Nokia 3.1 - User Reviews

  • I love this phone. I have it and it's a great phone for NZD$199. Nokia is VERY underrated and I will look towards Nokia for my next phone.

  • Its a perfect phone for its price

  • I experience the same issue every time.. phone suddenly switch off at 30%.. this is two bad, I bought it brand new, I have used it for 9 months.

  • Most applications are not responding

  • I could say no words about his phone. Phone got dropped in water almost half bucket high when there was no power I switched the flash light on and kept it on a soup box. Unfortunately that slipped and happened to drop in the bucket, I thought that's gone but still I could see the flash light is on in the water bucket and phone is working absolutely fine, speaker got damaged a lill bit but when I charged next day speaker is also working fine. I could say Nokia is Nokia forever. Thanks Nokia

  • The worst phone ever. the battery is not good. suddenly off the phone without giving a signal.

  • July update messed my phone up

  • This phone is great. Camera is pretty good. System is decent. For the price this phone is 5 starts. And also I dropped it in water for 3-4 seconds full dipp and I let it dry for 4 days. And it works like new. Just had to adjust battery protection settings. This phone is awesome can't believe it survived water damage.

  • Download SD maid OR CPU Z just search "phone detail" on play store. You'll get many apps that tell you your device specs.

  • Please I want to check the ram of my Nokia 3.1. how do I do that on my phone?

  • You are right on lags.. network loss etc

  • they have manufactures in china

  • Really ? I wanna buy it but I'm not sure. I'm afraid that it hangs and having lags when im using it. Can u help

  • I ordered for nokia 3.1 ,its now 24 june, upto now I have not received any alert about by phone, your delivery is pathetic, you take too long with orders, poor marketing strategy,i need questions a bout my phone

  • its always heating, poor battery backup, poor software lack of features

  • Banggood or gearbest dot Com

  • I have owned Nokia 3.1 for seven months now. I updated it to Android pie and it runs smoothly. It is fast though the camera is not the best but it takes good pictures. Battery can get you through the day. I only wished that the screen was notch display and it had finger print scanner. The phone works super fine.

  • What country you in? I know where

  • @Michael T yes there is the 3gb ram 32gb version, search on AMAZON.COM

  • I think the Chinese bought the company.

  • I cannot find anywhere I can buy the 3gb RAM version of this phone. I think 3gb RAM on this phone is a mistake. Someone please change the information on this page.

  • But on the bag is put " Made in China"

  • Thank you for you comment ,it could save a lot of people and i hope you make a commet like that on every smartphone you try ,as for the bit of your comment ,i should say that refurbished smartphones are sold in the third countries like where i live as brand new with there original prices ,shame on many companies that do that .

  • it runs smoothly also with Pie update !

  • I bought Nokia 3.1 from ebay for £20 as it was broken. Seller described it as "stuck in boot loop" but on examination, it was hardware problem not software problem. I am a software engineer so hardware not my speciality but I fixed the issue, almost. (1) when the battery has less than 1% charge it goes into a loop where it charges to 1% then discharges to 0% thus battery never recharges. Fixed this by removing the battery, charging it, putting it back. Now have to remind myself to never let phone run down battery completely. I mention this as a tip for other owners. (2) power and volume buttons faulty - replaced the connector. Now phone switches on/off, volume down works, but no volume up. The design of this part of the phone is quite clumsy. They seem to have cut corners on the budget. I suspect many Nokia 3.1 will develop issues with batteries or power/volume control because failure is engineered in. I despise Google. Tried to root the phone and remove Gapps. Was unable to do so. As a compromise, did not sign up to Google account, disabled all Google apps, and installed more ethical alternatives. Installed Blokada app to stop remaining Google spyware constantly streaming data from phone. Installed Asus launcher because it is pretty - and offers option of hiding unused apps. By limiting Google activity, the phone is now much better performing - very fast, ROM occupies minimal space, and all activity is strictly private, no advertising ever appears on the phone or apps or in the browsers. Takes good pictures. And I am able to increase font size and change the font face to suit my old eyes. Good phone for grannies like me. Android Oreo is great without Google. Conclusion, Nokia 3.1 is well worth £20 and a bit of effort to tweak settings. I could probably sell it for more than I paid, even with a still faulty volume up button. Would I buy new? No. I never buy new. I buy old and refurbish - and so should every person concerned about saving the planet. And their own money.

  • After upgrade to 9.0 always freezing. Do not buy.

  • Bought Nokia 3.1 - 2 weeks before. Works fine. Good display. Good front and back camera. 3days battery backup as ordinary phone. More than 1.75 days as average. And with internet through wifi, social network, YouTube battery reduced to 40% in 6 hours. No heating issue. Updated to pie works good. The problem I face is if I search anything in settings ex: theme. Initially it shows no results, Sometimes it shows theme alone, sometimes it shows themes as one results and the second as wallpaper. Earphone good quality. Charges normally. Light weight. Super panel. Speaker quality is ok. Excellent touch. Excellent mic. Continuous usage of 6 hours no heating issue. ~9gb out of 32gb will be consumed by mobile initially.

  • this month google patch received today in nokia 3.1 (Iran)

  • Chinese? Nokia is a Finnish brand, nothing to do with China

  • There are several big lies behind this product. Chinese are the master of lies. Never ever buy a Chinese product. Although internal Storage is shown 16GB, It says 8GB has occupied by System, in reality it's just 8GB. I had an earlier same experience with a Chinese laptop. They manipulated the OS to show wrong Specs. Apps like CPUx reveal the reality. Just 8GB. OTG doesn't work fine with all memory disks, which are absolutely alright with other Mobiles. Many apps have problems with manipulated OS. I tried 10 different versions of BS player. None worked fine. Same story with many other apps. Proximity sensor range is 1cm. Just 1cm!!! My galaxy j1 ace is by so far a king compared to this piece of junk. Chinese version of Nokia is just Shi....

  • 4.5 ~ 5 hours with 4G usage

  • I saw in a review on youtube that the 2GB RAM version of this phone has 600 MB free RAM out of the box

  • Can you please tell me how much screen on time hours did you get?

  • Nokia care said to me you can use face unlock at this address in Nokia3.1: Settings – Security & Location – Smart Lock – Trusted face but there in not this items in this way Also in setting search !

  • everything is great but (battery screen on time) is not good so much , hope to see better battery backup in future updates

  • I want to know how is the wifi connection speed on this phone? Also, what about the multitasking?

  • please would love to know your experience after upgrading to Android 9.0, most especially battery and performance, thank you

  • How much ram is free in the 2gb version after a restart?????? As it runs Android one, so Does it get more ram free than the customized ui ones(miui, one ui, emui..)

  • Seriously, you expect these features on an entry level phone? USB Type C, notif light, fingerprint sensor? Even some mid range and flagships these days don't have those ya know?

  • Chipset very old mediatek 6750. Overheat issue

  • Very disappointed. No notification blinks, no usb-c, no fingerprint logon, apps' settings don't work. Could be Nokia, could be Android One, could be both. After 3 weeks already totally fed up with it and looking for something else. Don't make same mistake as I.

  • Same here

  • The phone has been giving me problems since the day I bought it. Files don't show music or audios from my SD card, Google music player also is not able to find music from my phone. Last number, the phone switches off volume evreytime I put in earphones and remove them it's it does not detected when they've been removed. It is stressing the heck out of me. I miss Samsung big time.

  • Battery is an AHOLE!! no good

  • Do not buy this phone and if you do do not upgrade to android 8.1 or 9 The upgrade to 8.1 made the phone slow but everything worked. On 8.0 you could see youtube videos at 1080p 60 fps, after the updates its a no go, 9.0 update broke a lot of things, check the nokia forum, I never regreted buying a smartphone like i did buying it, the updades seem to getting worse filled with bugs like in a custom rom, nokia never again! Twich at 720 60 is only 30fps, even my Huawei p8 lite going 4 years can do that.... Stay away, you can buy much better with the same money.

  • Nokia 3.1 very good phone, battery, compact, speaker, android one, screen...good job!

  • remove the bezel, and it would be the perfect size for a smartphone. Nokia! do you hear me?! maybe 3.3!

  • i have one for over than 4 month the camera is not great but not to bad, the battery is not that strong but over all it is a great phone

  • No you are wrong..the camera is not awful, the camera is fine actually. Of course if compare to other high-end phones the camera is lacking but it still takes good photo for my standard. 13mp camera is quite good actually. Upgrade the OS to Android 9.0 you get an even better photo, trust me upgrade your Nokia 3.1 to Android 9.0 and you will see the difference. Lots of new tweaks also.

  • This phone grew on me, I like the phone. Look it's a simple phone nothing over the top it doesn't break dance.

  • camera is aweful!!!!! I have one for 3 months now. But the rest of the phone is great.

  • I got this barely a week ago and it's always hot! The battery doesn't last and you can't do much with the camera.

  • just bought it 2 days ago..great phone at its price very awesome..nokia still d best king of all phones when it comes to durability its a total package unique built on its own range..good job nokia.d only downtime is d battery when using the very fast 4g lte built d rest its perfect.i dont want to upgrade 9.0 pie i might get bugs slow performance and upcoming future upgrades that might not support on for the sytem. I will stick to 8.0 oreo because the cpu processor and ram is truly dedicated with the unit itself.

  • i have been using this phone for 4 month now..my device is 32gb/3g ram version..good phone..compact n lightweight..nice display..speaker is loud..performance i give 7.2/10..camera is decent..take 2 n half hour to charge..overall rating 7/10 if u can buy it for under usd150..

  • Waooo...this phone is super good, I'm in love with it... All features working quite good, upgraded it to Android 9.0 working faster now...

  • bravo!!!!

  • Sir, it has 2 sim slots, for sd card separate slot

  • but i fell that android 8.1 was faster and don't use the processor to much like android pie

  • My experience with this phone is really great. Still have the old Nokia strength in it. I drop this phone so many times, sleep on top of it many times, fell outside of the car when my earphone get tangle, still, it works like charm. If other phone brands definitely will break the lcd screen, but Nokia still have that tough in it. No problem charging battery. The best thing that I like is the 4G LTE antena which is super strong. I don't have any drop of signal. Oh yes may be a bar or two but the 4G LTE is still there. I sell and use a lot of phone models in my life, and I know how the antenna strength of some phone models. If you want a good, budget, cheap, tough phone then this Nokia 3.1 is for you. This is only the middle performance Nokia phone, imagine if you buy their highend models with 3gb ram or more. Imagine what you will get for your money. It's worth the money you spend. Kudos to Nokia and team for a job well done.

  • I just received Android Pie 9.0 update for my Nokia 3.1 yesterday. Kudos to Nokia for giving the updates timely. Who would have thought that. Thanks Nokia. Now my camera have slow motion and time lapse feature which is very good.

  • I used this phone for few months already, since day one Nokia did provide a built in gallery (photos), calculator and a music player (Google play music). Please don't mix up Samsung gallery with Nokia. Nokia use (photos apps) not gallery. As for low space, for 16gb the system takes more space. But there is a solution. You can use your Sd Card to become your internal memory. When you slot in your sd card, the system will prompt whether you want your sd card to be part of internal memory or external memory. If you choose "internal" then your sd card will merge with your system memory and you will have a bigger memory for your phone. Please bear in mind once you choose internal memory, you must not remove your sd card before doing a backup.

  • I don't think you know how to use easy

  • I was excited about getting it but I regret buying it. 1 the space is too little, the phone comes with very few built in apps, I had to download gallery, calculator as well as music player which actually come standard in other phones. The storage is another problem, it is difficult to move your file from the phone storage to the SD card. It jams out of the blue and it's frustrating to the core. I will soon be getting a new phone.

  • 2 days for me good. Compact

  • Don't give fake review

  • Did U get a dudd 3hours lol try 1

  • I bought Nokia 3.1 32gb/3gb, it is dual sim phone and separate slot for SD card, but I am not satisfied much with battery.

  • Worst Ever Phone Worst Camera quality Most Fu** All Speakers no Fuc**** Sound output Runs bloody so slow Takes more than 3 hours to get fully charged Total waste of money Really regretting my decision of buying this fuc**** phone

  • superb long lasting phone with powerful performance efficiency..MediaTek is great for budget phones like this

  • Nokia 3 2017 when will it get pie?

  • use SD card as internal storage can move facebook unlike samsung. Battery is great on mine , good buy cant complain.. stock android. Pie will make it rip!!

  • Cool ....good buy $100.

  • q1 19

  • when get pie??

  • In First quarter this year

  • When get pie??

  • Nokia 3.1 and 3.1plus both are a good buy. One thing to be pointed out- SOC of 3.1 has configuration same as SD 615 found on Moto G turbo. I loaded custom ROM (9.0 version) on Moto G turbo and it's working like new. However, Nokia both Nokia 3.1 are good buy for price tag. Vanilla Android makes it a great user experience.

  • Thats old model 3 not 3.1

  • I have nokia 3.1 with 3gb ram and 32gb bought from nokia website DE. It works well. I can recommend it. Good akku, works fast.

  • I can use SD card. I have an 8gb memory in it and SIM card also. Is the 2GB RAM version . I dont know how can You not managed to insert it as long i can...

  • *£70

  • The best phone I have ever used.Has everything at its perfection..😎

  • Good phone. Been using it for a week now and it's smooth and fast. My only issue is that my previous phone, Nokia 2.1 seems to play pes2019 better than my Nokia 3.1, which I find strange since Nokia 3.1 should be more powerful with octacore and all that.

  • £69 unlocked from Tesco today, great value and well featured.

  • will you please explain the reason?

  • I want to buy Nokia 3.1, how's the front camera at night?

  • Don’t buy Nokia waste money

  • Nokia 3.1 does not use hybrid slot so we can put both sims and micro sd card

  • Battery quality lasts 5 hours on intensive use ( that means playing games for 5 hours straight) Camera is decent, pictures on selfie camera look ten times better than back camera. Processor is GREAT like no lag and doesn't heat up unless you play games like pubg on high setting. Pricing isn't good except I paid only 100 dollars for it so it was worth it for me.

  • **** I bought one, the commentor is right, don't buy this phone

  • Never buy this phone. period

  • Yes but, you can't put your memory cards on. 'cause nokia 3.1 use hybrid slot

  • Nokia Hardware is amazing....but camera just terrible period..i just dint understand why nokia is doing bad cameras bearing in mind they had the a reputation back in days of lumia phones.they need to fix their cameras its just bad bad.

  • I used this phone for two weeks, it's battery life is just amazing way better than that of Nokia 5

  • 1 word Amoled

  • Nah samsung is the one that is dying very bad phones at least at the budget segment

  • Yes.

  • Samsung will always be a winner for battery life, os display. Waiting for that gorjus one UI coming . Nokia will die in a year

  • I bought Nokia 3.1 at MR PRICE STORE in South Africa and I was expecting phone of Dual SIM. They gave me one of Single SIM and the next day I went to them to complain and nobody helped me. Does Nokia 3.1 takes Dual SIM?

  • Beautifully crafted....lagfree.. after Nokia N9 I own this Nokia beauty along with Nokia 8110 4g.....bcz I hate windows ( always Linux)

  • you must buy a high end if you lookin for a good camera. You bear in your mind that you just get what you pay for.

  • The camera is a shame, or a really really bad joke. Dark pictures has a lot of slight red noise everywhere, but you also have a lot of noise even on day pictures, which make it impossible to have something clear when you zoom into details. If you want to take a photo of something with the flash, you have ABSOLUTELY NO WAY of having something with the good light : it will be over-saturated or completely dark, taking a picture of an object with flash simply doesn't work, I've never seen this before. A shame.

  • How is the camera guys ,I want to buy it

  • nokia 3.1 out off the box 8.0 upgrade to 8.1

  • I am a biggest fan of Nokia but Why always low spec?😔

  • 3.1 plus

  • MicroSD up to 128 GB

  • I just buy one for 99,00€ in Portugal

  • what phone the best to buy NOKIA 5 or NOKIA 3.1

  • Go to settings and see if you can disable and then re-enable the keyboard. Or download touchpal

  • i dont understand why do some people always compalining about the performance of this phone where in fact it does a great job in its price.. i just bought one last week and i got the 32gb internal and 3gb of ram for 9,990 pesos philippine money and it actually does a great job for its price. u can really enjoy the power of octacore in it and it doesnt lag. what i really like about this phone is that it has a built in gyroscope that you cannot find in most low budget phones (gyroscope is essential to play virtual reality movies and games).. my samsung galaxy j6 2018 lags most of the time compared to this beast. it has a good display, crispy camera output front and back especially if u use hdr.. pictures will not looked washed out when you zoom in. even the experia L2 looks like a crap compared to this one when you zoomed in the pictures taken in it. i even played heavy games such as medal of honor and 3d sniper yet it doesnt lag at all. its still so fluid even it is set at best quality output.. the only downside that i observed about this phone is the heating issue and poor battery life. it has 2990mah battery but it drains quickly like having 1600mah.. well thats all i can say based on a week of usage.. nothing more, nothing less.. some people here just exaggerated too much about the issue of this phone where in fact it only has two or three issues.

  • This phone is a joke I am stuck with it atm as I always wait for contract to end, but I don't know if I can take it much longer I may buy out contract cos this phone is a heap. Restarts when accessing some apps not all the time but its so inconsistent Battery is the biggest joke of the thing it lasts no time worst I have ever had drains so quick and takes an age to charge back up from flat. Sometimes I will go to get it to look at something from my pocket and its switched off! Lastly it call drops with near enough 100% signal (Not sure if this is network and not the phone). I have had a lot of Nokia's in the past before HMD and I have to say it does not feel like Nokia at all, the Lumias I owned where brilliant.

  • If you are using samsung and planning to switch on this mobile. don't think about it. Very slow performance. front camera is worst for video calling. Rear camera is not so good. Overall review is waste of money to buy this

  • Youtube does not play 1080p video due to HD+ display

  • The internals of this phone are quite low spec, I've only had it for 2 weeks and the memory I'd almost full (only downloaded three apps besides the ones that came with the phone and barely taken any photos). Having said that... the build quality is amazing. Because it's such a cheap phone, I didn't bother getting a case and it is really holding up to the abuse it's getting. Also feels really nice and I really like that the back is matte. Never understood the obsession for glass backs that pick up fingerprints, or worse yet hide behind a plastic case. If Nokia could combine the build quality and size of this phone with some decent specs, they'd be in tk a winner.

  • After 2 weeks have lost the keyboard and cannot send e mails or sms. Useless as this is essential for work and no idea how to correct the wretched error.

  • I don't know why Gsmarena has given this phone such a low review score. At this price range there are always some trade offs to be made. With the 3.1, the storage and processing power might be a bit low, but you can always add a memory card to store pictures and videos and remove all the unnecessary apps to keep it running smoothly. That's the first thing I do, remove all the garbage and disable all of googles garbage as well. On the positive side, this phone has an excellent camera and screen. The colours on both are punchy and the contrast ratio of the screen is extremely high for any price point, specially for an LCD. In design and build quality, it really has no rivals except other Nokia phones.

  • If you are getting both at the same price then go for the Nokia 5. Nokia 3.1 should be at least 15 usd cheaper if its the 16 GB version. If its 32 GB at the same price as a Nokia 5, then you decide. Nokia 5 has a bigger screen, finger print sensor and better speaker but 16 Gb storage.

  • Boor battery performance (KSA)

  • Couple of weeks in use. Very sturdy and cheap phone ~130€

  • I have being using it for some days, it is more than good for its price range (at least for my favorite smartphone compact styles). Especially with AndroidOne, everything looks different showing a big difference in the user experience, I recommend buying this phone

  • Because pixel count alone doesn't guarantee image quality, and to be fair in good light the camera does deliver good enough pics, but the auto focus and capture are slow...I've managed some adequate social media pics of landscapes, skyscapes and woodland plants

  • Yes it does

  • I checked this phone in Bestbuy.. Phone looks fine for the price. But camera quality is not good even though it shows 13MP. Why?. Very disappointed. Form factor was fine for me.. and I am looking for compact 5-5.2" phones..

  • 3.1 is a sturdy piece.

  • what about the made quality, nokia or redmi?

  • The phone screen is 720p so it would

  • yes

  • Yes

  • Does Nokia 3.1 play 720p videos on youtube

  • Does it have dedicated SD Slot?

  • Should I buy this over Nokia 5?

  • Has this phone been released to the US/International market yet?

  • yes boi it's gonna get 9.0 because of android one boii

  • and processor too

  • Will 3.1 get a Android Pie update?

  • Seems to be a good phone... I need to get it...

  • Nice phone! Battery backup excellent and camera also. I Love NOKIA .

  • Good performance good low light photographi

  • nokia 3.1 or huawei Y5 prime 2018,which is better??/

  • If you read specs, it clearly mentions FM radio availablity. Call recording is possible with 3rd party apps available on play store.

  • Does the Nokia 3.1 have the same multi touch problem in games as the Nokia 3?

  • Does Nokia 3.1 have FM and call records functions

  • No

  • Note 5 with 4000 mAh battery and efficient SD SoC is always better.

  • What about the battery life for normal usage?

  • Note 5 is always better. Though 3.1 is not bad. But it is SoC on note 5 which makes it a better choice. Note 5 has SD 625 but 3.1 use mediatek SoC. This mediatek SoC is similar to SD 615 used in Moto G turbo from 2015. But mediatek lacks the fine tuned / sync of CPU GPU performance that SD625 offers. Prefer Redmi note 5 if given a choice for long run. I have had my hands on experience on both theses devices and I liked the performance on SD 625. One cannot notice differences easily but SoC does make differences over longer period of time.

  • Redmi note 5 or Nokia 3.1 which is better?

  • Does it have ambient display feature and reading mode?

  • Depends on what you like. Nokia 3.1 is a latest device of nokia and it is android one while Nokia 5 has a fingerprint unlock and can get the Android 9 within this year but this could be the last OS update. So it depends on you

  • You're right, battery is only the down side.

  • Either are fine. However, prefer Nokia 3.1. being recently released and also being part of Android One, it shall be supported by updates a year more than Nokia 5. You may go for 5.1 if you wish.

  • which is better for money nokia 5 or nokia 3.1

  • hello everybody. qhich is better nokia 5 or nokia 3.1?

  • Thank you James for the information here we have the TA-1063 I will look out for the TA-1049 valiant.

  • Hello, I am about to buy this phone, but I can assure you that ONLY the LATAM, NAM version (gsmarena label) has the LTE Band 28(700), so the specs here are right (not always the case). That would be Nokia 3.1 TA-1049, greetings

  • A great phone with some good specs I believe and mine was the 16GB model - I've just got mine today so I will test out the features, however, I personally am a bit disappointed that the storage available to the user is only 7.52GB of space to use and that the other 8.48GB is taken up by the system - this is over half the space that is used up by the phone and inaccessible to to the user which is a lot. I personally would have hoped that this phone would have 13GB of space available to the user.

  • Is this phone is hang or not when we use so many apps

  • Can someone confirm if this phone has LTE band 28(700) there is a complain about this in this forum.

  • Very true!!

  • No!

  • it does not work with Sum UP or PayPal here credit card machines can the software be improved so it is compatible.

  • Does it have LED notification

  • I'm using this phone. No hitting problem. Very good service . Smooth and first.

  • I have been using Nokia 3.1 for one month. Service is very good. First and smooth service. I'm pleased.

  • Bluetooth audio is terrible when a smartwatch is also connected via BLE. Wired audio is mediocre at best - noise levels are quite bad.

  • Do this phine has Finger print lock?

  • The phone has a great look along with amazing specs...5.2 inch screen and a 13MP Camera, Mediatek core processor with a 3 GB RAM and 2990mAh battery!

  • Yes snapdragon or Exnos only

  • I got mine at Malaysia. Not bad, fast enough. Im impress with the user experience. It gets warm quite fast if using navigation or movies. Acceptable really. Battery not impressive but its ok. Since its small its a sacrifice on the battery

  • Its not heating bro. Battery performance same as nokia 3.

  • why mediatek processor????? I am not going to purchase because of this only.

  • For me no ....it's not heating at all...may be u have some faulty device... contact Nokia care for replacement....it's mediatek processor it won't heat up so high as u mentioned.

  • don't buy it, its heating like iron rod when browsing internet and battery drainage very fast, try other , i am using from last 15 days.

  • Where can i buy the 32GB / 3GB RAM version ? Does anyone know? Thanks

  • If you want better hardware than go for nokia6.1

  • I am using 32gb+3gb variant of this phone. I am greatly satisfied with the performance: very handy, excellent touch response, smooth running, and brighter display; bravo. No issue of heating or lagging.

  • I experienced heating issues with Snapdragon processors. I think Mediatek processors are better, but not as fast as SD.

  • What's wrong with Mediatek processors? They are not bad. If people wants a blazingly fast smartphone then go for a flagship.

  • Normal n basic use is good.Nokia giving three years security update n two years OS upgrade! So amazing...

  • Better check this before buying this nokia the ZF Max M1 offers a lot more (3-32 GB version w. SDM octa-c.)

  • Pleas can anyone tell me how to enable raise to wake. Thanks

  • why huge bezel for 18:9 aspect ration display ???

  • This device is a let down for me I bought it only to realize that band 28(700) which was supported on the Nokia 3 2017 in my region (Nigeria) is not supported on the Nokia 3.1 2018 which should be an upgrade. I couldn’t get my money back now I am stuck have put the device back up for sale

  • Great device!! Will purchase and make many gifts to my friends!! Never buy chinese cheap unfinished buggy devices that negatively affect health due to poor quality materials and also bad GSM speaker quality

  • If you want a android one phone from the sub-300 USD market, look no further than the Xiaomi Mi A2 is better in every possible way. That is, if you do not mind the removed headphone jack.

  • There is 1080p video recording see specification

  • no worth it at this price ... there are many good phones available .

  • What are you talking about? They are not trying to make a flagship at this price point, it's an entry level phone for western markets. Why would they put a flagship SoC on it? That would mean it was in a higher price segment. Entry level phones have lower-spec SoCs, that is the entire reason they can be priced as entry level phones.

  • Another Mediatek mobile another failure for Nokia. Nokia, even when you try to give good hardware & stock android there is no use as the processor is poor. Just to keep the cost low you are releasing a product that will definitely not going to satisfy the customers. I admire Nokia but Please STOP using Mediatek processors in your devices.

  • Yes

  • No 1080p video LOL

  • I was attracted by the stock Android and the price but it threw me off the battery. However, I never used a low-budget phone with more than 1800mAh lol but they hadn't had more than 4'5 inches.

  • Nokia giving 3 years security update n 2 years os upgrade! People don't know?

  • Does anyone know if the Nokia 3.1 support Chromecast? I am asking because of the Mediatek processor. Last years Nokia 3 did not support Chromecast.

  • its supports fast charging as given on its specs on mediatek official website 75% in 30 minutes

  • glad this one got mtk and not sd. heat problem in most of sd is actually one thing that turn me off.

  • I have a question for you, and not just for you, but for all this "need a better soc"...: do you even know what that is? Do you even understand under what situations a better "soc" is needed?. Do you even know what soc is? Cause it ain't the cpu. That's for sure. I know you don't so before asking for better "socks" learn what socket cpu mhz binary bits are.

  • "no bezels phone" Then you gotta pay for it... four times more than what Nokia 3.1 costs or wait at least two years before such tech migrates to budget phones.

  • Totally agree. Even a Helio P20 would have sufficed. Oh well, a missed opportunity for Nokia. I guess the only way to get a relatively compact phone is to buy the Sony compact flagship. A decent compact midrange is as non-existent as unicorns, apparently.

  • Looking for no bezels phone.

  • nokia 2 4100mah at 5 inch

  • Needed a better soc to be good entry smartphone

  • Can sombody make 5 inch bezel less 4000mah stock android with 3.5mm jack and 720p screen phone? Anybody ?

  • How lazy is that? LOL

  • No finger print scanner on this device, & when is Nokia 4 coming out??? Just curious though with this pace, although Nokia has done a nice job since last year(2017).....Let me know y'all 👍👍

  • If it had AOD at least i can hit notification.....but nothing!

  • I need fingerprint scanner, hitting power button to tedious

  • This is how much we paid (~150€) for crappy 128x128, 2Mpix dumb phones back in the day... So, things certainly moved forward...

  • Atleast using soc p22,23,25.

  • You'll soon get used to it :)

  • I don't think it's all that expensive! And before you ask -no - I am not rich or well off either lol

  • That's hella expensive 165Euro..for what it is. !

  • Not sure about 18:9 ratio , used to 16, would it make App appear very long?

  • $160

  • Well it's up for order in Russia for €165 and I am guessing the price is relatively lower there than elsewhere. It will probably be €199 in the EU unfortunately.

  • Will the 16GB/2GB version have similar price as the older Nokia 3 from 2017? I hope there will be no price-bump.

  • You could buy cheaper back up phones lol! this is a daily driver for most!

  • 2 gig ram is fine for stock one android.

  • It's currently up for pre order in Russia but only the 2GB ram version is available. If that is the same for the UK then I won't be buying it. Has to be the 3GB version only.

  • The 3GB ram and 32 GB storage option is the only one worth getting, and even then I am only buying it as a back-up phone.

  • Only the bottom bezel is "huge".

  • It has a tall display and also huge bezels? Why

  • How is lower specs in everything better?

  • Well i never liked the Sony. And they knew that. Lot of reasons i dont want to tell to make some true fans of Sony brand in sorrows. But price speaks for its self. Anyway nothing can beat Mi8.

  • Yup totally agree with you.Nokia 3.1's proccesor is 28nm, 8 cores 1.5GHz which is far better than the XA1's 16nm , 8 cores 2,3GHz also has better 13MP camera than the XA1's 23MP. The only downside is that it has slighty worse screen resolution.

  • Great basic allrounder good for elderly people and kids as their first phone.

  • XA1 superior? Maybe can copmpete Samsung galaxy young :-D

  • it seems they've now removed NFC from (India) models ?? WTH...

  • Can not understand why nokia 2.1 with its realy poor specs gets 4000mAh battery, but this one not. They could build some good model in 4.5 - 5" screen range, because my wife does not want larger one.

  • Agree Park a car on those Bezels! lol.

  • If it only had smaller bezels...

  • But it doesn't.

  • it must have finger sensor

  • Mediatek 6750 is very similar to SD 615. I have that on my Moto G turbo of 2015 and it still works smooth with vanilla Android with just 2gb RAM. SD 625 / 630 would have been a better choice. Though with vanilla Android on board, this one will be good at day to day related working.

  • Are you joking? XA1 has superior chipset and camera.

  • Yeah, that's what everyone thought they would be getting.

  • rival xperia xa1/ x compact

  • Why not use Snapdragon 430 or Snapdragon 435 ?

  • good specs!!! better Nokia 3

  • Use sd450 la!

  • It is lightweight, excellently designed and it got a good main camera-I like it.

  • only 720p recording???

  • I think these phone range will be a good call for nokia
