ZTE Grand X LTE T82 - User Reviews

  • very good phone.. durable...

  • can i ask for the specs of ZTE T81?

  • Is the manual of t81 works for t82?

  • This site has 1080p 30fps, ZTE T82 Australia has 15fps @ VGA Is the Australian version not as good, or is it a copied typo from the lower performance T28?

  • I am using ZTE T82, it says 3G but i cannot use data usage... even if i turn it on. What could be the possible solution? i bought the phone in the Philippines and i am using it in Cambodia. please email [email protected]

  • I have got this ZTE T81 telestra from Australia , i need help on how to unlock it, it network locked, awaiting for help ,thanks

  • Hi the ZTE T82 is know in Australia as the Telstra Easytouch www.zte.com.au/telstra/index.htm‎ You can down load the rite manual.

  • I also asking how?

  • Thanks, guys. I got T81 user manual downloaded and it looks like it may work for my T82. Will report again if it doesn't.

  • Can anyone please send me where the user manual can be downloaded?

  • The t81 has the same specs but 4 inchscreen with a resolution of 400x800 5mp camera(which is terrible) records 720p video front camera 0.3mp and everything else is the same

  • Where is the specs of zte t81?

  • I am using the T82 and i heard its not available in the South African market... My challenge is i always get error messages when i try and download other apps i.e: Error 946, what could cause this problem? any suggestions would be appreciated!!!

  • Good phone :-) but will this Ever get the jellybean update? Or will rooting be my only option? :(((

  • Nice man, I'm also from the Philippines and I'm actually planning to get a line with them. I only have limited options with them and when I saw your review with the phone. I've made up my man. Salamat. Kudos!

  • Yup, have a screen protector installed. Can't find one for this model so I just used an extra protector for a PSP 2000. It doesn't cover the entire screen (doesn't block the front camera) but does squarely fit the whole touch screen area. I'll check my settings again. Maybe it's also the lighting. Thanks. Btw, just dropped my phone, argghhh!!! Got a ding on the metal bezel, near the mic. Sighh, barely a month old @:(.

  • I got this phone from Smart Philippines for free on my second line. I've used several Android low to mid to high-end devices for 3 years now. I wasn't excited about the ZTE T82 when I got it since I am currently using an Xperia Z. Then I tried antutu on it, got 11,000+! was quite surprised as I considered this phone as low to mid-end. Also it only has dual-core but the antutu benchmark is actually better than my other "cheap" quad-core phone and tablet. so I decided to install games on it (Temple Run Oz and Dead Trigger). I was really impressed with it's performance! i tried streaming videos, etc., still impressed! Apart from it's being plasticky and "chinaphone-ish" looks, perfromance-wise, it's impressive for it's price. beats other "cheap" quad-cores I tell you. Screen quality is passable. Camera is passable, flash is useable. Battery is above average (beats my Xperia Z's 2,330mAh maybe because of lower screen resolution and only dual-core) Really satisfied with it's price-vs-performance. :)

  • Make sure the front camera is not covered by any screen protector as it will definitely affect the performance of the front camera. I have A ZTE T82 and I don't have any of your issues with the front camera. It takes nice self-portraits actually. :)

  • Do you have a "generic" screen protector on? make sure the camera is not covered by the protector as it will definitely affect the front camera performance. I have a ZTE T82 and the front camera is nice for self portraits. :)

  • I am considering to get this on Smart also, but I can't just take its China phone look.. :(

  • Just got this from a Smart retention plan 800. Overall, a nice unit, if you don't mind the typical China phone appearance. Quite responsive, no lags so far. Only dislike I have is the front facing camera. Photos and videos are grainy, to think it's 1.3MP capable of 720P as per specs. Can anyone confirm this same poor performance?

  • How can I put the camera shutter on silent?

  • You can buy it from CMHK in Hong Kong.

  • To transfer your apps to your SD Card, You need to go to Settings>Apps and go to the Category "Downloaded" and select the app you want to transfer by pressing "Move to SD Card". If you cant transfer it because the button is blacked out, You have to make sure your SD Card isnt emulated. If it is you wont be able to see the divisions on your storage summary. (The one at Settings>Storage and the divisions with different colors, summarizing how much space you used.) If it is Emulated, Just remove the SD Card and Place it back on a few seconds later. If you still get a have time transferring it, just download the "App2SD" or "AppMgrII" at the Play Store. Dont worry its free. It could help you transfer the apps and Clear some cache as well.

  • It is available in the Philippines via Smart LTE Plan 1,500 or you can buy it unlocked.

  • Hy! Could anyone tell me where can I buy this phone? Maybe someone tell me in which country is available? Because I've been hunting this phone for months, and I haven't been able to buy it. Please help me with this, 'cause I have nothing!!! Thank's.

  • hi.. i am using this phone since friday. may i ask someone out there how to transfer my earlier downloaded apps to SD card? since i just bought it this morning. thank you.

  • The phone is great but if you want more details about the phone, here they are: -Its running on stock Android 4 ICS. -Internal memory is 4GB but you can only use 2.8 GB -Camera is clear but hard to use in dark places. -My T82 is running on a High Res Launcher and almost fully personalized. No lags and crashes. but if you have way too many open apps you will experience occasional lags. -You can't focus on video mode -Screen is clear. Great quality despite the 540x960 resolution. -Screen size is great if your not really in to "Phablets" that has 5" screens -Haven't tried the LTE, but 3G connection is good. -Audio is enhanced with Dolby, but Speaker isn't that loud. -App transfer to SD is integrated -not upgradable to Jellybean -Auto brightness is too sensitive. I get irritated when the screens brightness is getting brighter and suddenly dimmer. -If you're a mobile gamer I suggest you buy a 32 GB SD Card. because of its low memory. you have to move some apps to external memory. Phone is great! but has some unnoticable flaws. I reccomend this phones to those who don't have the budget for high end branded phones. but are fond of unpopular performance phones :)

  • very poor quality... always hanged-up when wifi hotspot is on. The unit crashed after onyl 2 weeks of usage. Do not buy phones Made in China... totally a trash.

  • Phone seems to have good specifications but such low internal memory, RAM also less. Anyone buying such a phone must be a guy with something to store. What use is room with thick solid walls and little space inside.

  • This phone has incredible hardware for the price

  • ZTE Grand X LTE T82 smartphone is worth to buy. Dual core processor with 1 GB RAM will provide it good speed while Android ICS will add to it. 8 MP camera along with its features is good for entertainment purpose

  • Would like to know which carrier is carrying this device? I am curtently using a zte warp and llke it, except it is kinda slow! Would love to see grand x come out on boost mobile!! Would grab it ins second!!!!

  • It is now released in Australia as the EasyTouch 4G with Telstra. Very nice device.

  • The one I've picked up actually doesn't have the ZTE logo in front, which makes it look much better. The phone itself is running very well, especially for its price. The battery works surprisingly well, could last normal usage for a whole day. The downside about this phone is it's sound quality may not be as well as some of the other major brand names. It's acceptable, but not superb.

  • i think zte should put only ZTE logos bcoz its looks like too china fon..not a global fon..

  • u can get zte @lowyat plaza 4th floor...but grandX mybe dec2012.

  • You can contact your service provider...

  • im currently staying in KL malaysia, where can i get the device..???

  • contact your service provider for the price details..

  • Tosky203 symbian is dead and will stay that way with the crap games and slow internet browser

  • how buy this smartphone? i am in Romania and no existed site with this phone and price please.

  • Ur frog in a Nokia pond buddy.... android is ocean... u cant imagine also what is the power of droid.

  • I use symbian belle on my C7, it's awesome, no lags, so so smooth unlike android that lags like hell despite being dual core/quad core while my nokia C7 is only a single core with everything running perfectly. This OS rocks

  • One more thing, use your laggy POS software belle, see how crap and slow the browser is and how generally antiquated the rest of the OS feels, go ahead and support an already dead platform and a slowly dying OEM that is Nokia.

  • The lte model uses a different cpu than the normap grand x

  • I thinks theres a mispelled, it should be a nVIDIA Tegra 2 processor not Krait

  • I think the Android smartphone industry can now officially be declared as a cloning industry. Every goddmamn Android phone has practically the same specs. I'd rather use Belle, even S60 if necessary for the rest of my life then be a part of this global stupidity.

  • I reckon this phone is going to be very successful! It has great specs, it looks nice and because it doesn't have a famous badge like Apple or HTC, it should be really good value!

  • hi

  • nice looking phone
