To unlock the phone we have to press on the screen at two places one at the bottam and the other at the right hand side middle. The right handside middle does not work. what do you do? Please advise.

Go to Settings, System, screen then click on align screen. point your stylus at the exact center of the cross wire uptill it aligns.

Go to settings, then connections, you will find blue tooth option. enter it and check the blocks. for recieving go to settings, connections, beams, check all incoming beams. For sending any file or contact go to file explorer tap the file for some time and you will find a menu, select beam file, it will guide you to select the devices nearby you. select and tap send option of appropriate device.

you can upload mp3 in ur phone, but cannot use if as a ringtone, for that you need to convert it to a wav or wma format. which can be done using windows movie maker

i have imate jam black.the operating of this phone is very tough.every time screen alignment required.voulume is very low.battery back is very low .with out using phone for a day it gives a 6 hrs back.its beacause of led light i believe. can and other pc phone of imate you can recommend

This is a class set.I cross a hardle to gprs settings.It is very different from other mobile.It is tough to get internet settings for connecting to my pc .But atlast it is done.Now i am connecting to my pc via this device.But please someone tell me how to send files to my jam from my pc by bluetooth(bluesoleil) like songs ,video ,images.help me.

i recently bought an O2 XDA II Mini which is the same as this except it has 64 mb RAM and the JAM black has 128. as far as i know this is the only difference yes you can use msn messenger on pocket pc based platforms. just download msn messenger for pocket pc or email me and i can help you.

USE THE MP3 FOR RINGTONE: copy the music that you want into the \windows\rings directory ans select it by manually select in the phone in the setting block

The power battery was low, and I opened the back cover of my i-mate jam, after I returned the cover it cool worked .But I went to recharge the battery for about 20 mins .I started to use a phone but it stacked and I tried to restart it. good phone overall...if he is giving you any kind of trouble....do this...take the staylus i.e. stick comes with your phone...press standby/mobile off key & insert that stick in the hole which is located besides the charging & handsfree hole, pressing the key & inserting the stick in hole should be at a time..your mobile will get reset & work faster....remember to remove MMC card...doing this "DATA WILL GET LOSS" data means not the software..only songs/phonebook etc.

I have had 4 or these phones in the past 3 months, each one had a diffent problem. yes it is agreat phone will lots of functions but it's running windows 2005 very slow, photos come out dark and it takes ages to make a call from it using your fingers as you have to keep using the stick every time you wish to do something on the phone. i won't by buying another cheap phone like this I'll still with Nokia their trouble free.

Hey Manish, you can buy this for around Rs.27,000(600-610$) in Mumbai. There is a wi-fi, 256mb combo card available from sandisk too. wen u connect it, u can use both wi-fi and the memory.

I've Imate JAM BLACK and i think its a perfect piece for those who love music and watching movies.Have great Sound and Best Video Result.So far betther than Nokia9500 N SE w800i.And Yes as a Phone ive no Complain im using dis PH in UAE.No signal's drop nothing at ALL.And with externtal WIFI card u can run the internet very smoothly. hi, i just purchased the mda compact2 which is vertually identical to the imate jam. I got a software cd of a friend, the cd contains various programmes and games, it also contains tom tom 5 and a couple of other tom tom versions, the software works fine on my friends mda compact 1 and other mda compact 1 devices, but for some reason i am having problems when it comes to installing the programmes from the cd, esspecially the the sat nav programmes, please can someone help on this matter. well there da same practicly only the OS is different n a slower cpu n its alot bloky than the jam i advise you to get the jam instead as with the k-jam when open files it tennds to load longer hope that helps

I puchased the same phone sold in the UK by Orange as the M500 i think it,s the best i had so far once you sort out where everythings stored .and you learn how to move the folders /files it words a dream . Music and Video,s sound great and with a big memory card no need for an MP3 player .all i can say is it is alot better than all the phones iv tried . tried most and it,s the BEST BY FAR.

imate jam black is excellent,it kills imate jam silver and o2 mini.i have been using this cool looking pda for a week now,no problems with anything,my navigation system works so well.128 mb ram memory helps a lot and makes much more faster. i will not change my device unless imate makes another black with 2 or more mp camera or built in gps or does something very cool. i am very happy with imate jam black :)

This phone is very dangerous. Making a call whilst driving takes about 2 mins to find the number and by that time you have already totaled your car. The Blackberry's and Sony P910 are alot more user friendly and provide all the functions of this phone. I took it back 3 hours after I bought it as it was so unfriendly to use.

Why exactly does this phone go under so many names? The guys at ImportGSM.com list it under a lot of different names - they said that there are different manufacturers for the exact same phone, hence, different names. Still a sick phone, but why doesn't iMate get their naming right? ;)

Everything is great about JAM series (i don't need wifi and life without keyboard is just fine). My major concern is that the pictures and video of my imate PocketPC (which is rated at VGA) comes out better than the JAM pictures & videos (which is rated at 1.3MP). This is especially true when taking pictures & video in-doors. Does anyone else have seen this problem? Can anyone tell me if this has been fixed in imate JAM Black and/or K Jam? Thanks.
