My first phone back in 2004. I had a bunch since, sony, erricson, and a few sliders of various brands until I got a android phone. All those other ones broke, I pulled this nokia out of a drawer and it's still working. Going to get a new battery and keep it for a spare as it's awesome for just being a small phone.

This was my dad's first ever phone back in 2001.. fell into water in 2005.. Repaired it and to my surprise, the phone is working great even today.. The problem now is the battery which is dead.. Planning to buy a BLB-2 on ebay to make it alive again!!

To start this was my second phone I ever had. I just bought a refurbished one and OMG. Classic Nokia at it's best!! Whacked my SIM Card in to use this for a few weeks for a bit of a flashback lol. They are so small and comfortable to hold, battery life is great. It's funny when people gawk at you in shopping centre's when they ring (I assume most people haven't heard Monophonic Tones for years now) lol. I personally love this model still, I think smartphones are over-rated.

At first I had Nokia 6110 --> Nokia 8250 --> Siemens Sl45i --> Nokia 6510 --> Samsung SGH-S100 --> Motorla MPx 200 --> Sony Ericsson W850i --> HTC Touch Diamond -> Nokia N900 -> Samsung galaxy Gio -> Motorola Defy and now finally I have Samsung Galaxy Plus. This comes a bit late for this phone but if you're looking for cheap under 40� phone, check out for this as used.

Recently bought a "reconditioned" (extensively repaired) 8250. Three months on it still works. Love the novelty of using this oldskool phone. Makes you appreciate all the things you get to enjoy in modern phones, even basic ones. Example: auto-capitalization. Hard to believe people back then could live without something as simple and important as auto-capitalization.

I have never found another model with a better battery cover. It was thin, easy to remove, had some cool markings etched on it and best of all didn't become loose after repeatedly opening it...

Hi all, this is the 4th times i got the handset of 8250. 1st i bought it brandnew, 2nd n 3rd were second hand n i got it refurbished. the 4th, are still second hand. I got it a week ago. the surprising thing is the seal sticker guarantee of local nokia aftersales of 7 years ago is sticking properly at the screw.. n the first owner said it has never been repaired before. n the battery is still the old-original one,still working for 2 days with normal use. Wow!! now i just have to search for the original case n button just to make it perfect.. ;) regards. how lucky im to have a wonderfull vintage handset..

I had this phone for 3 or 4 years until its microphone started playing around and other people couldn't hear me talk sometimes. Even if this happens on every 20th call, it was highly irritating so I had to get a new phone. Otherwise I loved this phone and its small size was wonderful for its time. By biggest requirement for a phone is that it is small. Even today, 8250 is smaller than half the latest phones on the market. It was a joy to own and worth every penny.

I am having lot of problems with this 8250 Nokia phone set.It automaticaly gets switched off during its use .Sometimes keypad gets locked up while dialing the number.I changed the battery but the problem is constant. I often use the infrared on this phone for sending an operator logos, wallpaper or picture messages from my notebook (computer)to the phone. Just face your infrared port on the phone with the infrared port on your notebook, but remember that it must be very close without any barriers. In my opinion: This phone is one of the best of Nokia design ever....creative, unique and elegant. When it was new, it also had current technologies and was innovative with its shinny blue screen. I love this phone rather than current phones because I can create my own wallpapers, picture messages or operator logos on the notebook (computer) then sending them to the phone using infrared. Indeed, I still had this phone for 5.5 years now and never think that I will sell it....

Where to start? 8250s are one of the best mobiles you'll ever find. I fell in love with it the first time I saw one in 2000. Finally gettin one, its been a champ. Like alot of other people have said; I have dropped it heaps, water accidents and gettin used non-stop everyday. Not one single promblem until my mum washed it last week. It was heart breakin to lift da lid and find my gorgeous poor lil 8250 floatin around in the water. Its stuffed and my insurance company doesn;t have any in stock :( So any ideas on another great nokia would be welcomed thats got a camera etc. Thanks p.s If you have a nokia 8250 LOOK after it because its so hard to find one in great condition, plus people don;t like to part with them.

I'm using it since Oct 2003 and simply love this cute set, Even though I'm seeking to upgrade, I don't think I'll part with my 8250, which I'll keep as a stand by.

But soon after, TODAY, the panasonic broke my heart! i was feeling odd not to receive any sms the entire afternoon and decided to send someone an sms, but i found out that it took forever to send!(which means cannot send la) and then i tried to call the person, cannot call! i tried several other people including my house phone and i am 100% my panasonic broke down! THANK GOODNESS this 8250, which ive kept in my drawer saved my life and i am now happy that i've not thrown it away... IT IS ONE OF THE MOST DURABLE PHONES I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. YOU CAN GO DO THOSE THINGS TO YOUR 3G PHONE LIKE DROPPING IN INTO POOL/MUD/2 STOREYS HIGH. What I love the most is the size as I can take it any where and its small enough to wear around my neck and because of the size don't even remember it's there... Nokia 8250 do not have many functions as the latest 6510 but the responses slower and thicker and also do you really need all those added functions, pay for it and don't make use of it. Generally, people usually use it for calling and receiving calls and of course for sms, Nokia still the most user-friendly.

It is a a good phone, I use it. If you can improve the light switch on and off system, it will give better sevice. 1) when you lock key board then the light should switch off immidiately and not wait for a few seconds. same when you press the stop ( red ) Button. Keep up the good work.

My housemate just bought a Nokia 8250 for RM890-00....I think the features of this phone is worst that 3310 (no screensavers, no assigning of ringtones to different caller )!! I personally feels that my Siemens S45 is a lot better phone with powerful feateres than can beat even Nokia 8310 !!! And the Siemens S45 is cheaper(RM800 only) than the Nokia 8250... Conclusion: Nokia 8250 is not a Good buy!!! Please consider Siemens S45....u will love it after trying it!! (I am an ex-Nokia fan, but now I am converted Siemens fan...:) !!!!)

To: ARUNABH VARMA... Have you ever read the manual?!?! Just go to "Call Register" and then to "Call Duration". On the 6510 that's 2-5 and on the 3310 4-5. And the CAPS LOCK can be turned off you know. It's the button between "TAB" and "SHIFT"!!!! You should try it...

The 8250 represent the 8210 model with blue backlight and nothig more. The Nokia Co. should have the decency to include at least a wap browser! Also, all Nokia phone have the same problem: no call time displayed during outgoing call. It a shame!

i bought a nokia 8250, while on holiday in the middle east, and since i bought it i have had no problems, i am also the envy of all my freinds as they all ove the blue screen!!! the only problem that i have found, is a small one, which is that it only has snake 1! and not sanke 2!! i found this particually annoying as i had a nokia 3310 then bought this and in terms of phone features it was a kind of downgrade!! but still worthwhile buying one!!

To be honest, this model doesn't really offer much, but the fact that it is the best looking handphone ever existed (so far) makes it worth buying! Just bought it about a month or so, yet it is still pretty expensive. I'd say I did not regert buying it since people still comment on how good it looks, despite the fact that it has been launched about a year ago. The battery life isn't all that good though, one complaint I have to add.

It's mAh:s that count, not the type of battery. 650mAh NiMh -battery would be of exact same capacity and therefor would last just as long as the Li-ion one does. It's a fantastic phone. I use the Infra Red features to sync with my Palm to exchange data and calendar reminders. I am able to change the Operator Logos using Infra Red with my computer and also able to send Operator Logos and ALL OTHER LOGOS via SMS to my friends too..... Damn cool!!

I just bought this phone 3 days ago, and I love it very much especially its design, blue backlighted, keypad easier to press and ease of use of the menu. I must admit the price not so reasonable for the phone that don't have WAP, but no problemo, coz in my country, u can't use WAP using prepaid card, and the connection very slow also, it is more comfortable to access the internet using ur pc man !!! Compared with 8310 ? 8310 has more features, but the design still can't catch up 8250 !! 8250 is the phone i've been looking for so loooooong !!!! :)

This is a great phone! Unlike the new WAP phones(8310,3330), SMS graphics and blinking text do WORK with the 8250. The phone improves on the weaknesses of the 8210 - like bigger and softer keys (smaller and harder to press in the 8210). The blue lights and "X-pad" key layout are so cool!

It comes with the same games that the 8210 does. No WAP. No MP3. But it does come with 'composer' which the 8210 didn't. But how much better does it look? Sick.

This phone is just an 8210 with a blue screen...so what. If you are buying a phone you will like the features, weight, size and performance however from a technical perspective this is a fairly predctable mid-life facelift for the 8210 technology...yawn Nokia.
