guys i forgot my phone pass. not pin.... i have zv30. i press the specific numbers tou reset full my phone. but it wants to press the pass who i don't remember!! what i can do for that?

My Zv also has the tendancy to reboot itself. When this occurs it doesn't allow me to access the Vodafone menu.As soon when one enters the menu it restarts.I use the Samsung reset code to clear the menus and backup all numbers,smsse and links etc because this wipes all.Code *2767*3855#.When you clear cache,history and cookies daily it seems that it happens less.

Hey all - firstly if you post questions to me in this board there is a very good chance that I wont see it as I dont visit this page very often, if you have a query please get hold of me directly on [email protected] I noticed there are a few complaints about the phone restarting when you access vlive - I too had this problem, I found that it started happening after i used my laptop to connect to the internet via my cell. It seems like something goes haywire in the phone when you use it as a modem - as for fixing the problem... I havent found an answer yet but what I did was back up all my data on my phone and set it back to the factory settings - not the reset option in the menu, you have to hard-reset it using a code. WARNING: do not use these codes if you are not having problems - It WILL erase everything on your phone and set it back to it's original state. *2767*3855# (E2P full reset) *2767*73738927# (resets phone, no msg displayed) -one or the other should work, i find the top one works best- then you copy your data back onto your phone and carry on with life. If you dont want to risk resetting your phone you can try using Opera mini browser but you may find it hard getting it onto your phone without internet access and if you have it already you cant download with it. Maureen - Media player should pick up the songs automatically, it might not be in media player's playlist tho. to add a song to the playlist click menu and then choose 'my files'. in the file browser press right on the navigation keys to change the view from 'all' to 'phone' or 'memory card' (depending where the songs are saved) open the 'sounds and ringtones' folder and scroll down the list to the song you want then press options. from here you can play the song, add it to the playlist, move it, copy it or whatever else you want (you might not be able to send it to someone via bluetooth because of piracy issues and copyright infringement) Antonio - as for you not being able to access vlive. this could be a variety of reasons ranging from your sim card not being activated for data to your phone not having the correct settings. I need more information to help you with connecting your phone to your pc, are you using bluetooth, usb or infrared? please mail me directly if you still need help with your problems. There have been concerns about cellphone viruses - well dont worry about it yet! currently all cellphone virus are written for the symbian platform and the ZV30 doesnt use symbian, in fact if you get a virus via bluetooth your phone will save it in the 'other documents' folder because it doesnt know what to do with it. the last tip is when using the camera a lot of people haven't been able to work out how to change the brightness of the picture, its quite easy - when you are in camera mode use the volume control on the side of the phone to set your brightness up or down (very useful in low light conditions) any other problems? please email me and I will help you out. take care all Warren

To TM; The highest res size is 176x144. The Main speakers aren't going to be great in a noisy area, but do play at passable volume, but the headset seems much lowder. Unfortunatly you have to use the included headset as they connect using a funny adapter. Charging seems to vary on how much you use the phone, and what you are using it for, but I tend to charge mine every 2nd day, but giving it "top up" charges won't do it any harm as it's a li-ion battery. A full days use (8Hours) of the media player seems to drain 1-2 bars

for me is one of the best phones but i think that samsung have to make a phone with the same size of the SGH E317, but with 265k 65k outside bluetooth,infrared, gprs class 10 camera 2.1 with flash, voice tags & recorder and mp3 player and radio. BUT REMEMBER WITH THE SIZE OF E317 or Better S307

The video format is saved as a 3gp format, and it's at cif quality. Just got a 1GB transflash card, whch actually makes the media player worth using. The phone seems to not have any trouble acessing the increased size.

Mike, i phoned samsung and they told me its not the phone but the vlive downloading engine or something that is problematic. but i'm not convinced cos my bro has a motorola and he downloads more from vlive than me and has never had this problem. samsung told me the phone can't pick up viruses.

The phone is awesome, Brilliant looks/lines etc. the camera is great. Battery life sux but only if you stuff around on it alot... My network coverage with 3g is ridiculous in my area but works like a charm when got coverage. Screen resolutiom is the best ive ever seen for the screen of its size. 1 prob is it is pretty confusing at first. love samsungs bt not there batterys

Does anyone else have the problem where the phone switches off when you try to access the internet (press the vLive! button)? I've sent it in for repairs 3 times and they eventually replaced the phone but now its happening with the replacement phone as well. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Nice phone, the only negative except the battery life is that the volume seems to be very low compared to other phones I have heard. Is their a way to get more volume ? Regards Derek

i have the phone now for 2 months. its an excellent piece of equipment! the camera has lots of funky features. sound quality is gr8. byt yes the batery doesnt last long. otherwise is love it. the 3g is fast and efficient for using the phone as a modem for the internet, and i dont have any problems to connect to my pc (link, bluetooth and infrared). i like the phone, and i use it alot

All those having issues with your ZV30 - you're in luck! - A few tips to save battery power: turn off what you dont use like the bluetooth, 3G and even turn off the external LCD but the best way to save power is set your screen brightness on the lowest setting. - problems with bluetooth connecting to pc: the main reason is because the samsung software is pretty useless. stick to transfering files with the windows bluetooth software. if you want to use your phone to connect your laptop or whatever to the internet you are better off using the nokia pc suite (its quick, simple and the connection software does find the phone) - looking for themes? dont bother... there arent any! but I have a better answer - connect your phone to a pc and copy a theme file to the pc. then rename the file from theme.thm to theme.zip (yip, im serious - it's actually a zip file) use winzip to open it and change whatever you want. If you have other problems mail me and i'll try to help - cant promise anything tho. and please refrain from mailing me dumb-ass questions. Take Care Warren

If you dont use the 3G feature that often, you can turn off 3G and just use the normal GSM connection, it's under connectivity

You can set the phone to only use the GSM network not UMTS (3G) from settings- connectivity- network mode and selecting the GSM band you want

I've tried to link it using the USB it came with but also I've had no luck and have since. They only way I've been able to sinc is via Inferred, which needless to say is slow

hey everyone for those who are asking how many songs this phone holds well if each song is at least 4mb each then atleast it will hold 10 songs but you can buy a memory card

the number of songs it can hold depends ont eh quailty of the song and how much external memory you have, but if each sog was 2 MB, you could hold 20 on the internal memory - provided you dont have any other files

guy i recently got the zv30 and the picture quality is clear and really good. ive got 10 songs on the fone and each are around 5mins and the sound quality is good and you can put heaps more songs on too. if you like video calling this fone is what you've been looking for.. and memory slot comes in handy..

Hey ... I got the phone and it's very nice. But battery life is really bad - I basically have to charge it every day...although charging does not take that long. But otherwise it's really cute. If you don't mind charging your phone every day - and if you're going to use the 3G featuers I would definately recommend that you go for the phone.

The phone does support a 512 mb card. I have one and it seems fine, except that i dont know if the phone will actually read more than 256 mb off the card.I havent filled the card yet.Battery life could be better.Maybe Samsung should have changed that instead of removing the "closed" camera function!

As far as I know the phone has been relesed in New Zealand and South Africa, I have one and it is a very nice phone. The spaekers could be louder and the camera quality a bit better. When the phone is closed and the camera button is held in, the camera will not start. Samsung took this feature away as too many people complained !!! I think they should of left it. To the other people that post here, I would assume that this is a place where we can all communicate and help each other with info about the phones, just posting as saying "my friend has one" is no help. Maybe read some of the other peoples questions and try be of some assistance. Thanks

CIF video is good! It is abit more than 300-400 what normal digital stills cameras use to shoot video the important thing is to find out about the FPS (Frames Per Second).
