I have this phone for exactly 10 years and still works great, except for the battery, that uncharge in a couple of hours. I remember when I bought it back in 2005, it was the best phone ever. Today, sometimes I still turn it on to play some Java games installed in the phone. I have put the E1000 FW to take it off the Vodafone crap. The only thing about is the rubber cover that fell off, so now it's glossy. Maybe I'll buy a new battery and use it... It have the complete package: charger, phones, data cable, CDs, user manuals, plastics. Very nostalgic phone. Greetings for everyone.

The MicroSD limit is wrong. You can load up to 1 GB into the MicroSD slot and it'll work very well.

all the phones i had before this were very good, i loved motorolla calendar and most of it's features. i would say it's the best on the market, but the applications were not upgraded if i'm right. i loved motorolla v650/630? which was even better than a nokia. but not this one. if the phone was designed to agree to upgrading of software, i would keep buying the same phone the rest of my life. fixing one network(locking) was not such a good idea.

i purchase one in Africa which is vodafone compatible, i then relocated to Australia, yes the phone is not locked, but cannot agree to any other settings, even the vodafone MMS and the network setup. its a very beautiful phone but it does not give you a choice to do anything smart on it.

i think its a good phone. im using one of these from about 2 years and its still working good ... in specifications says extra memory (card) 260 .. i have micro sd 1gb full of mp3 and its working just fine :P

this phone is awful. i have owned it and it is problem after problem. anyone considering it, DONT buy it. my earpiece on this phone is stuffed, so i cant hear the caller. every time i close it, it turns off and resets. it has a crap camera, may as well be called a 0.3mp or WORSE. it has no means of connecting with other phones, no bluetooth or infrared. it has no proper music player. it can only use a memory card up to 250 mb which isnt even worth it at all. it is essentially a BRICK. not practical to carry around in your pocket as it is so big. do not buy it ! you will regret it. i have since moved on to the samsung zv60 and i couldnt be happyer.

This phone is over 3 years old now, so finding parts may prove difficult. I would suggest finding v1050 on ebay to either use as spare parts or replace your unit. This may be cheaper than buying a new ribbon.

Have you installed the disc and let it search for your phone when you start the mobile tools program up? Once youve done that, connect your phone and chose v1050 option on the mobile tools program. A graphic of your open phone should apear at the bottom right corner of your monitor. Give it a few seconds to configure, then select the media option on the right (looks a bit like a bell). From there, select mobile explorer. Then chose either mobile or memory card to view what files you have stored. select then click the transfer to pc icon. Failing that, you can remove your memory card and using the adapter provided, slot it into a card reader. Every line of phone models have units that are problem prone. The dude underneath me has unfortunatly got one. My unit has now been used daily for 3 years with no problems and still holds a weeks charge on the original battery. ! thing i discovered by accident; when choosing the reply option in text msg's, I ticked the person's name I was replying to on the contact list. It sends the text twice and charges you for it.

This phone is great at first, but becomes EXTREMELY problematic. DO NOT BUY IT! I have had countless problems with it, had it replaced once, needs to be replaced again. fails to charge thanks to the stupid charger port, often freezes, takes a painfully long time to start up. It sounds like you may have corrupted your memory card. This can happen if you transfer too many files at the same time. If your able to, try your card in another phone to see if the files open. If not, you may have to reformat your card and start from scratch. I advise backing up the photos, ringtones etc before you format it.

Ive used a one gig "sandisk transflash micro md" card for the past 16 months in this phone, and ive had no problems with it. Only difference ive noticed is mp3's stored on the phones memory is a fraction louder through the speaker than those stored on the memory card.

I find it incredible that Motorola left off the 850 mgh band that is superior to the 1900 here in the U.S. I have ATT that covers most of the country with 1900 towers, but you will not do as well inside buildings without 850. However, you can buy it now at a deep discount that makes up for the lack of an 850 band.Just be careful that your carrier has 1900 coverage.

Ive had this phone for two and a half years. Ive had no problems with this phone. Paint has started to peel on a couple of the keys, but I text alot, so that is expected after the length of time ive used this phone. Ignore some of the comments below. The battery life is good. I only charge my phone once a week and it takes 4 days to drop to 2 bars. The internal screen is easily viewable in direct sunlight, no matter what angle you hold it at. Its better than most upto date phones. The large font is easy to read and now i can't go back to a small screen phone because it makes them look so ridicules. 1 gig memory card has worked with no problems. This is not a music phone and was never marketed as one. Plays mp3s ok with the single speaker. Average ring tone volume. 3G CAN be turned off. You have to go into settings, choose network option and change the frequency. I had to do this because I had this phone unlocked and T-mobile doesnt offer a 3G service. Signal becomes non existent if you put a non 3g network sim card in this phone. Signal strengh depends on your network. T-mobile is poor inside large shops, but Orange gets full strength no matter whereabouts you are (in the U.K). Camera is ok in daylight but very poor in night time situations. Photos DO fill the whole screen when you use them as wallpaper. Mine came with a data cable in the box. I got used to not having bluetooth and proves I dont really need that function. Maximum video capture length is 3 minutes. The wide screen option is good for video playback. For a 3 year old model which can be bought brand new at a budget price, this is a good reliable entry level phone. While the GUI may not be the most eye pleasing to some people, its easy to use and navigate. The ONLY time I have had a blank screen is when ive had it open for too long and the battery save option kicks in. I still use mine daily as I havn't decided which phone to upgrade to yet. I will keep this phone as an emergency back-up once I get a new model. Its never let me down.

well this phone certainly looks very stately but apart from that i wouldnt recomend it to anyone..its doesnt have bluetooth which is the main drawback, you cant download any themes and i still couldnt get the data cable for this cause it isnt available everywhere....and also its quite bulky to carry around.

it is good . but i cant run an airtel sim in it because every time when i call or a call comes the screen goes blank after 10 to50 seconds,and there will be no signal and shows as no servive for a while. this problem comes only on all airtel sim.it runs properly in idea,smart,bsnl . so please help me out in this problem

My phone is great except for the following. 1. I can only play one MP3 song at a time. Anyone know of an MP3 player software available so I can listen to the music in order (like a regular MP3 play or Ipod). 2. Having trouble formatting a 2 GIG Card. Any help out there. 3. My speakerphone part works perfect, but I cannot have a conversation with the internal headset. Any help would be appreciated.

Got to be the worst mobile I ever had. The address book sums it all up, if you have a contact with tree telephone numbers it takes up the whole page !! The GUI just doesnt look good, poor taste, I am on Sony Ericcson now and its hard to get me off them. If I was developing for motorola i would certainly think of writing software with a better graphic user interface, and more ergonomic organisation of the address book for instance.

oh by the way motorola is a crappy brand, i couldent get anything to transfer to the fone so i had to buy a mini memory card with a SD (San Disk) adaptor, (not including the 400/500 megs of software that had to be downloaded) from a european sever which takes about 20 hours to download from where I live >_<

im having a lot of trouble with this fone now, had it for about a year.. it was fine within the first 3 months, then the screen would somtimes turn off after i open it. now a days back when i would txt, every time i pushed a key the screen would rapidly turn of and back on.. and only a few days back the screen just dies everytime i turn it on (slowly fades away or doset turn on at all)

Hmmm...most Motorola`s phones have problems with soft (v3, e398), but i think thats Motorola have great phones...n cheap! on Polish auctions can buy for 50 to 70$(used or new). And software or data cable can be buy also on auctions (ebay or others).

It`s a very bad phone.. i had it for a while, when it appeared... and i had the time to test it. The Soft is awfull... and when i tried to look to the pictures i have taken ... if i made them using the largest resolution for the camera, i had to wait a lottttttt so i can see them...and then the white screen appeared. It`s awfull.. and i had very much care with it.. so technical problemes excluded ( just bad software)

well it looks very sophisticated although one major drwback is it not having blue tooth!..and since the phone is not popular in countries such as srilanka its very hard to get the datacable and software required..but apart from thst its a durable and cool phone.

I got myself one of these about a week ago, and im pretty satisfied. I bought it new and unlocked, and I was wondering if i would want to make a video conference with my friend who has the same phone, do we get charged for that? or is it counted as a regular phone call. We both live in the US under a GSM network and have the same unlocked phones.

Nor really easy to put apps and games on your v1050 but if oyu know how it become easy. And why buy 1 games for 2- 3 $ when u can just download 1000 games for free !!! form torrent engines. My motto: "why pay when u can get it for free" :)) oh, how it's done: 1) u must connect your microSDcard to a Pc adapter/reader so u can vizualize it on your pc. 2) after u can see what's on your card ( not using the motorola application; but using windows EXPLORER ) u enter on your card ( my computer / G: or whatevers your drive) and enter in the "mobile" directory and enter in the hidden directory called KJAVA ( type G:/mobile/kjava/ in explorer bar ) 3) after u'd entered in the kjava hidden directory, just copy the .jar files in there randomly. 4) insert the card in ure v1050 and enter in the game menu/ install new game 5) select the game u want to install and play it ! THAT'S IT & Don't pay for stupid games!i just tried to buy some games by browser and i after i payed for it i got an error, not just one time! just download it via bitorrent or DC++ or whatever.. u will find 1000 game pack for motorola, works great! If u really like the games buy them :p bleah...

Ok guys here goes this is a peice of crap trust me i got it 1month ago and its crap nothing wrong(liek doesnt freeze or anything)but the menu it so crap looks stupied cant change the theme so F*uckin heavy and in the camera option u cant make it full screen so if u take a pic and come to put it as your background its covers half the screen other half is like white doesnt have bluetooth or infared wtf doesnt come with cable and it gets scratched SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO easy and the music speaker is so crap its like mono and there r no options for sound all u can do is shuffle music and turn it up thts all u can do in your mp3 option seriously even if its 100buks dnt get this peice of crap i got it for 750nz dollars now its 400clearance i didnt even bother selling it no one wants them its in my room somewhere ive got a sonyerricson k800i now WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better dnt get this pecie of crap guys may look cool but its homo catcha up

this is a very reliable phone when it comes to using it as a modem never have i experienced any problems with it only my laptop when it hade a virus, but i'm not happy with the fact that it does not have bluetooth and infrared. it should have it's own upgraded model v1050i

i like this phone because i can rely on it. battery lasts for 3 days, with a couple of video`calls per day, gprs works just fine, and as soon as i installed opera mini browser i could surf the net fast and stylish. lots of games that i installed were nice for a few days, then i got bored and installed lots of applications. has a great shock resistance, i dropped it already too many times and has no scratch. the low point is the camera quality, both for photo or video`clips. i also had a razr for a week and didn't like it so much due to the fact that is too wide, fits in a palm in a bad way.

this phone is ok! the battery life is not very good and it is very big and heavy!my friends are always complaining how big it is. i am also dissapointed that there is no bluetooth or infared for such a new-ish phone. on the plus side the picture quality and video are good and really like the internal camera. the mp3 player is also good. i like the design (apart from it being so big) but overall if i was to buy this phone again i wouldn't. my friend got a cheaper 3g phone which is far better and has bluetooth and its video can last fot an hour!!!

Has anyone tried using the MA-8880 datacable instead of the OEM cable? Cos the OEM cable doesn't charge the phone while being used as a modem...A can a data cable limit the speeds of transfer? Like this phone supports 3G is it possible that the data cable only supports GPRS? Thanks

I brought the Motorola v1050. it works great, not sure on battery life..but works well for the price. connectivity? where is that on the phone. cannot complain for it is a cheap version of 3G. I am happy!!

Had this phone six months now. It supports 1gig memory card with no problems so far. The phone worked ok untill i got it unlocked (im not a big fan of vodaphone). Since its been unlocked, 3g doesnt work, even when i put in the original sim card. I cant send or recieve picture messages either. Everything else works ok with a 2g sim card in it. To whoever asked, theres no camara flash but thers is an external light which is OKish. Battery life last about five days on standby. Two days if i use it often. I find it better to plug charger in while im texting or making long calls at home. It means my battery never dies when im out and about. I'll stick with this phone untill an upgrade to the v3x comes out.

Its a good phone... its cheap for a 3g phone but it doesn't have bluetooth or infrared port. another inconvenience is that the phone become slowly if you run out of space on T-Flash. But its a good phone because it is very resistent to shoks. If you drop it... no problem! I like it! It si "a big kid" :)

First you need to buy it's usb cable install the connectivity drivers for it then follow the setup wizard to establish a connection, with a 3G network it can achieve download speeds of 348kb/s, with a standard GSM network it can muster a modest 115kb/s through GPRS

The screen breaks easily because the plastic case over the screen is very flexible and can bend enough to break the main LCD but not get damaged itself. I have had this happen to me. I am trying to find a new replacement screen, but its had to find one. Any contacts?

You can put your mp3 as ringtones,also you can cut part of the music track you like on your pc and than transfer the cut part on the phone. My question:the usb cable can also work as a charger because i did not see the phone charging when it was conected throw the usb cable to the PC?

I forgot to mention.... This phones BT is class 2, which means connectivity up to 10m. The E1070 upgrade/replacement mobile I mentioned, features BT class 1. You know what? 100m range sounds good? Same thing as with V3i

I had this phone in 2005 summer. I was using it with vodafone 3G and 2/2.5G, with Greek Cosmote 3G and 2/2.5G, with TIM 2G/2.5G, and all worked fine.. Just dont expect to connect to UMTS 2100 when not having a USIM card in the phone! I would suggest you though to look at the new E1070, which is like an upgrade to that phone... it looks better, and of course is unbranded, without VF Live! menus, which gives u some pros, but many cons (file transfer, Bluetooth use, Digital Rights Management of files, blah blah blah.. The choice is yours mate :)

The internal screen on my motorola V1050 broke within a few weeks of purchase. It was repaired under guarantee as there was no evidence of any impact damage to the phone. Then I eventually got it back, there was a problem with white screen and within a few weeks the internal screen broke again. I mind my phone very well and I believe this is a design flaw. I am wondering if anyone else experienced this problem.

Thanks Mihnea but that isn't my problem. The USB cable works but my videos that were taken with the phone and downloaded on my PC have no sound nomater what program I use(BS player; Windows Media Player). Do your videos have sound?

I got this phone about a week ago. I spent 129 USD on it...in the package i received a 32MB card and a USB data cable... I will divide my post in good and bad :P BAD: 1.Battery lasts only one day (i use it a lot,btw). 2.Installing apps is complicated, i'm still not sure i can do it using the software provided by Motorola 3.As everybody said: NO ir, NO bluetooth 4.No full screen picture view, instead you can see videos at full screen.... GOOD: 1.Big screen, high resolution 2.It's UMTS, not GSM! 3G rules! It's fun! 3.It has a kind of palyer included. You make a playlist, select "play", and than "hide". You will see it's easy to use. 4.I can't complain about the camera, it's pretty good. P.S. It's silver. NOW, does anybody has any ideea how to upload apps WITHOUT A CARD READER? I want to de it using the USB cable provided...

I tried to install a jar file onto the mobile using the SD card method but when I went to copy and paste the file into the kjava folder it told me that it was write protected. I tried removing the 'read only' check from the box in the folder properties but it still told me the file was write protected. any body any sugggestions?

actually, at least on my phone, there isn't java loader in the settings menu.. you can turn it on with programs like p2ktools, but in this way if you do something wrong am don't do some backups you risk to damage your phone... it is possible anyway to load games via usb.. but not officialy, in the sense that at factory settings java loader isn't enabled on this phone..

It is very simple to install new games. Just go to the settings menu and after that java uplink. Turn java up loader on and you will be asked to insert cable. After you had inserted the cable use your file management program to up load the jar and jad file. This should do.

Looks nice on paper. Total crap at use. All the nice features are shadowed even spoiled by its weakness points: - Battery life is very short when you do UMTS calls, surf the web, play MP3s - Comunication: no IR, no Bluetooth, cable no included (bad bad motorola) - Cable does not use the USB power to recharge you battery and it is impossible to use your chager whislt connect with USB cable (which is a piece of crap as the lockers can easily get off their grips). - Less than one month of use I got the withe screen defect. Waited 3 week for repair. The same day of returning, guess what? White screen again...

well, to install games throgh usb cable it's a bit more tricky.. i really suggest you get a cheap usb card reader and do the method i told you before.. anyway to put games on fone via usb cable i don't know precisely how to, but if you look in forums dedicated to this phone you'll certainly find the answer!!! the only thing i can tell you is that you will have to go and modify original phone software to do this... bye!

@ curt: it's really strange... this phones works brilliantly in playing mp3's (supports until 256 kbps).. you should be able to apply any mp3 you want like ringtone by going into sounds folder and, once selected the file, by clicking central menu key and then selecting "apply as ringtone".. the only case where you can't select this option is when you are in silent mode.. check it out!

always @ gandalf: Anyway camera is quite bad.. I don't know if you've ever seen the quality of Sharp mobile's cameras.. nothing to do with the one in this phone.. i must say that in daylight the photos are not bad at all.. the real bad thing of it is that with an average light condition, already the background noise is evident.. with poor light you can see mainly a photo full of background noise, not clear at all.. Bt adapter is rubbish.. you can't transfer files with other phones and you can't use the phone as a mobile modem, due to the ridicoulous transfer speed.. u use it only for wireless handhelds, i think... @alex: the keys background light colour is something like blue/purple

@gandalf: you're right, I was quite imprecise about uploading apps.. anyway this is the procedure: 1)take out the Tflash from your phone and put it into the Sd adapter 2)insert the adapter into a memory card reader 3)in windows, select the card you've inserted in My Computer; 4)you will see 3 folders: audio, video & picture.. now select from the top menu of the window tools=> folder options 5) now select visualization (or something similar) and then untick "hide protected system files" 6) click ok and now you will see that u can see some more folders: the folder you must select is called "kjava" 7)simply drag&drop your own j2me application: more precisely you only need the .jar file(that contains all the data).. the .jad file isn't required 8) switch on the phone. Then go in games=> install new=> and now click on the application you have previously uploaded on the phone 9) follow the indications and enjoy your app on th phone!!! (@ this point you can delete the .jar file on the phone).. cheers!

i bought it and it's a good phone for this price(150 euro in Romania).problems - no bluetooth nor irda, battery life is 2 or 3 days if i don't use media too ofte,the alarm is not ringing if the phone is turned off, u cannot see fullscreen pictures.

I'll give some answers: 1)this phone is officily sold without Bluetooth.. and I haven't seen anyone who managed to activate it.. so at this point I think this phone hasn't got BT :( ; 2)to upload files on the phone you've got two choices: one is to buy the cable and use the official motorola software called Mobile Phone Tools, and the other is to upload file via SD adapter that you should find in the package. I suggest to use the second option because is cheaper (here in Italy cable+CD=39Euro, while USB memory card reader=7Euro)and much quicker in transferring files: infact the memory card is much much quicker than the cable. Anyway I think that there's nothing wrong with the antenna! It gives the phone a retr� look..

so far, motorola has been nothing but a headache..only good thing about it is the bluetooth (where ppl use it to basically jack it off of someone who actually paid for the ringtone...but who's complaining..) camera and video quality sucks....it lags like crazy...and i jsut had it for about half a year now and it just suddenly blacked out, everything else works but its just BLACK! i dont suggest you get the v551...or any other motorolla phone..best phone is nokia or panasonic or even the LG

Continously dropping calls, getting messages on my phone when it was right in front of me and didn't even ring! Saying I'm out of coverage when on previous phones I'm not and shouldn't be. It has lots of problems with voice calls (sometimesis a nightmare): - a call drop during conversation several time - receptor complains they listen very badly (noise and voice interrupted) - when I dial a number it gives the message "Fails" several times - The phone doesn't ring and goes directly to voice mail - the battery is not very good It seems E1000 is not very good phone capting the network signal. I've now the oportunity to exchange E1000 by a Motorola V1050. Some people says V1050 has the same problems of E1000 (drop calls/quality of voice) and to change from E1000 to V1050 is not going to solve the problems ....and the Mobile V1050 phone is not as good as E1000. I've looked for but I couldn't find any comparison about the quality of the signal and of the voice calls... What is the best ...to stay with E1000 or to exchange by V1050 ? No, the DC600 isn't used to exchange files (audio, video,images) between the phone and other devices.. it can only be used with handsfree devices and make the phone go like wireless modem... Be careful! the phone is 3G and only with the data cable you can use the full power of this Network (384 kbps in download)through your computer... the bluetooth adapter instead will let you use internet only at 3.2 kbps...

At first look, it is a great cool mobile phone. After 3 month, I can tell it really sucks. I makes me regret my old Timeport. The 2 major problems: - communication with PC: no IR, no Bluetooth. Cable is not provided by default and the softwareS (both V1050 and BVRP) are buggy (many crashes) and damned slow. You can't recharge battery when connected to your PC. - I had it repaired because I got a whitescreen and 3 days later it happens again. Seems to be a connection problem in the axis of the clamp. My advise: DO NOT BUY THESE MODELS!!

I answer to jack's questions: *video recording last max 3 minutes; *you can use the voice recording utility only if you are "writing" an MMS.. you cand send it in the message, but you can't save it in your phone (unless you send yourself an MMS!); the recorded format is an AMR 8,000khz.. *to be honest the phone is quite easy to use; *i find the phone's software appereance not at all cool, so every function isn't very nice to look at.. anyway I think the audio player has a very good quality, both in earphones and through the mono speaker.. even the video player is quite good: you can see really well mp4 movies @ full screen thanks to its 240X320 pixel display.. The camera, althought it's 1,3 mpix, doesn't do really good photos, in particular when there isn't natural lightning..but they are more than ok..the digital zoom isn't very useful.. the videoclips aren't very good and the zoom is not fluid like in the SE v800 for example.. the image viewing is annoying: one buys a phone with a huge display, and can't see his photos @ full screen (only half is used to see the photos).. and there's NO bluetooth.. shame because the main disgrace of this phone is the software, that ruins a phone that could be much better than it actually is..

Actually you can only set as ringtones non-protected mp3s.. to put the songs on the phone from the computer you just have to put the trans flash card into the adapter and then put it into a memory card reader, that costs peanuts.. then you just have to drag&drop the songs you want in the folder named "audio".. easy! I can confirm from here in Italy that this phone has NO bluetooth when sold by Vodafone.. But since I still haven't seen a no-vodafone-branded V1050, it's very unlikely that a V1050 with Bluetooth will ever exist.. even if there are some websites that include it in the features of this phone.. Jack, could you tell us something more about V1050's Bluetooth in New Zealand? Any way, you can find lots of information about this phone @ this forum: its in italian, but there's also an English version.. XD

Hi all. I have been looking around. I am in New Zealand and the Motorola does have Bluetooth. I think all you need to do is before you do anything go into settings and clikc restore factory settings. ALl vodafone has done is tricked you into thinking it doesnt have bluetooth. hello. is anyone using this motorola v1050 with Cingular?, i can't connect to the internet, I called Cingular and they told me that they don't support this motorola v1050, i tried to enter the settings my self but I'm still not able to connect to the internet, also I'm using a mac computer, the only way i see to transfer MP3 and video is via SD card reader, I'm going to the store right now to buy the reader, because using the usb cable on my mac, no way I will be able to transfer mp3 and video...

Bought one in Ireland for 79 euro, spent another 40 euro on a 256MB TransFlash card. Very nice display, camera ok, quite heavy. Can anyone tell me how to view a picture full-screen? When I view a Picture or a Picture Album, half the screen is taken up with the menu, controls, etc. What's the point in having a 320x240 screen if you can't use it? Also, is it possible to rotate pictures?

Solid, really Cool, no builtin Bluetooth, Stereo Headset. The external camera, in spite of its 1.3Mpixels, is not as good as it could be (The light compensation, in particular). To succeed in moving data *FROM* and TO phone I had to upgrade the Motorola Mobile PhoneTools PC620 from the bought version (2.0) to the latest released(3.25b), through its Install/LiveUpdate menu option (I'm a bit guessing the menu items, as I've installed the italian version). It took some hours (more than 40MB, at 56K :( ), but it now works very smoothly, with a fancy interface reproducing with good precision (not 100% match on function keys) the v1050 layout. I only have a residual issue with old SMS transfer; new ones give no problems. The software doesn't control recharging, but the PC620 [USB] cable has a hole to attach the recharger in parallel. A bit annoying (two wires) but it works. A non-original datakit provider claims to be able to do recharge through USB, on kit package; I haven't tried that specific kit, but I have experience of a datakit from the same provider (for another phone) that has that feature (the companion software was ugly, though). HTH.

The "Organiser" is very poor, you can only enter date and some words and how you want to have the reminder. You can synchronize your phone by USB-cable with Outlook on your comp. But you need the software, drivers and the cable (sold separatedly). And NO, there is absolutely no bluetooth or infrared option. I checked everywhere in internet: but until today NO ONE is able to download the picture FROM the camera to the computer by USB. Uploading TO the camera is no problem. I will try with a card reader during the weekend. If you have succeeded then please give info how and where you got the software from (with linkies). Please refrain from saying "just use pk2man" or "momo". I already tried this.

it's a very good phone with a excelent screen one of the best very good loking to and with a smooth touch. 3G also good only one thing it's missing the bluetooth but he as a pc cable to conect. MP3 with a good tflash card i enjoy many musics in the total very good 3G motorola phone!

u can connect the mini sd card in the mobile |(next to the sim) to the SD adaptor which comes with the phone. My laptop has a SD slot so u can connect the adaptor there. OR u can put the SD adaptor to any digital camera using SD mem and then upload ftom camera to computer through usb.

I live in the Canary Isles and i have waited for this phone to arrive in the vodafone shop for 3 weeks. I have always had Sony-ericssons before and recently changed it for Motorola v1050. I had it for 2 hours and found that the Multimedia or Ring tones when scrolling down stuck and the screen froze and this happened evey time i went into this. I had a Sony-ericsson K700i which i had before was easier to use but i wanted a flick top and i found the V800 to big so i went for the Motorola v 1050. I am waiting for a replacement phone but if anyone else has had problems please e-mail me.

This phone does look very good, but i agree that it should have bluetooth which isn't stated in the specs. This should be standard in new phones really. I hope vodaphone doesn't restrict the connectivity by it being branded like it has done in the past with some phones...

This mobile isn't bad, just too bad it's Vodafoned. I must admit, Vodafone always grabs the best mobiles, all mine are Vodafone branded. But features suffer greatly under the Red SIM. So anyway, this fone looks quite nice, though I'm always in doubt of the MOTO Cameras. 1.3 MPx with such a small lense can't be decent. Either you make some room for the lense and leave the other crap (what's that big metal circle for???)or you just don't try so hard. The camera on the MPx220 was a huge disappointment, and on most other V-Phones it's just as bad.
