Oppo RX17 Pro - User Reviews

  • I still didn't get pie

  • how did you updated it to 6????? since i am not getting update up to now

  • please guide when this will get android pie update

  • Living in middle East didn't receive pie update ????

  • Now released pie

  • Can anyone here tell me whether this phone is getting the Android Pie 9 OS update?

  • in india oppo not given 3d camera.. most waste fone ever.. i spend this idot model around 46k

  • your right

  • I just update to os6 pie it so nice and fast and gaming experience is better

  • it has nfc.

  • Can anyone help me please. I just bought R17 Pro and cannot set up the dual sim call waiting to receive 2nd call from 2nd sim whilst on call on 1st sim, has anyone figured this out, cannot find where to set it up. Thanks.

  • Oppo France specifies that the Oppo RX17 Pro does not finally propose the possibility of extending the storage by microSD.

  • Well said (^^)

  • It's not debatable, it's an objective fact that not only is super vooc the fastest charging and the best quick charge 4.0 doesn't even come close That technology increases voltage and heat and powers off while the phone is in use because it can overheat and cause issues Supervooc increases amps makes the adapter do the work plus splits one batter into two lanes to increase efficiency and minimize strain on the battery literally no other charging tech compares

  • These points are only based on specs and not user experience, Samsung has been caught slowing down flagships on purpose So don't be surprised is the r17 pro stays faster As for still photos the destroys the s8 and s9 especially in low light photography Lastly it should never have a 5000mah battery due to the technology of super vooc Lastly supervooc is a much better investment that the performance of a chipset, chipset power is almost completely wasted by 90% of people just to go on twitter but have the fastest charging speed in the industry is something you will take advantage of every day

  • awesome picture quality, better than apple and samsung up to 20MP....COOLEST phone ever come across...

  • oppo has its only r&d facility outside china in INDIA!!!

  • Less R&D that's why it is cheaper. Tell me if they higher R&D why don't they price as iPhone Xs Max or Samsung Fold?

  • good phone

  • yes it does have NFC

  • I think this review must be change because on real fact this phone can not used a micro sd card at sim 2 slot. If you want to use an external memory you must buy a new model of memory card that they call as nano memory card. A new model of memory card it's not populer on market and the price is expensive

  • Having an s9+ would say that it's awesome buy shame battery life.so if you need a phone for quite hard users, live any comparisons. I will sell it as very asap. A phone today must have a long lasting battery life

  • No NFC and QI charge? No thanks.

  • Not 2K, not waterproof, no stereo speaker but look at the price is too too much!

  • Oppo is chinese brand. Oppa is korean word. Don't be mistaken lol

  • Have launched in indonesia,

  • In Australia, they are 6gb variant in same price. Cheater.

  • Nuff Said... "Oppo Electronics Corporation, commonly referred to as Oppo, is a Chinese consumer electronics and mobile communication company, known for its smartphones, Blu-ray players and other electronic devices. Parent organization: BBK Electronics Headquarters: Dongguan, China Founder: Tony Chen Founded: 2004, Dongguan, China Subsidiary: OnePlus"

  • OPPO is not chinnese brand but Korea one..ur right..for SD710 this price to high..oppo is not apple...who d u think u r...many people u cheated for that price...crap..

  • Only R17 Pro has microsd card slot

  • There's no SD card slot in my RX17 Pro (two SIM slots only). Apparently it is either a mistake in gsm arena specs or there are some version which may have it.

  • Wrong R17 Pro has USB Type C

  • Time of Flight Camera

  • Nope

  • It also has no 3.5mm jack adapter like iPhone XS

  • Yes but Hybrid SIM Slot

  • this mobile is good but Front camera result is not good compare vivo v11 pro front camera is very high and powerful ..oppo r17 pro camera and f feature is boring this mobile is worst no buy this mobile ,

  • How do E-sim work with Oppo RX17 Pro? so if you will have 2 nano sim, the e-sim will be the 3rd network?? this phone can have 3 telco networks? is that correct?

  • Actually, this phone is not a Flagship, it's just a mid-range phone same specs with Y9 2018 of huawei

  • I just unwrapped my R17 Pro bought in Singapore. I can now confirm that while there is a dual sim slot, there is no microsd slot. I was trying to bring over my 256GB SD card from Huawei mate 10 into this phone.

  • Please keep in your mind that do not buy chinees mobiles always buy branded mobile like Samsung, Sony, HTC, Motorola etc.

  • Then samsung s9+ has how much battery?

  • I may try it outside. ;)XD

  • Please can someone help me ..i have bought oppo r11 plus in these online shopping sites but it came by the name oppo r11plusk as model of phone so is it fake or because it operates well the probem is the model!

  • I buy one today let see how it's quality

  • I buy one today let see how it's quality

  • Very Expensive no thanks

  • Memory card supported??

  • Oppo has launch its new flagship RX17 Pro, it is very very expensive mobile and has old version of chipset i.e Qualcomm SDM710 Snapdragon 710 (10mm) whereas Samsung mobile S9+ (i am sorry i am compairing with it really sorry) but i just want to show you that S9+ was launched in 2018, February and it has latest "Exynos 9810 Octa (10 nm) - EMEA Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 (10 nm)" and RX 17 Pro launched 2018, August. It has no waterproof no dust proof, no splash proof resistance. Screen size is very big 6.4 inches with 1080 x 2340 pixels and bettery is only 3700 mah it shold be atleast 5000 mah? No dedicated Card slot its mean you can not move apps and games to memory card whchi you can use in 2nd SIM. It has Octa-core (2x2.2 GHz Kryo 360 Gold & 6x1.7 GHz Kryo 360 Silver) wehereas, S9+ has Octa-core (4x2.7 GHz Mongoose M3 & 4x1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) - EMEA Octa-core (4x2.8 GHz Kryo 385 Gold & 4x1.7 GHz Kryo 385 Silver) So its wrost investment of mony, don't try this at home.......... Take care by by.

  • Excellent camera better than one plus 6 t

  • no i'm just kidding infact that benchmark stats couldn't be true and if you check gsmarena test you will see Basemark X should be 28537 not 43562 for Oppo RX17 Pro with SOC 710 Gsmarena team should solve that wrong stats

  • It's not the same OP6t Basemark OS II: 4941 / Basemark OS II 2.0: 4452

  • to much costly in india with snapdragon 710

  • Gee, wonder why the OnePlus 6T & the RX17 Pro look alike LOL.

  • Why benchmark is same as 845 soc? Basemark OS II: 4212 / Basemark OS II 2.0: 4106 Basemark X: 43562 seems to be more powerfull than mate 20 pro↓ Basemark OS II: 4136 / Basemark OS II 2.0: 3939 Basemark X: 40269 the most powerful Snapdragon 710☻

  • Just released in India at around Rs 45k.

  • Si

  • Go with Oppo R17 pro . That's gona be the next big thing & one plus killer Do not underestimate S. D 710 ... I have Mi8 S. E with S. D 710 & its, superfast like a Rocket

  • This is the perfect Phone ✆ But i wish there could be atleast Snapdragon 845 considering its high price tag, So we could say its really a One plus 6T killer ... Its main selling price is its Super Vooc charging technology (0 to 100%) in just 30/35 minutes is just a fabulous thing

  • SD710 is latest than 845 .

  • Oppo R17 pro, if it has SD card slot. Just let Oppo R17 pro launch, see the review first then buy. But even i would go for Oppo R17 pro. Other options to wait for are Nokia 9 pureview, Nokia X7 or 7.1 plus or 8. 1, Huawei Mate 20 pro

  • it is down to personal choice, of course Oneplus 6T is the better out there, more balanced. 128GB on Oneplus 6T is already very huge, you might not need the card slot. The main point here is the SD845, obviously more powerful than SD710. Of course,Oneplus 6T camera inferior to R17 Pro, and charging time is much slower than R17 Pro.

  • Get your fact right. OPPO R17 Pro claim to have better camera than Oneplus 6T. Of course, the Super VOOC that charge the phone full in just half hour. Now it really depend on balance phone or want a Super VOOC phone. Oneplus 6T is the well balanced out there, even better with super fast oxygen OS, despite little inferior in camera, and also slower Dash Charge A.K.A normal VOOC. One would pick Oneplus 6T as the most balance phone around the same price that feature SD845.

  • Obviously Oneplus 6t. Because of better camera, processor, brand value, flagship phone, better software support, countless custom roms, better battery timing and what else. R17 pro only has better charging time, but does it really matter since oneplus is also using oppo's vooc charging minus super

  • Hllo guys... I'm from india n I have oppo f9 pro... N i want to buy oppo r17 pro or oneplus 6t... But i have a bit confusion on it... In india oppo r17 pro is launching above 40k price which is similar to oneplus 6t... So... Which one is better... Most of the people says that oneplus 6t is better... But 6t only has a flagship processor and cat 16 but doesn't have a card slot... Doesn't have a audio jack... Doesn't have a triple camera setup... doesn't have 3.0 charging... Oppo r17 pro has snapdragon 710... It is behind than snapdragon 845 but not far behind than 845... R17 pro has cat 15 and 6t has cat 16... That's two major points which 6t becomes better than r17 pro... But what about triple camera setup... What about card slot... What about audio jack... what about selfie camera 25 mp on r17 pro and 16 mp on 6t... what about 3.0 charging support... These points becomes r17 pro is better than 6t... Others specs are similar... Like r17 pro has super vooc and 6t has dash charging... Batteries are similar... Both has a gorilla glass 6... Both has amoled display... Both have similar dimensions... And both has same look... Now come to the main point... I'm very confused... Which phone is better choice... Plz tell me guyzz...

  • There is also praise on superior camera night shot capability. I think for those who not satisfied, you can go for OPPO Find X.

  • What is the prize ? launched day I mean first day

  • 35 minutes.

  • At my region, this phone sold almost the same price of Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Huawei Mate 20, Vivo Nex S, and Oneplus 6T. Besides the Super VOOC that charge the phone full at around 35 minutes, does it worth the price it asked?

  • With this price, I would rather buy a P20 PRO or Mate 20 or Mi8 Explorer. -,-

  • 599 euro in Europe / 680 euro in South East Asia. That's disgusting!

  • Oppo R17 pro does have a always on display feature ? Please tell me.

  • Insane price tag with S. D 710 ??? So they want to cash vooc technology?

  • R17pro removed and change to rx17pro.. What was the issue for r17pro..why disappear from this site..? Recently Australia just release r17pro.. Wondering 😂... R17pro has external card and rx17pro don't? I had seen in store r17pro.. Only 6gb Ram.. Rx 8gb. Is only different oppo been remove from?

  • Have been using oppo for 5 years and switched to Huawei, never going back P20 Pro is the best phone

  • This notch is still better than the iPhone and the Pixel 3 XL. I will keep on saying that until these two companies think of a way to reduce the notch size. Even though the chipset isn't the greatest, but it is a bit better than the SD 600s. So, props to Oppo for this new phone

  • Eh, debatable. OnePlus has dash charging and Razer has the Qualcomm quick charge 4.0. I'll give the fast charging to them.

  • looks very pretty devices may you will be my baby tonight

  • Dude SUPER VOOC means nothing if processor is cr4p.

  • Dude Super VOOC worth more. It's world's fastest charging system so far.

  • 599 EUR

  • Does it have Always on display?

  • $770 for SD710?

  • This is an insane price of a high end midranger Im highly disappointed with price but still this a great looking device

  • *Snapdragon 710. But yeah you're right

  • Especially because you know this could've had more space with just half a mm more of thickness, width, and possibly height

  • For your added knowledge, Oppo R17 has a 3.5mm jack while losing microsd support & Oppo R17 Pro has microsd support while losing 3.5mm jack in the official specs on Oppo website. It is just as good as something must be "sacrificed" first before "gaining" something in return which is BS IMHO for smartphones.

  • Ah, my mistake. For some reason, I kinda got the regular R17 and the Pro specs mixed up

  • Nope. It not there if you check the official specs on Oppo website.

  • Oh dear, Oppo is getting RE****ED lately. Oppo R17 has a 3.5mm jack while losing microsd support & Oppo R17 Pro has microsd support while losing 3.5mm jack. It is just as good at "sacrificing" something while "gaining" something in return which is BS at these price range. For my country, Oppo R17 has no in-display FPS while some other countries' model has it. And the salesmen here in my country is pushing people to buy Oppo R17 & R17 Pro. If you don't read the official specs of the above 2 models, you will regret it after you are "tricked" into buying unless you don't care. The previous models Oppo R15 & R15 Pro were much better because 3.5mm jack & microsd support are there as STANDARD despite having a FUGLY NOTCH. So for those who have already purchased Oppo R17 or Oppo R17 Pro, I advise you to sell it immediately. Get another phone at a lower / same price-point that has 3.5mm jack and microsd support as STANDARD. Or you can keep it if you don't care about headphone jack / microsd card.

  • This is actually op6t with SD 645 chipset

  • This is the op 6t

  • i will definitely grab this phone if it’s hit he market first before mi mix 3 or OP 6T

  • No ..no it cannot

  • I prefer the new Galaxy A9 (2018)

  • can a Samsung do that?

  • It's not as significant as you would expect, though I see what you mean

  • The SD835 is significantly faster in multi-core performance than the SD710... SD710 (Xiaomi Mi 8 SE): Geekbench - Single Core: 1897, Multi Core: 5912 Antutu: 169044 SD835 (Xiaomi Mi Mix 2): Geekbench - Single Core: 1919, Multi Core: 6593 Antutu: 181570

  • oh im sorry...can you charge your phone to 100% in like 25-30 mins for its price

  • Actually the 710 is quite on par with the 835. It also has better AI capabilities

  • Look past the chooser real quick for me

  • Uh, yes it does

  • It doesn't have 3.5mm Headphone Jack...

  • OMG!!! it's a 710 processor with this price. oh noooo. at least 845 need.

  • Judging by the leaks of the OnePlus 6T it will have the water drop notch, and will probably have a more flagship processor as well as the in-screen fingerprint scanner.

  • they should at least put flagship chip inside like snap 835

  • Username checks out

  • I really like that design, especially the camera design.

  • Damn Chinese companies are on fire!!!!

  • OnePlus 6 doesn't have triple camera, microSD slot, minimized water drop notch, super VOOC charging nor in-display fingerprint sensor. so R17 Pro is worth the price too

  • Welcome to 2018 Notch, no 3,5mm jack and no removable battery.

  • Waste of resources to release R15 and then R17 within months apart and still no 845 in them.

  • same as r17 use snapdragon 710 and cost 550 euro.wtf?

  • lol snapdragon 710 for 550 euro?? even oneplus is better

  • i wish op 6t bring 50w dash charger

  • Non-removable battery,? What the hell!

  • Water proof and wireless charger

  • Does it have a headphone jack or nah?

  • 3.5mm Jack X

  • Wow.

  • Haha...!! I Want Water-resistant

  • I think one+6 is a better choice!

  • I was thrilled about the specs. Because your getting all of these in a mid-range phone. But the price say's it is not. Its kinda in the territory of mid to high end device price. With its price you can buy last year's flagship with it. But if you don't want to go that route and can't buy the latest flagship phone, this will do.

  • Lol 550Euro Just Kiding Cinas Brand and For Fine Work This Triple Cameras CPU Need to be almost Snapdragon 845 not 710 !

  • SD845

  • Who says this would be op6t ..remember they are same companies and they would not want to take on r17..also op6t would be flagship so if they offer same design the price will go high..which they will not do

  • Lol u need everything.... Atleast they give 3.5 mm jack, sd card slot, u need to use single sim or just ignore as it has 105gb available storage

  • USB Type-C?? ahh finally a nice mid-high smartphone

  • why oppo not using snapdragon processor for midrange segmant in india r series is not for india but avalible in pakistan (may be)

  • H.265

  • dedicated sd card slot

  • type-c!!!!! finallyyyy usb-c!!! my dream phone is complete

  • Wow triple camera with ois, super vooc, type c 3.1, Under display fingerprint... What do u need more?

  • Did you know: there's a 'Type-C 1.0 reversible connector' label on USB row Comms section........

  • If you didnt know....VOOC charging surpasses qualcomm 3.0

  • No type C?? Are you kidding,,,couldn't you read it supports VOOC charging technique,,,Hope next time not be rush

  • No type c??? shame!!

  • Friends Don't Worry Oppo R17 & R17 Pro has Type - C Confirmed from Oppo China Website .

  • You've no idea how much I want oneplus to take that exact phone, pop a usbc connector and oxygenOS on it, and sell it to me in October as the 6T. It's the phone I've been waiting for since the whole 'full screen' trend erupted 2 years ago. Still using a OP5 because neither the 5T or the 6 felt like a worthwhile upgrade because of the compromises required to go 'full screen' before now.

  • hybrid dual sim is useless also, why do you include microusb in a 2018 phone? the specs look good but these 2 are bad

  • I'm damn sure One Plus 6T design

  • microusb again?! wtf?

  • Unless you gaming CPU doesn't matter. Ram and internal storage matters, I.e. loading times...

  • Man 8GB ram and only SD710 i wont get it.

  • well, what thats matter when you are living the future and still use the old microUSB?! whats the point? imagine VOOC at USB type C, just be faster than it was because USB C can max out more amperage and more volts so... yes, i want a phone with a remote, you maybe didnt have any phone with that but once you used to you didnt want a phone without it i can guarantee, so, we want phones with features, more features possible because we spend big money on this phones, and phones are gettin more and more costly, so, what about give us more things, if they can charge us more then they can offer more. is just have some kind of thing that blows away other people, and everyone i deal with when i pull out my V10 and start playing with TV's and other things i see people beign so amazed than you never belive...and asking me "whats that, whats that app you use?" because many think everyphone can control the tv or whatever...and i need to explain time and time again to people what is. for some is just mind blowing, for me is useful and i need it...just that.

  • No type c, but it still has vooc charger, And another thing do u need a smartphone or remote?

  • Agree to the word strangest. Why? The premium price tag.

  • Strangest midranger i ever seen for sure.

  • Meh, microUSB...no stereo speakers, no IR Blaster no nothing...no intressing features make this phone another one, not another one by DJ Khaled but...by OPPO.

  • still micro usb

  • OnePlus 6 also has USB 2.0

  • Oh baby a triple... camera setup!

  • Wow usb 2.0

  • Finally...an Oppo phone that can work on US GSM carriers. While the lack of stereo speakers, not-that-great battery capacity, and micro USB 2.0 are a bit outdated, 8GB RAM, microSD slot, awesome display, and headphone jack are enticing. If the price is right, this could be a SOLID mid-ranger.

  • RAM bottleneck ...
