i remember my friends being baffled when i played minecraft on this phone very smoothly. Of course draw distance was low and looking at its resolution now, i guess it wasnt impossible :D and the guy talking about gpu being relatively powerful also supports this xD

The GPU in this phone is REALLY good, much MUCH better than I was expecting! I've seen some low end phones released in 2018 that have a WEAKER GPU. It's really surprising if you ask me!

I don't really like this phone. The screen is way too small, so it's harder to type messages or navigate in the menus. There's not really much storage space on the device, you'll need to put a SD card. Some apps are incompatible with the phone. Anyways, the desktop software and the Google Synchronization works very well. The phone has a good sound quality, just like the pictures, and the Bluetooth functionalities are okay. So, there's good and bad points about this phone, and I don't know if I could recommend it.

I'm using this phone more than 6 years to make it even better do the following 1- Root it using spectrum root windows 2- use Rom manager to flash clockwork recovery 3- install CM9-20130929-nightlyE400 Rom 4- partition SD card by Recovery 5- use link2SD app to change default install location 6- use experia ICS theme to make screen good 7- install gaaps-ICS version ZIP by flashing using recovery 8- use Open camera app to make it good 9- vola you are good to go. I have over 50 apps with 5 app pages and it works as a beast note this phone has java which no new android has as far as I know

I had this phone back in 2012 and in my opinion, worst phone I used. Yeah, for the price I could understand why it was slow but I didn't think it was going to be as bad as it actually was. I used this for a year and a half and I don't know how I managed. Storage is absolute crap. You get 1GB of internal storage but there was a system memory section which has 157MB worth of space which is where the apps would install on. It was a laggy mess and the screen was the worst. You can count the pixels from a normal viewing distance, it was that bad. I thought the camera would be fine considering the 0.7MP camera on my iPod touch took OK photos but the camera on this phone was horrible. My iPod took better pictures. The only good thing about this phone was the battery life because it lasted me about 3 days but considering I couldn't use it much because of the sluggish performance, that's what made it last a long time. All in all, this was such a terrible phone. LG has been making good phones now especially with the G6, but this phone wasn't one of their best budget phones.

My brother got me this Christmas 2012 I loved it, was one of the best phones I ever had. Low on storage, yes, however I downloaded App2SD and all was solved The front is thick plastic which makes it very durable. I'd even drop it face down 10 feet out my window because I know it would survive every time It unfortunately went through the wash months after having it :( I miss this phone

I had it back in 2013 and I still remember it. The screen is absolute garbage you can see pixels right there, it's slow, has allright camera in day light, it reacts well on touch, the battery is below average and I paid around 400pln for it which is about 100 dollars. I've had this phone for about 3 years now. I like it. But it's gotten old and I can't wait to upgrade to a better one. Here are the cons that I've noticed: 1. The battery runs out quicker, but it's probably because of some app that's draining it. 2. A lot of good apps are now outdated for this phone. You'd get away with older versions though. 3. The lag is unbearable at times. 4. No front camera. 5. The back metal part (near the camera) rusts/oxidizes over time. It doesn't bother me that much though, just thought I could share. 6. Speaker is sorta weak. The pros that I've noticed: 1. I've dropped this phone SO many times with and without a case. It has NO major cracks, just bruises. 2. It does what a basic phone should do. Plus a few more things. 3. It's cheap. 4. It's small. Sure, a lot of people like bigger phones, but it looks cute and simple in my opinion. 5. The battery used to hold for very long periods without needing to recharge. 6. Front camera is okay, I use it a lot.

I actually find it easier to SMS than other later phones - less prone to fat thumb syndrome, "keys" are inexplicably big for screen size. A lot of focus on poor screen resolution; and yes - it is noticeably blocky - but you are not going to watch video on it eh? I bought three - two went to elderly parents-in-law and one eventually gifted. Cheap to unlock. No problems encountered.

I was actualy very happy with this phone, until 6 months ago. The phone was really all I ever needed, no fancy games, not lots of useless apps and it did wonders - compact yet reliable. But suddenly the phone decided it should reset itself approx. once a day. Sometimes it's several times in 5 minutes and sometimes it works great for days but you then know you're in danger. Often it happens to me that the phone resets and until I realise it, no one was able to get me since I have to retype PIN meaning it was working off line. Well, I have to point out that there are 4 of these phones in my house: while 2 still work wonderful, other 2 just suck. And I'm the one that got the lemon. In fact I still use it but I am very unsatisfied and can't wait to get the opportunity to purchase a new phone. Nevertheless, I would definately recommend it. Hope you're not my luck, or just upgrade after 2 years ;)

Amazing phone. I've been using for more than 2 year.. I managed to root the phone and installed a custom rom. It has a very good battery life which can last for up to 2 days, its has a very large internal memory of 1.15GB which you can use for apps. Overall its a Fantastic rom, No Bugs at all. I have this since it was launched and I still use this phone. This is by far one of the best phones I've ever used. The specs may be a little off by now but still a reliable phone. I also bought sony xperia j when it was launched but as of now, I'd hate to shit on xperia but xperia j may have better specs but overall lg won with better performance. xperia j lags a lot after 2-3 months of use and it still gives me a lot of crap even to this day but the lg l3 is still fast since day 1. I am looking for a replacement for xperia j (I had enough of it's BS). Does anyone want to suggest a 6 inch phablet? I will still continue to use the lg l3 as a second phone.

I've had this phone for 8 months. I have taken fair care of it, its screen has been scratched a bit by pocket metal, dropped maybe four times in its (operational) life. I've used it for two things: phone calls and text messaging. in the last two months the touch operation started failing, and now the screen is only functional for brief periods precluded by brief prayers and a bit of rubbing. Now the touch screen is almost completely dead. It may work once a day. I liked this cellphone before this, it was a very good device, but now my flip-phone is more useable that this brick.

I have had this phone for about 2and a half yrs.I recently found out it was dropped once into a full bath tub. After it sat out it still worked! Then just the other night I too dropped it into the bathwater!! I thought for sure it was a goner. I go to the kitchen to grab the rice and it was gone! So i took it apart and the nxt day....works fine!! I have also dropped it screen down on cement at least 5 times! It's a pretty good phone to start with an android device. I noticed some wifi problem even if the network is hidden, low internal memory which can be quickly full with some apps installed, this can be solved with the SDmerge. Not enough RAM (384 mo), low quality screen.

even if you have 16 gd sd card͵the memory that will be consumed when installing an applckication is the system memory of your phone not the external storage cards.the system memory is 158 mb. to free more system memory while installing an apps. Go to. settings~ application ~manage application~click internal memory~click the apps that you install and click ~move to internal memory~ by doing this you can free more system memory and you can install an additional apps.

The battery is 2-3 days on any rom this phone battery rocks coz the screen is small and uses less energy. The LG Optimus L3 E400 is a great smartphone for the user who doesn't want anything special. I admit, it is an old phone wich is useless to buy now; But if you need a phone as fast as possible, it is awesome. You don't have that much internal storage after all of the updates, but you still can download Whatsapp, Youtube and some very small games like Minecraft.

Every time I phone is, it gets hot and I don't know what seems to be the problem since I'm not using it that much except for sending message but I rarely use it.. At first I thought it was battery problem since once my phone started to heat, it will froze until battery get drained.. I even bought a brand new battery but it doesn't change a thing.. Next I did Factory Reset thinking that it was infected with a virus and as that was the technician advised me but the same issue still occurred.. I am now frustrated because I can't use my phone.. Truly the worst electronic device I have ever had the misfortune to rely on. I have never bought an LG product before, I never will again. It does not function correctly. When calling, suddenly other applications will start such as an audio file, playing music during a call. The touch screen often freezes and you have no option but to remove the battery, sound quality during calls is awful. The system memory is so small that I am only able to have whatsap and viber installed.No other apps can be installed as they cannot be stored in either the on board memory or the SD. Now the phone will not charge. Or charges very very slowly. It is less than a year old and all of these problems have been a feature of it since it was new. LG stands for Low Grade I think

I've been using this phone for almost a year and the main problem for me in this phone is it's ram which is only around 325 mb, tough, I can install apps/games which I like by transferring the data to my sd card. But this is a really really tough phone, When I was on a vacation, I accidentally drop my phone about 7 feet and it's still alive, only it has scratches over its body and also I drop it a lot of times and I even tend to throw my phone in our house and it's still alive.. I thought it is a remake of nokia 3310. It's really tough, so if you like a tough phone then buy this.

You'll Need root access as well as Clock Work Mod Recovery but it'll make your system storage 1.14 GB by joining your internal and system memory. I had this phone for a little while as a work phone but found the software to be very limited... I couldn't even connect to my wifi router! I had to get this phone since my old phone broke and I had to buy I new one and since I didn't know anything about androids I just bought this cause the store owner talked me into it. I've had it for a year now and I've come to the conlusion that this phone is really only good if you absolutely cant afford anything else. It use to take 10 seconds to load up the contacts list and that's just one of the many features that smartphones should be capable of doing nowadays. After I rooted it and used scripts, mod and apps that speed it up, it is now "useable" in a sense that I can do things like social networking of making calls without the phone lagging. With that said this phone is acutally a really good choice if you're just starting to learn about rooting and ROMs and such because it's so cheap you wont have to worry about bricking it and it's good practice for you to learn about android so when you do get a better phone you know how to use it to the best of its capabilities.

Its "News & Weather" application started to hang out without a reason. So, you can't enter the application to check the current weather or news, unless you clear data from the application manager, and then don't add a current location for the weather. Now you only have the application for the news. I tried to remove the cache folder as advised from some forum, but it sometimes work for the first time to re-open the application or it never works.

This is a good phone if you're a light user, I'm a heavy user with games, apps, internet browsing and all that stuff, the phone does get lag but it works, low memory as well (160MB for app storage and 1GB for music, pictures, apps-to-SD etc) and even a microSD card up to 32GB, I got a 2GB in mine, phone runs a 2010-2011 Android OS of 2.3 Gingerbread, knowing this phone is 2012, should of put like 1GB of app memory (or 512MB enough to store apps) and Android 4.0 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) but since these are "low-end" or "low-budget" phones, can't expect much from them, anyways, good phone overall just the app memory and performance is the downfall of the phone, I bought mine for $50 on eBay and had it for almost year, using it on TELUS carrier in Canada, I will rate this phone 3/5.

I've been using one of these LG for last 2 weeks - overall i would describe it as "disappointing", compared to HTC. Updated to CM / ICS 4.0.4, mainly phone app - designed extremely poor - caused lots of problems (ie not even speed dial, signal major loss, etc. Internal memory totally small. However, is a nice phone for beginner levels, think i'll keep it for my daughter (she's only 1yr old now ;-) )

There is no way to remove any of the preinstalled apps to make room for more useful ones either. I maxed out my ram simply by running facebook. Makes me wanna go back to my old brick phone. That's because you/someone entered wrong pattern/code in youflr security lock screen more than 5 times, that' why it locked and cannot be opened unless you connect your phone to your google account. But if you don't have annly wireless connections, sad to say, you will need to do factory reset that will delete all your data on your phone. If you're using the stock camera app, then you can turn off the shutter sound by opening the stock camera app, tap the settings icon on the top left side of the screen, look for shutter sound, then select Off. But if you're using third party camera apps like camera360, cameraZOOM FX, etc., then you can't turn the shutter off even you turn off the shutter on the settings of that camera app. Unless you delete the camera sound file of you're rooted.

I had installed a screen protector on the cell phone and after I made a phone call, the screen went black. I moved away the cell phone from my ear and the screen remained black. It was supposed to come back. The proximity sensor was not picking the signal and I could not hang up or access the num pad. The main button (home) did not work or return control over the cell phone. I instantly resolved the problem by removing the screen protector. Notice that I made another long phone call and the screen would not come back, however as soon as I pressed the home button I gained access over the phone interface. Disappointing as I have an LG Phoenix and does not have this issue.

I found that having the phone away from my face make no difference but then I discovered that if I quickly go for the speaker button then the screen stays usable. Not being able to stop a an unanswered call without removing the battery is not on. Not the same problem with incoming calls but still the blank screen and I can't find how to get the speaker on with an incoming call. You need to use the Android SDK Tool. Simply google it (you must have a fast internet connection to download fast because it sizes 500MB+). Save the file on the computer. Extract the file if it is in .rar or .zip format. Open platform-tools folder Right click on the white spaces and select open command window here. Connect your phone to pc via USB Cable. Select PC Software then enable USB Debugging by going to Settings>Applications>Development In the command prompt, type: 'adb devices' (without quotes) then press enter. Your device must be listed there. Type 'adb shell pm setInstallLocation 2' (without quotes). Then wait for a moment and that's all. By doing that, you can enable that move to internal memory button if its disabled (except from launchers or some tools). Installing applications sometimes directly to internal memory, some are not. So you must move them manually.

Just make sure your free system storage space is 20MB and above. Clearing cache will help also. Much more if you're rooted, you can clear the dalvik-cache. You can move also apps to internal memory. Leave apps to system storage if it is needed while phone is mounted to pc. Some apps can't be moved to internal memory though it is movable. You can enable the move to internal memory button by following these steps:

Perform software update. You can do it by just tapping the "Software Update" icon in the apps list, or connect your mobile to a computer and select "PC Software", then download the LG Mobile Support Tool" in the support section of your phone to the LG's website then perform a sofrware update IF the update is available. So far, I haven't seen any ICS update in this phone, but there are custom ICS roms for this phone.

I suggest to move some/most of your applications to internal memory, except those applications that you want to run whether phone is mounted/connected to computer. Take note that moving apps to internal memory will still leave space to system memory, but not as high as if it were on system memory.

It respond real fast with its supa sensitive touchscreen. The RAM is too low, I installed Twittter and Facebook for Android apps and plus two other apps which actually were not huge in terms of memory and the 'Disk Full' message already appeared. Another probkem is tha screen resolution which isnt that clear a.d its somewhat dark; but you really dont have to complain about that considering its price. The 3mega pixel camera functions pretty well with much light, & the geo-taggin capability is one of the awsome features of the camera. It lacks LED flash so you cant take photos in a place with low light. Its browser isnt that effective as you would expect since it is HTML5, I had to download opera mini. The screen lacks gorilla glass so expect scratches after a couple of weeks of using it. The google maps in it is pretty nice; You can access settilite photo of your locale, no matter how interior place you are. The navigation too is good because you can get the directions and time youll requirs to reach your destination. One bothering thing is its data usage, it consumes much data.. thats obvious to every android device. The grip in its back cover is comfortable while on your palm and allows you to hold. tha phone firmly. It has a radio which works well but cant allow you to manually enter frequency . The low RAM is tha only major problem because you cant install much apps. 1GB internal memory is not a big deal because it has a micro SD card slot easily noticable when you open the back cover. It has three physical buttons: one on the top right corner of the cellphone for turning on/off the device, the other one is below the screen which functions as homescreen button and finally the last one is on the left sife of the device which basically is volume button.

its def a cheap phone, esp on the market fr a cheap bugeted phone that is smart compatible. only $50 from Telstra. good for a night out phone. gr8 alternative for a GPS unit. compatible with loads of GPS software like TomTom, Co-piolit, google maps gr8 battery too. downside is the screen is small, low camera res, colorscreen only 256k. over all worth $$$

If you instal a screen protector film, is probably that. Some protective films carry some static and cause that behavior. I bought Xtreme Guard device protection and I ended peeling off from the cellphone. Problem solved !!

If you will update your phone via "Software Update" application installed in this phone, maybe you'll get an update if your firmware version is outdated, but I don't think you will get an ICS update maybe because of the Optimus L3 II (4.1.2 JB). But if you're rooted, you may try custom roms. Just surf the internet and look for the custom ICS rom that suit your phone.

Try to use KDZ Updater and install the firmware. Select the firmware version from the list: ­ Just search on how to use KDZ Updater. Using KDZ Updater will restore all the default apps to your phone, as if you buy again your phone (unrooted, apps were gone, as if it is new again.)

Now I get it. It is by default to leave some in the system memory after moving to internal memory. As per to your other question, yes. After rooting, you can transfer it to internal memory (leaving it to ROM's storage will save you a 'lil bit more space + usable when phone is unmounted). You may also remove it from your phone when you're rooted for you to be able to free more system storage.

No, you got it all wrong. Look, if you install Angry Birds for example, it eats up, let's say, 30MB on the system memory. A lot, but you can just go and transfer the game to the internal memory, right? My problem is that even after transferring Angry Birds will still leave 2 MBs or so in the system memory (Cut the Rope leaves 6 MB, for example, and I have a lot of games that do that). That's what I'm talking about. And I'm asking if I can transfer those un-moved files too after rooting, because all combined, they eat up a lot of my system's storage, leaving me with 40MB. Also, is it possible to change Google Play's download directory to SD after rooting?

Hi. According to your first question, you failed to install an application then it eats the phone's storage. In order to free it up again (because it happened also to mine, 30-40MB has been eaten), the easiest way is to perform a hard reset, but that step is unpleasant that you will install all apps again. Otherwise, you must root your phone to delete the dalvik-cache (this is the cache when you're installing an application. Failure to install an application will leave the files in that cache that will eat your phone's storage). To delete the dalvik-cache, you must be rooted and install Titanium Backup. There's a feature there to delete the dalvik-cache. In your 2nd question, I don't know if its possible to transfer apps to your sd card, but you can use Link2SD to partition your phone's memory (for example: taking portion of the space in your sd card to add in the system storage (Like if you have a 16GB sd card, you could get a 4GB space that you will add to phone's storage. 150MB + 4GB = 4.15GB if I'm not mistaken, and 16GB - 4GB = 12GB (remaining space in your sd card))). Just search on the internet on how to perform this. In addition, is the "executables" do you mean is the default apps on android like google+, gmail, mail, maps, etc? By default, it can't be freezed, move to internal memory, or uninstall, unless you are rooted and install an application like Titanium Backup to convert a system app (or the preloaded/default apps) to user app(which you can move to internal memory), freeze it so that it will not be used (not uninstalled), and to uninstall it if your want. But be careful to uninstall preloaded apps. Most of the apps must not be removed for system maintenance. Just search the android bloatwares in the internet. That bloatwares are safe to remove.

Hi, I have a question. So as you know you can move apps to the internal memory, but, as I hope you also know, only the data fles are moved and the "executable" files are not moved and still stay in the phone's system memory, each one of them eating up from few KBs to few MBs of precious space. Now, after installing a lot of games and making sure that every single one of them is moved to the internal memory, I have about 40MB left in the system memory, because of the un-moved "executables" (or whatever they're called). My question is: if I root my L3, will I be able to move those pesky files as well (with Link2SD for example)? It's very important that you understand that what I seek is freeing up the 150MB system memory. I don't want to extend the internal memory with SD card if the "executables" will still eat up my system memory, which will leave me in the same position. Thanks in advance.

It whines that it has low memory when it should just undo the install imo and I have to turn it off and on to undo it manually... I think I'm gonna root this joke of a smartphone, who the hell thought that putting 150MB of system memory is a good idea... even 300MB would've done the job, but not 150MB with ~50MB already filled, god...

Actually i have this phone right now and unfortunately it has a small system memory. i happen to root it safely and it was a sucess but im scared of risking it to upgraade it to and. 4.04 or cm9. i have maximized its full potential somehow by deleting its bloatwares or unused system apps it really increases my sysytem memory. the saad part of this phone is that u cant transfer apps to the external SD car. instead it transfer the apps to its internal SD card (1gb). so far i have 42 apps downloaded and installed in this phone. and i was able to convert my favorite apps to system apps. like go sms. instead of using the default messaging. once you have rooted this phone even if you format it or restpre to factpry settings it will remain to be rooted. and use link2sd app instead of other app transfer app. i was able to transfer facebook,twitter,instagram on my iinternal sdcard by link2sd Follow me on twitter @nixo0on ciao :))

This is a good looking basic smartphone. 800Mhz are not bad. Adreno 200 could be improved somehow. Background apps, autostarting apps, and unwanted preloaded apps all can be cleared once ROOTED!! The same with the apparent low ram while using it, by controlling your apps, once Rooted. And if available, using some good custom rom with tweaks can improve the performance of this little phone.. But... does anyone know of a certain working method to root this device? A method thats simple and working, please!! I haven't researched but I want to ask you people first!! You can't delete pre-loaded apps unless you are rooted. Even in some phones, by default, you can't remove or uninstall them unless you root your phone. My aunt doesn't have problems with this phone, though it lag sometimes when overused (also running many services in the background and application like pou). Why don't move apps into internal memory? Or why don't try to root it for full access?

Its a horrible phone. Don't even bother buying it. The system memory is terrible. I don't have space to load any more apps or update the few that I have despite having a goo sized memory card in. I can't delete the apps that came pre-loaded on the phone to make space for the apps I need, even though I don't use the pre-loaded apps. It randomly reboots itself usually when I need it the most. I've had it for just under a year now and I just about ready to throw it out the window.

To move it to the external memory you have to go settings, applications, then the top left (very left option) downloaded I think, then touch the app you wan to move then touch the 'move to external memory' I think then bang, all done! :)

Copy the downloaded file on the internal SD card of your phone. Now turn off your phone and boot your phone into recovery mode. Now to get in the Recovery Mode, download and install Rom Manager and launch it on your device. Now select Reboot into Recovery and wait for the device to reboot. Because sdcard in Optimus L3 is the internal memory. So moving apps to sdcard is moving apps in the internal memory. In Optimus L3, _ExternalSD is the external storage like your memory card. I don't know if App2SD can move apps to ExternalSD. Maybe you can try Link2SD?

Good features : 1) Touch is really good 2) Phone is fast. 3) Battery power is good. 4) Good andriod version compared to Samsung Galaxy Y 5) GPS works perfect. I also have the phone LG E400 and the first time i downloaded the viber to this phone It works. I think your not connected to the internet that why you cannot call or text through viber, the other factor is that the number your trying to call doesn't have a viber application and also not connected to the internet.

maybe your phone have alot of application running and using alot of your Phone RAM, try to uninstall the applications that you don't need. Before you uninstall the application you must choose clear data option below the uninstall button to free up your phone storage that been use by the application then you can now uninstall the application. Do this same process everytime you uninstall an application. After that you must turn off and on your cell phone.

Thought there are some confusions regarding the phone's memory: Phone's RAM is 384MB (301MB something available because of GPU). System memory is 160MB. Phone's ROM is 392MB if I'm not mistaken. Phone's internal memory is 1GB. RAM is used by running processes on an as-needed basis. System memory is the default storage when installing an application. Keeping an application in the system memory storage will prevent an application in an unused state when the memory is mounted to computer (used as USB Storage). Phone's ROM is the storage of the android system, its default applications are in there. Internal Memory is the secondary memory of android. You can save files in internal memory, and also to move applications in the internal memory. If an application is moved into internal memory, that application will become unused when the phone is mounted to USB Storage, but moving an application to internal memory can free up system memory. It is better to free the system memory more than internal memory. So move applications like games, editing software, etc. in the internal memory to free up system memory, or if you're rooted, you can move an application to an ExternalSD, or make an application as a system application (the application will still be used when phone is mounted via USB Storage), but cannot be moved or deleted unless you will change it to user application. Too broad to explain.

I have been using this phone for one and a half months. and my opinion is unfortunately, not good. The phone is great value for money. one of the cheapest android phones available in the market. The problems are; The phone is extremely slow Lack of internal memory (Cant even install Facebook) Cannot transfer some applications to SD card Touch is horrible (I had the screen replaced twice in 1 months period, and my local LG agents say its a known problem in the optimus range)Can someone pls look into this?? hi, i actually have this phone , it has a custom rom to android 4.0.4 (i am using it , but there's some bugs), yes you can play temple run 1 and 2 or gta 3 with this phone , it is far better than galaxy y , i am entirely satisfied by this phone , the major advantage it has is the attracting price , the major disadvantage it has is the screen which is enjoyable and bright but not meant for hd movies watching (you can play hd movies using mx player (free from play store)but the quality is the same as normal definition movies ), i recommend you to buy a galaxy ace if you have more money but i also recommend this phone as i didn't have any probleme with it , try buying a protection for the screen and the body as soon as possible to avoid breaking the phone if it fall from ur hands (touch phones are fragile)

Phone memory is different to RAM. Phone memory is the default storage when you install an application, while RAM is responsible for handling application operations, but it will be refreshed once you close an application or reboot your phone. When your RAM is low, you will experience lags. When your phone memory is low, then you might not send text messages. I wonder why you get that very low phone memory. It shouldn't be. I suggest you to move applications to internal memory (Settings>Applications>Manage Applications then choose an app then move to internal memory). You can almost move all except widgets and launchers. By default, some applications cannot be moved to internal memory like some games or cameras, but you forcely move it using the Android SDK Tool. Click the link for the procedure: If you haven't installed many apps, and your phone is getting low memory storage, maybe the dalvik-cache is getting high storage use. So far, LG doesn't released an update yet for this phone. No ICS or JB updates are available, maybe because of their newly released Optimus L3 II that comes up with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Chances are LG will not upgrade its android version, but I'm still looking forward that LG will make an ICS update for this. If you want a custom ROM, try the cyanogen mod.

This phone is great. It has a great on screen keybord for easy texting and for the price is very fast (so long as you don't play 3D games.) The sound quality of music can be a bit tiny but thats acceptable for a phone at this price. Also with it only having a 800Mhz processor its batteries last for days.

I have this phone ~about 4 months, and all i can say that, this phone are really not bad, u got 1gb internal memory, so u can got about 30 games, but if you install games like, dead trigger, nfs most wanted of course you cuold have less games. Phone is very fast ,never bugs,crashes, or lags. My Lg L3 is unroot, but i still can play games like dead trigger, yes it supports dead trigger (no laggs). Camera is not so good, battery works 2-3 days with music,games, internet. It's good on hand. In my opinion its really good phone. Thanks.

Now to disconnect a call press power button on top of the mobile and call will get disconnect. You should turn off your wi-fi, bluetooth, gps & internet and have them on only when you need them. Also try reducing brightness and back light time to conserve the batt. Mine stayed on for four days before getting to 24% batt n that includes up to 10 hours of cell radio play time. This phone has the best battery amongst the phones I have ever used.

If you want to restore it up to its state before, download the firmware version here: I thought E400's latest firmware version is v10J. I haven't known how to install it but I know KDZ Updater will do.

If your screen turns black as you make a call, it might be because of the sensitivity of the sensor at the top of the screen. If you have a screen protector, you might need to cut a bit of a it under the LG sign(above the screen)- worked for me. Good luck

Yup. If its white, then you are connected but you haven't received a connection until it turns green. I also experience it and I assume the problem is in the owner's wifi connection and not our phone. Because also in my aunt's laptop, it displayed connected but can't connect to internet.

It depends sometimes. If you have many photos/videos in your internal/sdcard, it will take some time. Me too using E405, but I don't experience it, even my aunt who is using E400. We have no problems. Maybe your phone is too overused and RAM is low enough to handle other applications including gallery. I suggest close unused apps and services to improve RAM for faster performance and loading.

You can't edit photos in this phone unless you download software editing applications. As far as I know, you can view PDF docs here, but if you will edit .docx document, you can't, unless you have an application that can edit .docx document like quickoffice.

If the phone has many apps installed, and/or if the phone has many services running in background (e.g. launchers, widgets, etc.), the phone cannot multitask, or even it may multitask, lagging occurs. I suggest take down unnecessary widgets, and also the running services in background. you may do it manually by going to settings>applications>running services. Don't worry, even if you stop all services, it will restart automatically (those that are needed to be run to keep the system running). If you want to freeze system apps, you will need to root. I suggest also if you're using a live wallpaper, take it down. Choose any steady wallpapers to prevent lagging. And also close applications, do not minimize only.

Hello Unnikrishnan B, Fortunately your problem isn't very big and has two solutions. First you can just partition your SD card and make a drive that will work as your default memory for apps. Hi! You can use camera apps in order to improve camera quality. This phone's default camera depends its quality on surroundings. If you have low light, expect poor quality (poor color right?), but if you have taken photos in a good light, you can say its 3.15MP. I'm using L3 E405 (3.2MP but not look like 3.2MP) with the same problem of you. So I suggest to download camera apps (the one I used is the Camera360). I love taking photos using this app as I can improve quality of the pictures.

move your applications to internal memory. go to settings>applications> then select an app>move to internal memory. If the button is disabled, you can forcely enable it using Android SDK Tools. Just google it. Note that widgets, launchers, lockers must not be moved into the internal memory or cannot be moved into the internal memory. If you want to move apps to SD Card (the said steps above, or even if you use Android SDK Tools and set the install location in the SD Card, you can only move apps in the internal memory), use Link2Sd (rooted android). I haven't tried it yet. You may google it. I'm using the upgraded version of this phone (E405) and its almost the same so don't worry.

i rooted my phone and unbrick it .. download the latest version of my firmware. from v10j aug2012 to v10j (oct-17-2012) and one of my major changes that i notice was the BATTERY!!! i can enjoy more of this phone. cause it last 2 days!!! and still have 25% remaining battery..... in normal use (1hour games , 1.5 hours of music , 1hour call , 17 hours of SMS) yeap im fun of texting XD! at my previous stock firmware version (v10j aug 2012) the phone only last only 1 and half day

Its true that you cannot move your apps to SD card because you can move only into its built in memory which is the 1GB internal memory.. but i think 1GB is enough for me because most apps in google play only sizes 25MB above or mostly below 25MB so i think you have lots and many apps before you full the 1GB right?

i have this phone by about a month now, i noticed that the battery doesn't last for too long...i listen to a lot of music and i text a lot... for some reasons,my battery power could last for 2 days using the default theme, then when i downloaded a theme and a GO launcher ex,it only last for a day... i also downloaded a battery saver app which i believe does not work so well... anybody knows how to make my battery life last longer? thanks

@YEAHH First, you have to "root" your device, so you can put software to external memory card(SD memory card) and get permission to do everything you want. Find solution on xda forum.

Switched from iPhone4 to LG Optimus L3. It does everything the same as long as I use a few light apps such as Outlook/Weatherzone/Youversion/BusstopSydney. Memory issue was annoying but after trial and error I found a solution: go to Settings>Applications>Storage>[select app]>Clear Data. This should do the job even though some menus do not immediately show the cleared up RAM. I am happy with this phone, I got it for AU$79 on prepay with a premium network. Keyboard is not as good as iPhone though and I don't bother taking videos or pictures. It's a fine phone. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars.

i am using both asha 311 and optimus L3. i think that both the phones are great. asha is better one for music,internet(facebook etc),handy,calling is so nice........ in the case of optimus L3 , it is a better android phone... personalizations are nice.... good video quality, camera is enough to me...... net speed is not bad...... thousands of apps are there...... so nice phone...... i love it.... thankzzz LG...... low budget smartphone..... go for it...

You cannot transfer apps to your sd card. Apps like app2sd won't even work. If your System memory becomes full, you have no choice but to only transfer it to the Internal Memory. SD card as storage for apps is impossible unless your phone is rooted (which then voids the warranty)
