Motorola Droid Turbo 2 - User Reviews

  • you have documented that this phone has an ir port. this is incorrect!! it has an 4 ir proximity sensors that detects gestures! i bought this phone based on false info from you. bad!

  • Its a good phone, but is a stove, heats like hell

  • am SAMUDEEN and am really enjoying turbo 2 ,is my first time of using it but one thing it got heat too much.

  • This is the worst phone I have ever used in my life.

  • I love this phone! Tons of features, rapid charge, inductive charge, AMOLED display. I have 2 of them.

  • It's a good phone .am enjoying it right now

  • Why please ??

  • use its own turbo charger for charging

  • The turbo 2 is really a strong phone in terms of intensive browsing and gaming it can also withstand hush military conditions👍👍

  • Had this phone since mid 2016. I have no reason to upgrade it and it gets used heavily for work, school, and play. Dropped many times, it survived.

  • Motorola Turbo 2..... whsy my mob don't charge and it will off even when the charging have 15% Or when i plug charger in.... it will show me 5% After 4 hours... also 5% bttry and won't charge What is the solution?

  • Check its sister Motorola Moto X Force

  • You'll get the "Charging Slowly" message when using a standard USB charger. Use a genuine Motorola "TurboPower" charger (supplies 2.1 amps, not the standard 1.0) and you'll see a "Turbo Charging" message.

  • I get "charging slowly" when using wireless charger. Any help?

  • It wud be the best phone on earth if it had Dual Sim

  • You can still find a Turbo 2 brand new in the packaging on Ebay for about $180-$200

  • I have had this phone for 3 years now. I almost wish I could find a good reason to replace it. Battery life is still great, call quality is acceptable, Google maps get me where I need to go. The Pixel looks inviting but I think I will stick with Motorola. This is my 3rd and never disappointed.

  • i used this phone since 1 year ago. i think this is perfact smart phone. i really love this phone.i suggest anyone to purchase this phone because i think this is perfact phone..

  • Did you lose calls, too? Mine started breaking up and dropping calls about then. Now it will only load header info on emails. I really don't want to spend all that money on another phone.

  • Agreed.

  • One of the best phone i have ever used. Still with me. Battery timing is awesome

  • Negative. Mine has had extremely good battery life. iPhone users are constantly looking for power!

  • Power + VOL DOWN for Screen Shot

  • this phone has the worst battery life ever the iphones are much better for the battery life

  • It's not a button it's a combination of power+volume down

  • I can't find the screen shot

  • I just got a new phone myself. Ended up going with the Google Pixel 2 XL. Feels very similar to the droid 2 turbo. When I got that phone I loved it. But they have very strange issue with their so-called insane battery. It's like what ever update they pushed out, it caused some catastrophic issues with the performance of the device, and crazy overheating, and sudden lockups / reboots out of seemingly nowhere. I think they were probably doing what samsung & apple got caught doing which is related to intentionally sabotaging their own product line to get people to become upset with their device to the point of upgrading.

  • Love the phone but geez Motorola you need to get more than 1 year of life on a battery. My phone is 15 months old. The battery runs down within 4 hours to shutdown. Plus it will reboot at times with 30/40/50 % of battery left. The phone industry really needs to start having replaceable batteries. Would you buy a laptop that cannot have a replaceable battery? Some of the new phones cost $1000 US. Again would you buy a $1000 stove/refrigerator/microwave/dishwasher that would need to be replaced in 2 years. Don't think so. The phone industry is just stealing our money

  • Did they intentionally brick their phone to force an upgrade? I loved my Droid Turbo 2, until I the last update. Now my phone losses connection with the network, and phone dies when battery reads 50% sometimes when it reads 70%. It worked fine until the update, and this update that ruined my phone is the last one they are pushing. I can't help but think this was intentional. Anyone else would push another update, to fix the problems their last update caused, not Motorola evidently. Samsung it is from now on I guess.

  • the cpu has thermal heat issues

  • Great phone overall. But if you can afford, get the z force. It has a much better camera. My droid turbo 2 has been run over by car a couple of times, dropped from roof, got between the car door etc and it's still almost perfect, bluetooth and wifi do not work anymore and the screen has stripes, but i have never ever seen a phone this strong, god damn. Never overheats, battery lasts forever and it actually can be used in the rain quite safely.

  • No I am using Motorola from start these are very good.still using moto g4 .with zero problems.

  • It heats whenever I calls and chat with it. It seems all Motorola phones the same problem

  • Your phones was problematic! Not all the phones are good bro.

  • Most of the Motorola smartphones have same issues, especially microphone (mouth piece) died day by day. It is difficult to hear call from Motorola phone users. Else the Motorola phones are durable and updated.

  • Purchased two of the Motorola Droid Turbo 2’s, and found the handsets to be excellent aggravation generators. Since day one, both devices were showing indicators of being problematic. When talking on the phones, we were getting feedback from the people we were calling that it sounded like “You are in the bottom of a well...” Or asked, “Do you have me on speaker phone? If so, please stand closer to the phone.” This even devolved into situations where we could hear them, and they could not hear us—even If we pressed the number keys. The signal strength, even in areas of complete coverage, were always poor... The phones oscillated between 3G and 4G trying to lock onto a signal. Even WiFi was a spotty adventure. Again, no matter how strong the network was, it was constantly a poor connection. The “Indirect Sales” store that bore a Verizon name, did not offer a solution, other than to do a “Factory Reset.” We did this on three separate visits, within a week of getting the phones. At that same time, we were making out of town trips to find a house, purchase it, and move... We dealt with the aggravation for the past eleven months, as we went about our lives—watching the problems with the phones grow. Applications open without prompting, applications close while we are using them, or just freeze up completely. Incoming phone calls will have the handsets ring, but the device will not permit you to answer it. The screen remains black and unresponsive, as it continues to ring. In short, if you are considering this phone for you or your family, be forewarned that it will disappoint you on epic levels. Truly a shame, as Motorola used to be a quality product.

  • Todd, It's a great phone for the contractor in the construction business. If you're a big fatty lumpkin sitting at a desk in the A/C all day long you have that paper weight luxury but those of us out here busting our humps to earn our keep like the Droid Turbo 2 on the job site. I was installing a hardwood floor the other day and dropped my iPhone on the lady's tile, the screen shattered. Not with the Droid Turbo 2.... Just as Stan Grossman, he'll tell ya! Now.... where is Pancake's house? I'm fuckin' hungry now ya know.

  • It is by far the absolute worst phone I have ever owned. It may be ok for personal use, but for business it is only useful as a pretty paperweight. I owned a Motorola phone back in the early 2000s. It was garbage, I would have thought that they would be better now. I will never purchase another Motorola device...ever.

  • Have mine two years now, after a charge port repair which was fixed a few states over its still the best phone ever made by Motorola...

  • My Droid 2 battery lasts just as advertised. While everyone around me is always scrambling to charge their phones, mine is always charges and even when I use it regularly, it lasts around 24 hours. Most of the things you described are settings you can change and it seems to me like you did not take the time to learn the phone. A 5 minute google search tells you what most people think one would want to change when they get the phone. The only issue I have had, was the butt dial, because I do not lock my phone. And if I leave it on the screen with the latest numbers dialed, of course it will dial someone when it is touched. Glad you got a new phone but it is 100% incorrect to state that this is a bad phone.Quite literally the best phone I have owned to date.

  • That is not common with the Droid 2 phone, so I feel your anger is very misplaced. I am going by what you wrote only, but I have a question, did you keep using the original cord with the 2nd 2 phones? Or did you use the new cords? Because, the behavior you are describing is very commonly a damaged cord that is shorting out the charging board components. If that is not the case and you were using the new cord and plug every time, then sounds like they had a bad batch of phones. Cause honestly, the droid 2 is the best phone I have ever owned. It had one issue with me not getting my text messages from certain people but that was easily fixed with a phone reset (it is good to do a phone reset ever 6 months anyway, to keep the phone at peak performance.)

  • yes it does.. you just need to do that by placing your music the ringtone folder in "files app"

  • X4 designed by lenovo. Not upto the mark like Google designed Moto X force.! Go for other brand if you want satisfaction.

  • YES

  • Does it support and allow personal ring tone facility

  • interesting comment am in Nigeria and I need a site where i can buy Moto X4 any idea please

  • Thank you for the validation, and I hope you get to upgrade your phone very soon!

  • Have it for 2 years now. I am looking to buy another one if i'll find a new one at a good price. Battery never lets you down with an average of 35-48 h giving it a good use.

  • Most powerful Speaker output on a phone I've ever seen. Sluggish performance. Can't handle additional applications being loaded without performance issues.

  • Allison, you are 100% correct. I've had the same problems and this morning it shutdown and I missed my alarm. Highly pissed

  • Sure, only be aware of the green line problem. It happens from time to time because of hardware design. For some people it has become permanent. Mine hasn't, just have to be careful of pressuring the bottom right corner. This is also happening to some other phones. There maybe a few spots or some spot where the inner case or microchip is too close to the display causing it to make a or some green line. I've owned mine for 2 years now. Got it second week it came out from Verizon store. Speakers are really nice!! Other questions please keep replying or posting.

  • I want to buy a moto droid turbo 2, and what do you recommend? Has a number of minuses in this mobile?

  • no because it can't support Oreo 8.0 ,if u wanted to upgrade your phone firstly you should break turbo2 boatloader then either it upgrade or not...

  • I bought (turbo 2) 6 months before. Now I'm facing a problem, when I play any video the sound of the speaker get very slow after a few seconds I have changed the speaker but still I'm facing the same issue somebody plz guide about that.

  • My Droid Turbo 2 is beyond horrible. Like someone else mentioned, approaching the 2 year mark, it's a disaster. The 2 year mark is April, it'll never make it. Going to switch to iPhone, this is my last Droid.

  • Got new out of the gate. At the 1.6 mark it became very glitchy, slow, turning off for no apparent reason. It freezes etc, etc. I've always liked the droids. It is durable I will give them that. Personally I think it's by design that approximately at the 2 year mark they stop working so we'll. After all it's about paid off and you qualify for an upgrade (Verizon) hmmmm can't be a coincidence.

  • I don't know why people are discrediting this fabulous smart phone. It's one of a kind. Its simply amazing. Quality camera, strong battery, ....you name it.Please start praising Motorola for a good job done

  • A) You don't know how to spell "malarkey," and B) I don't give a rat's ass what you think. About anything. Thanks for participating.

  • I don't know what problems people are talking about but its other than yellowish white color there is not a single issue i had in last 2 years. And every phone slows down with time, even iphones do so its not an issue. Manufacturers code there software i a way that slows down device with time or something like that.

  • It sounds like a bunch of mularkey .

  • Absolutely the worst smartphone ever. In less than a 2-year Verizon contract, I had THREE of these, and they all failed. I should say I'm not hard on my phones, and I have never had problems like this before. I just loved the customizable colors and other options; what a mistake. Phone #1: stopped charging at 10 months. Just wouldn't recognize the charger, at all, despite being immaculately clean and multiple chargers/cords tested. Still under warranty, so Verizon replaced it. Imagine my frustration when Phone #2 did the EXACT SAME THING at only 4 months in! This time, I called Motorola and they replaced it. Phone #3: By 8 months in, the battery drain was so rapid I couldn't go anywhere without a charger. I had the battery replaced for $60. At 9 months, with a new battery, it spontaneously shut off all the time; usually re-starting involved multiple, multiple attempts. I essentially couldn't use the phone unless it was charging, and that was getting fritzy. This phone honestly made me miss having a landline. I will never, ever even consider purchasing a Motorola/Lenovo product again; frankly I wouldn't take one if you paid me. Forewarned is fairwarned; tell anyone you know to stay the hell away from Motorola. On a happier note, the Samsung Galaxy 8 I replaced my Turd Turbo 2 with is an absolute masterpiece of both style and function. Samsung seems to be easily setting the industry standard for innovation, while Motorola is providing consumers with a phone I wouldn't wipe my ass with.

  • Got mine first week of release in Nov. 2015 release. Speakers are the best smarthphone speakers I ever had. Phone itself is still quite fast even though slowing down with each android os upgrade. 21 MP Camera is good but doesn't adjust well by itself when in bright or dark areas, gotta do it manually or with flash on. I also have the green line thing, mines small like 1 mm wide and have had it happening over a year now. I believe it is a bad hardware design issue, across many other phones too. Something to do with the chip underneath screen and being to close to the screen. Overall, it is still a good phone. Just not good if your still paying something close to 700 usd for a 2 year old design and hardware.

  • Got this phone new. Was only at Verizon or 3 months so i wouldn't lose the promo price. Went to straight talk after. At first the phone was excellent. Very long battery life with heavy use. Camera is ok. Don't expect galaxy/iphone level. After about 1.5 years I started to have issues...pretty much after update to 6.0 or 7.0 it became very slow and glitchy. Got fed up after reading suggestions like clear cache and what not but didn't work and I eventually wiped the phone which helped for the most part. Fast charge stopped working. Didn't buy another charger to see if that was the reason. Phone becomes very laggy when charging. Randomly turns off when battery is at 20% or less. Still will last me 12-15 hours of good use. Talking is still clear and have no problems with people hearing me. Never used a case, just screen protector. The bezel has marks and wear but screen is still unscathed. Want to upgrade phones but at same time this phone still does what I use it for. Was thinking s8 since it is literally same size as this phone despite a bigger screen. Not sure if s7 is much of an upgrade.

  • Between the turbo 2 and the turbo 1... Performance wise, with Antutu 3d benchmarking, my turbo 1's (all 3) score right at about 90, 000, sometimes as low as 88.500. My turbo 2 scores at about 83, 000 to 84,000 with all verizon bloat apps disabled (at least the ones they let you disable) With Passmark performance test, my turbo 2 scores at about 8800 to 8900, same conditions with bloat apps disabled. My turbo 1's score from 6300 to 7200. the turbo 2 is of course bootloader locked, and unrootable. Verizon will always have control of your phone, even if it is carrier unlocked and you use a different carrier (which i do- cricket). The turbo 1's can be bootloader unlocked, thanks to the efforts of some very bright minds at the xda development community, for 25 bucks. Totally worth it. All my turbo 1's are bootloader unlocked and as a result I run the latest android software... these phones are good enough that they are still being maintained and actively developed by the community. I can install any operating system I want, at any performance/battery life compromise ratio I want. I have kicked verizon off of my phones forever- and I am in complete control of the phones that I bought with my money. The turbo 1's I mean. Speaking of battery, 3900 mA for the turbo 1 and 3760, or sometimes 3560 for the turbo 2. Difference of about half a day, for me. The turbo 2 has an sd card slot, and a screen that won't shatter on a drop, typically (though the screen display suffers a bit because its outer layer is plastic... scratches). These are the 2 advantages over the turbo 1. In all other possible ways, including a superior design regards longevity of use, the turbo 1 wins. This was the last phone built by motorola while they were owned by google, before lenovo took control. The turbo 1 is a masterpiece, the turbo 2 is a potential great, but ultimately a big disappointment due mostly to the locked bootloader. Thus, the development community has no opportunity to correct mistakes built into the phones programming. Too bad, a lot of potential wasted. That is all, and good day to you

  • The screen is yellow-ish (thanks to early shatterproof technology), if you already dissapointed having an amoled phone because of the white color isnt as great as ips one, then this damn phone isnt for you. I actually love amoled screen but, this phone's screen is not really my type. after a year, while i am open facebook from my dt2, the screen suddenly went off, after it went on again, there is weird green line occupied at 10 percent of my dt 2's screen, moreover the screen goes on and off randomly that make my phone literally unusable (i never dropped it nor drown it, its just completely random). I love motorola, i love amoled, but i fucking hate this fucking piece of shit product. Even my 2013 moto x still works better while this goddamn 2015 phone has already broken like a cheap shit.

  • This is the worst piece of technology I've ever owned. The camera spontaneously takes 100 pictures if you touch the side of the phone. The screen darkens by itself. The volume adjusts by itself. Active links do not display in e-mails or apps. Battery life is terrible. This phone is a curse. No one can hear me on calls. I can't hear anyone on calls because of feedback. Avoid this phone at all costs. I am trading it and taking a 300 dollar loss because it is unusable for more reasons than I have detailed.

  • It is only phone I ever had where phone contacts disappeared over time. I called phone carrier. Other people complained about that same issue. Also I could never get my contacts to backup in over a year.

  • I have had a Motorola Droid turbo 2 for about two years. Because it is on a plan that purchases the phone throughout the plan. In my experience with this phone, it is the worst phone availability out there! After a year the phones house charger,(Verizon employee said to use only that charger on the phone), went to shit and quit charging. The phone itself is crap, calling people without dialing or butt dialing accidently. It doesn't shut itself off after hanging up, hence people on. The other end can still hear you, it turns it's sound down by itself, so you miss important calls, it turns the flashlight on without you knowing it and it's battery is the worst. I mean it drains within a couple hours with no apps open. It loses your conversation after 4 minutes. I truely tell you my husband bought me this phone no more than two years ago, because he is still paying for it, and it's the biggest piece of shit I have every owned.!!!!! I have stayed with it this long because it was a gift from my husband that he was very proud to give me. There is plenty wrong with this phone but I think you got the just of it. Unless you got a grand to waste , stay away from this phone. BTW, if they are talking you into financing a bundle like they did my happy-go-lucky husband, run run fast. The shit is just that ,shit. You've been warned, once ya learn ,twice ya burn.

  • Worst phone ever!!! My first one the charge port quit working. My second one dies sometimes at 50% sometimes at 30%. And god forbid I go anywhere without my cord because the battery dies so fast!!! If I'm even just texting on it it's gone. Can't believe I payed this much money for such a piece of crap!!

  • There's a protruding black border around the screen which can be annoying. The card slot also requires a pin or needle to open. Nonetheless, this is a great phone for the price.

  • First off, to make sure that its not Carrier network issue, I recommend that you try a different SIM card from a different network carrier on the phone ( you can try a friend's if any). Because this issue can go two ways; either phone or mobile network issue.

  • swipe down on the phone screen, tap the USB connection bar and select transfer data

  • how we connect motorola turbo 2 with laptop?? there is no any notification arrive when we connect it with laptop through data cable

  • I just got my phone refurbished and my largest problem with it and is people tell me that they can't either hear me or they can't understand me because my phone and voice breaks up and I don't know how to get that cleared up. Is it the phone itself because it's refurbished and who would I contact about that

  • I got my Motorola. Turbo 2 refurbished. White it works good but I didn't. Get the screen. Protector with it or the right charger.. It was a zte charger.

  • why Droid turbo 2 will not Receive Oreo?

  • No.

  • Droid turbo 2 will receive Oreo?

  • Droid turbo 2 is great phone

  • Love the Turbo 2 bought mine 2 years ago and it still runs great . By the looks of all the bad reviews I must be the only one to get a good phone . My guess is when I bought my phone I purchased a INCIPIO case and a screen protector . I also do regular software and hardware maintenance . Never had the phone freeze and I guess since I live in a very large city the connection and call reception never been an issue . The battery life is still top notch as I use both a wireless charger and Motorola's fast charger and that is after 2 years with the same phone . My other guess is that most of the bad reviews did not buy a phone case and failed to do maintenance of the software and hardware . Who buys a $700 smartphone and fails to protect it and never preforms maintenance . The ones with bad reviews are the ones that did !!

  • I must be the only one to get a good turbo 2 . My phone is just about 2 years old and it has never given my any issues . I guess what makes my phone work great is that for one I got an incipio case and a screen protector with my phone . The battery still has a good life and I even charge it on both wireless charging pad and the Motorola fast charger . The other thing that I do is I make sure to keep the phone running smooth is to run a health check and follow the steps and clear the cache on the hard drive . I would love to see how many people who have had problems with the Droid turbo 2 had a phone case to protect it from shock . My guess is that those people did not buy a phone case . Come on to buy a $700 smartphone and be to cheap to protect it and not perform regular software and hardware maintenance is just beyond understanding .

  • my Motorola Droid 2 keeps locking up on me, then I have to reboot the phone it doesn't recognize by SD card. I have to reboot again and takes forever to shut down and it is good for a little while. Then it starts all over. JUNK!!!

  • Please don't buy verzon motorola. The best orginal motorola is motorola moto m.

  • Junk. Bad reception, bad connectivity. I'm on my third one as Verizon will only replace with like and won't fix the problems.

  • Junk. Bad reception, bad connectivity. I'm on my third one as Verizon will only replace with like and won't fix the problems.

  • Worst phone ever. It worked perfectly for 1 month then problems started. Phone quickly started to lose charge giving barely 2h on screen use. It started to get hot even with games as angry birds. Display started to fade Many more problems

  • I loved my turbo 1 then it broke so insurance sent me a 2 as the other was oos. I HATE DROID 2!!

  • It says "I'm 16" I have a phone that is older than you are and it still works great. Perhaps "electronic texter thingy reviewer" is not going to be a good career choice. Stay in school and get off of your phone.

  • Which is better droid turbo 1 ya turbo 2 I think droid turbo 1 is better than droid turbo 2 Really plz help me and reply

  • I had the same issue. They will no longer transfer anything in store. The problem is that Verizon has gotten much too big and they feel they no longer have to provide good customer service. They feel that they have everyone by the seeds now and they will continually come crawling back forever. I have the turbo 2 and it is absolutely garbage. I'm on my third one right now and it's malfunctioning in less than a month. As soon as this phone is paid off I'm switching to straight talk.

  • This phone is absolute trash. Right now, a flip phone seems better. First, this is my third one of these in just over a year. The first one would no longer charge. No matter what I did the port would not connect to a charger at the bottom. It also developed a strange green line across the screen. Verizon was happy to replace it for free with a repaired model. The second one malfunctioned within a couple months. It got a ton of the same green lines across the screen and some were bright White. Some were so wide they interfered with even being able to read text on the screen. They were up to 1/4" wide. This third replacement now has one Green Dot on the screen that forms lines out to the sides when you touch the dot. The phone itself has terrible service capabilities. When other people are around me with Verizon service this phone will be at limited service with 3G and theirs will be full service with 4G. The battery it's also nearly useless. It lasts a few hours maximum if you need to use it for something. This phone is less than one month old and it's already useless and malfunctioning. This showed me exactly what Motorola is right now. Absolutely unfettered garbage. I would feel bad giving this phone to my worst enemy. I will never buy another Motorola product and the fact that Verizon pushes this garbage the way it does says a lot about their corporation. Stay far far away from Motorola trash. It's nothing more than cheap garbage.

  • Turbo 2 is a damn joke. Worst phone I've ever had. I prefer a flip phone and I'm 16. What's that say

  • I bought a turbo 2 about a week ago, It's a good phone, but sometimes it gets kinda hanged and lags regularly, when I restart the phone, things get better then. Can anybody tell me what can be done for this?

  • Turbo2 is worst than turbo1 Droid Phones battery drain problem,Movie Lagging, Slow apps, I am fade up of this phone

  • I have purchased Motorola phones now for the last 15 years. My first Droid 6 years ago. The battery life on the next one, the Droid Turbo 1 was incredible. I traded for the newest Droid around a year ago. This is the worst smartphone I have ever had the frustration to use. Bluetooth wont work at all. The battery last about 4 or 5 hours max. I couldn't believe how bad this phone was. Then I looked up the company and find out, Motorola sold to the Chinese company Lenovo a in between my purchases. Never a gain.

  • Thanks my was doing the same thing fixed like new thank you very much

  • Zuk z1 comparison droid turbo 2 which is the still good if any have experience plz plz plz

  • The volume buttons are positioned at the wrong place on this phone. Most times when I pick it up my fingers press the reduce volume button that causes it to go to mute (even past vibrate). Have missed clients calls and texts that I find out happened hours earlier.

  • Turn off the noise reduction in the phone settings, help A LITTLE... Speakerphone when it acts up.

  • As a technician I rely on my phone to view schematics, stay charged, and be reliable. It fails at all of these. First they preload a lot of bloatware onto the phone you cannot disable without a root which is not available on the T-II. The battery life is a JOKE. Try browsing for an hour or two: DEAD. Bluetooth? As unreliable as you could ever fear, drops randomly. The actual operation? TERRIBLE. The light sensor for face proximity glitches constantly causing the phone to dim to black while you're looking at something on the screen. The OS crashes RANDOMLY. The lock button has absolute give on the bottom half (a know and uncorrected issue). The phone is nothing short of trash, you'd expect this from a knock-off, but not from a namebrand. I loved my Razr, but those days are GONE. Don't let the price hook you this phone is not reliable at all.

  • This is a capable, affordable, phone with amazing battery life, great storage options. I absolutely loved the phone and as it's no longer the flagship model I got it at an amazing price. The screen is basically bulletproof, which is great for someone who shattered their last phone. The camera takes great pictures, certainly acceptable for day to day use. As a teenager who is constantly on their phone, I don't have any real issues with the battery life despite it being an older phone with some mileage. HOWEVER, this phone has a fatal flaw, due to either a design oversight or a manufacturing defect, the display will get colored lines in the display. An annoying intrusion that Motorola is aware of, but refuses to fix.

  • What about charging ?

  • why this cell support WiFi connection from long distance.i face this hurdle.

  • please go to settings enter to display you'll see the Font size just set it for default

  • After upgradation in Nougat I was taking a few photos and I tried to switch to the front facing camera and it wouldn't change. The button was there but it would just take a picture instead of switching cameras. Then I tried taking a video, same thing, it would take a picture as if I was just pressing the screen. When I switched the display size back to normal, it would work properly.

  • Anonymous, buy samsung s8,or note 7,the biggest shit that a human hand has made! To remind you...note 7 is the only phone that has been withdrawn from sale, ever! Youtube is full of video clips about defective s6, s7... Don't spit on Moto Family...

  • Turbo1 is better than turbo2?

  • it's a nice phone but mine seem not to take any memory sim card can someone help

  • go and find Amazon charger

  • I'm using this phone for long. Always on top of its job. Suddenly my turbo charger got mission and I search for one to buy but didn't acquire one. Any help

  • Where did you bought it from?

  • Nice phone. I just bought it from Pakistan. I cost me 159 $

  • this phone it's very dynamic processor is parfect camera its wonderful Battery is Awesome

  • All of my smartphones have been a Motorola. It all began with the Citrus.Never had one complaint about any until now.My Droid Turbo 2 will only work on speaker. No one can hear me but I can hear them. It is very frustrating to walk around in public and quite embarasing. i have no way to prove this one but I believe it also uses data on its own. I will give Motorola another chance as we all have bad days.

  • Im from Ghana too. Can you please tell me where you got your device? And was it sealed in a box?

  • Shitty phone. Freezes constantly causing me to reboot the thing. Bluetooth won't connect. Battery not as good as advertised. My last turbo ( the previous version) was great so I thought the turbo 2 would be even better. I was wrong. Can't wait to get rid of this dog. Goodbye Moto.

  • When I first got my phone I loved it the battery would lost forever and it would charge super fast. I had to send it back once because this green line appeared for no reason it would fade in and out till it just wouldn't go away. Now about a year into the phone the battery dies fast I even deleted a bunch of stuff I felt like I could do without finally found out it was my step counter that was draining the battery so got rid of it and the battery seems to last longer. But now the problem is I have to constantly try to angle my phone a certain way just to charge. I have to constantly try different chargers they'll work for a day or two but then they no longer work to charge the phone. it's frustrating when you pay over 500 for a phone just so a year later you can start having all kinds of problems with it. As soon as I pay it off I'm definitely going back to Samsung.

  • I have had to replace this device twice due to a malfunctioning charging port. Very disappointed. Store will not replace at point - you must have a new one shipped. THEN, they require a signature, so its a wait around all day issue,. Finally, you have to reinstall everything to put your phoneback to the way it was. This is terribly inconvenient - and Verizon doesn't feel it has to do anything other than replace the phone. My time is worth something, isn't it?

  • Does ear piece acts as loud speaker as like Moto x pure ?

  • This is my first Motorola and Im really thankful with the experience, is the perfect phone because you can drop it and nothing is going to happened; the battery is really good and the camera mm not to much but is enough if you want a really good phone with excellent features.

  • I have same issue

  • Motorola lied about battery life. Can't keep phone charged long enough to do my job. Losing money. Will NEVER buy another Motorola phone EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

  • Well I just got mine yesterday 13,06,17. I have used the droid turbo 1 for a year now and felt the right update is the Turbo 2 . so far so good for now. am loving the experience, battery life is impressive. the built quality of the phone is top notch, far better then those overpriced (opps it has a nice logo)kinda phones. it's must get phone in 2017 though it came out in 2015. even if it cost $1000 get it. #FromAccra #Ghana #WestAfrica

  • You kept the phone!? Why didn't you get it back to the owner?

  • I have always loved Droid, never had a major problem with any of the phones. This one has not been as impressive as the Turbo 1, definitely not worth the price. The screen is great, truly tough to the max, but after just 6 months one of my lower front facing speakers has blown as well as the telephone speaker. The battery doesn't hold charge well at all anymore, and the port has to be angled just right to charge it. The camera is just sad compared to other flagship phones of the time. It's still a very fast phone though. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be getting another Droid, at least not until they improve greatly.

  • When purchased in 2016 via Big Red, it was a capable phone. Back then it had a better than average camera capabilities and it's stock dialer and contacts apps are great. However, 11 months into ownership, I noticed that the device was running though battery at a faster pace than usual. As I use it extensively in the car, I purchased a higher amp car charger. At month 13, the device refused to charge up or hold a charge. Being an advanced Android user, I can attest to the device as not having been compromised by any type of malware or a battery-sucking app. Verizon Wireless store personnel were unhelpful in getting the issue resolved, as they were unfamiliar with troubleshooting this type of issue. Their in-store device health check software passed the device, including the battery. Putting the device on a quick charge connection resulted in the device not recognizing the charger type. There is no case on the phone so the difference between wired and wireless charging should not be affected at all. I had to contact Lenovo support overseas to see if they could solve the issue. Level 2 support did not have any ideas beyond what had been tied thus far, including a factory reset. Since the phone was out of warranty, I was basically looking at spending what the phone is worth to swap it out with another Turbo 2. This reminded me of a time when my mother's Cadillac was three days out of its factory warranty, while she was on a road trip, the passanger window fell into the door gap and the antenna would not go up and down. In her case, the dealer fixed everything for free, as she had been a long time customer. What I received from Verizon and Lenovo for having been with them (formerly Motorola) for over 12 years was not being afforded the courtesy of a reach around. I have had nothing but Motorola phones since back to the first Razr. The fact that the factory reset performed by the store wasn't necessary and resulted in me losing some important files (I wasn't thinking at the time), and the fact that onsite support is pretty clueless, and that Lenovo doesn't stand by their products, is what prompted me to go to Pink with a Samsung S7 Edge. Clearly this phone is far superior to the Turbo 2, the plan I signed up for is a fraction of what I was getting at Red, and it's unlimited everything. I qualified for Business Class too, which means I now have a better service venue through which to get issues resolved than what the little people must endure. I've had other issues with Red in their stores before, as well as definitely apparent other outraged customers, whereas my dealings with Pink have been the complete opposite. I liked the experience so much that I combined our family's plans all under mine and it amounts to a fraction of the cost more than what it was worth me flying solo at Red. So, not only comparing the Turbo 2, but all other Droid branded phones under Red's roof, I feel everything should be compared to other carrier's offerings and plans as well. Considering what Red charges to finance the Turbo 2 against the S7E (a few bucks less per month), the cost of comparable plans and the customer service offered should all be worked into the final decision of whether to go with any Droid branded phone. You might want to take into account that the Droids can't be rooted, whereas the S series can, and not to mention, the Droid can't be taken to other carriers for a bring your own device switch (in the USA).

  • Software Version: 25.201.6.kinzie_verizon.verizon.en.US The current software update gives you the most up to date Android® security patches on your device, the current security patches is may 1st 2017. enjoy

  • You just had bad luck I found one on wed the side of the road a biker dropped this phone plays all my high end game lots of space n almost indestructible I'm very pleased...

  • DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bought it, was good for month 1, month 2-4: the charger wouldn't work properly to the point that no angle would give it a charge, month 5: started using a wireless charger that I WAS FORCED TO BUY (THEY PROBABLY KNEW THE PORT WOULD SNAP IN HALF!), month 6-present: phone battery lasts less and less as the wireless charger over heats the battery more and more. I am not a fan of Apple, but this experience makes me want to throw my phone out the window, smash it, and buy a cheap iPhone 4 or 6. My phone carrier salesperson *coughverizoncough* even said this would last a long time even if I was on it constantly...

  • Hell no

  • This phone has serious issues. bought 2, one for business and one for personal. personal has issues with phone, clearly hardware, hundreds of fine lines and distortion across the screen and pictures on a random basis. Business one will not power off, cannot turn on wifi, one screen says airplane mode is on when it's off. Will NOT buy another of these.

  • Mine did the same, I had to factory reset, it helped out a lot

  • i am going to buy droid turbo 2 tomorrow.tell me wether I upgrade the device or not

  • Go for it, using it since a year, its one of the best phone, excellent backup!

  • Considering droid turbo 2 for purchase. Please suggest? I need a phone with good battery life and camera both front and back. Thankyou.

  • This phone has a great camera. However, my phone had a poor microphone in the handset and poor audio on calls. The screen is not as clear as the phone that replaced it an LG V20. I had the phone replaced once, and the new phone had all the same defects. Will not buy another Lenovo product.

  • This is a horrible phone for the reason that the first one I had, green line on the screen, the second brand new out of the box turned on and off until it died, the third one I had was when I noticed the Bluetooth and calling issue and after asking and being told I could switch phones I was told to buy out my contract or pay $99. Why would I pay extra for a product that is not working properly? So I sent the phone back hoping for working Bluetooth and NOPE it's software and tech support said it has to be an app on the phone causing the issue, which from all the complaining is a lie. So I've been stuck a phone that constantly cuts in and out of Bluetooth and calling people is just a struggle because no one can clearly hear me. I take very good care of electronics and like I said after 4 phones and no help I'm basically paying $700 plus insurance for a half working device. Super annoying but I suppose this is how the world works.

  • Picked it some months ago. People complaining and all ignore them. Treat your mobile carefully and this mobile rocks. Great camera speed nugat update perfectly charging and everything is smoooooooth. Screen on time i get is 6hours to 430 hours. Amazing mobile. And shatter proof is a win win. Make sure u study dt2 weaknesses. Turbo charger will kill your battery as it heats the battery. Use Turbo charger at minimum or emergency. I am using normal nokia Samsung chargers and it takes time to charge but it runs smooth with great battery timings. There is a green line issue in screen also iv heard. Avoid squeezig the mobile screen also. Mobile is GREAT.

  • The turbo 2droid is junk! Mine is a year and a half old. Shuts off for no reason and nobody will stand behind the product. I still owe $185 on the thing and I have to pay it.. Some company that suggest you get insurance on there product.... Would you buy somthing that suggests you pay extra for insurance? I wouldn't and now there product fails and they don't care.

  • What about the turbo charge? Has that stopped working for you? After last update mine totally stopped working and Motorola or Verizon won't take responsibility. Now it takes 8 hours just to charge to 92%.

  • I hate this phone! It worked really good until last update. With the last update the turbo charge stopped working. I plug my phone in when I go to bed and 8 hours later it still isn't at full charge. In fact, once it reaches 92% it stops. Don't even try to use the phone while it's plugged in because that just drains the battery. I've sone a favor reset, cleared the cache....and nothing. The beat part is, this happened right after my one year was up so Motorola won't do anything! Keep up the good work, Motorola!

  • Bought this phone new a year and a half ago. Works like new. Never had a single problem with it. I often get 3 days out of the battery. Couldn't imagine having a camera with less than 21MP. This is my first smart phone. So glad I waited. I am a software developer and know how to keep a device working well. Long live the Droid Turbo 2 and Windows 10!!

  • Thanks alot brother.

  • You have "moto" apps in menu...and the rest is easy...

  • How to turn off the active display on this phone kindly guide.

  • My vibrate mode cuts in and out. Does this happen to you too?

  • My Droid Turbo 2 Max worked great until Verizon update to 7.0. After the update my Bluetooth won't stay connected, my WiFi keeps turning off and I can not click on links in e-mails to follow to the websites. Verizon says they can't do anything about that. Well I can, I'll be taking my multi phone account to another carrier and dumping this Droid!

  • I am on my third Droid Turbo 2 and it just quit out of the blue last night. I have had nothing but issues with these phones and will never purchase a Droid again. This model phone has been very disappointing. I have noly owned Droids, however, my next purchase will be an iphone.

  • Do not buy. I've had 4 they have all been bad. Customer Service could care less about your problems. Phone won't charge after updates. Stay away. I will NEVER purchase a motorola product again.

  • I had my turbo 2 for a couple of months and it worked fine up until a week ago. The phone keeps locking up and takes forever to shut down. When it restarts it tells me it can't find my SD card. So I restart the phone takes a long time but finds the card. Could this be a problem with an app?

  • I've spent 2 years with this phone's charging problems, this is my second... Worst phone ever... Should have been recalled by Moto or Verizon and swapped. Because Moto played dumb and Verizon refused to offer and solution or upgrade... Ill be switching from both for good

  • I'm currently on my third Turbo "Boo" 2. All three have quit charging. The one I have now was working fine until the latest update. After the 7.0 downgrade, it will barely charge on the so called high speed chargers. With the prices we pay on Verizon, I'm very upset with their quality and support. Sprint here I come.

  • I feel your pain man. I have had 3 replacement phone as well. Same issue it just stops charging. Motorola says since Verizon has replaced it everytime i may not be getting a goog phone returned, they say they have a better return process. Honestly, I think they are trying to wait the warranties out so they can wash their hands of the turbo 2 phones. I say this as I just spent $400 to pay off my droid turbo 2, and im now typing this on samsung galaxy s8+

  • My Motorola Droid Z keeps powering off by itself and then I won't be able to turn it back on for another hour or so. The moto logo with the blue background pops up like it's about to start powering on, but then it turns black again. I haven't been able to turn my phone back on for the past two days. There has been two times when the phone actually turns on but right as it does, literally seconds after turning back on, before I can even unlock the phone, the screen turns black again like it powered off. Then the whole process repeats. I have done a factory reset four times and the problem hasn't gone away. And for about 95% of the time when it powers off randomly, the battery percentage has been over 30%. Is anyone having this problem with their Moto Droid Z powering off like this?

  • Very powerful phone, nice display. Much features with quality. Am really enjoying the nougat version. Thanks to Motorola, but my only problem with this phone is, though with a strong battery but not as expected.

  • Mine updated fine but theres nothing new about nougat except the split app screen whats lef its exactly the same as the marshmallow didnt noticed any improvements so if u cant update dont bother about it u arent missing anything special

  • Working pretty fine here never had any problems with it and im also still using my moto defy they are both great phones motorola really got it right

  • I liked the Turbo 2 until my speaker started having problems. After trying several restarts, setting adjustments, etc., I removed the cell from the case and discovered that the back of the cell (the textured backing) is separating/pulling away from the front. When I pinch that area (on the bottom right when looking at the screen), the sound works just fine, but when I let go and the back pulls away, the sound cuts out. I've never dropped or damaged my cell in any way. Wondering if this is a common problem. Guessing I need to replace it.

  • This is the 4th one I've had. It stops charging!!! A couple of them within 2 weeks. I am 45 years old and not rough on phones at all. Never dropped it, use hands free Bluetoothin the car and don't talk while charging and still have this problem. I have always had foods and love Motorola's but this has been a nightmare of a phone!!!

  • Mine does the same thing and I've had like 3or4

  • Since I know that the vast majority of people only post to complain, I thought Id put in a positive review. I'm happy with my DT2. This is actually my second one. Yeah, the first one got really buggy, but only AFTER i repeatedly beat the crap out of it (on accident, but still)! I wonder if that's going on with others? I'm reasonable enough to know that if a phone gets dropped as much as my last one did (with no case), it's going to have issues. I did a design refresh (something I was grateful that motorola let me do), and now have a new DT2 (in a case), several months in, working great. I think of it as a Volvo: not very sexy, but powerful, durable, and super functional. I'm not really sure when I'll bother upgrading next. My phone just works.

  • I'm in Verizon store now. On my 4th phone in less than a year. Verizon agreed to give me an upgrade but Motorola sent same POC. When I spoke with Motorola, then were rude and pretty much said too bad! Never Motorola again!

  • Skip this phone. It's one of the biggest disappointments I've ever used for a phone. The predecessor, Droid Turbo 1, is actually superior in every way to this. I've owned most of the the Droid Razr/Maxx/Turbo phones since 2011, and this is the "turd in the punch bowl". Battery life is mediocre despite a very large battery. Performance is choppy and sometimes the phone will freeze for 5 or 6 seconds and then catch up. The stock keyboard will temporarily freeze and catch up when typing. Switching between apps would be slow at times. On occasion, I would lose WiFi and have to reboot the phone to get a connection. I didn't even play games or install any resource-intense apps on this. I used it to browse web sites, Youtube, listen to music, text. Basic stuff that was easily handled by phones from years ago, yet this thing had problems. I finally put it out of my misery yesterday and got a replacement phone. I may be done with Motorola for the foreseeable future.

  • I have had droids going back to the X. When new, the Turbo 2 was a super phone. After 18 months, not so much. Battery goes dead even in airplane mode. Apps constantly freeze. USB port is shot and will not communicate with a PC. Touch screen can take a minute to respond. I am just so sick. I have a headache!

  • I had this same shit happen to me about 5 months ago. It would be 100% charged and id go to open anything and it would shut off. Id have to connect charger to have it turn back on, eventually that stopped working to the point of not even turning on.. verizons shitty service wouldnt let me get a refurb and motorola said I had to speak to verizon. So all in all ive been paying for a phone the last 6 months that doesnt even work

  • My Droid Turbo 2 is the worst phone I've ever had. I have been a loyal Droid user but no more. This phone is supposed to have great battery life but it only lasts about a half day and I'm on my 2nd one as they had to replace my first. I have a green line going down the side of the screen that I got for no reason. The charging port breaks easily and my phone freezes up frequently. This is a pretty junk phone and probably the worst smartphone I've ever had. As soon as my contract is up I'm going to go with the Pixel or possibly an iPhone. The Droid Turbo was a much much better phone than this. This phone is pathetic.

  • My Droid turbo 2 constantly turns off on its own and needs to be plugged in to turn back on and sometimes to just turn back off again within seconds.. took it to Verizon and it died at least 10 times in the first two minutes, right in front of the rep.. he told me there's nothing I can do but keep getting refurbished replacements until I get a good one.. I think with as many issues as this phone has, someone needs to take legal action.. this is no cheap phone and trading brand new phones for refurbs is bull.. I bought it brand new and when I sent my old one in it had the issue with the charging port not charging.. now I'm stuck with a phone that constantly dies.. I have to carry a battery pack around just in case I need to make a call and it dies.. .. $800+ for a POS phone that isn't properly refurbed and as many issues as this has.. I don't think we should have to pay for the service since I really spent the last 9 months just trying to keep this phone on...

  • Well the thought of mine being the only one to keep working is slowing slipping away. My keyboard hardly works anymore. It glitches so bad that I can get 10 letters typed in before its gone and another 1 minute of trying to get it back. Ugh! I can't answer this phone anymore, my apps are always shutting on me for no reason and even to open them is a chore. My phone will charge up to 100% then it dies so fast. I can take if off the charger and let it set for 20 minutes and will look at it and its already down to 84%. How when I didn't even do anything with it?? I hate this phone. My husbands phone is another story. After my first post, he's had two more replacements. Too glitchly. So the phone company finally sent him a different brand. Way better. My daughters phone glitches so bad too but atleast she can use it more then I can. I can see needing to get her another one in the near future. I'm about ready to go online and just order a different phone and give these back! If you like having a working phone...do not go with this one. Feb 2017 I would not buy the Droid Turbo 2. Myself, my daughter, my husband and two close friends have this phone. Out of all 5 mine is the only one that hasn't been replaced. My husbands has been replaced twice and so has my daughters. All for the same issue. The charging port stops working. I like the phone but honestly if I would have known this issue I would have went with something else.

  • Just because you said Pokemon Go, puts you in the WHO CARES what you think area... Smart Phones are for people smart enough to use them, if you put them in the hands of a child... well you get this!! Motorola keep doin what you do!!

  • Minded. How many millions of copies being made?A few must die...Remember what happened to Note 7...1000 euros phone...Withdrawn from sale after a few months. Motorola Droid Turbo II is the best phone that Motorola has ever done...and all haters can kiss my M logo!

  • I will so agree with you. I can't get a new one for another year and this one won't charge past 56%. It also dies at 30%. I have one app on there I will use besides messaging and that's it. What a junk phone! It also has a red or even green line going through the side. It will not charge with a regular charger. I use a charging pad but even that won't work. What a joke!!!!

  • Same

  • It's a great phone. I don't have any problem with battery, screen ....etc.

  • Omg!! Thanks everyone for the reviews! I thought I was alone with having the worst nightmare with the Droid Turbo 2!!! I will never let a Verizon store salesperson push a phone on me!! I keep thinking why did I ever leave the iPhone. My last one was a 6! I'm on my fourth Turbo 2 in 16 months due to the battery!! I have had to replace all the charging cables which Verizon salesperson was the best one for the phone. A month later I am now using wireless chargers!! I gave up playing Pokémon Go due to the fact I can't rely on the battery and the battery never lasted 48 hours even new!! Replacement phone is only a month old and already numerous problems! Stuck in safe mode! Videos popping on while not even being touched! Wow, the sound issue has hit too! I thought it was my hearing!! I will never buy a Motorola product again in my life!!

  • I have been a loyal Motorola user for at least the last 10 years. One of my favorite phones was my pink Razr flip phone which after all these years I kept as a keepsake. I have upgraded every 2 years to the newest Motorola Razr and now the Turbo ever since. In fact, before moving to the first Turbo, I upgraded to an iPhone, only to return it to the store within a few days to go back to Motorola. By far, without a doubt, the Droid Turbo 2 is the WORST phone I've ever owned. I purchased 2 of these phones on 12/31/15. Within the first few months Verizon had to warranty both phones because of hardware issues. Everyone knows how annoying and time consuming it is to change phones, especially after just a few months. Needless to say, after getting the new phone I still had issues and ended up doing a factory reset to fix issues within another few months. Total disaster! It is nearly impossible to speak with the other person on my account because it is impossible to hear him except when he has the phone on speaker. Keep in mind this is not the original device we got on 12/31/15, but this is the same issue we had with the first phone. Every update has brought about new problems such as apps closing unexpectedly, tremendous slowness, and fast draining battery despite all of the battery saver settings turned on and all apps closed after use. I have cleared the cache a dozen times, almost daily at this point just to keep the phone working. I bought extra storage and move my pictures and videos to the cloud instantly and I delete them from the device due to slowness. At the end of the day, no matter what I do the problems remain. This phone is terrible and I just learned that it is no longer being sold. I guess Motorola realized it was junk, too. But this definitely deters me from going with Motorola in the future.

  • It is bundled with Lollipop, can we update its OS to latest available OS? Will it work in Pakistan?

  • Seriously Motorola... Update took away the fact I can't turn off the battery saver by the notification. And the talk to text button is gone. No where to be found. Should not have updated this this. I now hate this phone solely on those 2 thing. Other than the fact I could care less about the screen share thing or the only charger that works is the original charger or the annoying screen turns on all the time I'm driving g or the fact I can't turn off the notification system when I drive

  • God I hate this phone. I was excited to get it when I first bought it, and at first I was impressed by the many features. I can understand the shining reviews which prompted me to buy this phone, because they reviewed the phone after a week of use. As time goes on, the Turbo 2 gets shittier and shittier. Now, about 14 months in, the camera is slow as shit and often doesn't work, it needs to be wiggled to be able to charge at all, and when it does charge, it is extremely slow and the battery doesn't last nearly as long as advertised (with the cord that came with the phone), the capabilities hardly compare to iOS, and the vibrations make a horrid broken sound. Problem with these tech reviewers is they only experience the product for a week or so.

  • had the phone for a little over a year now and all of the sudden the port to charge the phone stopped working

  • Couple of days before nougat update notify in my droid turbo 2 .but now its vanish and say your device is update but my android version is 6.0 .any one tell me whats the reason behind it.

  • Try going into your phone settings, then apps, then click on each app and click on force stop.. I do that for all the apps I don't need to have running in the background all the time for example: different themes, maps,YouTube calculator etc .. I don't do it with my texting app, phone, clock, and weather etc.. you can also choose to disable any apps you never use, just don't mess with system apps, anyway doing that made a big difference in improving my phone's battery life.

  • This is the worst phone ever!!!!!!! In the last 15 months, I have had to replace this phone 6 times. I’m locked into a contract so unless I pay my way out of my contract I can’t replace the phone with a different model. At first the phone was easy to set up and fun to use. About 3 months after getting it the first phone developed a vertical green stripe down the screen. The phone was replaced. About 6 months after getting the second phone I could no longer charge it. The phone simply would not charge. It was replaced. I get phone #3 about 6 months later the phone shut off and never turned on again. Here comes #4 after setting up the phone I found that I could only talk using the speaker phone. If the phone was not on speaker phone nobody could hear me. The phone was replaced here comes #5. Due to software problems, it took 5 hours to set this phone up about 2 hours later it shuts off and would not turn back on. Here comes phone #6 and I’m through. I am switching phones even if it means switching Service providers.

  • When I first got the phone, I didn't realize the screen was plastic. Within 2 months, it had a couple nicks/scratches in it. Never had that problem with glass screens (never broke a screen, so shatterproof feature is irrelevant for me).. Can't wait to get a different phone for that reason alone. Also when charging, the screen gets very hot if you're using it & makes everything choppy. This might be an issue with turbo charging in general, though. Another issue for me is touch responsiveness. Sometimes tapping & swiping are not recognized. If you don't play many games, maybe this won't be a big deal for you.

  • Please don't update your droid turbo 2 in nougut 7.0 . after updating i am facing like cellular data won't work on roaming also battery backup is not good as it was before . mobile network is also not stable . #verziondroidturbo 2

  • I have got nougat update today on droid turbo 2 in Pakistan .. ITs soooper now ..

  • I am having the screen separation on my second turbo 2. The first one had to be replaced due to overheating/charging port issues alot have experienced

  • Don't get the droid turbo 2. The first one I got I had it for like 2 months an it lost all service in general. I got it replaced 4 months later the audio got real quite an the charging port messed up. I got it to placed again. So far great into yesterday it started having problems charging again. Motorola needs to do a recall on these phones. Me an my fiancee an her best friend we call have the same phone all the same problem.

  • I had nothing but problems with the droid turbo 2. The first was charging issues, and now it's audio issues specifically low volume, and speaker phone won't work. Actually, I'm sending it back to Motorola for repair but hopefully a full replacement. I would stay away from the turbo 2.

  • I have purchased this device used with only $230 USD.. This is a Great phone so far.. This has great battery, (18 Hours with Maximum use, 40 hours with fewer use, and more than 3 days in standby use) Great Camera and Great 3d Games Support i have already compared this device with galaxy 7edge Using AnTuTu Benchmark app .. but overall this device wins with the 3d graphics overall I'll just say this device is awesome with this price range..

  • Then I'd have to agree with you, play it safe, better than be sorry with a broken phone

  • This phone is good as specs, But onlu problem is of this is suddenly a large thick colorish line appear on the lcd and u will not like it, lots of complains in the web about the same problem. if u like this phone do not buy it . I advise u that go for Moto X Style pure edition both phone have same specs and same price if u plaining to buy in used . Moto X Style have no issue like Droid Turbo 2.

  • please tell me what is the problem with this phone, i am buying this phone

  • I would not buy the Droid Turbo 2.

  • thanks but im seeing in a lot of forums the moto x pure had problems with the screen loosing touch and... descolorating screen.. im a little scare about that

  • Absolutely love my phone! Only hiccup.....NO IR!!!! Motorola please help!!!! Samsung has been installing this product for years!!!!

  • I have yet to ever have this occur to my Ballistic Nylon TURBO II, and it STAYS in my pocket if its not in use or on my desk. dont know if its because i have a basic Incipio case on it or what. but ive never seen the case flex or a screen separate on anyone who i know that has a Turbo II.

  • If you want a smaller screen and better battery life, go for this one, but if you want a bigger screen, stereo speakers, are not on Verizon, or want an arguably better design, go for the X Pure Edition. Neither will disappoint. Just be careful about the battery on this one though, there have been a couple reports of the battery quality.

  • droid turbo 2 , or moto x pure edition witch one uds recomend

  • The one I have the screen separated from the case and was replaced and have had the same issue a second time . The screens on these are soft so they won't break but if you have it in your pocket and put pressure on it the case flexes and the screen comes off of the case and damages the screen . This phone is not good for an active lifestyle unless it is put into an expensive protective case. I would not purchase another one . The other issue is the Faster charger that comes with the phone only lasts a short time and looses it's fast charge feature. The operating system is great .

  • I am using it from last 1 year and satisfied with it in all manner. But very much disappointed from Motorolla for late upgradation on Nougat. Anxiouly waiting for that, kindly release it. Thanks.

  • This is a great device. I am using it from last 2 months and i am sestsfied with this one . Speed , Battery timing, and camera results awesome.

  • This is a very good phone especially for the price. Great screen and battery life. Great customer support.

  • I bought min e May 2016 as my Samsung Galaxy 5S went down on an update. This was the only smartphone I could get through Verizon, as I was 6 months short on an upgrade. This is the 3rd one, I have been given since May. The battery doesn't charge, or the charger gets super hot, then it won't connect to reliable wifi's. It isn't the plugin I use, as this is a 3 year old house. I am so sick of this not working. The first one lasted less than 2 days, no sound. What is going on? I cannot believe they can sell this kind of junk phone for over $500.00.

  • This is by far the worst piece of s..t phone I have ever had. When I go to charge it, the phone gets super hot, then shuts off. It will not hold a charge for more than 3 or 4 hours maximum. Goes to 15% within the first 2 hours, even if you are on wifi or even if it is shut off.

  • Same here waiting for noughat update for turbo 2 as seen in other site they say it is conformed for turbo 2 to recieve noughat but now i also recoeved news about skipping moto x line devices update but dont know whether its abpit in terms for moto z updates of software or hardware like introducing turbo 3

  • Anyone knows about Android 7nougat update in Droid Turbo 2...?

  • I bought it second hand about $220 and was working fine except charging issue i thought that it was droped (may be in drop testing lol) but i found somewhat reliable worker who fixed it by $20 Well the problem was normal as with the jack normally when phone drops or you try to insert cable inaccurately etc. (Said by the worker) but as it is second hand so might be dropped by some one before so thats reasonable. Otherwise the phone is just awesome with reasonable price talking about new price as well and had no problem otherwise at all One thing noticed that before i applied screen protectore the scratches were able to made with screen and i started thinking its shatterproof lol . And One thing more it could be awesome i think if it has optical imahe stablization otherwise camera is superb but i think it really lacks ois.

  • Just bought this today not very happy can't even hear the phone ring poor, salesmanship poor workmanship

  • Hi all you experienced people out there please advise me which phone should i buy moto x pure edition or turbo 2.i would b very thank full for your advises..

  • Good: it's pretty tough, and has decent battery life, for the most part. Bad: after just over a year comma it won't turbo charge anymore. It won't hold a hundred percent charge. The power button won't work. About half of the time I have a bright purple line running right down the screen. Way too much money to spend on something that doesn't work. Very disappointed.

  • This phone is awful. I'm on my 3rd replacement. The phone is extremely laggy. The battery life is even worse; I have to take charger with me everywhere I go. The speakers are awful; speakerphone can't be heard if you are more than a foot away from the phone. The only great thing about this phone is the camera. . . and that's about it.

  • I've had this phone for a little over a year and on my second phone. My first unit had volume button malfunction and the battery started to deplete quickly after 6 mos. It’s very fast though and is indestructible (fell out of my pocket while riding my Ducati 2 weeks ago on PCH and it still works fine). Crazy

  • I bought this phone for my dad i have to say we have been terribly disappointed within 3 months he is on his 3rd replacement phone first the screen went out then the sound now all data is gone it tells him there is no sim card its just one issue after the next all they do is send him a refurbished phone replacements its absurd. I do not recommended this phone for anyone there junk

  • I also want this phone .......any advice plzzzz

  • Have mine now for 3 weeks and loving it...super fast and no issues so far.

  • Thanks for all your comments! I wish I read this before the Verizon sales guy talked me into it! The store sales people are terrible! This is the worst phone I ever had too! I get a replacement phone then the stupid chargers don't work! I'm on my second replacement! I apologize to the folks at Pokemon Go! I thought their game killed my phone!! Motorola should offer to do something about their crappy phone! If this dies again I'm switching to T mobile or ATT! And never using a Motorola product again! It's exhausting setting up the phone again!!

  • I had mine for a yrs never been touch and alway work the way I want it to

  • There is no way in hell it cracked it is literally shatter proof look it up on YouTube it's impossible to actually shatter it

  • waiting for my 2nd replacement for my droid turbo 2. my first stopped charging and now its replacement was holding a charge just fine and began shutting off at random points of the day and finally just stopped coming on. if i play with it enough i can get the reboot menu and get the motorolla sign to come on but thats it. on the reboot menu it still shuts off and any option i choose on that it still shuts off. other than these defects i do like the phone. hopefully this is my last replacement for the phone.

  • dear friends pls suggest me i buy motrola droid turbo 2 or not

  • turbot2

  • okay, thanks,I have a lg v10 t-mobile butloaderi blocked him and then have switched neither charged nor the screen turns on and the pallet will be broken?

  • Wtf are you trying to ask?

  • The phone can be fixed but it is not cheap and I had it fixed. It is doing the same thing again and I do not abuse the phone either. I am really upset with the phone charging system. I paid $80 dollars to fix the charging system and don't want to spend that again. I am debating on what to do with the phone. I never had this issue with the apple.

  • I have had multiple issues with the Motorola Droid Turbo 2. I have had issues with charging the unit. The port to charge is not connecting to charge in the first 6 months. I thought it was just a slight issue and I had it fix to a tune of $80. I thought that should fix it till I trade it in but it is another 6 months and the port is having the same issue. I am just disgusted with the phone for that issue. I even tried buying a wireless charger and it was taking forever to charge the battery. The phone then started to reboot itself and it would take about 4 to 5 minutes to come back up to service. I never had any of these issues with my apple phone.

  • dont buy it had problem with screen

  • Then what about phone

  • I think they just took out the antenna and to add a little more battery. Phone has good battery life and operates well but shittiest reception I've ever got even in urban areas.

  • Hello, I am going to buy this and what is the use of mobile-?

  • hello im fine see motorola droid turbo2 im here pakistan i want but here coming without packnot with box not here company sooo when coing sooo much expensive reall you ask me mororola have good mobile like turbo like moto x more good maker

  • Had my phone on the back of the sofa. It fell off and hit the floor. Screen cracked from a 3 foot fall. Motorola Lenovo is trying to tell me it's not covered. The phone is suppose to be covered for 4 years from shattering or cracking. My phone was purchased in April 2016. It's only Dec 2016. Their hype about their screen being indestructible from a fall is a lie.

  • I hate this phone worse phone every I'm on my 4th replacement phone after 2 month the phone stop charging

  • Turbo 2 worst phone ever!! Charge port bad, after 2 months, now possible chip in charge port, after 4 months. Wth!! And the phone is slightly used. Wow, what a waste

  • GARBAGE OS update! DO not get Marshmallow. If you have a SD card it will auto unmount. If you remove it or restart the phone it will show up but only for a few minutes.Oh, and the icing on the cake, they dump Panda Pop on your phone too! If you happen to have picked up this update (VIRUS) ROOT YOUR PHONE ASAP!

  • This is one of the worst phones I have owned,I am waiting for my fourth dt2,as the last one lasted four days before the screen went foggy on upper half, blinks a half screen all nite to exhaust the battery, the last two had lines develop in the screen.Maybe the fourth time is the charm...juuuuunk

  • I used this mobile from 2;months. And I have no problems ...is very good and smoth to use..yes is shatterproof and the cam is brilliant... The battery time is good.I use him in4g is amazing.6 to7 hours..

  • guys i need some help. i cant send messages from my motorola turbo 2 (verizon). but i can receive messages and calls also. anyone please help me...

  • So I didn't want to get another Motorola, but Sony couldn't figure there S_it out (or Verizons that bad ro work with) I went balls out and got and designed it. 64gb my colors etc. Haven't liked it since I got it. For 1. The size. You can't help but open a app on accident and why do I want something so F'in big and heavy in my pocket. 2. The camera is 21.? Megapixels of frustration. Question, how many pictures do you have to take for one that is in focus? Answer, Too many. Let alone an action shot. What the heck. I thought thats why we wanted a camera on a phone. To catch what's going on now. Not in 5 more seconds. Now already came and gone by then. It does take a beautiful picture once you get one thats not blurred. I don't have time for that. Give me 12 megapixels I'll be fine. Wow. 3. Don't care about the battery anymore, big deal. 4. For a phone with all the whistles quad core snap pees etc... This thing is slow. There so much other crap installed on here that you can't get rid of, is why it must be so slow. Just thinking about itself. O and data on 3G how embarrassing. OK, thats enough. And Hell Im stuck with it for 2yrs. I will sell the second one after the 1yr up grade. They need a smaller version to throw in any pocket with power and speed and 64GB is plenty, sd card for more, 12 megapixel camera and Voila'.

  • I want to know that which is batter in turbo 1 and turbo 2. Help please

  • I had a Moto Droid previously and loved it until it started having problems with charging (shutting down and on/off repeatedly). I had it a little over 2 years with no problems at all. So, I got this thinking it would be as good. I returned this phone in first week. Too often (almost always) while on it, people could not hear me talking. I think we narrowed it down to a problem with the background noise cancellation. If there is background noise (like opening a car door) while I am talking, the listener can't hear me. We tested it by me counting to 10 while I tapped a coffee cup on the counter. Listener missed everything I said while I tapped. I am in ambient noise all the time, so this just won't do. Looking for an alternative.

  • It's not what you would really want If your picking nexus 6 against Droid turbo 2 then pick nexus 6. On the droid turbo 2, The famous green line will pop up on the plastic screen when dropped and they won't do anything about it with warranty All tho you think it's shatterproof, I could make a shatterproof screen myself. Best choice is nexus 6 mate

  • I have a green line on my screen and I didn't drop it, now I'm getting a replacement. Motorola is not that good.

  • Just want to make everyone aware that just because Motorola says your shatterproof screen is under warranty do not believe them it is only under warranty until something happens. They do not stand behind there warranty. When you call to explain what happens they immediately say "oh that isn't covered". I really did love my Droid Turbo 2 until I dropped it after just 5 months & now have a green line up the middle. I will never trust Motorola again I thought they would have a good phone but guess I was wrong. A phone should last longer than 5 months. Hope this helps the next sucker that is thinking a Droid would be good.....................

  • Go for Nexus 6 .. Purely Android Phone. Its a Very Smooth phone with low price..

  • Here in Brazil as Moto X Force this is the best of motorola, I change my Moto Maxx for this one, and my past phone are a LG G2... Very smooth, fast an durable. battery is bellow than my older moto maxx, but still much better than LG, Samsung an apple phones... I didn't like the visual and style, the Nylon back cover is hard to clean but offer a good grip... In my point of view, I think that X Force phone is made for who like to run, bike, trek, rally and all off must action, water, dust... The shock resitent scren, huge display, watter protection with a true compass is perfect for adventure sports and uses without loss camera quality and internal memory... a samsung S series or Apple its too much fragile to do this, and LG and Sony is for office and light hands... "glass cover" .. you need a velvet glove to use...thats not my case! My older S4 and LG G2 are pretty good but never will survive a week in a true adventure, to surf, or make bike tracking, camping... obviusly I'm talking about a travel with your father in a motorhome ... I see some of my friends with apple phones and sony that live your phones in home to do this... this one is made for office use without any action... now I'm looking for cartterpillar or Z Force... You could think that "weakness" is proposital!!!

  • It is available in the UK, just called x force. But, don't buy it. worst phone I have ever had. Battery life is rubbish.

  • A step back from the Droid Turbo 1. Although not a total disaster, the Droid Turbo 2 is a mediocre phone at best. The battery life is noticeable worse than original Droid Turbo 1. I've owned almost all the Verizon Droid phones since the Droid Razr, including both Maxx phones and Droid Turbo 1. And I must say that then battery life is not what you would expect from a phone with 3700 mAh battery. The other Maxx and Turbo phones had significantly better on screen time. There is something inefficient with the way this phone uses battery. The I thee problem I have is the weak and slow WiFi radio. It eventually slows to a crawl with download speeds like 0.5 mbps. I'll reboot the phone and get normal 25 mbps WiFi download speeds, only to revert back to a crawl by next day. The third problem of have is the lag when switching apps, switching web tabs, or even typing in the virtual keyboard. I don't do memory intensive things on this phone like gaming, but the lag is quite noticeable. Again, the previous Droid Turbo 1 had much smoother performance. Can't wait to replace this phone. Overall a 3 out of 5 rating.

  • Does anyone have the same problem when I play certain games or at certain times it loses internet connection all the time used to think it was my house but now happens all over . When I play in group setting I am only one that loses connection so pretty sure it is not modem or router ??? Any help

  • Guys I need advice. Which phone should I go for? Nexus 6 or Turbo 2?

  • This phone is the absolute worst phone I have EVER had. Thank god for manufacturing warranty or I would have been out of a phone just 2 short months after getting it. I am about to send my SIXTH phone back to Motorola. That means I have had 5 replacements that all quit working within just a few short months & about to get my 7th phone..That is just unacceptable.. I am convinced this is because Lenova bought Motorola, and they are obviously a rip off! I BEG YOU, DON'T BUY THIS PHONE!!!! This phone has been the biggest pain of my life the last year. I am upgrading as soon as I can.

  • My wife and I both got this phone when it first arrived. Within a month my touchscreen quit responding and it took them two months to replace my phone. In May, my wife's phone quit charging and had to get a replacement. A month ago my phone quit charging I had to get a replacement. It's sad to see a cheap company like Lenovo buy Motorola which used to be a great brand. It's the beginning of the end for Motorola.

  • Your voice goes through mike not speaker. :D

  • keyboard sucks! without doing anything, my keyboard input method changed to voice. when I tried to disable voice input, I had the choice of Chinese pinyin or voice.....no American letters.....this is fully shit!!!

  • I have had my Droid Turbo 2 for about a year now. The 48 hour battery life it claims is definitely false I personally pretty much use this as a phone I occasionally play a game I don't use Facebook or any other social media I rarely stream music and my phone consistently dies every night. The battery life of this phone is about 7 to 12 hours

  • YES. Is there a solution? The speaker phone does not work and every complains they cannot hear me.

  • Yes!! This happens ask the time. My phone had to be in a specific position for the other person to hear me clearly. It's so annoying!!

  • Going in and out I'm talking people can't hear me

  • Has anyone had an issue while your talking on it people complaining about u going in and out one minute they can here me and the next they cant

  • Hey Cynthia. If you swipe to the right while on the camera options will pop up so you can turn the flash off. You can also go to settings if you want to go to airplane mode. It takes some getting use to, but usually there's a place for everything. You can also tap by your face and change the brightness level.

  • Same thing happened to my bf, if you can still use the warranty youll have to take it to verizon or whatever and have them send you a new one. it has something to do with the turbo battery..manufactor error

  • I love this thing. It is by far the best phone I've had. It is fast, runs cool, charges fast, and the battery easily lasts all day long (usually it still has a 50% charge when I recharge it at night). I did have a display glitch with my original Droid Turbo 2 after I'd owned it for 9 months but Verizon support sent me a replacement that works great.

  • I have had my droid 2 for about 6 months and took very good care of it. One day it just stopped charging and i think my warranty ran out!? Does anyone if this can be fixed?? Ty

  • Hey, mine is doing the exact sameeee thing.....WILL NOT CHARGE!! So now its just sitting onmy dresser....CAN ANYONE FIX THIS ISSUE??

  • The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is the best phone I've used in a while .. It charges fast and the battery last long too .. I would tell any and everyone to purchase the phone it's the best to be honest !!!

  • This is the best phone ever. samsung is so small brand...

  • I have had Motorola droids since they started to come out.. droid turbo 1 was durable last me 3 yes. I went to the droid turbo 2 and in 2 months a chip in the corner my plug to charge does not work..for what I paid this is the worse droid they have ever built and I call to get it replaced and the said my plug in is from abuse .. that's a sorry excuse .

  • Garbage. The only saving grace about this phone is the shatterproof screen, which is good because it will make you want to throw it. I ordered one with a non-slip back...slips on everything. The battery likes to lie to you about it's actual charge, sometimes saying it's at 90% then POOF it randomly restarts itself and goes down to 10, if any. Oh and on that not it LOVES randomly restarting...unless you want to restart it, then it hangs on "Shutting down" for an hour. No gallery apps work. Thumbnails are black, and images won't display, and sometimes the whole app locks up entirely. Be it the stock gallery app or any gallery app on the store. The way the phone handles media players is bonkers. Sometimes when you unplug wired headphones the music keeps playing...sometimes it stops. It's GREAT if you love to keep guessing! Make a drinking game out of it! And the ringtones, even with headphones come through the external speaker (WTF is the point?!). Oh but that's not even the best part of the bizarre sound profiles. This neat little thing gives you "Do not disturb" settings so you don't get bugged unless by certain people. Guess how that works? BLOODY DOESN'T. I LOVE when my phone says "Do not disturb mode" and then RING A FREAKING DING it goes off full speaker volume in my quiet office while i have headphone in listening to podcasts! Great stuff! I'm so glad I have this phone so I can be embarrassed from scaring the whole office half to death! And man do I love that it likes to ask for permissions constantly. "I see you already said Facebook can have access to your gallery 37 times in the last 20 minutes...BUT LET ME ASK YOU AGAIN". Sometimes it just randomly changes permissions too! I gave Zedge permission to be used for ringtones, then one day I wake up and the phone decided it didn't want to any more! Good stuff! Buy this phone if you hate having hair and want to rip it all out.

  • It is just transition time. Once you will get to know how to use it, you would love it. Just give few days and if you don't want it then go back to Verizon fast as you are running out of time for return or exchange!!

  • I totally agree with you but shatterproof screens don't mean the internals of the phone won't get damaged it means the screen itself won't shatter.

  • I purchased my phone in December and noticed the GB were really high so I had to increase them to 15. My son ordered same phone and his had to be replaced twice so far. Mine wouldn't take a charge so they replaced it a few weeks ago and within 2 weeks I've used 12 GB...crazy. my son used 12 GB in 2 weeks as well. I requested a whole different phone. I am not doing anything different on this phone that I didn't do on others over the past 2.5 years. Has anyone noticed that it is a data hog?

  • I just bought this phone Saturday evening. I've been using Samsung Galaxy phones for several years, but wanted a very good camera. Salesman persuaded me to buy the Motorola Droid Turbo 2. It seemed like a great choice, until I got home and started using it. The camera is great, but there are a lot of options but paucity of direction about most of these features. I can't figure out how to mute it. The camera has an auto flash feature which I can't figure out how to disable. The Google search box at the top of the home page can't be dismissed. The phone's search doesn't work. The how-to videos don't cover the topics I'm interested in and the "get to know your phone" video keeps stopping and skipping. The online manual isn't helpful: I still could not find anything about how to mute the phone. In fact, I can't find any screen showing the three usual options of "ring," "silent," or "vibrate." If I try holding the power button down, the only option that pops up is "power off." (Airplane mode doesn't even show up there.) I can't get back to the Verizon store fast enough tomorrow! I won't buy another Motorola again.

  • I purchased this phone in late May, after 28 days the lens had a scratch in it from a coin. Verizon said I had to go to motorola. I did this and after a month of e-mails and 10 or more phone calls motorola said it was cosmetic and not covered by warranty. I would need to send the phone in, 10 days or more, and pay $60.00 to have it fixed. Worst customer service ever.

  • I have the original Droid Turbo. and my greatest complaint with it is after turning it on the quad -core microprocessor attempts to run multiple apps simultaneously! As a result the phone overheats and uses excessive battery power!

  • Why did you have to get a replacement?

  • I got my phone in November and I just got my second replacement

  • I bought mine in November....needless to say I am expecting my 3rd replacement tomorrow :(

  • This phone is a variant of the Moto X 2nd Gen. It is just a different name since the US market got used to Motorola Droid. Even the newest Moto Z will be branded as Moto Z Droid. It might not work in the UK, but I am not sure. It should, though. Search for the bands it supports, and ask you carrier which bands he supports.

  • I purchased a turbo 2 in December due to the salesman assuring me as he punted the phone across the room it would not break. In March I returned to Verizon with a green line horizontally down the front of the phone. After many excuses I was told to take my insured phone to an "I fix" kiosk at the mall.. due to wear and tear....as it would be cheaper to fix the screen. In June I returned yet again because the green line was getting wider and was told it would cost $300 to repair the phone. It is now July and the green line is getting worse. I have tried talking to Verizon but I am told Motorola is well aware of this issue but I have to pay to have it fixed. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! IT IS A SCAM! I have been given many excuses but the fact that they say it can't be damaged is a lie. They just want your money and do not back their product up. I just want the phone repaired I don't even need a new one its only 7months old in a two year plan however they are not interested in keeping a customer but making a buck. I will NEVER buy another Motorola product again. Use this phone as what it is intended for.. a paperweight.

  • Hey this is the Verizon branded version of a phone called the Motorola X Force. That one probably works over in the UK and should be available from online retailers. Good Luck!

  • First of all... it does not have a left speaker. Only one on the opening of course on the bottom right. Secondly, it's probably a faulty charger or you already broke it on your own. It's not the smartphones fault your not a smart person. Learn how to use it first before you ruin another smartphone. Enough of your nonsense. SMH...

  • It's lives up to its name really good phone it's def shatterproof along with a speck mil grade case fits on like a glove 10x impact resistance cameras good all in all mate it's a good buy

  • Lovely Phone... Bought it a week ago and its so elegant looking with the latest high-end specs... Everyone praises the phone when its in your hands

  • My Droid turbo 2 was the worst phone I've ever had. I had to lift up on the charger at all times for it to charge. my battery lasted an average of 4 hours with little use. I haven't even owned it for four months and my left speaker broke and stopped working and my entire screen broke. I was just sitting on the couch and it turned black and wouldn't show anything. my mom, who has the same phone, also is experiencing the same charge and battery problem I am. I most certainly am not impressed

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE my Droid Turbo 2! Initially chose this phone for the 21mpx and 4x zoom camera. Takes great photos, with the 4x zoom, I can photo the smallest items with great detail, or zoom for distance shots, and love the touch anywhere on the screen to take a photo-really helps with one-handed quick shots, without having to find the darn camera button. Lots of editing options too. As for set up and operation, I was able to set it up without having to look at the manual, and it's so easy to use, (and find things), that even my non-techie spouse figured it out. which may not be a good thing, because now he uses my Droid Turbo 2 more than his own, (and then I have to wait my turn), so I guess I need to get him his own. :-) Some people may not like the large size (& weight) of the phone itself, but I love it! It provides a larger screen area, (to read emails and... play games, and by changing the font size to huge, it is so much easier to read without having to put on my glasses. Speaker sound is good, (even my hard-of-hearing mother can hear when it’s on speakerphone). As for speed, to me anyway, it feels blazing fast. This phone is a Verizon exclusive, so you have to pay a little more per month, for the service, but so worth it. Verizon really does have a large network and fast 4G. I opted for only the 2G of Data since I use this a lot on available wifi’s, but you can still scroll thru emails to see if anything is super urgent, then turn on the 4G when you need it, and quickly turn it off when you don’t. Hooked it up to my computer with a USB and easily backed up all my files, photos, everything to my desktop computer, (just in case), and between google cloud and Verizon cloud we have lots of storage space. (for all those videos and photos) Added an SD card to transfer the gazzillion photos I've been taking - and in the slide out camera settings, you can set the photos to save directly to the SD card or the phone (which saves phone storage space for other things like ...games). AND lets not forget the shatterproof screen! It's been dropped a couple times already (once on the concrete driveway!!), and it's all good! We did spend the extra couple of bucks to get some peel and stick screen protectors, (from Verizon, not the cheap-er knock-offs) to protect from scratches, and the occasional splash of water - or coffee... so far, the first one has lasted over 8 months, and still does not need replacing, (and you don’t wanna know what the screen has been subjected to). This phone is my workhorse. The battery life is better than any I’ve had before ... we use this phone - a Lot. from around 6 am to 4 pm with a full schedule of phone calls, checking emails, facebook, twitter, etc... and playing a game or two here and there, but even with continuous use, by 4:00 the battery rarely falls below 50%, by 7 or 8pm it might drop to 40 or as low as 20% .. but after a 20 min charge, its good to go again. If we don't play games, and only make calls and check emails (every 30 min or so), it can last a good 24 hours, and even then, the lowest it went down was around 10%. I have 10 different email accounts (for different purposes), and can easily access them all from one simple location, (saves me about 2-3 hrs a day checking emails) with the downloaded “one note”, I can type quick reminders and notes to myself on the road, and when I get on my desktop, everything is right there! If you are having problems with your phone, it might be that you just got a bad one, (it happens). Overall this is the absolute best phone I’ve ever had. If I could afford it, I would buy one for every one of my friends and family. Seriously, I never thought I would be so excited about a phone, but I truly love this phone and would very highly without a doubt absolutely recommend it!

  • Hi, I really want this phone but it's not directly available in the UK, so I'm a little concerned about how it will perform. Has anyone else brought one over from abroad & can vouch for it's performance on our infrastructure here? Cheers

  • Thank you so much!! That back talk was driving me nuts and there was nothing I could have done. More over, the Verizon wizards did not know either. Who could have guessed to pull down the screen with the whole palm? Is it anywhere in there instructions? One more thing: Isn't that stupid to not have Russian language on the list of available languages when there are so many totally unknown ones? 200 million people in the world still speak Russian. I was offered by Verizon to return the Turbo 2. Gladly one of their guys was smart enough to solve the problem in 5 minutes.

  • Something wrong with your phone brother. Take that to the service center or check the battery usage. If it's all screen usage there then return the device. Because it is a battery problem. If android system is using that much then it's time to reinstall or update your phone by pc. Check again... I can guarantee you there is nothing wrong with turbo 2.

  • you would have to prove it to me!!!!!

  • These phones are horrible. My first wouldn't take a charge, so I was sent a second one. The second won't work with the charger that came with the phone, but the charger works with other phones. The battery life is horrid. I switched From a RAZR Maxx which was the best phone I've owned. Wish I still had it.

  • Your battery must've been bad. I would get that fixed ASAP.

  • Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I HATE this phone. It requires a minimum of 3 full charges per day. A full charge lasts me about 4 hours with only minimal use, and I don't use the phone that much. Switching from an iPhone to this was the worst mistake I could have made.

  • Love the phone had trouble with it at all. Got it in November works great

  • It is written in the specs infrared port Yes

  • Depends on how you use it of course. First of all, you gotta disable/uninstall all the apps and bloatware you don't need, I disabled about 20 - 25 x.x, got mine from Verizon. If your just a daily user, the phone for sure goes 2 days or uses around 40% battery on a daily use like 1-2 hours of browsing with wifi. The phone does tend to get warm feeling like something 75 - 80 F in your hard after over 30 min of video or touching, clicking, or bright screen backlighting from usage or could be because I put a plastic shock absorb cover around it. If you browse a lot, then yeah it will come down to 1 day's lasting. Same for music, all-day music would make the phone last just about a whole day. If you don't usually use your phone during the day that much except for talk and text it will last 5-7 days with around 12% usage each day. I used to be able to get up to 9 day battery lasting with barely using the phone, it seems to have dropped a bit after Marshmallow update or maybe its because battery slowly dieing after 7 month use already. I got mine early November last year. Overall I really like it, but its my first high-end smartphone. My previous or first smartphone I ever had was the Moto X (2013).

  • I've had this phone since mothers day, it works wonders, my previous phone was the ultra and omg the amount of bad luck I had with that phone was ridiculous, but this phone I've dropped it a few times and only a few dings in the corners. Very impressed with storage, battery and turbo charge, love this phone!!

  • There are apps you can get in the Play Store for any phones that help save the battery by shutting down the app from Finding Your locations and your battery gets saved Etc

  • Eye on the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 there was a problem I had another phone users had with it with a green line on the side and people didn't know how to get rid of it I had to uninstall a few apps I think the phone got crowded to many aps trying to find my location or whatever but when I removed a few apps then the problem went away. So far so good no problems with the green line any more

  • The phone really have infrared port? Please somebody tell me!

  • The Turbo2 is a great phone. Don't be misled by the Iphone hype. Shatterproof screen is a big plus for any smartphone user, and a 21mp camera is great to accompany an 8 core processor!

  • Does your phone just randomly shut off and oblyturn onwhen it's in the charger. And the battery said it's turbo charging and when you disconnect it you can actually see the battery dropping rapidly

  • After a couple of months of normal use my DT2 wouldn't complete startup. After sending it back to Motorola they declared that there was water damage and that it voided the warranty. The device was not exposed to any kind of unusual moisture and the liquid indicator inside the sim tray does not appear triggered. The back of the device is glued on and there is no way for a regular user to be able to remove and replace the back of the device Additionally there is no way to flash the device firmware to try to resolve the issue.

  • Did you have an iPhone before?

  • I personally own this phone and love it. The Specs above are incorrect based on Motorola's listed specs for the expandable memory. According to Motorola this phone can hold up to a 2TB card. I have a 256GB one in mine. Love this phone. That's a big deal for me since I was an iPhone user before.

  • best phone ever. dropped it about 200 times now (every time i exit a car, i have a bad habit of putting it on my lap and my stoned self forgets, 200 is a low estimate. on every surface, mostly concrete). i even took a spill on my longboard and the phone is literally twisted a few degrees. works as flawlessly and as fast as it did on day 1. battery is ridiculous.. 0-100% in about 45 minutes every time. lasts me 2-3 days depending on use. im on instagram mostly. best phone ever.

  • Works great but when send text messages in group it says only delivered to some

  • On my 3rd phone in less than 6 months. It's a piece of junk. All 3 have had issues charging and the battery doesn't last as long as they claim. Don't waste you money!! Verizon told me that Motorola finally acknowledged there is a problem with the phone but they can't replicate the charging problem in house.

  • Great phone have a problem. I've had it for 4 months. Some people are saying it doesn't work well or the battery sucks, but my battery last 6-8 hours of hard use so I don't know what they are talking about. They also saying the screen scratches but mines hasn't scratched yet and it got thrown across a room and slid on the hard floor with no scratches so once again I believe this is not true.

  • Garbage garbage garbage. On 3rd one in five months. Had reboot problem 5 mins after leaving store. 2nd one screen would lock up. Current one is no better, drops calls no one can hear you. Have to talk on speaker all the time. Better off getting two tin cans and string.

  • The biggest piece of shit you could possibly buy ! It will Call people by itself - on my 3rd phone in 4 months if you enjoy non stop problems and a company who could care less (Verizon) once they get your money this is the phone for you If you have any Brains at all don't even consider this piece of junk.Do yourself a favor find a different carrier Verizon couldn't care less about you or your problems and do NOT buy this Shit phone People can't understand you, battery good for 5-6 hrs if you don't use it ! Worst phone I ever owned - only 4 months old had problems from day 1. Verizon has you locked into this Shit phone for 2 years ! I plan on switching Carrier and getting a phone that works and a company who cares. I will not honor their contract - they don't ! Verizon take me to court I'm not paying anymore !

  • This phone is complete garbage. The touch screen is often unresponsive, there is something wrong with the transmitter as people have trouble understanding you when you talk, the shatter proof glass is nothing special, and the last system update has rendered my blue tooth almost completely useless. Also the autocorrect is really dumb. Verizon has been no help on these issues. Seems being a customer for a decade doesn't count for much with Verizon.

  • I've been a Verizon customer for around 10 years. This stupid phone got me to switch to AT+T. Battery sucks and the "Turbo charger" doesn't work at all. Battery life is 8 hours max if you don't actually use the phone for anything. If you do use it, better have a charger with you at all times. The only kind that actually charges it is the pad type. Try to plug it in and it says "slow charging, use the charger that came with your phone". What a crock. Games are slow and chunky and everyone I talk to says they can't hear me. I hate this stupid phone so much. Can't wait till my new phone from AT+T arrives.

  • One of the best phones out there. Snappy, gorgeous design, plus extended storage via micro SD card. Great screen and great camera

  • I've had the phone for a few months now and like it for the most part. My only complaint is the pinky fatigue but I have small hands and always used a slide-out qwerty style phone before so I'm not used to one-handed operation. Haven't had any issues with the battery life. I'm not a constant heavy user but I do play youtube on every car drive and browse online quite a lot. With that type of usage, I normally get to 2 days on a single charge. I've had a glass SP on it the whole time so I have no complaints about the plastic screen being easily scratchable. Honestly, the people complaining about this didn't do their research well enough because that's the first thing I noted when checking out reviews. I haven't had any issues since the 6.0 updates. I got the leather back one because it was available and it feels great in my hands. Doesn't slip around easily either but I'd imagine the rubber is superior. I don't use advanced calling, at least to my knowledge, and my calls sound great. Better than any previous cell phone I've had by a long shot actually. This is my 3rd droid (Droid, Droid 4, Turbo 2) and here's to hoping this lasts me as long as my last one.

  • Don't buy this phone if you expect decent battery life. It is no better than my 3 year old Nexus. And dimensions odd, too wide to hold comfortably and edges feel sharp. Have had for 5 months and massively disappointed. Wasted alot of money.

  • LG S7 wtf is that you da, you either mean lg v10 or galaxy s7.

  • This is probably one of the WORST purchases of my entire life. The phone can't be taken apart so I can't even tweek it, but it has been having a charging problem for at least a month now. The guy at Verizon kept telling me to just to factory reset it and charge my phone while it is off. As nice as that sounds if I am paying $600.00 for a stupid phone then I want it to work properly. This phone is a joke I recommend everyone purchase the LG S7, at least if the battery is trash you can replace it.

  • Awesome phone much better than the galaxys, was a big fan of samsung until motorola brought this phone out. I've dropped it many times on wood and concrete surfaces and still works great with no issues. Just bought wife one plus an extra one to toy with and she loves it as well.

  • Excellent phone (despite a surprising number of complaints I see here!). We picked up 3 via Verizon and the MotoMaker website in mid-November (2015 of course), and have used them heavily since then. I use mine for personal and work (management consultant / "road warrior"), my wife uses hers for personal calls, games, FB, etc., and my 17 year old daughter uses hers the way most teens use smartphones these days. We ALL have had great experience with the phones. All are upgraded to Marshmallow. Battery life has been generally excellent. I generally get 4.5 hours screen-on-time and have at least 30% battery left after a LONG day of use (6:30am till close to midnight). Phone handles extremely well -- smooth, no lag or hesitation. Virtually no errors or hiccups. Wife and daughter have the 32gb version with 35gb SD cards added. I have the 64gb version and an additional 64gb card (going to replace, probably, with 128gb). Great to be able to use all this storage for pictures, PowerPoint presentations, and especially to cache / download thousands of tunes from Google Play Music for offline listening (I'm on a plane quite often -- this with headphones is spectacular). We added the 0.2mm flexible hardened glass screen protector from Verizon on all 3. This keeps the plastic screen from scratching -- and worst case, the glass can be replaced for $24. But all 3 still look like new after 6 months of heavy use, and we know the actual phone screen isn't about to break. Sound quality is good. Bluetooth flawless. WiFi has been excellent. The very thin layer of Moto actions and the like are really nice -- great to open the camera with a twist of the wrist, turn on the flashlight with a "chopping" motion, and wake up the phone with my own phrase. All told -- best phone I've owned in 24 years of using cellphones.

  • This phone is a massive disappointment. Do not be swayed by a shatter proof screen. If you drop it, the insides will shatter but the screen will not. My first one out of box had a dark spot on the screen. The second one made a clicking sound near the home button. The third one was previously used (what a ripoff). I have had the Turbo 1 and it was a much better phone. The Turbo 2 has crappy battery life, is heavier, not much faster, if at all, and the screen, despite claiming to be "shatter proof" scratches easier than any droid I have ever had. I have a massive disgusting slice on the screen and I treat the phone like a baby. It takes nothing to leave a permanent mark on this phone you can feel with your fingernail. All in all, it was a TOTAL DOWNGRADE FROM TURBO 1. This is my 6th Droid, dating back to the first Motorola Droid. I am never getting a Droid ever again. If you are like me you notice they NEVER get faster, the OS updates downgrade performance, the cameras are historically and presently deplorable, the OS GUI is annoying, they are heavy as bricks, and Droid cannot figure out a single thing to make these phones truly unique. I cannot believe this top of the line phone has a scratch this early in - truly not nearly the quality control of the Turbo 1. I went through this disappointment with the Droid Razr's. Motorola is simply incompetent in making these phones better than the last and the next generation will have some dumb pointless gimmick too but the phones will be basically the Motorola Droid they released from day one. So much computing power and they just dumb it down with the OS so you think the next ones won't suck but they will.

  • Can't use advanced calling because of dropping calls. Back piece around camera coming off after five months and because I picked my colors I can't get a factory warranty replacement with the same colors.????? To go through Motorola it's going to cost me a $250 hold and $25 to get this glued back down. But they release the hold when the get their phone back. I'm paying $700 for the crappiest phone they've put out. Phone gets confused now when starting my car and disconnects from anyone hearing me for about five mins. I've been a die hard Motorola fan for years but guess I'm switching to Samsung next go around since Motorola stopped backing up thier product. Greatly disappointed in this phone and Motorola customer service

  • Have you reset your device after android update? If not, keep backup and reset your phone.

  • Have you reset your device after android update? If not, keep backup and reset your phone.

  • After the update my gallery app is acting up not letting me move pictures or videos to other albums and then the pictures and videos turn grey and the app will crash. I've been having so many problems with the update my apps keep crashing and something keeps poping up and disappearing randomly while I'm trying to text plus I don't like the way they set up where you can send messages later, I end up accidentally sending messages in 5 minutes instead of right away if they could move it it be OK but it's just so annoying. Please get this update fixed.

  • Mine has given me no problem and I would recommend it.

  • Does Advanced calling charging your data plan? Does Verizon charge everything into your data plan, if you want to have a good quality device. People say they cannot hear me, the phone drops calls frequently, the voice over the phone is in and out. Even the Verizon customer service persons said the same thing, and issued a ticket. But, I have no idea what is next.

  • "share locations in real time" After forced to download Android 6.0, everything changes again on this device. The barebone Message+, I used (I did not pay the premium), now it wants to track me everywhere I go, I can not decline it. So, I had been talked with Verizon in the last 7 days. They said (1) it is a marketing gimmick, it is not tracking my locations. (2) I have to accept it, otherwise, I can not use Message+ any more. (3) To Accept it, Glimpse will download to my device, even when I drive, it will tract my location. This is a privacy issue. I never sign up to be tracked by Verizon. Although, Verizon can easily track my location without my knowledge. Can someone tell me that you all have no problem to accept "share locations in real time", I also was told it will charge your account and use your data plan when you force to use so-called integrated calling. Can someone assist me this urgent issue asap? I have not used the Message+ for seven days now. I have so many issues with Verizon, can someone tell me how to get off the contract when it does not get my consent to track my location. Thanks. I would like to hear from you all.

  • I am on my 4th droid turbo. I am thankful it is under warranty due to the fact I have had issue after issue. The phone cannot be in advance calling if it is it sounds like you are in a tunnel. My phone then shut of completely after doing the "update" after two day it shut completely down. No reboot no signal and the phone locked. I'm so frustrated with this phone...but stuck because of there stupid promotion. Very unhappy with the droid turbo 2!!

  • Sir please available on line store?

  • would you recomend it

  • If i purchased unlocked droid turbo 2 will you recommend it for me..??bcz i like this phone but did,nt wan,y verizon exclusive(shit) i just wam,t to use motorola

  • The worst purchase I ever made. Constant problems. The latest is that I get no ringback or busy signal when I make an outbound call. If I switch to speakerphone I hear the ring or busy signal. Took it to the Verizon store several times. On the last visit they did a factory reset. The phone worked fine for ten days and now is back to the same problem. They will not replace it. They will sell me a service contract. I would not recommend Verizon or the Turbo2.

  • my was humming too, it was the case

  • Comparing this post thread to the Moto X Force thread it seems Verizon has ruined an awesome phone with their rubbish software. Droid Turbo 2 and Moto X Force are the same thing but once Verizon got hold of it they turned is into a steaming pile of ....

  • Useless. Advanced calling option makes calls drop every few seconds. Can't handle data and calls at the same time. Camera won't run while in a call. Can't look up anything on web or in Maps while in a call. Returning mine within the 14 day grace that Version gives me.

  • This phone is absolutely terrible. I constantly have issues with the screen coming on and it eventually stopped functioning, so I took it to my back yard and crushed it with my sledgehammer. Good times.

  • Lumia 950xl or Moto droid turbo 2?

  • Yes. I am having problems with my Motorola Turbo 2. After having this phone x 2 weeks. I started noticing a hummmmm noise as I was talking. The person on the other end States when this happens it sounds like I'm in a drum with a hummmmm. It is getting worse. I Called Verizon & was told they couldn't replace phone. First I had to replace the Sims card to see if that helps. Going to do this soon. My husband's phone is starting to do the same thing.

  • I have had this phone about a week and so far I really love it! I have had no issues at all. I have had no complaints about not hearing me and have had no issues with glitching software. The battery life is great. It does not last the two days like advertised but that is my fault as I have such things as gps location, brightness, and other settings turned up. With that being said, I do get a full day use out of a single charge with moderate use. Have not had a chance yet to see how fast watching movies and videos will drain the battery. Absolutely love how fast it charges and the large eternal storage. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone.

  • You may have had better luck with the latest iPhone, the iPhone 6S Plus. I switched from Andriod to Apple and quite please with the latest iPhone on performance and call quality.

  • I was having the same issue with my droid turbo 2. Instead of going through Verizon, I went directly through Motorola. Verizon tech support is complete Sh!t. They give you refurbiished phones. Motorola gives you two options to fix it. Advance exchange or repair.

  • The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is a worthless device. Very poor call quality ( people say they cannot here me unless I'm on speaker) the phone drops calls frequently, and it won't hold a charge. I'm on my second phone due to the turbo charging going out on the 1st one. I'm paying for a brand new device and the phone that was sent to me was obviously used( not clean) and I'm sure original owner returned the phone do do the issue's it has. Verizon is aware of all of this things but refuse to replace it.You can count on Verizon's customer support and Technical Support to be useless and flat out dishonest! I had the same issue's with the first one. I love the interface and features but the device just had to many problems.

  • without stereo its good. cool realistic sound. stereo is good .but this one is too good...

  • remote control? ah for what ? why does tv came without remote control?

  • may be yours. not mine .work perfectly. and great battery life too

  • Go to Settings - > Advanced calling -> activate advanced calling. This device is built for VoLTE. Once thats turned on you will be amazed at the call quality improvement

  • Update ... took the phone back to the Verizon store, store manager made a few calls with my new phone and concluded that I had a defective phone. He replaced it with another new phone off the shelf. The new phone is working great.

  • If you're buying for the advertised long battery life, don't. Moderate-to-heavy users may not see a full day on a charge. Screen occasionally freezes. Don't know if it's a memory problem or the screen not recognizing my touch. Nice looking with mediocre guts. My previous Motorola Droid Maxx was a better phone.

  • I have owned my phone for about two weeks now, the most important feature for me is that I have a good working phone. The quality of calls is poor at best. Customers complain they can't hear me well, constant crackling and buzz sound in background. I took the phone back to the Verizon store today, they " upgraded" it to HD phone. I thought that would take care of it, ... NO, not any better. My old flip phone was a better "phone". Forget all the fancy crap, if you can't talk on it, what good is a cell phone? Maybe I got a bad phone, maybe the droid 2 is junk? Why take a chance, pass on this phone.

  • Marshmallow update is rolling out!

  • - Plastic "shatterproof" screen - not quite as responsive as glass, but not terrible. - No IR blaster (has IR sensor, for what, I don't know), so no remote control for your TV :( Aside from these 2 complaints, I haven't had any issues with the phone. If I had the option (don't want to waste $600), I would re-evaluate my purchase. I chose this phone as it wasn't as locked down as the others. Most nowadays don't have anything removable. This one at least has the option to add a bigger SD card - granted you have to use the included tool, or a paperclip to eject it. My previous phone was an LG G3, but it hard bricked itself after a year & a half. It was a good phone.

  • And wireless charging works as well.

  • It lasts 13 hrs if charged for 15 minutes.

  • I've got 2,5 days with around 4h of SoT. It was normal usage: music over BT, navigation, chat, email, web... Never tried to play movie or web browsing all day to see how long will last. Of course, everything depends of the usage. Playing games or using cardboard for VR drain battery way faster.

  • You have to add radio and change the chipset to Intel. The hardware is great.

  • How long is the battery life if you average usage and heavy usage? Thanks

  • Since it works with tmobile. How is the Panorama camera mode? Is it as good as the lg g4? I use the pano camera mode for work everyday. How loud is the speaker comparing to iphone 6 or lg g4?

  • nice resistance,if u work in construction you need to put a case and a protective glass to avoid scuffs:D

  • no stereo speaker,no water resistant

  • Yeah they seem to have hit the wrong strings in terms of their design.

  • Wow 21mp

  • these Motorola designs are straight horrific, dreadful...

  • when will be the release in middle east (UAE)

  • what a power under the hood and then this kind of horrific design...

  • Which lte bands are missing for GSM on this? Want a moto x force but it's $700+ and Droid turbo can be found for $400. Therefore trying to see which bands on AT&T the Droid doesn't have

  • If you're not US Verizon usee, much better choice is Moto X Force. Unlockable bootloader, no Verizon bloatware...

  • It's unlocked gsm dude. Just insert your at&t or t mobile working good. No need to unlock the phone.

  • iam also waiting for this if u got some clue then inform us. iam planing to buy from US site

  • This phone does not feature stereo speakers. Please see the Wikipedia article on the phone about this mistaken assumption.

  • It's not for Verizon only and works with T-Mobile, at&t, etc. Dude.

  • Yes, as I said already. Personally tested. It's sim free, only limitation is lack of the lte bands. It's better to buy Moto X Force, the same phone ad Turbo 2 with more lte bands (but 13 for Verizon is missing), unlockable bootloader, no Verizon bloatware... Just got Force couple of days ago :)

  • Had this phone for 2 weeks now. I admit I was leaning on an Apple 6 or Samsung Note 5, but between the VZW salesman and the multiple extras I got for choosing the Droid T2 (2 tablets/otter case, bluetooth headset) I gave the new Moto a shot. I have to say, I actually am liking it. It runs very well, the camera (my opinion) has taken great pictures and the battery life is KILLER. I definitely recommend this phone

  • its verizon only dude

  • If a fingerprint sensor was added to this smartphone Motorola Droid Turbo 2 would have been the Best Smartphone in the world Battery and Processor are King Wow !!

  • If a fingerprint sensor was added to this smartphone Motorola Droid Turbo 2 would have been the Best Smartphone in the world Battery and Processor are King Wow !!

  • It does work for T-Mobile

  • works on at&t?

  • #1 phone of 2015

  • It is. I was using it for two weeks with international sim and at&t network. I going for Force now. The same phone, more LTE bands, sim free, unlockable bootloader...

  • See moto x force

  • wish this phone is compatible with tmobile or att!!!! the battery is the king!!!!!! wow!!!

  • Talkback mode is a serious pain. It's designed for the vision impaired and completely changes the way then interface works. Basically every symptom you mentioned is intentional. The vibrations tell you when you are touching a button/link/touchable action on the screen. There was probably an annoying voice that kept telling you what you are touching. To navigate, you have to tap where you want to go once (for example, the settings icon) then double tap it once the voice tells you what it is. The screen doesn't scroll with just one finger, you have to cover the whole screen with your hand and then slide it in the direction you want to scroll. Using those methods, you should be able to navigate from the home screen into settings, accessibility and then turn off talkback. I'm writing this in the hopes of saving someone else the frustration of trying to figure out how to unbreak their phone. In my opinion, there should be at least 3 "are you sure?" screens of increasing urgency before you can turn talkback on. It would save those of use who trouble shoot phones for the general public a lot of headaches.

  • Yes, see first line

  • No, new generations use only streaming over... well, radio waves. But they don't understand that :D

  • There are no radio waves since 2008?

  • is it Dual Sim Supported (as like CDMA+GSM)?

  • single sim

  • Because we don't live in 2008 anymore.

  • C'mon gsmarena, why is taking you so long to test this device? Finally one vendor introduced something new, Apple would say revolutionary and you will test it immediately. But if is Moto, then you don't care.

  • No FM radio, why????

  • Today I drop my phone with a gorilla glass 3 ,its glass display shattered into 3 pieces. Its really heart breaking. Today many types of scratch protection glass are present ,but they all are useless as they dot provide shatter resistance. Motorola has gone a right way with this technology, may be it inspire other manufacturers to put a similar step. It is not going to be my next phone as it ugly with very large side bezels and also lack a fingerprint sensor. But my next smartphone will definitely be with a shatterproof display may be turbo 3 or turbo 4 ,or with some other manufacturers with same technology.

  • Really? That's your issue dude you cannot judge a phone by that alone who gives a s*** about that I want to know what the f*** happens when you blast out of a cannon sick and tired of dropping my phone and crack in the screen just get one that has international Mode Verizon told me there's several available that have international mode so I really don't know what you're bitching about

  • They removed android native sip!

  • I got the phone last week from Verizon because I didn't want to wait for the 64g Note5. Well took it ho.email and all was fine until I accidentally turned on the talkback feature. Boom!!! Screen went ballistic, couldn't get into the phone, it started acting real jerry with vibration s all over the place (erratically), until I finally was able to force myself back into the settings menu and type out talk back

  • This is a flagship? Really?!?... No international dual mode coverage both in TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE?!?... That's sucks!

  • This is a flagship? Really?!?... No international dual mode coverage both in TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE?!?... That's sucks!

  • the moto x force is UK only, and the turbo 2 is a verizon/moto exclusive....yes it will work with gsm in a pinch, but for daily use it's going to suck

  • I picked up one of these on 11/10. Have exchanged it for two new ones and still have a calling issue. I can hear in bound fine but out bound is sometimes muffled and even dropped. I really like all the other features of the phone but not sure I can keep it if I can't depend on it to make phone calls, especially since that is what it was intended for to be a PHONE. Anyone else experience call issues? Verizon and Motorola state they have had no issues.

  • It works on Band 2 and Band 4 for AT&T, although the coverage is bit limited.

  • i thinkits called the moto x force same phone as turbo2 but more gsm feq. I hoping someone will answer my q. on if the force will work better in us than the turbo2 on gsm .

  • hi would getting the droid x force work better in the us on gsm sense it is the internation version of the turbo 2? it gets the band that is missing 17 but doent get lte 13 wich says that is verison.

  • no

  • How? It doesn't support band 17 which is AT&T main band...

  • For those of you in the U.S. that are interested. I confirmed yesterday with an associate at AT&T that this WILL work on their networks. So if you're not with Verizon, no worries. Just buy the phone directly from Motorola unlocked, take it to AT&T, and they will activate it for you. Guaranteed 4G LTE

  • Does this have water protection?

  • ShatterProof is so unbelievable. Check it out on youtube. Screen was hammered as well. If this feature is also applied either on both iphone and samsung, those devices will be near to perfection.

  • Is there a way to get it to Dubai?

  • All hail to that which is the Droid Turbo 2. Absolute sick specs all around! Only downside I see is no OIS, but even so I still here that the sensor Motorola has in this phone as well as others in their new lineup is still top notch. Apart from that, really hard to pick out anything really bad about this device.

  • It actually does have GLONASS. FOr some reason they don't list it here.

  • Battery is not easy replaceable but it's doable.

  • Haha, sorry the battery isn't removable. Just got mine last Sunday, dont see anything in the manual about removing battery.

  • y no Glonass?

  • Since it uses Qualcomm Wi-Fi Chip, does it has MU MIMO?

  • The specs don't say the battery isn't removable so I'm crossing my fingers that this isn't an error and the battery is actually removable. This is definitely a make or break deal

  • it's new chipset.

  • that is because all rugged phones are costly. You want an almost unbreakable phone you have to pay the price also. you cant get all the things in one device also looks are being compromised in this device as moto x pure looks way too good than any other handset in the market so its hard to beat their own design in fact.

  • is 810v2

  • And the battery :D

  • real concern is the processor, 810 and heating? can anyone confirm

  • After watching some videos with drop tests, reviews and people having fun by actually dropping it around all I got to say as a future Sony Z5 user, I'm jealous. This phone has indeed an unbreakable screen, it's unbelievable. It doesn't have the waterproofness of Z5, but hell it has a fking unbreakable screen! Have fun playing with it droid 2 owners, I can't say I'm not jealous of this screen technology of yours!

  • @rusty..... The bezels are only large because it is proportionate to the screen

  • The bezels are a bit big but otherwise this is a great device. The understated but rugged design is aesthetically pleasing to those who like it, and while it may not have a fingerprint scanner, it's not really needed. However, I am concerned about the use of plastic instead of glass. While it does make it crack resistant, I imagine the screen will scratch a lot easier.

  • Is there chip 810v2 or the old one?

  • I don't know why people are bitching about the lack of a fingerprint reader, it's superfluous and mostly a personal preference doesn't matter if all the "flagships" have it. OIS isn't a big deal unless you record way more videos than you should.

  • The specs don't get any better than that especially with its massive battery.

  • Very very nice phone, but Snapdragon 810? No, thanks..

  • NO fingerprint sensor (outdated)!!! Design, same old fashioned!!! Wake up Moto!!! The rest of the specs could have been acceptable at this point in time yet the price is not worthy of it all...

  • Verizon isn't wcdma/gsm, it's cdma. But yes, the phone is world-band, which means it's gsm-compliant

  • can i get in kenya?

  • The moto x force is the international version of the droid turbo 2

  • hi.i want to move out from ios to android.any opinions you guys to help me with?

  • Not a worthy one to buy, it costs almost 42k. Phones with the similiar same specs cost lesser than this one. No Fingerprint sensor.

  • Droid turbo 1 has great battery

  • somme site said the droid turbo 2 is verizon exclusive can it work with other wcdma/gsm networks.?

  • Seen the camera benchmarks on DxoMark? Outclasses the LG G4 and sits on fourth place. Fingerprint sensor is a standard in current flagship smartphones but at the same time it's not necessary. Makes the device a bit more affordable without such features.

  • yeah moto kudos for the shatter proof we dont want slim anorexic phones we want long lasting devices with remarkable performance one word i call it durable. i dont care a bout silm devices i care abot big screen and average 9 mm device.... even they are putting micro sd cards so people lets help moto with this campaing... only moto and lg listen to their customers lg provide replaceable batteries and sd card support .. so i want to crack or sell ur sd card them other brands are waiting

  • So this will be the Moto X force eh, How does it handle 810 heating I wonder

  • very poor design. No fingerprint sensor. No Optical image stabilization. I think this is nothing but a campaign of double layer screen marketing.

  • Unfortunately, no it does not. However, it is still a great phone.

  • No fingerprint? C'mon motorola... Is that a hard thing to do? Besides that everything cool...

  • True, there are no differences now between the moto family and droid's

  • Great device, but it's a fault this device doesn't have optical image stabilisation.

  • does this phone have finger print sensor??.. If it haves it would be a perfect phone to buy..

  • Good Device, I like it

  • Nice

  • dude 2 TB means 2048GB. 1Tera=1024Giga

  • Its official, Moto X Force for international version, Motorola just shared a video on facebook teasing this device.

  • If the screen isnt glass, wouldn't it discolor over time?

  • the official site describe the MIL-STAD 810G "1. The LG V10 passed a military standard test for shock (MIL-STD-810G Method 516.6, Procedure IV – "Transit Drop"") that consists of 4-foot drops onto 2" of plywood over concrete. The test includes impacts on every face, edge and corner of the device. Further, the device passed an enhanced version of the Transit Drop test consisting of 26 drops from 4 feet onto a concrete surface. "Passed" is defined as the absence of any of the following issues: surface cracks, inoperability of device including camera, and separation of screen from monitor. Device may not perform as tested in all conditions. Test performed in controlled environment. Do not attempt." The Android Authory already made a test and a quick review, and the gorilla glass 4 is shattered, but still worked fine, because of the dual layer touch like in this device.

  • Only 1080p@30fps video??

  • LG does not state that the v10 is shatterproof?!?

  • very poor Design Compared with first turbo model ..........

  • Is battery removable or as traditionally for Motorola shit, garbage non-removable?

  • Great to hear for this device about OLED display ...expecting a lot more from this device that are lacking in moto x play i.e Gyro sensor .... Temperature sensor..... an IR blaster....ofcourse a Long lasting Battery .......and most important Notification LED...

  • over priced we can buy moto x pure rather then this

  • They went beyond the 1080p for sharper images. Check it out.

  • Very good smartphone

  • Motorola back to its glory days

  • Sadly, this is only for USA, Verizon.

  • Impressive stuff. They have never been the first manufacturer I consider when going for a new device, but I've got to hand it to Motorola, they are really pushing this battery thing, and not following in on the 'thinner device and smaller battery is somehow better' trend. Good on them for that.

  • I bet it will last at least 2 days I have a Moto Maxx it is a last years DROID Turbo just rebranded, 5.2" Amoled and same resolution, with Android 4.4.4 lasting 40% longer than 5.0.2 but I have to mention that WiFi, 3G or LTE network and smartwatch connected all the time. My experience is 3 days on 4.4.4 about 65 hours. 2 days on 5.0.2 about 42 hours.

  • Front Camera 5 MP f/2.0 aperture Wide-Angle lens 1.4um pixel for better low light Night mode Flash

  • Holy Cr*p, now that is a battery! Shame they didn't put the resolution at 1080p considering the sub 5.5 inch display, that would have made this thing into a battery life monster (though I'm betting it still will be very very good)

  • Does it have a flash in front also? As from the image, it seems like that.

  • however I think the LGs shutterproof device V10 is will perform better, probably will comes comparing videos and challanges. unfortunately V10 is bigger with 5.7" DualDisplay And got only a 3000mAh battery but has a Military ratings MIL-STD 810G, Moto has their own ShatterShield stuff. Fingerprint sensor, I do not want it at all I thing is a hyped stuff, but many others do. Better cameras. 4GB of RAM looking forward for the tests, reviews and the prices because the LG struggling with the marketing and their sales are far away what they excepted, so maybe getting fast price cuts on their latest devices soon.

  • Its might will released worldwide later like last years device, under name Motorola Force rumors says. if not worldwide but some other countries like brasil and india but if unlocked you can get from ebay.

  • Is it only for Verizon? Looks like a great phone with good battery, such a shame if it's exclusive.

  • That ugly verizon logo....

  • Is this international or only in usa?
