Hi! I'm using Spice MI270 for last 2 years. My experience with this phone is not at all good. I purchased it through flipkart. Firstly the USB charger I got was rusty & was looking like someone has used it & repacked it for selling. The highest problem I'm still phasing is whenever my call ends ( no matter I have called someone or received someone's call ) there is a loud sound of call ending which I couldn't resolve till date. The added disadvantage of this call ending sound is it creats a long headache. Can anybody help me out of this problem please ??

I use this phone from last 2 years , if any one wants this phone for the purpose of android then don't buy it , it is having 200Mhz processor,which can not process anything ,u can not able to use any feature of android, better to buy any simple phone (non- android),it hangs very much ,(i throw this phone due to hanging problem),battery is very good lasts up to 3 days because u never think to use it for any purpose accept calling ,calling is very good ,during call if screen locks then u have to remove battery to switch on the phone ,buying this phone means putting your head under the fire(your Blood pressure may be out of control after using this ) my advise -plz plz plz plz plz dont buy ,buy any low cost nokia phone

Spice mi 270 is super phone @ it's cost with very good internet speed for downloading youtube video upto 260kbps with tubemate ,it has good gps signaling with a-gps support,don't try to root your phone otherwise it will be corrupted by viruses and you dont have external rom provided by company so don't try to install os from other source it may totally f**k your privecy,location...etc

its a value for money phone but sometimes the video playback seems below standard and battery life is very very poor and it kills all the fun this phone provides. and if you don't use the internet then the battery lasts for one day.if battery consumption is not the issue then go for it.

Hi iam using this fone for past 2 months ,i can say it is average but not so bad for its price band of around 2500 rs you get an android with WiFi but sadly no 3g connectivity yes of course as some people have said processor is very slow and touch sensitive is not that good but u have access to market place but you can not access Google play you tube can play good only with phone browser not with you tube app battery will suck the juice if you use apps other wise it will stand for atleast 1.5 days on the whole it a good phone for entry level android user but keep in mind its like use and throw ....!

In this phone wifi hotspot, front camera, and 3g is not supported. GOOGLE PLAY is also not supported. this phone can work older version of android market. In this phone; games like fruit ninja, temple run , raging thunder are also not supported. and angry birds is not be !played smoothly. In this phone Motion Sensor is also worst so u can not play motion sensor games. it takes lots of time when it switched on . LIVE WALLPAPER is also not work properly. so I advise u that not to buy this phone. and if u buy then u have shift your home near service center .........

This gentlemen does not know any thing about Spice Mobile. In Indian Brands Spice has the best Service Setup to handle phones. It is recommended. I have three models from Spice including new Steller. I had to go service centre twice but my problem was resolved same day. Much better than Nokia. Forget Karbonn or Micromax where customer are on DHARNA at service centres

I tell you, this phone is just superb with so less price. It has got all the features to have fun and keep in touch with world. Nice phone.....but you must know how to play with config........insall a ligher launcher.....remove unwanted apps or ligher versions of wanted apps.....keep ur phone's cache free and close unwanted apps.........i works good with the apps it is capable of........u get chepest touchscreen dual-sim for 2200 in which u can't do anything.....and you get and android with unlimited possibilites(keeping its limits in mind) for 2800...........what more can you expect.....

Dear Friends spice mi270 is a good option for the persons who r keeping multiple phones as the battery backup is good if u r not using net and other android services, once u start using these services u require a power backup with u 2 recharge ur battery. other wise its a good phone but in some cases u might not be able 2 hear the incoming voice for that u have to restart the black box. the most important thing is u have 2 be very selective while down loading the app as once the app is loaded there is no provision to un install and remove from the sys other wise its a good deal for Rs.3000 one can get in this amt

It is the best phone rs.2,999 !! Now it has a new modded recovery too(similar too clock work mod) After installing the modded recovery, you can remove all the bloat ware and do whatever you like and if you mess up with the phone, you can even restore your phone to working condition (can't be done with general android setting - you need this modded recovery) After removing all the bloatwares, its fast !! get Modded recovery here :

Hey, i m using it since a week. Its very good and very chip android ever. however there are some issues in it. 1) if you want to start internet in you phone then go to settings-> wireless and network -> Check data connection sim. Master sim or slave sim should be selected. then go to mobile networks. Here click on the access point names. if access point is not created then it will be blank. now click on the option which is at the right side of home which is near the end of phone. click on new apn. select name what ever you want. then select the apn name which is unique for all the providers. Ex. for aircel it is aircelgprs. click again the option button and save the setting. come on the home screen and start your internet. 2) The major drawback of this phone is it is not supporting the adobe flash player 10.1 I tried from 4-5 different sources but i failed. it is use full for live streaming. if spice is not going to provide the solution for this then it will pay in the selling of the same.

Nokia battery doesnt work on this mob (Nor wil I recommend) You cannot install adobe flash player (I searched a lot) High graphics game doesny work smoothely Battery back up is good (Keep screen brightness low) Install LauncherPro and set it as default for your home key (Works perfectly and smoothly with really cool transition effects) Angry birds, Talking Tom works perfectly.. Android 2.2 is far far better than 2.1 and Spice Mi 270 phn has android 2.2... Has an LED indicator (Red and Green) for msgsm missed calls etc... Sound output is d best.. Loud and crystal clear (Believe me) Sleek and neat looks... Stylus is included.. Processor is a bit slow.. But multi tasking is possible ( My Mi 270 used to run more than 30 tasks at a time) GPS, Wifi, EDGE but not 3G (acceptable at this price range) For file manager install ES file explorer for fast viewing... bought this phone 1 yr ago for 4400 rs. my total money got wasted, after the 3rd day of purchase the touchscreen starts giving problem it go blank and then i hv to restart the phone i took it to svc cntr they replace with another but i found that the new screen was somewhat hvng washed out colours as if it was not orignal still i didn't took any action, then after 1 month the os got corrupted took it again to the svc cntr they intalled it again and i loose all of my contact and then after they reinstalled the os the phone became very slow even at the svc itslef it was slow i told to the person there he told me it will get ok after 1- 2 hours but it never got ok and the battery back is also very less u hv to charge ur phone twice in just day time and again at night. then before 6 mths ago i sold it for just 1100 rs to a 2nd hand mobile seller then purchased idea cellular i.d 280 model phone, as wen i visited to pay my postpaid bill i saw thier new offering with lots of benefits which intrested me a lot so i purchased it as they were providing unlocked phone means any co. sim can be used in that and trust me all friends i m very happy from last 6 mnths. the cellphone is marvellous and m enjoying the android phone. i will not recommend u to buy any of the spice mobile from my experience.

dear anand, this android is Dual SIM, Dual Standby, But Single Talking. If one sim is buzy,other one simply stops there working so when u don't want net just turn off ur net. there is no other option for this issue.

Touch is horrible, screen material is a joke - phone will be full of scratches on very 1st day, Android isn't designed for resistive, resolution is horrible (in comparison to other phones), it cannot load a video (it absolutely CANNOT load a video), even EDGE connectivity is horrible, cannot stay connected to the internet for more than 30mins, even buttons respond slowly, cannot run 90% of apps for android, speed is a joke. What angers me even more is that I got this phone for Rs.6000!!!

Hi All.... This is my hands on experience with the phone... Yes the phone is dirt cheap... so is the processor... I have been using the phone for the past 10 days and yes it has its own flaws The Pros It has android 2.2 stock and I am unable to find a ROM that can help me replace it. There are no network issues and voice clarity is simply good. The user interface is the same across all spice phones i guess and is user friendly (keep in mind its stock 2.2 android so cant expect anything great). The sound is loud and it has audio profiles which helps you to alter the immense sound coming out of it... Now the CONS On a 1 to 10 scale with 10 being the highest i would rate the processor at -5, the processor does not exceed 200 mhz even though it says its a 600 mhz processor, i did try to overclock the processor by rooting the phone however you cant get access towards the processor even though you are a super user. So since the processor doesnt go above 200 you cant play movies which is a major CON. The processor is so slow that you cant even run a Full Benchmark score on the Quadrant Standard... Angry Birds would feel better on the old black and white brick game consoles, if you know what i mean... Overall, if you need a phone with dual sim, android OS, battery back up of 1 day.. then this is the phone for you.... Gamers, movie freaks and yes people who are crazy about music, PLEASE STAY AWAY ITS NOT YOUR CUP OF TEA.... guys if you need further info let me know thanks, Naresh

at last i got the answer what size is the battery. Today i visit a mobile spare shop where all service center guys buying stuff. The guy in the shop checked my batter and gave me BL 4U battery and it suits well. I didnt check it well. It not the orginal from nokia. but got 6 months warranty at 290rs. 1150mah. Will charge and use it and will reply is it worth it or same.

select mobile networks from settings, then select sim slave or master which you want to manually set. then select access point then select the middle option button ( that screen may be blank if there is no pre settings) the select New Apn. in the new page only set the APN to "DOCOMOINTERNET" (or any other apn as from the service provider) then save it.

I have Mi-350, this is very good phone,actually the re-brand of lenovo le A-60 Chinese phone. very good quality I hav tested all the major utilities of it. signal strength is good, Wifi is fast, GPS works well., battery is standard I have sygic map installed. But the major prob is unwanted preloaded apps. Which can only be removed through rooting, though i have the PROCESS from a Russian site, but scares to do, as i am very new to this. Good value for money.further the manual is given nothing in it. Spice should rellok at it.

MI-350 has a motion censor also and its feels great to play some motion sensor game. I have tried video calling via 3g and works fine. But I have problem with idea as when i activated the 3g it goes to roaming and it takes to Airtel Network for 3G. Thats what is irritating me. So i have decided as it is a dual sim i will reliance or airtel 3g sim.

Capacitive touch screen is very very sensitive. 3G works at great speed, games like angry bird and rageing thunder perform very well. Wifi,GPS,battery all perform more than as expected. I have bought Spice mi-350 just 3 days back launced in october for Rs 8200 from mobile store bangalore,specification android 2.3.3,220mb internal memory with 190mb for use,very good capacitative touch screen and very good 3.5 inch display good quality, o.k 3.15 mp camera and vga front camera. it has video calling facility on 3g.(note: its important to know whether you can make video call or not like sony ecrission mini pro has front camera but does not give option for video calling but need 3rd party application like skype for video call). video recording is also good. sound qulaity is o.k but not bad at all. All this features at Rs 8200 is good.

You dont have to buy a substandard china phone that got sar values that can put a hole in your brain, poor camera and pathetic video recording with no 3g just coz its android dude. Think about it. My advice invest a 8000rs and go with the galaxy mini or lg optimus pe 350. Those will get upgrades too. By the way, the os is nothing without android market which needs constant 3g service to download the huge sized apps which in turn needs a lot of internal memory for installing apps before moving to microsd using link2sd and performance without hanging or slowing down.

Well, he seemed pretty nice when I asked for a replacement for a minor camera disfuction & gave it to me immediately. And he did approve that I spend enough time in checking all aspect before buying, since it'll save both him & me time & trouble later.

I started using this phone about a month ago. It's not a bad phone at that price. However, like any electronic device, purchase is a gamble. My camera stopped working after I tried some funny apps for camera that I got from Android Market. But they were prompt to replace it right-away (ofcourse, I just told them, camera stopped working just like that). So, my two cents for people who're still planning to buy this : 1) If Android 2.2 (or higher)+ Dual SIM + GPS is what you're looking for, hold on. Spice launched mi350. It's mi270 + 3G support + capacitative touch screen. Should be available by mid of Nov. Priced @ 8500/-. mi 270 is @ 5500/-. I think it's a better deal. 2) Please go with atleast two hours in hand to buy the phone & check thoroughly the following aspects (based on the problems I faced) : a) Screen calibrate : Touch screen is a tricky thing. please make sure it works in all corners & center. b) Play something in speaker phone mode & check if the battery is draining out rapidly & phone is getting really hot. c) Please go with two working SIM and an SD Card so that you can check normal calling / SMS / Camera (Camera doesn't work without SD card installed). Also, atleast one of the SIM should have GPRS enabled, please check browsing. d) Check head-phone. Check for volume aspect. It has an imposed limitation on volume while on Headphone mode. Just make sure, it's ok with you whatever is set as max limit (it's not too low for you). Also, if you're TATA Sky+ user, you may need the 3.5 mm headphone slot for convrting it into a Universal remote. e) Start google map. Check if GPS is working properly. Check is AGPS is working properly. f) You may also wanna carry your blue tooth headset with you and make sure it's compatible with the phone. g)Put it on charge with the charger provided & make sure it's charging alright. h) Try the speech recognition feature in keyboard (it types what you speak). For that go to a new SMS. Instead of typing, try the speech recgnition feature (tiny microphone button at left corner of the keyboard). [You'll need an active internet connection to check it]. Once you bought this phone : 1)Thanks to Jhalife's post : LauncherPro & PANSI SMS apps made my life much better with this phone. I also installed "No Spam SMS" [after you install PANSI sms] as a spam guard. I found that's the most light anti spam SMS apps (& free, ofcourse). Only Pansi SMS doesn't give any option for managing dual SIM sms. It only sends from default SIM. So, consider if you want to install it. [by the way, I uninstalled Go SMS Pro, too much for SMS] 2) I've also got "Fast notes sticky notes 1x1" a good application. Now I just check my kitchen store & spell out the goods I need to buy. It creates the checklist for me when I go for grocery shopping. Another addition is "Google Translate". Well, I just like that app. 3) I use OliveOffice Premium to read word / XLS etc. You may wanna try it. Not the best, but works well. It's free & downloadable from Android Market. 4) I DID NOT allow Google contacts to sync with phone contacts [it tried to import 1600 contatcs, to all people I ever sent an email]. I have my contacts stored in two SIMs. I copied them to phone & just kept the phone contacs display-able. Whenever I add a new contact, I also add it in one of the SIM cards, just to be safe. By the way. this phone has a pre-installed very good application, SIM manager. Allows you to manage SIM contacts & Phone contacts well. And it's one of the most simple applications I saw. 5) I use a transcend 8GB SD and moved all applications that I was allowed to to SD card. Well, that was my summary. It's not a bad phone at all. Infact, it's humble price & appearence kinda attracted me more than it's competitors (was there any android dual sim, btw?). Anyway, I hope it helps. If you're speding time in cheking all the aspects before buying the phone, it'll bring you pleasure.

I am using mi-270 for 2 months but still unable to tether through USB connection with my PC with windows xp professional. Even spice service center workers could not do that in 2 hours and asked to submit my mobile there for some days that I didn't do. I think this is problem with all mi270 sets. Install Go sms pro app for sms the in built app is a waste 2. Install "Launcher pro" app from market it will increase your phone speed to the best with many flexibility of animation speed setting. 3. all the above apps are free. further you can install z4root from internet by coping it in your phone to remove the pre installed crapwares. dont remove any application about which you arent aware. after this you will love this phone. for battery issue turn the background data off whenever you are not using it than battery back up would also be good. 4. You can install 3d weather widget which would give nice appearance and consume less battery and memeory.

pc connectivity solved till date i have been using blue tooth dongle to copy my data to the pc. today i found the right way. download the driver for spice mi 270 from spice site. then connect the mobile using usb cable. the media wont be recognised. but now press the middle button of the phone(dont know what its called, but on the right side of the home button) open notifications and then select the "select to copy files" option.. u ll now be directly connected to the pc and the pc will recognise the device.

This is not the only dual sim mobile...ALCATEL having dual sim android mobile long before nd I am using it for couple of weeks.Only draw-back of ALCATEL is the resistive screen also not so bright...sound is very good(use earphone of i-ball), battery is also satisfactiry...it lasts for two days for moderate users... seems power management of this mobile is very good...If you can compromise on screen...then check the ALCATEL website...they have lots of collections...

you need to install z4root and root it permanently because temporary root doesn't work for many. and then download and install an app named "root app remover" and from then on its simple..dont uninstall any apps without knowing what it it.. can someone post the gfive battery alternative and its price. has anyone tried upgrading froyo to gingerbread. i contacted the customer care today and the lady seems to have no knowledge about the gingerbread update.. to get the best performance install"go launcher ex" launcher app.... u ll love it.. for this price a dual sim andro is great. the only drawback is the battery which "veera" knows how to fix and we hope he ll let us know soon.. and the SAR is 1.48 W/Kg. and i hope that spice ll roll out a gingerbread upgrade to the existing customers.

Not that great for multitasking. Can handle 2-3 apps at once. Over loading makes it sluggish. Unless you require an Android with dual sim functionality, you can look some other alternatives.. like Motorola Fire ..

hi Can you clarify if this is dual sim active or just dual sim standby? In dual sim standby, both sim will receive signals and either one can receive a call. If some one dials SIM2 when you are on a call on SIM1 the caller will get a message that you are out of reach or switched off (depends on the network). In Dual sim active, both SIM can receive calls simultaneously and you can hold SIM1 call to speak to SIM2 call and vice versa. I use a samsung 5212i dual sim active and happy with the phone but phone book entries are limited to 1000. I have about 2600 frequently called numbers so travel with a paper directory all the time.

as for the problem relating to hd video. its ok now. dont know what was the magic behind it. but i did install lg cam app and experimented with a lot of video configs.after that video is playable in pc. i can also set songs as ringtone which i couldnt do initially. battery backup is very poor. the edge is always on. the widgets to turn of gprs works only for a very short time. and to get the best of the phone use "go launcher ex" and its widgets, or launcher pro. they are the best apps i used till now. the effects are amazing and there is no laging. but the notification light glowing continuously is a headache. hope someone build a custom rom for this. can someone please tell us what are the prices of the batteries which can be used in this phone. and the model number. to root the device, download z4root. install it. permanently root the phone if temporary root doesnt work. if its rooted u ll see a icon named superuser in your app menu. then you ll have to install and work with "terminal emulator" to delete all the stock apps. its easy but time consuming with all the typing. can someone find a dialer app which supports dual sim dialing.

Connecting to PC : I had a problem connecting with PC ,not necessary that everyone faces this problem. Please search for "Software data cable" in android market . It is a wireless file manager. Havent explored syncin contacts and messages . But i take backups in my SD card . Running internet using phone as wifi Ad-hoc hotspot : Yes, it performs well as wifi hotspot so you can run internet using phone . Search for barnacle wifi tether in android market . I havent tried connecting more than one devices yet but it shld be capable of supporting few more laptops.It doesnt support 3G remember . Just one more thing dont buy any mini bluetooth based keyboards , android 2.2 doesnt support i wasted my money.

Problem -Moderate Battery life : Phone comes with battery -1000mah(Li-po) runs 24-26 hrs . Solution: GFive compatible battery is available with 1200mah now mine runs for 36-40 hrs with Edge always on. Use power booster app. Problem-Unwanted apps running backround Solution : As advised by others i used Z4root(from xda developers) get into su mode. Remove all unwanted stuff. Problem: Doesnt connect with Pc Solution : Use software data cable app to browse through your phone wireless[wifi needed]. Gmail sometimes doesnt sync but thats not phones problem , something to do with carrier .Graphics is decent compared to the price .Dual sim works well . GPS works well with the support of AGPS.Phone quality is okay . Speaker phone is very poor . If you want dual sim +android 2.2+decent/low browsing need+push emails+GPS+not wanting to invest too much ..then this phone is for you!

The processor is definitely 600Mhz as it can play Angry birds Original Version very well and burn the rope with moderate lagging. Angry birds Lite runs very fast with zero lagging. Its performance is well comparable to HTC wildfire. Wi-fi range is very good. The notification LED comes very handy. The touchscreen is very accurate and responsive provided if you calibrate it with the stylus. Lack of a dedicated GPU makes it slower for graphic intensive games but for daily tasks it is more than very good. Root it with z4root and remove the unnecessary apps and tune RAM with Netqin Android booster and you will have a phone as smooth as HTC wildfire!

it works. switch on ur wifi jst open mobile application n pc application. in pc click on file n den users den add user. it will open a dialog box to select symbian or android. jst select android. it will connect to phone automatically. i m using dis app frm last 3 yrs. its best app to manage contact sms calender log n files between different phones of different company. even u can save symbian data on android phone with back up n restore option.

Yes. The default Phone calling utility asks for the option of SIM1/2. Even the msging apps like GoSMS asks if you wanna send the msg thru SIM1/2. The software support for dual SIM is pretty good except for some applications which uses the default SIM for their operations. Not many apps are written keeping dual SIM droids in minds as there are only very few of them.

Well u see, what i am talking about is the the processor! At what speed spice is implementing, i cannot confirm. Run some benchmarks. That will giv u a proper speed cuz then it will be maxed out. The processor is definitely Mediatek MT6516. I check the internals, which means my waranty is void. its an ARM A9 processor with dual sim support. Its not ARM Cortex A9. ARM9 is mostly used in feature phones at speeds from 200-300MHz. Mediatek released this processor with android and windows mobile support. Gigabyte GSmart S1205 has got the exact processor. I would say its better in GSmart cuz windows mobile is less processor intensive. But this processor doesn't provide performance. Its a basic CPU. I hav been trying to everclock it to 600MHz but hav been unsuccessful till now. I wonder is it only me or everyone's got the same problem. I believe it would be as fast as the HTC Wildfire @ 600MHz. Although its an ARM11 processor in HTC, ARM11 has got an ARM9 as its core with some extra bells n whistles. Only the processor would benifit in the Mediatek. Everything else would be the same cuz i checked the documents and doesn't seem to hav any kind of graphics processor. Well use it as a basic dual SIM phone with some smart features that a feature phone can't provide. for performance, get the Mi-410. Sadly its not listed in gsmarena.

Hi D, I have been using the phone for more than a month and as of now, no major flaws. Installed several apps and all worked good. It can be regarded as a basic android phone. Its slow when compared to other entry level droids, but not so slow that you can't manage. Spice rebrands chips from China, the only advantage is a year of warranty.

No flash light. That might be a limitation. I don't think that there would be any official Gingerbread upgrade. Considering 2.2 there isn't any limitations with regard to the software. It delivers what it should for $100.

This one has got a processor from MediaTek, MT6516 running at 416MHz. Some websites say it is 600MHz but thats not true. It has got a seperate 208MHz processor which is actually used for the radio or modem. Android can run at frequencies of 330MHz. But for a smoother experience, u need atleast a 600MHz processor. But such a phone with dual sim and android, its not that bad. just as a phone with dual sim and some added smart features, i think it is a phone good enough to be used as a secondary phone if u use to many sim cards. Other than that, if u want to use it as a smart phone with lots of apps, u should look at the Mi-310 instead. good enough entry level phone!

Depends on your requirement. If you are a dual simmer and an android freak with a tight budget this phone may well suit you. Ofcourse, its not a beast, but not that bad though. Its resistive touch and its much accurate than I expected. You will need some practice to get set to its touch rhythm. Out of the box, the phone is loaded with bloatware which makes it sluggish. You need to root it with Z4ROOT and remove all useless junk. Music quality is good. 2MP cam and delivers what it should. Video recording was better than taking snaps. Yes the phone locks when you are on call. To end the call you have to press the top button and then press end button. I guess this the only cheapest branded Android phone in the Indian market. If you are an end user who doesn't bother about the OS, but only what the phone delivers, then there are quite a few alternatives that you can google.

Loud speaker quality is just OK. It can be imrpoved. 4. Scrolling is very poor. May be this mobile is OK for people who want to do some experiments with Android based OS. Its not at all suitable for people who look for well designed phone. Over all phone quality is not appreciatable. Processor should be improved with added price. Spice can increase price and supply good quality mobiles rather than ordinary phones for lower cost!

Use a less thick screen guard. If its too thick it wouldn't be easy to operate. I've stuck a normal cellotape and its just fine for me. Little grippy, but you'll not find any such gripness when you use a screen guard.

I am really surprised how it encompasses Android 2.2 Buying it is a total waste of money.. its better to go for micromax A60 instead

Mi-270 is a nice phone. I have used Mi-310 and it clicked decent pics (the phone has 2MP camera). If I am getting an Android phone with dual-SIM, Wi-Fi and 16GB expandable memory just for 5700k (Not sure about best deals available, bt I found this price on www.saholic.com)..it's not at all a bad deal..

hi I got mi-270 from letsbuy.com yesterday delivered. Since this my first touch phone, i need few tips. Can I use screen guard? will it reduce touch sensitivity? Touch works ok. But scrolling seems to be more difficult. Not working smoothly. It is because of the scratch gaurd or generally resistive touch phones behave in this way? Please advice.

The catch is its the only branded dual sim droid. The addition is that you're getting a droid phone for 5k and with a year of warranty. I'd love 3G, provided it comes at the price of a GPRS pack. India isn't flowing with video calls as of now. Warranty claim isn't that difficult as most of the spice service centers are free whenever you go.

Its a 2G phone with Android.You wont be able to use 3G speed and will be almost obsolate in few months when everybody moves to 3G. Spice seems to be fooling around by providing 2MP camera, what will you do capture with 2MP ? And you wont be able to use any imaging applications with such a stupid camera. I think Indian OEMs should move towards providing reasonbly priced handsets than providing cheap once.

There is no 3G in this phone. Average battery life of this phone would be 1.5 days. But I think even good HTC Android devices like wildfire and other phones also gives the same batt life.

best phone for only 6000/- and with great feature lil bit slow in graphics but much better phone with dual sim. i am using the phone and faced no problem and will able to flash android 2.3 soon on this device thanks spice great job.

1) The inbuilt memory is 190MB. 2) Yes. The 3.5 jack is for audio and the audio quality is really good. 3) Resistive touchscreen. But the touch sensitivity is good and on par with resistive touches of Sony Ericsson. You will not regret for buying the phone and its great for this price.

Battery life is quite acceptable. It lasted for about 1.5 days with extensive messaging, about 0.5 hours of talk and more than an hour of wifi/bt/gps. The battery meter hanged quite a long time at 10% (about 4 hours or so below 10% before it drained off completely) The speed of the phone is satisfactory for this price range. It never showed any major lag. The only scenario where I felt some lag was at the Market, when I had about 3 apps simultaneously downloading and installing. The default Contacts mgr doesnt have Groups. Download YouContacts app for that. Rooted the phone using Z4ROOT and it worked like a charm. For some reason Temporary Root did not work. But permanent root worked. The default Messaging app isn't that attractive and lacked some features. GoSMS app solved that issue and it also displays from which SIM (1 or 2) the message is sent/received. The call log also has the similar feature. Typical resistive touch and I'm loving it. You will never need a stylus. Scrolling along menus is smooth, but not as smooth as you might see in HTC or any other. Almost all apps that I downloaded worked well. Did not try any games though. Pros: 1) Cheapest branded dual sim(GSM+GSM) Android phone in the market. Bought its for Rs.5099 (US$110) from Letsbuy.com 2) Android 2.2 (Froyo) 3) Good looks. Matt covers. Cons: 1) No flash light with the 2MP Camera, which isn't up to the mark. 2) Less than par battery life. 3) Screen could've been better. Little white fonts show a slight tinge of grey with it. Overall a great phone, with most of its greatness from the power of Android. I'd surely give it a 4/5 for the features that it offers for this price range.

The phone has got accelerometer sensor. But the auto screen orientation isn't that responsive. You need to make a stern conscious effort for the screen to turn. Haven't tested it fully though. Even in high end phones, I find auto changing of screen orientations quite annoying. I usually disable it.

Just got the phone delivered an hour back. The speaker volume is good. Could be quite annoying too. The headset volume is good. Couldn't keep the vol in max as it was very loud for me. Overall is phone is great except for some slight sluggishness. The only minus is the display, letters are kinda jaggered. ofcourse, can't expect to own a gorilla for this price!

ya i m using this phone some issues are there 1. screen is moderately responsive. 2. i think it will last a day with 30 min surfing , 1 hr talk and 1 hr music although i think surfing could cause rapid fall in battery 3. if u remove some crap-ware from phone phone become quite responsive 4. and ya u can download apps from market freely without any issues i wont recommend if u want super performance phone but if u want a decent phone with average features and battery life it is still a worth to buy. (root it with z4root and u can remove crapware in phone with appdelete from market)

Hello all, I have ordered this phone for Rs.5.1k from letsbuy.com. Will get it in a couple of days. I'll post a full hands on review once I get it. The bitter thing is, there isn't any single professional review of this phone anywhere on the web and I've risked my money in buying this one. I already have Spice QT-44 (a dual SIM QWERT phone from spice for Rs.1.4k). I was very badly in need of a dual sim android phone. My reason to ask because Micromax A60 was a piece of junk and I really dont wanna waste money on this phone if there are performance issues with the basic phone.

I would buy this if it's cheap because it has Android and would use it for calling and messaging. I already have Desire HD for internet. I think their main intention is for people who have 2 sim cards but only for calling and messaging AND with Android.

Can anyone tell is this phone worth buying? Compared to Samsung Chat 322 and Champ Duos I feel this is going to be a better phone atleast specs wise. I would like to use my phone for email and some music, will be connecting to wifi hotspots and dual sim is very much required. So is this phone a good option, I dont know any other dual sim phone with these features.

I have had a look at the phone.. Its gonna cost you around 6000/-, but its not worth it. They have used a TFT Touch screen. The Mobile is very cheap.. So cheap that you would feel like never using a mobile from Spice Once again.. I don't get it why they justed used a TFT Touchscreen they could have charged an additional of say 2000/- to make a better phone and also they have used some cheap processor which makes it slower than a cyrix based computer which was used in 1980's.. SPICE try to make a mark in the Mobile Industry not only by making Affordable Phones but also Gud Ones...
