LG Watch Sport - User Reviews

  • I would prefer samsung smartwatches but unfortunetly they have two big problem in their mind and reflect to product too 1-esim 2-Tizen. So there are only two good watch for android users (with sim slot) and this is one of them (other isHuawei watch 2). Lg sport is 1,2 mm ticker than Huawei 2 and lg does not have removable strap BUT LG has watch crown which can manage digital screen someting like samsung bezels it is very handy. If LG will make the watch tinner and add removable strap (band). It will be number one...

  • Just got mine, and used with 3 different Sim-cards, model W280A (AT&T), what need to be done is first - ensure they are fully unlocked(check with sellers/store where you have bought these) , then just open and insert sim-card - they will suggest to reboot - but not always, if no reboot request appeared- do it by your self, then go to settings->connectivity->cellular->enable + data enable... If you provider working in 3g/4g bands that that watch supports - you should see networks and signal/etc. I tested with next sim-cards: ATT (USA) - works in USA T-mobile (USA) - works in USA Partner (Israel) - works in USA(roaming) - will test later when get back to country.

  • Hi, I try this watch to use in Europe with my carrier Telekom (SK), but wont connect even with local SIM card or AT&T SIM card. Does anybody know, if there is any way to solve this? I have W280A model.

  • It's difference about supported Cellular Networks.

  • "what is different w280a to w281" The "A" models are generally AT&T specific to work with AT&T Bands The other is generally the International model with more generic bands suitable for most locations around the world

  • I'm wondering the same, does anybody knows?

  • what is different w280a to w281

  • That's so right! There is a market for this over here as well..

  • Still nowhere to buy in Europe ! Why is that ? You can only order in US and there is a waiting list, too for grabbing one . Maybe over 100 years we can find it in Europe ..... It's a shame for LG , Google...who's responsible for this ....shit.

  • THe LH urbane Watch 2LTE was perfect, this is a piece of sheet, regards

  • Thanks edwaine for the information and for the precious research. Do you know if in the LG Watch Sport W281 Variant its also Italian languages? know any person who have tested it in Europe?

  • LG Watch Sport W280A - AT&T Variant GSM 850/1900 MHz; LTE Bands 2/4/5 LG Watch Sport W280A - Verizon Variant LTE Bands 13/2/4/5

  • LG Watch Sport W281 Variant 2G - GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 3G - UMTS/HSDPA/HSPA+ 850(B5)/900(B8)/1900/2100(B21) 4G - LTE 800(B19)/900(B8)/1800(B3)/2600(B38, B41)

  • Is it a joke: 14.2mm thickness? It is x2 thicker as my two-year old pebble time round.

  • Would this work with any android or just LG phones?

  • It means the watches are not selling they stock piled a lot of hardware and just redesigning the watches with the same hardware(inside) they just can throw the electronics out.

  • You should call Trump. He will issue an executive order for faster development of smatwatches hahahahaaaa.

  • WHY are all the smartwatches the same spec? Is there some giant (illegal) collaboration going on to NOT out do each other? This is pathetic. WTF is going on. ALL the smart watch mfgrs are making the same (years old...tech) product. This needs to be investigated because it appears fraudulent (or are they just stupid, or thinking the end-users are ALL stupid?). This is just another dressed up nothing, waiting for some small incremental enhancements NOT.... take a leap frog into the next generation!

  • yeah if I was you i would keep the gear s3 frontier cause the lg sport watch you cannot remove the bracelet because they put antennas inside there. just like the urbane 2nd edition, so if you like changing the bracelet every now and then or want stainless steel bracelet instead of rubber then I would keep the frontier buddy

  • Just bought the S3 - wonder if i should be returning it for this... looking at the specs this one has everything i want but might be too big.

  • this is really cool. plan to grab one. sync to my health apps. love it for being so simple and sporty...
