At 2015 it dropped to water for about 1 or 2 sec..quickly I remove battery and dried everything after that I insert battery for about 2 hr latest everything works as charm.. Now january 2019 still using..This post is done through this grand neo.. Battety still works as charm..I calculated the battery survival its about 0.25 percentage for 1 minute of use now january 2019 still using as my secondary device..

  • I'm surprised that this phone hasn't been discontinued and some people still want to buy this phone. I agree with everyone who said that this phone is obsolete and outdated, yet I am still using this phone since March 2015. I've had plans to upgrade to another device though. Its storage is not sufficient for today's needs. It is laggy and it often struggles in multitasking. The battery life is saddening, but it will last much longer if you turn off mobile data or wi-fi. The camera is not good, but also not very bad either; it just gets the job done.

  • This is the worst phone I've ever had. It lasted only six months working normally. Then it started to lose signal with both sim cards at the same time. I returned it 4 times to an autorized samsung service but they said the phone has no problem. And here I am using it only for facebook. Plus, the service guys send me a test for the phone proving it's okay but the normal user is not able to understand a single thing from the paper. Samsung never again!

  • I've been having this phone for the past 1 1/2 years. This phone is dual-sim, and while using you may find the signal connectivity of both sims get dropped unexpectedly. This can happen more than 4-5 times a day depending on your usage. After 5-10 seconds of a typical signal drop duration, the signal is again restored, and the phone returns to normal functionality. While this happens, any apps currently functioning also get restarted simultaneously. This is a huge issue of this phone. RAM of 1GB is sufficient only for mostly average usage. Further screen resolution is not that great.

  • Own it for almost 3 years now. From time to time had to delete everything for it to become less laggy. The vibration stopped working after 2 years. And had to replace the battery after one year and a half too, which costed me 30€. It's really bad, part of it is because I'm a really heavy user and I have to charge it almost 3 times a day, so I don't think this new battery will last long.   • I have this phone for almost 3 years now. After a year had to change the battery, paid 30 € for it. And now since it's stuck at Android 4.2.2, has a weak hardware and only 8GB of memory, it's hard to use it as a daily driver. A lot of incompatible apps, no space left, screen is smal for reading manga and not really bright, camera is not too bad but still bad, selfie camera is horrible, speakers have bad quality, battery doesn't even last half a day... For me it's hard to use but for a kid that only plays games like Clash of Clans it's enough. That's why I'll give it to my 13 yo brother once I get a new one. [My next phone is probably going to be an Oneplus flagship like the 3T or the Honor 8, since the prices are lower, but of course I want to try a S7 Edge, Xperia XZ, Huawei Mate 9 or LG V20...]

  • OMG, where do I begin? It is bad phone. Bad camera quality, bad signal receiver, it corrupts pictures, apps, and music for a reason I don't even know. So if you ever buy this phone and take pictures or videos with it, back them up ASAP and delete it from the phone so you can have space for new stuff. Also, many factory apps crash for no particular reason. It's like the algorithm it's too much for itself. It is a hard phone to break tho, pretty resistant, although it may bring damage to internal parts. By mid 2016 the phone became obsolete. DO NOT BUY, unless it's a real emergency and you can exchange it for a new one soon.

It get some noise at low light conditions.But flash has get very good job at low light. overall it get not really great colours images. 4.It not a upgradable device so you don't get latest version of Android. 5.If you use full of internal storage it get slow and its so disappointed for me. 6.It has only 5mp rear camera its so disappointed.   • At the time of internet surfing make slot 1 sim,meant for 3g,activated and deactivate slot 2 sim.Do these by going to settings-sim manager.As there is dual sim mode in the handset,no problem will occur in receiving phone call in sim2 which will autometically be transferred to sim1 while surfing internet.I think this phone should have been made for single sim.

  • If you have Google+ account it should be there as a backup. That is if only you enable backup. If you don't you can try searching for photos recovery apps from Playstore. There are plenty there which I had used before. It worked very well and sometimes too well because all deleted photos from many years ago are also being backup. It is a pain to select and delete them again.

  • I bought this phone just short of a day ago, and when I brought it home I checked the camera, and there was in the ugliest Alert box was a camera fail message. I tried almost everything that was regarded helpful to this issue to no avail, and finally found out 1 out of 3 camera modules of new Samsung phones has this issue or develop it, I mean when you buy a phone you assume that it has been tested before being shipped, apparently this was not the case regards to my phone and in hindsight I should've tested everything from camera to the bloody radio, but I assumed that Samsung was a company that provided quality products. So I took it back and got a full refund and bought a Sony, Because I know unlike bloody Koreans, Japanese do not tolerate failed products, or at the very least do not label broken products as new.

  • I don't know what happened with samsung first of all they give me a default phone and secondly when I went to gallery they ask for Rs.7000 for servicing my phone. Here what happened:- I have purchased the so called Samsung neo plus before 2 months and it was good till the first month. the first problem arises after 1 month when the center button stopped working and the next day the sim slot down also stopped working and in the third day the charging slot also stopped working. When I visited the gallery for service they opened the phone and checked the device(for which they asked me to pay Rs.171 for checking alone is this free warranty) and after checking the person told me that the phone has liquid due to which half of the motherboard got damaged and to repair I need to pay 7000 INR. Thats a shock for me as the phone was never involved with any water accident I said them the same. And the person replied that while talking your sweat may have gone under the phone how can they justify this the sensor is on the bottom of the phone. Really lost all the respect for samsung.

Due to the size, I often mistake that I have placed in the shirt pocket and it drops off and crashing land and all the 3 pieces blown apart. ie. the front panel, back cover and the battery. I am used to drive Motor cycle, once it so happened that I had to share my motor cycle HERO PASSION PRO - with 3" x 18 " tyres and drive HONDA ACTIVA. I did not know that Honda ACTIVA - loses its center of gravity. While driving on Greams Road Chennai, there was a pot hole, and i went over it. The mobile flew from my pocket and was lying scattered around 20 ft apart. With great heart I stopped the byke in the middle of the road collected all the 3 pieces. Saw whether the glass was broken. To my surprise it was intact. I switched on the phone worked fine. This happened during Feb 2015 Even today it is working fine without any issues. Its a real great smart phone

  • All smartphone hangs. You just need to clear the ram and clear cache data. My phone use 67% of ram while browsing and youtubing with no hanging issue. Never install clean master, worst apps ever. Do not open more than 3 apps at the same times. Dont play hd games ever. Dont clutter your smartphone with movies or music videos. Cheap phone, you get what you paid for. Grand prime is better with qhd display and galaxy alpha-like touchwiz ui though with slightly higher price.

Go for it if you need cheap phone. I also like that it come with two other colors beside black and white which is orange and lime green. It remind me of galaxy s3.

UI is really great with good screen colours. and phone dosent lag atall, no stcking or hanging problem at all..battery back up is also good after browsing for 3 hrs continuosly it got down to 20%..   • Hello ! I bought today a Samsung galaxy grand neo plus dual sim, and tommorow I will quickly return it. The main problem I have noticed is the lack of signal at the sim 1 and the disconnection from the mobile internet every 1-2 minutes. This is very annoying when you are in an application or browsing the web ... I owned a nokia xl, I will return at this phone, cause it is more reliable than this grand neo plus.

  • I am not used to driving scooters after I sold my Chetak. I preferred the scooter because It had two seats. The single seater is not stable on roads. I shifted to motorcycles. My motorcycle was borrowed and in turned was given a Honda activa . I drove it on Greams Road in Chennai on 04.03.2015. The road had lots of potholes and when I drove on them my mobile SAMSUNG GRAND NEO purchased during July 2014 for Rs 14,500.00 simply flew off from my shirt pocket and crashed on the road. The glass part jumped more than twice before landing 10 feet away from the battery and the back cover. I stopped the Activa in the middle of the road and stopped the traffic and picked the mobile parts. The Traffic patrol van also came close to me to note why I was blocking the traffic. As soon as I pushed the scooter to the roadside, thinking I lost Rs 14 500.00. I glanced at the glass. The Glass was intact !!!!. The edges where badly bruised. I switched on the phone and surprised to see it working. I checked the touch screen it was working fine. Made a call , and the call was also good and no difference was seen in the quality. This is not the first time the mobile had fallen. Many a times I used to pull the drawers and the mobile connected to the charger gets dragged and fall off into 3 pieces. It happened more than 4 or 5 times But it never had this test of rude accident. Thank God the phone is working I did not spend a single paisa for any repair work KUDOS TO SAMSUNG

  • yes the plus version not only kitkat but come with different soc, spreadtrum sc8830 + mali 400mp2. mali gpu is great for gaming even asphalt 8 & gTa san andreas work fine

  • Hi i bought Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo 6 months back,the day i purchase the phone i am in problem, because its not downloading or uploading fast, even in 4G speed.

  • i have both of them , S3 is full loaded with options and better cam , better resolution +16 MP Grand neo has only one better option , screen size in 5.1 against 4.8 for S3 , but S3 is far beyond better

  • This phone is trash, the Videocore GPU is underpowered and won't ever run any decent game at reasonable FPS. Forget this thing if you're into gaming, the low RAM and outdated OS won't help either. Get the Moto G (2014).

  • Samsung is not going to release major updates anyways. There were some minor stability updates but now even they're stopped. If your phone hangs a lot then you must root your phone and over clock it with no frills or any other app. If you do not want to root your device as rooting will void your warranty then 1. Clean catche. 2. Do not use boosters. 3. Uninstall unused apps. Or make apk backup of unused apps and then Uninstall them. 4. Disable system apps like I don't use chaton messenger so I disabled it. 5. Keep your internal memory and then sdcard clean. Move all your downloads and Bluetooth files to sd card. Plus move apps to sd card if possible. Then clean your sd card as much as you can. Connect your phone with PC and remove unnecessary files as unclean sd card can also lag your phone. And remember DON'T USE BOOSTERS. After all, reboot your device. I hope it'll work for you..

  • I regret buying this mobile because it doesn't have kitkat and it is getting dead slow every time I run some application. I have to restart my phone more often when ever it gets hanged. It gets hanged up very easily.Software updates are not up to the level.

  • This is very worst phone interm of Network. Its not catching the network automatically and most of the time showing Emergency calls only.Even WIFI connection is dropping out frequently.Support changed the motherboard twice and still not the issue resolved. Worst response from samsung headoffice they are not listening to the user and they want to get away from the issue. Its a faulty model. Dont go for it.
