This phone is like undying one, I have it for like 3 possibly 4, I guess 3 years, it had to suffer a lot, even a house fire and a lot of water and it still works as new one! And looks as almost new one, on;y few scratches on screen. I love SAGEM! They really are life proof! highest quality.

I have had one for over 2 years as a spare on and off phone. It would not break. I am not the most carful of people and have always needed strong phones. Water didnt break it, niether did dropping it. However it did break after i got a new phone and tested its durablity by throwing it from the top window of my house. It still turns on but most setting will not work. Its a great phone.

It's not a bad phone for the money but it doesn't do Internet with a Virgin sim and the screen on mine mysteriously cracked just two months' into ownership. Sagem refused to repair it so I got rid of it. Terrible customer service.

Hullo Sagem users. thank yo for buyig and using sagem phones. Iwould like to assure you that your have one of the best phones on the planet.before you complain so much about your pone note that some pics, music have to be converted b4 you load on your fone.sagem plays mp3& aac.very few cam try wma. for video try mpeg4 only and for pics use the standard sagem format,i dont remember its name. I took a pic with nokia n70(2.0mp) and sagem my501c(1.3mp) but sagem gave better quality despite the variatiom of pixel. Try the experimentand let me know, you will be amaze at the magic of this little known fone make(sagem)

i gpt the phone in may. the phones very good easy to use, the cameras great and the music player is loud. the only thing bothering me is that when i recieve a photo from any other phone by bluetooth it doesnt open the file it says it is rejected. if any1 has any solution can u please email me and tell me what 2 do. also some games i download they open but take too long to load and it automatically restarts the phone. the other thing is that when i want to play some games it says cant continue memory full and the phone memory is empty. please let me know if u hav solutions.

hello everyone, I would like to draw attention of SAGEM my 501x users. First of all I want to buy Sagem phone and am thinking about 700x or 501x, though it seems that I will stay at 501x but I wonder about troubles you have with it and the one of most common things for me is is it able to navigate through menu or something while listening to the music, I also heard that when 2GB or 1Gb SD is entered the phone becomes frozen, is it true? I am grateful for your information. I know Sagem makes best phones but I need to know it's drawbacks

i've yust got my501X its cool i like it but the problem is it does not accept all types of video files even 3gp files and the idea of video compression should be disregarded and sagem should try to make it a little more flexible

Hi! I just bought the MY501X and I'm quite happy with it, but I just have one question. When you add a contact and you take their photo to add to their details, where does the photo get stored? I checked in the folder where all of my photos go by default(My Pictures), but it isn't there. I just need to find out a way to get the photos attached to the contacts off my phone and (e.g.) onto my PC. Does anyone know what to do? I'd really appreciate it. =^D.

this is a good phone and is spectacular for the price range. i have one major problem though i have managed to delete the sytem files so if anyone knows what file system the memory is supposed to be and could anyone send me the system files via e-mail or something please? e-mail: ([email protected])

hey i just bought the sagem my501x because my motorola broke, ive tried puttin music on this phone from windows media it shows on my multimedia a wma but not on my mp3 how do i make it play?

I bought a MY501x which is the same as the 500x except for the bluetooth. It only cost �39.99 from the Argos sale.The screen has excellent definition & the bluetooth is rapid. The phone connects to my PC with a standard mini USB,same as my camera,& requires no software.In "My Computer" the phone memory & mini SD card are displayed as removable discs.Files can be dragged & dropped to the card or phone memory.So far I have only been able to play mp3 files wma won't play.The player is loud & clear & can be accessed from a button on the side of the phone,which also operates the camera,or from the keypad.The 1.3mp camera gives acceptable results & so far I have not used the video facility.The batery lasts for several days in standby mode but needs charging more frequently if the player is used a lot.Charging is done via the USB so it can be charged from a mates PC if you don't have your charger with you.The construction is a bit flimsy especially the battery cover but overall it is good value for money.

Just to advance on that whole video problem, before I put a video onto the phone I use Xilisoft Video Converter 3 to convert them to the suitable properties (check previous post) so that they can playback on the phone. If your wondering how to do so, its simple. Step 1: Just open up the Xilisoft program (once you've downloaded it from the internet, you'll only need the free version anyway). Step 2: Click add file and select your chosen video. Step 3: Highlight your file(click it once). Now click on the profile drop down menu and select MP4 MPEG-4 Video (*.mp4). Step 4: To your right you will see a box that contains the properties of the video file. Step 5: Now enter the following details within that box. - Video Size: click the drop down box and choose 176x144 (qcif) - Bitrate: 60 - Frame Rate: 16 Step 6: Choose the destination where you want to save the file by clicking browse Step 7: Click encode (when or if the window pops up click later then ok). When the conversion is complete transfer it to the phone. You should now be able to playback videos on your phone. Enjoy.

Bought this phone for someone else a while ago. Although its not mine I still get to use it now and then, and I think its well worth its value. Sending and receiving files via bluetooth is a breeze and the mp3 player is loud and up to standard. The screen and 1.3 mpx camera are also of good quality, as are the videos. And Yes, java games can be easily uploaded onto the phone. I own a psp and I use my mini usb cable to transfer pics, sounds and videos; as well as games onto the phone(so there's no need to buy an expensive sagem branded usb cable, if i remember correctly I got mine for �5 from blockbuster). The memory card slot is also fantastic too, you can get up to 2gb mini sd cards now; so thats about 500 songs on the phone easily. For those with rhe problem of not being able to play downloaded or received videos from other decives, there is a solution. You own a my501C or a my501X. You are trying to send or download a videoto your mobile. It refuses to record or play it. So that your mobile can store or play videos that you send to it, thesefiles need to respect certain limits, as listed below: - Format: 3gp, MPEG-4 (according to version) - Video Codec : H263, format SQCIF or QCIF - Bitrate : below 70 Kbps - AMR sound format - Frames per second : 16 maximum (fps: frames per second) Taken from the sagem website: Other than that, this phone is GREAT (ignore the bad reviews, they just dont know how to use a phone). NOTE: I use www.getjar.com to download free games for the phone.

hi there, have read all your comments and have to add my own. i have recently bought this phone and have had nothing but problems with it. used it for a couple of days from new then it started coming up with 'sim problem'. had sim checked but was nothing wrong with it. the phone just got worse as each day passed. continually freezing, delayed key response, wouldnt send mms message at all, sometimes wouldnt send sms message, couldnt stop ringtone when sms came through, it just kept playing and playing quite embarresing when your ringtone was set to 'captain scarlet'!! the list goes on. i was a bit disappointed with it. have sent it off to be repaired and am waiting for it back now, but will sell it when it is finally returned. i also have the 6-2 and that is a lovely phone, i have had no probs with that at all.

right,i just got this phone yesterday and was worried about how it would be following all the comments everyone put on gsmarena,so i paid �60 for it,and wow what a phone,the mp3 is loud enough to be heard from one end of a room to another,the camera is very good for a 1.3mp camera,even the video is smashing,the phonebook is easy to use and the bluetooth is rapid to recive and send,and it is a nice easy to use 10 out of 10 phone,if you want a phone for crimbo,don't buy any other--BUY the sagem my501x

i just got a my501x, its the best fone money can buy. bluetooth, mp3 player, long lasting battery very very good resolution camera, and off course very cheap and affordable if u can try and get it u wont regret it , i cant say of my500x but i can say of my501x. men the bluetooth is awesomely fast. i just wished it had FM radio.

@hosoga:You should buy 6-2. @kbs from Belgium:I imagine an up-date will be available.The phone is actually a Bird product. Maybe the zoom is *8,but you have only 5 steps. The mp3 for 6-2 has the same desavantage,more, the back-light is always on. And yes is a imature product for the end of 2006...I agree. Boila!

well on, but for me cuts unlimited means size unlimited (especially if it there is ecrit that it is according to memory disponible), zoom 8x siginifie zoom 8x and not 5x but what I like less it is when same the mp3(surtout that I bought it for Ca, for step to have to take gsm and mp3) not navigation in the file, not possible to make another thing bus obligation to remain in the multi-media reader..., one cannot same lira the hour without being obliged to start again the started file, finally short if I had suj' would have to buy another and if I could I, I would change it

don't buy this phone, the memory cash (like computer,but i don't know if i 'm using the correct word) is very cheap video max size 15 sec(even if you choose illimited size) the video is bad, you can read any video, with an 1G sd card the speed is very low, you only can make one utilisation,mp3 or the rest i mean you can't read your sms or make something else so if you want to buy this phone for the video,the mp3 player and the sd card, you should not reconsider because i did and i am now trying to find a way to give it back
