily .Best case for the moto g is either the otterbox commuter case or a sline gel case .The otterbox case is really the best as it simply makes the phone bullet proof lol ...

 • Mostly by mid july.. It will be made available in India by flipkart only again and you can purchase one online.

 • when will Moto G 4G be released in middle east or other eastern countries?

 • Thanks for reply....Anonymous

 • when release in india

 • You can't buy it anyway. Look at amazon's note at the bottom. Can only be shipped to the 50 US states.

 • Anybody know why only 32gb card supported? Why cant I use say a 64 or 128 like I can in my camera or computer?

 • LTE 21 Mbps? :(

 • Loving this device! I also own the non LTE 16gb Moto G, which is also good. This LTE Moto G with expandable storage is great. another bonus is the ability to switch off LTE if you choose to do so. That way, you don't drain the battery when you aren't using LTE. Great device.

 • No there is only 8gb version but you can use your micro sd card(up to 32gb SDHC)

 • The 4G LTE version only has the 8GB option, but it adds MicroSD comatibility up to 32GB.

 • will moto4g be available for Indonesian android user, we really need great affordable smartphone.

 • It would be perfect if it had the infrared (to use as a remote control) and digital TV and battery 2500mA.

 • Do you know if this version Would work ok on Claro Colombia network?

 • I agree. I like to keep a spare, Justin Case. I don't suppose it'll be long before we can replace 'em,,,, although I heard that there aren't any spare ones available yet, only enough to use in new units.

 • ITS CONFIRMED! This new MOTO G 4G have a Gyroscope sensor!

 • does this phone have 16 gb of internal memory? in all web pages only appears with 8 gb option.

 • Would that be ok with Argentina also?

 • Waiting for its 4G version launch since almost 2 months.Plssssssssss make it soon.

 • All quad band GSM phones would work anywhere in world. USA uses 2 GSM bands and India other 2. many triband phones also bought in USA would work in India. However if you are purchasing the phone in USA under contract then it will be locked - you need to take care of unlocking.

 • Pls come to india i'm waiting .............

 • its launch date is nt clr... as it expected by the end of this month. we can hope that it vl launch India in the end if june or beginning of july :-)

 • The specifications of Moto 4G model is nice but it has a drawback i.e 1 GB RAM and the 5 MP camera and the secondary camera as well. Taking consider into this, we expect this mobile to be launched with 2 GB RAM and greater pixel camera.

 • In India we do not have 3g network throughout the country and only certain cities have 4G distribution. Reliance jio has acquired sspectrum licence for 4G LTE. Which they are currently setting up. It will take some years to get 4G Long term evolution. But now certain handsets already have the compatibility of 4G network.this phone will be a and it is highly market dependent of 4G. The 3G model is a hit in India.

 • Are u sure? when will it be releasing.... And approx. price in dollars? thanks :)

 • What I like about Motorola is they rock on without wanting to be the best and have the biggest screens and 10 million cores etc. They also don't try and force recognition upon themselves like Apple/Samsung I got a Moto X. Not the best specs but it has got official 4.4.2 and it is yet to stutter or lag. And I am a power user !!

 • Moto G2 (2014, Q4) *.4.7″ screen *.New Android 2014 Os *.Dual SIM *.Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 *.1.2GHz Quad-Core CPU *.2MP front/8MP rear camera *.WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 *.Corning Gorilla Glass *.microSD, up to 64 GB *.16GB internal storage *.1.5GB RAM

 • LG g2,g pro 2, z1 and also recently z2 also has 2300 band LTE

 • It has dual sim option and seriously bro expecting 2gb ram from such a price phone is like going to china and asking for freedom .lol

 • Its nice to see the mobile in a very affordable price. But I feel that the mobile should have a 2 GB RAM in it for its better performance since the memory is according to the users requirements and it should also have an option of Dual SIM in it.

 • Motorola US preorder price is $219. Amazon date the release as June 3.

 • its still own by google eventhough google sold it to lenovo. i cant remember when lenovo will take over but right now google owns motorola.

 • Lenovo brought Motorola from Google

 • Lenovo owns Motorola. They purchased Motorola from Google back in January 2014.

 • i dont think it will cost that much..if 8GB variant of MOTO G 4G LTE cost around 13K then 16GB will cost around 15K

 • Guys i see in other web site this new Moto G have a gyroscope. Someone can confirm this? Thanks.

 • No, India uses TD-LTE as of now (band 40 or 2300MHz) The LTE version of Moto G is for UK/US. Only iPhone 5S/5C works on LTE in India. If you really need that LTE edge, you have to look out for LTE phones made for China Mobile(a Chinese carrier which also uses TD-LTE band 40) They have a lote of popular phones with TD-LTE compatibility. Hope this helps!

 • No microSDXC support! But Still a great deal for $219. Would've been better too see a SnapD 800 in there.. just kidding!
