When it's simple to use,amazingly robust,has a three-day battery life [between charges] holds easily 140 contact numbers,acts as a 'tomtom' AND fits easily into your pocket....suddenly,you realise that a £1200 iPhone X does nothing you need...it just things that are fun-well,until next year,when it'll be outmoded and the battery will start to mysteriously not fully charge...my old coal-fired,steam-driven,clockwork 'vintage' Orbit is STILL chugging along,STILL holding a 3-day charge,STILL perfectly audible in noisy surroundings....and best of all,the reason I bought it is still valid...i.e; it WORKS! I bought this phone for 18K. Been using this phone for 10 months now. Have to say that I found this phone interesting and stable but servicing was an issue. Lately I came across a seller on eBay who was selling this same phone with manufacturer warranty for 9K. Luckily he arranged servicing for my phone too for free :) battery was the only problem remaining everything was best.

The only thing wrong with the phone is the stock battery that comes with the sales package and the Asia Pacific support which is non-existent. I bought this in Dec 2007 and have had an agonizing experience just to get spares, right from the battery to the charger or the stylus. Right from day one, the dealers or service centres expressed their helplessness in providing support for this product which was a huge let down.

Get a new battery from ebay. I used mine with the original battery it only lasted less than a day. Got the high capacity battery now last more than 2 days standby :) Very happy with the result.

Hi buddy, i am using AtomLife. i m not that happy with this phone. it gets slower with even just with media player running the smsing becomes slow. it hangs very offten. if u cleep it clean in the sense dont download too many app's. if u have network scarcity in ur town thats it. it gets hot and hang OMG.

Im using O2 XDA exec almost same as Atom Life "has more features", its actually very usefull if you are a professional (architect/engineer/doctors/businessman), who prefer PDA rather conventional phone for your meetings, dates, contacts etc.

Try to tick on the receive all incoming beams in beam setting and turn on your bluetooth. The info you can get at about in system menu. The battery is quite a problem to all user as it won't last long as it is normal for this O2 handheld.

umm... just download the 6.5 ROM (the Al.dio) file.. remember your battery must be over 70% (better fully charged) save ROM into mini SD (plz use under 1Gb.. i usually use 512mB) --> note format your mini SD with FAT 16 (FAT only) do not format it with FAT 32.. and then, turn off your phone... press record button --> use your stylus to press soft reset button --> release the soft reset button your phone will enter booting system mini SD detected flashing DONE your "Magician" upgraded... ^_^

I comment all on xda atom. I think that O2 company phone should review about battery life becuase it's difficult to use when we alway charg battery. If you can do like this your product will be promote again especialy cambodia country. long life battery like O 2Xda II mini it's good for use. a lot of my friend they alway said that they want to use O2 but about battery life. hopeful form your company about edit new battery life.

My o2 xda atom life phone, if we press the ON button the screen is only blinking I tried with soft+hard resets but no use. Problems started with prolonged charging for two days and then the mobile showed a problem of continous flickering of the flash light. Can any one advice.

1) problem is that using wifi to browse will drain the battery extremely fast. Buying a higher mAh battery can extend more longer. 2) it is normal because it is not actual 64mb ram. It will stated lesser than that. So no worry. 3) haven tried mini opera before so i have no experience but eventhough the screen is idle because it still uses the ram. Exit any application after use will make it run smoother. hope you understand ya!

hi all, I just brought brand new 2 weeks ago. and the shop straight ly upgrade it to winmo 6. before, I already used mini xda2 II for about 3 years, and quite happy with it. I have 3 main problem, which is I want to ask, is it my O2 broken, or it's standard. 1. battery life only 3-5 hours, if I use it for browsing. it's really annoy me. my xda II got 5-7 hours! 2. at specs, it got 64 mb ram, but I only got total = 48.36 mb ram. used = 28 mb ram. free = 20 mb (before opening any programs). if I change back to winmo 5, will I get total 64 mb ram? 3. I am installing mini opera 4.2, and it easily got hang, when I leave the screen idle with opera on. is it normal? thank you guys for your help.

I've got an atom life phone the first problem was failure to sync using USB. at least I still can use by means of infra red throught windows 2000 only. another problem is short battery life. often I am still talking to friend when it suddenly trip off. sure can install gpr software, but you have to get external gps receiver to gain gps signal since atom life doesn't hv build in gps receiver

just reformat the phone, to do that just press power and reset the same time until prom for reformat. but you will loose everything stored in the phone memory. hope its works bro..

Dear all. I have a problem with my XDA atom. yesteday it hang twice and I try to reset, but after that it can not loading to windows. Only O2 logo appear on the screen. after that I also tried to release the battery, memory card and the sim card since I thought it will work, after I put all back and turn on the device, the condition is remain the same. Can anyone please inform me, what happend with my O2 ? and is there any solution for that ? Will the data lost due to this problem ? Buddy, u just have to go to Start-settings-sounds and notification and change whatever sound u want to change, but remember, the ringtone has to be copied to the windows folder to be able to appear there!

DON't DON't DON't buy O2 phone. These are faulty and defective manufacturing and not well tested. DON't get fooled by its design and features listed. This is the Phone that will KILL you. On top of that, the terrible customer service. I bought the phone by seeing the nice design and features. But kept on going to rude and unprofessional customer service center, changed the phone twice after long fighting, but all pieces are faulty. It resets after battery down and removes all my contacts. The speakers are soundless Signal is weak Hangs very often I couldnt use it for more than a month and now suddenly the service center is charging me 500SGD saying there is no warranty because the phone went to water by checking some litmus paper color. What a shit !!!! After a long fighting, I just threw the phone and bought a simple Nokia phone and happy.

well from my experience the battery life is due to the ROM.. change the ROM have better experience to the phone so the blame goes to windows as it should for me... if you don't want to result to a cook ROM 6.0 is a lot better on battery life then 5.0... also remember just like any unit everything is a factor you turn the volume up to loud, have the back light on at its brightness at all time and put the processor on at best performance or play the radio frequently thru out the day will cause a sustainable battery drainage, you can't expect them to account for everyone individual phone use everyone is different but in my opinion exclude the fact that its doesn't have 6.1 it better then my tynt ii on 3g much faster and better performance and less freeze tell me is their one person out their who has been on a computer and hasn't experience one freeze or stall or even abrupt shut downs, now if you have image all that in your computer put into a phone... remember it cost them money to acquire window software to be placed with every phone then adjust as necessary without breaking the rules of windows and who ever they have contract with, that why we have these developer four ms open to the public to teach and also keep the developer up to date with every individual needs so take the time to view everything before you make lash judgements

I got this phone because it looked pretty nice and everything. When I got it I was satisfied then I found out something that I wished I didn't. Over here it says Standby Battery Time - 200 hrs and a Talk Time of 4 hrs. I say BS! Lets say in 4 hours of standby my battery goes down from 100% to at the most 69%! BATTERY SUCKS!

congratulation to you 1st. For the battery,i didn't know there is a problem so i can't help much. Since there are alot of good application in the rom already,there are very few,how about using spb mobile shell and spb pocket plus.This would make your o2 nicer!! About msn,i does not know cause i never use it. Sorry,i can help only till this point.

i finally got the rom installed. THANKS. I still keeping have a problem. when the battery level level goes below 40% the phone shuts off. do you know of a fix for the problem. otherwise from this problem the phone with the upgrade features are awesome. do you know of any other upgrades for xda-developers i can use to enhance the phone further. also, i notice with the upgrade pocket msn icon does not appear. is this ok? please let me know.

I have the problem before.I flash it using "pendrive" brand memory card but turn out like yours. Try nokia brand mini sd card and follow the instruction like before and flash it.(I have try nokia brand mini sd card and it works).It takes just a few minutes,wait it till 100%. try it,good luck!!

For message convert the audio to wma and put it in file explorer->application data->sound. Then you can set ringtone for message in sound and notification in setting. good luck!!

i think because the 1st thing is you have check the box "repeat" in setting->sound¬ification->message.Uncheck it . Secondly,i think "vtap" software is the best one i think and is quite nice. Thirdly,install CEstar software will make your device compatible with chinese.For the wm6.1 rom,i think xda-developers there have it. Lastly,yes,there is alot of improvement in wm6.1 from xda-developers website. cheer!!lol

Hi, I just bought my first PDA phone. I like the overall performance. But there are few things need more information. 1) My message tone continue playing even after i read the sms. I call our service center, they said they need to upgrade the firmware. FYI, my phone already in WMA6. 2) Can this phone view youtube.com video? How stable it is? you need to flash it with mini sd card from your device.Format your mini sd to FAT16 and copy the files to the card.Then hold record and press reset button.Like stated in the linked. If it not working try other mini sd card brand!! Try it.sorry my english is very bad.cheers!!

I'd first like to say to all of you reading these reviews, the majority of people that post a review have had a bad experience. Their anger is motivation to rip on any product. Most people that have a good experience will not spend the time to write a review so the majority of what you will read on here is all negative. All products have recalls and quality issues...it's just how it is with anything...dvd players, phones, cars, etc. I've had my Atom Life for a while now and it works great. This is an incredible phone. Windows Mobile 6 is really needed though. Some of the problems people on here are complaining about is a Microsoft issue with Mobile 5.0. Upgrade to 6.0 or just buy one with it and you wont have these problems. I've had many pocket pc phones including the XDA I, II, II mini, and more and they were great but it just keeps getting better with O2!

The 02 Atom Life is absolute rubbish!! It reboots every time I shutdown my computer (think it's something to do with ActiveSync) and at other times when I try to turn it on. It rarely reconnects to ActiveSync after being disconnected and I have to reboot it manually. It's also hideously slow, even compared to my old O2 XDA IIs which it replaced. I've got a new iPhone 3G on order!

i got a little upset when my O2 XDA Atom life become erosed, especially on its keypad. i went to the O2 service, but they said there is no guarantee for its keypad. Making me more upset, O2 services don't provide the new keypad if i want to buy it. i hope O2 services just don't sell the new product, but they should provide the best quality service for their consumer to improve their income.

After 3 days of reading and searching for the best PDA, my search finally brought my attention to Atom Life. I'm using it right now for 4 days already and immediately upgraded to WM6 6.1.1 (thanks to XDA-DEVELOPERS) Here are my findings and my personal experience so far and some things that needs to be fix and improve: (attention to O2) 1. Camera has a slow response. VERY VERY Slow. The camera is somehow useless. 2. Sound is terrible when playing MP3 using the headset, what more if you use the built-in speaker. 3. On the CPU Profile, there is a big difference between Best Performance and Best Power. When set to Best Power, there is a chance that some of your open applications may drastically stop responding and may lead to the whole system to stop responding as well. For me, choose the Best Performance instead. The whole system runs smooth without hangs and delays on running and opening/closing applications when set to Best Performance. 4. Battery life is not a big issue. I played mp3 for 8 straight hours with backlight off and still it has more power to consume. Re-charging using a computer took me 6 hours to fully charge the battery. 2% of the battery life were consumed when not in used overnight. There are lots of things to do and change to maximize the use of your battery to make it last longer. 5. Surfing using a WIFI is likely more faster compared to XDA2i. The HSDPA function is too good to be true. Unlike an ordinary phone that connects thru 3G, HSDPA is a lot faster, I can even get as much as 1.2mbps bandwidth. 6. Light weight and small. Easy to fit in my pocket. 7. I just dont like the idea of using Mini SD. duh!!! I need to plug an adaptor first before I can transfer files to my mini sd. 8. GPS Settings is there.. I dont know if this work. OVERALL SATISFACTION: 80% Satisfied. 10% Not Satisfied with the Camera Feature 10% Not Satisfied with the Sound Quality

The Worst phone/PDA I've ever had. To get straight to the point, this is what I've been facing with that model since the day I bought it: The phone shuts off by itself in the middle of a conversation!! The touch screen gets stuck so often and does not react to the stylus!!! and since there is no alternative to the touch screen in this model, your phone becomes obsolete most of the time. The speakers are terrible . The battery is short lived and does not last for half of your daily work hours. The service is very limited to one company in Dubai and is extremely bad and non responsive. I definitely recoommed everyone to STAY AWAY from this cell phone/PDA

A STORY OF GOOD AND A LOT OF BAD!!!! Ok this is an honest opinion of this phone if you are looking to buy one. I have had previous windows mobile phones including the 2 ill faded mpx200 and mpx. Ok the design is really nice the phone is not too big . i did not need a keyboard so the fact it doesnt have one does not bothe me . the touch screen is awsome ant the phones screen is as good as it gets. That being said the bad begins the speakers are terrible utter crap compared to an iphone or a n95 you will cry. The battery is one of the worst i have everseen just terrible. the sound qualityof the phone functions are so bad i would at time need stop and find a silent place to talk. I hope you enjoy droped calls because the o2 atom life drops calls about as often as you make them. i had the device for over a year and to be fair to the phone i was using it in canada the phone was not made to be in canada so that may have caused some of the issues. that being said the camera is average , the sound is just bad. i will say the phone does run fast unfortunately so does the battery. after 4 month i began to have charging issues with the phone and o2 service i must say is the absolute worst i have ever seen of any company. If you have the choice buy the n95 or the iphone it absolutely blows the o2 away its not even close. this phone could have been amazing but i think it became a nightmare for consumers. im not anyone who cares about a particular company this is just my opinion. i will promise you if you compare this phone to the iphone and the n95 you will betuly disapointed in the o2 atom life. BUYER BEWARE. DONT SAY I DINT WARN YOU

The phone itself looks great. It's the ideal phone from the outside. I really like how fast all the applications run and stuff, but there are a couple things that most people should know before buying one. First of all, when you are on the phone just chit-chatting. You have to be in a really quite place, otherwise, the person on the other side talking to you will basically be able to hear every little thing you do. Even if it's a small click sound from you mouse, or a car passing your house. Everything will be heard to the other person. Second of all, I could not get the picture text messeging to work at all. I use T-mobile in the States, but I could not get it to work. This might just be my problem, so I will not complain about it that much. Just be careful. If you care about any of the above. Then, this is the best phone. Really, I love it so much...

The battery life is indeed poor, I have to charge this phone every night. However I'm a heavy user and found that I had the same problem with my last three mobiles(SE K850i, Nokia E65 & Nokia 6120 Classic. I have found this phone very good for me. Size, touch screen and connectivity has been excellent. E-mails are delivered, browsing is quick, texting a breeze and calling no problem. As a comunications device, I'm very happy with it. As a multimedia device its lacking. video/music playback is average & photos are sub-standard, but I've always used an ipod & a camera for those tasks as mobile phones have never cut it (so far). So it's horses for courses. As a communications device its cheap and very much useful.

quite disappointing, not as long-lasting as XDA II or O2 mini.i bought one last Apr2007; after a month of usage, the LCD looked funny. when I brought to the service center, they said that LCD got "oil patch". they changed the LCD. After several wks, the "oil patch" showed up again. I didn't bring back to serv cntr since this phenomenon is hard to show to the serv guys, only when the phone heats-up when you use phone or MP3 for sev. hrs. Now, after a yr, I experienced no audio on incoming call. When I brought to service center, they say the motherboard gave away. since I don't want to spend a few more dollars for the new motherboard, I gave up and bought a new pda/phone - diff brand!

I just bought this phone last week. I realized battery life is horrible. I charge the phone to 100% and i leave the phone at standby mode (no wireless network on) and no making any calling. I have used a lot of phones and so far among my best phones is this O2 atom life. Im afraid people will definitely say its useless or it hangs always, it may be true depending where you got your unit. But for me it works pretty fine it is full of features and not to mention the amazing freeware you can download online to enhance it. I guess its a matter of knowing how to use the device before we can judge its capabilities. Windows based devices are actually more challenging rather than the symbian types( which mostly 7 year olds can operate no offense ). I guess the best thing to do is read the manual 1st before talking or posting a bad comment about the phone.

I own this O2 Atom Life since Dec 2007.I live in Singapore and got for S$1098. I have seen most of the commenting on the poor performance of the battery and hanging. If u dont know to use this phone properly... it will suck. The poor batter performance is due to the application running in background ( U might not have closed), whether the blue tooth or wiFi is on. Try to check whether all ur applications are properly closed. This enhance the batter performance.. U cannot compare this with Nokia PDA as it has the best processor. Its now running on WM6. Good applications like Mobile office, Windows messenger, FM, etc. My last suggestion is, if don't know how to use the PDA with WM6 or u r looking only for a phone rather than an organizer, better dont go for this. As of my experience, its a good companion if used properly.

There is quite a few problem with this phone. 1)Main is the battery life(maybe can last for 1 day) 2)about the wifi problem(it can't turn on and it probably hangs right).For this i have try by hard reset it and it will work perfectly(for me). There are only 2 problem for me,other is working perfectly for me. About the bluetooth,just turn on your bluetooth: 1)go file explorer 2)select the file then choose beam file 3)just tap the device name that you want to send 4)it will automatically send the file using bluetooth. Please do not buy this phone. Looks are deceiving.Im someone who made the mistake of investing on this phone. The display attracts dust like magnet. Phone hangs many a times a day.Touch screen is not good. Battery is horrible. Its definitely not worth the price. Run away from this useless gadget.

just purchased this 4 days ago.the camera seem sto hang every so often, the whole phone hanged for a bit until i removed the battery and reinserted it.the guy at the shop which i bought it from said his colleague accidentally installed all the defaulted s/wares. will take it back to him and get him to remove the programs which is not necessary for me to use and then check to see if the issues still persists.will keep you guys posted.

I buy a MWg Atom Life in Expansys USA (MobilePlanet). So far so good. I have it for a four days. In some moment I experienced the problem mentioned in many post before about the wifi, In some moment I can't turn it on, I feel it's something related to the RAM usage, because it was when I have several programs running including some Today-plugins. The sound it's very clear, sending SMS no problem, I've not tested MMS yet. The internet connection work fast an stable. EDGE/GPRS works very well. 3G Video call and bluetooth not yet tested. Skype works great over wifi. The FM radio tuner works very well with RDS. The only big problem it's the battery life. With a bit of luck it works for one day, but this issue it's common for Windows Media 6 pocket pc plus considering over 600MHz speed processor and wifi antenna.

Hi,I bought this phn from Starhub Singapore during the last IT show held at Suntec, features-packed, handsome little phn. However I must say this phone is not for the uninitiated. I have no issues with any of the screen, short batt life issues etc mentioned by others..except that the handset speaker is on the softer side, i.e. incoming calls sound a little soft. My batt life with the default batt last 1.5days with normal usage, taking calls, send msgs, wifi surfing now and then, bluetooth headset connected. With rgds to the self-shutting prob when batt is low, its means the batt is faulty. If under warranty, change it and the prob will be solved. Loudspeaker volume can be magnified greatly by switching on SRS, phone hanging problem is due to low mem..all WM devices face this prob. Upgrade to WM6, install sktools, it has a utility to free up unused ram, ur phone will never hang again. Also note if the 3rd party apps should they have conflicts..If u like apple iphone UI, get SPB mobile shell, alittle tweak and bingo =) Plenty of backup apps out there to backup PIM and msgs. There are plenty of settings u need to master and tweak. Get a portable hp charger and u can chat like nobody biz. If you can learn to do all that, u will absolutely loved the phn and never go for other phone imho. Cheers!

I should of read these comment before buying O2 Atom Life. The phone just quit on me after 4 days of using. It was frozen at first, and then failed on soft boot and hard boot. O2 service is bad. I called from USA to Singapore and I was put on hold over 30 minutes but still no answer. The seeo2 email server kept show up with time out error... my 4 days O2 is now just like a brick on my desk. so sad !!! I bought this O2 from a company on Ebay, no return, no exchange ...

Hi Jay , Yes it hangs all the time. Recently i experienced another issue. say i dialed a number and thought of make the call later and press the red color button. I pressed it so many times but the display shows still i m dialing the number. After 3-4 minutes its automatically disconnecting. Its a mess now.

oh yeah,everytime i accept a call. i only can speak with the other party for only 30 seconds. when i confirm to 02 Service center at singapore (and i must wait for 1+ month) they say, the phone has no problem in it. only the right speaker is dead. when i try tell my problem to my cellular provider, they refresh my number, but still, i "enjoyed" this 30 second talking problem.. HELP ME PLEASE...

I bought this phone back in may last year, and was working fine for three months, and then the screen began to start freezing reguarly, the SD card wouldn't read, and batery life was shocking. From May through to December I had four handset replacements of the same model, and they have all failed within weeks. I tried to tell o2 this, and they are under the impression that their phones are immune to getting faults. So fine buy this phone if you want a brick or a paper weight, as after a few weeks or maybe if you are lucky months that is all they are good for.

I bought the o2 phone in singapore. 3 weeks into it, the LCD screen cracked. There was no rough handling nor any induced damage on my part. The screen just cracked. The worst part of the tale is, the rubbish attitude of the so-called "After-sales" services. They are unhelpful, slightly rude, tactless and the best part, they don't call you back nor reply your emails. I wrote in a email to MWG on 29th Jan and till today, 24 Feb, they have not reply my email. What a service....

I have always assumed that O2 and HTC where the same. Unfortunately i got rid of the HTC P3600 a few weeks ago and realizing my error decided to buy the o2 xda atom life tonight. While in the shop this phone froze. after six or seven hard resets i finally got it to function. After going home and trying to syncronize it froze again. I immediately returned it to the shop and swore never to touch o2 phones. sorry but i can only say that i rate it garbage on performance.

Zim. I have some problem like yours. (Im using Atom Exec) and it keep dying. If you buy original product, send in for warranty service. They will "reprogram" or "repair your ram" - as shown in mine warranty report. After that It great! ALSO, if you download 3rd party software, it might contributed to the hanging also - if not compatible. try to removed any unofficial program. if still hang, go for warranty service man!

Sunny? what are you talking about. I was of the opinion that WMG were a group put together by old O2 asia execs (which retained 40% of the old staff) to buy out o2 asia. I may be wrong. What you are talking about is sounding like a well established, long established group with cred. Lets wait for the warranty claims from the old disaster called O2 Asia and the O2 atom life phones which will flood back to them and put them under severe pressure. I hope this phone will be taken off the market soon because O2 atom life and O2 xda comet are very very bad phones indeed and should be avoided. do not buy this phone please. search the internet and youtube and see what i mean. search user issues, complaints, problems etc. and you will find a lot of tales of misery and people who have wasted their money on this product

I had the speakers replaced and the RF board replaced on my o2 atom life. Now the phone still freezes, cant hook up to mobile internet and its not charging properly. Even when i hook up the o2 atom charger the phone says charging then about 5 seconds afterwards the o2 atom life stops charging. This is really annoying because if the battery goes dead then i have to wait approximately 20-30 minutes with trying to make sure the phone is charging properly (its hit and miss) before this cruddiest device will turn itself on. The phone reset itself during phone calls. this o2 atom comet xda life is absolutely the worst phone out and i can see why O2 asia sold out because they are ON THE RUN. You better run o2... run coz i want to get my money back

It is a very nice phone only if it is with windows mobile 6 version. personaly i like this phone i bougt this phone in november 2007 and it was still working fine till febrary 2008 before it was felt buy me in the pool. i bought it from india and now i am in usa and there is no service center for this phone. I completely agree the original O2 Atom Life before the final upgrades were given with the new MWg brand were horrible, but now that everything has a fix it seems to be working pretty well, then again, type in acell phone name on Google and put the words complaint, problems, issues, and you will get a bunch of complaints on every one of them even the Tytn II lol

this phone is so useless. ive had the speakers replaced, rf board replaced, buttons replaced, not screen which is faulty, and then i got it back from service and now it just wont connect to the broadband wireless and the battery has problems charging ie. it says charging for about 10 seconds and stops and cuts off during a call and is flat. when this happens i have to put the plug in and wait fotr the phone to charge and after a while then this phone will think about turning itself on! my god this phone is crap.

I found the device through MWg to be great, and two of my co-workers are also now using it as their personal phones, the powersave function really help battery drain, and the Windows Mobile 6.0 upgrade, plus anything MWg did to the device seem to have worked out many of the issues. I would have liked to see more than 64mb but its running fast with no freezes.

I bought this O2 Atom Life in Aust approx 3 months ago - what a terrible phone!!!! The battery life is pitiful, even with the new ROM upgrade!! Best useage is approx 5 hours with only moderate useage!!!! The screen is almost unviewable in bright daylight, the ear speaker is terribly soft and even at max volume is hard to hear teh other person talking!! The camera takes forver to engage and then to actually take a picture AND even then quality of the photos is a fraction of that of my girlfriends 1MB nokia camera!! The thing "hangs" all the time and needs constant reboots ... again even after installing the new rom upgrade!! The extended memory card has popped by itself on 3 different occasions and now I have lost my 2 gig memory expansion card with all my photos on it!!!! Now finally I cant even recharge teh phone as the plug in point has come loose inside the phone and will not make contact with teh charger!!! All in all a $1200 waste of money!!!! I will be very reluctant to buy any new O2 and for that matter any new phone that uses the MS Mobile operating system!!!!

Dont worry O2 asia has sold out so its not the O2 life any more. some other brand of unknowns will be running the show with some o2 staff... so why would you want to buy this phone. They will work out that the warranty claims will start costing them money and then fold up as well no doubt. Seriously, this phone has been a complete and utter failure. There are so many glitches and needs for firmware upgrades etc. why did they release such a buggy phone in the first place. The price has literally collapsed through poor sales no doubt but they (02) have lost my business and I would never support the new company taking over the operations. Why would you? Poor old germans dont know whats going to hit them .. this over priced paperweight is going to hit the german market as an O2 XDA comet. little do the germans know the problems that have been experienced by the many users in Australia and throughout Asia with the O2 atom life phone. I bought this stuff 4 days ago in Thailand. unfortunately i found out that when i use the phone to make a call, i can hear the ring from the other line BUT when the person whom i am calling for answered his phone, the signal got lost.In either way, i am lossing my signal, provided the fact that i didnt activate any barring setup.I really appreciate your comment or any suggestion that you can provide. I have bought O2 Life about 4 months ago, previosly litte disappointed with the performance, especially when all the users experiences posting were coming true (booting, batterry drop, blank screen). But finally those problems have gone after upgraded the ROM into WM6 (download from www.seeo2.com). Now the system more stabile, batterry become more efficient and longer stanby time.

O2 Atom Life is powerfull thing, you can internet use 3G, wifi, bluetooth and IR networking, that is high technology PDA, if you can't use it, dont blame it ;-), for the battery, just use external charger, because every device same conditions if getting hot, would be show problems

I've had my O2 XDA Atom life since June 07 after I dropped my Imate Jamin into the pool (Jamin was slow and lacked memory and 3G hence I went to this phone. Summary: Pros: Good phone with good features, neat package with quality finsih. Cons: The battery is sucky if I run all the features. Need to scale down phones speed etc if not willing to charge daily (at least). Things to make it better (scale down power needs) as from anonymous: 1: Download and install WM6 from O2 site. 2: Use the GSM band only (I used 900). 3: Turn off recieve all incoming beams. 4: Set the CPU profile to Best power. I have been running the CPU Profile on the Auto setting recently and I noticed at times when receiving a call it just dies and reboots. I put the CPU profile back to Best Power and the problem goes away. I suspect the batteries in these things aren't up to the current delivery task set for them in that as the battery depletes to around 34%, if CPU is full speed, it fails when trying to meet the current load of an incoming call. From all the feedback O2 really didn't design and test this device adequately pre-production and it sounds like the production QA is poor. Lucky me got a good one :) Cheers.

Bought my O2 Atom Life in 30/7/07. Below are a list of the problem. ~Suppose to hv 64MRAM BUT the actual available is only 48.36MB. 25% gone MIA. ~System automatically reboot when it feel like it, especially when the battery is running low but not as low as totally flat. ~Battery is not even last for 3 hours (what a failure). ~After 5 months plus, built-in battery is not even last for 10 second, meaning everytime when I hv problem with the phone a try to reboot by remove the battery, it hv to be done within 10 second otherwise I hv to reset the clock. ~Not able to pick-up 2nd incoming call (call holding is totally not functioning). ~GSM singal is extremely low when under standby mode. ~Not able to receive call when sync with my pc. ~The system is working damn slow from time to time. ~Wireless Manager run by itself eventhough it 's under stanby mode. ~When switch on the GPS software (MapKing), totally not able to received any call. ~After reboot the system, I hv to wait at least 10 second to call the "Windows Start" function. ~If a program is not function properly & I did not reboot the system, the battery may not even last for 2 hrs.

Hi emery.. well, it was sending sms's etc. but .. its frustratingly in being serviced at the moment for a whole range of problems. the phone had so many problems that it broke down on me .. i feel sorry for the poor buggers who dont get any benefits by buying dodgy phones for me i have to claim it as a tax writeoff and move onto another brand NEVER BUYING ANOTHER O2!. hello.. i just bought the O2 xda atom life (white) and i can't seem to get a signal from any sim. i tried the globe and sun but cannot get any service. it blankly says.."no service". maybe there's just a setting i have to change? please help? i really like the features on this phone..everything works fine though..i can connect to the internet and everything else..it's just that there's no service.. thank you in advance...:)

Recently purchased O2 Atom Life, after 10 years of using Nokia. Voice quality is pathetic (even while using handsfree), battery is half that of Nokia 6681 for similar number of calls, problems in connecting through bluetooth, non-intuitive interface, hangs often. Goods points include - ease to setup email and WiFi, catches GSM signal where 6681 had problems, good PC sync with Outlook.

Bluesy.. you have just bought the o2 atom life phone by the sound of things. Just give it the atom life approx. 4 months and come back to the forum and lets see how you are going then ... like a lot of other o2 atom people this new broom sweeps well at first then ... after a while .. the o2 life has all its issues come out. Software, rom upgrade required, updates, hardware with buttons not working, o2 buzzing speakers, batteries peroforming poorly, poor o2 customer service, etc. one only needs to look through the list of o2 complaints here and see the issues with this phone. Perhaps a rating of 4.8 out of 10 by users on another website might give you an idea that the issues arent peculiar to the people that frequent this site or a simple google search by typing in eg. o2 atom life followed by some key words eg. issues, complaints, problems, user reviews etc.

I don't know what you are talking about, I had this phone after upgrading from an Atom Exec and have had nothing but grief with it. firstly it stalls alot, secondly the phone refuses to sync with my PC amd lastly the SD card isn't being registered, have had the phone for a month and it is already going into be serviced for the second time. So I am about ready to boycott o2 all together. by the way it's the 3rd o2 I've had in 6 months, so that should tell you how realable they are, the Life is just a $1000 paper weight

Pavneet.. WTF are you talking about antivirus scanning. This phone failed to perform even before I hooked up on the internet. Buttons that dont work, buzzing speakers, loose screens, poor battery life, poor customer service, etc etc. just do a simple google search ARE NOT related to viruses.

I am using this phone after I bought this in Hongkong. I am fully satisfied with this Atom Life only except the performance of connecting to a network. When I get into a building, the antenna shows just one or two bars or cannot connect any network. Is this the general problem that every users experience ?

it is a good phone i like it but it sometime really create problems. But it has massive features like it's sound quality can be compared with the apple ipod touch i am saying this because i have both of them maybe the headphone provided along with them are not good but it plays well in all other speakers by using a converter. it has a high defination surround sound and dual speakers which no other pda have.

Here here .. anthony .. your words of wisdom echo to my own sentiments. this phone has caused me no end of problems. i wouldnt be surprised if o2 simply just rebadge this into a different device ...like they do (continuously introducing new and upgraded models) why dont they just get the basic models down pat first like the o2 atom life before trying to sell new models. this phone has been a complete failure for me from a business sense. constantly having problems to a point its better for me to go out and buy something else than have to take it back for constant repairs... lets hope that the managers at O2 phone company are closely monitoring their stats and burn their bottom line as well like it affected mine with all the mucking around, freezing and missed phone calls (drop outs, sms's not arriving, hard resetting of the phone on a random basis) that I had while my O2 atom life WAS WORKING .. and is now .. all but DEAD. This is a very bad device and a waste of money. I donot understand how can a company with a prospect of competing with big companies produce a very bad device like that. It is not a stable device requires reboot at least 3 times a day, output sound is very bad, camera is bad and its battery is useless and worst ever customer service. a $200 device is better.

Bob.. forget trying to run this software on this phone. do some simple searches on google. type: o2 atom life then the words eg. issues, complaints, problems, user reviews... there is a consistant chorus of dissatisfaction from many, many users and poor ratings to match. thats why im getting away from this phone because im one of the dissatisfied o2 customers as well thats had a gutful of the problems with this phone. hope that helps you out?

Small & powerfull PDA, i am having no problem operating this PDA and always stable with 3rd party util to free up the mem, Just make sure u install only ur needed apps not whole preload software included O2 install this is PDA not personal computer, and upgrade newest ROM, unfortunately there's no GPS builtin

to the last two posts. Right on the money! what you said is 100% spot on. I used to have an XDA II by O2. it was a great phone so i thought id get an Atom Exec. That one.. lasted weeks. upgraded to an O2 ATom Life. that one lasted 4 months ..not only poor battery life, moving screen, slow start up, poor pictures, hard resets (even during a phone call), slow performance, speakers buzzing then completely stopped, not ringing tone (dont know where that dissapeared to), centre button not working, answer button not working, call dropouts, call hangup button not working (to a point people were listening into my conversations as phone wouldnt hang up), sms's not arriving, poor navigation. the o2 xda atom life has got everything wrong that could go wrong with a phone. im so dissapointed in this phone and the way that its just become an awefully overpriced paperweight. boohoo..

I bought the atom o2 life and its battery life is very bad. After a full recharge it lasts for a single day (maximum 2) even without making calls or using the device as an MP3 player. I called the customer service and it is the worst customer service you can deal with. They confirmed that there was a batch of faulty batteries, but they refused to replace mine. DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE, BUY FROM A REPUTABLE COMPANY INSTEAD

Thanks O2, I've always wanted to spend $1000 on a paperweight... Avoid this phone like the plague, don't even take it if someone wants to give you one for free. It's not worth the pain you'll go through trying to use it. I used mine for about 4 months, I had to reset it 10 times a day due to the phone freezing up (terrible memory leakage, 14mb free after reset then down to 1 or 2mb after a few hours with all programs stopped!!!). it was slow (so much for a fast processor) and switched itself off randomly. The screen was flimsy, hopeless battery life. I stuck with it hoping that ROM upgrades would fix a few of the problems but they just got worse. Untill one day i went to make a phone call and i couldn't hear anyone at the other end and they couldn't hear my voice. The mic and speaker were both gone. There's only one O2 authorised service centre in australia and it's in QLD so they wanted me to pay for postage to send the phone there and back. I didn't bother as i figured i've wasted enough money on this piece of junk. I've just bought a HTC TyTN 2, and so far so good. I can safeley say that I will never again purchase anything from O2.

i bought this phone from someone else for a considerably low price & now it's been almost 4 months. my major concern is the auto shut-off problem when the batt is quite low & the not-as-expected cpu speed. honestly, i really like the design & i'm truly hoping that o2 can do something about all the "concerns" as posted. btw, is there anyone here still have positive comments after more than 6 months of use?

Hi mohamed, have you created a partnership with the other bluetooth device? perhaps you need to look at how this is set up.. but to be receiving data(?) then .. perhaps you have a partnership in place. sounds strange.. then again.. stranger and more frustrating things have happened with this O2 atom life. Have you had many issues with your phone like me (and all the others i suppose on this site) to report? be curious to know.

Cyrax. thats your opinion but its not shared by a lot of o2 atom life users on this and many forums. this phone from what appears on a lot of user posts does have issues. theres no need to go through them because im sure you might like a bit of practice to go through and find out for yourself which appears you havent. i would be interested to find out if your phone is still working well in 6 months time or you have joined the chorus of dissatisfied customers.

Hi.. its a hard decision if you got for your Bd i dont envy your situation because the person gave it with good intentions. i had a couple of the O2 lifes so far, long time user of the XDAII (old clunky phone) then upgraded only to find the lifes go dead on me. Im a HEAVY USER of phones making and receivng lots of calls, photos and voice notes and seriously for me this phone hasnt performed well. Ive been so unhappy with it. Im in a similar position because ive got dead O2's and dont know what to buy? ive gone back to using an old Siemens keypad mobile and its annoying the hell out of me because i love PDAs. Once a PDA user always one... but ..for me .this one has failed the test. sorry to sound so general.

this device is absolutely useless,I cannot tell you enough how bad it is. I have to reset it 10 times a day cannot recieve calls when with customers. I am in IT and am not stupid when it comes to using mobiles. Today the processor use indicator has been going around for 3 hours, I cannot syncronise to PC and use the phone to make calls. i want my money back.

The Atom Life is definitely a "lemon!" Just bought this 2 days ago, and I am having hearing problem aready. Sound quality of callers is very low no matter what the phone volume is set. The phone hangs quite abit when clicking on some programs. I used Vito Audio Notes to record calls and ironically callers' voices were very loud, but I could not hear myself talking at all. Worse yet, the speaker sounded very broken. I am going to exchange it for something else. I paid $600. I would keep it if it's free. Bottom line: worse than a lowest end phone available today when it comes to call quality. Don't buy it!

there was a guy on another site proposing to take a class action to O2 over the poor performance of this phone.. In relation to other sites giving glossy reviews eg. cnet, asiamobile etc. websites. Dont believe what you read on o2 atom life as the reviewers have probably only used the phone once rather than for some weeks or a couple of months depending on how long your model lasts for. There are some real consistant problems emerging with the phone but its just not one or two issues .. its a whole myriad of problems with the o2 product. this product might look good but its not designed to last especially if you are a high call user and use the phone constantly or rely on it for business ...you might end up with a DEAD o2 atom life in about 3 or 4 months. For those that have had 4+ months use out of the phone... Good on you

Hi Kevin? you asking what the main problem of the O2 life is? try .. the phone is completely dead after 4 months. prior to that i put up with freezing, buttons not working, constant resets, poor signal and battery, slow speed, A LOOSE SCREEN that when you pressed it you could feel it moving, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, poor battery, slow, slow slow (despite claims of a fast processor) and the list goes on. buzzing of speaker phone was annoying and also people could hear me droping in and out during a conversation. Dont buy this phone. read the reviews by simply google searching other sites and you will find O2 atom, atom life, O2 exec phones are all the same. one word waste of money. the other thing is i bought my phone for AUD$1150 4 or so months ago, now i see theyre advertising online for $599. great investment huh. they must be trying to run these phones out because none of them are selling. wasted plenty of time with this phone in lost business with breakdowns of hardware.

Hi Kevin, the O2 Atom Life is now running WM6. go for 3g capability of a mobile phone .. you wont regret it .. unfortunately as a user of this o2 life phone I WOULDNT recommend buying it - you will end up with a lot of heart ache and money down the drain. trust me, i am talking from experience here. Better look at another 3g capable phone, however, i cannot suggest one. Ive had nothing but problems with this o2 phone along with a number of other o2 users posting reviews of the o2 atom life below. just do a search of various o2 atom user reviews on other mobile sites if you dont believe the reviews on this site. The O2 atom life has been nothing but trouble for me .. sorry to say and dissapointment how a company could sell such a product at the price it commands and deliver junk.

Ya, i was considering this phone until recently but descided to research the web before buying. I came accross this forum which is very good. I've read many many other user discussion groups O2 Atom life mobile pda phone discussion groups and they all had the same issues discussed here with this atom pda phone. problem after problem about people complaining about O2 Atom life pda phone not delivering on standard expected. I am without doubt it is not the users but the o2 atom users hardware from the many many o2 atom pda complints that have been written on the various mobile phone forums. my opinion anyway and thankyou to those that submit opinions onto this site.

Do a little bit of research on the net ..type into google for example: O2 atom life with words .. eg. problems, issues, complaints etc. and you will see that the O2 life and its younger broth the O2 Atom is a completely faulty phone. Ive had the smaller one (O2 Atom) and that was rubbish (similar faults to whats all been outlined by posts) and then tried a life only to find it too was a failure. Hope this helps. try eg. a palm or something as i havent used a palm before but surely to god its gotta be better than the O2 products ive had

I have the O2 life now for about 6 month and I had alot of problem with freezing and downloading my e-mails. I did upgraded to WM6 and now I have no more problem with my O2. Works great with no more errors. Only problem i have probably with setting which I do not know how to modify is down loading my yahoo e-mail automaticly and it will make auto log. This make my battery life shorter keep on getting on line and checking my e-mails. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

I bought the phone with a friend who alsoo bought one at the same time, they have been inudated with problems with this O2 Atom Life but thank Christ they havent had to send their phone away for a ROM upgrade .. Something fishy going on here. Its happened twice on both of my phones that I have needed ROM upgrades soon after purchase. Please O2, dont sell phones that you know cant perform out of the factory. If you want quality, make sure they are fit for purpose before leaving your backyard factory or whichever tin pot shed you manurfacture these phones from!

Been having trouble with my O2 Life also Switched it on and it loads to the blue splash screen and does not go any further ... - soft reset - hard reset -- - taking battery out and putting back - call O2 technical support and they said to charge phone? THEN do the rom upgrade... This is wasting a lot of my time. I dont have time to waste trying to sort out problems with a faulty product :( let alone send the phone away by post for repairs to a repair centre and be without a phone. I checked a number of other opinions and reviews on the net and wow! seems im not alone.

Well back to hell. The P990i was a disaster so I traded it for an n95. The N95 was the best so far but very badly made and it's battery life did not support the extras. So now I get a O2 Atom and the wifi doesnt work even after a trip to the sevice center. I'm taking up golf......You don't need wi fi or bluetooth for golf.Golf has got to be better.

after reading your reviews below, just had to add one more...having used this for 6 odd months. initially was still fine but the screen starts to freeze every now & then. If phone goes out of network range (underground) sms received disappears, had to restart phone & sms will then appear marked under sim memory. phone always hangs when updating music library...have since downloaded the sms backup software & gonna go for WM6 to see if i can revive stability. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE, ITS HORRIBLE :(

There has got to be a much simpler way to set up networking options rather than the mess that is currently is place. This o2 atom life pda phone has well known faults like doing intermittent hard resets .. even during regular phone calls. You simply have to do some basic google searches and you'll find pages and pages of poor user opinions on this o2 atom life mobile pda phone. try searching o2 life issues or o2 life problems and you'll see what i mean.

My O2 Life cant receive texts. The screen lights up as if its about to get a call or text then the light goes off. Been onto phone company Telstra who say its my phone. O2 Australia has extremely poor customer service. Not only are your calls rerouted to an overseas call centre and you have to deal with call centre staff unacustomed to the language, accent and sensitivities of Australian customer service standards, there is ONLY ONE repair centre in Australia and its just a repair centre that sub contracts to O2. Its not even an organisation owned by O2/inhouse servicing. POOR O2, VERY POOR.

I have had this phone for 2 months during which it has worked for less than 10 days. The first phone I had overheated. After much argument about whose fault it was (note it is always assumed to be your fault) I was given a replacement phone. This phone now has a screen that does not work and hence the phone is totally useless. I have yet to get to the HK repair centre as I live in Taiwan but service on line has just been rude and unhelpful. Basically go to the rpair centre, then you are on your own.

O2 Atom life issues and problems outlined as follows, this o2 atom life phone is getting a roasting!! on other forums eg. Zdnet for the issues and problems. Why O2 life is a big one to avoid (and a qualifying note to those that seem happy with their O2 atom life phones) I have two O2 atom life phones, One O2 atom life has stopped working the other O2 life is nearly there. Just wait a couple more months and have the O2 atom life phone for say 6+ months then come back and tell us how happy you are. issues: 1. O2 life has a slow processor. O2 atom life processor is a sluggish performer. doesnt live up to the speed. 2. O2 atom life phone resets itself constantly (one of two O2 atom lifes ive had) 3. poor battery life. may last under 4 hrs if running bluetooth, internet, phone. 4. O2 atom life has Poor camera. Some pictures vary from frame shot to shot .. and thats for the same subject at the same time. 5. Answer button has failed, centre toggle button doesnt work, off button now failed. 6. O2 atom life Speaker is buzzing. .. 7. Check.. speaker/phone no longer rings for me. missing lots of calls today. 7. poor button function. navigation is poor. 8. Both O2 life phones have issues with the buttons. On both new phones both have had their answer, end call and centre toggle buttonfail and the speakers all buzzed! 9. One of the two lifes no longer works. Gone back to buying older O2 XDA II off the Ebay because they are reliable, great phones. 10. very very poor technical support and customer service. Have you try escalating a call? when you do come back to me and tell me what you thought of the quality of customer service then. Go for it!! check out other sites and forums and see what problems others are having. you will see the problems with the o2 atom life are pretty consistant. these issues are the same regardless of country. this is a faulty phone by O2 clearly not up to the task.

As related by another user on this board, my Atom Life that i have recently bought in HK has the same symtoms of reseting itself more than once a day. It is really troublesome, and i hope a next ROM will fix this problem. Otherwise i should consider it is a hardware problem. I previously had a O2 Atom that had quite many problems also (motherboard changed once, screen changed twice etc...), i'm afraid this O2 device will be the last i buy.

I have also detected that the phone turns off by itself when the battery is around 30% on my PDA. And when i recharge it, i have to wait at least 20 minutes before being able to restart it. This problem is really troublesome. Will O2 solve it by a new ROM or is it a product design defect?

Ive been posting A NUMBER of reviews about two O2 life phones PDA that i bought. Im in Australia. One has completely stopped now some months after purchase which is being sorted by warranty issue. The person using that has gone back to an XDA II (which weve had a number) and is loving it inspite of its size the old O2 XDA is a great, reliable phone and quick. To top it all off NEW PROBLEMS with o2 life: MENTIONED BEFORE, centre toggle button and answer button doesnt work. Now the call end button doesnt work. Ive had many calls that simply wouldnt hang up and people are listening to what is happening!!! eg. i had a situation where i couldnt hang up the call and the people stayed on purpose listening to me and i had to do a reset of the phone because the phone froze and i could still hear them on the other line. To make matters worse .. my speaker phone IS BUZZING!!!! and now, my speaker is not working. this is a phone less than 6 months old and has problems. I am getting many calls so far today no phone ringing. This is really really rubbish O2!! .. by the way your CALL CENTRE service is rubbish. Did you know there are no managers in O2 where you can escalate calls to. The response is we are just a call centre, they have a Level II, but trying to get some action is VERY VERY frustrating. Phone is very slow.. doesnt live up to specs. The amount of trouble ive had with these phones deserves a separate standaline blog called O2lifeisrubbish.com

Hey guys, just on the O2 Atom Life issues with the battery. My O2 Atom Life starts indicating that its battery is low at 20% level and continues from there - making the reminder beeps. I find that the O2 Atom Life just cannot handle (from a battery point of view) all the applications its made to do eg. internet, phone, bluetooth and Wifi. try getting less than under 3-4 hrs use when all those things are running on the O2 Life but hey.. im in the car, i need bluetooth, i need internet email send pictures and i need to make calls (no Wifi). What is really frustrating is the O2 Atom life issues with power .. its a panick if im running out of battery because if the O2 Life phone goes off .. THATS IT!!! I have to wait a minimum of 20 to 30 minutes on a power charge for the O2 Life to come back on. In that time there may have been calls i was expecting etc that missed and clients getting angry that my O2 life is off. This is really, really inconvenient for me to sit and wait for the O2 Atom Life to recharge itself. I would have thought O2 in designing the Atom life would have thought of making plug in charger override the O2 Atom life battery and be able to run the phone of direct power. See all my other posts if you want to buy an O2 Atom life phone. The real problems and issues with the O2 Atom Life may not come out until weeks after purchase.

i dont know which phone you guys are talking of cause i have one to its been with me for the last 4+ moths and has performed like a beauty.. yes i do agree the photo quality is the video quality is bad to but what the hell its a phone not a camera.. im typing now and the same time thinking what bad can i say about the phone the only thing i regret in the phone i guess would be is just the 64MB RAM which could have been 128MB this would have been great.. well most of you who have posted here has just not used it properly only i would say.. to me it was a beauty the rest is left to the person bying the O2 XDA Atom Life

it is really pity that some of you got a problematic atom life. well, i guess that atom life quality control is not that good.. i had mine last month, but i decided to swap with a new n95 unit, not because it is not working. i happened to get a white htc -3600i also, this one i saw in one of the shops in macau, and the white one really attracted me and made me bought it. since i have two pda phones already, i decided to swap my atom life with new nokia n95 in manila during my stay there last week of september. but one thing i notice before swapping with n95, we found out (with other party) my atom life phone did not work on globe telecom sim.. although i am using smart network.. anyway, swapping was still done..

Bought the Atom Life after receommendation but failed to check "opinions" websites such as this one. And have regretted since day one. The unit resets by itself frequently and shuts down even when about 40% to 50% battery life remaining. Most if the issues identified here are also applicable to my unit. Treid to get assistance from O2 and till today no response from them. Will upgrading to v6 resolve issues?

This is really a bad PDA. everyone is free to decide to buy it, but do not complain later on anymore. hundreds of people warned you not to buy. I also did not believed them, but believe me, they are all right. it is a terrible phone. From the moment I have the money to buy TyTNII I will destroy it. Hi guys I read all your post re shutdown issue with O2 atom life, I have been having same problem, when battery reach 40-50% the phone shutdown by itselt, and even when battery fully charged, some time it still happens. I discover one thing, when I hold the phone and shaking it , like when you shake hands with some one, the phone is turn off too. So I guess, the problem may be raised from the attactment between battery and the phone, not only the software. So if you 're upgrade it to WM6, may be not work to fix "shutdown " issue.

O2 life mobile issues I bought two of these phones. Ive had so many problems with both phones from day 1. in a matter of months later .. the central navigation button doesnt work. the answer call button doesnt work, the end call button doesnt work, the phone is slow, the pictures are poor quality, the handsfree is BUZZING, the battery life is poor, the calls drop out and the signal strength is poor, the phone is slow to respond, it tells me my battery is running low on 20% capacity, if it runs out (of battery) then it takes 20+ minutes on charge before i can restart the phone, the navigation of windows software is poor (too complicated) not simple like old XDA II by O2 which i went through 5 of!!! and love those phones. O2 customer support is poor and the customer support dont ring you back when tell you. there are many many issues with O2 life phone issues problems and i have many complaints about o2 life mobile phone. I bought two of these o2 life mobile phones for my company after having five XDA II phones which worked extremely well for us. very bad phone indeed and O2 need to pick up their act because im leaving O2 and going to buy another brand!!!

I bought a O2 XDA Atom Life in Malaysiia and had problems with it from day one, it would go dead even though battery was > than 50% and a soft reset would not work. Had to plug into charge before the SW would load. Wasted a lot of time and had to rework all the sync files after hard reset. But the customer service in Kuala Lumpur was excellent, they replaced my phone with a new one and am starting to enjoy using the phone. But am keeping my fingers crossed, hope I do not have other problems. This is a very expensive phone and should not be having this problems. I wish I could charge/sue O2 for the time wasted and missed business calls.

Hi all. I had bought this phone in Indonesia. The phone hang after i received continuous SMS. Like 10 or more. There is no explanation for this error. I sent the phone to O2 service centre in Indonesia, but they had kept my phone for 2 weeks! How could they be holding my phone for so long? O2 service and product quality really makes me angry and dissapointed. This is my first O2 device, prior to this, I owned Nokia N80.

There is a mistake in this data! Atom Life's display is not 65K colors! It's support 262K colours but because of Windows Mobile just 65,536 is effective!

I post this blog as a warning to all those of you out there who wish to buy an O2 product in India,the O2 customer service or rather harrasement centre in India( I guess that says it all)is simply fantastic.I purchased an O2 xda atom life and the phone developed a fault within the fourth day of use.The O2 policy calls for replacement of the product which they term as an "Out of the box failure" if the phone develops faults within the first month of usage.I promptly logged a fault call and was promised a replacement phone within 2 days.It has been fifty days since that call and several calls and emails later I am yet to get a replacement.Even the CEO Mark Billington to whom I wrote an email hasnt bothered to respond( Way to go O2!!!).The whole incident speaks volumes about how the ensuring customer delight programme works at O2.

What a buggy hunk of junk. I bought this phone a few months ago and hoped to use it for buisness. It does nothing but lock up and hang. Its very unuser friendly. If you want to make a call while driving good luck. No stylus no call. The screen has already got a bad scratch in it from comming in contact with a key in my pocket. There is no case made that clips onto a belt loop that i can find. The camera is worse than my first digital camera i bought 10 years ago. Ok thats enough. Anyone wanna buy a phone?

Hi Please dont buy this device. I purchased this device in Bangkok and was in India for a vaccation. The mobile hang all of a sudden. A hard and soft reset doesnt work. After trying 10000 times to the call center in India i could finally get them online. As promised they got my device for service. After that there is no response, been trying for weeks together and no one lifts the phone in the customer care. No response for the email enquires also. A record of 1 hour 40 minutes i was trying continous and you get the same recorded message "All agents are busy..." Pathetic service and responses over mail. My STD phone bills are now costlier than the phone as i still keep trying to know the status of my handset. To be frank i dont know how good is the device as i did not use it more than 2 days. What i was afraid is the kind of support they offer, no responses in the call center or for the emails........there is no proper place to escalate this issue in the O2 site. Jay

I have an o2 Atom Life black and htc p3600i in white. I can say when you touch atom life, it feels more sturdy and better built compare with htc p3600i or trinity as called by others.. trinity looks more elegant especially the black, but once touched more plastic than atom life.. but i like them both from different perspective thats why I bought them.

hello Pilar, i suggest you claim for replacement of your atom life and make sure before leaving bring 3 active sim cards, smart, sun and globe for test. i am working in telecom company here in japan, and i believe there is nothing wrong with globe network, i have tested globe network for several SIMs on roaming during my business trip in manila.. a friendly advise.

My O2 Atom Life is white limited. I am very happy with the set and so far has not experience any problem. It is definitely better design than dopod d810 and thinner more compact. I wish O2 would include more accessories to claim "Limited Edition" exclusivity.

nokia N95 is a very good , a tons of features phone. Actually I do have an o2 atom life and n95 (before).. i traded-in my n95 for e90 because i also like e90.. but keeping n95 and e90 with atom life is too much.. n95 is very good, although i felt bad letting it go, but replaced with e90 that somehow relieving. actually i have also sirocco, thats why i thought of giving in for my n95.. anyway, once the n95 8G comes out, i might sell my e90 or o2 atom life. conclusion, still depends on individual preference..

hello ewze, if your preference is size and weight, i would recommend atom life, but if you prefer more stable system, I suggest you get an htc hermes. but dopod has 810 same size and weight as atom life but not as good looking.. if you opt for atom life, upgrade to WM6, more stable than WM5..

I am now a happy owner of Atom Life, after upgrading my unit to WM6 and made some settings so that not much use of power is necessary. If your Atom Life unit still in WM5, try to upgrade to WM6 and optionally not to install add-ons software from o2, your unit will be working satisfactorily.

in fairness with o2 atom life, I just received my order yesterday with WM5 OS, not as good as the other contemporaries with same OS, but after upgraded to WM6 it works perfectly. What I am trying to say, try to upgrade your unit to WM6. That can be the solution to all your problems. Now, I am very happy and satisfied with my Atom Life..

hey!that problem is common to o2 atom models, i have encountered that with my atom exec. just so a hard reset of the unit and it'll work just fine! here's how.. 1. simultaneously press the on/off (power) button and the soft reset button (the small "hole" at the buttom.. 2. then, simultaneously press the green and red phone buttons (the button used for placing and terminating a call, respectively. after doing these, the phone is restored to its original configuration. caveat:all data stored will be lost! hope this helps! cheers!

hey hunzala I'm having the same problem as yours. My phone shutdown when the batt reaches 50% and it won't switch on if the simcard is still in it but it will switch on without the simcard. It seems like when the batt reaches 50%, it can't run or support both the phone and the simcard. I did everything what others have recommended but nothing seem to work. Bought the phone all the way in Singapore in early July. Anyone out there...please help!

I owen this phoen about 4 Months now. My number one problem with this phone is battery life. Even I do not use it at all much as a phone and use my Nokia phone for most of my phone calls. But my O2 need to be charge everyday otherwise run out of power. I am not sure if or when Sony W960 come then is it good enough to replace my O2?

i buy it about 1 weeks ago, it brings with windows mobile 5 and additional soft from O2 such code wallet pro 6, sudoku, sms backup, O2 media plus, O2 sms plus, etc... i tested the HSDPA speed with my laptop through internet sharing and i tried to download something.. it's speed about 27kbps - 34kbps (depends on gsm signal strength).. but after disconnect the device become a little bit lags... after a few days i tried to upgrade with windows mobile 6 rom... (downloaded from O2 official website ).. and i tried the same thing (connected to 3G and used it for 1 hour)... and after disconnect the device still run fast.. i think wm6 improved alot things and bug fixed ... more stable, cpu speed optimize, device become more fast, added new features data storage encryption and sure it's far away from soft reset.. O2 XDA Atom Life with Windows Mobile 6 ---> It's Recomended!! It's Rocks!! Best device i've ever had!!

this a warning to all those who are planning to buy o2 devices in the future! beware! I am from India. I was happy using O2 phones such as the XDA II and the Atom so I decided to go in for another. I purchased an O2 XDA Stealth on Feb 12th 2007 and had immediately regretted the decision as I started facing a hell lot of problems in the device. Almost after a month of correspondence with O2 they sent me a replacement handset. I was happy until i opened the new unit. It had the same problems and some new. Again after long talks with O2 (Mr Keanu) they sent me another replacement promising me that this would work but it did not. Naturally I was very angry and frustrated. At this stage I ahd lost all faith in the Stealth and demanded O2 to give me some other handset for all the inconvienience that I have faced . After a series of talks with O2 Singapore(Mr Keanu) I received an Atom Exec. But my problems worsened! After a couple of days the Exec "died" ie it would not charge. when the charger was connected it would show full battery and when disconnected it would switch off and not switch on for days. Highly annoyed and frustrated I began my talks again with O2 and at the same time bought the O2 Zinc. That was another error from my side as the Zinc also had problems. Its indicator LED malfunctioned and the microphone gave out static. Those were horrible times for me having two defective handsets. O2 finally agreed to replace both these handsets and they did. So I have already used 3 Stealths, 2 Atom Execs and 2 Zincs. That adds up to 7 O2 phones in about five and a half months!!! Well things dont end here. once again I am having problems with the Zinc such as the LED is malfunctioning, the speaker switches on automatically when a call is made, the speaker dies out, screen freezes..etc.. So to all those who are planning on investing their money on an O2 device please do not as the quality of O2 devices is degrading day by day and is no longer dependable as it once upon a time was. if any of you want to know bout the problems i faced in these many devices please contact me on +919884414907

here's the following things i've done so far coz i experienced the shutdown problem 1. flashed the O2 Atom Life to WM6 rom (from O2) 2. set the network connection to GSM (by default it's AUTO) 3. cleaned the battery contacts maybe there's an application incompatibility with some of the apps you've installed on your atom life. and yeah flashing an Atom Life to WM6 is really needed if you want device stability.

Try cleaning the battery contact but still have the same problem. It shutdown soon after the Windows Mobile screen pops up. This only happen when the sim card is in.

@AtomLifeUser dude have you checked the contacts of the battery and your Atom Life? try cleaning it. some devices that have dirty contacts tend to shut down on itself. then after cleaning it, monitor it again.

Just bought it abt 2 weeks ago in S'pore. But I'm facing a problem now. It keeps on shutting down on its own(even when the battery is full). I'm using a Brunei sim card, service provider DST (pre-paid line). Can anyone help? Is there a problem with the settings, softwares or the simcard? Thanks!

Having used an O2 XDA Mini and Neo, this looks like a gem of a phone. However, 64 MB ram seems rather inadequate given the features and capabilities. Apart from that, and the fact that you cannot sync a Windows Mobile device with a Mac (unless you use 3rd party Software), this phone appears brilliant.

dude about the shutdown problem, try cleaning the contacts of your battery and your device. I've tried that and so far so good. and yeah, try using spacers to let the battery have a good contact with the device (a small strip of tape will do. and yeah flash Atom Life with B2 WM6 ROM coz of it's low drainage and so far so good. another, try to use one band of network like GSM and not set it to AUTO for better battery life. O2 XDA Atom Life WM6 unit from Singapore + Transcend 2GB MiniSD ROCKS!!!! PINOY ATOM LIFE USER HERE

if you don't receive email from O2 allowing you to download WM6, you can bring your device to the service center in Ortigas. They perform upgrading there. Given the problems that I am encountering and encountered w/ this device since the 1st day that I bought this, I WOULD NOT recommend this device. The price of 46K does not commensurate with the service/ satisfaction that you will get from this device.

This phone has every feature you could possible want! it looks nice, touch screen, all the media functions and push email capabilities. Infact its one of the best pocket computers i have ever seen. The only downfall is that its speaker and functionality as an actual phone is terrible. is it possible to download the blackberry server onto any other pda phones? it would make life cheaper.

I'm taking back whatever I have written about Globe prepaid SIM working with my Atom Life. After additional testings, the following are my observations: 1. I can send and receive text messages using a Globe prepaid SIM. 2. I can receive calls. 3. I can make calls to Globe toll free numbers (211 or 222). 4. You can a landline or cellphone number and it will ring, but you can not hear each other when it is answered. Your Atom will show a message that it is dialling the number and you can not terminate it by pressing "end". It will just stop dialling on its own after about 30 seconds (fotunately, you will not be charged anything for the call). My unit was purchased abroad, so I can say that the problem is true for all Atom Life. As I see it, the problem is probably with the verification of prepaid balance (handshake process) to allow the call. It looks like Globe and the Atom can not understand each other. My advice: Do not buy an Atom Life if you intend to use it with a Globe Prepaid SIM. You will just be disappointed. I use an unlimited Globe Visibility (postpaid SIM) on my Atom, so this is not a problem with me. But just thinking that I can not properly use a Globe prepaid SIM if I want to decreases my appreciation of the Life. Cheers!

I bought my Atom life in HK. It just kept hanging...I tried to have the OS reinstalled in Ortigas and it worked better only for a few hours then went back to hanging. I upgraded yesterday to WM6 and the phone worked much better but then the "hanging" spells have returned. My phone just shuts down when the phone is left unused and when I press the power button the phone makes a soft reset. Anyone has the same problem?

Ganda, You may have done this already, but can you just check if your connection settings (band setting) is at AUTO or GPRS. You may have a problem if it is set to UTMS. Set it first to GPRS and try the prepaid SIM again.

I've tested my Atom Life on Globe prepaid and it's working without any problems (both for calls and text messages). I got my Atom in Kuala Lumpur but is using it here in the Philippines. I'm wondering what's wrong with the Philippine release - it should work with any SIM if it is unlocked. Cheers!

I noticed that a Globe SIM can not make and receive calls when the 3G signal is low (one bar. This is true for almost all phones, including Nokias, and not just the Atom. Try switching the band to GPRS only, or use it outdoors where the signal is strong. I think that the 3G signal at the store was very low when it was tested that's why the Globe prepaid SIM did not work.

I bought my Atom Life in Kuala Lumpur and was able to use it with both Globe and Smart here in the Philippines. The unit "auto-configures" my settings whenever I change my SIM from Globe to Smart (vice-versa). I can not understand why the Atom Life purchased locally can have a problem using the local SIM. Something must be wrong with the unit. If you are having a problem with the Globe prepaid SIM, I suggest you borrow a Globe postpaid sim and auto-configure it. The settings will be retained once you insert a prepaid SIM from the same provider (Globe). Cheers!

this is the first time i encounter the situation where a supposedly unlocked phone cannot be used in certain operator(Globe PH), thus some kind of network configurations are necessary.. i have been to almost 42 countries in the world bringing a very new unlocked phones, and no problem of using the local SIM card of each country I have been.. i bought my xda atom life a week ago and i found out that when a GLOBE PREPAID (PHILIPPINES) sim is in it, it is unable to receive and make calls. Per the dealer whom i 've talked with, the system with GLOBE telecom (re: XDA atom life) is yet to be fixed within the week... I'm so sad to learn about this since I can't fully utilize my xda.

The upgrade will change the operating system on the Atom Life from Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition to Windows Mobile 6 (WM6) Professional. Available from May 12, the Atom Life will become one of the first commercially-available Windows Mobile products to sport the newer OS. Atom Life handhelds sold in stores from June onwards will also be preloaded with WM6. In comparison, Dopod, which will be acquired by HTC, will be upgrading its selected devices to WM6 in July. Furthermore, the enhancements in the O2 Atom Life like O2 SMS Plus and O2 MediaPlus have been tested on the new OS, and will still be available on the Atom Life after the upgrade. In addition, O2 said it is testing WM6 on its upcoming Xda Flame as well, and that the rest of its products to be launched in 2007 will also sport the new OS. This unit is using Qualcomm MSM6280 chipset (Dopod D810 using MSM6275) which have AGPS capability. Not sure whether O2 will release any ROM to activate GPS function, like Dopod D810?

The XDA Atom Life is your everyday PDA with Phone. It runs on WM 5 and stable. It has most of the bells and whistles a Tech Person will need with the exception of GPS. The PDA is fast thanks to its 624Mhz processor. And has 1G ROM for storage to store your files, video and music. Memory is expandable via the mini-SD card. The only concern with the unit is Battery Life. It is rated at 150-200 hours standby and 4 hours of talk time (3G around 2 hours). Actual usage on a non-3G networks requires the PDA to be charged everyday. As the unit is relatively new in the market, expect 3rd party vendors to offer an EXTENDED Battery version. Overall, I am a satisfied user of this PDA. I do hope that O2 will release a ROM Upgrade to WM6.

I've been using the Atom Life for more than a month now and it is the best PDA phone I've used so far. My previous phones have been from Dopod and HP. The highlights for the Atom Life are its fast processor and its fast HSDPA connectivity. This means that it can briskly handle most tasks (editing Word and Excel document, reading PDFs, etc.) and can browse the web with fast transfer rates. These two key points are enough for me to rate it as top of its current peers (Dopod 810, Samsung i718, HP rw6828). The other factors that I like about the Atom Life are its compact design, its 1GB internal ROM and its overall brand theme integration within Windows Mobile. The negative points for the Atom Life are its lackluster speakers and the casing's glossy finish (fingerprint smudge galore). System stability doesn't seem to be an issue for me, but the occassional reset may be required if things freeze up. However, system hangs doesn't appear to be as frequent as on the Dopods or the HPs (the Dopod 818pro drove me insane). Overall, I give the Atom Life a 9/10 rating for features and a 9/10 for performance. Design is too subjective to warrant a quantitative rating.

Those complaining about battery life need to set Band setting to GSM mode rather then HSDPA.Use 900+1800 GSM. Keep 3G only for when you need to surf net. Will save lots of battery time after.

You can change the sorting order with the select menu in the messager, it's right there. The camera does not suck. It's actually pretty good quality, but the shutter speed delay is a problem. It's ok to move your hands abit after you press the button, just make sure you're still when you hear the "ka chee!" sound of the camera. The speakers are still notoriously weak though, though it's quite an improvement from the previous atom exec. Everything else is just top notch.

Used for 5 days and I sold it off....The phone has got lots of bells and whistle. But the battery cannot handle the load. IF you need to make alot of calls and do browsing....You must buy two batteries. The battery cannot last more than 20hrs.

I've used Dopod 810 and 838 Pro before. The Atom Life processing is really fast. However, the battery span is not as good as Dopod. The Customer Service is the worst you can get. As the 02 website states, the Atom Life comes with Value Added Applications. (CodeWallet Pro, WorldMate) The CodeWallet Pro was in Trial Version. I called the 02 Customer Service and they will look into the matter. After a week, I called again and there wasn't any news. Waited for another week and called again. And they told me it's Trial Version and they cannot do anything about it. I asked them to define what's Value Added Application and they say they cannot do anything about it. As far as I am concern, Dopod have a better Customer Support. In conclusion, all I can say about 02 is "A first class phone with third class customer support."

hello arlee, good you asked.. this pda is only good because of its size and memory.. but camera is not so good for its price, you better get a nokia n95 or htc or dopod pda units. for n95 definitely very good camera both for stills and video, for htc/dopod, above average camera much better than O2 atom life, much functions and upgradable to WM6 for free.. I have my atom life a few days ago, but have to resell because of too much dissapointments.. look at the voting results, way down than htc/dopod and nokia n95.. dont loose your money for this expensive brick..

This HTC TyTn is one of the best and hottest PDA nowadays, good looking and highly functional PDA also. Why dont you check GSMARENA on HTC brand and check for TyTn. I tell you, you wont regret it.

I started with an IPAQ (Brick) and then went to an O2 Atom II - there was some serious memory issues with it so it frequently hung. I've now got the Life and it's infinitely better. I think a lot of the issues with the atom are when you run the O2 software as it chews up all the processor speed. They've fixed that with the new software for the life. The big advantage of the O2's is size - it's about the same size as you're average mobile so you don't mind carrying it in your pocket.

do not buy anthing thats 02 especially 02 Atom devices i bought the first 02 Atom and since then they have allways had problems they are no good so many patches but just too many problems made by inferior company that has no experience making pda phones customer service is crap. i bought this phone for gps on i bought a good gps and installed TOM TOM problem was the phone would not rechage through the car charger while using gps meaning the the gps sucked the battery dry in less than 50mins of fully charged so what good was that. stay clear read user comments not magazines which are paid to comment well on the phone. cheers all.

I just wanted to buy this thing! any PDA phone will do. But I prefer O2 because of it's unique capability compared to blackberry here in Phil. you cannot easly purchse blackberry because you need to apply for a postpaid plan. But with O2 it's no that. I will buy an O2 tomorrow to my local sari2x store. ehehehe Take care guyd!

O2 Been always afraid of competitiona and now if they are afraid about the Applephone: What the heck,Applehone is just a iPod with a phone around it. Thinking of buying this through someone and take the risk of using it here in the UK. I do have the Orbit and still think it is a great PDA phone to use. I think O2 should wake up in life in put their first rate country of firm fisrt and then the rest of the World.That is why they will go down in bussiness.Because I cannot get the HTC TyTN not a O2 contract,I decide to buy a second hand SPV 3 MDA Vario at a shop in London,unlock it and use my O2 contract sim in it.Although I will also have the same one year warrenty from the shop at less the price of a one year contract.I will also be cheaper than Expansys HTC TyTN and can be seen here (http://www.expansys.com/b.aspx?i=138056) and this phone is the better option for me to go for the XDA Atom Life. I am a bit dissapointed that this phone will NOT be released in the UK !! It is O2's loss and not mine because I will just get the GPS receiver,have the TomTom 6 softeware already.

Can't believe O2 won't release this in the UK for fear of upsetting the apple cart for the XDA Exec or Orbit. I have an Exec but now think it's just too big as I don't use the keyboard enough but the Orbit doesn't have 3G so no good for me their. This phone would be perfect! Don't understand why a UK company doesn't give their home market it's best phone

What about the sound problem? What about saving a phone number to an existing contact? What about the problem of sound disapearance when listening to music with the bluetooth stereo earphones... what about, what about Crossbow instead of WM5? The most important, why not a 256 or at least a 128 RAM? this would make the new O2 PPC the real replacement for my Atom

To have Navigation in your Smartphone what you need is a built in GPS reciever. how ever this device is lack of that reciever. But what you can do is, buy a GPS reciever with a navi software and install it to your device. such as TomTom. i have a HTCP3300 aka Artemis aka Tmobie compact3 aka XDA orbit this device has a buit in gps reciever.

I Do agree this is very good but the Xda flame is coming out soon and has the ability to play h.264 and wmv9 plus has xbox gaming graphics on board via its goforce 5500 and i know which side of the fence on my on.

Wow, this is the most powerful PPC I know so far. Everything is in a small device. 02 will be very successful with this Atom. HP, HTC and Eten have good PDA but there's still some disadvantages such as slow CPU speed, lack of some functions, etc. I wish that O2 will release this phone soon.

Why someone is posting comments about Nokia N series in this forum.We know what Nokia phones are,THEY ARE PHONES. This forum is about Xda i.e. PDAs. People use windows based PDA'phones' for the SPECIALIZED softwares they can support and not for their camera lens and BIG hard drives!I use my medical softwares, some of them bigger than 20 MB,while listening to music playing in the background and connected to GPRS 24*7.I have 4 GB transcend SD card for 3200 Rs only,so why pay a fortune for a device with a big HD.N series and Xda are totally different things not to be compared with one another.

You can send files in this manner with just the file explorer also,it shows sending in RED if beam is used and BLUE if bluetooth.Bye.

To hrishikesh I installed the Resco Software,works great but still can't send contact via Bluetooth.I did like you said but the contacts still want to be send via Infra red and there is NO option for bluetooth to be chosen.It still looking for a Infra red device,on the Orbit I know the settings is for beam and just select and it will be sent via Bluetooth. I even use the Radio on the software taht is great.Pitty that you have to be connected to the internet to use it. Thank for the info,great help you gave me. Regards Henning

I like the features mentioned . Now for HENING RAS who wants to send files or contacts from O2 via bluetooth, GET Resco File Explorer, have some free storage memory and you can send anything to the other device. to send a contact via bluetooth, tap and hold the particular contact, there is an option SEND , it further gives you two options BEAM or SMS, select beam, turn on the bluetooth and you can send the contact via BT.BYE.

hi 2 all,i think that the atom life will have a 520mhz processor, the same thing goes 2 the O2 XDA flame themspecs exept with a 2GB of ROM,...both of them rock.

Hi. If it is true about the processor,I would like to buy one in the UK.Will O2 be smart and release it in the UK for us? Does it have a sliding keyboard like the ZINK model.If it does,I'm willing to wait and not buying the ZINK.Currently I'm using the XDA EXEC and ORBIT thatis great to have. Will it be possible to connect this device to a Video projector for presentations like my other two toys? Why can't O2 make a device with a higher RAM like 128 or 256,or are they afraid to take the step for it? I bet when the first PDA phone comes out with a 256 RAM,the will just ask to brand their model woth O2 on it. Did any of you who have the XDA EXEC, send files or contacts via BLUETOOTH? whats the Price Tag for this Atom Life???..If O2 is reading this then let us know when will it launch in US, UK and Asia. O2 must come to the competition mark and upgrade to atleast 3MP for camera. Its upgraded the ROM but its living in oblivion withs its 65k color.(we need 256K)

o2 xda atom life has radio fm reviever, i had been while o2 was announcing xda atom life and xda flame. get the specifications of flame and add to to ure date base, which is a pretty awesome phone Gforce card onboard along with 640*480 screen

In one site there is no ifno about that, in oher there is 2 or 3 words... or even less..! I heard the model could be with a Windows Crossbow onboard! I want this will became true! Yes GPS receiver means GPS full functionality! You won't find a mobile gadget with a GPS transmitter!! D'oh! It would require a huge battery and a big antenna!!
