Be nice to get some useful updates on Android instead of these minor tweaks. Such as: - Capture scrolling screens - A built-in file manager - Ability to add a text comment on a screenshot immediately after taking the shot. Too often I take screenshots to illustrate some problem but then don’t remember why I took the screenshot. - Sync the mobile data (billing) start date and the Wi-Fi date. - Support private photo folders that could be separately password encrypted. - Temporary app disabling w/o having to uninstall the app and lose your settings for testing against problems. - Further you move from the phone when Bluetooth is active, you would head a periodic beep reminding you that the phone was not in your pocket. This would be a user controlled setting. - Ability to connect the Android photo folder to a Windows folder and sync automatically. - Remove that screen wasting Google search bar at the bottom of the phone in Pie. It serves no useful purpose. When you click on it, it goes away, a new screen is generated and the search bar is now at the top. Why not just put a small button to click for opening up the search window the same way and I can use the extra space for more home page icons? onlinehacker4hire at gmail dot com

Oppo for OS updates at first releases the higher OS versions to their sub-brand RealMe. RealMe is Oppo's online only brand for budget segment targeted to millennials who want newest and latest updates at the cost of slight OS optimization and stability issues. More specifically the mule for Oppo F7 is RealMe 1. The RealMe 1 was born from F7. The RealMe had already received ColorOS 6 with Android Pie a month back. Hence Oppo will first give a OS patch to the RealMe 1 first, for any minor issue if any and then give the final rock solid & stable release to F7. Expect within Oct, 2019.

Hi Everybody. I have a Oppo F7 and at the end of July my got an update from ColorOS v. 5.0 to ColorOS v. 5.2.1 and if I understand correct an update to ColorOS v. 6 and Android v. 9 is on it's way. This something GSMArena hasn't said anything about.

I take it as your answer is "No, there is nothing wrong with my Oppo F7 on Android Oreo!!" :D Nah, you can do whatever you want. I'm saying not getting updates doesn't make a difference and in no way does it make a phone bad unless the OS is so old that app developers no longer support it. Currently, Android 5.1.1 (lollipop) supports 95% of the apps and their features out there. But it's on the verge of getting outdated. If you've Android 7.1 (Nougat), you've nothing to worry or in your case, cry about, for at least a few more years. Still don't understand? What is the difference in using Facebook on Android 4.4.4 and Android 9? Or do you just stare at the panels in Settings? Get it now? Oreo is still much more stable than Android Pie if you didn't already know. It's widely believed it offers better battery life than Pie as well. 90% of the phones getting Pie are experiencing problems, as per my observation, so I don't understand your crazy obsession with seeing Pie written on your device's "About Section". Because that's the only real upgrade you'll be getting at the cost of risk of bugs.

Oppo F7 is great for Gaming if you charge your mobile once if you play pubg for 1 hour the battery percent will 100 to 89 and if you use it lite so it will last for two days and if you only use facebook and social it will last for 2 days my opinion is buy if you are gamer and want mobile which are performance wise camerz wise and and big battery so buy it

Oppo F7 is a great device if you buy it at the right price. It ticks all my ABCD requirements in a phone as below: A: Audio -> The inbuilt speaker is very loud and clear. Audio through through 3.5mm audio jack is satisfactory if not the best. B: Battery -> The 3400 mAh battery provides excellent battery life due to Mediatek P60 chipset, using a LTPS lcd display rather that regular lcd and excellent software optimization. C: Camera -> For a $220 phone the camera is one of its core strengths be it rear or selfie camera. D: Display -> Uses an expensive LTPS IPS LCD panel which saves battery and provide richer colors. The only cavet of F7 is it does not support Oppo's VOOC fast charging and the charger included is a regular 10 watt charger. I use a Qualcomm QC 2.0 charger of 18 watts (9V, 2A) and below is the charging times of F7 with the phone switched off and charger connected: 0 to 30% -> 1020 mAh -> 30 mins 0 to 50% -> 1700 mAh -> 50 mins 0 to 60% -> 2040 mAh -> 60 mins -> 1 hr 0 to 75% -> 2550 mAh -> 75 mins -> 1 hr 15 mins 0 to 80% -> 2720 mAh -> 80 mins -> 1 hr 20 mins 0 to 85% -> 2890 mAh -> 90 mins -> 1 hr 30 mins 0 to 90% -> 3060 mAh -> 98 mins -> 1 hr 38 mins 0 to 96% -> 3264 mAh -> 120 mins -> 2 hr 0 to 100% -> 3400 mAh -> 154 mins -> 2 hr 34 mins As you can see F7 charges 0 to 80% of the battery in 80 mins which is very fast. But 80 to 100% takes another long 74 mins. 80% charge on F7 is enough to take you a whole day of heavy usage.

now i'm using oppo F7 for a first time also first day i love the performance it very smooth play game with HD graphic . the speaker sound very real the bass the voice huh love it!!. The battery life quite amazing . I have play a heavy game such like AfterLife/ML/Ros/pubg and the performance never get down.The photograpy/selfie Very love it. it van capture the natural of color so deep. the bad think for this future phone it doesn't have fast charger. but that problem can be solve just buy a new fast charger... if you have problem playing game It not about the phone is about your network around you...

not compatible with mobile legend. i uninstalled my epic account because it has very unstable connection capability while playing. same internet while playing i got disconnected but my friend has no issue at all. very disappointed now why i chose this brand. vivo could have been better.

MediaTek Helios P60 is a king of a chipset, right there with Snapdragon 660 in terms of performance while being more energy efficient than S660 with its 12 nm manufacturing process. I own an Oppo F7, it is a excellent phone in general and performance will never be it's cause of concern. MediaTek is on the right path and upcoming Helios P90 will another Snapdragon 710 killer.

I've been using this phone for 8 months,and i don't regret buying this phone, it's amazing why? battery is decent, snappy, doesn't heat up too much, the display is superb, camera is also decent, online games like, Pubg, Ragnarok and offline games like Metal Gear PW in psp emu are playing smoothly. Forget about P20 Lite with the sub-standard Kirin 659 SoC. The Honor Play is a better phone than Oppo F7 if you do not take into account the front & rear camera performance. The F7 has better optics.

Oppo have been using Mediatek SoCs for long time. They know Mediatek SoCs very well & their ColorOS is very well optimized for them. Mediatek also gives preferential treatment for such loyal customers like Oppo,as their sub-brand RealMe will be the first one to get their hands on the new Helios P70 SoC.

I will opt for Oppo F7 simply because: 1) The Mediatek Helios P60 SoC inside Oppo F7 is more powerful than HiSilicion Kirin 950 found in Huawei Mate 8. P60 is built upon newer 12nm process which is much more power efficient than the older 16nm of Kirin 950. Hence P60 will not only be more powerful but also better in games & battery backup. 2) Oppo F7 comes with Android 8 where as Mate 8 have older Android 7. Both uses custom skins. 3) F7 uses the latest taller display trend where as Mate 8 have older 16:9 display both being 1080p panels. Hope this helps.

Any smartphone vendor who mainly focuses on offline sales channel provide commission to the entire sales channel. Their is no fraudulent activity in this, this is simply business. Vivo, Samasung also do the same. The question is you should have thought ten times before investing your hard earned INR 26K on Oppo F7 (6GB RAM version). The F7 or even the current F9 is not worth that much money, so I waited and when a golden deal struck online I pounced and grabbed the F7 at just INR 15K. In the end if you want value-for-money devices go for online only models from Oppo's Realme division. The Realme 2 Pro with SD660 @ INR 14K is currently the best phone under 20K price bracket in India.

That is a big question. If remember Oppo did update their F3Plus from Android Marshmallow (6.0) to Nougat (7.0) in India. Will they do the same for F7 is open for discussion. However F7 phone came with the latest android (Oreo 8.1) available during its release. Which is a good plus point towards the F7. Their latest F9 Pro is a newer model and still ships with the same Oreo 8.1. I purchased this phone under offers for around $200 bucks, and my wife is super happy with it in the solar red variant. I cannot complain what i got for the price. I had great options like Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 for the same price, but the M1 is more for men with its industrial looks. The F7, I believe is more for inclined towards women with great display, great selfie camera performance, many beauty modes options, good rear camera performance, eye catchy design & flashy colors (Solar red). But the good thing about F7 is it does all of this without sacrificing performance and speed, thanks to the powerful Helios P60 SoC and 4 gigs of RAM.

After some web search I found it will be a bad choice to invest on any of them considering the current offer price of Oppo F7 for as cheap as INR 15K online. Let me elaborate Huawei Nova 3i (Price: INR 21K) -------------------------------------------- Pros: 1) Beautiful dual glass sandwich body with metal frame. 2) Big 6.3 inch (19.5:9) inch Full HD screen 3) Latest HiSilicon Kirin 710 chipset build upon efficient 12 nm architecture 4) Support for Dual 4G VoLTE on both SIMs simultaneously. 5) 128 GB internal memory whereas F9 Pro & F7 makes do with 64 GB. Verdict ---------- Ultimately I shunned the Huawei Nova 3i just because of glass build and no Corning Gorilla glass display protection. Personally I will always try to avoid this current trend of fragile all glass bodied phones. They look stunningly beautiful to behold, but once you drop it it's a piece of shattered glass. I prefer the durable route of all metal designs or even beautifully executed high quality plastic body as found on F7. I can ascertain Oppo is able to reach a level with their all plastic bodied F7 that from a distance is impossible to distinguish it to be a glass build or plastic one. And the phone feels premium & very sturdy to hold. When I compared between the Oppo F7 and its slight modified newer variant F9 Pro, I find Oppo is trying to cash in on the huge demand of F7 with a newer model at a higher price. Currently only Oppo & its sub-brand RealMe have access to this awesome Helios P60 chipset. This SoC performance nearly rivalry that of Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 which generally comes in phones costing over INR 26K. To get that level of performance in F7 at INR 15K is just plain crazy. I opted to go with the 4GB RAM variant of F7 due to: a) 4GB RAM variant is more cost effective than 6 GB variant. b) F7 comes with triple card slot, so I can expand 64 GB internal memory with a microSD card while using both the SIMs. c) Contrary to belief 4GB variant of F7 posts better scores in every benchmark than its 6GB variant. The ColorOS used in the phone along with the P60 chipset seems to be more optimized for 4 GB RAM. Oppo F9 Pro currently retails at INR 24K and there is INR 9K difference in price compared to F7 (with offers) which is plain unjustifiable. F9 Pro have 2 gigs more RAM at 6GB but amazingly F7, 4 GB variant provides better benchmark scores. With the F9 Pro most notable addition is VOCC fast charging which F7 lacked. Saying that F7 is no slough either as I found when using a QC 2.0 certified charger of 9V/2A, 18 watts with F7, it charges from 0 to 80% at 80 mins flat. 80% charge on F7 equates to 2720 mAh of it 3400 mAh battery and is enough to take you a whole day with moderate to heavy usage. This is possible due to the incredibly efficient Helios P60 chipset found in F7. The main rear camera module is the same bright 16 MP, f/1.8 module which captures decent shots while the second 2MP depth sensor used in F9 Pro is for marketing reasons to make it a dual camera. Selfie camera is identical in both with a 25 MP shooter. All in all I must admit I was pleasantly surprised with the F7, the raw performance it offered, the overall quality of the build you get at INR 15K and the refined ColorOS with Android 8. As such F7 gets a seal of approval from my side and I feel at the offer price on INR 15K I bought, it is simply unbeatable and even eclipses champs like Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 & Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro in this price segment.

I am finding a lot of misconceptions floating here about Oppo F7. First let me assure everyone by stating the Oppo F7 is an excellent device. But is it's a value for money device from Oppo? Almost!!! And this is not a trait that was previously followed by Oppo or Vivo as they always gun for offline markets with high margins. But recently Oppo became very aggressive on pricing, and even launching sub-brand like RealMe to compete with Xiaomi Mi series in India. I have been fortunate to use quite a few smartphones in the past which mainly included flagships from Vivo, Lenovo & Huawei. This includes phones like X5Max, X5Pro, XShot, V3Max & V5Plus from Vivo's stable. I have also made some round trips using Lenovo Vibe X3 and my current phone is a Huawei Honor View 10. Which brings us to the question as of why I am talking about Oppo F7? Well I have recently gifted my wife a F7; the solar red variant and it looks just gorgeous on her hands. I also did a lot of research before buying the F7 and know the in and out of it. I also used it extensively. Previously my wife used to have a Vivo V3Max but while it was an excellent device with Snapdragon 650 onboard, we were currently facing one major issue with this phone. Currently all phones in India supports 4G VoLTE only in SIM1 slot, but the other SIM always runs on 3G or 2G. With Airtel also launching their own VoLTE service along with Reliance JIO, both of us were in desperate need for smartphones which supports dual 4G VoLTE on both the SIMs simultaneously. However such a function cannot be enabled on existing phones via an OTA update, you will need hardware support for that, more precisely from the SoC in the phone. As of now only a few SoCs have such support, and one of them is the MediaTek Helios P60 found inside F7. Speaking of Helios P60, it's a great SoC one that punches much above its weight and makes Qualcomm to sit up and take notice. Somebody rejecting the F7 just because it uses a MediaTek chipset will be making a huge mistake. Past MediaTek performance X-series used to be power hungry hogs draining the battery fast and producing a lot of heat. On the other hand their P-series SoC used to be efficient but was capped with outright performance. For example my Vivo V5Plus initially shipped with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), was upgraded to Android 7.0 (Nougat) midlife and will now receive Android 8.0 (Oreo) around November. In the same way I believe at least there should be one android version upgrade with F7.

I could only use and play on it seven hours a day (includes texting, calls, social media applications and YouTube) via Wi-Fi or Mobile Data then I need to charge it again. Will it be okay if I use a power bank on it? Is there a lag on the networks when connected with the power bank? Just received my F&. Well what can I say! Oppo knows how to design phones. I love the plastic back panel and the way they made it. No more breakable glass back panels, or heavy metals at the back. The plastic assures you with a phone which is unbreakable and extremely light. Coupled with Gorilla Glass 5 on the display, I think this is one of the best mid rangers ever. The speed, is awesome too. I just have a few appointments, 1) The lack of notification light, I hate not knowing when my phone is fully charged. 2) lack of android battery management features, and also the lack of USB C, I am not so worried with slow charging for a phone which requires to be charged once a day. It is not clear if OPPO will updte this phone and for how long. Do you remember project treble?

Fyi, oppo f7 doesn't have notification LED. Delay at start up (like 20 seconds - 40 seconds) for apps and function such as mobile data n hotspot. My old LG4 is way better than that phone. Sold to a friend after two weeks.

I think this phone is, well, about average. The battery life has started to become a bit worst after using it for more than 3 months. The phone also became slower recently and I think I'm facing these issues because I got the first batch of the Oppo F7. The camera has also started to become a bit blurry, although no matter how much of effort Oppo claims it to be a photography smartphone. It is not really because consumers overestimate this phone, but it's because Oppo themselves have overrated this device. I don't really think it's a bad phone, but to anyone out there, never get the first batch of any product. Phones are one of the most expensive technology products that you can purchase with your money, never make a wrong move ever.

You don't trash Oppo F7 if you don't own it. I got my oppo F7 for only a dollar from my telco company. I was an existing iphone user. I thought of giving the Oppo a try. My Oppo has never lagged even for a single time and it has no issues with gaming as I play PUBG at high graphics, Rules Of Survival and so on with no issues. Surprisingly, it does not even heat up much as I used to face heating issue with iphone. My iphone is still in the drawer of my desk lying as I don't miss it at all. This Oppo F7 is insanely fast and launches app better than many phones when I compared with my friends' samsung s9, one plus and even iphone. I regret paying so much for iphone now after using this Oppo F7. Don't just trash something if you don't know about it exactly.

A decent and value for money phone. Takes good pictures, not the best but good enough for daily picture snapping. Battery surprises the most as it lasted a day for a heavy user like who is constantly on the phone like playing games, social media, online etc. My old Zenfone 3 Max with 4000mah battery only lasted about half day with me.

To correct your information Helio p60 may come close to the CPU power of SD660 but in GPU adreno 512 destroys Mali g71 so in terms of graphics the SD 660 is on another level and it will run heavy graphics games much smoother than helio p60 but oppo F7 is a great smartphone nonetheless

Quality control seems to be bad, from reading other people's comments. My F7 the past 2 weeks have been great, no major issues, though I have some minor gripes with it. Dismissing notifications is a hassle, camera doesn't have slow-mo (and other comments that the review says re: camera), audio is not that good (relative to my Vivo V3 before). Overall still worth it, though I wish I have waited for the Nokia 5.1+ and Huawei Nova 3i instead, or at least the F7's price drop.

Oppo F 7 is most economical phone packed with bundle of hightech. Its front camera is extraordinary, its speed is enormous, its operating system is simple and elite. don't confuse yourself with widgets its not a pc. simpler is better. no heating problem at all (even with games), battery timing is a +plus point which this phone has. face recognition is a very accurate and finger print recognition is fastest. Durability wise it has gorilla glass 5 in the front and thats very durable but at the back its some semi plastic material that really feels like glass. So you may wanna use a back cover and btw u get one free in the box. And audio quality from the headphone jack is really good and you get a very good equalizer app in built with different modes and for your custom listening experiences so you won't be disappointed :)

No, I just haved facebook for linking my app accounts, I brought it to the shop. They took my phone and run some tests, asked my receipt and for a factory reset that I agreed, they said it has no defect and won't be eligible for replacement. I installed the mc5 again just now it still heats up and consumes more battery. They also asked if I use data or wifi, I use wifi, then they suggest try lte. First do a hard reset and and Install the game and play it. Don't install Facebook or messenger after the reset. If the problem is solved its most probably because of Facebook or messenger app because it always runs on the background and takes up a high amount of ram. Most people have had issues with the Facebook and messenger app for draining alot of battery and heating. Try this and if it doesn't solve the problem take it to a oppo service center

When i contacted oppo through their official site and asked about project treble support and if the oppo f7 will get Android P in the future they replied saying that it doesn't support project treble and said there is no current information about android "oreo". What the hell is oppo talking about . Deeply regret having bought this phone. There are software restrictions in this phone. You cannot change the default SMS app. You cannot set the SD card as default storage. Usually android phone will be a bit glitchy when used while charged (Especialy the screen tap). Try to unplug and plug your charger untill its fixed up. This problem occurs to me on my S8 and F7 phone. Its a Common problem.

Along with the phone came some gifts including an "ilike" brand power-bank which i used once to charge (after 6 days of mobile use) the mobile until it reached 60% but within an hour of little use the charge dropped to 16% and then I charged it with the original charger was empty. Here's my review 1.design 7/10 glossy plastic design looks good but it prone to smudges. 2.display 8/10 bright enough and definitely better than my previous phone Xiaomi redmi note 3 3.Gaming 8/10 I haven't try heavy games except GTA SA, and the games work almost flawlessly in heaviest graphics settings with some glitches, no wonder games is old and haven't updated 4.camera 7.5/10 both front and rear cam okay in bright day light but suffer in low lights condition 5.UI 8/10 fast, not as lightning fast, it just little bit faster than MIUI. 6.speaker 7.5/10 Not many bloatware and most can be uninstalled, there's FM Radio but No NFC. I'm quite happy with this Oppo F7 and haven't face any issue since brought it, call quality is also good, out of 4gb ram it's about 2gb available, and around 48gb available out of 64gb of rom. Using oppo f7 for more than a week now and I'm really impressed with it's performance. I hate taking selfies and it's ironic that I got a selfie centric phone. However, on "this price point", I'm really impressed with it's performance, battery and no heating issues when gaming over extended period of time (2 hours continuous max). Apps are snappy, especially the finger print unlock and face detect unlock, I like how I can also lock my apps to for added security such as e-mail. I got the sexy black diamond 6GB/128GB where I was originally looking to purchase the 4GB/64GB, unfortunately my local store ran out of stock with this color (but no ragrets!) This is coming from a Samsung s4 user that I've been using for 5 years. I've been hearing that Oppo's Media tek platform update services/support sucks, which I'm concerned about. I've seen past Oppo phones like f5 get at least one update (7 to 8) which is fine as long as I get one update. I've survived with my stock Samsung s4 in Lollipop for 4 years, I think I'll survive until I get another phone.

All the phones you mentioned except Black Shark take design inspiration from Apple devices. For eg. Redmi 4X/4A/5A/Note 5A/Mi 6 look like Apple iPhone 6 without home button. This phone is in my choice lists. But when i saw that there is an Asus ZenFone 5 lite stock i already decided to pick the Asus phone. Why? Because it has QUAD CAMERA setup 2 on front, 2 on back. It can also record on 4k resolution with electronic image stabilization. The build is better 'cause it has 2.5d glass on front and back, a metal frame but doesnt have gorilla glass. I know helio p60 is better than snapdragon 630 but this chipset can also play at high graphic settings. It can lasts a day or 2 with average use. So far there is no issues on this phone and all i can say is Asus is back to the competition.

if one saying sd430 is better than p60, its not even close. i have xiomi redmi 5 prime, sd435, as my secondary phone, its 4x1.4ghz a53+4x1.1ghz a53, pretty far from 4x2.0ghz a73+4x2.0ghz a53. not saying sd435 is bad, its pretty ok for daily operation, but not as fast as p60. if cpu vs cpu, i owned multiple devices with diff architecture, x86_32, x86_64{intel}, arm 32 bits, arm 64(mediatek,kirin,snapdragon), i must say, intel x86_64 is pretty powerful, even for quadcores. the bad things about intel soc, is power eater, and lack of x86 native apps development. for mediatek, p60 is the 1st that give me good impression on overall performance, heat n battery performance. the only thing i concern is software development of oppo. already get 1st update of firmware. hopefully it will be continuous.

A very good phone. Previously I was using Samsung A7 2017. Which had a super AMALOID display produces deepest blacks in the dark. Loved to watch Netflix movies before going to sleep. Oppo F7 display is very good but likewise all LCDs blacks appear dark grey in the dark. No issues during light rooms and day time. Colours are less punchy than AMALOID displays. Headphone sound quality is good but not as good as of A7. But problem can be solved by installing third party audio equaliser. Speed is excellent. Literally no delays. Twice faster than A7. Gorilla glass 5 is the main feature because of which I have purchased this device. Recently my wife broke her Huawei mobile. Protected glass screen is a must. Battery timings are excellent. Can be used for two days in one charge. About software experience. I must say well-done to Oppo. Twice better than Samsung A7 which has same software of S7 and Note 7. Oppo F7 is fully packed with all necessary features especially security and privacy. Features which are not to be found on iPhone 7/8, I guess. Camera has built-in Expert Mode to select shutter speed up to 1/8000. Latest DSLR support 1/4000. Blur is artificial but serves the purpose if picture is taken professionally. Reception quality is good. Speaker volume is also good. In the end I must say it is the best phone in this price bracket. Larger screen yet handy.

already bought f7 for my wife, use it for a day, yeah, the cpu did actually sustain longer peak clock@ 2ghz all 8 cores when opening apps n use the apps such as browser, fb n etc,compare to my mate 10. i dont see it as cheating though(maybe im wrong) cuz it works differently compare to my mate 10 biglittle configuration(mediatek use neuropilot). using devcheck n floating cpu, it doest read it as 4+4,but rather trully 8 cores. compare to mate 10 where 4+4 cores react diff, whereby if load is less, only 4 little cores being ramp to max, but 4 big cores residing at 682mhz. meanwhile, for p60, all 8 cores super active, regardless the load. day to day operation(not games), it performs the same as mate 10 kirin 970. and for games, it has auto detection to boost games performance(game mode in setting) where u can turn it off for battery saving. i must say, im impress, cuz tried out vivo v9, f7, redmi note 5(sd636) n nokia 7 plus. nokia 7 plus isnt my selection cuz the price is close to honor view 10,where its better for me to get view 10 rather than nokia 7 plus. battery, seems redmi note 5 is better cuz bigger battery, but front camera is not really impressive. since buying it for my wife, i choose f7. perfectly balance. v9 is the same price as f7, but hardware is lesser than f7. dont feels any uncomfortable heat using it, nearly the same as my mate 10. bought 4gb version, cuz 6gb version, the price is the same as nokia 7 plus which as i said earlier, view 10 is a better option at the price range. since oppo has revise it pricing strategy in my country(its cheaper than expected), i must say that i impress. the only thing i dislike is color os, not many customisation,unlike emui n miui,but not as close as barebone in nokia 7 plus being stock android which i like it even not many customisation. dont really ios like-inspired ui.

It will not! P60 is Exynos 7885 (mid-range, newer than 8890) competitor... It costs about 15dollars. In order to save money, Mediatek makes some choice...mostly, reduce GPU size (doesn't really mind except in benchmarks and in a tiny couple of games), reduce Lte category, limit bluetooth to 4.2, use 12nm instead of 10nm... But, they keep other things : big cores (with Lower clock), CPU on P60 is close to Exynos 8890, ISP for cameras and fast UFS 2.1 storage And they even add AI, they choose to bet on this feature...that's the only think on P60 that is better than 8890. Mediatek must keep low Price (X30 attempt was a commercial fail, despite many great things), due too their image and some patent troll... Nevertheless, in real use, you probably won't see any difference between P60 and Exynos 8890. Both will be nearly as fast

Performances wise, Kirin 659 on P20 Lite can't compare to Helio P60. Kirin 659 uses Cortex A53, Helio uses A73... Difference is huge! Cortex A73 is what you can find on Huawei P20 Pro...(2.0ghz on Oppo, 2.4ghz on Huawei P20 Pro) CPU on Oppo is about 60% better than the one on P20 lite! On GPU, difference is even higher Kirin 659 use MaliT830mp2, P60 use MaliG72mp3... G72 is 2 generations newer, 830 was a tiny GPU core (compare to 880 from same generation) and P60 uses one more core...in my opinion, oppo's GPU is about 2.5 time better. Oppo use UFS2.1 storage like P20 Pro compare to slower eMMc on P20 Lite, faster lpddr4x RAM too

If we get F7 6GB/64GB in the price we are getting f7 4gb/64gb then it makes sense. It too much over priced. People switched to Samsung from Iphone because they get the same specs in half the price but then Samsung also got pricey. Then people switched from Samsung to Oppo or some other companies to get the same features in less price, but they again are getting their prices much higher than what they are giving.

I find it worth for the Oppo but it seems some freindly features on previous Oppo series are missing or i just can't find them.. like: exporting contacs to SD Card and the settings on the camera for options like save to sd card or use volume key to zoom in. i find it hard to find the home button when playing a vdeo at full screen.. CAMERA is very good so i keep vivid of to stay real..i find the face detection and finger print feature as very inivative, can use index finger for easy unlock. Top performance on gaming (this new mediatek rocks). I play rule of survival, free fire, nba, nfs no limit, shadow fight 3, and other heavy games. All with ultra/high graphic setting, play smooth on this phone, no Lag, no hang, no slow performance, or what so ever.. It has 64gb internal storage, it's so big. I install Rules of survival=1gb, NFS NoLimit=2gb, and other big size game, it's still have 40gb free. wow. Camera is great, really, I don't have to say anymore about this. If you want to test : - cortex A53 that underperform by about 15-20%, try Snapdragon 410 or 412 - octocores that work like quadcore, try 615 or 616...compare it to 6752, you will how 615 is bad!!! - Big cores that aren't able to run 2 minutes, try 810 Mediatek never release that kind of things! What you read is often things from peole that never use them! Some people even say S626 with cortex A53 can beat P60 with cortex A73...that's just...stupid. Have a technical analysis and do your own test instead of judging by name! And read carefully the test of Oppo R15 by gsmarena. It exists in both P60 and s660 version!!!

i test my Oppo F7 for a week now but i dont see any heating issues i think the P60 never overheats i have a Helio X20 phone and its hot as a flat iron if i use it for 4-5hours but this P60 just a little bit heat i check the temperature of P60 but its only 37.5 degrees its pretty hot compare to my snapdragon 625 phone with a temperature of 34.7 degrees

The most known heating problem is about Helio X20 Test it for real! It is able to run all cores during more than 10 minutes with only 6% performances drop. No core switched off. Big cores simply start moving between 1.8 and 2.1ghz Not only 810 switch off all his big cores in about 2 minutes...it is known for that. But 652 do the same in 4 or 5 minutes! Nobody talked about it! I'm not saying X20 doesn't heat at all, but people said CPU is involved, in fact it's GPU...it can lost about 30%...but some devices with S805 can lost 50%! Nobody talked about it!

You should read Gsmarena's review about Oppo R15 (both versions, P60 and S660), both are close!!! About CPU, Mediatek use Cortex A73+A53, that's the same configuration than kirin 960 or 970. And Kryo 260 and 280 have nearly exactly the same performances (at same frequency) About GPU, gsmarena writes : "But as far as real-life gaming is concerned - we ran a few fan-favorite games side by side on both phones - and we found no difference in performance. So, no matter what the GPU numbers suggest, in real-world scenarios - both are excellent performers"

It may not have fast charge, usb C type too, but this is better, I will explain why: Fast charging means more energy flowing through the phone/battery, which will lead to overheating. This is what is`s been happening with loads of top spec devices. Also, USB C-TYPE is crap, I know for a fact that they break very easily, the port pins are mounted on a very fragile USB-platform. and if u have your phone on charge and u grab it a bit harsh, the chances that u bent/break the USB port are very high.

The phone camera just stopped working and restarts everytime u click on camera icon... Den the gallery just wasn't opening.. Later even u tube started to hang and after that the keyboard cudnt type.... So many issues... Had to go to the centre of oppo and asked dem to replace.... Not sure if the replaced phone will also give the same or some other issue

Didn’t know Helio P60 is such a beast with 4 A73 cores. Definitely a SoC to consider, because those are usually cheaper than their Qualcomm counterparts, and the P series should be the lower end ranhe

You're crazy to prefer S625 to Helio P60. CPU and GPU are twice better!!! Even compare to 820, P60 has many better things. Better CPU on single-core performances, far better on multicore, better UFS support, better isp, far far better AI support (close to Apple A11!), 12nm process...820 has only 2 better things : GPU and lte category, that's all It's funny to read how Mediatek is under-rated!

Any technical analysis? No? Here is mine : Helio P60 use 4 Cortex A73 and 4 A53 clocked at 2.0GHz Snapdragon 636 use Kryo 260 clocked at 1.8GHz...Kryo 260 (and 280) are a rebranded version of A73 and A53, nothing more...it behave the same according to frequency. In addition, P60 use a better process (12nm), have AI support close to Apple A11 (280GMac/s vs 300!), better ISP... GPU should be a little better on P60 on most tasks. Even far better on modern tasks like Tesselation. What is worst on P60 : bluetooth, is limited to 4.2, lte is limited to cat. 7. Try one instead of reading the name. No craps like 410, 412, 615, 616, 808 or 810 that underperform.
