I Got this phone for about 3 years since it came out although i switched to the iphone 4 a few months i go i have loved it did everything it never lagged it was great my ringtones were loud my screen was clear and crisp just some glare and just it has done so much for me so i would love if there was a f480i no.2 mine was awesome and i really reccomend one it has went through so much with me and still no problems and the screen is awesome it could be a make up mirror.

Just click on the ringtone that you choose to set and click on button set as then you will get a diplay asking for voice call,video call, etc...just select voice call. before doing this if you have set any other ringtone only for some other contact remove it.

had this phone for AGES let me tell you, it's a tough phone! i wanted to break it so i could get a new one, but like break it in order to make something internally go wrong with it, not externally it survived being bounced on concrete SO MANY TIMES and didn't die i had to slam the back of the phone, above where the battery goes, on the corner of some concrete stairs for the screen to start failing this phone lasts forever!

I have this phone for eight months and is good for taking pictures and listening to music. I install some free applications and it works. Everything is good except for battery life as i have a spare one so no need to worry about it. I use 8gb toshiba microsd and it works. Please treat it well then will not have problems. I hope samsung will do something about this phone as the followings are 1) put 3000mah battery 2) add ten new equalizers for every format for music 3) Upgrade to 8gb internal memory 4) press the screen to take pictures or record videos 5) search alphabets for music player and my files 6) add seven new colour themes 7) upgrade to 32gb external memory I think that is it and if got anything that need to improve then post it again. I will be very happy if there are more things than what i put here. I like this phone very much.

Too good phone, i have been using this mobile from last 1 yr + and never faced any problem like hanging of the screen or so which is very much available in the normal touch screens. Camera is quite OK but i really don't understand the use of Anti shaking feature when either you ON it or Off its still not working.. But overall quite a good touchscreen. :)

When I receive a missed call and they caller leaves a message. I dial 333, listen to the message, then it goes through the menu of what I can do. The problem lies min that the y tell me to press a particular button, but my screen is blank !! by the time I finally get the keypad up it is too late. It goes to another message. VERY frustrating. i love my f480i exept for one thing. i spilt water on it the other day and now the dial tone wont work. so i give you some advise dont spill water on it it is also bad for texting and is verry sensitive but otherwise its great it has 5.0 mega pixels and auto focus other from those faults i loooooovvvvvveeee it!

I bought this phone for me a couple months ago, and im not so impressed that the message tone cant be changed, i have gone through the phone again n again, n even to my micro mini sd card to try changing the sms tone but i cant. Thats the one thing that doesnt impress me other then that its such a great easy phone to use, wish the pink one on display was available i had to get black :( hehe.

AS far as i know you would have to change the firmware- The La fluer firmware shold be whit a pink setting Sadly the F480I does not have as many typs of firmware as the F480 .. so even if i took the chance on trying it out on my own Phone i would have to live whit english ad far as i can se they do not make a la fluer firmware whit Danish language for the F480I.. (firmware names are code for phone (then verion like F for la fluer R for breast cancer Ribbon then language mine is XB- i gues thats nordic..and version i think )

This phone is cool, after a while you get fed up with the touchscreen though, it hinders you from multitaking especially when texting. The camera is great however with flash and all, if you are thinking about buying it and u like touch screen phones...get it!

my uncle just bought this phone for me and i think its a real beauty. its pearl white, and the interface is fairly neat. The down side is that it doesn't have WiFi, but it has lots of shortcuts and keys to internet pages like facebook, myspace, youtube. However the design and prettiness of the phone makes up for it. perfect for someone who wants a pretty phone and can be satisfied with just normal functions of a phone. (the camera is great!)

All in all this phone is great although it does have a few drawbacks which have been mentioned. Texting is a bit of a nightmare as you end up deleting a message halfway through accidentally or you hit t9 (which I hate and have never managed to master). A big minus for me is that as a touch phone there should have been a qwerty board to text. Very annoying if you are trying to send a quick message and you're not very nimble fingered. Another minus is no wi-fi. I would have thought that almost all phones now would have that as a standard feature. I'm very happy with this phone and these little mistakes can be overlooked.

I've bought this phone some time ago as I loved its looks so much and yes it looks fantastic and the colour and shapes are awesome and it's very slim and elegant but...writing messages makes me wanna scream from despair.The touchscreen response is great but texting is a nighmare!You will DEFINATELLY press the wrong button,even with the T9 at least 8 times out of 10 you will need to rewrite your message as it is extremely easy to be erased by mistake.The language button is put next to the letters which is unneccesary since it's a button you don't need to use that often and I always end up writing in another language before I know it,if I text too quick..Cannot save word to T9 memory and most of the time I turn to manual typing to finish a word.Worse than writing messages is reading them especially long messages, contacts and generally anything that needs scrolling.The scrolling bar is too small for a finger and simply won't obey your touch and jump from page 1 to 3 or so if you press too hard,if you don't you'll be stuck in the same line..Anyhow I spend ages to read a text message scrolling back and forth and even miss lines,and I have quite slim fingers.And also i would like more texting options,for ex. you are able to copy/cut and paste only instantly in the same message ,not a new one,then the paste option's gone.Message memory too small so prepare to erase your messages to make space.Even with no pictures/videos/music and almost empty memory the message storage space is limited,can't save to memory card and cannot choose between phone or sim memory for your messages,it goes random.Camera's great,as every samsung phone I've used,I even take crystal clear pictures from a tv screen and I have no problem with speaker as most say,I have to turn the volume to the lowest level so i won't get deaf,the voice comes very loud and clear and even people I call say so.Overall I like this phone but if you are the texting type avoid.

the main add-on to this from the F480i is it has 1000mAh battery intead of 800mAh on F480..has three home screens..has the fake call function, has a much nicer looking icons on the main page and has the smart unlock function..it's a pity to those who own the F480..but oh well, this came out a year after F480's..of course it has more features..

I have used this phone since 2 months,like touch response,sound.this phone ideally suited for females.it would have been good if wireless connectivity was provided.Drawback that i face is non availability of the flap covers other than the ones provided.I wonder why companies have not come forward.

Got this phone to my wife, also did try it , excellent touch response, speakers quite load when listen to mp3's ,fast software response, quite nice look and feel in the hand. But there is one lack seem, we cant find anything like "notes" or something like my passport, codes books. Want to know if someone find something like it.

Had nokias before but this samsung is quite different probably cos of touch screen. Its really cool but not for people who prefer buttons to press! Camera is brilliant but takes a while to get use to it. Free flap protector (if you want to use it) protects screen from getting scratched although bit annoying at first.

different things to different people...you may not like this phone but that doesn't mean everybody else has to hate it too. some like and some - like you, don't. that's just the way it is. that's why there are a lot of different phones that offer different things to different people.....just get another phone.

We've had the phone a week and love it. The screen is a bit sensitive at first. We can't figure out how to add to photo contacts, some names appear but others don't. Help would be appreciated.

When I one day open Gsm Arena I've seen F480i and I was thought that was a joke with F480 but when I open the specification of F480i I see that this was no a joke than a beautiful phone! Go Samsung go!!!

The Samsung F480i is a neat little phone with a great spec - so why am I tempted to throw mine in the ash can! Although I am classed as a 'senior' I am computer literate and modern technology does not worry me. However the touch screen feature of this phone does frustrate me. It is so sensitive that when scrolling through a menu the slightest extra pressure on your finger will open the wrong page. It is difficult to enter a contact into a text message and it is easier to get the contact to text you first so that you can use the 'reply' option. I have had the phone for three months and I am actively looking for a replacement.

This handset lacks several qualities. All the latest handsets at this price come with a Wi-fi, lack of Wi-Fi makes this handset not recommended for advanced users. Also the handset crashes several times while trying to pair a BT handset. I would defintely not recommend this handset, as the looks are attractive but the stability of the solution inside is poor.

I have this phone for a week now, and I have to say is absolutely fantastic, very easy to use and the touch screen in very responsive. The only thing I have dificulties with is the games, apparentaly you have to pay in order to download any game, so with another words there are no pre-install games in this phone. Other than that is just a great phone designed for ladys
