My very first colour screen and first "camera" phone, i bought it early 2003 but took it back a week later because of all the hassle of carrying around the seperate camera, but luckily my brother had a 7 month old P800 on contract but hated the phone and i bought for £100, and 3 months later i did straight swap for someone's N-Gage because i also hated the P800.

my first one too, paid �189 for it on orange, bought it in argos, i remember the way you could switch it off, hold a button, remove the battery or something along those lines and it would remove a few preset pictureand give you a little more memory, used mine a fair bit on the old gprs, the poly ringtones and the attachable vga camera with its own 1mb memory was pretty good for the time

lol! i had 2 t300! the first one the screen died on me! but the second one i still use it! i know it sounds lame but the battery holds up to 5-6 days! maybe be a old phone but its simple and useful! get this phone just so you can have one when you are traveling or smt! cuz it has a damn good battery!

i bought this cell in summer of 2004 for about 55 dollars, i loved its inferface and it was very user friendly, i used it for few months then sold it to a friend of mine for about 50 dollars and told him that its great and you may need a battery replacement within a year since i got it second hand and there was no gurantee for its battery time... he still is using the same cell phone with the same battery and the battery still goes through 2 days with about an average 2 hour talk time. its a classic phone. SE still uses this classic user interface in its newest mobiles. subsequently i used k500 k750 (another classic) and now using w880i.

This phone is my back up phone should anything ever happen to my motorola. I have a cute red one. Didnt have a camera or blue tooth but at the time i was using this as my main phone it didnt really matter very much to me. I didnt like the quality of my infra red though, and when i switched it on it kept freezing and was very slow at first, but once it started up it was fine! i really liked it :)

great phone. :) i've had it for over 4 years and i'm replacing it tomorrow by w880i. it served me very very well, almost had no problems with it. it even fell into water, but again, it worked perfectly. i just hope this new phone be as good as my little t300. :)

I've had this phone for almost 4 years, and It's been so good to me :) Although it's so outdated now, with it's chunky design, pixelated screen and lack of cool features, it's such a trusty and reliable phone. Even after all this time, my battery lasts at least a few days. I get reception almost everywhere. I have dropped this (some of the time quite violently I might add) more times than I can count. It's fallen in water, gotten covered in dirt, etc...and it still works great, despite it being cracked and beat up. I'm getting a new phone soon, but it was a fabulous first phone to have!

I just love this phone. It's incredibly cute. Had one for 2 years and then it got stolen. It's very tough; fell just about once a day as well as in water a few times. Didn't even complain! My next phone will most definitely be a Sony Ericsson.

I hade this phone for over 3 years now and it's indeed a good phone. The battery is excellent. I had this phone when my Nokia 3210. My nokia's been dead for almost 2 years now, and i replaced the battery there 2x already. Up to now, am still using my T300. I had a camera for this phone and once I transferred the pix on the PC, it looks excellent. I even used this phone as a modem (GPRS) for my old Pocket PC to connect to the internet. It has excellent infrared and transfer features... compared to nokia and panasonic phones. I had my nokia's LCD replaced but for this phone, I knocked it many times... even dropped it like 10x-15x over 3 years and the LCD still works ok, no damage on the system...covers and keypads. The downsides are, the covers for infrared keeps falling (actually it's gone right now); the keypads are kinda hard. It's a breeze doing SMS with nokia 3120. In time, the phone just restarts when you're on the phone talking for quite a long time (around 2hrs) But overall... I would say this is good phone. I'll rate this 8 of 10 :)

This phone is old now, but even taking that into account it is crap. I have suffered with it for years now for economic reasons and I'm finally getting a new one. Thank you Jesus! The phone's processor is not adequat for the operating system, which means it takes it up to 2-3 seconds to react to button presses at times. The OS is in general in an unfinished state; important functions are missing, such as delete all emails. I have 96 emails on the phone, that would take me 200 key presses to delete! I also can't save a phone number from an SMS! The phone also shuts down now and then, and the SMS software crashes. When the buttons light up, the text can't be seen in normal indoor light. (It becomes similar in color to the button color.) I need to turn off the light in my room to be able to SMS! It's a joke. The one good thing with the phone is the battery time, which is excellent. But save yourself some headache and stay away from this phone.

there was a guy said this phone has a camera it does not just want the customer to know this i did not purchase but it looks ok.......the colour screen and everything is catchy. i wen through the specifications, its most understandible ...sony ericsson is a good brand however so keep up the good work.

This phone is a fantastic phone! When I bought it, it was one of the first colour screen phones, and I thought I was just the coolest! For performance and features it definately gets 9/10, but perhaps only 6/10 for the design, simply because it just isn't very stylish. I parted with it a year ago to give to my mother and she loves it. She's one of those mums that really hasn't gotten a grasp of modern technology but she finds this one very easy to use. If you are wondering whether or not to buy this phone, I say go for it- you won't be disappointed.

i had this phone and i think it was brilliant for its time.my friends who had phones twice the price with twice the number of display colours couldnt match the qaulity of the screen and the camera was excellent.on the screen of the phone you couldnt see what was going on but once i transferred it to my laptop the qaulity was excellent even better than todays phones cameras, definelty better camera than m v600,razr, even nokia's n90. im still trying to figure out what megapixels the camera was.

I have this phone now, although I just ordered at Nokia 6101. It was pretty good for it's time (4 years ago). The above thing says it has 3 games. Mine had all of those plus Erix (a game that t-mobile most likely added on). It came with 29 rings, and 54 images for backgrounds and screen savers. Some of the stupid things about this phone are the screen savers (the image appears for probably 20 seconds, but then a clock overrides it). Also, the side buttons don't do anything accept show the phones "status" and adjust speaker volume during a call. There actually is a camera for this phone, it attaches into the bottom of the phone. The camera takes good pictures, however the screen has a low amount of pixels, so the images come out blurry. However when I sent the image to my friends Nokia. It came out crystal clear. The connectivity is so-so..it has an infrared port, and anything else has to connect into the bottom. This phone is pretty durable, I have dropped it several times and all that's happened this some scratches, and one time the phone did come open (front panel came off), but that was an easy fix. Speaking of which, the front panel and the keys can be changed too. However when you're doing this...make sure the infrared cover doesn't fall of, cause mine did. Anyways..that's pretty much all I can think off. Overall for a first time phone I would give this one a raiting of 8 out of 10.

I have this phone. It's very good. No, i'm serious. Well the maximum volume is a little bit to silent, but the rest is OK. There are 3 games on it, Minigolf, Blackjack and Alien Scum. You also have a lot of pictures on it. Nice poly and mono ringtones. It has vibration, alarm , calculator, agenda, WAP, infrared, MMS & SMS, a fex themes, composer and i have the CommuniCam. The cam is bad,to be honest, if you take a picture you can hardly see what you photographed. I hope my opinion helped ya. =>Oh yeah, what's better? The SONY ERICSSON T300 or the SONY ERICSSON Z300? Had this phone for two yers now ... The best thing that this phone has is the battery , after 2 yars it still lasts for a week without talking too much . The screen is also "great" if you think that it's sometimes better than other models with 4.096 colors . Althow i't kind of big i'ts one of the best choises for the range of price !!!

The best advantage of this phone over comparable models by other mfrs is the infrared port. With the infrared port I easily transfer names and phone numbers to and from my Palm PDA. Saves a heck of a lot of data entry.

We have 3 of these in the family for 2 years now. Mine is the oldest and it was somewhat slower than the others so I had its software updated to the newest version for free (within warranty time) and since than it's perfect (not that there was any serious problem anyway). All in all it's a great phone. None of us have ever had a problem with it. The battery lasts for days depending on the usage; the screen is ok, the sound quality is good. From the 3 people (including me) who have one in the family: 1 will keep it as long as it works while two of us are going to go for a K750 / W800 later this year or keep it until (affordable) 3G arrives (another year, year and a half in our country). To the previously mentioned concernes: I would advise those who had a problem to have the firmware updated at their local SE affiliate. Of course the screen "is a joke" now, but back then it was (one of) the first mid-range phones to have a color display!

Clearly the SE300 beats the moidel from Sagem because its got a bigger memory. On the Sagem you can only download one game at a time whereas with the SE300 you can download up to 5 Mophun games depending on how you manage the phones memory.

This phone is awful. I have never had a problem with reception in my area when I used my oldler phone. With the t300, my calls are always being dropped and my carrier says tough luck you had it more than 3 days. Word to the wise it may look cool, and have a few nice features, but it is crappy when it comes to reception

Oh, and for those of you who really don't like the look of this phone-- I agree that the powder blue cover looks HORRID.. but when u see this phone with the red or dark green covers, it looks DAMN smart. (See my other review below)

Before buying the Sony-Ericsson T300, I read the opinions here and was fully expecting to get a feature-packed phone at a value price and a short battery life. What I ended up getting was a feature packed phone at a good value with a VERY good battery life. I totally am amazed at the number of features packed into this phone for the price when compared to other company's phones with less features and more bucks. I like the simple clean design and the very lightweight feel. I get great performance indoors and out and the resolution on the color screen is fabulous for the price. The menus are easy to navigate and the sound quality is fab when compared with other GSM phones. If you like getting more bang for your buck and want GPRS, color, and lightweight size... I strongly recommend this phone!

I finally decided to buy the t300 here in mexico and i must say i love it!! it is great and for a really attractive price. The screen is great! the polyphonic tones are great and i�ve downloaded some from the internet. The camera isnt that big deal but im really happy with some pictures i�ve taken in daylight and when i pass them to my laptop via the infrared port i get really good pictures very easily. It is a really good phone and about the design I would say that it looks 1000 times better once you have it in your hands and on. The only prob I�ve had is that it seems that the blue part of the cover is not well glued to the rest but i guess I�ll change it as soon as I can. Finally it cost me 2300 pesos (210 euros) with 1000 prepay credit (92 euros at 0.36 euros/minute) including the communicam!!!

You're right...there are 200kb memory unused after the master reset. Although with my "fast" calculations the pre-installed stuff(themes,games,pix,ringtones,mms e.t.c) of SE takes over 500kb. So,i don't believe that there are actually hidden....maybe 200kb are tied from the phone as space for "operating system",phonebook and sms. In that way T300 has 800kb memory, but actually only the 600kb are dynamic. There is no other expanation...i'll try to find more information from local SE (GREECE)and i'll write u back.

But the phone is not really empty, you sill only have about 560 kb, instead of let's say 800. All the themes. pix and sounds of SE are still in the phone but they are just hidden, but cram up space anyway :( I agree with you that the SE stuff is crap. And I do think that SE has to make a software version where you can delete the stuff!

Hi EDWIN.... That's no problem for me....there are million of backgrounds,themes,games,ringtones better than the predefined crap of SE. Make a backup of your phonebook,sms,calender etc. Do a master reset and upload all your personal settings to your "empty" phone. Then go to www.clubsonyericsson.com for the other stuff! Read again the necro's msg...it'll help you. Good luck.

Hi Panos, How did you get it to work? Whenever I reset my T300, pop the battery out after 13 secs, and restart I have no more themes, no more pics, no more sounds. So I can't chose which one I want to keep and which one I want to delete. And if I reset after that again, all the old stuff is back. Please help....

Well, this phone is great... when you fix the memory leak :) FIX: 1. backup all your data (optional) 2. do a master reset 3. after exactly 13seconds pop the battery out 4. upload all the data to your mobile (optional) TADAAM, you can now delete whatever you wish, and it frees the memory when you do - no more predefined crap

I think the main problem is that 3510i hasn't got IR. and can it have a camera? and also: everybody has a nokia, for me, as i want to be more special, T300 is better, cause 3510i is just another good nokia phone. I had now bought SE T68i, which is I supposed much better then NK 3530 and SE T300.It has everything one require exept polyphonic ringtones. And volume of ring tones is also very low. Sorry.. I read a finnish mobilephones magazine that compared few phones polyphonic ringtones. First was Samsung SGH-T100 (16channel) Second was T300(24channels) third Nokia 7650 and last 3510i It read that nokia 7650 has 24 channel polyphonic and N3510i has 4channel

For Jakov: It's true that it has 16 channel support (it's midi standard) BUT it only plays 4 notes same time and that�s why they don't sound as good as samsung or se(nokia 7650 can play 16 notes same time). In t300 you can download any normal *.mid file wia wap, irda or mms and i have found many sites from wap where they have normal mids for download so why you say that you can only download SonyEricsson ringtones?. And why you can�t send music in nokia with mms like any other brands? And lacking of irda or real data cable is big minus

FOR KRISTIAN:Don' lie please,becouse 3510i has 16chord polys,and you can get a way better games.Any of the softwares on 3510i is good,I used one of the first 3510i that came on the market,and it didn't has bugs ,not at all.With 3510i you can get any poly from the wap,and with T300,you can get only SonyEricsson ones,and they are not popular songs neither,only stupid melodies.Not to talk about the screen,wich is much better on 3510i,...

I had nokia 3510i for one month and i was so disappointed..It has many limits in mms and gprs. And also i had so many bugs(in java,gprs and wap usage) although i had the newest software. Then I change it to SE T300 and it�s way much better than nokia 3510i. Ok the display has only 256 colours but the nokias display wasn�t so good either. And polyphonic ringtones (24channel) are way much better than nokias 4-channel mids (they were terrible). Both phones has 3+1 gprs but in t300 it seems to wrok little faster. I say that T300 is much better value for the money than nokia 3510i

FOR GSM LOVER:Use this phone,as I did,and you will se that ca needs 20 seconds to store picture+ 15 seconds to send it to phone,so that it can be sent with MMS.Pictures are good,but they sucks when seen on the phones screen,unlike 3530(3510i),3530 has even better ringing tones,and you can change both covers(front,and rear too).I have just told that P800 is great product,but way to expencive,and you can't use it,except in office becouse its materials are week and sensitive.Neonode looks like it is week,but it is actualy a resistant phone(like T68i).

I have this phone for a week now and it's really great.I've been researching for past two months wich one to buy and this one is the best one for this kind of money (300 EUR).The pics quality is really good, and today I send pics I took with it via IR port to my PC.And they look really great. Sonyericsson website is also good thing about this phone cause you can get all kinds of software free (games, image editor, mms editor etc.) The sound is just like on PC. The only thing I am missing on this phone is a calendar...otherwise it's the best phone around.

I bought this phone a couple of weeks ago and it is great, better than the T68i, the T68i, does come with polyphic ringtones, the T300 does. And they are basically the same phone except different styling and I think the styling is funky, very indiviual. For the money it is the best color handset arround. I urge everyone think about buying it to get it, but Sony Ericsson still has a long way to come with its camera technology. AND IT ONLY COST �179.99 handset only from the carphone warehouse. Go for T68i, the software and resolution is better. I used the T300 to read SMS and it takes long or slow to respond. The shape and design of T300 is odd, I used the MCA-25 camera on T68i and picture turn out better than T300. If you can afford a bit more, go for T68i unless.....

I have had this phone for a few weeks now and whilst the software and applications are great - the actual phone housing in pants - to the extent that i pulled the phone out of my jeans the other day and the bit of plastic at the bottom where the battery cover latches into snapped in 2 - had to resort to super glueing it back on - not great but still works i suppose!!!!

I recentlt bought the T300 bundle with MCA25 camera is only cost S$198 with 2 yrs contract comparing to T68i at $398 without camera and also 2 yrs contract. It's a good buy because everything almost the same except T300 without bluetooth but compensate with the Polyphonic tones. The only big difference is the design of the phone, very individualistic.

Nice phone for the money. BUT don't be fooled into believing this is a T68i in a cheaper case. While the enclosed camera, polyphonic ringtones and very low price are outstanding, it is lacking a number of key features. First: WHERE IS VOICE DIALING?? I had that feature on a T28W over two years ago. It's not on this phone! Second: Why is there no calendar? How difficult is it to make a calandar like the T68? Third: What happened to the smart battery info? Now when I move the slide down, it only tells me the date, profile and (this is really rediculous) the model: T300. No kidding. Even on the T28, it told me how many minutes of battery life was available. This I missed when I used Nokia and it's really sad it's not here. Fourth: Why can't I edit what fields I want in my contacts? On the positive side, the feel of the phone is actually better than the T68i I had. The T68i felt fragile. The T300 and it's joystick system seem more rugged. Time will tell. Yes, it's a bit bigger and heavier but looks like it will wear better over time. I will probably never get over the fact that I can't voice dial with this phone! It's a step sideways and in a few ways, a step back. If you want all the features, save your $$ and buy a T68i.

the t300 does have infra red, picture phone book, pretty much every thing, no actually every thing that the t68i has and more (24 instrument poly ringtones!!!!!) every thing and more, except bluetooth, oh and its got the best downloadable games 2, check out mophun, much better than java on the nokias and all the other blocks of crap.

There are many ppl saying that its ugly and heavy but 99% of them is Nokia fanboys who have only seen it on pictures. I'm telling you, the pics doesn't justify the phone! t68i with polyphonics and Java - Unfortunatly it wud compete with the upcoming Sony-Ericsson z700, so as perfect as it would be, we will never see one :-(

What do I care about design? It's decent and there surely will be other covers available. What I find more interesting is that it has very good features at a more than decent price. I will be very tempted to buy one.

This phone just rocks.What i have read about this phone is that it will most probably cost about US$150 max.And for those who want to get a blue tooth and infra or radio out of this phone at this price...just dream on.Go dig out another couple more hundreds and get other handsets.

i see you guys are a bit mixed up with this phone so let�s set things right:1)there are no phones write now with 4096 colors except 9210.2)this phone is indeed not beuatifull that�s why it has changeable covers which you will find hundrends of different kinds of designs!3)this phone is not a new version of t68i in fact it does not have as many features as t68i like bluetooth/infrared/picture with phoneentry etc..4)this phone has some new features that t68 doesn�t have like changeable games and polyphonic ringtones and its aim is for younger people as you understand and the price of it will be the same as ericsson t39 now.i hope i helped you!

This phone looks damn ugly. Its features are great, even better than the T68i but the design is soooo ugly. Couldn't SonyEricsson realese a new version of T68i with the same design but with Java, Polyphonic ringtones and changeable designs?!

This phone is going to be very cheap and it hope to capture the low end market where people with their nokia 33XX and want to change to colour screen..............I think sony ericsson will do well in such strategy in capture the low end market...........
