Very nice phone. I got mine unlocked and GSM. Was using it on T-Mobile. Great camera for the time, also its nice to be able to manual focus. Flash is very nice. Screen is very nice. Speed is very nice. I mostly use it for communication and watching videos, but also its great for videos and photos.

Usually verizon locks their phones, but this particular one is an exception. I used this one in the US, on Verizons 4G network, and moved down to Mexico, and it works with the GSM network down here. So rare for a verizon phone to have that flexibility! You do have to download the nokia access point app to configure the phone to use the other network tho

IT doesn't even need to be unlocked. You see, the 928 is a verzion exclusive 4G phone. So due to this, the 2G and 3G GSM modules are completely unlocked and can be used very easily. I am using it in india on Vodafone's 3G+ NW and getting download speeds of upto 7Mbps.

I think you should restart your phone whenever that issue occurs, then see if this could fix it or not. And you can use some of these methods to prolong your battery life :D My Lumia 928 usually lasts 1 day to 1,5 days by using these: Sometimes, there is an app could drain yr battery as drinking water, so you should check those newest apps that you just installed. then find out which one. Or maybe you let so many apps that can run background tasks. For me, you could turn them all off. 3G (or LTE), wifi, NFC, bluetooth, connect to XBOX,auto sync photo,...those setting you shouldn't turn on all the time if you don't need to use. Set "Brightness" to Auto or Low. Yep, there are some more ways to help this issue but I think mainly these ways can already solve the problem. Gudluck and Enjoy your Lumia 928.

This is a bad phone with a lot of faults. Mine does not recognise when headphones have been plugged in and sometimes apps open themselves without me even touching the phone. The battery life is terrible, only getting a few hours before battery saver kicks in. I would not recommend this phone.

The only difference with the Nokia Lumia 928 and the 920 is that the 928 has the zenion flash and the Lumia 920 doesn't the 928 also weighs less and my opinion is it fells better in the hands u also have less color options

There isn't many issues with this phone and the freezing that people talk about happens only on a few phones as I've had people mention it and others never even notice or mention it because it didn't happen on theirs. I've not noticed it on mine and I listen to my own music a lot. The phone though is a bit bulky, but definitely worth the money if you want a Windows Phone. It feels more planted in your hand and not like some drop or squeeze in your will break it. And the wireless charging aspect is so cool. Oh, and don't forget, this phone includes Microsoft Office if you are planning on using it for work or some sort of document/presentation areas, it will integrate right in.

Yes..i believe WP8 is faster & more reliable than androids/IOS. The only setback for WP8.. -lack of apps/most apps are chargeable(when u can get it free with androids/IOS) -Nokia fails on their LTE technology. Tested on my 2 NL920, batt runs out faster than my S4 with the same setting set to it.

Nokia for the past decade made a quite profitable market for all of us, having done this they'd suffer the consequences...but, What keeps nokia firm about not having android in its platform is because they believe (like in the past times samsung was eagerly trying to defeat them and still couldn't until android came) that its only for quite sometime that the people would like android and eventually fed up/sated or not satisfied enough.. it is this very principle that they are developing windows because they know, when the market gets a bit bored with what's usual they would turn back to the original phone friendly inventors.

The nokia lumia 928 has a spec list very similar to the nokia lumia 920 and 925. My complaint is on the battery life this phone struggles to last 8am to 6pm worth of life every day which is not acceptable. I dropped this twice in just 1 week and both of those times it emerged fine with just a few scuffs and scratches. These were onto concrete and tiles respectively. I love the simplicity of use and amount of features windows phone 8 has to offer though.

The main reason I got interested is nokia's well known durability. It's like "Acer Aspire could give you more feature, more connectivity, better hardware for the same price" but they just died only after 1 year. YES VERY True but one major reason they dont put better hardware in it because Microsoft has restrictions. You have to also remember that in some cases it keeps cost rdown.I am not sure how much the camera costs on nokia phones. So i cant tell you if its to keep costs down. But microsoft puts alot of hardware restrictions on all the OEM for windows phone on the htc 8x it has same processor and same ram as the lumia 928, its not nokia thats the problem. Also windows phone 8 dosent support more than 2 processors yet until the new service pack windows 8.1 is released this year.

your opinion is right, but Nokia charge too much for old hardware and Nokia have a habit that "you cant get all the features of their phone on a single and latest phone (it sucks). Unlike iphone and samsung, if you get their latest flagship, you get all of the latest features a phone can get. In terms of quality, you cant say nokia has the best quality of phone out there. Im interested on nokia phone specially their camera, but considering other specs, i'll be spending too much for a hardware 2 years old for a price of latest hardware specs i can get. Its not about the specs its how you use which makes the big difference. You can have the fastest processor and the most amount of RAM without an operating system it is useless just a bunch of scraps. It greatly depends on your personal needs and uses of the devices which truly gives you the best experience even if you have better hardware without the OS and apps that use the hardware and give user feedback there is no point in having it. Like i said before it useless. Think of an empty box(consider this the hardware). If you fill it with big balls you only have very few balls and it leaves gaps large gaps which the round shape of the balls can not fill. Now fill that box with many small balls because of the smaller area of the balls you can fit alot more in there and because the ration of volume to circumference of the balls are smaller it leaves smaller gaps. You can think of the gaps between the balls as the amount of the hardware that you dont have access to. Each ball represents a peace of functionality of an operating system. in the scenario of large balls in the box you would have very little functionality(the balls) and alot of the hardware you can not used/Wasted(the gaps), And with the small balls where you add more functionality you better use the hardware because there is more functionality(balls) and less wasted hardware(Gaps). Efficiency is key to actually getting use out of the hardware. If you are picking a phone by its specs then most of the time you will be disappointed because you wont have full use of all that hardware anyway. And YES it does apply to the camera as well Nokia has very good software to use the camera sensor so in effect they can use less pixel density and yield better or equal to camera sensors with higher pixel density THEY ACTUALLY USE THE HARDWARE BETTER. IT DEPENDS ON YOUR NEEDS AND HOW YOU USE IT. The 928 is built well enough that you get a great experience with windows phone 8. IT ALSO USES THE BATTERY FASTER IF YOU HAVE FASTER AND STRONGER HARDWARE. I've had this phone for one week and it is a huge improvement from the HTC 7 Trophy, Verizon's only WP7 phone. The 928's performance compared to the Trophy is astounding. The Trophy was a first generation Windows Phone and it has trouble running some of the newer apps (apps started to show lag) and the Verizon Trophy never got the 7.8 update like the european version got. Nokia's Lumia 928 is snappy. Videos don't have lag issues. Switching apps is nearly instant. The Trophy only had a single core processor and going from that to a dual core makes a difference. The 928 has support for LTE AWS (think 4G+ - 15mb/s) while the Trophy only had support for EVDO (3G - 300? kb/s). Cell reception is about the same. Battery life - idk yet. Call quality - superb, shocks you sometimes how great it sounds. The screen is great in daylight, but worries me in low light. I see bubbles under the screen and there is a whiter colored blob under the start button thats visible only when the button is lit. (That makes it very difficult to return. I have seen others with the same issue, so I'm not the only one.) The phone physically is a good size and weight for me (I have large hands), but the corners bother me. The are too square, but the only case verizon has made it easier to cope with. Besides that. This phone is a great device that I will keep even after its time to upgrade. Its good as a phone and it operates likewise without cell capabilities. Rating - 8/10

The best parameter to use in choosing. phone is d technical specification, all other things being equal and barring unforseen circumstances. The Samsung S4 is obviuosly better, it has larger screen 5 inches as against 4.5 of the Lumia 928, it has a better camera of 13mp compared with 8mp of d Lumia, d processor speed is higher 1.5 ghz as against the 1.2.ghz of d lumia, this is just a few of d parameters but on overall rating it beats d Lumia 928 hands down

LOL, ROOTING IOS????...HAHA...THAT IS THE DUMBEST THING IVE HEARD TODAY...there is no such thing as rooting iOS...its called JAILBREAKING...because unlike android...jailbreaking is like bending the rules...while on android...it is more like breaking the rules...jailbreaking doesnt really remove a lot of restrictions...the only real advantage after jailbreaking is installing apps from outside of the app store(and there by you can install unlicenced and untested apps developed by unlicenced app devs)... :-P... on android the feature is available even without rooting... rooting and android lets you do anything with your phone...not jsut customization...for example my S3 gave me a battery back up of around 2 days before i rooted...now after rooting and unlocking the bootloader and then flashing with the MIUI rom, i get a backup of around 3 to 4 days under normal usage...windows dumb user!!!...speaking as though you know everything...go home you are just trying show offf :-P...

What i will also like to say is that you proved my point that in order to have android run smoothly you need to have better hardware i.e more RAM and more powerful CPU. Windows phone does not have a problem with page swapping like android. The last version windows phone 7 some device had less the 512MB of RAM and single core processor that ran at 800mhz, and yet it was still pretty smooth and had almost no lag. I dont know about windows phone 8 with this issue since there aren't any new devices that have very little resources.

The only thing i would like to add is that yes windows is restrictive but the provide a well rounded user experience out of the box. And in coming updates it will be more customizable. You cannot ignore that from the current revisions of the OS's Microsoft's windows phone is still the youngest out of them,i know that there where other windows modile os's. When them first made windows phone os it had very little ties with the older windows mobile os. From the new kernel that they started with windows phone os, that originally started a little more than three years ago. Android is 7, Iphone is 6.They do have more maturity as well. It will be very exciting to see what these os's will turn into. My point is that while you can root the iphone and android you shouldn't have to in order to have a rich a customizable experience and hopefully windows phone being the less mature operating system will incorporate more and more custmizable features. On another note the only reason you need antivirus for a phone is because there are viruses.That is because google has a very relaxed app checking process. Nice conversing with every one and hope everyone dosent get confused because of these posts. It is my first Windows phones. Previously i had used only Android phones like Samsung Galaxy S2, S3 and Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. I really like the UI in my Nokia Lumia 928. It's buttery smooth and fluid, attractive too. No lags or glitches while scrolling through the UI, opening an application or anything. UI is very user friendly and easy to use. They colorful tiles are wow. UI is far more better than Android UI, whether it is Touchwiz or HTC sense in terms of smoothness and fluidity. This is simply awesome. The camera quality is really far more better than my Nikon camera and many other phones. I don't think there's any Android devices that can beat this phone in terms of camera quality. It's amazing. Low light photography is really impressive. Far better than what i have seen on my Galaxy S3 and S2. I can confirm that the camera quality will outsmart Galaxy S4 camera quality. Screen quality, sound output via speakers and earphones is so clear. You'll just love it. It doesn't have many apps but has enough. Most of the apps are very useful. Battery backup is also great. I get two days of battery backup on average usage. Really a good phone from Nokia. Love this phone :)

i see a fun argument going on here. being an android user and developer with xda(droidauthority is my user id at xda and i currently work on improving cynogen nexus4 roms and i have developed a few playstore apps like one that does call whitelisting(opposite of blacklisting) and blacklisting app-@Sasi, i have revealed my identity, you may verify), i wish to make a few points here. none of these points are meant to hurt anyone or show off. i only wish to clear some confusion that may come into the mind of a reader who might come across some of the posts here. 1. There was a time when Android was a horrible OS once you installed a few apps. But android has come a long way from there. And people shouldn't really worry about android being slow. It is disappointing to see people still cling onto that point to speak against Android. What most people dont understand is that the number of background processes can be controlled on most stock ROMs under developer options in the settings(and free up your ram). The reason why some of the older android devices lets say with 256 or 384mbs of RAM were slow was because of frequent swapping needed, but these days you get decent capacity RAMs even on devices priced lower than the entry level windows phones. in the earlier versions of android. closing apps was a nightmare. but from ICS onward, google have come up with a simple way to close apps, thus freeing up more RAM once you've done using the app. 2. Application development-wise i personally think windows and android are both great. I have not developed windows apps myself, but it is as easy(if not easier) than developing android apps. the ADK too is great along with eclipse, but to a beginner it might take 2 or 3 weeks to get used to java if you are used to programming in c.there are loads of built in packages in java which you can use to make your job easier. 3. Applications:- there is no argument here i believe, as we all know that android is clearly ahead of windows in this department. i do think that you tend to find more "interesting" apps in the play store than you would find even for a PC that run on windows. and this is a very personal opinion from my side, i dont think the XBOX thing you get with the windows phone is anything to brag about. the office integration certainly is a great plus. but this sounds great to only a windows mobile user, because android has a huge range of office suits in the play store, both free and paid. the lack of hd resolution is an issue with windows as far as atleast a few people are concern, which might soon be solved though.windows does have a very fluid and refreshing feel to the UI. it makes you happy everytime you use it. i personally love the widgets so much that i used a windows 8 laucher for a few days when i had an S2. A thing that made windows phones a repulsive option in the past was the lack of bluetooth file transfer. but that isn't an issue now. so that gives a buyer one more good reason to buy windows 8 powered devices. windows 8 powered nokia phones are a good option for people who really are not too much into mobile phone and are interested only in using it. this is pretty much the case with windows and linux users and which is why most linux users call windows users "dumb"(again there i mean nothing offensive here), as they rarely know what happens behind the scene within the computer. they rarely have any idea about the true potential of the device in front of them. Linux on the other hand leaves you with the option of using the terminal to do things and there by getting into the heart of things(ubuntu\m/)...as windows for PCs evolved through the ages it has become more and restrictive, and has denied the user a lot permissions.I myself was a windows user(i despised linux-i felt linux was too complicated unnecessarily)uptil 2006 when i visited a free software workshop at my school and they gave me a free ubuntu cd :-). that is how it all started for me. ever since, i have remained loyal to free software foundation. and so obviously i became an android. my 1st mobile phone was powered by linux(the motoming, which someone gifted me). later on when google acquired android and android devices started to hit the markets i was gifted an android by my cousin. the original Samsung Galaxy which ran on android donut. i loved it then, though it wasn't a great phone when i look back now. then i got tired of the phone and bought myself the Samsung Nexus S. and then the S2 and now the Nexus 4. i was there with google in their journey from donut(i haven't tasted cupcake ;-)) to jellybean and i will be there with google when keylimepie comes out for the nexus 4. It was a wonderful journey and i've learned a lot along the way. google has been able to come up with a lot of different ideasand improvements to make android more and more attractive and one has to say that all their hard work has paid off. Android is a quality user experience now. one thing that makes android more attractive is the sheer variety of android devices out there, they come in all sizes and all shapes, even on watches these days, it seems. which makes it clear why android is considered a good OS, it's versatility and scalablity as an OS make it an amazing piece of software for developers. being an open source OS, it makes it easy for anyone to take the kernal and build an OS around it. though it was android and ios that really started off the war, windows has joined in. windows had the added advantage of having a partner like nokia(a firm i believe makes some of the best quality cellphones). and here i do believe windows has really benefited a lot from its venture with nokia. if we compare the number of nokia-windows devices sold to the number windows powered devices by other manufacturers, this fact will be a ver clear. nokia's great hardware has helped the sales of windows phones a lot.a person who knows nothing about cellphones, and wishes to buy an expensive mobile phone tends to buy a nokia mobile phone(which will usually be a windows mobile phone since the windows UI is a very attractive one). people rarely care about the features of the OS as long as the phone has a good camera and the nokia name badge(which i am not saying is bad; but it is fact). what phone you buy and why you buy them are your own problem. for example i bought myself the nexus 4 knowing that it doesn't have the best camera or screen quality in the world because i bought my phone for app and rom development as my primary purpose. Also nexus devices usually get all sort of custom roms from around the world and nexus phones are the 1st devices are always the 1st to receive updates. when nexus 5 comes out i might buy nexus 5(if i have the money to buy it that is). someone else could say i was stupid to buy a phone without a good camera and screen and i should have bought a nokia pure view 808 because it has a better camera and is less expensive. friends, it is purpose driven not just the about the specs. if you are a person who reads a lot, you should buy a phone with a big screen not one with a good camera or a quad core phone that runs the latest HD games.it is completely personal. this is where android beats windows completely. Lets get this straight i never intended to make anyone feel like there opinion was wrong i was merely stating that if windows phone came first it would be a different ball game because of xbox live integration and office suit built in. I am a software developer and have developed on all three major os's i seen the benefits and downfalls in all the os's. Android is a versatile os and can be very useful for people with alot of computer knowledge i have used it on many devices and without beefy hardware androids user interface does lag. Although all of the lag sometimes. Android has the worst amount of lag. I understand that everyone has there reasons for wanting a manipulable device. Sasi Dont confuse the windows phone os woth windows Mobile they are completely different kernels and interfaces. They rebuilt it entirely so as being a fresh build of the operating system it is only 3 years old so it is still not mature. And if i Recall correctly iphone and android didnt have that many apps for the first couple of years either. Microsoft provides very good tools for development that are stable and reliable. Android not so much. And dont forget also Android is based on linux and linux already has functionality as well so whats androids excuse for not being better and more stable. They are only marginally better than windows phone and whats the difference anyway i never said i didnt like android i just prefer the built in pc and xbox integration with windows phone and dont forget also it has a full productive office suit built in for free on windows phone.

you dont need to root an android device to install a 150 apps on even a low end device like say the galaxy s or desire s-and they costs just around 10-12k(or less)...i just said that if you want to do more as a mobile phone enthusiast and get more things that what the OEM wants you to do...there is always the option of rooting the device...it is sad that people dont understand the benefits of spending 10 minues for rooting(even after the warranty period or when they have no warranty even otherwise)...you can of course make you phone faster and free up more internal memory..to add that you can boost your battery performance...improve security to the level no other devices can let you...connect a wide array of hardware like mouse keyboard even if the OEM doesn't provide it with the stock rom(provided you have hardware suppor and device drivers)...what google has done with android is that...they have opened avenues for smaller device manufacturers to try and establish a name..one such firm is Micromax(currenty india's largest manufacturer and 12 or 13th largest in the world), which you could say is doing better than nokia(if you talk about the sort of growth the firm is having that is)...and they've even started making television sets...may be nokia has its own reasons for not creating an android device...but if nokia were to make andoid devices...it would really give samsung a run for its money with the sort of customer trust the brandname "nokia" has...keeping aside all the business stuff..i would say nokia is being very dumb by not making an android device...but again...business is business...again i say this...windows is a great OS...but at the moments and probably anytime in the near future windows cannot compete with android for even a tiny bit of its market share...

may be you haven't used proper android smart phones yet...even my low end LG optimus L9 has over a 100 apps(including anti virus/optimization apps(that are always active) and games)...and it works perfectly fine...please do not pass on information that you have no idea about and confuse people into thinking what you are saying is right...nokia and windows have a good thing going on between them...nokia does not wish to ruin the relation with MS and so nokia haven't officially said anything about releasing an android phone under its brandname...but nokia is helping vertu(its old luxury phone making subsidiary) make luxury android phones...and never compare an open source OS like Android with windows...once rooted or once the bootloader is unlocked android becomes a very different thing(provided you have enough common sense to do the right things there after)...and MR. @spartanlegends windows for mobile devices has been there right from the 90s in case you didn't know...may be windows for mobile phones is a relatively young OS...windows has been around for a while now...so please do not say MS has not had enough time to make it better...it has had more time to evolve than android...and it is because of MS's uncompetitiveness to promote devs to develop apps for windows that windows does not have as many devs as android does...Google was able to give good support for developing apps(provided, one has good XML knowledge) and a free platform...the paly store has waaay more free apps unlike the windows market place...i would never say windows is a bad OS...windows is great as long as all you wish to do is what the manufacturer wants you to do...but if you wish to do more than what the manufacturer wants you to do...if you wish to change things to suit your ways...then there isn't a better OS than Android...once you root your android...there is very little you cannot do with you phone or tab...and saying that an OS is fast but it has few apps is like saying..."my car can go at 500kmph but i dont have tires"...the reason why nokia windows phone sales have gone up is not because of the Windows OS...but because of Nokia's brandvalue and the sort of hardware like the carl zies lens and the sensors used in the cameras...no doubt the cameras on nokia phones are among the best in the business...but then a smart phone is not just about the camera...very few people who have used android properly would ever switch to windows...i wouldn't buy a windows phone anytime soon unless widows becomes less restrictive...and windows phone sales have not really affected the android phone sales...it has rather affected rim and iphones...

If Nokia try a two pronged approach with windows and android, costs will increase (with no guarentee of returns) and second they will loose the edge they have over other windows OEMs. (80% of win phones are from Nokia). Microsoft does favor them by giving them an exclusive store and better support. 2. Nokia cannot launch a quad core phone as Windows8 currently supports only Dual core. Same with screen resolution, windows onlt supports WXGA and not 1020 p yet so they have put the best screent they can. Quad core & 1080p support are expected to come by October this year. All they can do is put a 2 GB RAM which is worthless again as Windows doesnt true multitask, it just holds background apps in a faster Flash memory. Just to explain difference in Android several apps keep running in background, in windows however very few have background running preveleges. Therefore high RAM simply adds cost and no value. Finally, the Win OS does lack apps but its unbelievably fast, fluid and beautiful!! Unlike android, it never suffers from lag. I have a 720 and have 71 Apps and 32 games! I dont think any android phones works properly once you have 50 apps on it! Morover facebook, twitter integration is fabulous!! and Xbox adds a new dimension to games! Try out a demo piece you will love it.

You have to remember as well windows phone os is only 3 years old while android was first developed 7 years ago in 2006.Big difference is it. Compared to how long it took android to get to its current state windows phone os is already ahead of that curve since it is only missing a few minor details compared to android.

I think if nokia can design the screen more large as 6-8 inches or 8-20 inches to compete with samsung galaxy tap and ipad, because it contain the best competitive as MS office which sync with Microsoft window. Lumia 928 is the top rated phone on Verizon right now. Simple because of super smooth and stable WP8 with superior Nokia hardware. iOS is stale for some people and doesn't offer much hardware choice. Android is just buggy, period.

Long live le Lumia! WP8 is the hottest thing right now. Checkout its games OMW, its like my PSP. Nokia is now regaining that momentum it had with NSeries. With Windows 8 + Nokia you'll definately won't go wrong. I love it when Nokia releases a feature, the are innovative they don't get sued for copying like the others they make a feature that makes you want to buy the phone. Think of wireless charging, Night Photoshooting Xenon Carl Zeiss Optics, Windows OS, Microsoft Office and Sky Drive those are useful features than a simple sensing thingy when you hover you finger (S4 feature) its not necessary for productivity. nokia has always been innovative and with WP8 OS they'll make it. 928 and 920 are pretty much the same device. I'll try and joint the minor variations that may help you decide. 1.) 928 sports a OLED Screen whereas 920 sports an LCD. OLED tend to have colour saturation issues (minor) but yields a slightly better battery life and better deeper blacks. Both screen host the clearback display that yields superb contrasts. 2.) 928 hosts a Xenon flash instead of LED, theoritically it gives better performance in low light conditions. Xenon flash is the flash set up in SLRs. 920 is really good in low light conditions and Xenon makes 928 even better in near no light conditions. 3.)928 hosts an amazing video capture capability with 4 microphones that capture audio really really well. It also hosts an amazing speaker at the back, its one of the loudest in the market at the moment. 920 does do a decent job at the same but falls short of 928. 4.) 928 has a a different design tat makes it 20 grams lighter than 920 but in my opinion doesnt look as great as the 920. (lots of people disagree with me so its really your personal take on looks) Rest is all the same, so 928 is really a small upgrade on the 920 but an upgrade non the less. My personal opinion is that if you like the look of 928 go for it else the 920 isnt all that far behind :)

That depends. If you are looking for a value for money phone go for the 720. It has a stunning camera ande decent specs and 0 lag. if you want a stunning and beautiful phone and dont mind 50 extra grams in your palms and pockets go for 920. It looks fabulous and the extra juice inside will enable you to play HD games in future. If you are in America and dont mind a verizon network go for 928, it has almost all features of 920 and is about 20 grams lighter. I personally like th white 920 more than the 928 but thats your call. FYI this one has xenon so it has an upper hand in near 0 light conditions. If you want a premium looking phone thats thin and light go for 925 when it launches, it has a slight corporate feel and as Nokia puts it makes room for a different kind of expression. FYI it has further improved 920's camera with an additional 6th lens. 920, 928 and 925 all have same hard specs underneath but the OLED screens in 928 and 925 will give them the slight upper hand in battery life.

First of all. Samsung doesnt exactly have octa core processor, it has 2 quad cores of which 1 works at a time. Only one works at a time. Second, Nokia currently has its hands tied by the windows 8 OS which needs a firmware update to support quad cores. This will come only in November -December. Third, the world might have moved to Quad cores that doesnt necessarily mean there isnt a market for dual core, Intel sells i3, i5 and i7 for desktops. You dont blindly buy the best processor, it adds cost. Fourth, how many things is an S3 not been capable of doing because of its processor? The answer is Zero, processing power is a ploy to decieve people, it barely comes in handy. Right now Smartphones havent entered era where they need to have high processing power to be useless, it helps but is not a necessity.

Well...we all know that nokia alway keeps its product quality.So thats what they did with lumia 928.Its a brillient phone......unlike other smartphones out there they dont just put togather a bag of chips ,and wrap it in plastic or metal...they make sure its alive and remains like that for longer. The 928s camera is exellent ,got a cool CBD display,good looks,fluid smooth UI,tougher glass,super sensitive touch,and above all Windows phone OS to make it outstanding. I dont know to which comment I should give a reply. confusing me. But first, I am a WP since it is with Nokia. I've used iPhone and Android as well. So dont challenge my experiance. Nokia is well known for its build quality, and they have maintained it throughout its history, including low end to high end. The material they are using is expensive than Samsung's. Nokia's imaging system superior to any other Smartphone, thier Carl Seiz lens, Flash etc. They always used a superior screen technology. Their after service is superior to any other competitor. Above all their innovations, R&D etc is again top class to Samdung who always copied others hardworks....... Enough reasons to why Lumia 92x is priced equal to SG4. Now about WP OS. Its clearly a baby with 3 year old. and its clearly lag free and fun to use OS compared to Android and iOS. Why do you need 7,00000+ App out of which 600000 are duplicates of each other!!!!! Google is not supporting WP with their some apps, and they are not letting others to do. Why WP marketshare is not upto Android? WP is a paid OS unlike Android. before Android, Nokia's own Symbion had 72 % and Windows Mobile had 28 %. So Google made an OS and made it free to Manufactures to compete with Nokia and MS. Thats why more Android phones and less WP mobiles in the market. And still WP is capable to grab the third spot.... Within 2 years WP will throw iPhone from the second spot...

The samsung's S4 doesn't litterally has 8 Cores ... Its a phone with TWO "QUAD CORE" 1st quad core processor is for light tasks/games while the 2nd Quad core processor is for heavier tasks/games. Technically speaking when the 2nd Quad core is activated to process applications/tasks much faster the 1st Quad core is disabled by general you're only getting a Quad core processor working. In conclusion Exynos Octa is not really an eight core processor but a "CHIP" with a "TWO QUAD CORE PROCESSORS" that working alternately depends on the work load. The two quad core processors name are Cortex A7 an energy-efficient processor and Cortex A15 a high-performance processor. Yea, Nokia made so much profit, more than Samsung! In Q1 2013 Nokia lost $150 million, Samsung's net profit was $6.45 billion. But 150 > 6, eh? In youtube speed comparison tests Lumia 920 had the same speed as Galaxy S3, if Nokia uses quad core then it will be double speed compared to Galaxy S3!

I totally agree with you. Just because the company wants to earn more profit by putting lower spec CPU and RAM into its phones, it doesn't mean that we need to suffer from it. Some of the features should be highly considered beside the shown specs here for 925 and 928 such as upgrading the rams/cpu also an important feature done for X2-02 which is (play via radio) that was one of the best to play your mobile music on your car radio but X2-02 was a dwarf set and I suggest such features in the giant sets like 925 & 928 beside enabling drivers use the car stereo reply calls without engaging hands. i.e. 925 & 928 and similar sets should be equipped with FM transmitter and blue tooth pairing ability to car sets.

I am using Nokia 920 along with my Android top guns (S3/GS2/S4)(Presently using S4/920/GS2), My biggest issue with the windows OS specially after experiencing the Android versatile nature is that Windows OS is very boring after the first hr, less versatile, less customisable and effectively of less utility. Again the screen navigation is kind of monotonous and comparatively difficult and it kind of complicates the simple processes.

What also pisses me off is that every one never complains about samsung phones or Motorola. Stop picking on the underdog. It is very robust OS and provides most features needed for business and entertainment. I agree that, It is not as hacker friendly as Android. But that can be taken both as positive and negative. The truth of the matter with the processor and ram is that you dont need mor powerfull hardware. With phones like the galaxy all the time those phones are on those processors are burning energy and are 90% of the time not being used. So what is the point to have more cores in the processor if they are never used. YOU DONT NEED 4 CORES!! if there are no application made by normal developers that use multiple cores correctly. Android only moves smoother with 4 cores, because Andriod is a resources hog. You dont have that problem with windows phone OS it actually runs smooth on Single core processors. Why do alot of posts for almost all phones aavnd carriers people always complain about battery life. If you have alot of things running in the background on the phone your screen brightness is high and you have bluetooth, wifi, location services on as most people due all the time of course the battery is going to die fast. Here is a tip if you dont use those features for more than 2 hour streatche turn of some of the services. With this phone it should have about the same as the other lumia devices.

I think dual-core should be fine. The 8-core exynos 5 inside the S4 seems to use ARM's Big.little scheme where 4 of cores are used to reduce the power consumption , so it's really only a quad-core (although sporting the latest ARM Cortex A15 architecture)

the 1.5 dual core processor would i think work fine with windows phone and most apps but seriously needs a file manager app,centralised notification panel , and last but most important good quality free apps thats is what can save nokia and microsoft in mobile phone market.

What about sensor size? it's not mentioned, but by doing my own math, 3264x2448 at 1.4um pixel size hints at 1/3.2". Maybe it will turn out to be 1/3", by assuming that inter-pixel space was not counted. This may be in line with current spartphones, but frankly disappointing for a top imaging phone. I would have hoped for about double that size, e.g. 1/1.83" as on the N8, but obviously it wouldn't have fitted in such a relatively slim case. Still, happy to see Xenon flash and OIS combined. My hopes are now for the Catwalk and/or possibly the EOS to be announced on 14 May.

who's stopping you from buying that, I'm not saying anything new now but, the number of MP is not the most important thing on a camera...I have an old nikon coolpix with "just" 5mp and a sensor with the same size as an N8 but takes better pictures than any phone evermade, except my 808:). And allow customization which might lead to security problem because most of the companies are customizing the Android OS to suit their hardware and even it takes ur location without your concern. Most of the time OS crashes and even the app does so. And i think Nokia wl never go for Android.

Have you ever used all applications already installed on a Nokia? I'd like to see Android app, already installed, compared to Microsoft suite on Nokia(even on Symbian). How many of you know that nokia gives possibility to connect to a INTRANET network from your workplace? That you have possibility to chat on that INTRANET, share or acces to your work? Maybe you(Andoid/IOS users) don't make the difference between INTERNET and INTRANET...:) 2. Did you put a Nokia near an Android phone to test the Step by Step guidance(same with gps receiver)..The result=No internet, no guidance on Android. Secondly, if you aren't on a main road, or near a city it crashes, waiting to find a gps signal. To get all these crashes on android you need to install an app( or use that never-updated Navigation beta-Nokia please help them find the right way). 3. Comparing the materials and the execution quality please let me know if Samsung uses other materials than plastic. Even my old-school Nokia C7 has better materials than...almost android phones(probably HTC is an exception, i didn't test). 4. The operating system: Symbian doesn't starts any applications on background, doesn't use your GPS location without your confirm. Have you ever asked yourself where this positioning data collected by every application( made by unknown android developer) is stored or how is used. The 928 does have a built in radio, however windows 8 does not currently support it. It is expected however that on the next update that the FM radio will be unlocked. Why do you want one anyway, it comes with Nokia music!

It would be nice if wp8 will be hacked like ios. There is not so much apps on the microsoft appstore, and they are not free, so people like ios better than wp8 because of apps and jailbreaks, if microsoft wants to compete with android and ios, it should not just advertise the camera, in all the video it says wp8 is better than ios and android because of the camera!!! Ha?! Microsoft should make something new or increase the number of good apps like fifa13, and make a chance for others to jailbreak devices, and also upgrade the chipsets and lcd's to the newsest like htc one and samsung galaxy s4, then microsoft can challenge with apple and google, but now he is a loser.... And also he is wasting htc and nokia's time and money just because he thinks he could challenge just with better camera..... Time to change your mind microsoft!
