I had this phone when it first came out and to be honest it was in a class of its own, the only thing that let it down was the poor battery life, a full charge would only last 12 hours and most of that time was on standby. They did try to help this situation by providing a second battery but who wants to carry a spare battery everywhere they go. Othere than that as i said it was in a class of its own with many new features many would not have had before.

Its a rubbish fone I've been using for the last 3 years cuz I am so used to it. The Blue tooth wont work, never has, never will. It has no GPRS, only 3G's data service, so forget GPRS, as it has no GPRS so no MMS, cuz MMS works with GPRS technology. ITs huge and the battery standby time is useless. It wont give delivery report cuz the setting is ghosted out. About the signal issue. Its the crappy reception and nothing else, it has terrifically bad reception. And it wont accept the new Ufone sims, I can go on and on about it. Ya and there's no code unlock solution either, urs has been unlocked by soldering something inside. Awesome, aint it. Throw it, get an LG for 2300 Rs, that has more functions that actually work!

bluetooth doesn't work on it for some odd reason, despite the hype about it. seems like most telcos sll models that don't support it. as for the voice recorder, dumb as it may sound, it doesn't let you play the sound back on the phone as far as I can see. you'll need to download the file to a PC and play it with RealPlayer.

the nec e606 is CRAP. its a brick without infrared and the bluetooth has no idea why it was made in da first place. DONT BUY IT. the reception is crap. its a brick. its ugly. the camera quality is ****. the battery life is as short as any ones toe nails.ther is no memory card slot plus no flash.the colour is crap and it makes u fell as though u r a cheapskate. to all u ppal readin this pass this message. This fone is a brick, you cant get a signal, and you have to charge it EVERYDAY. U HAVE 2 get a top up every month even if u hardly use the fone. 3 customer services is crap aswell, if u tell them ur problems with the fone all they ever say is "we reccomend u 2 buy a new one". fone is a brick cant listen to recorded voices, only plays .wma files, hard to videos in places as picture goes all blurry and battery runs out quick. purchasing a new fone, maybe an o2 x3 once it is released , and getting rid of this crap. wouldnt recommend to anyone.

!!!!!!DON'T EVER GET CONNED INTO GETTING THIS PHONE!!!!!! This phone is absolutly rubbish and i would not recommend it anyone even if all the fone lines in the world were down and this was the only phone available. I had 6 handsets in the period of 2 months. the first 4 would not work with the computer as the usb port was faulty When i finally got it to work then the phone would not accept wma fils therefore could not play any audio files as it said it would. Not including the usual, dropping calls when changing fom 3g to 2g and vice versa, or loosing reception and having to turn the phone on and off to regain reception. The funny thing was i knew more about the phone than 3g did and they were feeding me lies blaming the problems on my computer which was ridiculous as it was new. To make the problem worse i was always on hold and when i finally got through the phone wold drop the call for no aparent reason except that it was crap. I have had a major problem with this eyesore and have finally come to end of my contract, there fore have decided against the model upgrade and have decided to try LG which seems to be pretty good. Hopefully i'll have some luck with that.

The phone is absolutely fantastic. Firs of all all the functions work very well...but only in 3G mode. I do not think that this can be considered a downpoint. Anyway, it has a big VERY CLEAR display with 65k - good / it has 32 (!!) MB incorporated (too bad it has nu extension slots) - good / it has bluetooth at very high speed -UMTS- (atention, the bluetooth feature only works in 3G mode due tu its high speed) - good / it has stereo audio player - good/ it has 2 built in cameras - good / it can capture videos, capture pictures and record sounds - good / it si UMTS (384 kbs !!!) - i may say VERY GOOD (normal gsm phones support max 56 k) / it has no infrared - sort of bad, because the bluetooth is way better / it is kinda big (compared to other UMTS phones it's rather small) - sort of bad.... all in all.... it is a very good phone, definately better than NOKIA 7650 :)......i don't know the exact cost so i can't tell u if it's worth the money...i heard it's about 550 euro...i got mine for 330 $ ...i say that's a good deal bye

I think that this phone is ok wouldn't buy it or get it on a Contract. It doesn't have a Infared Port.

one of the best phones i have ever used in the flip open feature. the video camera is also very adaptable to light and accomodation. bottom line it is worth keeping in my pocket near my heart.

This phone is alright .. But bit big and heavy .. The good thing is that it has 2 inbuilt cameras .. one towards you and the other away from you and that you could make video calls .. But i just wanna know how to listen to my voice recorder in multimedia .. I've saved a few but just don't know how to listen to it .. But I'm thinkin of selling this phone anyone wanna buy it just email me (must live in Melbourne)

The standby time quoted here is a big load of cods-wallop! I'm lucky to get 12 hours standby out of two slimline batteries and 24 hours out of the big chunka one.... beware!

I have the fone, its great, but I would like to know if you can use Bluetooth, the 3 sales guy says no, but i look at the options in the fone and it has a bluetooth option. Is the phone bluetooth enabled, if so where can I get a bluetooth headset?

have tested this nec e606 . it is a very good phone people keep going on about the battery i got 2 a standard and extended 2040 mAh . �35 for 750 mins to any network �20 off video calls and 50 texts.............good deal

Don't do it. The screen on this thing is a joke, realy grany. Not to mention the camera only uses a small part of the screen, useless almost. The Nokia 7650 is far more usefull it's a shame it dosn't have more memory though.

This phone us extremely good. Being the first phone in Australia to have Video talk, it must have some credit. The features to the phone are much better than the the other brands like Nokia, Sony ericsson etc. having two built in cameras, an audio player and easy access to the internet via the 3 service. Not only this but the phone can be used as a modem for the computer. (not the service charges you an arm and a leg when you download a lot) The cons that this phone has is that yes it is big is size, weighing a lot (what do you expect from something that has a lot of functions. compare this to the average phone), it drinks the battery like hell and it lags quit a lot. However, the good thing about this phone is that it is a CDMA, where it doesn't fry the living hell out of your brain. (note: place your phone infront of your monitor while ringing someone, and see how much the screen fluctuates. to much fluctuation, then a better chance of you getting brain cancer.) And as i conclude, this phone is great value than those phones from optus or telstra, where they charge you like $50 to $100 a month. As for me, $16 a month, beauty :), and also from this price, it is out of stock in Australia :(. Hence I would recommend this phone to anyone that is cautious of their health, (trust me it is worth the risk in carrying a heavy phone rather than causing your brain to toast.) and wouldn't mind a bit more function and the size of it.
