Been using it daily since September 2013 and just recently it started acting up with heavy freezing issues that can only be temporarily fixed by wiping data. The battery, however, is still impressive today as when I first bought the phone, lasting me a whole day on moderate use. I'm in awe at the battery's performance being the same despite over 5 years of daily usage.

I too have difficulties in finding Battery for my Mega 6.3 as this is a very old model, in fact i have problem looking for phone cover for it as well, i only use it to download video & play games, i guess the 1.5GB RAM has problem running newer games, Gonna miss my Mega 6.3 Probably will replace it with Samsung A8 star once the Mega 6.3 battery totally drained.

I have had several large screen phones and this one is the worst. It has a horrible battery life. You can literally watch the percentage dropping. Closing Bluetooth and Location and background programs doesn't help. It is soooo slow. Waiting on a web page is like the old dial up speeds. Programs open just as slow. I've tried every trick in the book to improve the performance but the phone is just plain flawed. I previously had a Sony xa Ultra and it was super fast, had excellent battery life but I dropped it and broke the screen. I thought I'd save a few dollars with the Samsung. I just ordered a new Sony xa1 Ultra. Anyone want a deal on a used Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3?

The camera is still good, the sound is loud as usual, the screen is never broken after so many times fall from high, and my phone is still smooth as usual. My phone's back and the side bezel is a little bit damage and scratch. Thank you SAMSUNG for making this phone bigger and tough one. In my opinion, Samsung should produce a new SAMSUNG GALAXY MEGA line just like GALAXY A9 PRO. I love phablet because it fit me well.

Hi,I have been using this phone almost 3 years. When I'm using this phone, there are so many problem. First, my phone will lag then it will automatically turn off my phone. When the phone is already restart, I can't receive a notification for example like message from phone and message from WhatsApp, wechat and other. Then I also can't receive other notification from Instagram, twitter and facebook. I can't also play a music from my phone and I can't open a video that I save in my phone. Still using my Mega 6.3 daily for nearly 3 years now (bought it Sep 2013) and the battery is still good, lasting over a day (5 hr Screen Time On) and the camera still takes great quality photos. The only thing I've noticed is that it started to get slow in opening apps and I guess this can be fixed by doing a factory reset but I don't wanna go through re-download all of my apps again it's not THAT slow so it doesn't bother me much. Mega 6.3 was and still is my first Samsung Galaxy smartphone ever and it's because of my good experience with it that I've decided to stick with Samsung smartphones all the way.

Yes I do. Pokemon go keeps freezing, lagging and crashing, the game wont load up unless on free wifi and so I end up playing 15minutes out of 3 hours walk. Also doesnt register moving while in public transport. My husbands different phone has no issues when he playes along with me. I'm throwing this one out and buying a better phone.

I was here to compare specs to my Samsung Mega - which turns out to be actually worse than a quad core phone I will now buy from Best Buy new for $69. (In fairness, it's a comparison to a three year old Mega - but people are still paying big bucks for the Mega.) I loved my Mega at first, but you can only learn to hate it by having to deal with Samsung for a few years. Samsung keeps installing their own applications that I don't want. One day my Brother printer app works, the next day it doesn't and Samsung is asking me to install their own printer app that didn't work with my printer. The latest to go is the back camera - it won't focus one day, then it will when I wake up the next morning, then it won't when I wake up the next. Sounds like they keep playing with software updates. I've looked online and find that this is a very common complaint about the Mega and Note phones - they must use common camera software. I can't deal with the constant unreliability with this thing, so the $600 brick goes in the trash after I order a brand new $69 dollar quad-core replacement. (Actually, some idiot will probably give me more than $69 for my won't-focus Mega and my first Mega - long ago broken.) After reading that others report the same problems I'm having, I will never ever again buy anything with Samsung written on it.

I had iPhone 5s but needed a big screen. I bought my mega in 2013. Was very happy with it then bought a iPhone 6+ and sold the mega. I missed it so much that I just bought another one. This phone is super strong of you take care of the screen. I had a friend root it and upgrade to lollipop. I'm now waiting for him to upgrade it to marshmallow with cyagenmod custom ROM. This phone can take a lot and is easy to customize if you don't want to stay on the slow and ugly Android 4.2 or 4.4. If you don't need to play heavy graphic games. The camera can't compete with newer phone so it's a trade off. For the rest it is almost as fast as my iPhone and the screen is good enough for any video. Last good thing: the battery is removable. If you have one keep it!!!

Hi, I recently bought a 2nd hand Samsung Mega 6.3" and checked that RAM = 466mb and Internal =1.27gb, MediaTek MT6572 1.7ghz and 3G when using the program called CPU-Z to identify the hardware component. Just curious how come the Samsung Mega 6.3" which I bought was in this type of configuration. So different from GSMARENA's reviews and I really don't understand. Another thing, the system configurations OS show that I had 10Gb left after installing 1.1Gb of APK program. And I cant install anymore - no memory available. The previous owner wasn't aware and I was really disappointed.Please advise what to do or why this is it--- Did I buy a 'cloned' Samsung phone? Thank you.

I am using it for 2 years and 3 months allready. I am using it hard since i bought it. Not the top specs even when new, but nobody is working xls files with smartphones. If you are the kind of guy how wants the shortest times between charging apps this is not for you. You can use split screen to play youtube and run FB on other half....it wont lag for example. I drop it noumerous times but it didn't crack the sceen . indoor outdoor drop you name it. If you work at office its a great phone. If you have a very active life than its way too big. But I use it as a tablet replacement when I'm at home and you won't need another phone. That's why I find it hard to get a new one after more than 2 years.

My gf's mega did the same thing. She had the screen replaced n it did that. What happens is when the screen is replaced if they dont put it on the right way. Sometimes it has to do with the tape that holds the bezel to the new screen.

I have had a Mega for 2 years, and I LOVE it. Yes it is big, and yes it does look funny when I hold it up to my ear. But the trade off of having a large screen, that is easy to use and easy to see is worth any awkwardness or strange looks I might get. This was my first "smartphone" and I wanted something I could actually use. And 2 years later, I have absolutely NO complaints. And when I have to do things like check in for a flight, I appreciate the clarity of the screen and the many features this phone has. I really hope they keep this phone around for a long, long time (with upgrades of course!)

I have owned the 6.3 mega for almost 2 years. It has been a great phone. I do web design and I am able to take this phone with me instead of my laptop. I use it a lot. It takes good pictures. Quality could be a bit better, but I can't complain because it is 100% better than the Iphone's camera. You can add a microSD card to it as well. This phone is large but I can still fit it into my pants pockets. As with any computer product it gets a bit slow after a while and I have to go in and clean up my apps and whatnot and then it's good to go again. I have not had any problems with this phone since purchasing it. People kind of laugh at me because my phone is so big. But when they see the screen and how easy it is to read stuff, they don't laugh any more. Put it up next to a tiny iPhone and you will wonder how anyone sees anything on those things let along push the correct buttons.

you guys are not well educated. it says there mega 6.3. of course it's BIG! I was just surprised thst most are complaining that it's not fit in the pocket. Too much to handle? What?! All stores have their own replica as display so from there you can feel nd know if it's convenient comfortable and not a waste of money! No. But guess what? I bought it nearly 2 years ago and my screen is not even scratched. If you take good care of any phone (as i did with my Mega) like buying a protective case for it and not putting it with keys or sharp objects you don't need to worry whether the screen is gorilla glass or not.

2 Years owner here as well, very reliable phone, the battery still as good as new despite 2 years old, i am a heavy user, just hope Samsung could come out with a good replacement model, Mega2 doesn't had what it takes as successor to this great phone. Just hope Samsung can do this Retained 6.3" screen with FHD display, Exynos Chips like Galaxy Alpha, 13MP real camera & 5MP front camera, SD slot & user removable battery should be retained.

You can't generalize all mega 6.3 devices, you were just unlucky enough to receive defective devices. Do you know that I'm heavily using my mega 6.3 daily for 20 months now? It gets a little slow only but no hardware problems at all.

Wrong. With KK you can still move apps to SD card as with JB... Apps cannot modify files in folders on the memory card if it is not their own folder, except the phone files manager. KK works great on that phone, but JB was great too...

I can't remember when I bought my first mega i9200. I also can't remember when I bought my second mega i9200. I gave bought of those to my two daughters who I can tell just love them and me for letting go of my megas. I am now in the market for another smartphone, trying to dissuade myself from buying another mega. So far, nothing just fits the bill. So after surveying the market, at the top of my list is the i9205 mega with lte which is not available here in Thailand. If not, I guess I'm back where I started.

Try to download Galaxy Charging in Google Play then check if it reaches 1900mh charging. If not, check the charging pin that connects to your charging port if it is damage (could be the reason, same of what happened to my phone) try to use a different Samsung original cable it might work? which is now my phone charging ok.

Yes it is. Huge screen, signal excellent, wifi great, even when using just a SUPERSURF plan. Especially good with pldt MyDsl internet. Bought < 2 yr ago. Superb performance except u need d ori Samsung charger white 2 pcs type. Sometimes due to urgency use Ericsson ori charger, takes longer time. Screen size-wise it's 1 of d best in d mkt. This is commented by many users of other make or size esp. good for senior or not so senior, cheers. However the Z series has something like 7.4" size. Size isn't everything sometimes.

That's not normal. Are u using the original white charger that comes in 2 pieces? Charger head and a white usb cable that goes into it. if u are then that's ur battery as my mega charges from 5% to 100% in 2:00 - 2:30 hours.

This is a very nice phone indeed but it takes a long time to charge. I've charged my phone about 8 hours already and it ain't a 100% already but instead a 75%. Does this have anything to do with the battery?

After charging the phone during the night, in the morning it was dead. Samsung changed the mother board and Usb connector for 120 euros, after only 13 months of use...Otherwise good phone, but too big and heavy. Love the powerful speaker and nice screen.

For all those still waiting for Kitkat, flash the software yourselves because Samsung is not going to release an update. Head to sammobile and download the update for your I9200. You'll also find a link to download Odin, a PC software which is used to flash the ROM to your device. It's easy and works beautifully. Go ahead..

samsung should add more features after up grading mega .ppi density of this device is only 233 and screen look dull.mega 2 is also same thing and its ppi is 245 which is low compare to other set.better buy note 3 then this which has better ram,processor,and ppi of 390 .i used note 3 from 1 year its amazing faced no problem.

I finally updated to KK and then did a hard reset of the phone. Nothing to be excited about. It looks and feels exactly the same as JB, but now the battery is worse, external apps cannot write on the memory card, you cannot hide apps in the apps screens, you need Kies 3...etc. Cannot see any improvement, JB was as good and probably better on Mega.

I had a Xiaomi Mi3 it been update from JB 4.2.2 to JB 4 3 to KK 4.4.2 Now KK 4.4.4, there is huge improvement from JB to KK, so don't claim there is no difference, Samsung try to drag their feet again, they are using the same tricks of keep on delaying & eventually no update & forces consumer to buy another new phone, how could those cheap entry phone can get KitKat while Mega 6.3 with better hardware specs can't ? It been 6 month's since KitKat update yet it can't even covered 10% of market, only way to teach Samsung a lesson is to boycott their new phone. I have my 8 month old galaxy mega 6.3, I oftenly use it, I know this phone was made to a heavy duty use, but I don't use my phone like that way, i still have a simple and cheap phone for me to use, just not to over use my mega.even we see those gadget in perfections, then time would come, they also show their problems depending on how you use them as time goes by. when you see their problem, its kinda normal, it happens to all gadget(expensive or cheapest phone). just use it on how should it be used. when you do and command your phone to the extent of its capacity,its not the phone is defective it,'s your head is defective. its design tasks that suits its capacity, dont over used it.this is not just for galaxy mega owner, but this is for all of the people who have phone like mine, that let our life more comfortable and experience the life without limits. :-)

Great phone, have it for 1 year now, everything is top quality: camera, speaker, 16 Gb memory, speed, screen, battery... You only have to change the headphones which are rubbish. The cheap 20$ Samsung headset HS130 is perfect. Gigantic size can be a problem though, cannot put it in a jean pocket...

Today marks a year since I bought my mega 6.3, it was my first Samsung phone and I couldn't be happier! I'm a satisfied customer. Battery still lasts me over a day with average use, Camera is more than enough in quality, speaker is supreb and the screen still as responsive as when it was first powered on. Silver lining on the side are still shiny and didn't wear off (except for the area around the charging port) And back cover has little scratches only but performance is still as great. In the past year I could say it froze till the point I had to press the lock button for several seconds around 10-15 times which is quite good in a period of a year.

You should show your base band like I9205XXUC.... as far as i know most if not all the I9205 under JB 4.2.2 already been updated with move to SD card capability. Try plug in to PC & use Kies to update or connect to WiFi & use software updater in Setting - About Phone to update it thru OTA.

I have never written a review about a mobile. But now, I am writing a review about samsung galaxy mega 6.3 after using it for 4 months only because I am extremely satisfied. 1. Big Screen I was looking for phablet category item. I spent lot of time on internet studying reviews on features and performance of many mobiles. Finally came accross mega 6.3. With 6.3" screen exact fit to my pocket and amazing display quality I was more than happy. No problems seeing under screen. 2. Camera One sentence- Many of the 13mp cameras of other brands wont even come close or can't compete with the clarity of pics and videos taken from 8mp camera of mega 6.3. 3. Multitasking Easy to manage with 3 or more tasks at a time with no compromise in speed. 4. Call quality Fantastic hearing quality. If there is a mobile with justice made to meaning of 'loud' speaker its mega 6.3. Loud speaker is really loud without any wringling noises and ultimate hearing quality. 5. Battery This is one area many other brands doesn't concentrate upon. Battery charging takes atleast 25% less time compared to other mobiles and discharging takes 2 days normal use. Normal use includes 3g On for 24hrs, about 300mb of data usage, about 2.5hrs of call time. You can watch a little more than 2 movies of 1.5hrs.

I will not update my mega to kitkat too, as many users complained of battery life after updating, some say they charge it 3-5 times a day, others say it stays charging for 7 hours and other some say it became slower. If these problems are true I'll never update mine, especially after I knew u can't downgrade the firmware after updating. im happy with jb 4.2 and my 1-2 days long battery life. As for Emojis I have an app for that which is perfect with all kk Emojis. &#65279;That white bar and little extra free ram will not offset the massive battery drain problem to me.

It's impossible to use a 128gb memory card in a phone that supports up to 64gb. The remaining space won't be recognised. There is a reason why it says "up to 64gb" you know?

It shouldn't actually work but I haven't tried it and I don't need to as I have a 1tb hdd. I think if u have a 64gb one its enough and if u need more space ofc u have a pc or a laptop with +500gb or something, whenever u want more stuff in your full 64gb card just back them up in your pc, delete them from the card and download or transfer the new stuff from your pc to your mega. Like so you'll have new stuff in your mega and the old ones are not deleted but stored in your pc. That's what I actually do and I have a 32gb card lol.

The only way to downgrade is to flash the original firmware via odin. This will also restore warranty if remaining. Go to samsung-updates.com to download the original firmware. Then choose your model from the drop down menu. When you will select the model a big list of firmwares for that model of every region will appear. The list will include new as well as old firmware for the device Just select the region you want and click on download (download to pc). Then download odin (also to pc) and refer to a website for flashing process. If anyone who wants to update their phone and update isn't available in their region/country then they should follow the same procedure but select a new firmware of any region they like.

Air view is working perfectly in portrait orientation however does not work at all in landscape orientation. However if disable auto rotate and hold the device horizontal it still works perfectly. I love my mega 6.3. It's true that you need some time to get yourself used to its size, but now I can´t see myself coming back to an "average size smartphone". Despite some negative reviews and opinions on the internet, this handset, for me, worth every penny because: 1. Its screen is as sharp and vivid as can be under any conditions. I personally don't notice an obvious poor pixel resolution and I upgraded from a S3. 2.Its camera resolution is pretty good. 3.The loudspeaker is loud and clear. 4.Seeing movies and videos/reading books-magazines is a real pleasure. 5.It's snappy and fast despite being a dual core. 6.Its battery is the best I have ever experience so far. Highly recommended!

I downloaded 800+mb The wolf of the wall street but when tried forwarding it kinda force closed and it happened a couple of times... another... tried playing heropanti in mp4 format but the video didn't play @ all could only hear the sound... have tried mx player as well.... any suggestions friends.... also it seems it can't play a full hd video (1080×1920).... is that right? Dear friend, there is 2 versions of mega - 9200 and 9205. 9205 have 4G and no rdio. 9200 - radio and no 4G. Both versions have NFS, i don't know what is Pendrive. I have 9200 version with radio, I can say the phone is very nice to work with. Yes it'll get 4.4 update I hope to the end of the month.

The update r only meant for I9200, LTE version i9205 was never mentioned, since Mega 2 just arround the corner I am not surprised it would be further delayed to Q3 or end of the year. I am not surprised if Samsung refused to keep their promises & skipping KitKat update for Mega 6.3, Samsung is famous for ignoring mid range phone firmware update.

A few days ago my Mega told me my card was damaged and that i had to reformat it. I did not want to loose all my pitures and movies so this is the solution: Put your memory card into a card reader and into your PC. Then in the search window type RUN and CMD. Then type chkdsk e: /r (e being the card reader) It took a while to check but the card was fixed, and all missing files were in the Lost.dir directory of the card. All I had to do is rename the files into .jpg and .mp4 Hope that helps That is why USB OTG is so useful to backup my memory card on my USB memory stick: SD card are really fragile and are getting damaged easily. Backup before you lose everything !

KitKat gives many problem regarding writing in memory card, installings apps in memory card, and using apps to move or write files. Many apps having been moved to SD card simply won't run anymore. I prefer to stay with JB 4.2.2, perfectly stable and functionnal. For now only russians have KitKat, so it will be interesting to hear from them what happened with KitKat upgrade on Mega 6.3.

I am just showing you my firmware version which is for Singapore & Malaysia market, you should update to whatever latest version firmware for your country, i am quite sure all Mega 6.3 have move to SD card function in accordance to their regional firmware update since 1st quater 2014.

I have tons of applications and games and still 6 Gb available. Great phone. I read that with KitKat you cannot move apps to SD card, hope it is not true.

I've been using my mega since September like u and no problem occurred after I updated it, and no u cannot downgrade a software but u can try factory data reset might solve the problem. Don't forget to back up ur data as it will wipe ur device clean.

This gentleman is correct. Mega when utilizes with 4G or LTE enabled, the battery will drain quite fast. But if you are connected to WIFI the battery will easily last you more than 1 day. Thus the culprit of the battery issue is the LTE radio found in Mega. This is my investigation

Not ALL devices of a certain smartphone/brand are perfect. There's something called "False unit" and congratulations you've got one. Usually every couple thousand unit of any device u find 2 or 3 with a defect like yours or the defect varies so is the devices. So there's probably only 3 to 5 Mega 6.3 users with ur same problem in each continent.

Not only i can copy & move video from device to SD card or vice versa, in fact i am doing it almost every day as i download video, i move it to SD card, then i move it to portable hardisk using OTG cable, all smooth & easy not problem at all. The screen is brillaint big & clear. Best phone, have it almost a year totally no problem.

I received the Samsung Mega in March and I am already on my second device. I purchased the phone with the idea of placing videos on the device and view because of the screen size and the sd card option. Well, that has goine horribly wrong. You cannot move or copy videos as easily as the instructions say. I could have a video that play fine on the device storage but if you move or copy it to the sd card it does not work. This is the second phone and it does not work as well. The screen is definitely misleading and it's not a good product if you are trying to copy or store files on the sd card.

I have the mega 6.3 and I love it for the most part. You definitely need a case for it. I dropped mine from a 1 foot fall and the screen cracked in half and only one side worked. So now I'm on my replacement device. The phone charges from 2% to 100 in an hour and a half and lasts ALL day. Literally all day using Youtube, Facebook, checking emails, texting and by the time I lie down to charge it's at 10%. It takes amazing pictures and videos. Now the size. You will need both hands to operate. Its impossible for me to use with one hand. I cannot fit it in my pocket, but I am a female and never put anything in my pocket anyway.You can't text and drive with it which is a good thing lol. The display is very good, not amazing like other galaxies but still very good.The only thing I do not like about the phone is it does not come with emojis. :(

Which Mega u talking about 6.3 or 5.8? If its the 6.3 then you've got a false unit. The warranty center shouldev replaced u the whole device with a new one. Im using it since almost 8 months and never had the issues u had or any other issue. You'd be surprised by the amount of movies I watched on my mega (yifi movies). Bottom line the Mega 6.3 satisfies my needs everyday and never disappointed me.

I purchased the Samsung Mega 30 days ago and I am already on my second phone. Although the phone boasts the large screen size it is always a challenge to get the phone to work properly. My first issue was an issue with sending picture messages (Phone would show a spinning circle as and the picture would never go through.) Called my provider and they performed some sort of push and it went through at that time only. They advised that I get a replacement device. A day after this the phone completely locked up. The warranty center reflashed the firmware and the device semi worked for a couple of days until I needed to use the map app for navigation. The device froze and at this point I demanded another device. I also have issues loading videos. I have a new device and it's a little better but I feel very cheated because this is by far the worst phone I've had in twenty years.

dear samsung, can u add the new software option make the mobile connection have options: 1) LTE ONLY 2) LTE AND WCDMA panorama mode is too long..... can make option to make it short picture from panorama mode is very good.... why not update the camera software in order to increase picture quality.....i mean for other mode such as auto....the picture not good to be par like Note 2 and S3

Yes, i've just finished installing mine it took an entire hour and device was extremely hot but it all went good in the end. The only difference I've noticed is it became faster and noticeably responsive in openning apps than before, and the keyboard became light grey color instead of the old dark grey.

I have been using this phone for 2 months ...I'm really wondering why the phone restarts when I upload pics on instagram...that doesn't happen often but sometimes...actually this unit is a second unit because at first when I bought mega 6.3 a week after, the phone broke down,the screen just turned black, so I changed the unit.Thank god they changed it coz of warranty..Samsung's quality is declining.I love Samsung but I have had two Samsung Phones before this mega ,which are s2 and note 2 but all broke down...wish samsung would improve its quality cotrol.

You would be surprised by its batter.Screens been not much different than my ex sg s2 . Its actually a very thin phone ud love that. After reading so many non-enthusiastic reviews from so-called expert critics, I had all but taken the Mega 6.3 off of my list of potential new phones. If I had not had the opportunity to play around with a �live / activated� phone, I never would have purchased this phone because of all of the �just okay� professional reviews. I have had my Mega 6.3 for a little over 2 weeks now... And, I have no buyer's remorse whatsoever. I feel that the Mega 6.3 performs much better than what I expected. The resolution may only be 1,280 x 720 and 233ppi... But, I absolutely love my screen. And, whenever I get together with friends and watch YouTube videos, everyone else�s iPhone5s and Galaxy S4s stay in their owner�s pockets / purses, as everyone wants to watch the video on my Mega 6.3. I�ll bet that I have watched more streaming video in the past 2-weeks than what I watched in the 15-months that I owned my Galaxy S3. Speaking of the Galaxy S3 (which I did like a lot... that is, until the day I bought my Mega)... I have to say that even when my S3 was brand new, after being off-of-the charger for 24-hours, I would never have dared to leave the house without re-charging the battery. This is not the case with the Mega 6.3. With similar type of use, I have gone 45 to 50-hours on several occasions and still had 40%+ charge left on the battery. Note: I don�t play any games on my phone, so I cannot comment on battery life if you are playing games.

I love my Mega 6.3 (i9200) 3g version with FM radio. It has all I need except dual sim feature. Otherwise, it's perfect for my needs. It's a phone and tablet in one and it's the fastest dual core I've seen even outperforming the old gen quad cores and china mediatek quadcores. The screen is clear and super bright. I prefer lcd over amoled screen. It has enough internal memory of 16 gb of which 12 gb is user-available. It has sd memory card support and a big removable battery which lasts me througout the day with moderate to intensive usage. It is the most reliable smartphobe I've ever had. It doesn't overheat as much as the higher end galaxy s4 (which I only had for one day) but is almost up to par with its real-life performance. It's like a note 2 with a bigger, brighter screen but without the s-pen. Never had any random reboot and never had the need to look for an outlet to charge my phone when I am outdoor. Samsung struck the chord with this one. User's are generally happy with it. It's one of their best-made phones ever in terms of quality and balanced perfirmance. I only look forward to the Galaxy Mega 2, as an upgrade. I wish for a full hd screen, slightly bigger battery and fm radio plus LTE connection and dual sim feature in one variant or/model for the sequel of the Mega series

Had this phone for about six months. Battery life was good, I can go out from morning till evening and have about 65-70% left with regular use (whatsapp, instagram etc). Playing videos on this screen size is a pleasure, once you get this phone you will complain other phones like iPhones having a small screen. But, at the same time it is harder to type with one hand and will not fit in some clutch. Nevertheless, it is still a great phablet. I actually dropped my phone the other day and the screen cracked. Half of the phone couldn't be use but it could be fixed, thank goodness.

I've had the I9205 (4G version) since August 2013 and think it's incredible. App2sd support on the Hong Kong ROM is very handy. I've got loads of apps installed and still got 3GB space left on my 8GB phone. It's fast and the benchmark results indicate similar power to the Galaxy S3. The Mega 6.3 has virtually the same hardware as the Galaxy S4 Mini, but a much larger battery and larger, higher resolution screen. It may "only" be dual core but it's one of the better dual core processors available. Some quad core processors can't compete with dual core Snapdragon 400.

I had this problem when using a Hong Kong ROM. The system reports that there is 16GB but in actual fact there's 8GB. I had an update a few weeks ago which corrected it so the "system storage" went from 11.22GB to 3.07GB and the storage went from 16GB to 8GB.

Are u using Hong Kong or Main Land Version ? My is i9205 as well (LTE Version) my from Malaysia, Baseband I9205XXUCNA3 Storage Total 12.11GB (Available). Why don't you sent it back to Samsung Service Centre as it is impossible to have such a low avaialbel memory, perhaps you should reboot it as well some thime could be some error reading.

I just got my Mega 6.3 16GB brand new upgrading from Mega 5.8 8GB. When I check the storage it has only 4.2GB usable from 16GB point and the system memory has taken up about 11.2GB without any apps, video/audio and pictures load by user. Where my Mega 5.8 which is having the same adroid version 4.2.2 only about 4MB of system memory allocation. I even reset the phone to factory default but it still showing 11.2GB system memory allocation. Is there anyone know about this issue? Please help.
