Philips X623 - User Reviews

  • i have this phone about 5 years.....still works fine...great battery.... camera have some issues(tent to loose focus after shoot is taken). auto power on and off option...black list....

  • i hope philips will make a qwerty XENIUM android-based phone

  • battery is removable

  • is the battery removabile? or inside like nokia N8? plz answer me

  • I've been using this phone for more than 9 month. It is pretty good for voice calling and texting but nothing more. Battery is superb. I charge it once in two weeks. About dual SIM mode: if you are calling via SIM1, SIM is unavailable. Email processing is extremely basic, there is no push email or Exchange support. Outlook sync is very basic too, for instance I have about 6-10 meetings every week and the phone just runs out of its memory to sync all the appointments. The phone can automatically record all you phone calls in transparent way. Super feature! The phone is all about super battery and voice calling. Now I'm thinking of changing this phone to something more smart as heavy email processing is desired.

  • I have some questions about this phone: Both sims are active? Can I have a waiting call on Sim b while on a call on Sim A? Does it have push mail? Does somebody knows phone's battery life with internet data on? Battery can be switched?

  • gabriel, we have it in Moldova at Conect conect.md/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2610 maybe some of your friends that visits Chisinau can take one for you ;)

  • Pls, anybody know where i can get this good phone in Nigeria?

  • Micro usb is on x 623. Like on motorola atrix.. Update: using tis phone for over 40 day i notise: Everything is veru sharp but only flow is sound recording...Sound is wattery like when i record radio playing :( Camera is ok but it should be better on 5 mpx. Probably phone need ROM update. Sound on speaker is veru clear and sharp- better than on Nokia. thats it: i'm satisfied... all the best from Serbia.

  • Max, thank you for the answer. Two more questions please: * Does it have microUSB or miniUSB? * Can the cell function as a modem? Thanks.

  • A have Philips x623. Very good phone.-..LIttle bit heavy, but solid and well build.. I like option auto power on and auto power off. Software is very user friendly-..-. Battery is very strong.. Software on CD is very usefull- Philips suite. Sound on speaker is very sharp and clear..For example, Nokia have to much of base in sound but x623 is very clear. I realy recomend this Phone.

  • is it a quad band phone? as i have seen on websites that it is a tri-band. Also anybody know where to get it.

  • What the hell are you doing only releasing this in Russia Philips? I'm looking for a good backup phone and this thing is quoted with 50 days battery standby!!!!! Has Wi-fi too and seems to completely pwn the competition. Release it in the UK and give to GSMArena to review please!

  • Hi there, as you might know(if you'r a Philips fan),.. from my previous post related to hands on experiences, I come back with the first look at the new X623! Previously I owned: 9@9k, X620 and X501. I won't bather a lot on details - specifications(U can find it on the page). - looks good, i mean better than previous philips models of it's class; - outside view,.. longer and heavier; - 5mp snapper, with red eye reduction settings; - menu seams a little getting used to, comparing with the previous models that I've had; - user memory, without the sd card is small like crazy, 47mb; - buttons response, it requires getting used to since the central one is split in 2(circle surrounded by a square); it needs a heavier push to work properly; - menu: it has a lot of similarities with S-E phones and its more detailed then on the previous models; So far, it's just a new toy! I'll let you know more as I discover ;)!! Maybe more interesting for some, is that I've bought it through a friend in Russia: 5999 rubles - straight from the shop; comes with 2 years warranty, I was told! I tried to find it on my regular web sites but, apparently so far they don't sell it, so that was the only way to get my hands on it! Over all, good job Philips, on this "simple" one, and you fans know what I'm talkin' about!;) CU soon!

  • Does anyone know where this can be purchased in the United States or have a link to where US dollars can be used? Thanks.

  • Philips X623 provides "Smart" phone users with a choice of long battery life. The short battery life of most "Smart" phones are making users not so smart. I am buying this phone for its strong battery life...even better than a nokia.

  • can be found in Russia

  • Anyone know how I can buy one of these?

  • touche!

  • Touch screen phones are for kids and posers and for people with too much time to spare. This is the closest any manufacturer has come to satisfying sensible people who want a good quality high spec useful phone without all the gimmicks of touchscreens. Unfortunately, I think this phone is only for the Russian market. Does anyone know if it sells online in Europe?

  • There is autofocus there too! Great phone!

  • that is what i need, not a stupid smartphones!
