Considering all the negative comments this phone has got - whoz voted it 8+ for design, features and performance. For itz time it did look fab I'll give it that, but it is - without a doubt - 1 of the most fiddly, annoying mobiles ever created!! Itz definitely not one for texters ... sending a text from this is like getting blood out of a stone. Oh and once you get indoors with it - forget about having reception!!

Quite a nice phone but cannot install blue tooth in the car blue tooth adaptor which is attached to the cigarette lighter, despite many attempts with the bt function in the phone sycronisation etc. It works with Nokia and Sony but cannot get it to connect with this phone. Anybody know how to attach, would appreciate some help. Cheryl

As it was one of a few free upgrades from Orange I went for the fisio 820. Yes people say its a sexy looking phone and I agree with them. It's also small and light enough to go in your jacket pocket without you knowing its there. Yes the menu system has won awards. But that's where the good things end for me. 1. Only stores about 10 sms. 2. Reception for me is pretty bad compared to my old 6210. 3. There are so many buttons to press and it gets confusing so it's not user-friendly. Even after having this for a week, writing 10 sms a day, I still press the wrong buttons - and I have to press more of them. Intuitively, it doesn't work for me. Why should I put up with this? Sexy yes, small yes but there's gotta be something better!

I bought Fisio 820 in Uganda in January. It is indeed a good phone with nice facilities but the battery is a problem. It used to last for 7 good days when I just purchased it. But today it can just take a day or two. Unfortunately, we do not have Philips mobile dealers in Malawi. So there is no where I can purchase a new battery. I am afraid, I will just throw the phone away in a few days time. Can you help me?

I've got rid of it as quick as i bought it. Very shity, lacks a lots of functions plus it is very heavy!!! It maybe weights 85 grams, but without the battery, keypad, the display and the internal antena :) DO NOT BUY IT!!!

i think i ve been using philips cell phones for good 11yrs now but this particular one fisio 820 is moree than wonderfull but very difficult to work when spoiled.like my own now ,i had some problem with it now of which i ve gone to somany gsm workshops here but none of them was able to ratify the problem.this is the problem.......the cell phone suddenly developed some fault whiich i cant just tell what that could be.when i switch the phone on it will display philips on the screem after about 3 seconds the light will go off,some times when put on the light will hang for some seconds then it will go off.this is the imel number 350053501324805

I upgraded my phone August 2002 and wish to god I had never picked the fisio 820, it sticks, it never has signal, should have stuck with the reliable nokia that I had before. Good hint - dont get this one!!

NOW HEAR THIS!!! It looks nice yes.... is light and small..yes. However this phone does have many bad points. I wanted a change from nokia so i went for this one. Hard to get pictures for it. Less customizable than a nokia e.g. can't lower vol of msg's but increase vol of calls. the texting is much more difficult and even when you switch the animations off... it still takes 5 seconds to show you that it's deleted a message. The key lock facility is awful and i wish i'd stayed with nokia now... boo hoo.. 12 months of contract to suffer with this bitch of a phone

Hi: Im using Philips Fisio 820 since 2 months and is found to be good. But also have some difficulties here in singapore like could not find accessories like bluetooth headset,cover for the phone, Picture SMS received from Nokia model phones is not properly aligned or weird, ringtones can't be downloaded or recd from Nokia model phones.But otherwise a good model.

Close but no cigar. Can't get bluetooth to work and Phillips/Orange is no help ("is that a computer thing?"). Other devices see this one, but it can't detect anything. Otherwise is good. Returned the phone.

ok so instead of looking at this phone for it's LOOKS (which i actually do like) i am gonna talk about FEATURES!! i've had 3 nokia phones in the past which i have liked. i switched to a phillips phone as it offeres me more functionality and much better features. unfortunatly the only down side so far is that i was not supplied with a cable to transfer images to and from, and i am still fighting getting the e-mail working (though i think this is more of a server issue) there is actually a contrast adjustment, and the battery life is impressive.

Philips make reliable phone, and this one as a very good design and a lot of function for the cheapest price of the market, for me it's the best quality/price rate! Do you prefer a t68i for 1 year and a lot of problem or a fisio 820 for a long long time?

Unfortunately, its most impressives features are hidden but state yourself: - Up to 400 Hours stand-by battery and 5h30 for talk time. Compare with Nokia and Ericsson, it speaks for itself ! - Mechanical robustness. Currently, I think that only Nokia can compete Philips with regard to this feature. - User interface. This is simply the best. The carrousel award the IF design in Hanover CeBIT 2000. - Applications: Many applications have been embedded and Voice Recognition is very efficient. Finally, maybe the only drawback I found is related to the lack of contrast for the color screen display. Yet, this drawback appears also in Trium Eclipse and Sony-Ericsson T68. I like this phone. It would suit me better than T68, as it is smaller, lighter, has more pixels, longer standby-time (shorter talk-time though!) and loads of memory to store things. And the USB is also cool. The tri-band in the T68 is nice, but I'm hardly ever in the US. Philips has done a really good job on this phone, compared to its previous models and I am waiting for it to come to the stores!
