Samsung Galaxy View2 - User Reviews

  • Samsung is way to expensive

  • Looks great

  • At this Price. I would buy it had SD710 Or Exynos 9610 ..... Along with a 1440p Super Amoled disaply. Would be an amazing view for movies and would be no need tor a TV.

  • 660 euros for this...hahahahahaha...sure

  • Samsung is copying now from the YouTubers, even tho Samsung started it in 2015 but now are continuing, but still copying from YouTubers.

  • 17’ wide stop in fullHD screen like a joke, with 2kg should afford the laptop as well. Fail product !

  • ips display, samsung dont use ips on their tv's which is a shame as better viewing angles. this should be super amoled

  • 15 inch OLED screen enough

  • waste of money if not AMOLED HDR and hi resolution

  • Very expensive

  • no oled, no buy

  • 3my

  • CoOl

  • Not cool at all

  • cool

  • cool

  • cool

  • cool

  • what is the point of this ???

  • How about the screen ! Is it rotating or the same as the first one?

  • Most of your points make sense but this is practically a TV with a battery, not a laptop/tablet, just extremely overpriced. However, there's nothing wrong with the weight actually, the average laptop has only 1/3 the capacity of this thing's internal powerbank, and the weak ARM-based SoC and RAM potentially helps in battery life even further

  • SD 660 and Exynos 9610 give about the same performance. Its left to nm's and battery consumption sadly. Exynos 9610's CPU is great but no one knows why samsung decided to use a weak GPU and thats disappointing

  • No. Look at the A50 review here on gsmarena. At best, the Exynos 9610 is just as fast as the SD 660, but clearly not better. It doesn't have a chance against the SD 675 or SD 710, which are still a good bit faster.

  • Umm no. Snapdragon 660 is inferior to the exynos 9610. The 9610 will be somewhere close to the snapdragon 670.

  • What is this, I don't even XD Over 2kg for a tablet? Are they going for new heavyweight champion? XD Seriously, I've seen laptops that weigh less, and they still have the benefit of an added keyboard, and you can do much more with them than only watching media. As it is, this device screams "failure" all over. It's far too weak to be used for anything but media consumption, it's far too heavy to have it with you all the time, it doesn't even come with a keyboard to make up for the extreme weight, it only comes with outdated Android 8, and considering you can only use it for media watching, it's brutally overpriced. No thank you.

  • To Samsunk, this device was made for media, not for tasks that need much power. Its for entertainment.

  • Nope. Exynos 9610 (as in the Samsung A50) is *almost* a match for the SD 660, but not quite. Exynos 7884 is clearly worse and not even a match for the SD 630. Plus, tiny 3GB ram is pitiful. Why are they even bothering with this, if they're only going to put crap hardware into it? The price for this low-end junk, over 600€, is ludicrously impudent as well.

  • I second this

  • A mobile TV that can run apps and supports a SIM card. Could've been cheaper tbh, so get this thing with a discount/price cut, folks In a related topic, it seems that this is meant to be like the Tab S5e. Except that one has a smaller OLED screen, is more mobile and can handle games better... but no 3.5mm jack...

  • The biggest OLED display on a tablet is 10.5", you'll need a real monitor for anything bigger. Even the biggest LCD tablet is this tablet's predecessor, the Galaxy View

  • processor seems to be very slow, and they use LCD panel, too bad, it was a pretty good option but those specs look really bad

  • A large 68 inch TV with 'only' 4k resolution, only has 1/4 of the PPI of this. You don't hear people complaining of the resolution. People here need to grow up and get their facts straight!!

  • This would be nice if it had a rear-facing camera. Now it is useless for AR demos.

  • very slow processor

  • Another flop!!

  • Odd decision that they didn't use a 1440p or a HDR10 display. I get why they didn't go for an AMOLED, but having an HDR-supported display would be great for streaming and keep prices down.

  • Because if it is contain 8GB RAM and 256GB storage with 17.3 inch it will be probably a laptop with windows, cost will be $1600 plus plus they want to make it cheaper, for kids play, movie, youtube. thats what you need 3GB ram and 64GB and SD card with 400GB

  • Okay just to get you guys cleared. A 14 inch laptop has 1920x1080 A 15 inch laptop has 1920x1080 Both above is basically very bad quality and does not cross anyones mind as "good displays" But this with 17+ inch screen 1920x1080....should be the worst display of the decade. Really samsung ? Best display maker in the world comes with this ? Seriously, I think samsung found a set of displays made in 2011 in their garage, they think...what should we do...? Then a former apple employee comes there.."Hey...why dont we use the old tech and release a new device...we call that innovation back at apple...chop chop..lets get on with it"

  • I'd say the biggest weak point of this is the OS

  • Most 17 inch laptops are 1080P, I use the original 18.4 inch Galaxy View and the screen is fine.

  • I was actually disappointed to see no HDMI in. For OTA receivers, android boxes, external gaming systems, etc.. Anyone know if the USBC is thunderbolt? Can it accept an external signal via a viewing apk and an hdmi to thunderbolt dongle?

  • 127 ppi loool

  • 17.3" screen..Bravo. Where is FM Radio...My 1st phone is S2 . Best fm app

  • Cand someone olease explain to me why the tablets and this galaxy view 2 as well have 3gb ram?i mean there are phones with 8gb ram and a lot faster processor that galaxy view.why is this happening?i mean i think there is enough space in there to cool the processor and the ram etc.so why is this happening?

  • Gaming is not the go my friend, internet is and that is why Samsung provides for all at the best they could.

  • Your kidding? Samsung actually announced this?

  • You need at least an 8MP camera to shoot 4K video. The camera on this is only 5MP. 4K=2160p

  • That gpu is not great to process over fhd even on fhd some games would struggle

  • It may be awful but like every standard 17.3 inch laptop has this resolution.

  • i dont like what Samsung is doing why are they not putting the snapdragon 855 chip for gaming in their tablets what are they thinking that we want this device for just watching videos, gaming is the go now so step up your game Samsung put the high end chips in the tablets.

  • 126 ppi is awful

  • Exynos 7885 is slightly worse than Snapdragon 660

  • What's the fuss about this particular one?

  • I swear, if Samsung actually releases this.
