Samsung T729 Blast - User Reviews

  • T729? May 2nd? (1729)

  • Well throw it to trash can

  • my mobil samsung model blast t729 no set menu display internet / wap please how can i do now?

  • I love this phone. I love the keyboard and am not going back to a ABC keyboard. I recommend buying it.

  • yes, just put whatever song u want onto the main phone memory (not the card) and click on options on the song and click on "set as default ringtone"

  • i have this phone but after a while the buttons started to stop working n the screen starts turning white so it kinds sucks but it is easy to text really fast but im gettin another phone.somebody have any suggestions?

  • Thet key board is easy to use when you learn to get used to it and it comes quick. The blutoothe is great for music transfering and the music player on front side below screen is great to use when just walking down the road or the beach with my blutoothe headphones on!!! So I have to give this phone a great review!!! But only holds a 2 Gig card/only down fall.

  • I agree, the keys are very har to use especially when sending text...

  • i do not like it.

  • By the way....The key pad is VERY hard to use. As you will see in the pictures, the letters are in a keyboard format, vs. the traditional ABC DEF GHI format...There are 2 letters per button. I guess this is a takeoff on the blackberry style that also uses the keyboard format. The difference is that on this Samsung phone, with 2 letters per button, it is VERY hard to text message. I think this design is terrible, because it is not like you can use 2 hands easily and push 1 button per letter. It does not make sense to me to organize the keypad in this format. Maybe it is just because I am not used to it, but who is with 2 letters per button with keyboard style?? Very annoying..

  • I had the earlier Samsung slider model - loved it. Then switched to the Sony Ericcson v580i walkman...Liked it better than the previous Samsung...I flushed it down the toilet, literally...and I used the insurance to get another phone, but could not get the v580i again. The only option was the Samsung t729...I am VERY disappointed in this phone. The camera is only 1.3 mp, and the quality is terrible. The camera is not user-friendly in the way it is set up!!! To send a text message, after you type it, you have to go through like 3 more menus to send it. The sound quality for calls is terrible, sounds like the person on the other end has a ziploc bag over the speaker. There are only a few (like 10) ringtones on it, and they are ALL what I call "fruity" - I don't like ditsy, "fruity", la-de-da ringtones, and that ALL that is on this phone! There is not even 1 that sounds like a half-way normal ringtone (a beep or ring or alert). The selection bar (the background of what you are selecting as you navigate through menus and options) is an awful bright PINK color! THERE IS NO WAY to change it. So, all you men out there (I am a girl, but I don't even care for the pink) - go ahead and buy this phone with "fruity" ringtones and a pink highlighted selector bar....I just called the cellular insurance company and am demanding a different phone. This one is TERRIBLE!- VERY poor battery life, very poor picture taking quality, the screen resolution is even bad, menus and navigation is not user-friendly, very few ringtones that are all "fruity", a highlighted background of PINK - cannot change, (there is even not an option for a theme- that changes font/background colors, = a far cry from the previous model of this slider phone!

  • does anyone knows the unlock code for T-mobile T729 BLAST phone.... please help me, iwant it to unlock my phone.... thx...

  • I love Samsung Products, but this phone is seriously...not as good as the other two Samsung's I've had. It has less customization features than earlier models (changing the numbers to sticky notes, taking picture modes, ect.) And although it has a nice design, it is poorly built. The buttons on the front keypad on my phone have already started to malfunction (directional buttons, call and clear button, the rest will lag), and it hasn't even been a year. It also randomly shuts off, won't let me sign into e-mail accounts, (But it'll let me use messaging services and internet) and the keypad is already cracking from minimal use. And like other users have said, it's wobbly when you slide it up and it has to be charged several times a day. I'm planning on sending it to Samsung soon to get it checked out. If it wasn't for these problems, (Except for customization, I can live without that) then this phone would be a great phone to have.

  • this phone sucks its all about the lg ke770

  • I've had the phone for almost a year now, and I love almost everything about it. The only 2 things I don't like about the phone is that I need to replace the battery since the phone heats up if I talk for more than 20 minutes, and I wish that I could have mp3s playing after I close the music player. Is there any way to do this? Thanks!

  • had my blast for a year love it but the screen just went dead after a year i loved the key pad but don't know what happen

  • I have had this phone for a few months now. The only problem I'm having with this phone is that I need to charger it 5 times a day. the phone and everything is brand new I just got it all replaced.

  • on main screen press Ph.Book, in menu you will see(5) Block List

  • please tell me how to find the block list

  • I've had my blast for about six months. Love the design and screen size, very good reception.the only complaint is I wish the photos would fill the entire screen.I would definitely recommend this especially for anyone who does a lot of texting.cheers.

  • can someone give me samsung contact email... because I can't find it on samsung.com and I want to contact them because: when I'm logging to ICQ on this phone, only 1/6 of my contacts are there(about 25-30 people)how can I fix this?????

  • the best feature of this phone is the block list menu which some phones don't have. i am able to block telemarketers.

  • yes you can play music on it.

  • ccann yu play music on this?

  • Is there a way to change the color of the pink highlighted setting? I just got this phone for my son and can't find a way to get rid of the pink.

  • i have it for 1 year, and i love it. downloaded lots of pics, ringtones, mp3, and it is easy to add to the playlist just open fun&apps, than music player, than the upper arrow, than options, than add music from, than phone... and it should work I also play some games, like brain chalenge. cool phone

  • this phone is okay. however, my brother is experiencing difficulties with this phone because some of the buttons do not work. he has gone through about 2 phones with the same problem. one day it would work okay and the next the some buttons do not work. iono why, but he insists on still getting it replaced but not replaced with a newer model. is anyone experiencing this kind of problem as well?

  • is it possible to make a song in the blast's music library into a ringtone?

  • Buy a compatible USB cable(Found at most tmobile stores or online. Usually listed as T739 compatible.) Then go to Samsung's website and go to consumer>Mobile Phones>Carrier - T-mobile and choose the blast from the dropdown menu. At the bottom right you will be able to choose Downloads then Software and get PC Studio 3.2.1. Install PC studio before connecting your phone(Will warn you to disconnect while it installs drivers if plugged in) and go to multimedia manager. You can then move files to the phone or SD card. Remember only 11MB of internal memory, so dont load it up too much. Use the SD card for anything that isnt a ringtone/wallpaper.

  • Honestly, this is the worst samsung phone i have ever owned. Dont get me wrong, im a loyal samsung customer but this phone is by far the worst. The part that slides wobbles a lot when i slide it up, it easily looses reception in my pocket, people on the other end of the line have difficulties hearing me, low user memory, cant allow user bed words to the word bank, keypad takes time to get used to and many more. If you're thinking about buying this, good luck.

  • ive had this phone for 2 years and ive been trying to figure out until now how to add mp3's to this phone. i can see that there's a playlist..how do i add songs to it? i think i lost the cd that i needed to download in order to start with this whole process. do i need a usb cable? where do i insert it on my laptop? i have no blutooth so i think that wouldnt be possible. i really need help, thanks in advance.

  • nice design but it's really cheap feeling. My last phone was a Razr and it got way better reception with the same carrier ( T-Mobile ). I guess I'd say that it's just ok. meh.....

  • i think its a really sweet phone. works very well and is very handy and efficient. i loooove this phone!!

  • samsung t729 type. new but use color less nokia tradition
