  • regarding battery life the best handset in the market.only it ain,t very user friendly. especially in sending sms . am happy with this piece for the last 18 months

  • this is the hottest phone it the world atm!!!! its got everything you could possibly ask for!!! what more could you want??? well done Xenium this phone rox our sox!!!

  • Mr.Brainstorm To upgrade the firmware, are there free download address in internet?or did you have some "code" to enter to the phone,so i don't have to go to philips center...thanx man

  • It is almost an year since I bought the Xenium. So many models have since hit the market and some gone too. But i dont find anything equal to it in terms of reliability, BATTERY LIFE, ringing volume, the very useful speaker-phone: all put together in a very modestly priced phone.

  • I bought this phone today for intensive conservation; sold HKD880; a acceptable price; although I want to buy the 9@98 butI am not sure when it will be available in Hong Kong. I want to know how to upgrade its firmware? aPlease suggest some web site to download. and the upgrade require a USB cable, right?

  • GOOD NEWS! There is a replacement coming your way and its the Philips XENIUM 9@98. It now comes with 4k colour and 30days standby time!Look for it in your stores in June 2005!

  • i have this one ,it's really good!

  • Simple but reliable phone I must say.. however several incoveniences : no option of sending message to several people simultaneously (and you have to choose the name first instead of writing your message first), no escape button during writing message, and somehow I just realized (perhaps software problem) that the "read sms" menu can disappear for no clear reason ..However, I'm satisfied with the phone (in particular the amazing battery life).

  • For those who can't edit the sms. In order to edit the sms, you need to upgrade your firmware. I upgraded my firmware and now able to edit received sms before forwarding out. The phone now also allow storing of received phone number to your address book and can insert your address book phone number into your sms. Must upgrade!!

  • store your msg into sms archive, then u can edit it. trust me, i'm editing my msg at the moment.

  • Hi,i used 9@9++ for almost two years,my problems with the 9@9++ all about the sms,i can't edit the messages if i want to forward it to the others friends of mine..Or after typing the messages, then store it at archieve,i can't edit again the messages.. the Second problem:at the memory status, i had used 50kb/239kb,21% used,79% free, but one day i can't add the new phone number,it said that the memory is full..what should i check?last thing, when i received 2 sms at the same time, the lcd went blank, the light still on,vibrate on,so i have to move the battery to fix it.That's all for now..thanks for this opinion box..

  • Hi everybody! I bougth this phone in June 16, 2004. I am very satisfied with this phone. Battery life is really incredible. This phone have no competitors concerning standby autonomy. But this phone isn't some kind of toy and if you are looking for color display, camera etc., then forget this phone. It's aimed to people who really needs phone for business. If you plan to go on holiday for 7 or 10 days then you don't need charger at all. That's really amazing phone.

  • I was persuaded by you guys and just bought a Xenium 9@9++. One thing: The battery I got is Li-Ion 950mAh! Oops

  • i am wont free download Manual book

  • I liked the battery life. but how can I download new melodies for my Xenium 9@9++. I also need to know whether I can Compose melodies by using my phone. Thanks.

  • question for the philips tehnic departament: how can this fone have a 20 days stand-by? and now a proposal: talk whith nokia tehnic dep. because they need it! the greater stand-by nokia fone is 6310 that you can use it "only" seven days!!! all teh respect for the philips for the stand-by of the xenium!

  • Bought 3 months ago. Going fine and great!

  • Thie phone is good except two defects: a) When the screen is touch even slightly, it sounds even the vibrator is on. b) The font size seems small compared with Xenium 9@9+ or previous models.

  • help me! how to dowload ringtone for mobiphone philips xenium9@9++.

  • hi i wanna know how can i download ringtones to my mobilephone philips xenium9@9++ .

  • The unique plus and minus in this phone: ++: the minute beep beeps 15 seconds before the end of every minute so that you can plan hanging up well in advance. --: Only the last sent message is editable. Cant edit saved or received messages.

  • The last time I charged the phone it lasted for 11 days (269 hours to be precise) after 70 mts of talk ( a lot of it through speaker phone which is very useful while driving in the car), around 20 messages and about an hour of using other menus. AMAZING BATTERY LIFE and very good performance phone!

  • its best if completed with -infra-red port -real polyponic ringtones -faster to type any words for sms

  • great phone only one problem can't find anny melodi for this phone if you know a side from witch i can have some melodi's from turkey to my phone please send a e-mail to me thanks, metin Antalya-Turkey

  • I am using this extensively for the past four weeks. Super phone with very useful handsfree speakerphone (very handy in the car), excellent reception, amazing battery life: lasts for 9 days even with my heavy use , hours of talking. Every word in the website "mobile-review.com" is true about the phone. read the review if anyone wants more info about this phone.

  • good

  • where i find driver for xenium 9@9++ gprs modem

  • great phone I want to buy it

  • Ilike its battery ia very good quality

  • Very good phone for the business user (Not a colour screen fashion accessory for kids) High quality finish, great reception and sound. Standby more than 3 weeks!! Intuitive interface using a novel carousel approach. Fully charges in less than 2 hours. Has GPRS for data connection and access to WAP services. All in all highly recommended for business users.

  • could you send me a manual please?

  • good for battery cell, please send ringtones & animasi for me. my number phone: 08161120121

  • This phone is really good but doesn't seem to have a ringtone composer, or does it? Can someone tell me?

  • I had a xenium 989 and a car kit. now i have a 9@9++ and it don't fit in the carkit any more. Its a shame that the same type off phones cannot use the same carkit.

  • this phone is the future, i've seen it!

  • This phone is terrible!!!! Belongs in the muzium

  • The product should be aligned with the needs of the teen agers wherein they are looking for a better color and a lot of games.

  • Sir, Our director had purchased the Philips Xenium 9@9++ during his visit to China. When he was back in India we realised the manual was in Chinese. Request if you can arrange to send the English version on our below address. CHAMPION COMMERCIAL CO. LTD. 305, EMBASSY CENTRE, NARIMAN POINT, MUMBAI 400021. INDIA TEL : ++91-22-22824747 FAX : ++91-22-22853725 Thanking you in anticipation. with regards Mohan

  • its a good things specialy for the perfomance

  • when this phone in europe?

  • the power of battery not so long for my phone

  • why is it that you don't sell the 9@9++ here in the Philippines. I have the nokia 3650; 8250; 7210; 3510i; and an sony ericsson T68i. I want to purchase the 9@9++ but it is not available in our market yet. May I know when this phone will be available here in the Philippines? Thank you.

  • I think this product is excellent, but I had a rather annoying question that I want to ask: 1. How do you edit an sms? 2. What key should you push to get an enter character (insert a new line)? 3. What is SMAP/POP3 Address, and how do you configured it, so I can use the e-mail feature If there's anyone out there that could help me (specially Philips it self), I'd be so gratefull, thank you. I'm waiting :)

  • Hi When will this phone be available in Belgium or west-europe? I read a test on 13/5/2003. We're now 21/7/2003 and still no news about it!?!

  • It is having great battery life never seen before, top marks to Philips, but it little over weaight, good features.

  • If philips made a phone with colour display the autonomy would smaller... This phone is for users who search for a phone who have quality, good autonomy!

  • I don't know what to say. Philips knows something that the other manufacturers still cannot detect concerning standby autonomy. Also, Philips' phones have an excellent reception. And even phones with internal antennas sill have better reception than Nokias, for example. I assured myself when I replaced fisio 625 with new Nokia 6610. This phone has very beautiful color display (4096 colors) and that's all. If you compare this phone with Fisio 825 you'll see big difference. I don't mean "compare" on GSMArena. I mean "compare" in practice. You'll be really surprised if you test these phones in some shady areas. Sometimes you'll be able to make a call with Fisio 825 and the display of Nokia 6610 will not show even the name of your network. That's strange but that's reality. So, I can wait to buy xenium 9@9++.

  • I own a 9@9, very happy with stand by and features-2 weeks and i DO speak :). Ppl, this is a business cell, if u want 3 mp3s and a crappy 640x480 digicam go to 7650 or smth, this cell is for ppl who actually use it and don't brag bout their phones... Where can i buy it, europe that is...?

  • fuck phone !!!!!! PHILIPS

  • A question for TOHPATI: in Europe the telephone is not sold. Where you have bought it? Asia? Which country? Can you indicate me an Internet site of your country that sells the phone ? (Bad english... sorry!)

  • Is this phone already on the European market? (@ which price?) Does someone know when the phone will hit the Belgium market? Phone tested well on mobile-review.com!

  • nice style, but poor of colour... and when philips will launch the MMS mobile and i hope the email capacity bigger than 10 kb in mailbox...

  • why philips moving backward with this monocrome LCD...??? i love Xenium longlasting Batt..... but where's the colour...??? the built in camera....???

  • Xenium 9@0++ is created for conversation and it does this function extremely well. Long life battery (mine lasts 16 days), good handsfree, voice dial. One cons: YOU CAN'T EDIT THE SAVED/UNSENT SMS !!! Arrrgh !

  • Forgot something, this phone is definitely not for users looking for fun features such as colored pictures, nice ear-pleasing polyphonic ring tones, moving animated colored screen savers, etc. It's more segmented for serious business users who only requires basic features.

  • Just bought it a week ago. Battery life is amazing, superb. I first charged it at May 7 and until today, I still have 3 out of 4 bars ! Keypad is improved. Better than 9@9. Sound clarity is good, voice dial recognizes commands with no problem. Ringtone volume is high and good. Vibrate is strong. Chance is you'll have less missed calls than before. Things I'd recommend to Philips engineer: 1. Add a dialog confirmation whether user really wants to switch off the phone after pressing the red colored tel button. For many phones, this red tel button is used for escaping menus or returning to standby screen if pressed and hold. It takes some times for me to adapt and still inadvertenly switch off the phone. 2. Not everybody uses T9. There's no way to switch off this T9 permanently so everytime you want to send a message, T9 is on by default. 3. Missed calls or incoming messages is displayed with a full screen "(number) Missed Call" or "(number) Messages". If user undeliberately pressed the "C" key, this notifying screen is gone. I'd be pleased to see if there's an indicator on stand-by screen informing user that there's some unseen missed-calls or unread messages. Those are minors inconveniences though. I'm glad my money is well spent this time.

  • I'm interest with this model and long stand by, but it still lack of features, please make the new one with more features than i'll buy one.

  • i have a xenium 9@9. how can i find parts or equipments of this telephone such as battery in turkey.

  • My first mobile phone was Ericsson, then Star Tac...Savy..Now I own 2 Xenium 939 and one 9@9 ..... I love your products very much, user friendly, But your service especially in Thailand is very increditable worse than you had ever met. Also all of my hose TV all use Philip. 34" 1 set, 29" 2 sets, 21"....you never beleive it your Thailand service already destroy your brand reputation ....Now, my house no longer use Philip brand. If you still care your brand image, I can give you more detail Good bye philip forever.

  • This is a real MOBILE phone! A mobile phone was made to be portable and power-source independet (unless when charging) not to watch movies, etc... It was made to communicate (by voice) and more newly by text and in the future by image.

  • I am waiting to buy but when does it come out to shops ???? 750hrs stand by is good for everybody and it does not matters what its features is the point is the quality.

  • i believe this is the phone for nature lovers, i.e. for those who love camping out in their own backyards...for 30 days. pointless to bring it to the mountains though where there is almost no signal...unless its antenna is topnotch.

  • I belive to have to have this stand-by, the best phone that i had was an philips(azalis)-also very good stend-by, good features, but I had problems with the software, I can't wait for this phone to appear, I hope no software problems.

  • i don't know this phone but i can' belive that this phone can stai 750 hours in stand-by

  • yap, this is suppose to be the REAL 'mobile' and 'wireless' cellular should be, not much spend most of the time wired to electrical point to charge the batteries, regardless the feature that might be lack. But, surely, feature can be upgrade later.

  • Will this ever become a tri-band phone? I'll get one if it does...

  • until now i havent saw anytnhig about this amazing phone but the software is similiar to the fisio 625, the backlight is white, but the most impressing thing is autonomy better than the old 9@9 up 750h, 31 days in stand by is amazing, only philips can made thnigs like this...

  • when this phone in europe?how much(price)?

  • Philips did it again a dream comes true charge it in 30 minutes and go for a walk for 30days.

  • Sucks
