According to notebookcheck.net, this phone can heat up to around 47.8 Degrees Celsius under 100% CPU Load. You can get quite close to this when browsing (I browse a lot) using the stock IE11, 47.8 Degrees Celsius is uncomfortably hot. I tried this browser by eyacker.com, it's being advertised as a lightweight browser. I started using this and my 820 longer heats up excessively :)

I got this on 16 March 2019 for £20 in great condition, it was a bargain, honestly. I don't know why but I really wanted it. Currently using it as my secondary phone to my J7 Nxt. Ratings: Performance - 7.5/10 Battery - 4/10 Camera - 7/10 Design - 8/10 Screen Quality - 7/10 Build Quality - 9/10 Value - 10/10 Overall - 52.5/70 (75%) This phone is decent as long as you can live with the relatively mediocre battery life when it comes to browsing, standby is good though. The 8MP camera is surprisingly good too :) I recommend it.

Got my Nokia Lumia 820 Developer Device as a gift for being one of the 2012 Nokia Champions in Asia. Its still working until now, just that the sim tray broke so I purchased a full motherboard (costs 1.1k Php) instead of just the sim tray (costs 170 Php). I just had to hard reset it coz its a second hand part and the previous owner's data still intact. I was surprised that it was in WP 8.0 so I had to upgrade it to 8.1. Then since Microsoft pulled the plug for WP 10 update on this lovely device, I just manually upgraded to WP 10 using offline update. Now I have it back as a backup phone. :)

Just got it, cost me £20, also got a glass screen protector for £2.95. Great performance, decent battery life (6-7hrs SOT) unlike the 4.5hrs stated by GSMArena. Best build quality I have seen in a phone, better than all the iPhones, the 160g feels great. Got this so I could relive the WP experience, never been updated still on its original WP 8.0 Firmware, no Amber or Black update. Worth it. It will be my tertiary phone.

I wanted a Nokia Lumia 820 (as a third phone) so my dad ordered it for me. It cost £20 and £2.95 for a tempered glass screen protector. It's also on its original WP 8.0 instead of 8.1. Should arrive in 1-3 days. I love the design, screen and weight of this phone. It's a bit of a beast, average length but a heavyweight, just like me but I'm losing weight as I play football everyday now. As of the moment, there is currently no way to pay for any goods via a NFC enabled windows phone (Only Android or Apple Devices) Have the infrastructure in place. Sadly until Microsoft start introducing it to there phones (and banks start excepting there's as well) there in no foreseen date on when windows phones will have this capability.

Nokia 820 is LTE bu not VoLTE, so only for data you can use and not for voice. Now come to Jio, they are full VoLET, hence the phone should support Voice over LTE (VoLTE) so Nokia 820 and iPhone 5C are not compatible currently despite having LTE capability. Now coming to other android phone. My MI was also LTE, but after upgrading the software, they have released, it has started supporting Voice over LTE also. Don't know when the upgrade will come for 820/ 5C. May be it is due to quality, the company not relesing the patch to support VoLTE of these model. so until the patch is not released, It will not support Jio/ VoLTE.

Almost all (but not all) Lumia devices have those battery problems. Better try with replacing the battery, no other wise advice I can give you right now. My batt actually returned back to live after I updated from Win 8.1 to Win 10. (Sorry for my bad english. I hope u found some of my advices useful). Cheers

I upgraded my 820 to WP 10 yesterday. The 820 needs to by on WP 8.1 at a certain build number. Join the Windows Insider program, download the app from the store and upgrade. It takes awhile but it worked for me. So far no problems, phone works fine up to now but as stated it has only been a few hours. Google WP 10 and the instructions can be found.

I got my phone in June 2013, the next year we got one for my gf as well. Sometimes our phone displays have been broken and we have iphone 4s for replacement - damned be the time spent on iOS, it just doesn't feel right. Both phones have new screens now and still running strong. One of them on 8.1 and the other one 10 preview. I would love to see 10 actually released now AND it would be sweet to have miracast enabled as well as the hardware ACTUALLY supports it. It is software limitation.

May be you need to take your phone a service center. I've been using it for more than two years. No problem, as fresh as it's new. A little bit shake or virtual vibration take back the screen from its dark screen in calling mode. If it doesn't work in your phone, that's mean your device is not ok.

Hi Iceman, Your blank screen while call could be caused by a loose scrrews on rear panel holding the touch. It can also happen if you recently replaced touch/display. A third-party touch screen can cause the above problem. If none is the above case, you can check if the screen remains on when you make a call with headphones connected. If the headphone connected, your screen stays on, the problem is with sensor, which could have been covered by either dust or by some other object. Ask your service person to look into it. If screen goes off even after headphones connected, replace the sensor. Hope this helps.

do you have gestures beta installed?, if so read instructions, if not, have you tried to turn the screen back on by pressing the power button? if none of these solved your problem then you could have a faulty light sensor. This sensor helps tell the phone to shut the screen and lock to avoid pressing buttons and conserve battery by detecting the absence of light (ex. when your ear covers the screen). Love this phone

I use a proper battery (1800mAh) from our friends at Polarcell and only use 4G with data always on with all background apps (skype, messenger, facebook, email, etc...). with 4G enabled: Approx 22h of real world use before battery runs dry with 4G disabled: Over 48h of normal use with data off btw WIFI uses way more battery than 4G and if you use GPS then expect 2-4h on the battery

Im reading all your opinions and experience's about this phone, but I have only one problem with my Lunua 820... The network. Network bars constantly goes up and down, and sometimes Im not available. Poor battery life as well when u using internet, but I dont mind. Other than that, this phone is amazing. Great camera, stable OS (Im using Denim), great response, u can use few apps and runs smoothly, no stacking etc. Can someone tell me maybe some solution for the network? Last year, I had bought nokia lumia 720 after ignoring some critical feedback from lumia users. From the day of buying, this phone had an issue of dropping the network frequently and with time the issue had become more obvious. (The phone like all other lumias had a bug in Automatic network selection) After research i found out that most of lumia users are having the same issue all over the world and there is no resolution. Yes, Nokia care gave me a quotation of 9000/- INR to fix this bug. Unhappy with the phone, but satisfied with the smartness.

It's just 1mb and u can install it thru store, your PC or thru uc browser. Just soft reset your phone, find a strong Wi-Fi and install it again thru store. It's a very useful app, I've I'd mug favorite app besides OneNote

Dear Sumeetmay thanks for your reply but unfortunately instead of waiting for your reply which is found to be CORRECT I had Hard Reset the phone on 22-1-2015 and the problem was gone but this action has landed me in another problem. Now my one file Manager microsoft APP, " FILES " is not getting installed from STORE . It is giving an error code 80073CF9 . Even if I try to download it on Phone Memory and install it there. Any solution.

The 830 is really good, upper mid-range for a very good price. You won't find the Nokia quality anywhere else. Comparable phones of competitors cost more money. Upgrading from the 820 to the 830 will be a good improvement.

Hi, I just switched from 820 to 830.The 830 is realy a much better smartphone for less money. The 820 was in 2013 500,= Euro. now in 2015 the 830 costs 300,=. Advantages : Camera is much better, also the front camera for Skype or selfies. The battery life is appr. 1 1/2 time better. The smartphone is only 150 gr. and very slim. Int. memory is now 16 GB. So if you have enough money to spend maybe you can wait for the next one. I like this one very much, for the money too. Grtz.

No Plating no taste, No salt, just eat and fill you stomach, Where as Microsoft OS are like structured, You will get only the best. I deployed Server 2012 with HT and Installed Web pages and found only 1 M hits able to handle, If kirat Processer can have one more Hotl installed, it can accomodate 32 More connection. 820 is good for limited server its and not for like Superdome or super computer, But good enough to compair with midrange.

..had been using my son's Lumia 820 for sometime. 4 days back updated to windows 8.1 (CYAN) OTA found some improvements. but after backing up data on Whatsapp.. returned to HOME Screen to find my screen theme is not showing , it is Black now with some tiles also turning Black with white border only. Not even battery removal after shutting down has helped. All my notifications on Lock Screen are not there except time and date. But apart from that phone is working fine. I can watch videos in colour ,coloured Photos etc. But not able to find coloured Buttons while calling for want of colour in the theme. Any solution....

Hi, my lumia 820 was also dead after 6 months. I had a blue screen. I send it too Nokia via my shop. They repaired it, Since then it works perfect. Now I use it for nearly 2 years. Good luck !

Had mine for 7 months..loved it. Worked flawlessly. Ran WP 8.1 for the last 3 months. Then simply got message "Error: Unable to find bootbale option". Now phone has BSOD. In the past year this is the second WP8 device that I've had that was working fine and then just died.. previously had a Lumia 520. Both phones were new (or at least they were advertised as such).

Don't dance with the haters, dancers this is a pure masterpiece of Smartphone's history. Size, Camera, touch, hardware all are very good with its price. Just only one downside is 1650 MAH battery, they could put a 2000 MAH battery. I don't think you've other options over this in its price range.

The power,volume and camera buttons all start to act faulty after 4 months of usage. i have used the nokia 52 and currently using the nokia 820... it seems this issue with the button is a major fault with the nokia lumina series. with out the power button the phone is useless

I've been using lumia 820 for 6 month and then stop using it because of its bad battery life. Upgrade to Lumia 1320 because of its great battery life. Like any windows phone, it doesn't lag at all at my time using it. But the biggest complaints as all window phone users is always not enough app and games but if you use it for work and surfing, it work like wonders. Before using Lumia 820, I using Samsung S3 mini and after few months, it lags a looot even when I'm just surfing the internet. I'm sticking to lumia because of its lag free advantage and yes, I know Apple also doesn't lag but its price has always been a killer.

Sorry to say, you're just a hater. There are about 90 percent reviews came out with complements of this phone. Many sites are there like GSM arena. 10 percent haters are not smart over 90 percent happy owners of N.L 820. I would like to say one thing to you, at first you should learn to use your smart phone properly, otherwise you would not get its best. It's a Carl Zeiss lance camera, and they are world famous professional lance maker, there are no difference between their any 8 mp camera lance. So 8 mp is its just there final 8 mp lance, you can't get better result in any 8 mp lance. We all know it's not a BSI sensor camera, it has limitations to take good low light picture, so there's we have to use the flash or high ISO and exposure setting. I never heard anywhere about your mentioned point that your L820 3g doesn't work properly in certain areas. Really there's lots of reviews where people prices its strong network coverage in any situation, may be you got a faulty device. I don't have such problem, I would say opposite of what you said, this phone got the best network coverage performance in every situation, 2g, 3g whatever it is. There's nothing to disagree here that 1650 Mah battery is not good enough but it works pretty well with its battery saver mood. Even some flagship high range handset got pathetic battery life, so what you can expect from this mid range machine. You shouldn't expect much more with a 200 US dollar phone like in a 500 US dollar phone. Lets compare other brand phones with its price, there are no 4g, no full HD video record, support, no smooth HD game performance etc.

I have this phone and it has only one disadvantage - battery. in other cases phone is perfect: it can load any app and game with no problem; especially i want to underline the colors of display. u can compare the same pictures on lumia 820 screen and any other phone (lumia 925, 1520, galaxy S3, S4) and see the result. U just got a faulty device... Don't blame the entire production line for your faulty device... And the stick on your screen is not for protection, it's like a seal so u know the screen was new. Just take it off and go to a phone store and buy a new protective coat for your phone. My protective coast I'd anti glare and light reflection and it's awesome and it doesn't conflict with my sensors even if it's trapped over the sensors too

Just go activate kids corner and then disable it and it will work...it will say something about a live lock screen thing...if it asks, turn it off...that will solve the resuming thing for good...i had that problem too

After using this sweet little thing about a year, my honest score is... 8.5/10 Why it's special: *You can record full HD video, which is just perfect, extremely sharp, colors are just perfect. *You can get best pictures with its 8mp brand Carl Zeiss lance. *Amazing touch performance, really it's very smooth. About one year now, the touch is still as smooth as like it was in first day. *No lag, no hang problem for anything anytime. *Multi tasking performance is super. *Strong build and hardware, I've dropped it couple of times, one of them was very bad, but nothing happen. It's really a good phone and I'm so happy with it...

I have this phone almost 1 year and I am more than satisfied phone is just great, work fast and smoth. I updated him on win 8.1 with no problem and it work even better. Also I have nexus 4 who is great but wp is much better then android.

Nightmare! The display screen has been broken twice, both times it was a fall from not more than 3 and 1 feet height. So that's ₹4200 x 2 overhead during first year of purchase. The second time i got it back from nokia care, they put on a cheap stick for screen protection, now the screen goes off as soon as i dial or on a call such that i cannot even disconnect it. On top of this, battery backup has gone down to 2-3hrs only if i play music. Oh almost forgot, after first service from nokia care, the camera came off the handset. Using cello tape to keep it attached.

hey guys, i just updated my lumia 820 in india to WP 8.1 after update none of the apps is working. i uninstalled all apps and tried to install them on SD card but not a single app is getting installed. every app/game is giving the same error as "we're having trouble installing this app. If you are trying to update an app and the problem continues, you might need to uninstall the app and then install it again". i even tried to install app from sd card, but no app on sd card is appearing in local storage in store. as such sd card is working fins and my music, videos and pictures are working firn. pl help....

There are TWO parts The first part is relativly small and take about 30 minutes size UNKNOWN I knew that is was too quick to be the full update it is infact ##Microsoft update 8.0.10521.155## Windows phone update 8.0.10532.166 is the biggie THE TOTAL PHONE UPDATE IS HUGE 859MB data par 2 takes time I have DATASENSE, and that is the final figure I did accurately time the second part 60 minutes to 'download' *** 32 minutes 'preparing to install' 27 minutes to 'install' 13 minutes to complete a '19 step migration' IDK why but after this 10 apps needed to be updated although I was already up to date! Also prior to the update I checked my Maps (UK ALL) and they were up to date, and yes you've guessed it after.... *** if you interrupt this stage you have to start again

Hey, Recently made it dual Boot, Working perfectly with both OS, it is just perfect for webserver, Phone website got hit 3K user and guess what, it is able to serve, Thanks for such a robust HW, Galilioa added the location service very quick, leaving behind those Old days GPS , Glonass and blah blah, remote charging made it quick (5 Min) and easy, Need not to connect and as it is standard, I get charging tray on my bus, bus stand.

Its a good phone, but I think my unit have some factory defect. The lens is not perfectly designed...it is uneven and you could really notice it. For a while I thought it is normal, but when I double check with other supplier, theirs have perfectly fitted lens at the back...My supplier (tech box, Philippines) said its normal and their other stock have the same built.....

Little hard to remove the battery like many other phones, there's a about 4 inches single manual page in the box with directions how to remove it. You have to use just only your fingers for it. The thing is I don't use it often. The better option is carry a small charger with (don't know about wear less charging).

No gorilla glass, and may be 1650 Mah battery is not that attractive but I'm using it near a year, I'm so happy with it. It works fine all the time. I dropped it couple of times badly, no single problem (I use screen protector). So I don't have any regret for a gorilla or monkey glass whatsoever. I use battery saver mode which. The thing is I don't think there's any big screen smart phone which can last more then six hours with a strong use like net surfing, gaming etc.

yes it's still very good even after almost two years old now coz they future-proofed it with 1gb ram. the camera is excellent even though it's not pureview and you will be surprised that video recording quality is actually better than photo quality. though the screen is weak as i have scratches coz i never use protector on my phones. i wanna know how tough really are phones are. and it also just yesterday got an update so it's really way better now and it's like brand new. but i suggest if you really like the 820 you can actually compare it with the lumia 822 coz it's slightly better than the 820. has more internal storage and the 820's front cam is just a joke. i hate it. good luck.

Bad Hardware quality. My Lumia 820 dropped from about 70cm on a wooded floor and the Display crashed(not the glass, the Display inside). This is not Nokia quality that I knew! My last 5 smart-phones were Nokia and I had no HW problem with them. Now since Microsoft bought Nokia it seems that quality was left behind... Also the WP8 OP is really a crap, there are some unbelievable missing feature like installing apps/games on SD-card. Most of these problems will be fixed in WP8.1, but too late, personally I am done with Nokia even I was a big Nokia fun. My next phone for sure will not be Nokia.

your mini review of this is really good. you should do a more detailed review once cyan is out but the dev preview i have might just be almost just exactly like cyan, so... yes, you are very right about the loudness of calls but it's really odd coz on viber calls it is loud compared to network-based calls. have you tried that? skype voice calls are also not loud enough. the camera is more than enough for me i don't miss my 808 anymore though i still bring the 808 on special occasions just in case and my favorite part of the 820 too is the wifi signal is just strong. and of course i have 3 spare batteries when i'm really out on a long bike ride and staying in hotels. hotels have chargers anyway so i don't bring chargers of course. i dont wanna be a wall hugger haha

This is an excellent phone. It picks up WiFi from long distances, being its a phone. Some people say they don't hear me loud on a call other than that, its a great phone. The software is nice. I dislike the way it receives calls and dials, for example you must save a contact's number saved with the area code (even locally), otherwise it won't show caller ID properly. Likewise, if you dial without area code, it won't show who you are calling. Overall, its reliable, has decent cameras and it is a good buy.

But L720 got a Nokia pro camera which means it has a BSI sensor and you can take perfect photo in every situation like indoor, night, landscape anything but L820 camera is only good for daylight situation, it has limited features. 820s battery is low only 1650 mah while L 720 is 2000 mah, and it's much thinner and lighter. But the other features are obviously better in L820 from L720. It's superior model indeed.

Works brilliantly .... however the battery drains out quickly than before... the recent patch released on the 14th of may for the battery issue made things more worse , network issue is happening , internet stops automatically , works after reboot only ...would recommend all to wait for the actual release. Lumia 820 was really a good phone from Nokia. Amoled screen was really excellent for colors while playing games. Game lovers must have amoled display. Coming to specifications, has best processor of 1.5 GHz, 1gb ram which is more than enough on a smart phone. Camera was really good for pictures and videos. It also supports micro SD card, may be after upgrading to windows phone 8.1, it may support up to 120 gb card, Microsoft recommends to use class10 micro SD card for best performance. It also has wireless charging capability and NFC. Performance was good with windows phone which doesn't lag at all. Cons: poor battery backup, but for normal usage, stands up to 15 hrs. And the secondary camera is a vga camera, which may not be much better for Skype call/ video calls. Overall the Nokia Lumia 820 was really a good phone.

Battery is the same on my 820 with WP 8.1. In any case, the current "Developers Preview" is actually a beta, so you should expect it to be better in the future, when MS optimizes the software and Nokia (now MS) also gets the 820 new firmware.

ok the amber got the app and it was the best. Coming from Android it was more accurate than My Data Manager, rarely 2MB out. Since the Black Update Data Sense is the worst performer app on my 820. Anybody else notice it as it's driving me nuts when I can be 100Mb out with 500Mb allowance

Nokia / Microsoft are pretty dumb in their range of phonesj. The hardware is almost same as 525 only camera changes. All are dual-cores with 1 gb ram. What stuns me is why they need such as huge array of phones while there is hardly any difference other than minor camera megapixels: 520, 525, 620, 720, 820, 920...3 Mp, 5mp, 6.1 mp, 8 mp...and the list goes on. i bought a lumia 820 almost an year back and i must say i am very satisfied with its performance. i had a galaxy tab 2 earlier but after a few months of use it stared lagging and sometimes the strange behaviour would get on my nerves. The lumia 820, however is a different story. The phone runs smoothly mainly due to the 1.5 ghz dual core processor. Windows phone OS requires a minimum of 800 mhz to operate. The carl zeiss camera does not disappoint one bit and the app response also is very good. The only two downsides are 1: The phone is quite heavy 2: The battery is not adequate .

Lumia Phones doesn't need octa core processor... Dual core is more enough... it is not an android. Android phones are good in Quad Core Processor only... But Windows phones are too good in Dual Core Processor itself without any lags...

I honestly regret buying Lumia 820 and will not ever in my life buy any Windows Phone again. Been using Lumia 820 for almost a year now. So far its been ok. There is still much work required in this os. Popular apps (like instagram)arrive very slowly. The phone itself is fine. Mine lags from time to time but performs otherwise smoothly. Music player is complete shit tho. Creating your own playlists and categorizing music is pain in the arse. Maps are great, as usual for Nokia. This is my first and my last w8 phone. I have Samsung smart tv and an iPad so windows phone doesn't get along with these devices at all. Also even though w8 is getting better and better all the time its still a very raw os. Also this phone lacks screen rotation switch so I could turn it on and off.

none of them have full hd screens,and on a screen size of upto 5" seriously doesn't make a big difference.i am using 820 since more than a year now wp is just good:) and have used it badly for gaming,very smooth,with 1gb ram and 1.5gb dual core,also 1 serious draw back is never purchase a phone with 8gb internal memory,to install one game,have to uninstall another.

It may be due to some interference in signal. If you face the same problem while listening to music also, then bring the handset and headset to nokia care for repairing. hope this helps cheers

If u need speed as regards browsing,the 820 is good. It doesn't mean the other lower ones are not fast,but 820 has a higher clock speed. As for the one with d strongest among 520 through 820,the 720 has the best battery.

you can increase battery life by simply closing background activites by touching the 'back' icon, and reduce screen brightness and by turning off things like bluetooth nfc, of wi-fi when not using... then you can increase battery life, ;)

I have had now 2 820's they are fantastic phones. 1: They are sturdy as anything. My first one i literly threw away from myself everyday (do not obsess over ur mobile overwise u will end up living for it). It finally took me getting extremely drunk and playing football in a weatherspoons with it. Seeing as grown ppl were booting it off tables and chairs it did last alf a hour. I did start the above^ my care for my mobiles well being is meh 2: Windows is fantastic really is. Android is more and more seeming like a a bad step towards this =) Its tidy well if you want it to be. Internal storage ive found to be 0 problems as app's do not create as much mess as they do on android. 3: Its a new phone. 2 years into its life time. 2-3 it will be big. People are starting to create a demand for them 4: We get Cortana in April =p 5: Microsoft GPRS combined with bing i actually find to be slightly more accurate. However Nokia Drive as nice as it is cannot detect traffic like google. Leaving you stuck in a 5 mile jam. 6: Google Apps have not yet been created by google because apprently "There is not enough people on windows 8" . I think for the very first time in their lives Google has told a lie in order to follow a market strategy of keeping great services like google music to google phones for the time being. Xbox music does suck abit 7: Saying that their are great third party apps. Thankfully amazing support on the windows front. The apps are tidyier aswell. Please do remember they are currently a good 5 years behind android on dev time. The apps still out perform usually there android counterpart. 8: I ran my life on Google. Drive , Music etc. I have over 4 months gone Skydrive. It IS better. Its just hard to go back to microsoft. Being able to write Excel sheets on my phone = Epicness I love the Nokia series. The phones are great, I have been sent very kindly a Iphone 5s in gold and believe it or not i sold it without even opening the box. Mmmmm moneys, i kept my lovely Lumia which is making my life every day easyier. Looking at the generic simularitys of iphones now makes me sick, looking at the messyness of android makes me uneasy. Using a tidy Windows Phone makes me complacent. I took along time coming from XP to finally say windows is my home for everything. Windows 7 was epic yes , Windows 8.1 i prefer. Coming from a 30 yr old school gamer... Embrace =) I trade and deal in mobile phones, im also a PC Gamer, Microsoft expert, Sony Ambassador + bunch of other sh, ~Windows phones will rise. Songs can only be downloaded from Nokia Music Store/Mix Radio. The work around is to use Apps like GetThemAll for downloading music,videos etc from websites. However these music/videos wont be available in the Music or Video hub. They can only be accessed via this App. For me, there hasnt been any issues of lagging or phone getting hanged or restarted. It works smoothly, even smooother than droids. There are no issues in connecting Lumia 820 to the PC via USB,its just like anyother phone, just plug the device in USB and it detects.

Downloading songs from Nokia music is very easy and fast. From Microsoft sky drive is good where one can save documents, pics etc and can access from anywhere. Battery is good. However the screen is not strong as it does not use gorilla glass and once the screen of my phone got cracked just after a fall from office table and have to change it after spending 4000/- Rs although the phone was in warranty. I also found that it does not have caller name speaking facility which was available in lower ends phone such as Nokia E63 or E6. Otherwise its a good phone..

If you need your phone to be a deeply customizable computer, you already have android, but if not, WP is as good option as any. It all comes down to apps anyways. I am sorry to rate this as one of the least intelligent phones I've had (among iPhone, Blackberry, Android and Windows Phone). This OS with these specs would have been amazing two-three years ago. I owned a number of Windows phones over the years. Until 5 years ago, they were still great. But now it feels like Microsoft has sorely lost it. Nothing seems to keep the pace. Apps are uninspired and uninspiring; OS is clunky and unintuitive. Having to reset my phone to de-associate with one Microsoft account because I needed to map it to another feels like Windows 98. Nokia Creative Studio feels like a bad joke: all it does is a sepia or other color filter applied over a photo - a gargantuan amount of creativity... Look and feel simplicity would be appealing if it were not just plainly primitive instead (f.e. all you get to customize for the skin is the tiles color - is that all?). Battery is meagre at best (need to recharge 2-3 times a day). I realize the terms of posting are asking for polite opinions. I've tried to do that honestly. But there are simply not many good things to say about this phone. It is way too far from the state of the art.

Better not choose Lumia series today, the OS is not mature. Many things should be done with PC, fot example if you add ringtones to be availabe to be set for ringing ringtone for your phone, it is suggested to transfer ringtone via PC. Android do this no need PC. Other example, if you would like to copy paste, move file, remove file in SD card, you can't. But if you choose Android, you can do it with file manager.

This is not a problem. The files photos and videos on the memory card have thumbnails in the phone memory. Just delete them from your phone memory, the problem is solved.
