i've been using this phone for more then 4 years,never tired of it & it's really a good phone! i've dropped it many times i cant remember and it still works well. the keypad is so convenient & soft. I can dload themes & games into this phone. can connect bluetooth directly to the pc (transfer music&picture effortlessly). i use 2GB memrycard.The internet usage is simple & fast. i can use facebook,gmail etc. the batery life works well 2-3 years.(i rarely use the complicated app).It's just, everything has its life end i guess..after the last dropping recently, my camera cannot work anymore+plus the casing is already worn out. To send it for service will cost more than buying a new phone. Theres no ori phone anymore in the market, just used & refurbished one. I guess i hv to switch to a new model ;). But I will miss this phone of mine. It's very dear to me. Cheers.

I've been using this phone since 2007, I did have a bit troubles with suddenly-shut-downs in the first months but then after it's upgraded, I had no significant problems. Now it doesn't want to turn on somehow, I think because the messaging memory is overloaded, I'll bring it to Nokia Care and really do hope it will be solved, because I love this phone very much. Elegant, simple, user-friendly, and the keypad is the best.

I`ve had this phone for 8 months and it`s great. It works well with the Opera browser and is very user friendly. You can still buy it on ebay and you can also buy the fascias off ebay. I wish Nokia would come out with a new version of this but similar to the Blackberry Pearl 8220 flip.

i replaced my batt for SGD$48. i was told by the sales person that the avg lifespan of the batt is 2 yrs. if you feel the batt and it seems there's a bump, it means your batt is spoilt and should be replaced.

Butterfly. Check your battery isn`t loose. Mine kept coming loose and making the phone switch off. I had to wedge a small strip of cardboard underneath the battery to keep it tight so that it didn`t switch itself off.

ive had this phone for a year and a half now, the battery life doesnt last too long (maybe i need a new battery though?) and after using it for so long theres a delay when buttons pressed. Video camera has errors often if i record for 2+ mins, however it may just be a fault in my phone. overall though phone has been very good, has handled countless droppings and is stil in good condition. i love it, however the delaying when buttons pressed is really annoying!!!

Hey.. Your battery is faulty and not the phone. Go get a new battery. And make sure its BP-5M.then charge for at least 4hours.

HI anonymous... if you face awith that problem you hv to check up with ur network.. you hv to check your simcard and try to call em (ur center number_which network you used).. ask them to give you a setting.. JUST LIKE THAT ONLY~~

As I said before, it's a super phone!! I have it for about 19 months by now, and it still worths...!!!! Altough i had some little problems with the battery, and the software - i have almost 450 hours talked and way over 10.000 text messages sent/recived , so...it has a life!! :D - i went to a service and fixed it, changed the housing from bronze with pink and changed the battery.. now , i think it's a new phone! :D

I'm sorry for you, but I do have the phone from about 17 monthsm about 235 hours spoked and 10.000 SMS & MMS sent. It's a USED phone, I know , but .... it's still perfect!! it works beutifull, i still use it for my modem, i still use the bluetooth for connect with my computer, I still listen to music with it... oh yes, he has a tiny little problem with the time on starting (like a symbian, dooh :) ), but in rest, it's perfect!!! yes, the battery is really wanting to let go, it lasts about MAXIMUM 2 days... This was and still is the phone of my life! :P The only thing I hate about him is the camera ... verry poooooor camera, horrible pictures for a 3.0 MP camera, that - they say - have auto focus... But, in rest, i'll give it B+!! :)

This phone is good but ive had this phone for 1 year 6 months and the bluetooth has gone faulty and the signel has gone in some places where ive had it before and if you set your alarm so a song you have got on your phone it dont save even if you pressed save, its still has the same alarm tone as before and the camra is very good sometimes, also the video call dosnt work and the speakers arnt very good.

I've had this phone for about a year. First off all, it is an appealing phone with wonderful features. The camera resolution is excellent, and the mp3 player is decent. However, the phone scratches easily, especially if you get the white and pink version. I also had trouble with the speakers. Since the speakers are not covered, it can shift around. I've dropped this phone many times, the worse that has happened is a scratch. I recommend this phone because there are more advnatages than disadvantages. Although I do recommend to go with the black and brown version because the dirt would be less obvious. ALSO, THIS PHONE IS ONE OF THE LOWEST WHEN IT COMES TO RADIATION. IT ISN'T AS BAD AS CHEAP PHONES SUCH AS THE RAZOR.

I too had a problem with the inner screen, I had to have the lcd fixed (Never had a problem with the ouside screen).I found that you cant shoot video for more then 10 seconds but that could be because I had the wrong setting on. This phone works everywhere!! I have used it in Egypt, France, USA, Canada, Mexico, and Iran. Just buy a SIM card when you get in country, slip it in and go! Awesome phone, but have problems witht the screen sometimes, had to replace the flip screen wiering but all else work awesome!

I've been experimenting with the video recording and discovered that it's only jerky on 640x480. Switch to 352x288 and it's sooooo smooth! The zoom quality is stunning for a phone; it seems better than some cameras. I love using my fone to film stuff i.e. aircraft flying overhead and was dissappointed by the jerkiness but using 352x288 I am now happy and looking forward to filming loadsa stuff over the summer.

I've been using this phone for a year plus. It's a great phone but it does have its problems. 1stly, i had to send my phone to repair, actually changing the entire lcd because the inner screen would just remain blank everytime i flipped it open. Apparently, it's the problem most commonly faced. There was also another nokia 7390 exactly like mine being repaired for the same reason at said shop.

I've just bought this fone off ebay for �90 (the black chrome version!!!!!) and I love it! There are a few minor problems - the dim screen, the video has a slight jerkiness, the lack of a glass covering to protect the main screen lcd, and the volume is low when listening thru earphones (it's bloody loud when listening thru the stereo speakers!!)although it does muffle SLIGHTLY when the flip is closed due of course to the speakers being on the inside, but these are only minor problems. I love the speech recognition and the ability to have the fone say anything you type in and the outside buttons to control music player etc and the power on/off button (compared to the usual red phone key).I'll have this fone for a long time!!

I also have this lovely device for almost one year by now. Last time when I go to China for work, one day it got a big problem on screen, shows abnormal display. But just on that day. And now it works well as past when I back to home. Maybe it just don't like China :P And, it is loud enough for me even when it close the shell and use mp3 as alarm clock. Maybe it's the problem of the volume of mp3, and this phone it not so suitable for busy people.

Both my mum and I are using this phone. She's technologically illiterate and I'm a gadget freak, we both love it! My previous flip phone was RAZR v3i and there's too many problems with that; poor OS, horrible display, limited features, etc. This phone, on the other hand, while bulkier and heavier, has better OS, better camera, better contact list management, and better just about everything else. I also carry an HTC Hermes with me, while that makes a great little computer, it's dreadful as a phone. I really like the themes that come with it. Perhaps it's just an unnecessary gimmick, but it gives a nice touch. The only problem that I found so far, which I haven't solved yet, is that the phone cannot handle too many messages. It starts to act funny once they reach about 1000. And I don't think there's a way to set automatic deletion, which means the inbox needs to be cleaned out periodically. Too bad the design is considered feminine for some, because this is a flip handset from Nokia that I'd give thumbs up (they produced horrible flip phones in the past).

i've had this phone for over a year, and i'm telling you guys, its super durable!i've dropped it like a million times but everything still works well, even the cameras!the quality of the pics is very clear, and i quite like the use of the mini display coz u can maneuver through your phone just by using the mini display(of course except for communication services). I also love its design, and its size, with big flat keypads and palm sized shell..all in all, I never wanted any phone again after I bought this one!

i Had this phone for about 2 years, battery life is awesome! i drop it in the toilet once like the first week after i got it. I know i thought i was screwed but it still works. I just took everything apart like the battery, the back cover, and the sim card and let it air dry for 1 day. everything works just fine. very durable, beautiful style and it has a lot of features including 3.0 camera ( which is awesome, photo quality is very crisp) i just added google maps application like the one in iphone. no GPS but u can add the google maps application for free. And if u want to make it cooler u can always keep adding applications to your phone just like the iphone concept. But I usually buy the sofware application from nokia's websites. They have tons of theme, and other applications. I just add dictionary application to my nokia 7390. These applications are not free by the way. and yes u need to check with ur server when u download just to be on the save side, make sure u know if its going to be charge into your account even though the application is free!!!! other than that i love this phone and no complaint and i have this phone for 2 years and still loving it. hope that helps!

I love this phone. I have had it for about 10 months. Love it in pink. I use it a lot. Listen to music, the radio, taking pictures, and syncing it with outlook. Also transfering files is super easy. Love it. I used to be into Motorola phones but I've been converted to Nokia phones and could not be happier. Hopefully they continue making these gorgeous looking phones (with tons of features) cause thats what sets them apart. Now Samsung started copying them.

after having it for abt half a year only, it blacks out very often and does not recognise my sim card too. after sending it for repair, the same problem persists! it is a nice and functional phone with a screwed up programming problem. all my 3 friends who have this phone too face the same problems!

i bought my Black and Bronze 7390 last Feb 2007. Down side: 1. answering a call by flipping the top part - sometimes it doesnt function. it would just keep on ringing even if the phone is already open. and when it happens, my phone would hang. you have to "restart" it. 2. camera - even if it says 3MP, Sony Ericson's 2MP still takes better pictures. And images are "darker" even in broad day light. 3. there's no glass protection on the main screen - so you really have to be careful with this as it only has a thin film. 4. you cannot use the VGA camera for self-portrait - you still have to take self portraits using the MP camera. 5. Battery life - 2 days only without much talk time 6. Keypads - since they are all flat, it takes some time in getting used to. 7. Video Playback - lags and choppy 8. Message Details - you have to get out of the actual message and press option before you could see the date and time the message was sent. Up Side: 1. stylish and unique 2. very handy 3. has all the connectivity you need - infrared, mini USB, bluetooth 4. good Music quality 5. has a handy Conversion for clothes, shoes, etc., which is really handy for jetsetters 6. MMS - very extensive 7. non-slip leather grip at the back This phone obviously ranks high in aesthetics but somewhat lags in performance. I am looking for a different now. But if you want a phone that wouldnt seem like a mass produced thing, this would be it.

helo ! am having the same blinking problems wid my nokia 7390 and its only 6 months i have it. It started by showing a black screen wen i opened it, i had to close it and open again (sometimes several times) ven the screen lighted on... n now its turning out worse, wen it happens to give a normal screen, it starts to blink within seconds and give lots of black rays until it becomes impossible to read anything on the screen... iv opened the fone to check if the cable connecting the screen n board is cut, but everythings seem fine... i dnt know wats the problem... am so discouraged, all my money went into that phone... anyone got a solution to the problem ????????

Although it looks lovely,I have had a lot of problems with this phone! It is very slow & switches itself off. I don't get informed of missed calls, and sometimes when I make calls, the person on the other end can't hear me. I wouldn't recommend it & it's probably the last Nokia I'll buy...

I've had this phone for around 9 months now and i still love it :D The phone can be a little slow at time. the camera is very slow but it produces good quality pictures. It has great themes and is a quality phone by nokia. It looks absolutely gorgeous in it's pink. Though it was very expensive and when i see it around it still is very expensive. Maybe not worth as much as I paid for it but i wont be buying a new phone for a while yet! Usually phones age quickly and soon become out of date but this phone is still up to date and more Also if you like games it's good as it's got snake 3 which is brill!!!

8 month ago, my dad ask me, do u want my phone which is N93 or my step mom's N73. And i say i dont want ur phone i want 7390, so he bought this phone for me . What can i say about this phone is the phone is really2 easy to use beside its very cute in pink. You can easily learn on how to use it compare to N93 too high tech till i dont even know on how to made a msg. The battery can stand for 2/3 days even if u playing musics on it. for those who games freak 'do not buy this phone! cause its not specific for games and im okay with that cuz im not into games. the camera was great 3megapixel but for 3G camera is only vga so u cant expect more in 3Gs.And u cant take a picture by using vga camera.For the accessories its very hard to find housing for this fone and to change their housing, u will be charge for RM 40 cuz its very2 complicated. For me the phone is worth it to buy i have this phone for 8 month and it still in good condition. Besides it is limited edition, now its very hard to find this phone in the market. i love this phone so much and i cant possibly sell this phone to anyone. i had this mobile 4 nine months but it went faulty .... a problem with the mother-board :S i loved tht phone too much ....it's the cutest ever :) but it has got 2 main disadvantages 1st..... very low sound 2nd..... very slow capturing camera.. the captured image is few seconds away frm the time u press the button so usually the person moves in tht time :):) plus its not possible to take pic with the secondary camera

Actually everything is great! Except it sometimes freezes and the camera doesnt take pics occasionally..it's kind of slow too. However the price i got was really good.. fair enough i guess ;)

it's a real nice and user friendly handphone...the outer screen has it's own menu.in fact we can go to some of the menu without even open the phone..can u get what i mean?...and it has 3 mega pix camera which is good enough to me...and it display full screen picture of the caller when there's a call coming in...have fun trying...

You can see if youve recieved missed calls or texts on the outter screen. it comes up 1 message recieved or 1 missed call, after a few seconds the screen goes sim and will show the time and either a small yellow envlope or a fone with a cross over it. Does anyone kno? i have a 128mb memory card in my 7390. i have deleted everything off of the memory card but when i go into memory its still showing as 114mb used. does anyone kno y? i cant find what it is that is blockin up the memory

Does anyone know where i could get a new LCD for this phone? Its not available here in the Philippines, and even orders through NOkia should be by the bulk. Anyway, I think the phobe is freat... just a few hang ups. It cant send messages to all your contacts all in one time (20contacts at the most only), the screen display delays once in awhile, messages are not received as whole sometimes,hard to organize forlders also coz of the low memory it has. but i still love the camera,features etc.

Let me try to answer some of the questions below: This device acturally stores at least 3000 messwage(in the phone memory).The more messages, the more slowly it functions. The camera alert sound can be turned off whlie shooting the pic. You can take a pic or viedo with the phone folded . One special thing about its shutter is :half press it until the focus is caught(the green square turns up),then do not go on to press it to the bottom, but release it.This is really fifferent from cameras. Picture quality is great, or better than most camera phones.

I love fixing up my phone with mp3s..different alert sounds ..for sms, alarm, group ringtones..and THEMES! i have the iphone theme on my cellie with the ringtone haha..it is soo coool check this site out mobile9.com but it has annoying voice ads. if you have a bluetooth computer laptop u can send it thru there..or i guess just with the apple.i can file tranfer it sooo easily without using the USB wire.. About Camera: I like the camera its 3pm..auto focus, flash, night mode.etc. It does sometimes has a glitch and I cant take a picture pressing the shutter when the phone is folded. VGA lenses..or maybe just NOKIA..seems to sometimes witch form clear colored pictures to reallly yellowish ones. Just move it around in the light and you can get a good picture. Battery LIfe isnt very great: because i use mp3s..gprs(checking email and gmail & gmap, yahoo applications) Any phone running all these things will make the battery time go low and on top of that since cingular was bought out by ATT the reception goes up and down allllll the time and that is a blame from battery ussage. In NY I used the phone for almost 4 days without charging and i used it alot more than here(CA,USA) & if you have an old house like mine the power outlets may not be as good. :p About messages: i havea 2gig micro SD card..i have sooo much mp3s..and its not even half a gig yet. IF i used it to the full capacity the memory(ram) may get low...i says stick with 1gig. The messages ..in your INBOX you can store about up to 200+ i think. My old nokia phone 7260 stopped at 200...if you want to save all your msgs into your memory card. that really depends on you and msgs aren memory hogging..i delete my msgs frequently and save the ones i want in my phones memory. hope this helpsss..

great phone had it for half a year. if you go to the europe nokia website you can send teh MMS settings to your phone. and internet etc. it is great! i use cingular the new AT&T..so its works fine..but sendng to different networks is a different thing. all free too! lots of other software for your phone to download too. enjoy

you must configure the phone with your phone carrier. go to a cell phone dealer (usually those individul owner ones, not like a t-mobile main store) and they should be able to configure it.

elo guys, hehehe Im quite intereseted in this phone though I have a few querries: 1. how is this fones video? can it record in VGA resolution? in the review, GSM arena said they can record in VGA because of video, but they also mentioned about having a problem in the firmware that they cannot actually record in VGA video, that par t of the review is kinda confusing for me...can anyone confirm if it can record at VGA and at what framerate? 2 can you take a picture and record videos while the phone is closed?, sometimes people want to be discreet, because having a beutiful phone like this could garner much attention much more when you are taking a picture while it is open, I think it would be perfect if you could use the external screen as a viewfinder while taking videos and photos while the flip is closed...can anyone confirm this? lastly...err can you turn the camera sound off? sometimes camera sounds are the one at fault in taking blurry images, as they click even though the phone is not finished in processing the picture...

The envelope about received message does NOT show if you have choosed battery saving mode to turn on after a while. When you have screensaver on the envelope can be seen. But when the phone is on battery saving mode the envelope is not shown.

Yes you do get a small envelope icon on the small display when the phone is closed, or an alert saying one message received when the phone is open. However some people complain it doesn't tell you who sent the message. In my opinion I say don't be lazy, open phone and click once to read it and then you'll know who it's from, simple. You have options to stop spam and adverts messaging you on you're phone, sorted.

To Prasanth: You close the 3G, this way, the battery can lasts up to max of 3 or 4 days. You go to Settings-network-choose GSM. When you want to use the 3G you change to UMTS. Please try.^_^

I have had this phone for almost two weeks. Yet to have any major problems. Yeah its a bit hard to flip with one hand, but you get used to it. Its annoying that if you get a message and dont read it straight away your phone doesnt leave the msg icon on the miniture screen in sleep mode. The camera is really great, almost as good as my actual digital camera. I have yet to see this in Australia. We bought it over Ebay like many of the others who have also purchsed it. We paid $400 including 1G memory card. But in a few weeks it could be cheaper.

Hi, I am considering buying the 7390 but would like to know if it is possible to take self portrait photos? My current old Sharp GX30i has an option to change the viewfinder to the outside display so you can see yourself in it to take the pic. This is really useful as I am doing a college course where I have to provide photographic evidence of myself doing some practical tasks and means I don't need to ask someone else to keep taking pics of me! Great phone from what I can work out. Almost perfect! Only things that I can find wrong with it are the screen brightness and not being able to use the front VGA Cam. It's also great because I live in Australia and it wasn't released here so almost no one has it - makes me feel special :P. I'm gonna buy one off ebay..

@emma This phone is actually a very good phone, It looks good, and great spec but comes with very reasonable price. But still this phone is not a major success for nokia. That's why this phone isn't produced continously like N70. In my country, The bronze black are already can't be found in stores. They just have the pink and black ones. Since u are a gal, i guess pink suit u more than the black ones. i've seen the black chrome type, but not so satisfied with the looks. Coz unlike the 2 other version bronze and pink, the front panel are just a plain chrome without carving, It minimize the aesthetic/artistic touch of this phone. cheers, Nytro.

I've been using this phone for almost 3 weeks now, and all i can say this phone really really awesome. The cam produced nice outdoor pictures, Nice keypad that could make me smile when typing a message, The sound really impress me, and the style... every 10 out of 10 who have seen my phone said that it looks nice. I really love my 3B (Beautifull Black Bronze) There are neg(-) points i want to say about this phone : 1. The battery drains so quickly when we use in 3G networks, and charging time sometimes can take as many as 3 hours. Usually all my nokias only take about 2 hours charging time. 2. The rubber pad below the keypad, can leave a mark on the upper part of the display, just watch carefully and u can see the mark because of it. 3. The keypad looks smaller and not fit with the cassing ? Between the silver lines surrounding the keypad and the cassing, about 0.7 mm wide, we can see through inside, which i think makes it less beautifull. Overall i give 7390 8.8 in score.

7390 has been working great for this first month. Only one thing is that bothers me: if I put mini display settings to use power save I cannot see if there has been messages or calls received. There is no icons displayed in the mini display, I have to unfold the phone to check those. Only if I use screen saver I can see the messages / calls. In my old Nokia 6131 it worked fine.

few answers - to me the camera is just like te one from n73 (which i used to have) same quality - in good sunlight the outcomes are great and in darker places the outcomes are to me better than the ones from n73 which were so blueish.. whats more the video mode is awesome - 640/480 with around 20-25 fps which means a pretty smooth filming - yeah! u can install tons of games and themes but i havent tried installing other programs, the screen is at first glans dark but in time u ll get used to it and in some light conditions it will be brilliantly bright and colorful, phone is very loud - and has better stereo than n73 (coz its longer when opened ;) ), the battery in my unit handles around 3-4 days, so the bottom line - a great great

Hello! I bought this nokia and I just love it. but it fell on the floor yesterday and I just dont know if the lens got affected or if anything happened. I wish I could replace it with a new one though it's been less than a week I bought it but i usually take care of my mobiles that not even in million years it could've fallen but my brother's carelessness ended up the mobile on the floor. It fell when it was opened - on the back side. I have not tested the camera yet or anything else to see if there have been any changes.. so plz heeeeeeeeeelp!!!

I've been using my Nokia 7390 for 3 months now and Im still as happy wirh it as the first day I got it. It's a great phone with lots of great festures. I love everything about my phone except for the camera b/c the picture quality didn't live up to my expectation. Also, it's hard to take a self portrait. Everything else from the design -> mp3 player -> expandable memory -> video...ect is superb. This is a LE (limited edition) phone from Nokia, so get it while it is still availablle. From what it sounds like on the board, a lot of stores have already run dry of their supply.

Awesome, finally got this phone! Everything's great, need a few days to get used to it as I used to be a sony ericsson user. A few things I think it could be improved: Put a layer of protection on the main screen, when recieving calls I tend to press my ear alot on the speakers and with no screen protecters like normal phones(why don't they make one?!) it gets greasy and even wiping it just smears the oil. So I cut the thin film it came with into shape and just keep that for protection. The fashion label tends to fray abit bit I just cut the ends off. Very compact even though looks weak, feels smoothe on the hands.The keypad was more stiffer than I thought it would be which is great for control and add value rather than wimpy soft keys that feels like a toy phone and have hollow clicky. Very loud speakers which is great, don't listen to those who says they are quiet, I have mine 2 or 3 notch above the most quiet in a medium sounded environment. Still hear great when the flip end is down, although turn it up one bar. What mroe can you ask for? Great looks, comfortable, mid to high end specs, has almost everything you'll need in a tiny little thing! Retail rpicing for this is slightly high tho so do check ebay! With loads free stuff on the web to download and loadsa functions on this phone, it'll take a while to figure out everything! You won't be bored!

I love this phone. True, the display is a bit dim in bright daylight, but i don't care. At least it saves battery. features i love that are not really advertised: -roatating wallpaper -GB, BIG5, and SJIS support! so it can display chinese and japanese MP3 song informations! (i bought the one with the Malaysian/English manual with chinese input)

the 2nd display is not dark.. I believe Nokia has put sensors to detect the ambient light conditions so the screen adjusts accordingly.

Got this phone last week. It's so sweet. Mine doesn't freeze or anything. Works perfectly fine. Games load fast, videos play smoothly. I guess it depends on where you buy it from. I suggest buying from legal retailers. I believe the secondary camera is for video calls only *sigh*. I wish Nokia would do something about it as most people really love taking self-portraits and it's really hard to take one using the main camera. But overall, I'm loving this phone. A versatile but good-looking phone, what more can i ask for? (although i'd really love for that secondary camera to take pictures). I think it'll be more than a year before I change my phone again. ;)

I bought this phone from ebay and it didnt work at all, it kept freezing when i turned it on. I got a replacement from the seller and that one worked fine until yesterday when it stopped working again. It freezes and when i take the battery out and put it back in it allows me to enter my PIN number but then freezes. Happens every time. Has anyone else heard about this problem? Do you think it's the batch of phones the seller has? It's totally wrecking my head. I've already asked for my money back, but he hasnt replied to me. Im totally stressing about it guys. secondary camera only works depend on operator service..you should ask your operator how to set your video calling. usually operator can make setting only by sms reply.. bayu- at indonesia where 3g ready

hi guys, i bought my 7390 and have been playing around with the features, but i have had a little snag. sometimes, im not sure when, my ringtone keeps changing back 2 the default nokia tone. i had changed it 2 an mp3 off my memory card, and it was working, and then it switched back to the nokia tone without me changing it. any ideas on how 2 fix this bug? thanx!

Thanks again for that Tutti Frutti. Well I tried putting my friend's 2G sim card into my phone and the delivery reports option appeared! I was worried it might be directly assigning it to sim card, but I switched it on anyway while I had the chance. I then put my 3G card back in (which worked fine in showing the option on my old Nokia 6288), and I sent a test sms. It worked and a delivery report was returned to me! So don't know what that means, whether it's a phone, sim card, or network bug or a compatibility thing for each, but that was the solution for me. Hopefully I won't need to turn it off anytime soon! So there you go for anyone else who has this delivery report problem with this phone. Try another sim card! (cannot be certain it's a 3G/2G thing though). Cheers, Camperwell

Hey Tutti Frutti, Thanks for the reply. Yeah, tried that and saw send options, but the only option in there is "Save sent message? yes/no", nothing else about delivery report. I did see on the nokia forums that apparently options shown can depend on sim card? One guy with same problem (on a different model however) took his 3G card out, put in a 2G and the option was there. I haven't had a chance to try this with a 2G sim yet (or if switching reports on then going back to my 3G card will still recognise reports as on) but when I do will let you know the outcome. Still, I'd classify this as an annoying bug (or is it by design? Hah!). Hope this helps someone. Thanks again, Camperwell

Guys, Finally got myself a Bronze/black shipped from Singapore, it's sweet, however, need help with a Question... I used to be able to switch on Delivery reports on my old Nokia 6288. Now the 7390 manual says you can switch them on via Message settings, but the delivery report option is not there. Is there a reason why it isn't there? It's supposed to be in the options below. Messaging --> Message Settings --> Text Messages --> Delivery Reports (this option DOES exist under "Multimedia Messages" though, go figure) Would really appreciate if anyone knows how this can be switched on for text messages. Now that I've used reports, I really miss them! :-) Thanks for any help

Hi all. I've had my 7390 for about 4 months now. I had a SE W810i b4 that, so I'd got a lot of java games. Tried to put them into this phone, but they don't work! All the game screens come up at the upper left corner of the screen, and they're tiny, even though the manual says that we can load Java games onto it. How am I supposed to play??! Please some1 let me know how to fix this problem. Thanks in advance.

well, I have both of them. And, both of them are nice actually. I originally thought that the n73 will freeze and lagged alot like everyone said, but mine is working perfectly fine, maybe it's because i just bought it 2 days ago. Nokia already fixed the bugs, and i notice that the font used for typing message is different from the original edition of n73 (i know coz my sister bought it when it first came out, and it's lagging and freezing like crazy, she had no choice but to put up with it) So i guess you should be careful if you get the old n73 which still lag and freeze. Perhaps you should go for 7390, it's going to be a rare item, coz they will stop the production very soon. N73 on the other hand will keep coming out, and so many people have it. I rarely saw people holding a 7390 ^^ and i see people with n73 at least 3 times a day

I have the phone for about a week now and so far so good.. the design is great, screen also, photos quite good - more or less like from my previous n73, BUT WHAT I REALLY LIKE is the video quality - 640x480 best quality is amaizing when viewed on the computer - its smooth and really really acceptable (in the phone its cutting.. i guess its because of the phones' processor) so the bottom line so far for me is pure excellence ps I also have it in a very rare black/metal version ;)

difficult to set the micro SD card as a memory. when we take fotos or video it goes only to the phone memory and not to the micro sd card. any body knows how to configurate it????

hi there.. i have d 7390 for at least a couple of weeks now.. luckily it hasn't froze on me yet.. few things that could be better is or rather are: # 1 the battery life - thought it would last longer but it also lasts me a day and i dont use the features much and compared to my se w800 b4..that fone lasts me at least 2 to 4 days including playing music, videos, texting and calls.. then again, 7390 is in 3g and i heard that uses a lot of battery.. moving on... # 2 phone vibration - not that i need to do anything exciting with that (haha just kidding).. but seriously, it's not as strong, even if it's in ur pockets, u won't feel it... # 3 picture editor - i just want to be able to rotate d foto.. can anyone please tell me if u can do that wid dis fone?? and can u read d msgs in d front screen?? overall really it's pretty good wid all its features.. i have it in pink n creme so it's cute.. ~just me~",)

the battery life is not good i have to charge it everyday, i work in a phone shop and the software is awful aswell the phone freezes all the time and all of them have to go away for software upgrades within the first few months i do like the phone and features but when it freezes when you try to access vidoes etc its not very good

@ loverr It costs around �260 from the Nokia website but it can range from �160 - �210 on places like ebay, hi-mobile, plemix etc but truthfully I don't trust em fully to spend such an amount. Ebay maybe, but depends on reputation of seller. I'd look out for places like hk that sell them, cos incase anything happens giving back the product will cost and the whole communication thing with the company I heard bad stories about.

I bought this phone in pink. First i thought that black would be more elegant and not too girly, but then when i got to the shop i saw the prototype in both colors. The black one is hideous. It doesn't look elegant At All, looks crappy. For some reason the pink is better, it suits the phone more with the yellowish, pink, and silver line.

Ok guys, here's my 300usd opinion. bought the 7390 bronze/black model last april 2 made in china ordered it from my friend who runs a cellphone shop here in california. So far so good. The phone is stable.Colors are great on the screen. stereo sound excellent on the speakers. nice large keys. great for txting if you are not a qwerty guy/girl. good flash and good pics. Ok its not a dedicated camera but if you want those buy one.Nice to have infrared to sync with older nokia's. bluetooth included of course. Faster than symbian when it comes to changing menu's. lots of customization possible. solid feel when opening and closing. Drawbacks? well the headset volume could be louder and sometimes need adjustment everytime you make a call. Bottom line- if you want to stick out from the crowd with a bit of class but also with the confidence of knowing that you have a good,stable, and practical phone then you'l like it. Chicks seem to really like mine. One said, "looks like a leather billfold from prada, cool!"

@jen Last week i was looking for this phone for hours, I went to Nokia centre and they said it's out of stock, then I went to other 5 cellular shops ( i was very determined, Always want something you can't get kinda thing) and most of them is also out of stock. 1 or 2 stores still have 3 units or so but none are powder pink. So finally I called a shop my friend recommend me, they said they cant guarantee they still have the stocks so i waited for 2 days. When i come for collection, the guy said this phone is going to be discontinued some time soon. He said 7373 is being discontinued already. Dunnow whether it's true or not, but that shop is a reliable distributor.

I just bought the phone on monday (pink) and I think so far so good. I love the design, love the steel chain that comes with it, camera is good, music sounds clear though i don't really like how they place the speaker inside on the bottom of keypad. Alarm clock no auto computation of hours left before alarm like that of nokia 6680 3. Calendar display per day too limited (max. 3) in the main screen 4. No image n video editor that is gd like nokia 6680. Cannot rotate image too 5. Remembering of new words function not clever enough, many new words cannot be stored 6. hi u can switch off ur other tones in ur profile settings then the sound will be off when u open and close the flip this sound is linked with the themes u set for ur phone some themes dont have these sounds and some do. but if u switch the other tones off then u wont b able to know about battery low warnings.hope ive helped u.

My 7390 has 2 bugs: When using camera on mini display, try press shoot button briefly for some focus, then zoom in/out buttons will not work. Can't use any video file as screen saver. Anybody with similar problem?

you can buy direct from the nokia website or alot of the mobile shops on the net are selling this mobile, also look on ebay! i believe vodafone have this for sale in there shops on pay & go as well. there is a strap groove, its on the back top left hand corner under the battery cover

Is this phone ever going to come out in uk? No carriers or shops have it or in the 'coming soon' sections of their websites, apart from carphone warehouse but that's been on 'coming soon' for months on end, I first heard about this phone before xmas! Update: LOL, I think it is fate that I get the Nokia 7390 cause the SE W810i I bought was locked (the stupid store forgot told me they forgot to flash it before they sold it to me) and so I promptly returned it and exchanged it for the 7390 (I couldn't resist). They had to special order it (probably from HK) so I won't receive it until sometime next week. So here's to hoping that all will go well with the reception =^.^=

yes, there is no setting for the phone brightness......Pay attention to a small hole above front Camera, that's the light sensor that automatically adjust screen backlight, however it's not working well so the screen is a little bit dark... Try this, blast that sensor with any source of light (flashlight, other phone's flash, etc), wait for a few second, and...VOILA, the screen turn out to be very shiny and colorfull... The good thing is, when you are outdoor, screen are easily readable....

I'm so sad. I was really set on getting this phone but found out at the store that it is a phone made for Asia networks. It is Asia tri-band therefore no gsm network in Americas meaning if I were to buy the phone, I would have to suffer horrible horrible reception. So I bought the Sony Ericsson W810i (white) instead. Somehow, I just don't feel satisfied. It's just sitting on my bed charging up right now... Roro,NOKIA 7390 is UI40,adjustable font size,etc&easier to use than N76 which isSymbian OS,which means smaller font size,smaller keyboarb,etc.Personnally,Ihave 7390&love it.Nseries have 2many problems:hanging,freezing of screen,etc.I had N80 previously.It all depends on what u will b using your phone for.

you can't adjust the brightness! you can get some good themes for free once you reg at www.zedge.net the sound is not as loud as alot of mobiles cause all the speakers are under the flip! you can go to the website ownskins & you can make your own themes to put onto your mobile for free!

cons: battery life - too short, camera is slow to respond (taking photos, opening files), loud speaker isnt very loud. pros: can add memory, buttons on the outside, 3g, large screen, large buttons, and most important can make and receive calls!!!! :) oh and love the headphones that come with it too, im not sure of the pink/white one, but the brown headphones are black and brown too...hehehe, cute!!!

ufff.main 3.2mp camera is on the back of the first half of the flip. the lens is moving 2-3 milimeters when you first push on the middle button of the joystick. it makes sharf and you have to push second time on the middle button of the joystick to capture. video is excellent,vga,15 fps,3gp compression,mono sound like 6280,6233,6288. blitz is led-classic. n95 doesn't have xenon blitz!!

i use a nokia n93....so i know what i say: 7390 is now by far the best mobile in the world at it's price category:autofocus,3.2 mp camera,vga videorecording like 6280,6288,3g with 2nd videocall camera,small and fashion. best buy at 300 euro. don't waste time and money to buy another model.the photo and video performance is superb. go for it!!!

SJ,if u dont want default tone,choose 1 from tones in Galery&press ok.U can also assign videtones or mp3 to any1 u choose or to different caller groups,silent mode,phone wont ring.Why dont u try practicing with your phone,it is the best way&Nokia phones r userfriendly&so easy to use.Changing themes will change ringing tone previously installed to any profile,e.g. Genera,Outdoor,etc

you don't have your phone set to voicemail, i do, so after 30 seconds it goes to voicemail & yes it says missed call, i also get the sms sign. i think we have our wires crossed. if you have ever owned a samsung then you would know that you can set the phone to bleep after every 2 mins to remind you to look at you missed calls or sms messages, nokia don't have this option.

The only good thing on this phone is the camera. Nothing else is good here as this phone is a java phone.It is not a PDA like the symbian phones, so you cant do anything else with this phone except phone, play music and take pictures. For the same price you can get Symbian. Then you have to be mad to go for this phone then.

I've had this phone quite a while now and it's been brilliant to me. I havn't had any of these problems I've been reading about except maybe the battery doesn't last too long but apart from that it's good. A few things maybe Nokia should think about: -The 2nd camera! oh man it'd be great if you could use it normally -In the samsung there is a converter 'thing' with weight, money, length and such things but the only converter on this is shoe and clothes sizes. -I find that when i'm looking through photos the phone is a tad bit slow it takes a couple of seconds to get to the next photo -As I mentioned before the battery runs down quickly but there are good points though -The camera is good -The games are good -The USB fits my mp3 USB cable -It's a gorgeous phone! -Everything else is fine You might be put off by the disadvantages but don't be. It's a good phone and i'm so glad that I have it. If you want this phone you should get it and don't be put off by the negative points people say.

i did have problems with the reception as well. i had to turn off & on to increase the signal. if yours is rejecting your sim, ask your service provider for a new sim with the same number & try that.

I have owned this phone for almost 2 weeks and I love my phone but the first few days, the phone seems to have trouble getting a signal, I had to switch off my phone take the sim out then put it back in (few times) and it loses signal within few seconds and then It'll say "sim registration failed" this has happened to me 5 times and other times my phone decides to lose it's network coverage.. has anyone experience this problem? :(

I am very upset with the phone. Have taken it back 3 times and had software re-loaded. Same problems still exist. Blocking, white screen and mainly teh phone defaults ringing tune comes up out of the blue. On Sat they decided to changea the phone. All well till yesterday. Guess what? Hey!!If u are looking for a nice screen phone, this one is the best. When u look at the screen, not only the color but also the resolution too. Nokia 3250 has 260 k color, but the resolution is too low, 128X128. this one has 16M and 240X320 which is good. The N80 has the best resolution 320X418....Was that help???

Hello! Remember me from Greece?I finaly bought it! I played with it for a day or two and I found that it's quite great but I must say I dislike a few things. First I don't like the way that whenever I change the theme,I must reset the ringing tone and sms tone,everytime,even though I select my profile anyway!Too irretating! Second and most negative about this phone is that when I take a photo or I put new data in it's memory card through usb cable,afterwords I cannot select them and transfer them in another subfolder of a main folder!(for instance,I get a gif file and I want to transfer it in the Gif folder,right? The gif folder is in the main Picture folder.If I try to transfer it it says:you can't transfer a file from a destination folder to the same destination folder!-and that is because it doesn't give a second place folder to select after the after main folder so you can transfer it there.) I also can't transfer some files by picking them from many other files in a folder to get them to another place,it's even select and transfer all or nothing! (I guess that's what happens when you get a phone with no symbian...) And a last one.The receivers from the headset are t o o big to fit in my ears!(or everyone's I know!) Inspite for all these,it's got great sound-even when it's closed you can hear it loud enough-and great cameras! Well I hope I helped anyone that is thinking of buying it! Am I talking too much?!? :P

THE PHONE IS VERY GOOD BUT, there`re some small things which make me angry. 1st-you can use the second camera only on a video call.; 2nd-the brightness of the main display is not enough and you can`t adjust it.; 3rd-I had bigger expectations aboout a 16mln collor display. and on a direct sun light you cannot see anything. I love this phone, just come over from Sony Ericsson. It's got more memory than Nokia 7373, which is similar to this one, so if you want a bit more memory go for this one. But what is the battery life like? With the 7373, it went down really quickly, this one, I daren't use it so much!!!

I have just had a SIM free one and I think it's quite good. The memory is just enough for me but the only prob I've had is when I set the alarm tone, it changes to the standard one when the alarm goes off!!!! Apart from that, I love it!

hello! I very much want to buy Nokia 7390,I think it's a very beautiful and powerfull phone. But I wonder of a few things.I've read lots of opinions and lots of people said that the sound isn't loud enough cause the speakers are inside the phone and when it is closed it doesn't ring so loud or the music plays softly.Someone else said that we could try to increase the volume when ringtones/songs ripped so they could hear loud but someone else said that it could damage the speakers!Are all that true? I would like to know if 7390 has better sound or same loud sound as the Sony Erikson phones do so I can hear my songs without headphones as if it was a cd player (of course I don't mean it to be loud as a disc-hehe!-but as a medium radio devise!)Can someone tell me something about that?Also,I have to ask this: I'm from Greece and I got into many sites about this phone here in my country and also in sites from other countries and other ones said that there is an 128 MB card included in the sell package,others not (only head phones)How can I be sure that the sell package will have the card in it?Is it different in every country?Or is it different in every Telephone company? I have had a second terminal for a week now it and it has improved a lot since the first I ahd when it had just been released. hi all, I have a small question about the external display of the phone. I know it shows time and date, as well as other alerts on the outside screen if applicable. However, I read the review here, and it says that the outside keys lock when you close the phone. Usually, I keep my phone in my pocket, and when I take it out I just hit the outside volume button to flash the time to me. However, if I choose to lock the outside keys, will this not be possible? It is an all or none thing, where I can lock all or none of the keys, and will have to open up the phone each time if I want to see what time it is? Thank you very much!

hi guys, quick question for u that already have the phone! i read the review on here, and it said that u can set the outside side buttons to automatically lock, because the camera release button is on the side. however, i'm used to pulling my phone out of my pocket and hitting the side volume buttons without opening the phone to check the time. would i not be able to do this unless i had them all unlocked? is there any kind of setting to lock just the camera button, or is it an all or nothing case? thank you very much!

RE: taking self-portrait Actually, you CAN take a Self portrait even if the camera is closed, when it's unflipped, I mean. You can access three programs while your phone is closed... 1. Camera. 2. MP3 Player 3. Radio. unfortunately, you can not read SMS on the Mini Screen nor make a Call or answer a call on the mini screen. And you can not change or edit the programs that can play in the Mini Screen. It's just those 3 that I've mentioned above. The quality of the Image and video is very good as well. just remember to put them on the correct settings., on the highest even.

i bought this phone last week at Megamall for PHP 17k and i must say that it's really worth it. though you have to check on the Nokia Dealer if they have the silver strap since some dealers sold them separately even though it's supposed to be part of the package. it is dimmer than the more common Nokia models, but it isn't so much of a show stopper. It's just dimmer when you compare it, but on it alone, it's very tolerable. i just noticede though that when my MP3 player have been playing non-stop for 2 hours, some of the songs jump, as if it was a pirated cd. the 3MP camera is very nice.. :)and it also has a 10 second selftimer. I bought the black bronze one since the powder white and pink looks soooo barbie-ish.. ive also tried the VGA camera for 3G calls, and it still gives out a clear image of you and the other party. not so much static (hmmmm.. perhaps it was because of the service provider) it might take you some time (a day perhaps) to get used to the SMS format since it's different from the NSeries. It also has flash message wherein your SMS message will instantly appear on the receiver's screen upon receipt. But I guess this is only available if the other party's phone recognizes flash messages. hmmm what else... the Bluetooth, IR and USB cable makes your file transferring a breeze. The USB cable is not included in the package so you might want to buy one for yourself. Im actually using the USB cable of my friend's Blackberry.. hehe

The camera is in the back, so you cant take self portrait when the phone is close, but you can use the external screen as a view finder. It is a pitty that we cant activate the second cam for selfportrait like my n73

Units sold in other countries have installed software which are older version as compared with the units sold here in the Philippines, o should I say the unit that I bought. I think, generally, all units sold here have the same upgraded software. At any rate, if you happen to get a unit with a version older than V3.84, you may upgrade your unit using a cellphone to PC connector. You just need an internet connection and go to the Nokia site. Your next question might be � how will I know the version of my software and if the version of my software is the updated one or not? Well, if you connect to the Nokia site, there will be instructions in order for you to know. :)

To dryle: About talking on loudspeaker I'm not very sure. However, i talked with my handset with my fold closed, so I think it will work the same with the loudspeaker. I'm assuming here. The keypad is really nice to touch, and it is very easy to use while smsing. About dropping the phone, i personally had dropped it once. After I dropped it, the music player started being really weird. It will update music without being asked, while I;m listening to the music. however, I turned off my phone and took out the battery for a few minutes and put it back. Then i put it back on, until now, I'm not having the problem anymore. Hope that helps

i have just recently got the 7390 on contract and i have had a few problems defult ringing was activated without me doing it, i lost numbers on speed dial this happened on the second day that i had it, however i just set it all back up and it hasnt happened again, ive had the fone 4 days. otherwise i really like and the colour is great.

Hey, incase you guys are still wondering why your ring tone keeps changing it could be because your changing the theme on the phone, each theme has a different ring tone so when you change it, it resets it to that themes ringtone. thats what kept happening to me anyway. hope this helped

my battery only takes 2 hours to fully charge from flat. the person who keeps losing there ringtune, have you tried going into your phone book & in each name choosing a phone number by selecting the default, i found this works for me. i live in the uk. i have had a couple of freezing problems & then the phone resets itself, but its only happened twice in 5 weeks so it not that much of a problem. every mobile i have every owned, when a problem occurs, you have it mended & i always find the same problem always comes back, i don't think the phone company's can correct problems so instist on a new mobile.

From what country are you? anyway, people might say that im all praises with this phone. yah, maybe. but one thing that bothers me though is that the time it takes for my battery to fully charge is around 3 to 4 hours. and i do charge my battery everyday, considering the abuse my 7390 gets due to frequent SMS, MP3 playing, screensaver activation, etc. And im using the original charger in the package i bought. well, anyway, this was worthy to mention to all readers. But i dont think charging everyday is a problem since i use my phone a lot everytime (and i always bring with me an extra battery). i was just wondering why it takes a long time charging. maybe i'll just try another charger. :)

Phone�s default ringing tone keeps on coming back? I do receive a lot of calls from different people whom I assigned video ringing alert and mp3 ringtones to different people and it doesn�t happen to me. It might be a software defect and not a general 7390 feature. How much is micro SD � 1 gig? � I bought mine in megamall and I think a got it at P2,000. Kingston brand, works well with 7390 and Motorola v3i. Backlight query? - Im not that familiar with other phones and im not familiar with backlights either. Sorry. But for comparison purposes, 7390�s screen is dimmer as compared with n71 and motorolla v3i. Software isn�t reliable? - I don�t know about the software but mine is good. When you buy in greenhills, there is a small possibility of you getting a defective unit. Luckily, i think what I got is not defective, as of this time, at least. Im contented about the software of my unit. I had several nokia units for the past 10 years and I should know if there are defects or not. Video conference? - no, I haven�t tried this. teleconference, yes. it good. Many people are trying to return it? � hmmm, I don�t know about this. I might be one of them, at first. Hehehe. You see, when I bought this, I had a chance to browse the phone for an hour while waiting for my other companions. During that span of time, as ive mentioned before, I wasn�t that happy with the features and I literally almost begged the vendor to exchange the phone with an n71 but they did not consent. When I went home, I browsed the full potential of the phone for about 3 hours and im glad I did not let it go. It depends really on what you want. Im not saying this phone is better than the other phones. For me, this is better because it suits my requirements. Folding phone, easy sending of sms to multiple people, soft keys, radio and mp3 playing, among others. Whew, nokia should give me a little compensation for this since it seems that im promoting 7390. hehehe. Kidding aside, im glad to help even a little. Im a CP enthusiast, like most of you.

Anyways, my bro went to Greenhills and he said that he could not find the pink fon for me and he said that most of the vendors there says that they do not have 7390 because the software isnot reliable yet and they say most of the customers are trying to return it because they are not satisfied with it. I got this as an xmas pressie. From the first week - i had a white-out, the suduko game kept blocking and my ringing tune kept disappearing and the phone default tune became activated. Took it back to shop and they sent back to rep and had software re-installed. Got it back on Saturday and today Wednesday - same problem with tunes - the phones default one becomes activated. Called rep and have to take it back again. Any suggestions?

To ICE and Others Using video as ringing tone � Its great. Though I really cant compare with other phones because honestly, this is the first time I�ve used it. I cant find anything wrong. Its great, actually. The quality of the ring tone that you hear depends on the quality of the sound of your video. If you have a good sound in your video, it will be good. You can see the video in the mini LCD display. Assigning multiple video ringing tone per contact � I don�t think so. Assigning video ringing tones to different contacts � Yup Assigning video ringing tone to a �group� � I don�t know if this is possible. Powder Pink color in Greenhills? - I haven�t seen one, since I haven�t looked for one. They might have, I just don�t know. Headset � im not really a big fan of headsets. I use in only in playing radio, which is not that often. I cannot give you a good opinion on this. I don�t notice any difference between n71 and 7390. I think its ok. N71 vs 7390: 1. Sending message to GROUP � 7390 is better. Yup, n71 sometimes takes too long in sending a lot of messages (actually in my case, its always the case eventhough nokia care already installed SMS accelerator already in my phone). 2. Quality of Pics � 7390 has a higher megapixel and has auto focus. I don�t have a comment on this yet since I haven�t really compared a �developed� picture using the 2 phones. 3. Brightness of the LCD / screen � n71 is better, brighter. 7390 has a dimmer screen, but for me, its tolerable. 4. Question about �Hanging� � well, I used 1 Gig memory card in both CPs (Mini SD in n71 and micro SD in 7390). From time to time, I experience �hanging� when I use my n71. However, since the time I bought 7390, I haven�t experienced it yet. 5. Sound quality � I think n71 is better than 7390. I find n71�s sound louder than 7390. 6. Others � �memory eating� � n71 sucks. I had my phone reformatted 3 times when I was using it due to large memory phone usage, which really slows down the efficiency of the phone. Im observing this 7390 and I don�t think my phone memory is being �eaten�. 7. Others � �saving messages in memory card� � one thing I really like about n71 is that I can save messages in the memory card. And when I transfer that memory card to another compatible CP, I can still access my messages (I think). 7390 does not have that feature. It only saves the messages in the phone memory, though you can create numerous folders for those. I was looking for a crystal case for 7390 in greenhills but I haven�t found one yet as of last weekend. GENERAL - During my the 1 hour of using my 7390, i was not that happy and was looking for the features of my previous n71 (which was stolen) like saving messages in my memory card, better sound, brighter LCD, PC Suite CD, easier assignment of shortcust, USB cable connector, backing up my contacts and calendars in my memory card, etc. I even tried to return the 7390 in exchange of n71 but the dealer did not allow me to. After that, I was able to discover the other features of this phone and im glad that I did not exchange it. Considering N71�s natural defects and 7390�s features, I�m happy with 7390. I even think n71 will be phased out already here in the Philippines (just look in the Nokia website � asia pacific � Philippines, n71 is not there already). IS THIS PHONE GIRLY? � It depends on the judgement of a person. I�m comfortable using it. Very handy and stylish. My sisters and friend-girls like it even if the color is bronze black. Maybe the powder pink would be too much girly. GAMES: To the person who bought the phone recently who says that it has no games, from what county are you? This phone has 4 pre-installed games. Look for it in the �applications� folder.

Just bought 7390 last saturday at greenhills. They gave it to me at P16,000. In megamall, the cheapest is P17,000. Brand new, original package. It quite cheap now. I dont have much complaints with regards to the phone. my last 3 nokia phones are all folding and i love this one. I bought 1 gig micro sd memory and installed my favorite MP3s. THe sound is very good. i also downloaded themes and other downloadables from www.zedge.net and transferred it to the phone. Cool. And i had an upgraded version (V03.84) of the phone already, therefore, no need to updgrade. Initial investment of phone retailers in greenhills is P15,900, therefore i think i got a good deal. FOr those who love folding phones, i recommend this one. THanks.

(In megamall, cheapest is P17,000) All the stall owners there have only 3 to 4 different suppliers and their prices are basically the same. Their investment for a unit is P15,900. Regarding the video recording, i think it is best to use the 352x288 resolution for recording if you want to look at the video on your phone. If you look at the video on your PC (which has more processing power), you can use the highest resolution of 640x480. Agree?

i actually own an N71. with regards to the slowness, i actually agree. even if we religiously erase msgs, it will slow down so what i do is just "hard format" the phone and then it's ok again. the hard part is we have the consistently synchronize contacts bec everytime we do the hard format, everything is erased.

I bought this phone with much excitement last week. The first time I used the video feature it froze up and continues to do so! I can only watch about 3-4 seconds then it immediately freezes up even though the latest software is installed. Another down point is that you cannot see the message details (time and date etc.) when you view an sms, instead you have to go to options and select 'message details' which can be a real pain!

sending, recieving messages with this phone does not lower the phone memory, if you don't delete any after a while then it will cause the mg will be used up with loads of message in the sent & inbox but once you delete them out it will free up more phone memory. you can save alot of messages before this happens though

I previously own a Nokia N71, which was recently stolen. One of the problems that I encountered there was the phone memory gets lower and lower when I send and receive SMS and MMS (even if I don't save the sent messages). I heard it is a common problem of N71. For the persons who own 7390, do you encounter this same problem? Though one good advantage of N71 is I can save messages in the memory card. If I change phones and insert the memory card in that phone, my messages are all there (though even if i do this, the phone memory is still eaten up). I heard in 7390, there is no option to save SMS in memory card. (thanks for the person who gave that answer). Does anyone know the answer in the my question in the 2nd paragraph? Thanks in advance.

the nokia 6131 & nokia 7390 as far as i can make out cause i have had the 6131 & now got the 7390 you can not save sms/mms on the memory card only on the phone memory. you can save alot of messages in the phone memory though & can add your own folders to sort them out

It's very nice-looking, it's got nice features and it's not too expansive... It's not too advanced in features but it's a great mid-range phone...

There are people here who say that this phone isn't good because it doesn't have symbian... all those people either don't have the phone or just have an idea what the heck they're talking about... I had a symbian phone before I bought my 7390 and symbian is crap and unstable! it gets stuck, it's slow and you need to update it all the time! I don't think that updating your phone constantly is good! it's a pain in the ass and if I wanted to update my phone all the time, I would get a pocket pc... I would only recommend a symbian phone to advanced cellphone users who really want to install a lot of things on their phone (like all kinds of software- even including an anti virus).. To those of you who don't really need all that junk and just want a good phone with great features and mainly great user friendliness- get this phone!!

I canvassed around known cell phone places here in the Philippines and prices ranges from P17,000 (U$340) to P19,000 (U$380). To download pics from your phone to the pc or upload songs to your phone from the pc you need a usb cable.. the phone package unfortunately doesn't include one so just buy one and you'll be set to go :)

Please help I dropped this phone a few weeks ago. Now I'm having some weird situation happening. After few songs are played by the music player. It will make a 'beep' sound and it stopped playing. Then I will need to play my music player again and then it will 'update library'. Tkks, That more like it. Use microSD that are more reputable, this is so because a memory card store all the precious info thus don't stinge on it. Sandisk, Kingston, transcend are just a few it may defer from countries to countries. For those who wants a louder sound from this phone or any others. Rip your musics/songs in MP3 format and use a program MP3Gain to increase the volume. Then transfer to phone. Please be aware that this is a phone and not your HIFI so don't burst your speakers. i found the memory card that came with this mobile to be slow to save bits to gallery etc. i brought a transcend 1gb microsd transflash memory card & it works very quickly with no delay in transferring or saving bits in gallery. so i believe it does matter as to what memory card you use in the phone. hope this makes more sence

TkKS, What are you trying to say. Is your memory card's brand call transflash or what since you also memtion Kingston. There are different memory cards like CF, SD, MMC, miniSD & Transflash/microSD. for this mobile to be quick to save message & bits onto a memory card it will matter as to what memory card you buy, if you buy a transflash card like i have its very quick, if you buy a kingston or simular make as these are not transflash they are not known to be quick then it may take longer to save or move your bits around gallery!!!

This phone is also on sale in vodafone on pay as you go and pay monthly. It'll be on sale with 02 and carphone warehouse at the end of next month as well. It wont be in phones4u for another few months yet.

1st. there are some good sellers on ebay & some good mobile phone web sites on the net, i always use ebay sellers with 100% feedback or 1 of 3 web sites to buy my sim free mobiles & i save ���� this way, i never have any problems & you can still take to the carphone warehouse if it needs repairing in the future cause they are a nokia repair center, if you buy from the carphone warehouse you will pay a good �100 more!!!! 2nd. the dim screen is not that bad, its slightly dimmer than other nokias i have had but its not as bad as its made out to be here on this website!!!! 3rd. if any1 wants to know which uk websites i use that are fast & reliable then just ask!!!! 4th. all mobile phones have problems that people don't like, there is no such thing as a perfect mobile otherwise the mobile company's would go out of bussiness!!!! 5th. i don't know what this thing is in the box people keep asking about, i never got 1. in the uk box you get, mobile, battery, charger, 125mb card, headset, manual & silver strap thats all!!!!

To correct the problem of dimscreen is improving a new firmware. The new firmware must have a choice to use or not use a sensor that control the brightness of the screen.Can Nokia do?

you can buy this mobile for under �250 of ebay cause thats how i got mine. i picked a good seller with 100% feedback & recieved mine the next day, its also a uk mobile so comes with the 2 year warrenty. if you join ebay & want to know which seller i used just ask.

I'm not sure whether to get this phone or the sony ericsson z610i. Atm I'm leaning towards this phone, but the z610i is a lot cheaper. I might be willing to wait a while for this phone to come out cheaper and in more shops as it is only available in some and is around �300+. Would it be worth my wait? Julie's review was helpful but has everyone found that the z610i scratches easily? If so i'll wait for the 7390.

Julie if you take the back of the fone and look on the right hand coner theres a wee hole to put the strap on. u need to take the cover of the phone first of all and put it thru the hole.

i have just got the nokia 7390 in pink/white & i love it, its much nicer than the pictures, i had a sony ericsson z610i in pink but found it scratches easy even though i always look after my mobiles, it only rings for 20 seconds max as nokias can ring for 30 seconds max, on the display of the z610i once the message has gone from front screen you can re lite but it will only say message or call will not tell you who from. the 7390 has a photo phone book, the sound quality is good compared to the nokia 6131 which was very tiney when i had that fone, it does have caller id on the front display when you recieve a message or call, the camera is a 3 meg pixels with autofocus but the z610i is only a 2 meg pixel, i will say that the z610i battery lasted about 3 days im not sure on this yet cause still charging fully & running out to get the best from it, i personally think the 7390 is a much better phone for just a fraction more money. hope this helps.

I'm debating on rather getting this phone or a Sony Ericsson Z610. They both look nice but I think the nokia 7390 look more artsy, creative, and more fashionable (not that design is really that important) so I'm kinda leaning towards that. But before I drop $300+ on a phone and end up being disappointed with it.. I have a few concern about the specification.... - How is the call quality? - Does it have external caller id? - Is there a customized photo id? Assigned ringtones? - Does it accept SIM cards? I'm sure there is more questions but anyone who experience with this phone, please do tell me your opinion on it! I really appreciate it! Thanks! :)

The mp3 plays WMA files. I want to ask if anyone is having the same problem as me. When i take pictures, occasionally after the photo is taken, it will say "Cannot display picture" or something like that. I only got this phone for approx. 2 weeks.

I've had this phone for about 10 days now and I don't have many complaints. I got it in Canada for $480 (I've seen it for $433 but it has to be ordered in). It took me awhile to use the camera with the phone closed because you need to click once to focus but push the button even harder to take the picture. Also, the battery life is not that great as it lasts about 3 days for me with regular use. Other than that, it's a very stylish phone, with lots of customization available.

I was also wondering if I should get the nokia 7390 or K800i...There are a lot of things to think about though. For istance, nokia is more a girl phone, but still I love the black one, it�s really stylish and to be honest it�s 2007 people.. The camere is bette on K800i, so is the screen. But my brother has a K800i and it�s really boring design, and the buttons are not so comfy at all as the nokia. So all in all, afther a goood while of thinking I�m going for the Nokia 7390 even if I have a SE right now (an old one though..)

There is a micro sd aka transflash memory card slot built with nokia 7390..the 21mb internal memory is still fair..it would be left 16~18 free internal memory.For a 3 mp photo,the size of the picture os quite big..so normally people sotres it in memory cards..

Hey Jan the phone is pretty cool. one of the best i have had from nokia. it has all the functions i like and its very stylish. and of course its a 3G phone as well. though many say this phone is for girls but as a guy i do like it a lot. however, it does have its down side. even though it has a 3 mega pix camera, the images are not as clear. also after taking photos, it takes a while to save the photos. also some times when accessing the menu it can be slow. i have also noticed after much use, the folding mechanism isnt as tight as before too. but as a whole i will rate it as 8/10

Ive bought this phone for about two weeks already..the dim screen is really somewhat anoyying..althought it has a 16million coloured QVGA screen..i rather prefer Nokia 6280's screen which is much brighter.Second complain is about the sound quality through headset..not very good quality bass even through N3250 in-ear headset..third,camera quality absolutely not as good as N80's 3mp camera..the only thingsthat is worth talkin about is the Fast UI and great design.Not a exellent product from nokia.

Milad this phone does not have symbian it is a UI 40 like 6230I,627O,6288,it means large fontsize when typing SMS,wider keypad,I think it is a great looking phone,hope doesnt hang or freeze like N80
