  • I've been using this phone for almost 4 years right now. Still using it and actually I can't let go this phone because of the sentimental value. A great phone IF you have technical knowledge about about how windows mobile works or you will end up frustrated and saying this phone sux. For me the only cons about this phone is battery life(if use too much mobile internet), no wifi, no video call option and scren resolution (less compatible software for 240x240).

  • Shure!!!!

  • palm, could u guyz tel mi wat dis windows mobile phone is actualy made 4.cos i can't say dat am hapy wit d fone.was it a mistake?

  • I've got this Palm 750V for a few months and it's already enough time to get fed up with it! You can never get it updated! The thing automatically resets quite often! In short, in my life using cell phones, this is the worst experience I've ever had with this Palm 750V! I'd suggest you don't ever waste your money and energy on buying/using this rotten phone!

  • My phone has never worked properly. Part of the problem is with the horrible Windows Mobile 6.1 software. But, now my phone won't even soft boot or hardboot so I can get it to sync. It just locks up. I have been sooo disappointed with Palm and Windows. I have been with customer support that knew less about the phone than I did. what a disappointment. Don't wast your money with these phones.

  • Hi there could you kindly assist, i set up my password but then when i switch the phone on it shows: Owner: Jorvis Enter your password and tap ok. then there's a password block, then there's a timer bellow that but does not take my password and it's the same password i stored as a hint... kindly assist

  • never say never

  • I have used this phone for about 20 months and find it totally practical for my applications which include Calls, SMS, MMS, e-mail, calendar, photos, tasks, reminders & music/MP3 player. It is simple to learn, logical and just very practical. This is a good phone and I'd recommend it. Good points; easy to work with emails, SMS, stylus operation on screen rather than keypad, multiple useful "Outlook" functiuons, easy to sync, bluetooth, clear visible screens, excellent music reproduction with earphones, tough & reliable. The downsides ....... no flash on the camera is limiting, screen size is now bigger on newer phones, sometimes freezes but easy to soft reboot, lack of alarms/alerts of real value. Poor range of additional fun/toy applications.

  • i went looking for a firmware update online for this handset but failed to find one that is still current can anyone tell me where i may find one and which is the most up to date version for windows 5 even if there is one for stabilising some of the freezing and moments of madness it ocassionally has

  • dear all, i just had palm 2 months ago, i have no software about GPS, google map, dictionary... Could you sharing to me any soft like that mail to me any time: [email protected]

  • I have a refurb, just 4 months old. All the problems that have been described come with mine, including horribly low audio levels, windows jamming up, and now, the physical phone is coming to pieces. I am not a hard phone user at all - and inexplicably, the "m" key flew off the thing while I was dialing the other day. The battery charger cables are a BEAR to get into the port, and a few weeks ago on a road trip, the car charger cable lost a side prong, leaving me completely incommunicado during a snowstorm - until I could get out to buy a new charger cable. I bought 2 - one ac and one car. You guessed it, last week, the new car cable did the same thing. Now the connectors are completely loose, and NONE of the 4 charger cables I have will make contact without hanging the thing upside down, propping it up on match boxes and saying incantations over it. VERY POORLY DESIGNED - TINY, DIFFICULT TO SEE, and MEANT FOR FAILURE. I don't text much, but I don't have a PC or a laptop right now, and was counting on this to read and send work email until I get my own place. Not going to happen. Refurb, therefore not under warranty after 91 days - and I am seriously thinking about ditching the PDA idea completely and going back to a simple, basic cell phone. This thing is far more trouble than it's worth. And who said try to find the alarm set? LOL. I thought it was just me!

  • i have this phone and its fantastic!

  • can anybody help me with palm treo 750?i cannot read sms on him...thanks!

  • i know what you mean. have the same problem. i text message or go on internet and before i know it, the battery is dead. it takes forever to load.... and then for some reason it just randomly reset itself and i lost everything. i'm like you... i got another phone to replace it already also

  • I dont know if i should get this phone ive herd so many bad comments about it...... plz help

  • Yes, this phone can hang. You can switch the phone on after battery drain and several alarms ring all at once. Mine got replaced when the touch screen failed, but the next one worked fine. In truth though, I love this phone, even with its niggles. I've been offered an upgrade and don't really want to give it away. Windows Notes for my passwords, Solitaire when I'm bored, Terminal Services to connect to customers PC's, Google Maps when I was in France, perfect.

  • this cellphone is good 85% of the time, for the rest, it freezes a lot, something when the keybord is lock I can t access again so I need to take of the batterie!! and when I put alarms the alarms ring everytime of the day...

  • This phone was terrible... Too many problems. Palm replaced te first unit and thyen the same troubles were had on the second unit. Phone not ringing, calls hanging up, phone freezing.... most frustrating. Will never use a palm phone again.....

  • I think this phone is so beautifull an usefull... I have it since 4 months ago and I didn't have any problem with it... the best of it's specifications is : HIGH SPEED

  • I have this phone since last year and I have to say I am not happy with it. Even after upgrading to newer win version I still have freezing problems (once a week). Battery life is a major concern, it barely runs for one day and I have already replaced one. Call quality is mediocre and handling is in some cases not user friendly (try to find and set the alarm clock). There are also good features of course but I will replace it soon with something better

  • i want to but this cell phone ..what do u say ???

  • i just bought a palm treo750 its been 3weeks since i got it i had problems whenever i make or recieve calls its silent could u help me ?

  • buy another one

  • my palm treo 750 stops dialing out, pleasewhat to do?

  • the sound for the message notification is not heard, it use to play but stops, everything else works on the phoe except the message sound, can anyone help me?

  • Yes just pair the devices & Beam the file.

  • i think people that says this phone is bad must be mad

  • Does anyone knows can this phone send and recive multimedia by bluetooth from other mobile phones?

  • The phone is terrible. I have had so many issues. They started about three months after purchasing the phone and the only solution to the problems is for ATT to continuously send a refurbished phone to replace the old one. The refurbished phone I received is not any better than the original and the warranty does not start over when you are sent a new one (be aware). You are not told this when you purchase the phone. Anyway the warranty eventually runs out, no more refurbished phones, and you are left purchasing a new one. Anyway, the problems are frequent dropped calls, the screen locks and I am unable to get into the phone, it is constantly losing the bluetooth connection, it frequently gets stuck eternally in voicemail (you can't hang it up). Recently there is a loud screeching noise in the background and I cannot hear my conversation. The phone constantly freezes. You have to lock the screen or in the middle of a call with someone it will randomly dial voicemail or the 411 directory. I have had to visit the store over the period of having the phone about 6 times and called the customer service line repeatedly. They will not make good on a defective phone and you are told too bad you get a refurbished repalcement phone. They contend that there is not any problems with the Palm Treo 750.

  • had the phone for a few months now running win 6 no problems at all

  • hey Just want to say this phone is REALLY TERRIBLE really this is already my 5th or 6th one and they all brake down !!! its unbelievable the touchscreen stops running windows keeps jamming up you just wont receive all your calls any more people constantly telling me im not reachable ! etc etc etc... no im gone try the Blackberry 8310 and thats sort of a forced choice beceause of Vodafone rules(shit company also btw)...

  • To hdglivio: this hasn't integrated gps antenna. To BEVERl Y JONES: I bought a battery with 2200 mAh, the original only give 2/3 days - with litlle use.

  • i love it i love it i love it everything is perfect it's a superb phone only problem is a little thick and bad battery life but the rest is simply superb.

  • hello, please anyone can tell me if this phone have gps buit in antena? can i use it for navigation? Thanks

  • does anyone know if Wifi SDIO cards will work on this phone? thanks

  • I've had the the 750v for about 6 weeks from Vodaphone. First the great PDA, excellent hot sync facillity, mobile apps, Internet access and not forgetting the big screen(wow). Now to bad bits, the phone i would describe as "tempramental" or "moody" to put it mildly. Calls freeze in mid conversation. Frequently I can't dial out or access VM, even three bars network strength showing! Pressing the send or central button does nothing except compound my frustration. Is anyone experiencing this? Is there a software issue with the wireless manager? I am tempted to send this phone back to Vodaphone on this experience alone. Its a shame becaue it has a lot of great bits including 3G. Palm engineers can you sort this out?! All Vodaphone can tell me is get a replacement phone, which sounds wasteful...If there is a patch out there to cure the phone problem from anyone I will be glad to hear it.

  • please is there anything i can do to improve the battery life. can i buy another type of battery cuz my battery life is getting out of hand. i cant talk for up to 3hours or evn less

  • Very good PDA/Smartphone. I am a frequent and professional user. Use through push-mail and separate synchronising the calendar fully, phonebook with ca. 1.700 contacts, e-mail , sms and notes, calculator (installed later, was missing)pictures and video. I use it now for 6 months. I used before this Qtek 9100 and HTC TyTn (in my view despite the 400 MH processor still to slow for intensive use of calendar and screen hard to read in sunlight)with a lot of break downs, returns to the shop, etc., but this Treo is by far much easier to use and also less sensitive for the usual Windowsmobile break downs. This is in my view the most userfriendly windowsmobilephone in the market. Allthough the camera is only 1,3 Megapixel even the pictures are quite good. With this phone you can leave the stylus stored and be much quicker. Also suited to use it with one hand. Best formed and bright display also. Only the keys of the QWERTY are not soft Battery lasts one day, so I bought a spare one. Palm understood what a businessphone must do. Compliments.

  • I have the Palm Treo 750v, I have a problem with recieving Bluetooth, anyone have any idea or any software to solve this problem? Please help!

  • just got this fone. quite nice but the battery life really sucks mayn. not impressd with the resolution either

  • the wm 6 rom is available now here for treo 750v and 750: (it is a cingular version, but i installed it on my 750 vodafone version, but everything works fine here on new zealand vodafone network!) download it if interested. not much interesting things. enjoy...

  • hey geduk, thanks for the help. it worked great

  • copy the music inside your memory and paste it on "Add" function when you enter the menu for 'setting' then 'sound¬ifications' then 'manage' then 'Add' then paste there...

  • copy the music inside your memory and paste it on "Add" function when you enter the menu for 'setting' then 'sound¬ifications' then 'manage' then 'Add' then paste there...

  • i think i8t is active sync that stops the screen from working because as soon as i used that it stopped working

  • great phone. i was wondering if anyone knows how to use mp3 music as ringtones? thanks

  • Disk bring with Treo doesn't work well. But If u dowload sync from MS Mobile the latest version to update will work very well. The soud not control smoothly. But if u down load Spb Shell or Spb pcsuite it will work very well. Now my treo 750v work very well. I love it. I don't want to change.

  • Got a Treo 750v 6 weeks ago, needed soft booting to find the memory card after each sync. Did not sync properly, lost all the details of the notes just came back after sync'ing with the titles of the notes all the details GONE. Sent it back for repair Service provider lost it, so replaced it. Replacement phone is worse than the original, would not update outlook, still lost the card, still had sync problems, MP3 developed an unexpected error, as asposed to an expected error ! Now looking for a replacement phone, don't buy one they are rubbish, perhaps its the windows connection !

  • You can try with pass code 0000.

  • wifi? haha.... me personally don't believe that those people who will buy this phone will not be able to afford to pay for the 3G wireless data. then what is the reason they wanna be stuck inside the office or home just to use the internet on the treo for free rather than on computer??? then what does the word MOBILE and WIRELESS mean? and anybody who wonder which one to choose, look no further, this treo is the best one in the market. it is soooo soft and comfortable to hold. I bought the phone because it is palm, and soft touch paint, and the perfect keyboard. don't waste your time hesitate, go for it, and won't regret...

  • hi, mark, I have used treo 750v on vodafone here in new zealand for 5 months already. this phone is no doubt the best PDA on the market. bcoz everybody knows it, the palm treo 750v is the only usable and reliable WM phone available. it only crash after I install too many types of third party apps, and reasonable speed of response on many apps. the most important app is the threaded sms, this is the app that no other phone can beat!! the keyboard was very stiff at the beginning, so I pressed the whole keyboard for hundreds of times using my two thumbs, so now the keyboard become much softer and usable. perfect for one handed typing, now I can type out very fast speed on treo bcoz of the small size keys, so my eyes don't need to move left and right to see all the keys I need to press, and I don't need to move my thumbs much bcoz keys are stick close to each other, unlike the herme, too wide. but the bad thing is that it is hard for treo to handle video, apart from having a square screen, but I don't watch movie as much as before, so don't care. the HSDPA speed on vodafone is not too bad, get 850k on the dslreport.com, and the internet speed is reasonably fast for downloading websites and files, sometimes I get 1.8M when download a file!! the screen is perfect under the strong and direct sunlight, totally readable! even my 700wx's screen fades when under a bit of sunlight...I got a 2400mph battery, so it last for ever...not to mention the total ease of use over all WM pda, this palm treo 750v is absolutely the one to beat. and I recommend it to everyone. just buy it, and u won't regret...

  • pls does anyone knw how to use an mp3 for a ringtone on this treo phone

  • HI does anybody know what bluetooth car kit works with the 750v as i got a parrot ck3100 at palms and parrot advice but they will not pair.problems begin at pin code entry 1234 wil not work as per parrots instructions.help needed thanks J

  • to person below,,youre mad ,,well my bloods boiling with my s/e p990 its been to voda twice and still just reboots whenever it wants ,im sick to the back teeth of it.mY n73 is as slow as it gets and n80 battery is pig plop,,These devices have a long way to yet ~"i mean "its mid 2007 and look at video chat on your comp its rubbish quality still and dont get me started on windows xp they tell you its 3ghz super fast and your connection is 8Mb/s (1MB/s)and so on but really things are that fast or that good...There on aboyut hsdpa yet they need to get 3g up to scratch and ive noticed on bbc technology page drm itunes are drm free but they are putting software in the tune to identify the buyer,,for gods sake its a bloody mp3 dont buy these songs anyone the firm will go bankrupt and the consumer wins,,What im saying is if people just dont buy the product they will soon drop all these big ideas and get the machines or devices to match the hype,,if people vote with their pocket it will knock these firms into touch.

  • i purchased a palm 750 a couple of months ago. i love it when it works but have wanted to throw it against a wall at least once a week. the phone all of the sudden stops working for me. sometimes, it just gets locked up and constantly clicks (as if i'm holding the arrow button down)while the screen is locked. other times, i miss calls because the sound quits working. I have to pull the battery about once every other day to correct the problem with the sound. i've heard something about a patch? does anyone know of a fix for this? i returned a phone w/i the 30 day period but am past that now and am stuck with the one i have. a friend of mine just bought one and his phone locks up saying "call in progress" while no call is being made. he can't end the call or do anything other than pull the battery to reboot. please help.

  • I've been using Palm for the past 8 years. Diligently upgrading from the one to the other. After I dropped my 650 one too many times I though its time to upgrade. At that time only the 650 was available and I mistakenly chose a Nokia E61. What a piece of horse poo! Anyway I got my Treo 750v 2 weeks ago after talking to myself in public many times over the fact that I will be using a Windowze OS. Anyway, at first I was very impressed but after ONLY 2 weeks my batery lasts 22 hours after charging it full, my phone has a mind of its own and decides when it wants to ring and at which volume. This differ everytime IF I am so fortunate to get a call in. When this happen and I am able to press the answer key it take 3-5 seconds before I can hear the other person. Beside that the keypad also chooses to switch itself on at any given time. I contacted our Palm distributors in South Africa and I am exchanging the phone for a new one Friday. BESIDE the above I love the device. Well maybe for Active Stink but that is another story. This smart phone does what it is supposed to do (well wehn it is working in my case). It is fast and working on the web, Skyping, e-mail etc etc is a breeze. Overall just one irritation is that it seems that the left E-mail key is coded into the OS and you cannot assign another application to it. BUT I do understand that under Windowze Mobile 6 much of these problems are resolved. Just my 2 (or 200) cents!

  • I bought a Palm 750 in Hong Kong. At first i was very pleased with it though it doesn't have WiFi. It looked and felt good and was easy to use. But 2 weeks later I couldn't open the messaging application. I contacted the Palm Service Center. They were very quick and responsive. They suggested a hard reset. That worked but of course I had to reload all my data. One week later the touch screen didn't respond. A tried the hard reset again but this time nothing happened. So I had to send it in to the Palm Service Center. I should get it back in a couple of days. I'll give it one more try but if the Treo breaks down again, I'm switching to the HTC S620. At least that has WiFi.

  • i dun believe palm service center is that bad..i ahd great experiences there...they offer me very clear instructions and solutions which i believe no other brand does... And how come its free?? can u explain?? if its really so..i dun mind making a trip there.

  • this phone is for free in the philippines, in fact i already got 2. :d come on visit philippines!

  • I get this phone 6 months ago and usability, reliability and functions are OK. The only issue is the freezes and malfunction which can happen (like when you put it in silence and come back to normal mode, it doesn't ring anymore, or touch panel is deactivated or keypad not working,...). Moreover, customer service is very crap because they absolutely want to avoid return. You consequently have to prove which is really hard when your bug is ramdom. Those issues clearly kill the product because you can't use it anymore as a business phone (imagine loosing a call because your phone didn't ring or vibrate). Bad luck

  • does anybody know when WM6 for Treo is going to be released ? or how to get the upgrade?

  • Hi Everyone, I am a design consultant (Well, some of us have to be!)good design is very important to me however, good design without great function would be like having a sleek new merc sl with a 1.3 engin or perhaps a cherry muffin made with low fat butter, it looks nice but hasn't got the taste. When it comes to business, I make the right decitions based on all the facts that I have, now, without going on to much, I have a little problem that I'm sure many of you must have gone through the same painstaking journey that I have, searching for the ultimate PDA/phone! I realy want to use a windows based device and have the convenience of one database so that I can look up a client and call or email them easily. I also need SAT nav as I often get lost. I also would love to have a great contact management database programme on the device aswell, apart from that, I want a superbly designed quality product with an amazing high contrast detailed screen. I also would like a holiday, a new garden shed and a huge house like my brothers, but all that can wait as I am desperate to buy the right PDA/Phone. So, the question is...Is the Palm 750v it? or should I forget about the windows and buy the new Nokia N95, or wait to see the new Nokia communicator or forget it all and get the old filofax out of the cupboard? Any suggestions please would be welcome.

  • sorry to all those guys out there hu insists that this is a lousy phone... u r totally wrong... i was holding an atom life last week thou i bought it for $1400, i sold it off within 3 days, eventually went back to 750v coz there is no pda in the mkt rite nw which can provide u such comfort, the recorded msg history, the one hand operation purpose, this pda is so wonderful that u cant stop using it, n to all those ppl u keeps complaing abt wi-fi..STOP IT..coz in the mkt nw, theres a combination of wi-fi n memory card under the brand of spectec or sandisk..a memory size of 256mb with wi-fi cost u only $129..palm is the brad which i will continue using to the rest of my life...

  • im a palm user in s'pore..a\as for th playlist issue, u can actually go to edit playlist n add songs one by one from ur memory card by queue up n its auto saved...if theres any questions abt palm treo 750v...post ur comments here..iw ill give an answer to all questions regarding this models...

  • Is it possible to create playlists in Windows Media player, I can see the option in the library, but dont know how to add to it??

  • I got my 750v in December. I am currently on Vacation in Cbean.Last night my battery charging light stop while charging and the battery status is reading 0%.I have charged the battery using my cradle and even though it is fully charged the battery status is still reading zero. Can anyone help me?

  • Been using this phone for last 2 months now - active sync has been a problem once in awhile - but the real trouble is that it needs to be soft reset once two / three days. The messaging app needs a serious re-work !!

  • no wi-fi, no fm radio, bad battery and comes w/ windows! bleh!!

  • what a bad battery !! I mean that if you need a Phone to work you need to use it and you can't work with a battery that last half a day!!!!don't buy it if you need to connect and work with e mail notes and someone else it's a very bad phone.

  • hello everybody i have a great problem with this phone everything is ok but when i receive a phone call i can't hear no sound! the setting is ok the notify works the sms works but no sound when you receive the phone call...pleaz help me!

  • i'm been using e wonderful T750v. Only thing is, mine didn't come with MSN Messenger. i've been searching high and low to install. Anyone?

  • I'm thinking about buying a treo. The thing is I can't figure out which one to get, the 680 or the 750. This will be my first pda. Does anyone have any helpful advice?

  • I just got it yesterday. wow! this babe is so amazing! I feel obliged to share my experience with u people. the form factor totally blew me away. I don't know how can I praise this babe. the screen is not very white, but, it's totally visable even under very very bright direct sunlight! I was shocked to see that! its even better than nokia n93 screen! the colors of the screen is not rich enough to show real colour though, but it's vivid. no problem with the screen. rubberised form factor is very very confortable to hold. it feel very smooth and sleeky on my hand. buttons and keyboard durability don't feel good enough. stylus is long enough to hold confortably. I don't really need it though. qwerty keyboard is a bit stiff to type, more stiff than my treo 650, harder for long typing. the best and the unique selling point is the one handed operation system that palm implemented, its very very good, its the most compelling selling point of 750v, its very convenient when you drive and walk, you can still use all funtions easily with just one hand. but its not 100% usable, u still need to use ur finger once or twice occasionally. anyway u have to LEARN how to use it one handed. I think the qwerty keyboard is not suited for long period typing, because its stiff, maybe it needs to be broken in before you can type on its softer keyboard. I think 650 is better at typing. opera browser can be run properly on 750v. but opera mini cannot be run properly, it can't connect to the internet, don't know why. battery life is ok for the first day of use, I am pretty sure it will be better after 2 weeks. I will comment later about that. and coreplayer doesn't work on 750v at all, I could install it, but when I played video the screen shaked and I had to reset. I haven't try TCPMP yet, I will comment later. threaded sms is very good as well, it records all the conversation, just the same as msn messenger! no video camera, no wifi, and the square screen, all these are the most talked about features that are missing on 750v, many people make excuses that prevent them from buying this one. they are simply not fans of Palm, because this is the first palm that run windows available for any country in the world. using this one is much more enjoyable than any windows devices on the market. just by holding it on your hand is already an enjoyment, needless to say using it everyday. yes, generally speaking , I m very impressed by it. zen of palm, is still alive, and just getting better. even though its got a lot of very deadly disadvantages, but its advantages really stand out from the crowd and are unique. if palm will use VGA instead of QVGA, and everything else remain unchanged, I will be the first one in the world to buy future treo 850v! day dreaming, haha! enjoy.

  • Will this run Calendar Creator and/or PC File?

  • Its a great phone!! I can watch porn at my work with this phone:P.

  • I think that this phone is hott. its just off tha chain expensive. i like all the features on it tho.

  • Does anyone know about voice dailing for the Treo 750v???

  • Somebody know change the language of Treo750V? I bought my in Germany and I cannot change the language to english. Thanks, Daniel

  • I just find a solution to those who use apple mac os. U guys can use a software called 'Missing Sync' for windows mobile. I hope it will help those who wanna buy this babe.

  • Anybody who complain and cry about wifi can just search on google for 'spectec'. That company is the only one in the world to offer mini SD wifi card. Go to msmobile.com for their review of 'spectec wifi card on 750v'. Its not just a pda, and its not just a smartphone, its a combo of pda and smartphone. It offer pda functionality while offer smartphone's ease of use. Its unique in the world. No way hp 6900 serie can beat it(even with wifi and GPS builtin). I really hope this will help those who are let down by wifi-less 750v and keep their mouth shut for a while.

  • Can anyone help with a bluetooth question. I have paired the 750 with my car which is a Parrot CK3000. When I finish a call the phone stays connected to the stereo and it doesn't return to the radio or cd ( which is a right pain because unless I turn the car engine off, the rest of my journey is without music! My very basic nokia phone works great with the car so surely the palm treo should !

  • The best PDA for professionals on go. Ask any professional if he need a 5 Mega Pixel cam and WiFi or accesibility and one hand operation with stability that 750 provides. This PDA is not for all these highschoolers crying about WiFi and please dont be mislead by there crapy opinions. Treo 750 is HSDPA device and Cingular would be launching HSUPA as soon as Mar 07 and with unlimitied PDA access for $39.99 for speeds close to 1MB for downloads as well as uploads you would be stupid to cry about WiFi that bounds you to be in a hot spot. I love this PDA and would recommend it over HTC TyTn not only because one hand operation but also because of screen resolution and much easier funtionality of phone.

  • I just had a look at the wikipedia website searching for treo 650's story, i saw some word 'Zen of Palm'. I saw these words before, but i didnt understand what it mean. So i clicked on it, a large article appeared. Didnt know why..?... After reading through that article, i understand what are Palm's own unique principle and concept when it come to design products and softwares, which are opposite those of HTC. U will know what does 80/20 means, and why palm reduce cost of production, and why convinience and usability surpass long feature-list in many way. To be honest, i was a 650 user, enjoyed its ease of use and simplicity. But disappointed when i saw 750v. But No matter what happens, i m still a palm loyal fan. If it is possible, i will still buy 750v in the future even though i m actually a real power user of PDA. I just cant find a reason why i m so attracted to treo and nothing else, Even if i already know 750v is the lowest specced PDA in the world. I strongly recommend u people who dont understand why Palm designed and released 750v, and why Palm kept the same form factor, and why no wifi inc, to have a search on wikipedia for 'Zen of Palm'. Until then, u people who complained will know why 650 and 700wx and 750v are still the best sellers and most important players in PDA industry and business world. 'zen of palm' is still ALIVE. That article is very comprehensive. Hope many of u enjoy that.

  • I'm thinking about buying this phone, but i can't find if it's compatible with Mac. Does anyone know? I need it because i work with Mac for my company!

  • well i got the phone and yes the battery is crap.. i charge the phone twice a day.. anyways im going to try the battery for the 650 ill keep you guys updated... hey i got the phone for $250 dollars hey for this price why not...

  • Hai... Its a pity to know that the new 680 got a much thinner battery than 650. But u people might try to use 650's battery on 680, the only way to charge battery less and keep 680 for longer(i ve seen some reviews saying that it works!). I been using i320 for 1 month, battery is even worse, not even last a day, sometimes charge twice a day for intensive use(lucky samsung provide a spare one), but without touchscreen its not flexible sometimes. Poor battery really make me not willing to use it any longer, and wanna sell it. I strongly reckon that touchscreen and one-handed are both very important for everyday use. Being a p990i user as well, sick of no one-handed operation. So treo series is the best combination of above things. I still dont know why many of those people out there still use stylus to navigate.?? I even hardly use stylus on my p990i! Just finger is ok for me. But its battery last for ever! 2 days of INTENSIVE use. And it integrate everything, cant complain about it. To be honest, i cant even be bothered to slide out the keyboard on my mini-s. Owning 650 for 1 year already, the longest one ever. It was a pity i sold it.. Still think about it when i see my friend's one. Bad decision.. I miss its perfect screen and keyboard, let along one handed. Hai...... Wanna get a tytn or 750v, cant decide yet. When i see 750, i always fall in love with it and think i will buy it immediately. hate the 240x240 though, Only reason that prevent my prompt decision. Really wanna go back to palm os, but no wap, and crapy blazer, and lack of multitasking, and system instability disappoint me. And meantime waiting for the next generation palm access platform to come out as well, maybe not avail till 2008, hope it can improve those palm os shortcomings. Battery short on my p990i(using it for 2 days after 1 charge)! Gotta go. Bye.

  • there is no wifi card for this model since it's using a mini sd...

  • best looking Palm phone ever BUT it's no HTC's Excalibur...

  • For wifi capabilities, you need to buy a wifi card. No software can do it, as the wifi capabilities are built in. This would take care of it:

  • I want to buy the Palm 750v, but I need wireless internet (WLAN or Wifi). Is it possible to download some type of software that will allow me to use it?

  • i'll buy this one coz its made by PALM despite bad quality buttons and keyb.750 and 680 used together will produce the best experience.i really hope PALM can combine both 750 and 680 into one platform called Palm Access Platform next year.that will include multitasking & all palmos apps & all windows funtions & treo750 design & 320x320 & onehanded navigations. im sure im the first one to buy it!

  • many of those winmob users who despise this one, look away!its not just windows!its palm's refurbished windows!700w's demand suppressed all expectation in the US!short of supply in UK the first week!can u watch a movie on tytn?screen just glares eyes on landscape mode!who can be bothered to slide out keyb every time u type sth?nothing beats one-handed operation & treo keyb!i hate 240x240 though....

  • no wifi but it does have hsdpa software update in 2007

  • Outdate processor, two years-back camera, wifiless, korean made like battery life, but ironicly the price is competing 838pro. What more can I say for this babe, it's just completly yesterday technology with tomorrow price ;P. Go fot it Palm, keep on losing your customers.

  • Can someone explain me if this phone can connect to wifi (even through an accessory)? Thks

  • fantastic phone how can anyone complain about the 750 to set phone to vibrate and ring, press windows key then select settings in the drop down, then select phone,in there you will see "set ring tones for incoming calls"select this,You can now select the event ie phone known caller, all you need to do is tick the vibrate when ringer off and on boxs

  • Simply said: PALM SUCKS! This phone is designed for those who don't care about technology, this is for an old guy that just need to browse internet for business while being paid by the office, who dont care about the knits and bolts like wi-fi etc. yeah ya rite, it's for an old guy that quality is #1 priority. It's like western-branded mercedes that doesnt have high-tech features that asian-branded infiniti (in this case HTC) has...

  • A friend of mine purchased a supposedly unlocked 750v and started running BB Connect for a week or so and then it just stopped working. Apparently if you are not on Vodafone SIM then it will locked itself after about 2 weeks. This has been confirmed with both Palm, Vodaone and RIM. However, the phone works but not BB Connect. So make sure you know what you are getting into before buying.

  • hi, can some one please show me how to set the ring and vibrate at the same time, thanks

  • I have just got the 750 and loaded my contacts (8,800 of them). This makes the search (e.g. when writing e-mails) painfully slow - 5-10 seconds compared to one or less on a blackberry. It makes the device unusable. Does anyone know how to improve this (don't bother saying the obvious "have less contacts") or is this device not just made for this? Thanks

  • i've been using an unlocked 750v from Vodofone on Cingular and T-Mobile for over a month and it's been working great. i chose the 750v based on functionality; form is a bonus... exceptional call volume and clarity, push email works great and - as others have said - the palm tweaks enhance the one-handed capabilities. this is the best PDA i've used, period.

  • Warning for potential buyers of Treo 750v. Have purchased an unlocked Treo 750v in Indonesia last week. When used on another than the Vodafone affiliated network in Indonesia, PT Excelcomindo Pratama (in short XL), the phone is continuously bombarded by "Messages from the Network", constantly updating it with information about the base station I am using at any given time. This is the so called cell info display. This is not only very annoying, but it also renders the phone a crippled piece of equipment as these messages fire up the screen and thus drain the battery within one hour ! There is no way to disable this function (Palm admits this) and even when you totally disable all notifications for incoming messages, which means you wont know if and when you receive other messages as well, the screen will still light up like a Christmas tree !!! Palm is aware of the problem but insists it does not have to solve this provider and Windows Mobile 5.0 related issue and that they have tested the phone on Vodsafone and Vodafone related networks worldwide, further suggesting that the phone will only work properly on those networks. Why then, they sell the Treo 750v unlocked ? Shame on you, Palm.

  • Had the 750v for 2 days and it was pretty good. I tried almost everything in the last 6 months, including SE M600i, P990i, Dopod 838 Pro and I must say that the Palm is the one that fits my need the best. My primary concern is Blackberry Connect and all of those work well. However, Palm did just a few more things to customise WM5 so that a few operations are much easier to use. For example, finding a contact telephone number is a pain in the 838 Pro if you don't slice out the keyboard and the stylus. In the 750v you just press the button and pick. The today screen has also been modified to include the BT icon for easy on/off. Things like that really made the 750v a better phone/PDA than the 838Pro. I don't mind so much the lack of WiFi or the lack of front camera. However, I do think that they can get a higher resolution screen but it is acceptable at it is. The primary function of this phone is a PDA/phone/BB business machine. For those who are looking for 5MP camera, multimedia enhanced phone will be disappointed. if that's what they want then they should look elsewhere.

  • Looks great, works well but one thing's missing ,Wi-Fi support. if that's included this could be the perfect phone

  • For those who demand higher resolution, processor, camera and others, actually they are able to manufacure a perfect one but I always believe they will never want to produce a perfect phone because no one will change or udgrade their phone if it is already perfect. The important thing I think will be what do u really want to in a phone. To me it is essential that programmes must not hanged for PDA and fast. Sorry for camera lovers, u have to look else where than the palm. That is why they are meant for executive usage. Not camera man. But I agree wifi is essential.

  • I am use to Palm OS. When does Palm spec meet present day requiement like the O2 Trion or from the Manufacturer HTC TyTn? The Treo 680/750 profile - one hand operation is fast & desireable than O2 etc

  • I like my Treo 600/650 ease of operation. My friend is enjoying using the Dopod 838 WiFi surfing and calling for free at Hotspots. Can Treo 680 or new Treo "690" comes with Wi-Fi also for your loyal customer to enjoy this technology.

  • Palmone loyal customers, we are the elite, there's no doubt about it. Others only look to features and specs that mostly don't work. We are here talking about using the phone in every moment of the day. A user friendly phone that does everything in a simple, quick and very customized way. I have tried all phones on earth and only Treo 650 and 750 satisfied my needs. After all, do you need a phone for its features or for it to serve your business and personal needs anytime and everywhere. Palmone, keep the good work... Bravo. Zaki

  • i beleive palm 750 are mainly for professionals... all the guys out there...please dont compare 3.2mp with this (PDA)....and for goodness....this is the best pda i ever bought!!! dont be mislead by those comments....cheers for all palm loyal fans

  • I actually waited to buy my next PDA awaiting the 750 release....what a disappointment. a. 1.3 camera..( ok.. maybe not so important) b. No WIFI( In Singapore where they are going to WIMAX the island with many many hotspots, this is a major negative...) c. 3g with no camera in the front? d. USB sync cable still does not charge. With pervasiveness of USB, this should have been included. Saves travelers having to carry another charger around when the computer would suffice.

  • Palm engineers could have created something better than this, I guess they're very cautious with the competence and don't want to hurry. This phone has no wifi, however, wifi cards will work under windows mobile. The problem is that they jut out a little bit from the card slot.

  • Palm 680/750 should research into reducing the Qwerty keyboard half size similar to the revolution SE M600 two-in-one-button, and the screen resolutions be 240X320 (or better 480X640). With future higher spec and features, size must be reduced effectively to to give a reasoably good battery life.

  • they dun make it any faster becuz faster processor = mroe battery usage then they'll hafta install a bigger battery bigger battery = bigger phone y not buy urself a laptop then n a phone when u need to use a phone

  • When get the first info for this PDA, almost go and buy. but after checked the spec, it do not worth with the price, agree with "yesterday technology but tomorrow's price".. Screen resolution still 240x240, i have bad experieance with this size of screen that got so many software couldn't run well. Screed colour, 65k.. it is really difficult to make 256k or higher? Processor is 300Mhz.. really like to know whats the reason don't make it 400 or higher..

  • Well I received my Treo 750v today! wooooow this thing is very fast, Ilove it don't be mislead by all the reviews below. This thing rocks, very FAST eeehaaa

  • Hooooo haaaa haaaa!!! this phone only has 300mhz processor but my PC has 3000mhz!!!!! Hooooo haaaa haaaa

  • I wish you guys would stop beating up on Palmone. If you don't like it don't buy it, it is that simple. Go buy one that is perfect for you and good luck in finding the perfect device, oh by the way when you find the perfect device let me know so i can buy it! PalmOne just keep doing what you'r doing Cheers!

  • i still like 650,because of its expandability, although its got fewer functions builtin, but windows got more features builtin.most normal and business users will find windows treo more attractive and useful, while real power users will find palmos offer superior flexibility.its only let down by unable multitasking and frequent crash.palmos will never be dead!!

  • Like oftenly some people say for TREO... "tomorrow price for yesterday technology..." Geez, some people just blindfolded by their fancy qwerty.

  • only 65k screen? what were you thinking?

  • I must say that I have to consider any phone with a price tag over $600USD with NO WI-FI is a slap to your intelligence! Not to mention the cheezy 1.3MP camera - r u serious??? To add insult to injury, this phone has a slow 300Mhz processor...Go look at the O2's much, much better.

  • bloody brilliant phone, palm have really outdone themselves with this!

  • Are you Serious?!! Same thing as Treo 70o cdma versions. Still no Wifi, same 240x240 screen resolution which is highly annoying and incompatable with many wm5 applications, same megapixel in camera(1.3), mini-sd????? why??, ONLY 60Mb user available memory, slower processor than a TREO 650!!!!!, bluetooth v 1.2(no bluetooth stereo headset support) and like these others guys said, no second camera for 3g video calling(Isn't that what Vodafone is KNOWN for) and yeah extremely weak battery life for a Treo.

  • i must say having tested both the tro and the p990 there si no question that the p990 is a mush better phone and more user freindly. although probably the tro has the looks the p990 is a much better phone.

  • This is a query - can one send/receive business cards, permanantly fix the delivery notification, receive attachments (word/excel)& does it hv scope for increasing the Memory.

  • Nice phone or not, Vodaphone have killed it in the UK by not offering any 3G data packages with it - yep, every single MB you download will cost you 2.35. Compare that to 40 for 1GB with a 3G laptop card.

  • It's OK there's no WIFI, since laptop is better and easier for browsing the net. But lack of HSDPA, poor battery life, no second camera for video call... it's just backward.

  • All you so called Geeks have too much time on your hands. The Treo has won so many awards in the business industry sector most phones company can only dream off. It has won best industrial design for business mobile phone of the YEAR 2006 Business solutions award 2005 and 2006 Since 1999 Wall street has used and continue to sponsor Treo for all there executives So stop winning.

  • All you guys stop wining about Wifi! This is done by a reason. Google around; click and read. This phone is the beste treo i've ever seen.

  • Ringer on/off rocker switch worked fine..... 10 years ago! without any OSD, you'd have to see a MISSED CALL to realise ringer not ON. what about morning alarm going off with ringer off? Think my nokia is still smarter in this dept..

  • This look like a museum set. Poorer resolution, no Wi-Fi for cheaper or free hotspot surfing and VOIP.

  • back in the day you were like wow.. the palm pilot then you got the holy snizzle the treo rocks my stuff.. but now you are like come one guys why are you releasing last year tech on tommorrows unit.. please can some one help out this palm lover in distress..

  • A total disappointment. Whats wrong treo ? they don't listen to thier european customer ? Nokia is making CDMA/GSM phones so whats treo's problem ? They are really getting annoying and soon they will loose the status they have had for year. sadistic approach to making a phone.

  • A total disappointment. Whats wrong treo ? they don't listen to thier european customer ? Nokia is making CDMA/GSM phones so whats treo's problem ? They are really getting annoying and soon they will loose the status they have had for year. sadistic approach to making a phone.

  • Althought the phone looks great I think it would have been alot better off with a Wi-Fi option.

  • Palm Treo -- certainly must have done market analysis. Somehow, I feel the % of WiFi users are to few. I hope its has the most important feature " SEARCH " within, to recall names and events which Palm is known for. Great.

  • i think it's abit big for today's PPC phone. 2 years ago with this size it's high tech... but towards 2007... come on.

  • This is a pretty device.however, the resolution is not good as expected. Is it for saving battery? In my oppinion, I think that this will be beter if included wifi,FM player and development in screen resolution.Does anyone know how much the price will be?

  • Treo needs Wifi and make it avail ASAP

  • I dont think Palm would give Wi-Fi integrated with their phones when Wi-Fi card is sold as an accessory

  • Initial expectation was exciting, but the specifications were very dissapointing. The resolution is poorer than my Treo 650. This is a inferior model. When Palm ever wake up to customer needs, and start designing something like Benq Siemen P51 or the O2? Where is the essential WiFi? I think this a museum model.

  • They still havent added a wifi feature for the treo. Looks like they arent listing to the consumers.

  • hope if you invent Treo 750 v with a wi-fi wireless internet and a FM player too

  • The display of TREO 650 is better (320x320).

  • Hey, I see that someone said that this treo it's compatible with the Wifi card... that's wrong, the treo 700 yes it's compatible but i don't know why the 750 no...... well I hate this phone....=P

  • outlook and size looks gd.. however, i like the user friendlyness of nokia e61 with wifi n running no symbian. i agree the ms pocket pc is not so stable at this point in time. I'll stick to my treo650 till next change.. with more power pack feature. cheers.

  • finally no more ugly antenna on the palm treo.

  • I wonder if they have handwriting input where you can scribble what ever you want and store it as a reminder / foward as a message Also can we edit MS office documents on this phone Is there predictive texting on the phone

  • Treo 650 is much better phone, especialy black tie edition looks very sexy.

  • Unfortunately, the display is small (only 240 x 240). This means that you can not run on this nice device GPS software, like iGO... Not so good for me... And I wait a lot for it...

  • great phone with great features . but it is very bulky

  • hey guys wot abt the treo 700w (windows OS) and treo 700p (palm OS)...i guess even those will be launched pretty soon...

  • Why would you have a front-facing camera? it's clearly aimed at business users and therefore the 3G bandwidth is the key feature, not the gimmicky video calls. Plus it's trying to slim down to appeal to euro users, something you cant do if you add another camera. a brilliant smart device in my opinion. already got one coming on trial from Vodafone :-D

  • nice phone. though, specs says this is a 3g phone. but where is the secondary camera for video call?

  • Hay Jack, Come on Jack, It's your mobile PC with full QWERTY keyboard, not an average phone.

  • Waaa one Palm mobile phone without antena, and unfortunately have "on it" Windows OS ... :(

  • yes. if you buy a sd chip whit whit wifi ; )

  • Having recently tried a windows mobile phone and been so frustrated by the clunky software I am very intriqued by this kit from ppalm.... But it does not appear to have wifi, so I think the key issue is will the 'ease of use' of the palm software counter-balance the lack of wifi? My question to anybody who might be able to advise is - will it be possible to plug in a wi fi dongle of some kind to add the wifi facility?
